Kajun Puno - Hiddens Report.

Intelligence: 39/150.

Heart: 145/150.

Chin: 139/150.

Injury Proneness: 125/150.

Self Confidence: 113/150.

Cuts: 72/150.

Fast Learner: 95/150.

Natural KO: 138/150.

Average: 108.3/150. Rank: 6,834 out of 189,487 (top 4%)

Damn near maxed out heart, chin, KO power, supported by pretty good confidence. Low IQ, slightly below average cut hidden, his biggest hindrance was learning speed being above average ish and not being able to catch all the elite learners from his generation... had he been a faster learner he would of been at the top longer. It just took him forever to reach skill cap.

31 years old drop off... he was declining/depopping before he reached his skill cap iirc.

This is my favorite so far.

Hey, maybe I'm wrong but I think confidence is the most overrated hidden. I would put IQ above it as well.

Depends who you're fighting or fighting with.

IQ has two confirmed uses...

Finishing hurt opponent, and not giving up position during failed sub attempts.

If you have low IQ fighter facing big heart fighter, you can be in trouble if you hurt them and dont finish them.

I feel like you absolutely need both heart and chin above lightweight. Chin MUST have heart, but you can survive with heart and no chin, especially in lighter w/c.

KO power is that random RNG triumph factor. It trumps sliders and everything else if you get favorable rolls. It puts opponents below you in energy battle and scores more pts per strike.

Certain sliders require certain hiddens to support them. Builds like Bowser, Diggs, and Rocker made them very difficult to beat on high aggro high accuracy. Takes godly KO power (to phase them) and confidence to keep up with their output and they were durable enough to not get decleated by the "one shot one kill" KO roll.

Sure, of course different builds/opponents favor different hiddens. We're speaking generally. Definitely agree with everything re heart and chin, which is why I say heart > confidence. In my opinion that minimum threshold of heart is more important than the minimum threshold of confidence. Plus there smore benefits to high heart than there are to high confidence.

As long as my fighter has KO power, I would take 140 heart and 90 confidence. If my guy was pillow fist, I would swap confidence w/ heart most of the time.

Confidence is huge for output.

Heart is only useful if you get hurt (or prevent from getting hurt) and maybe SFTF and confidence arguably more important since SFTF basically just cranks up your fighters aggro which can be useless for zero confidence fighter who already shut down cuz he lost 2/3rds of the fight.

Confidence also extremely viable for counter striking.

Btw I select KO power, heart, chin every single time at creation. If was creating grappler or intentional point fighter, I would swap KO power with confidence and still select heart and chin.

In theory, I agree with all your saying. Just in my experience found it to be not as necessary as the theory suggests or at least exaggerated.

Also Chief Tappenahomma - 48/150 confidence - making him the highest of the three fighters whose hiddens Ive checked.

I have 3 spar bots I will retire and check eventually. One of them will be 0 or close to it. I dont even remember the others, which leads me to believe they were at least decent.

like you say a low confidence fighter is tough to deal with unless they have major ko power (ed gein) -- they get hurt or rocked, start out slow they are done for most part -- i pretty much pick heart confidence and either chin or ko same and just hope for decent learning

Fuck you Diggs... Fuck you.

Chris Kennedy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Diggs cracks Kennedy with an open hand slap.

And that's the end of the fight!

That power vs his chin... I'm still shocked I got a Hunter Jones chinless reject into the top 40. A small consolation after finding out my sub par roster from 2015 was no sub par... I was.

Actually he claimed he thought his learning speed was bad. He was only like Respectable/Wonderful/Respectful/Respectful when i picked him up. I wonder how he feels after seeing this.

My one bad decision!

Thanks for reminding me why I sacked him, it was 6 years ago and I had kind of forgotten. I was still a bit noobish. I don’t think I would have been so hasty nowadays.

Got a similar situation now though where I hired this guy Damagon Encharya after my alliance mate released him, for only having a granite chin. We did all try and talk him out of it! Went on to pop lethal high kicks etc. Now #22 p4p and looking upwards. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=326581

Ramses wasn't a world beater. In his last fight I actually used 100 damage but didn't bring results. Obviously didn't know he had 150 KO power.

Wasn't intended as a slight to you or anything, just commenting on the hiddens. Obviously would have been better higher weight class. And probably a more traditional build.

Not sure if I drawn the correct conclusion, but judging by the numbers in this thread, it seems like hiddens are not as crucial as I figured. Decent hiddens with a good manager seem more than enough to get to the top.

Again I'd disagree. Few are posting their cans. They're posting the guys they succeeded with. All you gotta do is look at "hidden average " and if you see guys in the top 10%, talking about top 36k out of 360k of all time covering 10-11 yr span...

Helix top 0%

Pluto 0%

Womba top 1%

Taj top 1%

Bowser top 1%

Viktor Tsoi 1%

Martin St Louis 1%

Puno top 2%

Also chance those 1% guys are really 2% guys

Guys Gwad are posting top 9%.

Even bum ass managers like Ryan could hardly lose eith Remy Highjack (top 0%).

Most guys who were top fighters and not appearing in top % have low IQ. Injury Proness(actually a good thing), and/or cuts hiddens dragging them down.

Without a doubt there are exceptions. I think much more common in lighter weight classes where it seems chin, KO power, and confidence are good enough to go streaking.

The whole ranking thing is kinda meaningless as some hiddens are much more important than others. Injury proneness is not only meaningless, its paradoxical.

I used to think good injury hidden is only benefitial later in careers when calculating skill decline, chin weaker... 100% useless in fighters prime unless entering EPL style tournament, and I wouldn't be surprised if completely useless hidden in general (doesn't have any or substantial impact).

Yea everyone always said that and I thought I witnessed it myself with Todd, who got injured a ton and then started de-popping real early. Now I see he had a drop-off of 28 years old which I'm sure played the much larger role.

Might impact % or rate that skills decline or lower the adjusted skill cap.
