  9. Google+ Gmail Calendar more All Docs Wolves at the door 28 Feb 2014: Article by Carlos Castenada. AFL Wolves At The Door from Attack Fight League Two belts up for grabs and a mega-fight between Champion Satoshi Inoki Ishii and challenger John Islander Doe where Ishii defends his 265 lbs belt. 265 lbs Satoshi Ishii v John Doe Ishii: 4-0-0 (W-L-D)~ Explosive Champion Inoki scored fight of the night at Wild Bob's Bar - The Island (750) where he claimed the title against Rudolf Castile by TKO (strikes) early this month. Ishii is on a 4 win streak and still holds the Super Heavyweight belt. He faces the undefeated contender John Island Doe. Ishii is a solid wrestler with respectable MT. His opponent is proficient at MT so if it comes down to technique...Ishi will certainly have a fight on his hands tonight. Ishii edges in wrestling so his clinch could be just that bit more effective....I think Ishii might be thinking about slamming Does face into to mat. John Doe: 5-0-0(W-L-D)~ Got the call from Dana White and was ready for the title fight in 3 weeks. What a badman!! Taking a leaf out of Urijah Fabers book, possibly. This guy does literally retire fighters. Strong Wrestler with MT. 5 wins- no losses and won fight f the night in both his last 2 fights were both fights were stopped due to cuts. Both his last opponents ended up with doctors intervention. Paramedics were called in there was some on the spot surgery done which resulted in a helicopter transport. Doe will, possibly be hoping to un-innocuously put Inoki into a body bag. 155 lbs Antonio Paulo v Crazy Kure Lightweight The winner of this fight claims the belt. Paulo: 3-0-0 (W-L-D)~Claim. Muay Thai wrestler. Background: Karate. Remind me of Hendrix, cos he just loves to fight. Paulo always has smile coming into the cage. I dont know about his KO power, but he certainly has a granite chin. 3 fight win streak with no losses. Kure: 3-1-0 (W-L-D)~ BJJ/Boxer with a good chin. Only lost against Hyan Gracie by TKO. Bookies will give decent odds on Kure finishing by submission. This guy has style and has finished each of his wins with a different submission. Kure will chew Paulo up if it goes to the mat, but with practically zero wrestling I expect he will have to take some punishment to get close enough to do his thing. I dunno, is he gonna keep trying to pullguard until he gets it???Transitioning from the clinch to pullguard could be like walking through a kill-zone into Paulos deadly MT clinch 170 lbs Sam Ponjev v Andrew Swanson welterweights Another unclaimed belt waiting for the taking. Interesting skill sets these two. Paulo is fond of the RNC and has scored 2 of his 5 fights that way. Now theres no doubt he willl not be taking Swanson down in a hurry cos as confident as he may be at attempting wild shit (as when he pulled off a brilliant move against an evenly matched BJJ guy in his first fight) he faces a confident BJJ purple belt with a great ground game. Ponjev: 5-0-0 (W-L-D)~Intelligent. Ponjev has slightly better MT but outranks his opponent in wrestling by a long way.....lets see if he will be trying to clinch or has he been training in kicks and can keep Swanson at range. I dont know they look fairly evenly matched standing. We might see some knees and we might see some elbows from the clinch. Personally Im looking forward to this fight. The striking may not be the highest level, but the tactics of each fighter will be the paramount. Swanson: 3-1-0 (W-L-D)~ From a mud farm in China is Quick Fighter Specialist. Also intelligent. Swanson is going to be looking to do one thing and one thing only and thats smash Ponjevs head into the mat. Ponjev will not RNC this guy. Swanson has a dash of boxing under his belt, but no, this fight will be going one way and thats his as far as hes concerned and Im afraid to say I agree. Is Ponjev is stupid enough to take him to the ground. Swansons wrestling is weak so he will have to pull out some slick shit with his sliders. Swanson will surely take the belt if he can take Ponjev to the ground. 205 lbs Garen Crownguard v Lincoln Six Echo Crownguard: 2-0-0 (W-L-D)~ Loves his knees bro. MT/wrestler. This guy looks good. No losses in 2 fights. Looks like a sprawl and brawl MT guy to me. If he has GnP he will be bringing that into his game. I foresee lots of knees and kicks. Echo: 2-0-0 (W-L-D)~ Also 2 fights-no losses. Striker with solid boxing background. Comin out of The States and rumour has it comes from a strictly striking camp. Good striking but doesnt have the technique and experience of his opponent when it comes to the Muay Thai. Echo will be darting in and out and trying to pull him apart, while avoid takedowns. His opponent is also a white belt at BJJ, so maybe facelocking is out of the question. 205 lbs Mach II v Budi Mulia Mach II:1-0-0 (W-L-D)~German Borg. Wild Borg man. This guy is a machine. His manager looks like he knows what hes doing, but words out that he smokes round the back in between BJJ sessions. I dunno, Joe Rogan said having a smoke before Jui-Jitsu is a pretty good idea. Mulia: 2-0-0 (W-L-D)~ low moral. not very popular guy. KO power. One win by tko and one by submission. 205 lbs Ragnar Lodbrok v Draconis Gherobane Lodrok: 2-1-0 (W-L-D)~ The Viking....is this an invasion? Wrestler/boxer with a blue belt in BJJ. Straight over from Scandinavia. Granite chin. Pure bred. Gherobane: 3-1-0 (W-L-D)~ Boxer/wrestler with solid chin. Lets hope he aint on the Afghani kush tonight.
  10. hello > How do you feel going into AFL Wolves at the Door? Tell us a bit about your camp. Feeling great, thx man. My camp was fine, i prepared all i wanted to prepare for this title fight. I'm still a little bit frustrated he got his title shot before me, because i was above him in all ratings. > What do you make of the matchup with Satoshi Ishii ? This gonna be tough fight. I can promise to my fans - there will be blood a lot of blood > Longer term, you have anything in particular you're keying in on right now? I'm working to be more versatile fighter but that doesn't mean I will change my style. > What do you think of (Down Dirty) calling out the winnier out ? No problem at all. As a champ I must fight whoever my org owner will put in front of me. > Finally, if you're going to call it, how do you think the Satoshi Ishii fight is going to go? He will try to take me down, since his stand up skills aren't that good. Lets see if he manages to do it before I TKO him.
