MichioKaku
Does sparring a 4 or 5 star diminish the impact of the other participants inthe session. Does sparring with someone better than you leave a negative effect. NO
Guest
Does sparring with someone better than you leave a negative effect. NOI meant does the higher rated sparring partner have negative effect if they spar a lot in a row
MichioKaku
I meant does the higher rated sparring partner have negative effect if they spar a lot in a row on the other people like you asked first? no you didn't say negative effect on who, so i went with the first question. If your asking can you have a vet that's a great sparring partner for your gym just do sparring. That is what i use a guy for. He only does sparring sessions. I think that is what you are trying to get at. Your probably asking about Dom Diego. If he doesn't spar he is going to lose and probably still will with sparing at 39, lose skills but not as fast. A lot in a row, is harder to judge as it has no actual numeric value. But now i see he isn't in your gym so i am not sure where you are going with this. Im going to finish his contract than have him just spar at my gym. Do you have him spar a lot in a row with different partners or like a daily thing. Also does it matterhow many in the session. Sparring is the only thing you want the most training together. the more the merrier so there is no need to spar him 12 times a week since you want the most in one session. Guest
Sparring back to back is not great for your fighters that you are training (diminishing returns), if he is just a spar bot though and not fighting you don't particularly care about his training. There is a much better answer by Duphus in the noob section (probably even if you scroll back a few pages too as it's asked a lot) about 'what's the best number for sparring'. If you want the very best results 5 or more is the short answer but it's worth spending a couple of minutes to find the proper answer if you have time. I hope that helps a little. Sorry I don't have time right now to provide a link.

You have to be in the 25% limit , no more than 25% of the skills of the other, basically mean that a 4 star and 5 star fighters can spar togheter with no worries, you have to worry if you spar with a 3 star , then the 5 star sparring would be shit. Bwang
How does the clinch game work? What physicals effects it? If your a bjj expert can you hits subs in it? Strength is important. You can't sub in the clinch but you can pull guard and sub on the ground.

GiankaBonghi
How does the clinch game work? What physicals effects it? If your a bjj expert can you hits subs in it? Strength Balance Speed in that order for a striker, for a ju jizzle specialist strength and speed, and yes if you look my last fight, i won against a superior fighter on paper, i just allowed him to get in clinch (because i was sure he was going to clinch rape me with his superior striker) and by allowing myself in the clinch, i took him down with a Jiu Jitsu move, i won by armbar sub. 1
shockg
How does the clinch game work? What physicals effects it? If your a bjj expert can you hits subs in it?All physicals help all skills. Strength is strong in clinch. Balance is good to stop the and keep conteol. But everything is synergistic. Skills, primaries, physicals and hiddens. You can't get standing subs but your bjj is super helpful in pulling guard in the clinch. I think that wrestling helps clinch td and bjj helps guard pulls. Hope that helps ya.
