  1. EPL Season 9 Week 8 Preview http://i.imgur.com/LQSZCLz.png Grigori Rasputin vs. Akamai Hoi “My monk brew is all I need to win this” - Grigori Rasputin Russia's Grigori Rasputin has been on fire recently: last week he produced what was arguably his finest performance of the season so far as he stopped Ashley Harrington in under three minutes to make it five wins in a row. The bout was ultimately called to a halt due to cuts but that shouldn't detract from the power punching clinic the Mad Monk put on display as he knocked the talented Englishman to the canvas twice over the short duration of the fight. Here he faces Hawaii's Akamai Hoi who is coming off the back of a decision win as he outpointed Curry by using the inside leg kick to great effect. Hoi will be somewhat disappointed not to have walked away with the full two points on offer but fortunately due to results elsewhere still finds himself within touching distance of a playoff spot. The Hawaiian has a fairly favourable schedule over the remaining few weeks so a loss here against the current tournament leader shouldn't be too much of a setback, although I'm sure he'd like to spring an upset if at all possible. Hoi will go into this fight with some niggling injuries but according to our EPL medical experts they are relatively minor and shouldn't hinder him too much here. Rasputin is in good shape thanks to yet another early finish and will be looking for a repeat performance tonight to further solidify his playoff credentials. Yet of all the fights tonight this one looks the most likely to go the distance: Hoi has a solid chin and outstanding durability, as we have already witnessed several times over the course of the EPL season – however, he can have a problem finishing fights: his KO record might suggest otherwise but the truth of the matter is against top level opposition Hoi has sometimes come up short. And it just so happens he is coming up against a top level fighter here – Rasputin is a highly experienced opponent who has previously plied his trade both in Ascension and CEC: I anticipate Hoi is going to struggle to put him away. Furthermore I suspect Rasputin might just have the combination of power and ability to find the finish himself; Hoi has underrated skills in the clinch but not quite on the level of the Russian – Rasputin can easily nullify Hoi's reach advantage by taking the fight inside and the expectation is that is exactly what will happen here. Prediction: Rasputin by KO. Arthur Curry vs. Vladislav Maslow Curry is still in with an outside chance of a late run through to the playoffs but it's all uphill from here. Last week's decision loss against Akamai Hoi was hardly ideal but with a slightly more favourable matchup here he can look to get his campaign back on track. Maslow has not had the greatest of tournaments to date and has already announced his intention to part ways with current manager Mickey Hart come the end of the season. In addition to the drama which has plagued the Maslow camp in recent weeks, he comes into this fight still nursing injuries from the Newmark fight. However, despite these distractions Maslow still likes his chances here – we caught up with him in the arrivals lounge of Los Angeles International Airport: "I should have got a better manager but too late for that now. I am injured and hurt but still dangerous. Hopefully I get to test Curry's glass jaw at least once". Interestingly Curry doesn't seem to think too much of Maslow's chin either: “he has a strong of a chin as my niece... she is 2” and the Irishman took it a step further by questioning the Russian's heart: “I fought tougher guys than him, that's for sure. Heck, I fought women who were tougher than him...” While Curry might not be endearing himself to women's rights groups here in Los Angeles, the MMA world does appreciate a war of words and hopefully tonight's fight will be just as entertaining as the smack talk preceding it. Maslow has often sought to take the fight to the floor in previous EPL matchups but in this instance he might just try to trade with Curry and put his chin to the test. Likewise Curry will be looking for the killer knockout blow: the Irishman can't afford to drop any more points if he wants to keep his playoff hopes alive and anything less than a finish here would be a significant setback. It's true enough that neither opponent has a particularly great chin which makes this matchup especially unpredictable, but in this instance I would wager it will be the knockout power of the Irishman which enables him to triumph. However, don't rule out Maslow's chances – the phrase “anything can happen” is an often repeated cliché in MMA but in this case it rings true: Maslow is more than capable of finishing fights and with Curry's suspect chin it's not the biggest stretch of the imagination to see the Russian walking away victorious. Prediction: Curry by KO. Ashley Harrington vs. Kyle Carlton Harrington's hopes of securing a playoff spot are fading due to his recent accumulation of cuts and he will need to do something drastic to turn around this trend. Fortunately for the Englishman he happens to be coming up against the glass-jawed Carlton: the former P4P #1 is clearly not at his best and it's a wonder he is still standing after the number of early knockouts he has suffered this season. Indeed Harrington predicts that is exactly what will happen here, we spoke with the Englishman on route to the LA Memorial Coliseum and he had this to say: “I'm going to KO him in under 3 minutes.” Brief but to the point, perhaps much like the outcome of this bout. Carlton is going to struggle against a younger opponent in his physical prime and to make matters worse this is a stylistic nightmare of a matchup for the veteran – Harrington is a highly accurate striker likes to work outside the pocket. Moreover he has the composure not to get drawn into a slugfest with the former EVO HW Champ, which surely is the only chance Carlton has of pulling off an upset. Perhaps Carlton might get lucky with a stray punch but it's going to be a tall order indeed – Harrington has both the height advantage and the superior mobility to cause some serious problems for the power-punching Carlton and I just don't see how the veteran is going to break down the Englishman's defence. Harrington to take the two points here and, with another week to heal up from his injuries, straight back into playoff contention. Prediction: Harrington by KO. Bobby Newmark vs. James Bomb Newmark cast aside any doubts following the dramatic defeat he suffered at the hands of Arthur Curry with a one-sided beat down of Vladislav Maslow. So dominant was Newmark that his opponent didn't even have the time to throw a single punch and with just 1:39 on the clock it was game over for Maslow. Newmark will be rubbing his hands with glee at the prospect of facing EPL legend James Bomb who is sadly well past his best. Bomb got big cheers for his stoppage of Kyle Carlton back in Week 5 but aside from that the 41 year old has looked out of sorts against younger opposition and coming up against the former tournament leader tonight you have to question why the bookies are even taking bets on this fight. Newmark has a tough schedule to finish off the season so I strongly suspect he will go searching for the early knockout to ensure he is as fresh as possible for next week's matchup with Mike Tyson. Obviously he can't afford to overlook Bomb (who it must be said still possesses the knockout power of old) but I'm struggling to see how the Finn can hope to put a stop to the American's blistering form. Newmark is 6-1 so far in the EPL and is enjoying a new lease of life as he racks up KO after KO – this will be his fifty seventh MMA appearance but the 36 year old shows no signs of slowing down. Two points tonight followed by a finish over Tyson next week will mathematically secure Newmark a playoff spot and I fully expect him to take advantage of this matchup to maximise the chance of such an outcome playing out. If Bomb can somehow throw a spanner in the works it would go down as one of the most spectacular upsets of the season, but I just don't see that happening – Newmark to find the finish, and find it early. Prediction: Newmark by KO. Gymer Alexandersson vs. Edward McLauglin "I'm glad Kyle Carlton is so easily concussed, it allowed Alexandersson to heal his bloody face in time to make this a fair fight. Still my clinch game is the best in the EPL, Alexandersson will be eating my knees for dinner and his own teeth for dessert." - Edward McLauglin Now that's what I call confidence. This tournament has been McLauglin's first outing against top-tier opposition (a brief stint in MFN not withstanding) and he has performed admirably so far; the New England clinch-fighter currently boasts a 5-2 EPL record and finds himself in the running for a playoff spot with just four weeks to go. Meanwhile Alexandersson has had a mixed performance so far but thanks to his win last week over Kyle Carlton is still in contention for a top four finish, but he really needs to start stringing together some wins if he hopes to do so. Alexandersson will go into this fight with a reach advantage which will serve him well on the outside but McLauglin may well be able to nullify the Swede's reach by taking the fight into the clinch. Alexandersson strongest weapon is his big right hand but it is most effective when working from distance; he has found himself outworked in the clinch before and given McLauglin's natural tendencies I anticipate he will try to keep this fight at range if at all possible. And as McLauglin has indicated, Alexandersson will need to be very cautious of those knees – the American has a range of strikes he can use from within the clinch to keep things unpredictable and truth be told the Swede has yet to face a clinch-fighter of McLauglin's caliber: it's going to be very interesting to see how he copes with McLauglin's work-rate if he does find himself tied up against the cage. That said I don't believe this matchup is quite as straightforward as McLauglin might like to think: Alexandersson is a formidable threat on the outside and with his KO-power he is an opponent to be underestimated at your own risk. I still suspect McLauglin will walk away with the win but this could be a very close fight indeed. Prediction: McLauglin by KO. Ricardo Griezmann vs. Mike Tyson Ricardo Griezmann – ensuring every week of the EPL we have an ample supply of blood. If you haven't been following Season 9 so far, most of the time it's his own blood; and yet again he goes into a bout with serious cut problems which could well ensure another early doctor stoppage. To be honest I'm more surprised that the EPL medical team cleared him for this fight, but nonetheless fight he will... He was able to record a victory over an ageing Bomb last week to take his tournament record to 2-5 but suffice to say he just fighting for pride at this point. Meanwhile Tyson has everything to play for: he finds himself on the cusp of securing a place in the playoffs but knows he will need to put on a strong performance in the four weeks remaining and with a clash with Newmark waiting just around the corner (a matchup which could have serious playoff implications) he will want to walk away from this fight with the maximum points on offer. Luckily for him, Tyson shouldn't have too much of a problem doing that here. Griezmann has a height advantage but that seems to be the only thing going for him here, and so far in the tournament Tyson has shown himself quite capable of dropping taller opponents without a problem. Chances are he won't even need to do that: simply pepper Griezmann with some accurate strikes to the head and watch as the Californian's medical bills continue to go through the roof. Griezmann's only hope of winning this fight is to go straight for the KO blow; however, while that strategy worked against Bomb and Curry, Tyson will be wise to this tactic and can afford to keep his hands high without having to worry too much about potential body shots (which given Tyson's shorter frame Griezmann might have trouble landing anyway). Tyson doesn't have the greatest of chins but I doubt Griezmann will have enough time to properly test it; it won't take much from Tyson to reopen those cuts and when they do you can bet the cage-side doctors will be looking to step in at the earliest possible opportunity. Prediction: Tyson by (T)KO (doctor stoppage)

  6. http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1458197987PCPoster.png Primal bursts onto the scene yet again in New York, when it brings the show to the Liberty Dome once again in a night that will see a welterweight title fight, two top heavyweights square off, and an array of lightweight and welterweight contenders continue to try and make a name for themselves. Main Event Buri Bokh vs Alec Johnson The phenom, Buri "The Wrestler" Bokh returns to the Primal cage for his first title defence against the impressive submission specialist Alec "Jonboy" Johnson. 'The Wrestler' Bokh, the undefeated national wrestling champion in his native home of Mongolia has utilised his skill set to demonstrate a destructive clinch game in his first 7 career fights, locking up with his opponents like a vice grip and rendering them useless with his sheer power and dirty boxing ability. In his last fight, Bokh proved he had the cardio to push the pace in a fight, when he dispatched of the impressive JoJo Monsoon in the third round, the first time he has ever left the first round in a fight. Don't expect too much of a deviation in gameplan when Bokh enters the cage on Saturday night, however if his opponent manages to land the takedown, expect to see a new dimension to Bokh's game. Has he neglected his grappling roots, or will they re-awaken in this fight? Alec Johnson is a New York native who has impressed early in his career, going 5-0 with all five wins coming by way of submission, with his two fights inside the Primal cage ending in the first round to capture his shot at the championship belt. There is no secret to the fact that Johnson does not want this fight to stay on the feet for too long, where he will inevitably be worn down by the dirty boxing and constant chasing of the takedown. If this fight goes to the ground, the ball will entirely be in Johnsons court, his submission game and catch wrestling is slick and efficient, and all he needs is one sniff on the ground to really threaten any man inside the cage. Co-Main Event Obi Congo vs Karl Eriksson Two goliath heavyweights come together for a showdown that isn't expected to last long. Both men are vicious inside the cage and will be gunning for the other man early. Both men are strikers by nature and we don't expect this fight to go to the ground at all. Obi Congo started his career on a tear, starching his first 7 opponents while fighting on the Sydney MMA circuit, however in his eigth career fight, he was put down by Wiremu Williams and it seems his chin suffered, being put out in his Primal debut by top five heavyweight Shawn McLean. The buzz around Congo was fever pitched when he signed with Primal, with a barrage of Sydney fight fans making the trip to New York to witness the popular Congo go down in 38 seconds. His legion of fans will no doubt be back again, this time though hoping to see him bounce back and get back on the winners list. Karl Eriksson enters the Primal cage for the fourth time, coming off two knockout of the night performances in a row on the developmental Fight Night cards, he makes the jump back onto the big show in the co-main event on Saturday night. Eriksson will look to break that suspect chin of Congo, with a significant height advantage, the same head kick that floored Flori Nopolis looms as a big threat in this matchup. A polished kickboxer, who hits like a truck, Eriksson will look to finish this one early, because the power of Congo will loom large in the background if he can't get the finish himself.

  7. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14222907277435.jpg "The Wolf" Michael Brophy Having signed a deal to compete in Primal Combat earlier this month, Michael Brophy requested some time before his first bout to ensure he was ready to compete, signing with Primal before then was just a statement of his intentions for the future. We sent our man on the streets to catch up with the fighter that manager Grant Brophy is calling one of his brightest prospects ever! R: First off Michael, great to catch up with you. You've had two "test" bouts so far, and clearly displayed enough to convince Grant Brophy that you have what it takes to compete in the MMA world. What kind of a fighter do you see yourself as? MB: First off, call me Wolf. Second, I don't even think I showed what I am all about in those fights. Yeah I made two jackasses submit, but I ain't even a grappler bro. When I am in the cage, I am there to knock someone's head clean off their shoulders. I got told to "mix it up" in the first two fights, so I figured why the fuck not take them bitches down and submit them. Now people know I got a ground game in my arsenal, they better watch out for when I start making heads roll. R: Alright Wolf, those are some fairly strong words. You signed to the Light Heavyweight division, which is one of the more stacked in the org with 29 other fighters in the division. Do you see any potentially tricky opponents in there that you might come up against? MB: Yeah I've already noted some of the guys I expect to compete against in order to win the gold in this division. Corey Harper has a great manager, so even though he looks pretty mediocre now, I am expecting him to be a top fighter in the future, and it's pretty much the same case with Malcolm Merlin, although he looks more like a ready made competitor. Don't get me wrong, I know I can beat them on any given day, but they will be feeling the same so it's just a case of making sure I am ready to go toe to toe with them both when the time comes. R: And you don't have any comments to make on any other fighters in the division? MB: They all absolutely suck. Bunch of 25 year olds who are trying this like it's some sort of gimmick. I would love to knock every single one of them out, but let's face it, after you beat a couple of them, you might as well have beaten all of them. I gotta work my way to the title by beating some of these cun...(A producer then notifies Wolf that he is not allowed to use that word due to "regulations")....by beating some of these cans. R: Right ehrm...Your roster mate Ash Brophy also signed for Primal Combat and he will be competing in the 185lbs division. Do you have any comments to make on that, or can you tell us more about Ash? MB: Nope, his business is his business. Only thing I know about him is he likes Pokémon, end of story. R: Let's wrap it up with a bit of fun. Having not competed yet in Primal Combat, but your title intentions being very apparent, can you give us a prediction of how long you feel it will be before you fight for the title? MB: I got 4 fights on this contract I signed. I am expecting to have to use all of those fights to make a name for myself, but I will say my 6th fight I should be competing for the title, bar some catastrophe that prevents it. Heck, if I know fools out all the time it may even come a fight before that, but I will be reserved in my guess and say the 6th fight. R: Thanks for the interview Mich-...I mean Wolf, and we look forward to seeing you in your debut, whenever it is announced.

  8. Instant escape roll should remain, people get up immediately from takedowns all the time, but I think, maybe put some thought into this, there should be (potential for) another immediate TD roll for the grappler as well.

Lumpinee (KT) is still a very young organisation having only held its first event on the 26th of December 2015 and to date has held only 8 events. Mark O'Sullivan took time out of his busy schedule as co-owner of Lumpinee (KT) to share his thoughts. "GAMMA did what? ...You got to be kidding me, they've got like 10 organisations already by Mentors multi's, I mean by some of the members of Legion of Doom. I don't see why they'd want to enter the KT market, there's a limited amount of KT fighters as it is, adding another KT organisation into the mix is going to result in us having to fight even harder to recruit new fighters to our organisation. I guess GAMMA is looking to become #1 organisation in KT because there's no chance of them doing it any time soon for MMA. Hopefully another KT organisation will in turn encourage more young fighters to turn to the world of KT before entering the world of MMA, I guess we'll see in a couple of months time. Who knows, if we're both still going by this time next year, we could potentially see super fights between GAMMA: Muay Thai and Lumpinee (KT). I'm pretty confident the Lumpinee (KT) guys would win!"

  10. Why exactly are we forced to go through a clothing or nutrition company to launder our fighters cash? I know Mike has said from the start he prefers fighter cash to remain with the fighter. Yet he's deliberately set up rules to hinder laundering fighter cash as a compromise of sorts (shop item and max price limits). But what is the purpose in that? I suggest allowing fighter to manager transfers, but at the same transfer rate that is applied for manager to manager transfers. Remove the need for clothing and nutrition stores to launder and let them run as they were intended. This middle man setup serves zero purpose in the game. Either allow the transfer of fighter cash or don't. Simply making it a hassle makes no sense and serves no purpose other than to turn legitimate businesses into laundry businesses. Once the laundry aspect is removed from the companies, other, more beneficial changes might then be able to be put into play for those companies. Such as alternative types of supplements or clothes with a quality rating, etc.

  11. Can we please get rid of it. Flying fighters... No Contest... no matter where the org holds the event, there should be zero reason why the fights can't run regardless of what base city the fighter has. leave cities for gyms. fighter can only train at certain gym if he's in same city. if he wants to train somewhere else, he can fly there. move base and fly there. etc. or keep flying for changing fighter base. but as far as fights go, no reason for NC or energy loss from auto-flight. at least have an option to pay like double the auto-flight fee to neutralize any energy hit they will take. 12. GAMMA: Muay Thai! is the 4th affiliate org of the GAMMA Brand. MMATycoon is a game made for MMA (hence the name) and over the years we have had very few long term Muay Thai / K-1 style orgs which have shown long term stability. We plan to change that with our first endeavor into Muay Thai. The goal of GAMMA is to create the first sustainable Muay Thai organization which goes all the way to Pay Per View level a goal which has never been achieved in this game's history. The org will be a ID restricted org, focused on fighters 287,000 ID with a Boxing or Muay Thai background. We will be recruiting just teenagers (so no late creations). So we plan to build from the ground up. The org will be based in Los Angeles and we will have regular flights from Las Vegas, here is the org link: GAMMA: Muay Thai Based in Los Angeles Leading our push into Muay Thai is: Big Bob (12574) http://www.mmatycoon.com/managerprofilemanager.php?MgrID=12574 A veteran manager which has shown an interest in owning and running a top level org. Backing him in this task will be Andy McKenzie which has extensive experience in the creation of GAMMA Kids NY and further experience in taking our own GAMMA: Contenders to a totally new level. 13. http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1458101663kotb37.png KOTB 37: Cerveja (Preview) Featherweight Alex "Machine Gun" Rivera (1-1-0, 0-1-0 KOTB) vs. "The Kimura King" Tyrone Van Der Berg (3-1-0, 0-1-0 KOTB) The first fight of the night will welcome back two struggling 26 year olds as they both aim to bounce back from recent defeats, and the one that fails to do so could possibly his career in jeopardy. In the red corner we have Alex Rivera, a fairly small fighter for this weight-class and he reportedly only cuts a few pounds in order to make weight. However, his build does not take away from the fact that he is a powerhouse, possessing a tough to crack chin as well as the ability to knock people out stiff. His opponent Tyrone Van Der berg is a very different fighter to how he is, as "Van Der Berg" is complete grappler, with his main strength being his Wrestling. If the fight is kept on the feat, "Machine Gun" has the advantage due to his superb Boxing. However, if the fight see's its way to the floor, "The Kimura King" will have the upper-hand and would likely scramble to find the submission victory. Both of these two men will need the victory in order to pick their careers back up, and a spectacular win could have people talking about them once more. Featherweight Cale "The Doberman" Downes (6-9-0, 0-2-0 KOTB) vs. Monster Machine (1-1-0, 1-1-0 KOTB) Another Featherweight battle is set to take place as the second fight of the night will see the return of Serbian Cale Downs and Rio's own Monster Machine. "The Doberman" is a grappler, and has earned all of his victories by means of submission although he has yet to demonstrate his Brown belt capabilities within the King of the Beach cage. Machine on the other hand is a striker, which his main discipline being Muay Thai although his grappling skills should not be overlooked as he possesses strong Wrestling as well as a Purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It is important for Cale Downes to be the victor this evening as a losing streak of four could prove a devastating bump in (or conclusion to) his MMA career. Machine has slightly less pressure on his shoulders as he saw success in his previous bout where he defeated Marcus Vinicius after going the distance. Both men are incredibly young and could have a long career ahead of them, but for that to come to life they will have to play their cards right. Super-Heavyweight Bruce "The Great" Zimbardo (7-5-0, 5-5-0 KOTB) vs. Mike Kina (2-3-0, 1-3-0 KOTB) The first of four Super-Heavyweights fights will welcome back loyal King of the Beach veteran Bruce Zimbado as he prepares to battle the struggling American, Mike Kina. Since impressing everyone on the company's very first event with a head-kick Knockout, Zimbardo went on to have what could be called a roller-coaster career, having celebrated a number of victories as well as suffering an equal amount of defeats. Unfortunately for Mr. Kina, he has mainly experienced setbacks as he has lost his past two bouts in a row, and his current company record has seen better days as of late. Zimbardo will want to showcase his spectacular Muay Thai abilities when the two clash as he poses the extremely distinct advantages when it comes to the stand-up game. It really is a mystery as to what Mike Kina will want to do for this fight as he has a varied skill-set yet does not appear to be strong in any particular discipline. Unless this fight see's an unlikely upset, I would imagine that "The Great" will earn his sixth company victory, turning his record into a positive one. Middleweight Bruce "The Hoodlum" Lee (4-2-0, 2-2-0 KOTB) vs. Joe Lewis (0-0-0, 0-0-0 KOTB) Up next we will witness the clash of two reincarnated Martial Arts veterans as the Chinese Bruce Lee is set to face off against proud American, Joe Lewis. Hungry to get his name back in the win column after losing two consecutive fights, Lee will aim to use his superb boxing skills as his main weapon this evening. No stranger to a striking exchange is Lewis as his foundations can also be found in Boxing, where he reportedly possesses abilities stronger than his opponent. "The Hoodlum" is known for throwing nothing but wild combinations, which could ultimately lead to his downfall as it is certain that his opponent is well aware of his habit. As Lewis is making his MMA debut it is unclear how he will perform this evening, and all of us at King of the Beach wish him a long and successful career. Light-Heavyweight Dre "Mamba" Adams (3-1-0, 2-1-0 KOTB) vs. Julius "Steel" Bennett (3-2-1, 2-2-0 KOTB) The first and only Light-Heavyweight fight of the night will feature two tough Americans as Dre Adams is scheduled to clash with Julius Bennett. Adams is a Boxer, who likes to keep the fight standing and away from the clinch where he can unload a variety of strikes, to both the head and body of his opponent as well as bundling them into vicious combos. It is worth noting that his power is suspect as he has yet to earn a finish, with all of his victories coming from a Unanimous Decision. Bennett has a very similar skill-set to "Mamba" with his primary discipline being Boxing too, although he is never shy to take the fight to the clinch. Also unlike his opponent, Bennett's punching power has been proven as his record details a number of devastating Knockout wins. On-lookers can expect this fight to remain on the feet where both men will slug it out with neither even thinking of utilising a takedown, as sparks will fly. Like a few fighters before them this evening, these two will need to claw their way back into the win column in order to help write off their recently suffered setbacks. Bantamweight Gabriel FalleN (3-0-0, KOTB DEBUT) vs. Sanalya "Kolmuk" Kashka (2-0-0, KOTB DEBUT) Company management would like too welcome two new additions to our beloved Bantamweight division as Gabriel FalleN and Sanalya Kashka will be stepping into the King of the Beach cage for the very first time - a feeling to remember. FalleN has racked up an impressive streak of Knockout victories in the QFC since bursting into the MMA scene, where he caught the eye of our company's scout. With a similar start to his career, Kashka snagged himself two submission victories using his greater-than-average grappling skills and has yet to face defeat. The heavy hands of Gabriel could prove to be an issue for "Kolmuk" as it has been his main weapon in past bouts, where he has even managed to crack the diamond chin of an opponent because of it. FalleN will want to keep the fight standing where he can showcase his raw power and Boxing prowess. Kashka will want to fight a very different game to the Brazilian Boxer as he will want to drag the fight to the mat where he possesses the advantages, and he can then work towards earning a third submission victory in his short MMA career. A win for either man will be a great start to their journey in our company! Super-Heavyweight Buster "Parrot" Napoleon (4-0-0, KOTB DEBUT) vs. "The Demolition Man" Tyson Dux (5-1-0, KOTB DEBUT) Like the fight scheduled before it, this one will also introduce two fresh faces as undefeated former SFC contender Buster Napoleon will face off against the Canadian terror Tyson Dux. Napoleon has been a name on many people's tongues since signing with the organisation as fans and pundits alike are interested in how he will fair in one of the company's most competitive divisions. Also an exciting prospect is Dux as his first KOTB appearence has been one to look forward to, with people equally as eager to see how he will perform. Although being a fairly well-rounded fighter, Napoleon's strengths lay in his Boxing offence and Wrestling defences, coupled with the extremely tough chin that he possesses. "The Demolition Man"'s nickname rings true as his fantastic striking abilities have been the key to his successes inside of the octagon, with all of his victories coming by means of Knockout. Both men are young and incredibly skilled so it will be interesting to see which one of them manages to play the game right, and end the night with a victory on their company debut. Napoleon is undefeated, and Dux has suffered one loss on his record although it is worth noting that it did come from a doctor stoppage due to a cut, so his chin has yet to fail him. Super-Heavyweight Igor "The Destroyer" Brezlav (4-1-0, 1-0-0 KOTB) vs. Samson Nazirite (6-1-0, 1-0-0 KOTB) Next up, another super-sized brawl is set to take place as the Russian Igor Brezlav meets Isreali Samson Nazirite. Pure grappler, Brezlav has earned all of his career victory by submission which can be credited to his remarkable wrestling, as well as his Purple belt level of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu - successes he will want to recreate again tonight. Nazirite is also no stranger to Wrestling, as he has also sharpened his abilities to a similar level to that of his opponents. However, Samson's advantage will lie in his Muay Thai striking, where his fast punches and nasty kicks have earned him many Knockout victories including one over the aforementioned Mike Kina. So, Brezlav will aim to bring the fight to the mat, and Nazirite will do all he can not to allow this to happen. Styles make fights, and this fight should be an interesting one because of it. Which of these two men is fated to lose for his first time since joining the company? Find out by buying a ticket to King of the Beach 37: Cerveja! Co-Main Event Lightweight Beezow Doo-Doo Zopitty-Bop-Bop-Bop (5-1-0, 5-1-0 KOTB) vs. Janish Jasperdek (3-0-0, 3-0-0 KOTB) The Co-Main Event of the evening will see the return of KOTB regulars, American Muay Thai specialist with the longest name in the company, Beezow Doo-Doo Zopitty-Bop-Bop-Bop and exciting Polish prospect, Janish Jasperdek. Since joining the company and suffering a loss on his very first appearence, Beezow has removed all doubts as he has since impressed everybody with a an incredible win-streak of 5, made up of 3 Knockouts and 2 decisions. His opponent has been just as impressive as Jasperdek has seen nothing but success since signing with the organisation - having submitted all men put in front of him, with a different method for each one including a kneebar victory over TWGC legend Ryo Takajiri. Doo-Doo will aim to keep the fight on the feet where he can use his exceptional Muay Thai to work over his opponent, as he remains far superior in the striking department, and his long and powerful limbs could prove to be a problem for Janish. Jasperdek will have a very different gameplan in mind as he will need to take the fight to the floor using his grappling, where he can use his clearly superior BJJ skills to earn himself yet another submission victory. A win for both of these successful young men could set them up for really big things as the pair are already the rank 2 and 4 fighters in their division, with Bop-Bop-Bop also coming in at #20 on the company's p4p rankings. Main Event Super-Heavyweight Championship Tito "The Warrior" Griffin (7-3-0, 6-1-0 KOTB) vs. Slavko Pakula (6-1-0, KOTB DEBUT) The Main Event of the evening will be one to remember as the reigning, defending, King of the Beach Super-Heavyweight Champion Tito Griffin is set to put everything on the line as he defends his belt against company newcomer and largely successful Slavko Pakula. After successfully defeating the former SHW Champion Sandu Lungu to become Champion, and then yet again in an instant rematch - Griffin is up for his next big challenge as a brand new contender emerges to take a shot at his throne. A Warrior through and through, Griffin should be looking to use his superior Boxing abilities to snag himself another Knockout of the Night bonus, as he displays the very skills that have allowed him to earn a finish in all his seven victories. Although Pakula's Boxing isn't as seasoned as the Champion's, he possesses a slight advantage when it comes to Muay Thai and Wrestling, so we can't help but wonder if they will play a part in his gameplan for this evening. A rock-hard chin as well as heavy hands are two things that Pakula must look out for when the pair come together this evening, and the Champion needs to acknowledge similar strengths in his opponent. Will we see a second title defence for the heaviest Champion on the King of the Beach roster? or an upset that will lead to the crowning of a 5th Super-Heavyweight Champion in the company's history? W. H. O. K. N. O. W. S. Thank you for reading, and good luck with all of your upcoming fights!

  14. IMO as long as natural weight is above or the same as the weight they fight in it's fine. So 155 for example, 156 is ok even though their natural weight they can cut to 145. Take Frankie Edgar, he an probably make 125 if he pushed himself but fights at 145 and was 155 champion. As long as people don't take the piss and weigh 149 for 155 division.

I guess it does surprise me that the fighter under the management of GAMMA supremo and Legion of Doom leader Mentor Corleone is wanting out of his contract to fight on the big cards at Lumpinee (KT). Sucks to see that the best ranked fighter at GAMMA: Muay Thai doesn't even want to be there! 19. Sacketts knock out is the kind of one that if you are reading as either manager in the fight, you either jump out of your chair with a celebratory fist pump or throw your laptop repeatedly against a wall. The last second KO's are always the best, and when you have been getting smoked for four rounds, four minutes and 54 seconds of the fight and land that big KO, meh, not much beats that when it comes to Tycoon.

  20. Sackett's was more impressive considering he was 5 seconds away from losing the fight

You clearly are not observant considering you even own a jet and didn't know it was happening. Your reasoning is presumptuous and retarded. People like you grate on my nerves, as you can see from my response.

  25. Hello and welcome to the first ever MMA Fanzone episode. I’m your host Jack Russell, let’s meet the guests. Joining me for this episode is former All American wrestler and trainer of some of the best fighters in the world, Johnson Schmid! Also one the show is Renato Silvia, one of the most decorated BJJ artists in the world today. This weeks final guest if former MMA legend and patriarch of one of the best up and coming families in MMA today, Knut Ysengrin! Jack Russell Johnson Schmid Renato Silvia Knut Ysengrin On this episode we will be talking about an event hosted by one of the most promising organisations around, GENERATION’s 11th event. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1456239075poster%204.gif Jack Russell: Let’s start with the main event, it features Gabriel "Hammerhead" Dahl vs. Iosue Nicu at 205lbs. Dahl was part of the Island season 4, where he finished as Solitude LHW champion but was defeated in round 2 of the tournament. Since leaving the Island he has gone 0-3, with his 3 opponents in those fights being much younger prospects. Nicu himself is a highly entertaining prospect with a 10-1 record and 8 (T)KO’s to his name. Johnson, what are your thoughts on how this fight will play out? Johnson Schmid: Dahl is an old warhorse, he doesn’t really specialise in any area. However he is deadly on the mat with those submissions. I imagine Renato is salivating at the thought of seeing him on the ground, but in my opinion he doesn’t have great offensive wrestling to get fights on the mat. He relies on catching opponents off guard and dragging fights to the ground from the clinch, but he is fighting one of these super beasts in Nicu. Nicu’s striking is fantastic, we haven’t seen him tested on the mat but Nicu should get the job done with ease, it looks like Dahl is fighting for the paycheck and being thrown to a wolf. Renato Silvia: Now now, I wouldn’t be so sure in that outcome Mr. America. Grappling is still one of the most under-rated aspects of MMA, as you said Nicu has never been tested there, if Dahl can get this to the clinch he can use some of that old man strength to muscle around the younger fighter and lock up a submission once he takes it to the floor. JR: Looks like you two are split on your opinions, Knut as a former fighter with high level experience, who do you see winning? Knut Ysengrin: Both are right, both are too stubborn to admit they can see the other man winning. Personally, Nicu seems to have the bigger upside in his career but that doesn’t mean he will win. However it does look like Nicu is being thrown a bone to play around with in Dahl. Nicu takes this 9 times out of 10. JR: There we have it, 2 votes in favour of 1 for Nicu to take the fight. Next up we have a title fight in the 205lbs division. Jake Blake vs. "Führer" King Bradley. Blake stands at an impressive 7-0 in his young MMA career with all wins coming via (T)KO. Bradley lost in his MMA debut, but since then he has posted 6 straight wins, showcasing an impressive stand up skill set. Now Renato, I know before the show you were very high on Jake Blake’s skills and believed he would be a future star. RS: Oh man, what’s not to love about this guy? He has power for days, he may punch harder than most people at 205. No one can take his punches for too long. The few times he has been taken down he has shown off his BJJ, countering positions perfectly. JS: You would be taking the Brazilian to win a fight. I don’t think you’ve ever picked against one. RS: Man, shut your trap. Brazilians have dominated MMA for a long time now and will continue to do so. We are born fighters. *Jack Russell gestures for Johnson Schmid not to start a fight on the first episode of his new show – Schmid grunts and let’s Renato carry on* RS: I admit I haven’t seen Bradley fight, but whoever he is Blake will smack him around before KOing him. JS: Bradley has shown a smart approach in his fighting style, I can’t recall him ever losing a round before. He may not pack the punching power his opponent does, he knows this so he prefers to stick and move, stick and move. Usually his opponents exhaust themselves and that’s when he goes for the finish. That said, the whole time this remains standing he is playing Blake’s game. Unless he suddenly developed offensive wrestling and neutralises Blake’s power, I don’t see him taking this fight. KY: You are both vastly underestimating Bradley. He trains with some of the best fighters in the world, I even sparred with him a few times. The kid is eager and he has fight for days in him. He is a thinker in the cage, he can take Blake to deep waters where he has never been before and grind out this win. JR: Renato and Johnson actually agree on something? That’s a first! *Awkward laughter* Up next we have Scott Hall "Monitor" vs. Suklaa Muna. Hall challenged for GENERATIONS’s title 2 fights ago, in a fight where he admitted he took too soon he was out-grappled and eventually submitted. Outside of that fight he has dominated his opponents, with 3 TKO’s, Muna has displayed his boxing and power in all of his 7 fights, even in his two losses. Now, Knut, I know you know Hall quite well. You’ve seen all of his fights, how difficult a challenge is Muna for him? KY: Hall is a terror once he gets in that clinch, he is like a dog on a bone and will not let go until the ref pulls him off. Muna is a unique challenge for him, Hall has never faced someone quite so powerful as Muna nor has he fought someone with the boxing skills. Hall has shown good adaptability before, I think he will grind on Muna and drain his energy for the win. JS: Hall is a reverse wrestler, he was a great wrestler when he was young and you can see it in the way he fights. Like so many other wrestlers he has fallen in love with striking and his power, so sadly we don’t get to see much offense from him. The way he engages in clinches and controls once he is in there is typical wrestling manoeuvres and I doubt a boxer like Muna will be able to hold him off for long, unless he runs away like a pussy the whole fight in which case he is a loser anyway. RS: Man, MMA is about winning you know? Running won’t make him any fans but it will prolong his career so he doesn’t take too much damage. JS: You know what else will prolong careers? TRT, didn’t quite work out well for you though did it? *Jack Russell once again defuses the situation with a quick gesture* RS: Let me continue, Muna can fight smart and pick his shots. He can win this fight, he has the better stand up and Hall won’t be able to hug him all fight, he will get hit eventually. JR: Next up we have a HW contest, Marv "Hopper" Miller vs. The Uppertaker. Neither have found much success in MMA as Miller has gone 1-1 whilst Uppertaker is 6-5. Both like wrestling unlike many other HW’s, Johnson, as a former HW national wrestler how do you see this fight going? JS: Well Jack, Miller showed great heart and determination his win, he got knocked down and was badly hurt before he scored a knockdown of his own and once he was in top positon he held it perfectly and started raining down bombs. Uppertaker is also very good on top, but he doesn’t have the brute strength Miller does, Miller should be able to power out of most situations and once on top he will end this. JR: Moving on to the opening fight on the main card, Ryo "Ruthless" Rossi vs. Maxx Decker. Two more HW grapplers meet up, a classic wrestling vs. BJJ fight. Rossi has great submissions particularly from his guard. Whilst Decker has shown powerful boxing with heavy fists once he gets on top of you. Renato, who takes this? RS: Rossi. Decker can KO him on the feet, but my feeling is he will be too proud like most American wrestlers, he will take Rossi down to prove a point. Once he is on top Rossi will lock him up and score the submission. I’ve heard great things about Rossi from his BJJ coaches, trained by some top Brazilians who know how to transition it to MMA. JR: OK, that’s about all we have time for on this edition. Before we go, let’s get your quick picks for the opening bouts. Ronald "Boxdweller" McCoy vs. Adam "The Beast" Bastien – 145lbs JS: McCoy has more skills to win this, he will take it. RS: McCoy. KY: McCoy, has the better boxing, coming in off a good win. Troy "Golden Gloves" Alexander vs. Scott Adams – 170lbs JS: Alexander, better boxing, more power. Adams can’t take a punch. RS: Alexander, he has slick boxing skill. KY: Alexander. Sancho Brumbleroot vs. Dirk NoItsHe – 265lbs JS: Both are pretty awful, but Brumbleroot should be able to keep it on the feet long enough to turn the lights out. RS: NoltsHe. His ju jitsu is great, he will wrap up a limb in the first round. KY: Brumbleroot. Gunnar "Icelandic" Nelson vs. Joko "Memang" Lelono – 170lbs JS: Lelono. He may not have a good chin but Nelson doesn’t have the striking to bother him. RS: Nelson, he will be able to outgrapple for a decision. KY: Lelono. Braulio "Bang" Escobar vs. Clifton Von Lee – 205lbs JS: Von Lee. He has wrestling for days, he seems to have tightened up his submissions defence. RS: Von Lee, Escobar won’t be able to hold him off. KY: Escobar, I don’t think Von Lee has in in him to be a fighter, 0-3. Not too promising. Jack Russell: Thank you for watching, it’s been a pleasure. Big thank you to our guests, and it was great having you on Knut. If you wish to be on a future show, get in touch. We hope to bring you more episodes in the future providing we have sufficient backing.

  28. Not sure about top, but you could stand up before we had escapes. I'm not 100% on this but pretty sure: You have to trans out of mount or back mount to get an escape, pretty sure mike said somewhere you can't escape from those 2 positions. I know it does add some confusion to some fight text where it says: "fighter A has escaped and has taken fighter B's back" but that happened to me and my fighter has no escapes (useless--) and has done that a couple times, so that does confirm when that text shows it's a transition not an escape (I think that is old text from before escapes where added). So in short, you still should have some trans to get out of bad positions so you can use escapes or just to get another way to get out of a bad position.

  30. I usually try to give my stand up fighters the ability to protect themselves if they do end up on the ground. So I try to invest in transitions and definitely defensive grappling. They might not be able to attack on the ground, but at least they can survive and move around!

  32. Imagine that Steel Penn created another thread begging for people to call him the GOAT Tycooner and yet again puts all his BS stipulations on it. I'm the GOAT Tycooner who was an active multi between the dates of Jan 5th 2009 and Mar 15th 2013, who also happens to be a Steelers fan, donates more money here than I do to any actual charities that could legit use the funds (all in an attempt to sway people I'll never meet to like me more), and let's not forget about my super impressive manager record....oh wait never mind please forget that. Get the fuck outta here with this shit. Also Mentor, you can't even sell yourself your dirt brand cock cream since you know it didn't work to increase that micro-penis you have between your thighs, how do you expect the vast intellect of the Tycooniverse to ever label you anything but a hack wanna-be? And I'm talking about here and in your real life. Never falling outta the 1% HA! you're a fucking joke of a human. And thanks to the fellas who tossed my name out there as potentially being one of the top guys, I did have some success when I was more into the game but it was always done with a good group of guys. You know actual other people, not the voices in my head that I created multi accounts for.

  35. People could be allowed to run a private gym and a public gym. Private gyms are essential to reach the top, so all serious players have one. They cost a reasonable amount of money so force you to do some level of game play to keep on top of it. Earning money doing in game work, laundering your fighters' winnings, signing fa's with money, winning cash on the spin and win machine, finding sponsorships for your fighters, etc. Private gyms are so commonplace that they shouldn't count as a business slot. I'd like to run a second business, without finding someone to hold my gym.

  37. As a new player that is not part of an alliance, I agree with looking at gyms with fresh eyes, there is definitely a problem, particularly for new players. I started in Las Vegas. My fighters started with $500. In order to get decent training, I literally had to 'buy' a foreclosed gym that already had money in the account and several inactive fighters whose managers had gone inactive and were still members paying weekly. So I'm basically draining their money to train my own fighters, but even still, I can only fund one 120 skill fitness coach. Many of the public gyms in my area are full or nearly full. Is training in a private gym for $1000/wk really the intended way of playing the game for new players? How? I'm trying to understand how I'm supposed to be playing, but I feel like at the moment, I'm having to scrape by to survive. I got lucky finding the gym with money in the account, but I'm starting to wonder what my next move should be. EDIT: It seems like there are no reasonably priced mid-level gyms. Gyms for people who have less than 6-10 in a skill without a lot of money. But it seems like a large part of the game is made up of long time vets with tons of money. So you either have Cozad's, or $1000/wk gyms and that's it, nothing in between.
    1 point
  38. That doesn't make his point less valid. The suggestion of a cut from fighter pay simply worsen the problem, it doesn't go towards solving it. If you think about it, IRL, every gym is a private gym. Sure, you can join, but you are simply not joining the elite gym right off the bat. You can get private sessions if you have money, but you are not part of the team, you don't spar with the Jackson/Wink team by doing private sessions. The gym fees are not adjusted to inflation of the game. That's one issue. Owning a public gym is just not profitable, unless you cram in 70+ people in a skill capped coach gym.. then people leave, because it sucks. I don't think the coach fees are the only issue, the skill cap also doesn't help. I don't have a solution on top of my head, but simply stating why public gyms suck : it's not worth owning one. Why I think should be more realistic with real life is have public gyms as they are, but change the way sparring works : you can keep the regular sparring sessions, but have alternative "pro" sparring and training sessions (say at night) for those part of the pro team. To be part of the pro team, you would need some kind of factors, like record, number of fights, vs what kind of competition, etc. Those pro sessions would allow better sparring, and less fighters per training sessions. Eventually, you could have various levels of pro teams, depending on what the gym owners want to have as the floor. Being part of the pro team would entail additional costs for fighters, and gym owners can have a proper gym that is public and that provides actual good training sessions to fighters that need it. Instead of having a cut from fighter pay, public gyms could get a higher rating from having the pro team as a whole perform well. Since the owners can't decide who to keep in or out (or give him some discretion, but to a limit), there won't be abuse. Higher ratings could mean some kind of rewards, like lowered equipment costs (sponsors), or maybe a higher cap for weekly fees, just throwing ideas here. Finally, this final idea has too many implication to probably be considered, but higher ratings could give a boost in training or sparring sessions for the pro team? It's a self-feeding loop, but that's a bit how it works in real life no? The whole idea above should only be for public gyms : private gyms would stay the same, would not be rated, would not get any of above. That would force a lot of private gyms to go back public, especially if the last idea is implemented. From there, it would be up to them to decide if it's worth staying private or not. It at least gives a balance back to public gyms. For new managers, it sucks to have no public gyms. I would quit if I saw the number of public gyms available.. just look in Montreal, there are 2 public gyms and they are horrible.

  39. Mickey Hart looks a dejected figure waiting outside of Steel Penn's office in Hilo. Currently in the office is his boss Steel Penn and disgruntled manager Dean Sutherland with his fighter Giacomo Benvenuti. While the reinforced steel door blocks out most of the noise, every now and then you can hear Steel Penn's shout "he did fuckin what". Mickey has a quick glance at his phone and thinks to himself that the guy better show up here soon. The securities phone buzzes and Mickey Hart is led into the office. Sitting in his chair is Steel Penn with Dean Sutherland sitting across from him, Giacomo is standing next to the wall, looking menacing as ever and shoots a growl at Mickey as he enters the room. Mickey reaches over and grabs a seat and proceeds to sit down. Steel Penn - Don't you fucking dare touch that seat. Mickey puts the seat back and stands at attention only moving his hand to wipe the sweat from his brow, it was clear that Steel Penn was not pissing about. Steel Penn - You don't have a fuckin clue on how to do anything do you Micky? Mickey opens his mouth to speak Steel Penn - That was a rhetorical question Micky. Mickey looks around the room wondering where the hell the dictionary is. Dean - Jesus, this cbomb really is clueless. Steel Penn - So Mickey, do you want to explain why we are in this situation today. Mickey - Well, I offered him fights but other guys rejected, then I offered him fights against guys who were ranked really shitty and he got mad at me. Steel Penn looks across at Dean who nods silently. Giacomo has not taken his eyes off of Mickey since he entered the room. Mickey - So now I found him an opponent. Mickey walks over to the door and opens it. In the doorway stands a fifteen year old boy called Bjorn with his latest free agent wonder RP Murphy. Mickey - Ta Da... Giacomo - Who the fuck is that? Dean - I'd like to ask the same question, who the fuck is that? Mickey - This is Bjorn, we know you two do not like each other and... Dean - I do not give a fuck about the little Belgian princess. Who the fuck is the fighter? Where is he ranked? Mickey - Well he is outside the top 1000... Steel Penn stands up and bangs both fists against the table. Steel Penn - You are in here for offering him shit fighters, and NOW YOU FUCKING BRING IN ANOTHER SHIT FIGHTER! Bjorn - Yes but I... Steel Penn - Shut the fuck up and get out of my office, I have already fired you once for losing me millions. Bjorn - Pussy, duck... Giacomo moves off the wall and Bjorn and his fighter quickly run out of the office. Dean - Look Steel, here is half the signing bonus back. Giacomo picks up the briefcase and throws it over to Steel Penn. Dean - Nothing personal, it is just this guy over there is a complete and utter idiot. Dean and Steel Penn shake hands and Dean turns around with Giacomo and leaves the room. Steel Penn - You have lost me the highest hyped/popped fighter in my company, you have completely messed up my business and you have a single digit IQ. Steel Penn raises once again from his chair and points his finger at Mickey. Steel Penn - You'reeeee FIREDDDD! Mickey turns around as the door swings open and Giacomo super kicks him to the face sending him flying over Steel Penn's desk. Security pick him up and throw him on to the sidewalk. A few minutes later Mickey Hart starts to wake up with no recollection of what just happened. That must have been a hellova drinking session, he thinks to himself. Bjorn appears out of a side street calling him over. Bjorn - So am I getting to fight him, please tell me I get to fight him, I really want to fight him, I need to fight him. Mickey - I'll ask him just now. Mickey Hart dials in Dean's number into his mobile and the auto-message replies back to him "the number you have dialed is no longer in service, please try again". One week later, Bjorn has fired RP Murphy after losing one fight with him and is now hunting through the free agency market looking to pick up his next one hit wonder. Mickey Hart is still unemployed and only recently found out he got fired from his job. Dean and Steel Penn are still on decent terms with Sutter Cane, another Sutherland fighter picking up a victory in the most recent card at SPFT.

  40. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14401675127652.jpg Igor "Under The Umbrella" Quincy (4-4) Growing up in Helsinki, people might think you live a simple life, that you have no problems in a country that seems so stable from a foreign view. The reality is much different. For one man, his life until recently was a struggle as he simply fought to survive each day. He knew nothing of a loving home, of having caring parents, or of having things in life fall kindly for him. This man is Igor Quincy. But before we can get to Igor, we have to take a look back at what led to his circumstances, which brings us to his brother - Ryker Quincy. Ryker was always an outsider in Helsinki, with his love of heavy metal and motorbikes seeing him fall in with a local gang who called themselves The Nomads based on their movement throughout Europe. He would end up causing trouble in the local area, and his parents were worried that this behaviour would be a bad influence on Igor Quincy, and they couldn’t be more right. Igor idolised Ryker, with Ryker’s ability to beat people in a fight cause him to push his parent’s for a membership at a local MMA gym, but they refused. This caused the first fractures in Igor’s relationship with his parents, while simultaneously causing them to distance themselves from Ryker’s behaviour. This came to a head one night when Ryker and a small group from The Nomads raided a bar in Turku, a city to the west of Helsinki in their ongoing feud with a rival gang. Ryker was identified during the raid, and the very next night, the rival gang retaliated by launching petrol bombs at the Quincy house, causing serious damage to the property, but that was the last of the issues. One of the objects was thrown through Ryker’s parent’s window, and the result was severe burns to his mother. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, with their father by her side. Ryker had already packed his things by the time they got back a few days later, and said he would be leaving. His father never said a word to him, he simply brought his mother to their room. Ryker turned to Igor, stressing the importance of not getting involved in a gang like he did, and he left. Igor was torn at this point, as he swore revenge on those who caused the damage not just to his mother and the property, but to their family as a whole. He had taken Ryker’s phone previously and found the text saying the address of the bar that they had raided, and while his parents slept, he hitched a ride with a friend to Turku for what he claimed would be a “crazy night out”. Upon arriving, they located the bar and he told his friend to wait a minute, reaching in his bag and grabbing a canister of petrol and a box of matches. His friend tried to stop him, but Igor knocked him out. Nothing would get in his way, not tonight. He covered the exterior of the building in the petrol, including the gangs bikes which were parked outside, before walking in the entrance and throwing the canister across the room. He lit a match and set fire to the place, before leaving in the car, with his friend knocked out in the backseat. He got back to the house still early in the morning, but found his dad waiting for him. The smell of petrol was evident, and his dad already knew what had happened, with the fire report coming on the radio just 30 mins prior. He told Igor he had an hour to pack his things, as Ryker was coming to pick him up. Igor tried to plead with his dad, telling him why he did it, but his dad simply shook his head and said he couldn’t deal with what he went through with Ryker..Not again. Ryker picked up Igor, and took him to his apartment, which was barely big enough for one person, never mind two. Ryker said he could stay on the couch, but they only had two weeks to get the money to stay there. Igor ended up accompanying Ryker to his gang meetings, and they would take part in petty crimes in order to earn enough to keep their heads afloat, but one day that would all change. The Nomads were planning a big raid on an armoured security van that they believed would contain enough money to make each member incredibly wealthy, at least by their standards. They had 5 men in the operation, Ryker among their numbers, while Igor was left out due to his young age and inexperience with the big level heists. When the time came for the operation, 2 of the gang members bottled it, leaving Ryker and two others. As the van came to a stop at a set of traffic lights, the men moved in, with the other two threatening the driver and his partner with guns, while they forced them to hand the keys over to Ryker to the back. Ryker opened the back, and gasped at the sight. Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, were in the bank of the van, conveniently in packaging already to be delivered. Ryker grabbed one of the packages and bought it to their getaway vehicle while the others kept the men occupied. As he went back for a second however, he heard a yelp and moved to the front only to find one of his partners out cold on the floor, and the other currently struggling with the driver. The driver’s partner spotted Ryker, and immediately charged for him, but Ryker was an experienced grappler, and with the man driving him to the floor, locked in a guillotine and choked him out. Finding his other partner still struggling, he ran over and locked the other man in a Rear Naked Choke, rendering him unconscious also. He dragged his partner to his feet, but they could hear the police sirens already, and they immediately made their getaway with the package of cash. As they drove along, they spotted a roadblock up ahead, and before they could realise, they found themselves hitting a spike strip, and their vehicle became useless. Realising he wouldn’t be able to get away with the cash, Ryker ditched his car and his injured partner and ran for his life back to his apartment. He found Igor back at the apartment, and Igor immediately sensed the disappointment. “We’re fucked” is all Ryker could say, as he slumped into his room, but fate would have something different in store that day. A knock on the door the following day was met with suspicion from the brothers, with Ryker looking through the peephole to see a man he didn’t recognise. “Is this where I can find Ryker Quincy?” the man said, a foreign accent coming across heavily. “Who’s asking?” Ryker replied, with the man announcing himself as Liam Davidson, an MMA promoter and manager. Ryker was suspicious, but had his interest piqued at MMA. Liam came in and explained he saw CCTV footage of Ryker the day before choking out two security guards and said he was highly impressed. He offered Ryker the chance to compete in MMA, away from Helsinki, and with guaranteed cash in his pocket. The kicker in the deal however, was Ryker would have to leave Igor in Helsinki, at least for now. With encouragement from Igor, Ryker accepted his offer, but promised he would help Igor to get out of the city also. Fast forward to four years ago (one year irl) and Ryker was making waves in MMA, maintaining a 5-1 record and capturing the sfc title to become a champion. During this time, he had sent money back to Igor, helping him reach his wish of training in an MMA gym, and Igor was just about ready to make his own debut in MMA, having signed also with Liam Davidson upon the advice of Ryker. Igor earned his nickname of “Under The Umbrella” when he got picked up by Ryker and Liam, as he was ridiculed for keeping himself out of the rain with a blue and white umbrella. He made his debut on the 30th January 2015 at 18 years of age in an Alliance battle between Vendetta and LOD, who had a colourful history with each other. Igor made a winning start, defeating his opponent Taylor Barker via Unanimous Decision. He started to get complacent however, with his confidence in his natural abilities seeing him take his next opponent less serious, losing via KO in the first round to Third Fist. From this point, Ryker started to focus more on Igor’s career, which is notable for being when Ryker started to slide in his own MMA career, losing his next 4 fights in a row before retiring. Igor would be focussed in future however, showing his diversity in his next two fights as he picked up a Submission victory in the first round against Grimmjow Jeagerjaques, before showing his devastating KO power with a Head Kick finish in the first round against BO Sorenson. But he would suffer from complacency again however, losing back to back fights against Daniel Judah and Ulrik Meyer, but he would show resilience as they couldn’t find a way to finish him as he lost via Decision both times. He would return with a bang however, knocking out another highly rated prospect, O Shea Jackson, via KO in the second round in a fight where he really showed his maturity, surviving O Shea’s early onslaught before launching bombs in the second round to win the fight. The next fight would be a complete change in styles however, as he faced Smash Williams who has only made his debut the fight prior, and with Igor having very little to go on from his opponent, found himself on the receiving end of a Unanimous Decision loss. Despite this however, the future is very bright for Igor, and he has recently been announced as competing in the next season of the ITFL as part of Team Vendetta, which will see him move from his current weight class of 185 (Middleweight) up to 205 (Light Heavyweight). Only time will show if Igor will be a future top talent or not, but the ITFL gives him the chance to show off his skills, and if his confidence in himself is as good as his ability, he will be a fighter to watch in the tournament. He will be hoping he can find success in MMA to prove to his parents he is a changed person, and that he has come a long way from the kid who idolised gang related violence and crime.

  41. Allow us to transfer money from fighter to manager with a 10% tax. Take all profits from this 10% tax and create a Tycoon Bank that can sell game cash to managers for real money. Doing this allows us to get fighters money with no laundry and makes Mike real money in turn helping the game grow. Do it.

  42. Overall Grade: D (67/100) Graphics are great. Has it's entertaining moments, but if you were on the fence about getting it... I highly suggest that you don't. It sucks. The fighting is super-arcade-ish. The transitions on the ground are cool but the rest of the game is pretty shitty. Once again EA focuses on "The Ultimate Team" aka the shit kids pay a bunch of money to get extra fantasy points to spend on stuff. Career mode is shitty. Interface is degraded. There's random event pop ups during loading that are cheap and lazy. The finishes aren't near the level of EA MMA. They're very robotic. The ground game (ground and pound) is piss poor and unrealistic. Just spam punches from side control and your opponent just lets you beat on their face and regardless of your energy level and the opponent, they get KO'd unconscious from weak hammer fist from side control, even if your fighter isn't a wrestler or has any GNP skill. The training system is more convenient. Simple. So that's good. So far, everything else seems like a cheap EA slap-together. There's a reason they didn't release a demo because the fighting is piss poor. The movement is fake and arcade-ish. You can't stay stationary and sway away from strikes. Another very lazy performance by EA. Oh, and the reebok fighter kits suck as bad in the game as they do in real life.

  46. I think the game's pace is fine as it is, and I'd hope that if Mike were to change it, that the change would be nominal. My best advice for people wanting to redo their rosters: pay closer attention to your fighters and get rid of the bums a few at a time. It beats the hell out of forcing the issue and having to mass sack an entire stable of mediocre overachievers.
