  1. So what did we learn here................. Cobra7: Be patient with fight offers and don't expect a fights every other week outside of the Island. It's very rare to see a fighter fight more then once a month unless they come out of a fight injury free and take a short notice fight. Ovoxo: Don't let guys do QFCs.

  2. Dude, if its "water under the bridge" then what u doing posting it on the forums? And he didnt call you a horrible manager. He called you a horrible manager to work with. Stuff like this should have been sorted out personally instead of attempting to go public to... idk, call him out for being rude or something?

  3. As it happens I do not get out much as you say, you might be right and ill take that to heart when considering if I should offer up my unwanted two pennies in the future, I tend to make it a habit to avoid these types of posts but a little part of me felt that what I had to say might actually help you become something people want to remember fondly when they look back upon this otherwise shit show shambles of a season. Instead you want to be the internet's answer to Dana White, that's fine, you play the game how you want to play it but if you are in a situation where you have to have a guy fight the same guy over and over and over and over again theirs a fair chance you are doing something wrong to start with. Do I understand the time it takes to run an org on the Island? you even burned me pretty good with that, bravo. As you so sharply pointed out I did try to run Island Aspire while also running Aspire MMA and I would in all honest still be doing so today if I had any of the following options open to me; A ) If I could have been hired to the org directly despite owning an org, or been able to open an Island specific company. B ) JB and or Jackie had been available to action my requests as was originally the plan, circumstance pretty much made this impossible. C ) I had been the type of dude to load a vpn up and multi account, know anybody who does that btw? no? ok let's carry on. So as you hinted we had to close that organisation fairly soon after it's creation and we actually made recommendations to our roster to join org's like yours and used every penny the promotion had made to date in order to fill as many fighters pockets as possible to give them the best possible start to the season given the situation, I regret how it went down and on that you have me bang to rights. With that said, given how much of a shit show this season has been and given this chosen management style you have adopted, I speculate people will hold Island Aspire in higher regard than they will The Island Title in retrospect. Prove me wrong! I want to be wrong, but you just cannot go around talking to people like that and expecting good things to come out of it. As for that "putting in time" comment, lol. Come on, as if you even tried that angle, have you see what my team is doing here? TL;DR - It's not what you say, it's how you say it. http://i.hurimg.com/i/hurriyet/75/0x0/590c22ec18c7731380c69ae2.jpg

  4. That's what every org in the game does to a degree really. Two sides of the coin regarding hype. The fighter thinks the hype is his and achieved solely by his actions, something to be protected like the precious in the Lord of the Rings. When you provide most of the hype in a fight, a loss would mean a drop in rank for both fighter's and manager's perspective. But that's how it goes in this game if you are successful. The org thinks the hype is a product of a system and the big amount of it just happens to be with this particular fighter who has done well in the settings he's in and since he's gotten so much he should also give chances to others and not take all the hype out of the circulation, so that everyone benefits (the org and the other fighters). Both views are understandable and there's nothing new about it.

  6. Apart from the popcorn part of this argument I've tried to stay away but I will comment on one thing: One of the big reasons I kept IFC open is because TONS of people supported us. Amongst them: 1- Scotty and TIT who brought over some top fighters when he didn't have to, when my org was in shambles. 2- Aspire (Shiv offered us to help financially without having to return the money, this guy is a fucking boss) I took Scotty's fighters and some became champs, I did not take Shiv's cash but just having that kind of financial backing in my back pocket meant 170+ fighters got to keep their jobs even if we went broke. If anything Aspire and TIT amongst many others kept IFC alive. So before anyone wants to call my season of the Island a shit show please check your facts and your contacts, there is so much more to it if you look carefully. I also want to point something out: I already made my $ and somewhat built my network so that my projects can either have their private gym under me or private gyms at friends'. I could close IFC today and say fuck off / bonsoir to everyone but I have made promises, to the people that taught me this game and to the managers at IFC, to Jay Tycooner who trusted me with his brand. Drama is all good as long as we understand that this is just a game and we live is a fragile ecosystem. Rivalries are good... as long as everyone is still playing the game tomorrow. Camara.

  7. Alright right now I have 17 fighters signed, 4 more contracts out, so means I'm still waiting on 11 managers to give me their creations. Lets shoot for the 17th on the first round, and then every round 4 weeks after, that Good? Anybody who gets eliminated can stay on and get a proper contract if they want it.

  11. "Con"or. He got the amateur treatment. Floyd just hung out. Let McGallagher punch himself out. Do work. Boom. Fight was not even close. Floyd controlled that entire fight.
    2 points
  12. Many of those illegal punches were due to Floyd turning his back and just curling up. The ref told him multiple times to keep his head up and to stop turning around. And to reference the judges just shows how corrupt the boxing judging is. The unofficial judge had the much more realistic score but the real judges were not going to let a mcgregor decision make boxing look bad. Mcgregor was clearly losing in the late rounds but it was competitive until the 9th round. It was a good fight.
    2 points
  13. The judging was setup so that there was no danger of boxing to lose. Rounds 1-3 Floyd did almost nothing but only the Italian guy gave Conor those rounds, the local Las Vegas boys obeyed the instructions to safeguard Floyd and gave two out of three to him...

  14. I gave Conor 4 rounds (1-3, 8) but Floyd was obviously coasting.

  24. That wasn't a fight. That was business 101. Floyd basically had the all-time record gifted to him. And in exchange gave the non-boxer some ring time. He wasn't supposed to knock any undue luster off the cash-cow, that is still bound to be around (other than him). I found it absurdly blatant how Mayweather was sitting on the breaks. As soon as he let his hands go, he hit McGregor with a few punches that had me laughing. Also nothing that McGregor threw had any pop in it. In contrast to Mayweather he was slow and the punches looked more like he was tapping him all the time. That also goes for the early rounds. When McGregor landed that uppercut early on, it didn't even really move Floyd's head. That is exactly what I meant, when I said, that a good MMA striker is far from being a good boxer. The contrast of it was overwhelmingly obvious. Floyd did what he was supposed to do. Win, but please don't kill him. There was nothing close about this fight and Mayweather could have ended it whenever he felt like it. For fuck sake! He was walking McGregor (billed as a "dangerous counter striker") down without even throwing anything at times.

  25. Floyd could have finished that in under 4 rounds. It felt extremely scripted, I personally cleaned up on Floyd inside the distance at -150 , under 9 1/2 at -180 (this was close and made for a great sweat).

  33. In the end this is a game, so your philosphy about "playing for the beauty" should still apply. I'm kinda new myself, but one thing ive noticed in all societies, including this one, is that they tend to prefer the tried and true path, the path of least resistance, rather than the off beaten one so theres hope for your dream yet. However, before you discover a new style, I would advise you first learn and understand the traditional builds that are currently in place. You can have a perfectly built fighter, but without understanding the sliders he becomes irrelevant quickly. Even Mozart had to learn the different chords first.

  35. You're opinion is fine man, you didn't get any downvotes that I can see so no one has a problem with that you said. People should generate their own opinion based on facts and my conclusion is Oxovo presented the facts, while The org owner already had gotten his side across to a large part of the community in his org, through private message that not everyone can see. Slandering and excluding someone from feeling welcome when they have a reasonable request is not well tolerated in this game, especially from past/current org owners who understand the delicacy of trying to keep managers happy. Oxovo has always been a pretty pleasant guy to deal with from my experience. The org owner was not easy to work with here.

I asked em to tell me a little about themselves and why they decided to come out the fight ranch. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w40.jpg "El Chico Malo" Samuel Andrade (LHW Contestant making his Pro Debut on the Fight Ranch!) 'Dios mio, where to begin? I was born in Guadalajara, where I spent the first 20 years of my life with mi abuela and two elder brothers. Whilst my eldest brother, Hector, decided to take up arms against the federales, and Jesús, the middle, followed a career as a marine biologist; I felt as though the pugilistic life was for me, which led me to take up boxing in my youth. My family were poor before my brothers began their careers, which meant that we did not have many of the same luxuries some of the other children our street did. We had a tv with only 3 channels, and the only video game I had was Donald Trump's Real Estate Tycoon. My favourite show growing up was the Apprentice, which lay the foundation for my idolisation of the current president. I realised when I was 20 that staying in Guadalajara wouldn't allow me to progress my career any further, so I made my way to the land of the free the only way possible to me: in the back of a drug traffickers pickup truck. Anyway, this has been a lot of fun, but I must get back to training. iViva Mexico!' http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/10/10w12.jpg Rich "The Money Maker" Tyme (FW Contestant / 0-1) " I am the oldest son in the Tyme family and try to represent them by staying professional. 46. July 2017 recap part 1 By Alika Webb When one door closes, why would you bother opening another one? As Menace Defoe clearly figured out, you can simply open the door that just closed because that’s how doors work. GAMMA#644 Origi v Defoe – July 1 205 title - Divock Origi © Vs Menace Defoe Much has already been said about the rivalry between these two legendary warriors but let us take a trip down memory lane for those who are still in the unknown. Once upon a time there was a land named Gamma, ruled by a king they called Mentor. King Mentor had many a daughter with a heart of gold and many battles were fought over their affection. This story in particular will be about one of the most stunning beauties of them all, a maiden so pure of gold that even dragons would unleash a torrent of their fiery breath to get their talons on so stunning a beauty. Many tried and failed to make her their own but two young nobles went through quite a journey for a chance to hold her hand. The first was a noble from the united tribes, Menace Defoe his name was. He followed their traditions and went through a military academy for fighters, named the GKNY. Slowly amongst his peers he rose as he went through battles with hordes of goblins. When he was deemed worthy, he graduated and joined the Gamma military were he stood before behemoths, trolls and many more creatures of legend before gaining the attention of the princess when he slew the tricky lycanthrope named Kai Kha. On a quest to a land far away, death escaped him by a razor’s edge as he stumbled upon a mighty dragon of D Amato but he came back home with a present for his princess. The second was a wanderer, roaming the lands all across the globe. Experience he gained hands-on from his travels rather than teachings from a master. Nicknamed a beast himself as Divock Origi had gained quite the notoriety for his slaughterings in lands that ranged from well-known to obscure. Treasure he looted on his path but the real prize awaited him at the end of his journey. Entering the land of Gamma, he was headstrong in his quest for the hand of the princess that stole his heart. By defeating a boneless creature of nightmares, he made his name known to the king. The king awarded him thusly with a duel. A battle raged between the wanderer Origi and the king’s champion, Menace Defoe. It went on for ages and never bored, minstrels still sing their praise about the epicness of their collision. Divock Origi captured the hand and heart of the princess. Origi went on a quest to slay the mighty drake Kakoullis, the drake’s head being the perfect gift for king Mentor but while Origi was en route, eternal rival Menace Defoe did not lay still. Decapitating the wizard of Theodorou brought him fame once more and thus a rematch was in order. The rematch, like the original slugfest turned out to be a barn-burner where once more neither gained the upper hand. The king’s advisor awarded the victory to Menace Defoe but before Divock Origi could claim his rematch, whispers of an uprising could be heard. King Mentor sent out his champion to defeat the leader, a soldier named Verama who would lay waste to any who would dare to oppose him in his quest for power. Winner: Menace Defoe by split decision. GAMMA#645 Gerbert vs Gunnar – July 1 265 title - Gunnar Steigelmann © Vs Gerbert Bryant "President" Gerbert Bryant was already known the world round for his dominance in the Gamma superheavyweight division but even inside the Gamma realm there is still more to conquer. Gunnar Steigelmann in his turn, established himself a force to be reckoned with by winning the heavyweight title but in superfights he has faltered. Gerbert Bryant smelled a weakness and he looked ready to exploit it as he made the unification of the heavyweight and superheavyweight title his new priority. Gunnar Steigelmann took the challenger on a ride in the first round, his punches and kicks doing their work as the president looked overwhelmed by a torrent of fiery strikes. Danger was always lurking in the deep for the champion, as Gerbert Bryant had quite the surprise for the champion at the beginning of the second round. The champion was taken off his feet and got dragged down to the canvas, like a shark Gerbert Bryant dragged his victim to the bottom of the ocean. Like a shark Gerbert Bryant grappled and tossed his victim about, ground and pounding the champion so violently as if he truly were a shark snapping its jaws at the champion’s face with murderous intent. "President" Gerbert Bryant felt his spirit rise and kept up the pace for another two rounds. In the final round, the fans bore witness to the heart of the champion, Gunnar Steigelmann came back with a vengeance but a takedown from Gerbert Bryant shut down all hope of a comeback. Winner: Gerbert Bryant by unanimous decision. GAMMA#646 Jimenez vs Goodman – July 8 185 title - Jimmy Dias Jimenez © Vs Saul Goodman The first one is always the hardest and Jimmy "BrokeBack" Dias Jimenez found that out the hard way! His first title defense was no mere formality as the middleweight division is one of the most diverse divisions. They’re all going head to head on a level playing field as the glue that held the division together - Steve "Bells" Belliveau – has left the building since losing the title. With a division in disarray, the entire locker room was looking at Jimmy "BrokeBack" Dias Jimenez to step up to the plate. Saul Goodman came out swinging and never slowed down, speedy punches mixed with lightning fast kicks caught the champion in a whirlwind of trouble. Jimmy Dias Jimenez was taken aback by the relentless assault of the challenger but did everything in his power to keep up in the challenger’s war of attrition, to no avail as Saul Goodman kept the good times rolling and never danced out of step. Winner: Saul Goodman by unanimous decision. GAMMA#647 Wolek v Citizen – July 15 155 title - Robert Sito © Vs Mathew Ridgeway Robert "Sitek" Sito is back on track as he is once again dominating the lightweight division with an iron fist. Robin Yount was the first to face the music and now a new challenger has surfaced. Mathew "Deep Waters" Ridgeway may not have the most spectacular record, sporting nine losses in his career but the man with the plan has yet to taste defeat in 2017. He started his career resurgence in the world renowned Evolution organization when a new manager took him under his wings. Now Mathew Ridgeway looks to finish his Cinderella story with a happy ending as he takes on Robert Sito with Gamma’s lightweight title on the line. A kickboxer in a previous life, Mathew "Deep Waters" Ridgeway took the fight to the champion as he hammered away on Robert Sito with a waterfall of stiff kicks and snapping punches. Even in the clinch Ridgeway proved that still waters run deep. Frustrations clearly visible on the champion’s face as the second round started, the fight continued much in the same way as the first round had ended. Halfway through the second round though, Robert Sito threw caution to the wind as he abandoned all defense and walked straight trough the former kickboxer’s offence to slap his opponent silly. An open-handed palm strike that Bas Rutten would be proud of had Mathew Ridgeway seeing stars. The champion heard opportunity knocking as he mercilessly unleashed the pain on the challenger. Winner: Robert Sito by TKO (strikes) after 2 minutes and 23 seconds in the second round. 135 title - Nico World Citizen © Vs Lukasz Wolek Newly crowned bantamweight champion Nico World Citizen faced the biggest challenge of his career as the number two pound for pound fighter in the world and current Gamma featherweight champion Lukasz Wolek dropped a weight class to unite the belts of Gamma’s lightest divisions. The referee looked like a hunter lost in the foggy jungles of terror. In the gloom of the mist, shadows could be seen. A glint of razor-sharp teeth could be spotted from the corner of his right eye while in the left, a pair of ruby diamonds shone terror in his heart for they where eyes burning with murderous intent. A growl roared from the horrors lurking in the mist as an enormous bear named Lukasz Wolek erupted from the shadows. Knife-like claws slashed about at the towering figure of the bear as Nico World Tiger made its entrance into the battlefield of the jungle. The tiger launched itself like an arrow from a hunter’s bow and nearly speared the bear in half but the bear caught the tiger in mid-flight, hugging it in a vice-like grip of death. With life draining from the tiger as the bear tightened its grip, the tiger trashed about with its snapping jaws as it was caught in the clutches of the bear’s paws. The hunter had seen enough of this carnage and unleashed a tune that deafened the sounds of the jungle with his rifle, sending the terrifying beasts scattering back into the darkness of the jungle, leaving the scene of battle with a clear victor yet to be declared. Winner: Lukasz Wolek by majority decision.

  47. MMA Gladiators has just acquired one of the most spectacular rising stars in all the sport. Aidan O’Neil, a former bare-knuckle boxing champion, has taken the MMA world by storm ever since his entrance into FORTITUDE. He holds an impressive 9 – 0 record, with all of his wins coming by knockout or TKO. Only one of those opponents managed to survive the first round. Despite this success, “Steel-Knuckle” has stayed true to his roots, and still calls his Caravan home. This featherweight FORTITUDE Champion looks poised to leave his mark on MMA Gladiators, and welcomes all comers on his quest for Championship gold. -Gabriel Michelangelo

  48. DUEL#17 Myles vs Hunter 2 Grey Worm versus Azadshatru Singh With the pressure of coming off of mult-fight losing streak, both of these Warriors felt the pressure of needing the victory. Singh showed his fight experience by sprawling 12 out of 13 takedown attempts by Worm. Once Worm scored the takedown he was able to put his Black Belt Jujitsu skills on display. With Careful transitions within the second round he was able to Tangle his opponents limb and locked up a Kimura. **** Grey Worm: R2 Submission (Kimura) **** Nir Sosa versus Sparring Fighter 1 As predicted, this fight was on of the top bouts of the night. Both men went toe to toe using every tool within their arsenal to try and defeat each other. Neither men can go home and say that they did not do everything in their power to win, they left it all in the cage and the fans are appreciative. Sosa was able to neutralize Fighter 1 more, using his experience as a MMA veteran. **** Nir Sosa: Unanimous Decision **** Parker Phoenix versus Takashi Kadota Wow! is all I can say to describe this bout. DFL newcomer Phoenix can really stand and bang! Takishi Kadota came into this fight thinking he would welcome the newly signed fighter by embarrassingly beating him at his own strength. Avoiding the ground, both fight stood toe to toe for the majority of the competition. Man-oh-man, can Phoenix really put on a display of superior striking. When it was all said and done, Phoenix landed 28 significant head strikes compared to his opponents 2. **** Parker Phoenix: Unanimous Decision Bobby Tupper versus Rahkim Abdullah Though he scored eight successful takedowns, Rahkim Abdullah had a tough night against veteran Bobby Tupper. Bobby was able to scramble back to his feet after hitting the mat and wear his opponent down. By the third round, Abdullah was too tired to shoot and stood with the experienced striker. The excellent game plan implemented by Tupper's Coaches, was nothing less then pure genius. **** Bobby Tupper: Unanimous Decision **** Amir Lohan versus Jarni Kutsoo Ladies and Gentlemen, this match up right here is the purest example of 'believe in yourself'. Kutsoo, as many of you fight fans know, is probably one of the best BJJ Black Belts in the World. His skill set completely eclipsed his challenger Amir Lohan. Or so we thought. Lohan walked into the cage, forced the Black Belt to the mat and submitted him in under 40 seconds. Yeah you heard it correctly, the Brown Belt submitted the World Famous Black Belt in under 40 seconds. Message received Amir Lohan, we heard you loud and clear. **** AMir Lohan: R1 Submission (Triangle) **** Steve Pick versus Slade Wilson Slade Wilson didn't look like his normal self coming into this bout. He was completely out-matched by the Submission Expert, finding himself in one bad position after another. Steve Pick was able to finish his opponent. What left a bad taste in the fans' mouths was what was said by Slade Wilson after the bout. Wilson admitted to fighting on multiple injuries that made his performance lack serious desire. **** Steve Pick: R1 KO (Punches) **** Lyon Gaultier versus Dominic Tattum If we were to score the fight ourselves, we would see an extremely lopsided fight. Lyon Gaultier was able to land 65 overall strikes flush on opponent Dominic Tattum, who only found success with 13 strikes landing. Gaultier was able to dominate this very dangerous opponent proving to DFL that he may be ready for Gold. **** Lyon Gaultier: Unanimous Decision **** Edwin Jordan versus Rashad Wilkinson This fight I believe should have hit the Judges table, it could have gone either way if it had. Not many fans had not shown great interest in this match-up initially, but once the bell sounded their eyes were glued. Such a back-and-forth battle between these two veteran made for great entertainment. Their was Boxing, Wrestling, Jujitsu, Muay Thai; I mean this fight had it all. Towards the end Jordan did find success in his ground and pound, especially with the elbow that became the beginning of the end. I agree with many of the fans when they say that everyone believes it was stopped too early. This should have went the distance! **** Edwin Jordan: R3 TKO (Strikes) Tommy Mayor versus Rafael Cortez Cortez was outclassed on his feet in this bout by Tommy Mayor. Not because he isn't as good, but because he suffered a nasty cut from a right hand almost immediately. Only seconds later Tommy Mayor was able to open the cut up more, rendering his dangerous opponent nearly blind. Even when Cortez was knocked down; he was willing to take the fight to the mat where he could make up some of the points lost and get his injury doctored in between rounds. Mayor signaled the referee to stand his opponent. The next strike landed its way into the record book as one of the most brutal head kicks I've seen in years. **** Tommy Mayor: R1 KO (Head kick) Justin Hunter versus Darren Myles I think that it is officially been settled. WE HAVE A NEW LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION! Justin Hunter takes the Title back home and puts it back above his mantle where it previously proudly hung. Justin may have talked a lot of trash prior to this event but he backed up every word. Only thing left is a rubber match. Let's keep our fingers crossed. **** Justin Hunter: R1 Submission (Guillotine) **** NEW LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION
