  1. ^^^^ That's the end of this discussion. It doesn't matter if there are 3 word stories, 10 word stories, quality, quantity. stop bitching. so what, bjorn spams fighter stories for spin & win credits? who gives a shit. ignore him if you don't like it. so what, some members of Convicted like to poke fun at bjorn, who gives a shit, ignore them. dealing with children 101. sticks and stones can break your bones, but words only hurt people on mma forums.

  3. Its a bit sad when managers like Dinooo, say noone gives a shit about some "average fighter". Well, i'll let them in on something,,, For the manager of that average fighter, he is absolutely important enough for the manager to bother writing a story about him, hence THAT manager cares... besides, wtf does he really know about what other people care for... People area s different as they are many. I love my fighers and have a story in my head about most of them. But, the main/only reason I don't bother writing and posting them, is because of this crap attitude from a small but hard core, of "not so nice people", thinking this game is primarily made for them and everything should revolve around their opinions.... "fuck anyone disagreeing... we'll pussy,, sorry posse the fuck out of them".. I can't write like CK,, noone here can.. and by using him as a "template" of whats acceptable quality,, he would be the only one writing anything.

  4. This aggressive attitude of demanding "your own perception of quality" from others is already harming the forum. Why bother writing something about your brand/fighter/interests etc... when you run the risk of "Extremely tough keyboard warrior managers" attacking you with ridicule, for reasons purely based on their own opinion,,, very often ganging up on one individual.. This posse (pussy?) mentality sickens me,, all tough when the gang is backing them up.. Whats fantastic to one, sucks to someone else and since there are thousands of managers, there will be a great variety of perceived quality. Some people have a great need to control what others do, while some others cant stand any attempts at being controlled. There is an ignore button to use, if the need to control others becomes irresistable. If you don't like it, don't read it. But, in the case of Dinooo and Bjorn, it doesn't really seem to be about bad threads..... more about being butthurt over a missed FA agent and someone getting more spin and wins than others. It's not like the managers writing these perceived "bad quality threads" are doing it with malicious intent.... Not malicious like when grouping up "against one or very few individuals" with the intent of chasing them out of the game..... Bothering to write fighter threads to get spin and win is great and an hell of a lot better than the single word posts in these "game threads", which truly is spin and win whoring.

  5. I see you still choose to make up shit and cannot fathom reading anything over a couple of sentences; some may say that is why you enjoy Bjorns posts so much because anything over two sentences has your mind wondering. I don't care if is a new fighter, a vet, or Jeremy Tonal, if someone was posting the facebook kind of shit in the general discussion forum i would voice my opinion on it. It appears you seem to be more angry at the fact i am voicing my opinion rather than anything else. As i have explained before i live in a country where i am allowed to voice my opinion and if i do then people have the right to criticize it as i have the right to defend it. You however are just making up random points to support your argument which do not hold any merit. I never even started dertailing Bjorn's thread, i wasn't even the second person to take offence to the shit he was posting for spin and win credits. So any of this "you have a personal vendetta against Bjorn" tripe can go out the window. I do have a problem with Bjorn and i have dealt with it. This all came up again because he was double posting the same shit, which is spamming. You seem to think i hold myself and my fighters at a higher regard than everyone elses, I explained if it is original or funny then fire away, post it in the general discussion. If it is this facebook bullshit, fire away post it in the fighter interviews area. As Han's explained great writing pieces are often drowned out by these posts in the general discussion. I don't care what you think of me, i openly admit i am an opinionated cbomb. You seem to be a Stalinist who thinks that anyone who has an opinion should be shot or keep it to themselves. You have been taking personal shots at me, how i think i am a big shot, a child who thinks the world revolves around them. Yet you keep on mentioning my name like a deluded pre-pubescent fan of one direction. On the contrast i quoted what you called me in the original post, you then took everything i said out of context and assumed certain things without knowing all the facts. You slammed GBK for voicing his opinion and he didn't say shit to Bjorn, then supported Marky being a dick to Conor, who is someone i don't have a lot of love for and he likewise. There are a word for people like that; its called being a hypocrite. You say i am the one ranting? You seem to be the one ranting about me, while i voiced my opinion on a topic.

  7. I see that a few guys here are having the same opinion like me and that makes me happy to be honest. Lately I have seen almost nothing but negative posts about fighter threads and it's a bit stupid. 1) To me, it doesn't matter much where the fighter threads need to be. Just make sure everyone knows and those who want to read the fighter threads will read them, no matter where they are. That being said, imagine the General Game Discussion without fighter threads and stuff about the orgs. It would be boring. 2) What annoys me the most , and luckily others as well, is that a few managers think they control how a fighter thread should be made. It must be funny with nothing but long stories. I strongly dissagree with that. Everyone should have the right to create their fighter threads the way they want. If someone likes a more twitter/facebook style of thread, why not, as long as that manager doesn't post like 10 posts per thread per day, but just does an update now and then. I see GBK posting that those threads should only be about big fights and things like that. Makes no sense to me. It's a career thread, not a career highlight thread. 3) People who are pissed when someone gets spin and win credits for a fighter thread that gets updated frequently, perhaps focus your attention at the 'one word story ' type of threads. I think as long as posting the same thing in a fighter thread and the org smack talk happens only frequently, that it's ok. I don't know if you think the same way about this, but have you guys seen any good smack talk threads lately? I mean, no matter what org I sign my fighter to, there are like 3 or 4 managers involved in the org smack talk thread. People are hessitant to post since they know they'll receive a whole bunch of shit for it from a few select managers. I'm not a big fan of spin&wins, since all that someone posts seems to be considered to get easy spins. I think those who like to post on the forum will keep posting on the forum, spins or not.

  8. If you're gonna watch TV, would you rather watch 6 hours of someone shitting in a can, or one hour of quality programming? What is more entertaining? You seem to assume that enforcing more stringent guidelines for what people post in the main subforum would 'kill' it. I don't see it that way at all. If anything, I think it would help the forums (and community) long term by making the front page worth reading and thus making frequenting the foruns more attractive in the first place. Your view of the fighter interview subforum is equally defeatist. If people don't read them and still want to read about fighters eating a full breakfast they'll actually know where to go looking for it. Right now general game is just a 'miscellaneous' section with a fancy name. It's pretty clear that you're not. So far you've done nothing except belittle Conor for having the gall to agree with you. Like, what the fuck? Could you act like any more of a douche? Seeing as you 1) are in a position of relative power over most of us on these forums and 2) tried to start a serious discussion thread about how to moderate said forums you might want to stop talking to people like that. I do find it pretty telling that the same person who came in guns blazing calling some of us bullies, hides behind his position and talks shit to people for no real reason.

  9. So let me get this straight, threads about organisations and fighters hurt your brain and as rjs2442 pointed out more than half the threads in General Game Discussion is either about organisations, fighters or tournaments. What threads do you want to see in the General Game Discussion forum if you don't want to see ones about organisations and fighters? You believe the forums are "horrifyingly dull" but yet your suggestions so far wont make the forums more entertaining or more active by moving these threads to another place in the forums, if anything the General Game Discussion forum will be more dead than it already is. I'm all ears to how we can make the forums more entertaining if you or anyone else has suggestions. Maybe you should stick to those Off-Topic threads which you find fun, you know like the word association one? At least that way, simple threads like that one wont hurt your brain.

  11. Whether you are interested in some "random ass fighter" or not, someone else is. This is a roleplaying game, advocating fighter stories etc... for EVERYONE, not just what suits Dinooo and his buds. The managers of these random ass fighters are what builds this game, not Dinooo in his almighty singularity. Without those upcoming "average random ass fighters", this would be an empty and dead game. There is no denying you were derailing his thread, on purpose. However, your aggression towards Bjorn seems to be of another reason. Regarding CK, in MY opinion (not yours) he is by far the best, although there have been other notables. Again,, this is all about perception and taste.... Your taste and perception isn't worth a any more than somone elses. Most kids think they are the center of the universe and everything revolves around them, but usually they grow out of it. You can talk unwarranted shit about me, no problem, makes no difference to me... just makes you smaller in my eyes. Always regarded you as a standup guy, guess i was wrong there. GBK however, I do have a problem with, despise him actually, but have barely mentioned him for a long time other than yesterday in this context.... Anyway, you carry on ranting Dinooo.

  13. As someone who had one of these threads going for most of last year with Oompa Loompa. I think if they are in the general section then they need to be of a certain standard. There would be a lot of people that don't read any of the other sections, so they lose that role-playing part of the game. At the end of the day who gives a fuck about what gets posted and where.

Does McColgan stand a chance? Will the O go or the streak continue? I know I've probably kept Rocky too long in the ID-restricted circuit. Though the guys he's fought weren't exactly pushovers, he's still seemed like a man against boys for a long time. Maybe I should've made the transition a while back, but anyways, now he's in the big leagues and it's straight to the deep end. Btw, so far I'm 0-3 against Dean. You fucking can crusher

  18. The importance of a fighter, event, or anything for that matter, is a matter of preference and perspective. There shouldn't be a forum quality police who decide what's relevant and what's not - that's just common sense when dealing with something as petty as this, something as trivial as an internet browser game. The reality is, the top 10 P4P has never been more boring, the top 10 managers never more irrelevant, top 10 orgs... companies... the game's "state of well-being" has never been more dull.. I'd rather chime in on bjorn's fighters threads than the typical "clinch is broken" "how to fix ground game" "i quit" "i'm back" "so and so is a dbag" and all the other typical shit that has been there for 5 years. the only time the game has ever been more dull, was 3-5 months ago when I wasn't posting on the forums. now I've returned like a white christ, and with the help of mannetosen and the persistence of bjorn, we've resurrected the forums and this game.

  20. Solid point King. Even if the cop's racist, the main issue is that he's willing to kill someone so easily. You get a lot of "reasons", incompetence, racism, sexism, whatever it may be, but at the end of the day it's murder.
    2 points
  21. This is kinda the point I poorly made before when I was trying to say basically that every time a white cop shoots someone black it is not racism. That is definitely sometimes the case no doubt but this is the kinda shit I was getting at. When the opposite happens people tend to get off point about whether he did it cause he was black or not. Racism serves as a primary motivation sure but the guy did it (like in this case) because he was a piece of shit who should of never been a cop to begin with. That for will always be the bigger issue, shit like this truly disgusts me because it goes against everything the badge is supposed to stand for.

  23. 1. During that full rant i said, did i mention Bjorn's name once? I didn't mention it a single time, it was said in general that these posts about training going well are the most unoriginal shit ever. You say it is about a free agent, which only got said in the end. Despite the fact if you read what i had said it was about him double posting in different threads. 2. Here is the thing that i find weird, for years i followed what was the forum norm and any older player can chime in and tell me if i am wrong. The general discussion area was for some of the best writers in the game to showcase their work on some of the better fighters or orgs in the game. No one can write like CK? There have been plenty of people who can write like CK or better than CK. Barn owned CK in their thread together. Nehi's f-man story was one of the funniest pieces i have ever read. Not once have i mentioned writing like CK, it seems you think that is the quality i expect from everyone? It isn't. I just want something a bit more fucking original than my fighter had a great week training. Is that too difficult to comprehend? If you cannot think of something a bit more original than that then perhaps putting fingers to keys isn't the best thing. 3. You assume and make up a lot of shit. You assumed everyone was out to get you in the of the year award nominations, you blamed a Mod for losing votes. To quote Mike Tycoon "Grasman, you shouldn't be calling anyone a liar on this thread. Given the vitriol I've recieved, I was expecting GBK to have acted out of line in this thread; he hasn't and he has conducted himself in a perfectly reasonable manner. " We never personally attacked Bjorn, we said his writing was shit and unoriginal; which it is. Bjorn gave as good as he got but because he is seen by you as a "lower manager" he needs protection from the big bad wolfs. Grow the fuck up, did we say he couldn't write on the forums? No. Did we say that if he wants to continue they sort of threads it should be in the fighters interview section? Yes. Let me tell you a little secret, if you fucking read what i type then you will eventually grasp at what i am trying to say. I'll quote it for you. " i mean who gives a fuck about some random ass fighter who has apparently had a good time training" "What the fuck is interesting or important about a fighter having an imaginary good week training? It could be Rinky Spider or jobber, no one gives a fuck and it is blatantly used to get spin and win credits. " "Quality fighter threads are dead and instead replaced by Facebook type threads which are being raped for spin and win credits. It is unknown fighters who no one gives a rats ass about." Fed up of unoriginal posts Fed up of unoriginal posts being used to get spin and win credits. Fed up of people using these unoriginal posts to spam for spin and wins. The fact i said it is an unknown fighter is because it is. I also mentioned that Steel created a thread about a fighter who no one knew about, ripped the total and utter cbomb out of me in that exact same thread. Why would i enjoy it? Because it was original and funny even though it took digs at me. Do i care about average run of the mill fighters in this game and their stories? Yeah i do, as long as the stories are interesting to read. You are accusing us of chasing him out the game, while you hound GBK? We never told Bjorn to leave the game, not once. We never implied that he should leave the game, not once. Grasman you talk about how fighters have a lovely little story in your head. You must consume this information, rattle it around in there and come out with more fiction.

  24. I think that putting the fighter stories and the Smack talk together would be a good idea. I don't normally go to the smack talk section because I don't talk trash to people I don't know. But if I was on that section reading a story then I might notice something I want to reply to in the smack talk. It may boost that and most ORGS want their smack talk sections to be used more. I also agree that the better stories are the original ones, that Dinoo JR tread is great, I love reading the back and forth on it, I have even commented on it myself. Super Meat Boy is another good original story. I do sometimes read the facebook type posts on some of the others, but I will be honest and say that I don't enjoy them as much as the good stories. But I don't think they should be dropped if that is what the person wants for their fighter. I still think there should be no rules limiting what a person can put into their fighter story. As I said before it is their fighter and their story, don't read the stuff you don't like.

  27. Seems there are two 'factions' as it were, one for moving them and one against. You can't and never will please anyone. At the moment i really do not understand what the point of the 'fighter interview' section of the forum is for. Isn't that the place for these fighter threads? Why can't you just re-name that sub-forum to something relevant 'Fighter interviews and career threads' and instead of making it a sub forum of fight organizations make it a sub forum of general game discussion. If the people who are generally interested in reading people's fighter stories they know where to go, whereas at the minute people who are not interested in reading them find themselves going on the general game discussion with nothing but fighter stories they do not care about on them. So imo create a new subforum on the general game discussion and move all the fighter stories etc. there.

  28. To be fair, Rowling's work does, in many ways, resemble what we're discussing here. Trite, derivative and written for eight year olds. She's better on the magic, though. Perhaps Bjorn should consider inserting some wands into Dickie "The Dirt" Dirty? Edit: Into the story of Dickie "The Dirt" Dirty.

  29. If your brain hurts from reading stuff from certain individuals, there might be a simple solution for that. How about avoiding their threads? Isn't that a bit more fair, than requesting them to stop writing the way they are doing? Especially since they aren't attacking or hurting anyone.... Oh,, except your brain of course...

  31. Tycooner, I don't understand why people would be upset over being accused that they are being a spin and win whore anyway because lets face it, we all do it. I feel like this thread is trying to fix a problem that is unfixable. One, like you said, no one should ever be restricted in talking about their fighter. In fact, I believe that no one should be restricted in talking about anything, as long as they do it in the right part. The guide for the General Discussion Thread says "Talk about fighters, events, clothing brands - anything you like as long as it is interesting or relatively important. If you want to talk about the UFC, do it in the General MMA forum in the section below." That one sentence that is in bold, is stupid vague. As long as I think it is interesting, or relatively important, no matter if it was copied and pasted or not, then why can't I post it? Who are they or anybody (besides Mike of course) to tell me what I have to say isn't important? Pair that with the fact that the more you post, then the better chances you have to win something that can greatly benefit you in the game and you have the "problem" that people say we have. Personally, idgaf if you call me a spin and win whore because its stating the obvious. Everyone does it. In fact, I think a thread like this was designed in part so that people could be spin and win whores. People just basically wait for a reply so they can reply back with their POV.... Oh wait...

  32. "we're not gonna ban somebody for posting twice in one day. It was just an idea, a rule of thumb to stop people being accused as a spin + win bandit. If they wanna post more, so be it. But don't fucking complain when you get accused This is like a guideline, like I have to abide to workplace guidelines in childcare, I don't have to follow them. But if I choose not to, I don't have a fucking leg to stand on. see now your are talking about to things that are worlds apart guidelines in childcare are a must that not even a option at all posting about your fighters should never be restricted so why not just leave that guideline out.

  33. I like to read the fighter stories when I have time. I agree that I would still read them if they were in a different section. But I disagree with a limited number of posts per day, or putting the same thing in your post and the ORG smack talk. Well as long as it is not every post, but about an upcoming fight or one that just happened should be OK. As far as I am concerned if it is your fighter in your post you should be able to put what you want in it, if you want to only put fight results fine, if you want to put his life story fine, if you want to put if he is a front wiper or back fine. It is your fighter put what you want. The better stories are the ones most people are going to read, if you don't like that persons writing or story line just don't read it. But don't try and ruin it for him. We lose enough people from this game as it is without driving someone away by ruining something they like to do.

  36. In the Eleven Madison Park restaurant in New York sit twelve of the best managers in Tycoon and Crisse looking rather sheepish after his recent tour in Thailand. The discussion around the table turns to the recent discovery of Dean Sutherland Jr. Dean – So did you guys see his most recent fight? Lance – Yes, I was not impressed by his performance. Chris – I heard he has no chin or power; can he really be the son of Tosen? Tosen – Well his confidence is through the roof. Avon – He is definitely the son of Tosen. Hans – Are you still going for custody? Tosen – Yes, even though his hiddens are poor I will make him a success. Tarmo – I see what you mean Avon. A small European man crawls under the legs of the security which consisted of Diggs, Meat Boy and Awesomekiler6969. As Meat Boy picks him up and prepares do devour him, Tosen gives a hand signal and Meat Boy drops him to the floor, walking back to his position looking sad that his master had taken a meal from him. He swiftly picks up a waitress and devours her instead. Small European Man – Hi my name is Bjorn O’Donnell, I am from Belgium and I will become the greatest and most popular manager in tycoon. I want to join Convicted; you guys should let me in now because it might be too late once I become the #1 manager in tycoon. Chris – Who is this dude? Lance – Are you the same guy that left twenty voicemails on my phone? Hans – I have a pending friends request on Facebook followed by 30 messages about some horribly written stories about guys I have never heard of. Tosen – I think I read about them, he seems to have attracted a stable of imaginary serial killers. Avon – There is only one Vatican assassin. Bjorn – Look do you guys want me in or not? A united chorus rings out. The table of men – No. Bjorn – I don’t understand? English is not my first language . Chris – No. Dean – Naw. Avon – Ikke. Hans – Keine. Tosen – Aucun. Crisse – ไม่. Lance – Geen. Tarmo – Ei. Ethan – Ingen. Davy – Nincs. Macho – Hakuna. Tony – Ne. Harry – I think that is a unanimous no. Tosen makes a hand signal, Super Meat Boy promptly picks up Bjorn and throws him across the room. Bjorn – You guys will regret this! Frank King helps his buddy up and asks what is wrong, Bjorn replies saying that Convicted are bullying him. Frank King – Leave Bjorn alone or we will set the dogs of steel empire on you!

Your last opponent Martinez, the champ at that time, has good KO power and isn't that easy to KO. He had only been KO'd once in the past by some Belgian guy. Ooh wait, that was me! You had a decent performance against Martinez, and I must say, KO'ing him in 48seconds was pretty cute. Well, that's to say, that's more than double the time I needed to score my one punch finish (21 seconds into the first round) over him. You can see the replay of my fight here champ if you want to find out how a real beast fights I'm pretty sure our career paths will cross sooner or later and I'm looking forward to that. You are a finisher and I like that. I'm sure fans will be in for a great fight when we step foot into the octagon. Good luck in your first title defense. Not an easy task at all for sure, but I think you can get the job done. Believe it or not, but I'm cheering for you in that fight.

  42. How to avoid posting the same thing twice for a fighter and not being a S&W credit whore? How about upon creating a new fighter thread, you post the original story and some basic informationg in your starting post. You reserve the 2nd post in your thread, and there you can EDIT in the links to every little smack talk you do outside of that thread. That way you can keep a collection of what you do for your specific fighter and it is easy for your 'followers' to see what you been upto by simply checking that specific post. This also prevents anyone from getting any excess spin and win credits by simply copy and pasting. I'd say after every ten links edited into that 2nd post, you can bump the thread if needed to get some attention to your fighter again. That's one solution. The other I have is just making a new sub-forum, or rename the fighter interview section as TheWolf mentioned, and simply turn of the 'post count' in that particular section of the game and you can copy in whatever your litle hearts desire without raking in any credits. Personally I like the first suggestion more as the threads in general discussion are more noticed to begin with - however with proper use of the new/re-named sub-forum it might become a hot spot too where everyone has a look daily. Just my thoughts / suggestion

  43. So, from someone who loves reading a good fighter story/interview I definitely don't have a problem with them being posted in the general game discussion. However, I think copy pasta is ridiculous. If you're worried about being able to post in general game discussion and in the smack talk/org threads then come up with something creative and different for both and keep them separated. Don't post the same stuff for both. For some insane reason, these forums seem to only want quantity over quality. The quality of these forums has dipped tremendously since spin-to-win whoring became popular. So personally the only things I'd like to see are 1. People can post fighter related content in the general discussion 2. No copy pasta, if you want an interview/story/profile/smack talk, use separate and different posts for separate threads.

  46. the company has hit 500 sales 101 out of 278 weeks. companies work like fighters. when a fighter signs you get his record on your current record, when you take over a company you get their accomplishments. doesnt make 100% sense but thats how it works

  47. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14289445908269.jpg Dickie "The Dirt" Dirty I have no clue what has happened the past day or two, because I have been partying all the time after my great win, but for some reason, my page has become one of the most visited pages of the internet. I hope that it was to see how I did, but apparently it's because some 'funny' fanboys are starting a riot. Too bad riot police isn't doing their job, but I guess all types of attention are good for my career. Maybe if I make this update long enough, my fanboys will even like it and not think that it's too mainstream. Let me think, what can I tell you... After the fight , I went to a bar called ' Tooters' or something like that and what I found out was that the girls seem to have pretty nice clothing and racks. The hair of my moustache jumped up by looking at them. Together with my opponent , who I just beat , we partied for hours and hours, until some girl called Misty asked me to join her in her private room for a coke. Hell, nobody can refuse an offer for a free coke, but strangely enough, she didn't want me to drink a coke, but started to unzip my pants. After about 5 minutes, she took of all my clothes and started doing some weird shit with me. I can't complain, as most of it was fun. I might have blacked out a few minutes into it, but aah well, anything can happen after such a night. Yesterday, I woke up in a jet going to NY. I don't know how I got there or who put me on the jet, but hey, once again, no complaints from me. Strange thing was that some Scottish dude was on my jet as well and kept complaining about the fact that I talk a lot. Never heard that complaint before, altough my teacher used to say that, but that's a long time ago. I asked my servant to kick him out , but a few minutes later, he came back on the jet. He found a jet pack and apparently flew straight back into my jet. The same thing happened all over again as he kept repeating his words. I offered him a beverage, but no, he just had to keep talking. I think he supposed that the entire world was listening to him, but I didn't spot any newsreporters on my jet. Want to know the craziest thing ever? I just arrived in NY , took a cab and you can never guess who my driver was... No, not the Scot, luckily, but my good old friend Lewis. He dropped me of home and we talked about the fight and the night I spent in LA. It's about 4 a.m. and I let him out and I go to bed. I have the reputation to snor a lot during my sleep , so my neighbour knew pretty quickly I was home again. He came in to congratulate me and he was surprised to find out that I wasn't alone in bed. I lifted up the sheet and you can never guess who was there... Yes , the Scot had followed me even to my home and jumped in my bed when I was sleeping. He ran away and as he did, he yelled something about a hot tub, and two male friends. Don't have a clue what he was talking about, but that was pretty much what happened. Now that he hopefully is gone for some longer time, I'll be able to get some good sleep again. Good night fanboys and fangirls!

  48. Dinoo does not set sliders himself. He lets Chris Karter and Lance T set them for him.
