  8. I'm planning a KT org for next season. I'm going to be creating 16yo fighters for it, but the idea is to get others to create more 18yo fighters that might actually stay around after the season. Maybe the org does too, maybe not. You can have your young KT fighter completely ignore all BJJ stats while getting in tonnes of training on The Island, or just do one BJJ sparring session a week and slowly build up those skills over the season to get the kid ready for an MMA career later. As always, I'll keep it 100: I'm not super active, and I'm not particularly interested in doing the writing parts of running an org. I'll be very available and active until the end of September, then I'll have days where I don't do anything on here because of school. I'm one of the easiest managers to work with, and I'm generally pretty easy to work with as an org runner; my entire goal is to make things fun. If fun for you is keeping your fighter busy, I'll make that happen; if fun for you is climbing the ranks, I'll put you in position to do so; if you're chasing belts, I'll work with you; if fun for you is getting paid bank, I'll tell you how to get me to pry open the coffers--maybe. If you're interested, save a slot; season starts in two weeks. Given how little interest there was in HighlandKT last season, probably only looking at 205/265/265+. I would love to have a full-range roster (135-265+), but that might be a pipe dream. (c: edit: The divisions will be 265+/205/170/145 at the start of the season. Safe to assume expansion to 265 at some point. The rest... eh...

  9. As the title says... Is it possible to get the fighter bio max character increased? At the moment it's at 500. I would like to see this increased to maybe 750. I think it would help in the role playing scenerio to build more of a background with the fighter. Just a thought, Grimm.

  10. Yeah but it's all relative per profession as I've said before right? On average, MMA Fighters are less intelligent which means the average IQ is more like 90-93, in that case your guy is pretty intelligent.
    1 point
  11. Average 100. 70-100 not very intelligent. 100-130 increasingly intelligent by significant degrees. 130+ extremely intelligent (cutoff level for MENSA)

  12. No worries I look forward to what you can do with it. It isn't exactly an easy one I think... 100k for the girl by the way !

  13. There shouldn't be a max rank, only a minimum, to avoid getting high skilled guys with zero hype against top fighters with hype.

  17. I would recommend now, choosing three weightclasses you are going to do and start with them first. I know I say you list 205/265/265+ then a guy asked about lower weights and you said you would actively sign stand up guys to every division - that is not the way to do it. That is what highland KT did and ended up with what like 4 people in each division? You need to give people a choice in like 2 or 3 weights and then if your org is good, word gets around and people start joining, you can run tourneys and such at other weights, perhaps have a 25 old only weight eventually. But for now, just pick 2 or 3 weights, let everybody here know to make it for those weights and it will be a better time I promise. It pays to be organized and get the word out early. I would say start with 155, 185 and 265+

  18. Real life comes first Scott. Best of luck with your family, enjoy these precious moments! I enjoy talking to eachother in game and think you are a top guy, but don't let the game stand in the way of real life and the most important things, so it's a good choice. Take a small step back and come back at full force when you are ready for it. If I can help in some way, let me know. altough I don't have much free time anymore myself.

  22. Hello again, Caged Combat Rio fighters, fans, and managers! Tony Scatero here, with another addition of CCR Smack Talk, brought to you as always by Bloodlust Horde Fight Wear, our partners in crime on the Rio scene. Today, we will be taking a closer look at the current champions in each of the divisions here at CCR. At 145 lbs, Cain "Machine" Dos Anos is an unlikely success story. Making his CCR debut at the end of a six fight losing streak, everyone expected Dos Anos to be another notch in the belt of former champion George Kalai. However, Dos Anos defied all odds and Smashed Kalai less than a minute into the first round. It remains to be seen whether this will be a rebirth for Dos Anos, or if he will succumb to the pressure of being a CCR champion. At 155 lbs, Dieter Schmidt is no stranger to the pressures of being champion; he has won the title three different times, and has only lost two fights in his impressive career. He has also racked up a Fight of the Night and five KO of the Night awards. Hard to control and harder to stop, Schmidt has smashed his way through the division; he's currently waiting for the top contenders to sort out who will be the next to challenge him for his title. At 170 lbs, Jose "The Viper" Silva has gone on a four fight win streak since losing in his first title bid against Paulo Guerrero. Managed by the awesomely named Ted DiBiase (I love eighties wrestling), Silva did not let that defeat deter him, and he came back better and stronger, eventually taking the belt from Lucas Campos and defending it twice, most recently against Jan Kriel at CCR 44. Now, he sits comfortably and unchallenged at the top of his division. The CCR 185 lb champ, Glass Joe, is a long-time CCR veteran, coming into the scene at the very beginning on CCR 1 in a win over Randolph Gracie. At CCR 10, Joe decisively took the title, and has not seen a non-title fight since that day. In fact, Joe has been involved in nine CCR title fights, and has yet to suffer two losses in a row. Anyone looking to claw their way to the top of the 185 lb division has their work cut out for them. The 205 lb champion, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, is also a long time CCR veteran, coming on the scene at CCR 4 with a win over Mickey Mouse; he has since then gone on to fight for or defend the 205 lb strap on ten seperate occasions. Always near the top of his division, the self proclaimed "ground and pound specialist" has a bio that sums it up: First Ever Caged Combat Rio Light Heavyweight Champion The Ground And Pound Specialist NCAA Division 1 Wrestling Champion 5x Brazillian Colliegiate Wrestling Champion Brazil Underground Cage fighting Champion #1 Ranked fighter in Caged Combat Rio Undefeated Light Heavyweight Champion First Ever Hall Of Fame Inductee in Caged Combat Rio 4th Ranked Heavyweight in Rio de Janeiro One of the Strongest fighters in the World An Undefeated Champion. Next, he will try to move up to 265, to try to unify the titles. Standing in his way is: At 265 lbs, heavyweight slugger "Hammerin" Hank Aaron is undefeated since coming to Caged Combat Rio. An ungodly talented striker, Aaron has knocked out every competitor since his fairly recent debut at CCR 35. September 2, he faces his greatest challenge yet against 205 lb champ Ricky Steamboat. If he wins, Aaron will retain his title, but if he loses, "The Dragon" will become a champion in both divisions, and firmly plant himself atop the heaviest hitters at CCR. And there it is; a murderer's row of the men who have managed to climb to the top of their sport, and keep knocking down the competition time and again. If you are looking to get to where these men stand now, it helps to take a look at where they've been before. Good luck to all of you!

  23. It's not a waste at all, as long as you can focus and plan. I've made and seen several successful Island fighters who were 16-19 at creation. Some of them do quite well in the MMA tournament at the end of season, like Zee Snore this season, and Zsiga Venczel and Patrick Seery the season prior. I think Seery might've been 21 at creation, but that's still well under 25. Also, it's a de facto 300k ID-restricted org with an 18yo limit on fighter age: everyone is on the same footing. If you create your fighter and completely ignore BJJ, GnP, Takedowns, T-Def, Subs, D-Grap, Trannies, and Escapes, you have enough to create a serviceable KT fighter at 16, let alone 18. Also, if you understood how The Island works, you would know that there is no such thing as a slow training process there. After a fight, it will normally take a fighter with 12ish conditioning about a week to go from zero energy to full; on The Island, it takes two or three days. You can train 7/8 slots a week at over 90% energy. Or you could fight almost literally every week and still get in some training. If you spend some time at Cozad working on your physicals, you can easily train a solid fighter on The Island, you just have to have some level of commitment. There are extra fighter slots available now, why don't you try creating a kid and following him his whole career?

  30. You better get the record straight. I already smashed potter in the tourney, then potter avoided me for 2 straight fights instead of defending his title against the man that just beat him. I finally get my taste of the gold and he wants a title shot in 1 week? After all the waiting I had to do? Fine, I'll fight potter in 1 week, in 1 year, in the street, in the ring, anytime, anywhere. He's a pretty boy coward. You better check your facts before you write that kind of shit about me again. Where I'm from people get smacked for running they mouths about something they know nothing about. Don Julio Cesar Chavez

  34. Yep, that was exactly my point, Holloway would never KO a bigger dude like mcgregor or diaz, McGregor is a natural 155 and can fight with higher preparation in training camp even at 170 without losing his abilities, Holloway is a tall malnourished kid that can only KO 145 midgets.

  38. He is not in his weight class, he still have the explosiveness he have at 145 but every time he attempt a move, all that weight on his arms and legs is going to take a toll on his cardio, he is pretty evident that he is not at 100% in 170lbs, not a natural here, he said hismelf he feel too much "weight" on his belly, that take a toll sooner or later, on the other hand Nate was fucking built like a truck in this bout, Conor said that the night of the fight, Nate was probably around 180, that might be true, Nate Diaz is a perfect 170lbs guy that could also fight at 185 if he wanted to, and boy he did look fucking big this time. At 155 and 145 i will never expect Conor to have cardio problems.

Your time is now. Use it wisely, cause its running out. And what happens then? That is what you all must try to find out.
