  10. "Diamond" Danny Brixton (11-2-0) http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14827161955927.png Pulse FC Featherweight champion at 20 - present Former Pulse FC Lightweight title Contender at 18 http://i.imgur.com/AmIglYM.jpg Arguably the best thing to come out of Brixton since David Bowie, is none other than a young man that shares a name with the south London district - Danny Brixton. Son to a mechanic Father and stay-at-home Mother, Danny - nicknamed "Diamond" - grew up with less than the average family but more than enough for them to get by. To get him away from a life of street-fighting and crime, Brixton was introduced to Boxing as a young teenager and took to it like a duck to water. He would then transition to Mixed Martial Arts in the following years. Due to his manager's connections in Tokyo, Brixton would sign a four-fight contract with the promotion Pulse FC. Soon after signing, he was booked against another debuting fighter despite being only seventeen years old, and seven years the junior of his opponent. Now, thirteen fights down the line, Danny is the Pulse FC Featherweight Champion and has defended his strap three times, looking better with each performance and showing no signs of slowing down. Since becoming Champion, Brixton has spent the majority of his winnings on giving back to the community that shaped him, investing in youth programmes as well as opening small gyms of his own. If granted the scholarship, the funds will be entirely used on bettering the lives of those less fortunate than he, as he plans on opening a large-scale fitness facility that shall be free to use for those that can't otherwise afford the luxury. http://mmatycoon.com/buzz/uploads/1492362239brrixton.png "Do they call me diamond for my chin? my hands? or the rocks in my watch? Who knows. But lord knows I'm gonna shine like one, and so should those that were never given the chance to. I'm going to give them that chance." Thanks for reading, and cheers for the opportunity :>

  11. 6 years ago, one of the best managers of the era suddenly disappeared, never to be seen again. Till quite recently, that is. Appearing out of the wilderness, we had a quick interview with Shiv Redux. Interviewer: Shiv! I can't believe it's really you! I'm a huge fan, could I get an autograph before we start? Thanks! Anyway, where have you been at all this while? Shiv: That's a good question. I'm not sure how to answer it, to be fair. I'd been at the top for too long, it was too easy and too boring - I needed a challenge. Interviewer: So... did you find one? Shiv: You could say that. I traveled. I fought the bulls in Spain, played a game of Calcio Fiorentino in Italy, even did a form of Vale Tudo up in Brazil. That year was quite interesting. Interviewer: Wow, that sounds intense. And that was challenging? Shiv: Nope, all that just made me realize that the only true challenge I would get would be myself. I spent then next 3 years meditating in a small village in Cambodia. Interviewer: So, what are you doing around here now? Are you back? Shiv: After Cambodia, I traveled the world again, this time looking for the right individuals for me to mould into gods. All the kids that you see training under me are people I came across on my travels. Interviewer: Looking at your roster, I can see people from so many countries. England, Spain, Greece, Thailand and even Nigeria. It must be quite a colorful training camp. Shiv: Oh, the boys are fantastic. They're all getting the hang of English now, so that's just making things easier. It's not a big deal though, since fighting is a language of it's own. Interviewer: There's an amazing scholarship fund that's currently looking for an upcoming talent - do you think there's anyone you'd like to suggest? Shiv: Honestly, they're all fantastic. You could probably give them all scholarships. If I have to pick one out though, it would probably be... http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14954775393490.jpg Shiv: ... Iolyn "Tywysog y Gigfran" Madog. He's a Welsh boy - really bright and boy can he take a punch. He was locally called "The Price of Ravens". I think it was a prophetic claim on how great he's going to become. Interviewer: Amazing! That should be great. Can we get a quick quote from Iolyn? Do you have any advice for other fighters like yourself looking to move to a city like London? Iolyn: Never kiss a girl whose brothers have knife scars. Interviewer: That... sounds like it was from experience. I think that should be enough though, thanks!

  12. Short post because I haven't though about this in great depth. Right now the most effective way to train up a young fighter is to stick him in the gym for several in game years with a couple of hidden testing fights, in reality this is extremely unusual -- the act of competition helps a fighter gauge their skills and improve, but in MMA tycoon it's rare to see any significant number of fights on young fighters because it's also their prime learning time. Perhaps grant some kind of learning bonus to fighters who have fought more recently, and perhaps some kind of negative to slow down those who haven't -- maybe making it harder to reach certain skill levels without fights, or just slowing learning down a bit entirely. It would help the game on a few levels -- for one it would let new players have some kind of chance at lower hype levels instead of constantly running into project beasts, and for another it would get rid of the ridiculous sitting around until the fighter is quad sensational before having him fight.

  13. I'm not sure it has to be as complex as what shockg suggested? When I first read Erik's post I thought of it more like a boost to learning which happens for a period after the fight has taken place. The fight itself would just act as a switch to activate the boost. This way the training in the gym still does the learning that everyone know's and understands but hopefully with the lure of a small boost to learning speed by regular fights it should get more fighters in the cage with no need for in depth programming to change the way fighters learn. As to whether he fights cans or not I'm not so sure this would really be an issue. I'm not sure the top managers who are hoping they have a #1 p4p fighter on their hands would risk their fighters credibility by fighting 10 cans before turning up at one of the top orgs. As for the rest, or the mediocre and below - well some still fight cans now, I'm not sure it would really change by a huge amount. I also think it should be enough of a gain to tempt people to fight with their projects but not so large to penalise the very casual manager or the small percentage who would prefer to spend an extra amount of months training. I think the OP's suggestion is an excellent idea, hopefully it would lead fighters to be much more active and could help help keep the interest of new players more if there are more fighters stepping in the cage and be better for the game in the long run.

  14. Regarding your first bit about number of fights, obviously it can be tweaked to favour certain things, but just giving some benefits for fighting is a place to start -- especially for new managers. As for exploitable, virtually all systems are exploitable, the current game is heavily reliant on money laundering which is its self an exploit of sorts. ID restricted orgs don't really address the project thing, an ID restriction is only a skill limit for about 3-6 months of real time under the current system. It's ridiculous to suggest that fighters starting their careers should have monster skills already if they're to reach the top, a fighter should be able to take fights at a reasonable skill level and continue to develop while fighting as happens in reality.

  15. I really like this idea. I have thought about it too. I figured maybe have a motivation bonus, when you have a fight booked your skills train quicker than usual. Or maybe boost the effect of experience?

  18. The Group finally made it happen. They worked few months side by side with Mike and his programmer to have this done and every minute and second of their time and effort was worth it. Now just lay back and enjoy old manager returning to the game and new manager joining in on daily bases. Thanks to The Group and every one who helped them to make this thing happen.

  19. Sorry guys for not following up on this thread, due to a few different reasons. Anyway, all those who already have participated ( = wrote a story already) , will stay signed up, while I'll give you all one more week to write new stories with other fights. The more different fighters that sign up here, the better, so that the forum members have some fun stuff to read and follow. Deadline: must have written a story on here before 20/09/2017 or it will not be taken into account anymore. Any level of your own fighters can be written about on here, noob fighter or elite level beast. So once again, apologies for the delay, but take full advantage now guys and potentially win the scholarships! Have fun and do so in style!

  20. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14391921581862.png Eyeam Yurmommy I'm stoked to be headlining the event in less than two days time. Hats off to Reco Penn for actually accepting the challenge when all other contenders and the champ were declining the offer. Good luck Reco, but just not too much good luck. May the best man win. THank you Bushido-staff and fans for everything that you have done. You guys rule! Also Rei , if you can't find a dancing partner for Ira Wright, you know I've got some slick dance moves...I'll go to battle!

  21. Quote: " Deadline: must have written a story on here before 20/09/2017 " This does not mean that I will announce the winners the day afterwards, you grumpy old man. I'm free next weekend and then I'll look over the different participants, announce the winners and hand out the money.
