I do not need a signing bonus. Just increase the base pay to cover what you normally would have offered as a bonus divided by the number of fights. So instead of a 30k bonus over for a 3 fight contract just add 10k onto the base pay. This way I only get payed if I fight. No risk to your org or me. If the opponent has lower ID and superior primaries, I'm probably not going to take the fight. I'm willing to fight someone who has superior primaries if their ID is higher or vise versa.

good idea but that is a bit expensive. Making it cheaper would mean a lot more people would do it. More money generated for Mike and more people would get to use it. Personally I'd never pay 55 days for any hidden info. Maybe 10 or 15 though

I'd be willing to pay to retire my fighters directly to the Bahamas if it was a little more reasonable. 3 months of VIP is ridiculous. I don't want other people using fighters that I spent a year or more building. I'd pay a dollar or 2 for it but there is no way I'm gonna spend 10 bucks to get rid of a fighter that is a total disappointment. Instead I am just leaving them on my roster without training them until their skills drop so far that they will not be desirable to anyone.

This is kind of why I decided to make this. A lot of guys just never really thought about it or maybe don't know if the org would even care. Until you are on the other side of the fence it is hard to understand how difficult putting a card together can be. It's a bit like putting a puzzle together because not every fighter in a division is currently a suitable match for everyone else in the division. Different managers want different things. I like to have lots of training time between each fight, 4 weeks. Others like to fight as often as possible and want less then 2 weeks between fights. Some guys will fight almost anyone you put in front of them and others are exceptionally picky. It's not easy to make everyone happy but nearly impossible when you don't know what they want.

I just wanted to give a bit of advice to anyone who is new to the game and wants to maintain a good relationship with an org and also how to make more money or get things that you want. ID restriction Orgs A lot of people don't understand this when they first start the game. They are orgs that only allow in fighters with an ID higher than their restriction. This makes for a more level playing field for the fighters. New contracts The biggest thing most orgs are looking for is hype and popularity. Hype+pop = more tickets sold. The amount of money you are going to be offered will depend greatly on your hype/pop and what kind of org it is. Unrestricted orgs can often pay a bit more but their competition is likely to be much more difficult because they have older fighters. The opposite is true of ID restriction, less money but the fighters will be closer to your level of training. You may not get many offers until you have won a couple of QFC fights. If you don't want to wait you can always message the org and ask for one. If you don't like the contract, don't just hit decline with a blank box. There is a message box where you can tell them why you are not interested. If you tell them why you are declining they might sweeten the deal to change your mind. If the trip is too long for you they may offer to pay for that. If they money is not right they may be willing to come up. Want less fights, more fights, tell them. Most people will try to work with you but some may start off with their top offer so they may not all budge. Fight offers If you don't log in regularly at least every few days then most orgs are not gonna want to deal with you again. We have cards to fill and every time someone wastes a week to make a decision and then declines, we then have 1 week less to find a replacement. The second time around it is even harder to find a good match because most of the other fighters will already be locked into fights. Also since there is less notice time managers are more likely to decline. This can be a snowball effect all caused by one guy who didn't make a decision within a few days. My partner and I just don't resign these people and most orgs operate this way although they will all have their own preference for how long they can tolerate no response to the fight offer. Declining fights If you see an offer you are not happy with it is ok to decline. It is better to decline a fight than to do nothing at all. If you declining you need to give a reason, every time. Last week I had a guy decline without a reason, I sent a reminder that I need a reason and also a new fight offer. He declined again because the original reason was that he wanted more training time. Not knowing that, I made the new offer for the same date but with a different fighter. This is a prime example of why a reason needs to be given for every decline because ultimately I lost over a week of time playing around with this issue. I don't think you will find an org in this game who doesn't want to know why you are declining. Keep in mind that everyone in the game is represented by a real person who wants to win too. You can't always be the favorite. Sometime you will be the underdog. That certainly doesn't mean you wont win. That doesn't mean you should accept a fight where the opponent is better than you in every aspect of the game by a large amount. If it is just a couple points in each of the 4 primaries that would be an uphill battle but not impossible. I try to make sure every fighter has an advantage somewhere. Some managers will decline any fight that is not to their advantage. Including exceptionally even matches. These people quickly find themselves homeless and unwanted. On the flip side there are some bad orgs that are going to try and take advantage of you and throw you to the wolves for your hype. I don't think it is that many though. I have never had anyone try any crazy matches with me but I have seen a few guys that came to my org because the last one they were in was just farming them for hype. If you are unhappy with an org, you can offer to return the signing bonus if they will release your fighter. Many orgs will do this. Most of them don't want anyone who doesn't want to be there. Depending on the hype of the fighter they may ask for more than the bonus was. This is not unreasonable if you have won some matches in their org. Resigning When your contract is nearly up and the org wants to keep you they will send a new contrat. Usually while the original is still active. Since you will have at least 1 fight left on that contract they may add 1 fight to the new deal since it is coming from the original. 3-5 fights is standard early on. Late game I think it tends to be less when your fighter is getting to be a big shot. If the original deal was for 4 fights and you have done 3. The new contract maybe for 5 because although they want to do another 4 fights you still owe them one from the original contract. You should always get more money if your hype went up. If you lost most of your fights it shouldn't go down under most circumstances. If you lose a large amount of hype may not be able to afford the original contract but I have not seen that yet though I'm sure it happens. Communication Ultimately the most important thing is to communicate with the org. You will get more out of it and they will appreciate it and try to keep you happy. If you don't communicate with them then you are just another number and if that number isn't a high one then they wont care. Orgs that don't respond back to your communication are not worth dealing with. Finish your contract and move on because if they can't be bothered to respond to you they probably can't be bothered to do the work it takes to give you fair fights and contracts. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope that helps some new people who are coming into the game. I can back this up. I have a guy with 147 IQ, second highest possible that I've ever heard of. Yet he is by far the slowest learner I have ever had.

The idea was to make the list public so all of the promoters would have it available to them. So none of us would have to deal with those guys. Also it might have forced people to decline fights they don't want rather than ignore them to avoid getting on the list.

yea fighting a debut fighter would be risky but that is true in the real world. Whenever possible you would want to pit debut guys against each other. I was thinking this would be more for experienced managers rather than brand new ones. Trying to figure your opponent just based on stats from previous fights would obviously be difficult for a new manager to handle. i think anyone who is successful already does this anyway. Just because someone has high MT you don't really know if they are a clincher or kicker or if a ground guy has more GnP or submission skill until you look into their fight history.

same here. I would love to open another org but I just can't live without my own gym. Most gyms are absolute garbage and the ones that are decent are crowded.

I'd love to see some different pay options on orgs. Bucko and I run Valhalla Hilo and I get a percentage of every show we do. It's the only way to do it because nobody in their right mind is gonna do matchmaking or recruiting for 5k a week. Sorry but that is just chump change compared to the amount of work that goes into those jobs and how much an average org can make per week. It would be nice if these thing could be done by the system though. Currently Bucko has to remember to actually pay me and he has to do math which is difficult for him if he is also chewing gum at the time. Not to mention the thousands we lose to the system taking a bite out of the transfer. I hired a recruiter for a while but I wasn't satisfied with the amount of contracts going out so I had to let him go. It would be awesome if we could pay someone per contract that they sent out or per person brought in. That way if things are just dry at the time like they often are then we wouldn't be paying for nothing. It would give them more incentive to work on it more often.

I think it would be great if there was another Island. Instead of having money being separate from the rest of the world. Have the primaries of all the fighters remain hidden. The only way of knowing what your opponent might be good at is to look at his previous fight stats and guess what he seems to be good with. Fighters on this Island would only be 'natives'. They cannot come from the regular world and must start there. They could leave but never return because once they left their primaries would have to be public. I think this would bring a new element of realism to the experience. It would also make match making very easy. You just go by ranking/hype.

I'm down for anything that gives more contract options. I have one guy who likes to move divisions and I often try to arrange super fights so these ideas would really work well for me

Mike is there any update on this issue? I know there was a really good solution but just had not been implemented yet. this problem is certainly ruining the experience for me and many others. It ultimately effects everyone eventually.

Now that the new stats are sorted out canwe Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease get this thing sorted out. I got so many people absing the fact that there is zero repercussions for ignoring fight offers. Sometimes these clowns will ignore them for a week and then decline....now everyone else in the division is locked into a fight so I have nothing to even offer the other guy who was not at fault. These selfish dickheads are not just making booker's lives difficult. They are also effecting everyone else on the roster.
