The Vampire and Werewolf are based off of Folklore, I am going to be working on some shirts and shorts using old USSR Propaganda posters.

DYNO-MITE!

Great job. Sorry I didn't notice these right away.

I will certainly send some guys your way.

Really well done.

LONG OVERDUE OPFC NEWS:

* WEEE are the CHAMMMPPIONS, my FRIENDS: It's Drago and Drago! Vladamir Drago [265] and Nikolai Drago [205] became the first ever champions of Oprichnik FC at OPFC: Coronation. They are both 4-0 and on top of their game.

The event scored a monstrous 88 rating -- by far the highest in Russian history.

Congratulations to both champs and to their managers! A tip of the hat to Jiu Jiet Siet and Oleg Aschenbreaker -- keep training for a possible rematch!

* OPFC: Annihilation this weekend will take place at Hiyashi's Lounge -- a 2000 seat arena. We're moving to the big time folks! Hopefully you've noticed that we knocked off CHOWPRAYER to become the #1 fight org in Mother Russia!

Another title fight is in the offing at Annihilation: In the 170 weight class, Edmund Coulson [3-0] will take on Leonid Kryslov [3-0] for the belt. Best of luck to both fighters.

* Rumors abound about a title match between the dominant Enrique Sandoval [4-0] and fiesty upstart Foster Barkley. Barkley has two quality wins with no losses, the only undefeated 145 pounder who will get the shot due to his popularity and the buzz he is creating.

* OPFC: Independence will look to put a belt around either 185er Rick Hart or Natt Hughes. Hart has yet to accept and there is speculation that he may be a free agent soon . . . .

Other fighters to watch:

* In the 155 wt class, Mauna Alanaama [4-1] is guaranteed a title fight. If 2-0 Seppo Taalasmaa wins his upcoming match, it will be a very Finnish title fight.

* In the 205 division, it looks like Drago's first title defense will come against either 3-0 Dominic Harris or possibly relative newcomer 3-0 Riessig Slade.

* As far as super-heavyweights, 3-0 Tom Crackman seems assured of a crack at the belt. 3-1 Jan Streburg is a perfect example of why you don't give up on your fighters, kids. He lost his quick fight and is now 3-0 in OPFC.

I apologize for the minor slack off -- I've been busy and we've had our first nice weather here in many many months.

OPRICHNIK FC NEWS

Wow, a lot has transpired since I last did an update. Again, my apologies. It's been two weeks since I posted one of these, and I'd like to do it every week. Anyway, here goes:

* Edmund Coulson now sits atop the 170 division, with a 4-0 record and a new shiny belt. He beat a game Leonid Kryslov [3-1] to grab the title. As far as who will get the first crack at him? 3-0 Fedor Podrezov is fighting this weekend [vs 2-0 Danny Gump]. If Fedor wins, he's a shoe-in to get the first title show against Edmund. If he loses, it gets a little muddy.

* After all of the hoopla, the much hyped Enrique Sandoval v. Foster Barkley match saw the 145 lb title go to Enrique, the 5-0 BJJ master. OPFC boss Fyodor Romanovich says that negotiations to bring the star back to OPFC are ongoing, but he cannot predict what the eccentric fighter will do.

* In 265+, Jan Streburg brought home the hardware. The fighter [4-1] started 0-1 and never looked back, beating Tom Crackman [3-1] to become the top super-heavyweight. In a major coup, OPFC signed 4-0 Aleksandor Silvaski, the reigning champ at IPC, to a 3 fight deal. Romanovich said he wants Silvaski to get a fight or two under his belt before giving him a title shot here.

* In 185, the quiet and enigmatic Rick Hart [4-0] might come under new management if his manager retires, as he has speculated. He took the belt by tapping out Natt Hughes [3-1] at OPFC: Independence. Quick Fight bully and submission specialist Taj Lewis [4-1] came aboard and began to prove he belongs by subbing Piotr Johannson in his OPFC debut and is one to watch.

In other news:

* Dominic Harris [4-0] takes on Nikolai Drago [3-0] in our first-ever title defense. It goes down this weekend in the 205 lb division.

* Two major fight take place Sunday at OPFC Annihilation 4. First, in a title fight, it's the battle of the Fins: Mauno Alanaama [4-1] v. Seppo Taalasmaa [3-0] for glory in the 155 lb division. Also on the card is a showdown between two 3-0 fighters: Ivan Dostojevskij v. Filthy McNasty for the right to take on reigning 265 champ Vladamir Drago [4-0]. Good heavens, our heavyweight division is stacked, gentlemen.

More to come! Thanks for being part of OPFC!

*#&@

Once again, I just worked for an hour on an OPFC news update, accidentally hit the "backspace" button and erased the whole *#&@*#& thing. I don't have the heart to start over right now.

Sonofabitch.

Maybe tomorrow night.
