LAFC 4 Summary

image.png.bff4092ba4862e2c9a893fc17c16ee24.png

Kalev Ruutu vs Owen Davies

A very back and forth fight. Both fighters showed off their Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu skills. Just when you think it's over, Owen Davies has won by decision. No! Kalev Ruutu locks in an armbar with 34 seconds left. Way to get the finish!

Lerrick Dewis vs Olej Saganov

According to reports Olej Saganov said he was going to come out swinging and he did just that! He cut Lerrick Dewis and knocked him down quick! But when Saganov followed him to the ground, Dewis finished him with an awesome Arm Triangle with 1 second left in the first round! What a way to end your first fight!

Orange Cassidy vs AJ Penn

Orange Cassidy was very aggressive and dominant on the ground. He came out, shot for the take down, and got the quick submission. So it's back to the drawing board for Penn, who could definitely use some work on his ground game.

Mark Hughes vs Jack Ryker

Hughes showed dominance in round 1. As the fight went on Ryker adapted his gameplan, made more moves, and tried for a big finish at the end of the fight. Hughes wins the decision, but Ryker showed he is a smart fighter that never gives up.

Brian Burns vs Chunk Liddell

Brian Burns is turning into quite the crowd pleaser scoring raving fan ratings consistently. I mean who doesn't love a good KO? Reports say both of these fighters wanted to put on a show. Which usually leads to a good brawl or in this case KO of the night. Don't be surprised to see "The Ice Cream Man" make a big comeback.

Bruce Banger vs Faron Cardoso

Faron Cardosa came out looking for a takedown and got stuffed a few times, which seemed to be quite the hit to morale. Another dominant 1st round finish for Banger who calls for anyone willing to bang and put on a show.

Worf Mogh vs Harry Wang

Wang struggled pretty bad scoring only 2/57 striking in all 3 rounds, but Mogh looked very good. He controlled the fight with his clinchwork and showed that he can fight his way to a title shot! The question being, can he get through the undefeated Robbie Shewmaker? Maybe we will see that fight soon to come.

Co-main Event

Inacio Avezedo vs John Reese

An unfortunate go here for Reese, who began this fight undefeated. He got the early takedown which looked to be a good start, but was quickly submitted by the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu specialist Inacio Azvezedo. Both of these fighters sit at the top of the division and are top contenders. Don't be surprised if these two meet again down the road to the title!

Main Event (170 lbs Title)

Shewmaker vs St Pierre

The most hyped fight since the beginning of LAFC and Robbie Shewmaker gave another great performance leaving many wondering if anyone in this division can compete with him. Not only is he now 3-0, all of those wins are first round submissions. Looks like St Pierre is heading back home empty handed. They say you can't call yourself the Champion until you defend your title, so congratulations Robbie Shewmaker on becoming the first true LAFC champion

Janky Jankens vs Stevie Starfish

In Round 1 Stevie Starfish came out looking like he was going to compete for the first minute or so, but he got winded very fast. From there Janky Jankens dominated the rest of the fight. He showed he really knows how to work the clinch, landing 167 punches from the clinch in 3 rounds. What a chin on Stevie! The win goes to Janky Jankens who really got the crowd going. Perhaps Starfish will be working on his conditioning for next fight?

Mike Tyson vs Ryan Nameth

Ryan Nameth started the fight looking really good. He landed some good kicks and stuffed 3 takedown in a row. Then in comes Mike Tyson with a nice punch leaving Nameth with a cut. Soon after Tyson finally got the takedown, moved to top mount, landed some blows, and locked in the armbar for a first round submission. Both fighters looked pretty good.

Bryce Lee vs John Matrix

A pretty one sided fight here. John Matrix was controlling the fight from the start with a solid takedown. He was pretty fast to pass guard and lock in the quick Kimura. Not to bad for a BJJ whitebelt with a passion for gardening! Bryce Lee may have to be more aggressive if he wants to get some strikes in, he is an excellent boxer.

Jack Thomson vs Ron Rousey

WOW. What a crazy fight! Ron Rousey was landing punches and dropped Thomson in only seconds. By the time Rousey went down to the canvas to finish him, he was tapping out. What a turn of events! Thomson finishes by armbar 23 seconds into the first round after getting rocked! Just goes to show how fast an armbar can finish you. Both of these guys put on a quick, but very exciting fight and the crowd loved it.

Lazarus Limbtwister vs Magomed Mihailov

Both of these guys showed their aggressiveness on the ground. Lazarus Limbtwister was just too fast for Magomed. He got the takedown and was transitioning swiftly. Limbtwisters YMCA Judo lessons have definitely paid off as he is on a 2 fight win streak and undefeated in the LAFC after another 1st round submission. Magomed Mihailov showed some good things and can definitely bounce back a better fighter with some training.

Bill Goldberg vs Jack Hammer

Bill Goldberg all night! Hammer didn't even stand a chance. Goldberg got the takedown and all his opponent could do is protect himself. The elbows and punches rained down for the entire round. Although Jack Hammer did a good job defending half of the shots, but he showed he definitely needs work on his ground game if he wants to contend with talent in this division. Bill Goldberg moves on to become 2-1 with a last minute TKO at the end of round 1.

Zico Macedo vs Nedser Kiely

Round 1 was a one sided performance by Kiely who really got to showcase his boxing skills and refused to go to the ground. Round 2 looks similar to round 1 for a few minutes until Kiely gets the clinch and Macedeno gets the takedown. Macedeno looked for the submission for the last minute and a half or so, but was not successful. Round 3 Macedeno got the takedown after taking some shots from Kiely, and just before the bell rings with 5 seconds left Zico Macedo wins by Kimura. What a fight!

Brian Burns vs Charles Weasel

Burns came out swinging as always and took Weasel down, which was a big mistake. Charles Weasel brought his A game and proved he can be a great fighter in the LAFC with this fast paced 1st round submission. That is a great win for Weasel in his Pro debut and he will hope to make his way up the ranks. He definitely has the potential.

Bruce Banger vs Dagul Damulag

Somehow Banger pulls out a win. Dagul Damulag was getting his takedowns and controlling on top for most of the fight. Although he made many submission attempts, none of them landed. If he advanced his position more he would've been open to better submissions. Although Damulag took a loss, he controlled the whole fight and looked like he was capable of the win. A little conditioning and he could go far.

Main Event

Shane Pulver vs Lemmy Kilmiester

Kilmiester strikes again! Literally. In the Main Event we had a round 1 TKO by strikes. Pulver looked strong at the beginning and got an early takedown, but didn't do enough to keep the fight on the ground. Then Lemmy Kilmiester rocked him with a jab after the referee stands them up and made short work of him. After receiving the KO of the night award in his first fight and now another first round KO, Kilmiester is making a big impression in the LAFC

According to our reports:

Nedser Kiely wants a rematch against Zico Macedo. It was looking like Kiely had the match in the bag before Macedo pulled out the Kimura with 5 seconds left! The LAFC 5 crowd loved it and so did I! Therefore, I believe the people will get what they want and so will Kiely. To see these two back in the cage soon.

Leeroy Brown: Hey all you fine cats out there it's bad bad Leeroy Brown the baddest man in the whole damn town coming at you again with another guest and bad man in the MMA world Auric Gallahad. Welcome to show Auric.

Auric Gallahad: Thanks Leeroy.

Leeroy Brown: So you just won your second belt of your career. Tell everyone how it feels and does it feel just as good or better than last time.

Auric Gallahad: You know just as good I'd say. It always feels good to be champion and last time I was champion I wasn't respected much either.

Leeroy Brown: You referring to the accusation by your opponent after the fight that you are using performance enhancers?

Auric Gallahad: Yes I am. Sour grapes man. I dominated the old guy in the first round, and was dominating him in the second before he refused to tap and I had to crack it and have him scream in agony and force the ref to stop the fight.

Leeroy Brown: Well we have respect for you clearly or we wouldn't have you on the show, but what do you think it would take for the MMA community to start to respect you?

Auric Gallahad: You know Leeroy I really don't know. Fans love me but don't really get much respect from my peers. You know other fighters. When I started my career I was 18 years old fighting on the island. I became the youngest champion in Highland history. I almost won the big island tournament. I won the belt at Los Angeles Fighting Championship. I am 21 years old with an 11-2 record with 11 submissions and just got my 7th by kimura. So I'm not sure how much more I can do to get some respect in the sport.

Leeroy Brown: You heard him all you jive turkeys in MMA show my man Auric some respect. What is next for you Auric?

Auric Gallahad: I'm not sure. I would like to just enjoy this win and accomplishment for right now.

Leeroy Brown: Do you think this win makes you the face of LAFC?

Auric Gallahad: I think anytime you are a champion you are the face in some degree. So of course when I fight now they are going to advertise me.

Leeroy Brown: Does that add any additional pressure?

Auric Gallahad: Not really. Being the champion doesn't change what my job is. My job is still to train for opponent and put on a show for the fans. Advertising or being the champ doesn't change that.

Leeroy Brown: Listen up all you cats out there tune in for the next show. The baddest man is signing out.

Auric Gallahad Twitter page: Just signed up for my next fight and 1st title defense of the LAFC belt. It will be against fellow 21 year old James Diamond he is 4-0 with all wins by KO and hasn't been out of the 1st round.

IslandJ: Man I watched you back on the island. You are a beast you got this.

Auric Gallahad: Thanks IslandJ. Yeah it's safe to say I'm not standing in this one.

Eltroubadour: James knocking that a** out.

Auric Gallahad: It could happen.

Eltroubadour: It could and will.

Auric Gallahad: That's nice.

James Harden: Haters gonna gate. Go somewhere else troll. I'll trade you courtside tickets to the Nets game for cageside tickets.

Auric Gallahad: Deal James but I want that autograph.

James Harden: Trade for trade kid. You got it deal.

Sanka Coffee: Feel the rhythm feel the rhyme get on up it's MMA time. Sanka here again interviewing one of my favorites back when I was covering the island Auric Gallahad. Welcome to my MMA show.

Auric Gallahad: Always a pleasure Sanka.

Sanka Coffee: So you have a title defense coming up is that correct?

Auric Gallahad: That is right Sanka.

Sanka Coffee: Tell us a bit about it.

Auric Gallahad: His name is James Diamond he is 21 and is 4-0 with 4KOs with only 1 opponent making it outside 1 minute and no opponent outside the first round.

Sanka Coffee: You're 11-2 now and never lost by KO before right?

Auric Gallahad: This is true but doesn't mean it can't happen. Not taking it lightly he's a dangerous guy. Now I don't think he can stop me from taking him down and I don't think once we are there he could keep me from sinking in a submission but the question is can I get the fight there before being knocked out. That is the question and that is what everyone will be buying tickets and showing up to see.

Sanka Coffee: A little promoting of the fight I like it. What's next for you after this fight?

Auric Gallahad: Well if I win I guess it would be training to fight Bens Jamins or Worf Mogh as they are two fighters in the top of the division with recent wins.

Sanka Coffee: Nice that would be some fun fights to watch. That's all we have time for.

LAFC 17 GALLAHAD vs DIAMOND cage interview:

Slo Moegan: I'm here in the cage with MAIN EVENT WINNER and STILL champion Auric Gallahad. My man tell me how does it feel to have defended your belt successfully?

Auric Gallahad: Everyone give it up to Diamond. Come on we have a big good crowd tonight I want to hear you scream and cheer this man. Alright Slo it feels unbelievable. I mean he is a heavy hitter and we all know I'm grappler first. I mean it was my 12 submission victory.  But I love this belt and i don't plan on giving it up easily.

Slo Moegan: Speaking of easy you finished this fight in the first round. How easy were you expecting this fight to be and how easy was it?

Auric Gallahad: Well Slo honestly I was expecting as soon as this fight went to the ground for that to be it and over so from that aspect of it; it was more difficult than I thought. But I wasn't expecting it to be an easy fight at all. This young man hit hard as f*ck. Sorry about the language. I know that seems weird for me to call him a young man when I'm a year younger than him but he's still young and also young compared in number of fight he was 4-0 coming into this and I was 11-2.

Slo Moegan: I know you are now 12-2 at just 21 years of age that is just insane to think about. How has being so active prepared you for fights and has it made it difficult at all to continue to get better being so active.

Auric Gallahad: You know Slo it definitely has it's advantages and disadvantages I mean I'm always in fight shape because I'm always training for a fight, but grant it I don't seem to take much damage for fights but I don't get to really heal up and just focus on training. So it has stunted my growth some but when I was on the island at Highland it was basically fight or die. That's something a lot of these guys I face don't understand that yeah I came in here with an extensive proven record and notoriety but island life is tough. If you aren't fighting you literally can't afford to train to fight and if you can't train it makes winning harder. It's a real tough life. So it's prepared me and has a lot to do with the fighter I am today always looking for the win.

Slo Moegan: Why don't you look at the screen and walk us through a bit of the fight here.

Auric Gallahad: Sure thing. Ok right here is where the ref motioned to begin and right here is the immediate takedown into side control. Now right here I'm going for an armbar and he reverses it and gets side control. I'm thinking I'm in a bit of trouble because it's not a good spot to be in even though unlike a lot of wrestlers because I am so accomplished in bjj I'm comfortable with being on my back. We train with me working from the bottom a couple times a week. I was then surprised that I was able to easily get into half guard and easily into full guard. I almost felt like I could have bridged and got back on top if I wanted to. I failed a triangle here, and then right here I lock in an attempt for an armbar he's grasping his hands to prevent me from extending and I twist right here breaking his grip and extending. And he immediately tapped preventing an injury. I'm happy about that.

Slo Moegan: Thank you. GIVE IT UP EVERYBODY FOR YOUR CHAMPION AURIC GALLAHAD!!

The fight didn't go my way tonight I knew I was in for a tough night if Auric Gallahad got me to the ground, He's a great champion and one hell of a fighter at 12-2 at such a young age! I'm going to go back to the gym and work hard on my ground game and after a few more flash Ko's I'm sure ill be facing the Champion once again!

Thank you to LAFC and Auric Gallahad for the opportunity!

Seeing as everyone in the 170 Lb division has a fight confirmed or a fight pending apart from one fighter I might as well make a call out! Former champion Robbie Shewmaker lets do this! You're a submission specialist which is my weakness and you've beat one of my team mates already so there's a slight bit of bad blood so what do you say?

Sanka Coffee Podcast:

Sanka Coffee: Again Sanka here with my brudda from de island Auric Gallahad. You are 12-2 now right brudda?

Auric Gallahad: That is correct Sanka.

Sanka Coffee: So you are fighting Easy Ee who is 9-4 with 9 KO's.

Auric Gallahad: That is correct. He's the same age as me which is not only rare to see a fighter about as active as I am with that many fights at our age. All his KO's are super fast too so a true knockout artist. 3 of his 4 losses have come by way of submission though.

Sanka Coffee: Ah so his weakness plays right into your wheelhouse brudda.

Auric Gallahad: Yes it does. I have to get it to the ground first though. I mean I do have some of the slickest submissions in mma to pull it off and some really good wrestling to match it with, but I do have to get past those granite hands of his to pull it off.

Sanka Coffee: You a bit nervous for this one?

Auric Gallahad: I'm always nervous about my fights. You train, you prepare, and then come fight time anything can happen.

Sanka Coffee: You have been rocked a couple times in your career but always manage to hang in there after. Why do you think that is?

Auric Gallahad: Well I think it has to do with I have the heart of a true warrior. If I get hurt that competitive switch inside me flips on and i don't want to lose. So I look for a way to stay in it and win.

Sanka Coffee: So some are saying you are taking the easy road and afraid to have true competition. What do you say to them?

Auric Gallahad: Well I say i was an 18 year old fighter on the island in the biggest org on the island Highland and was  the youngest champion there. After the island I came here to LAFC. I am one of the best 170 pound fighters and they can talk all they want. But instead of calling me out that I am taking an easy road come sign at LAFC and prove it.

Sanka Coffee: Nicely said. Everyone stay tuned.

"seems to be a few heavyweights hiding in this org to protect themselves. To those with fake decent records that have alreasy refused to fight, you better find another org to hide in"

Fat shorty angry, calm down your opponent's combined record is 29-29! Comes to light heavyweight and you get submitted by Zico after losing to Cubbedge.
Unfortunately you will be much smaller league so you go hide 🤣
