Kimbo Slice vs Iain Tower @ SFL 133

The two best heavyweights of their era finally clash at SFL 133. Both legends of the sport, Kimbo, 43, and Iain Tower, 38, were a long way from being the #1 P4P fighters that they once were, but it was a highly anticipated matchup that fans had been waiting on for over a decade.

Kimbo big brothered Iain from start to finish in a fight that looked like a juiced up Tito Ortiz beating up on the corpse of Chuck Liddell. Kimbo looked relatively flawless in his SFL debut, knocking Tower down twice before putting him to sleep with a big overhand right for his 47th win and 43rd knockout of his career.

For as much praise as we can toss Kimbo, we can criticize Ian Tower's performance. He clearly hasn't been the same fighter since Kilo Maluga flattened him to steal the P4P throne. His gameplan was atrocious. After throwing one head kick he did nothing but desperately shoot for takedowns like a fish out of water. You have to question his move to the Kung Pao gym in Tokyo after that performance and if they properly prepared their fighter for this bout.

Or maybe the reality is that Tower just isn't the same fighter that he was under Alex K and Mac Little. That his physical gifts have parted, and now he's just a giant post-steroid Tim Sylvia tuna turd. For a fighter that has been violently knocked out in 3 of his last 5 outings, it's hard to fault him. But somebody in his camp should tell him to hang up the gloves or take cardio seriously because beatings like the one he suffered by the hands of Kimbo are life altering.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Conor The BarbarianMixed Martial Arts Fighter - Massive Wanker

Conor the Barbarian (36-9-0) vs Massive Wanker (25-5-0)

Conor the Barbarian (36-9-0) puts the SFL Heavyweight championship on the line against Massive Wanker (25-5-0) in the main event of the evening and is surely entering the fight a heavy favorite. But some pundits are predicting an upset.

Under the tutelage of recently #1 ranked manager David Morrison and training at the Convicted KT Facility in Los Angeles, Massive Wanker earned his way to a title shot with a 5 fight win streak that was capped off with an upset against a big name making his SFL debut in Sean Harrison (14-4-0) in what was arguably his most impressive performance up to date.

Conor is the reigning defending SFL champion carving out a path to the Hall of Fame by melting everybody that steps in front of him not named Kilo. Conor is on an 8 fight win streak including 6 consecutive title defenses. Conor's last fight with Ben Slam was pure fireworks that only ended after Ben Slam's corner through in the towel for his fighters safety and fled to another org to get away from the mighty power of the Barbarian.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Oliver LancasterMixed Martial Arts Fighter - Ryszard Wojcik

Oliver Lancaster (29-13-0) vs Ryszard Wojcik (30-14-0)

The Middleweight champion Oliver Lancaster (29-13-0) takes on Ryszard Wojcik (30-14-0) in a rematch long in the making.

The current champ is 8-2 since dropping down to Middleweight and 4-1 in title fights. His only loss coming to the great Edison Atunes in a time when he was still under inferior British management. After training with Chris Karter for 1 camp he leveled up and got in the best shape of his life. Due to philosophical differences, OIiver settled at Lakeside Jiujitsu. He reclaimed the championship belt with a big TKO victory over Sergey Shipilov (22-10-1) and is now set to make his first title defense under Optimal management.

Wojcik is one of the hardest hitters in the MW division, a lesson Lancaster learned the hard way during his middleweight debut. Lancaster is all too familiar with the power that Wojcik possesses because he was knocked out cold with a beautifully timed punch at SFL 87. Wojcik has only lost to the top tier fighters in the division and he's cracked a lot of talented fighters chins in the process. His latest win came over fan favorite Slugger Dunes, who immediately fired TJ Mitchell and is currently seeking a manager because of it.

Two fighters with heavy hands, it's a tough fight to call. One would expect Oliver to come in top form and give Wojcik hell but time and time again Wojcik has shown he has fight changing power and it only takes one punch to end the fight.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Izzy BanginMixed Martial Arts Fighter - Roli Poli

Izzy Bangin (28-3-2) vs Roli Poli (34-9-3)

In our most colorful event of the evening, two of the top fighters in the world square off for the 4th time. It's hard to find a more evenly matched fight than these two.

They've fought 3 times and 2 of them resulted in a draw. Some fans were outraged thinking Poli won the first two meetings and Poli doesn't disagree. In the 3rd fight Poli decided to swing for the fences and not leave it up to the judges, but other than a big head kick in the 3rd round that knocked Izzy down and rocked him, Izzy dominated the entirety of the 5 round fight and retained his title in the end.

Izzy has been nothing less than dominant since joining the SFL. He's 11-2-2 with 6 title defenses under his belt. Since joining Andy's Sweaty Men he's put on some masterclass performances. He's only been finished once in his career and that was to 30+ fight veteran Darwin Budlovski who was obviously juicing while he was under TJ Mitchell's management. Izzy is 5-0-2 in his last 7 fights and rarely loses a round.

Poli's a former #1 P4P fighter and PFC Hall of Famer that knows what it takes to get to the top and stay there. Izzy clearly modeled his game after Poli, former team mates under the Eskimo brothers of Blake & Blake, they spent plenty of time in the showers together. Poli's been on a tear since joining the SFL under David Morrison's management putting together a record of 7-1-2. Riding a 5 fight win streak, he's undeniably earned another shot at Izzy Bangin.

Lots of statistics, but I hope to make Billy Bob Brown just another statistic on my record tomorrow.
Good luck BBB, may the best man win, as long as he looks like Randy Couture!

If what I heard is correct, than SFL is being taken over by Combate, the Rio de Janeiro-based powerorg.
Well, I wouldn't mind making a statement to them so that I get picked up as well. My last fight was very dissapointing, so this might be an all or nothing kinda thing next against Puno. Win or loss, the cleaning ladies will have a lot of blood to clean up after this one!

Aaah oef, short work, good work!

round1.jpg
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison connects with a right hand. Puno shakes it off.
cut2.gif
It looks like Jeronimo Puno has been cut.
Puno throws a sloppy head kick and Harrison moves out of range easily.
Puno throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Harrison lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Puno looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Harrison throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Puno ducks right into an uppercut from Harrison.
Nice uppercut there from Harrison.
cut2.gif
Jeronimo Puno's cut is getting worse.
Puno throws a half hearted mid kick.
knockdown2.gif
Harrison cracks Puno with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Harrison has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Puno to stand back up!
rocked2.gif
Puno is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Harrison swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Harrison throws an overhand right that drops Puno like a sack of potatoes! Harrison dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean Harrison!
Post fight, Sean Harrison stared into the camera and said 'Kilo vs me would take max 3 minutes, either way. '.
