  1. My island fighter 'Going To' The Bigtime [245489] is currently 3-0 all submission finishes. He's looking for a contract on the Island if anyone has room for him.
  2. Well, I guess I know the date today lol (which isn't always the case this early in the morning, so thanks for the heads up Mike)
  3. Only time will tell! But it does pose for an exciting lead up towards the end of this year and the start of next.
  4. Second from the left. Francine I believe? I'd be more than happy to offer my shoulder/lap for any of the losers to cry on thou lol
  5. Let him coach TUF Nations Brazil vs America, give him a fellow great to fight against or something and let him leave with his legacy instilled in those that he coaches that season?
  6. +1 Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I don't follow grappling matches as closely as I ought to.
  7. +1 Sure they might not be the most feasible means of getting a victory, but surprise is a valid tactic, and if you're facing a strong MT fighter like likes to clinch, but has not so great defensive grappling or BJJ, you should be able to go for a kneebar or a rear naked choke on a standing opponent etc. It would also leave room for Judo or Sambo to make their way into the game, as that is the only thing that even remotely disappoints me about MMA Tycoon, no Judo/Sambo, or Karate/Taekwondo.
  8. It makes sense, we see this with gyms in real life. Perhaps the fighters training out of a highly rated gym can have better moral or more confidence.
  9. This is the argument for a steroids only MMA lol
  10. I thought I saw it for a second, but then I got distracted
  11. Thanks for asking my question for me! And thanks to those that answered it.
  12. So, if your'e trying to avoid clinch attempts with a striker, the best bet would be accurate combos from the outside? What about leg kicks, would they help if the fighter was skilled enough? Just curious, working on a few clinch fighters and this post caught my eye.
  13. Are IQ tests only available through spin and win? Or can VIP players test all their fighters?
  14. I enjoyed this card a lot. The icelandic flag was fun to see in the win column of a UFC fight! Certainly showcased a tough style. Gus looked like the warrior he always does, and Manuwa certainly didn't fight his last fight. All in all I look forward too seeing Gus's next outing either way, and it'll be interesting to see what becomes of Manuwa. Gunny has spark a new interest as well, very much eager to see when and who he fights next.
  15. How many sane individuals would be willing to give Mayweather any chance at all to punch them in the face. She's cute, and she's tough as tits get, but lets face it, she is still a 145lbs woman whos never faced a boxer like Mayweather. I'd guess the odds would go in Mayweathers favor, considered even if he put 6 months into wrestling before the fight I'm sure he could learn enough to land his punches. That say, Floyd might just let her take the arm and go for a ride lol
  16. Haha, leave it to Joe Rogan to call all the haters out. I agree with most of what Joe says, but less face it the welterweight division has always been one of the hardest to wrap your head around, so now we've got all these new names etc. when we've just come out of an era where there was only one (or three) name.
  17. I've got a young 2-0 fighter with great potential fighting out of Montreal, but could be willing to make a move if the company is right. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=244603 I'd like to fight equally skilled opponents perhaps once every week or two. If your organization is looking for some fresh young talent, this could be your guy.
  18. Ya, I've got room on my roster for 2 more fighters, but if I plan to put them in top tier gyms and give them the best supplements I'll need a little more capital. A sponsor that reached out to me linked me to the BOOM thread and I left a message there, but I saw this pop up instead so here I am
  19. So, if I was advised to post in the BOOM fund thread, than I should instead be posting here? I was told that there were managers who wanted to give new managers a helping hand on their way into the MMA Tycoon world. I'm not asking to have the world handed to me, but all the help I am given will not go unappreciated. My fighters will have the best training and supplements they can afford, so that when they show up in your organizations to fight, you'll get your moneys worth! If there are requirements to be a participant etc. I'd be more than happy to try to fulfill them, or provide the proper information etc. Just send me a PM with any details.
  20. My name is Matt and I'm an MMA fan. I've been watching UFC events near religiously since UFC 95 or so, but I've always been fascinated with combat and competition, despite never having partaken myself. That said I have played a lot of internet games, and none of them seem to offer the depth and community that I've seen from my short stint here at MMA Tycoon. I've met some nice people and had a few fights. Really looking forward to delving all the way in.
  21. I figure as much, most gyms seem to offer some sort of BJJ training, I just thought I'd make an inquiry, and see if there are any specific BJJ oriented gyms that might be looking specifically for new members etc. I haven't created the fighter yet is why I'm making the inquiry. That way I can build a fighter that will do well at the gym he'll train at. Perhaps one day being a champion and having this story to tell about how I as his manager sought out the best for him lol. EDIT: In regards to the offer of funds, that's kind but my mentor was kind enough to give me some to help my fighters train. Plus, a sponsor that reached out to me put me in contact with the BOOM fund? So, I'm waiting to hear from them. I wouldn't want to take money just because it is being offered.
  22. Thanks I'll take a look. Anyone else have any other possible gyms in mind?
  23. I'd just like to stop in and say how awesome it is to have been offered a sponsorship for my fighters! Especially from such a reputable and wonderfully managed company. The designs are great, and I can't wait for my order to arrive so I can ship it to my fighters ASAP.
  24. I'm interested in dabbling a bit in some writing. I'm still new to MMA Tycoon, so I'm focusing on learning the tricks and tips of being a manager first and foremost, but I've always had a keen set of hands for a bit of keyboarding, and I've got plenty of time on my hands. If any organizations or companies are looking for a bit of writing and haven't found a writer, PM me with what you need done, by when and how much you'll pay if my article is acceptable and perhaps we can make a deal. I'd like to avoid long term contracts and expectations while I improve my standing as a manager, and my reputation and skills as a writer. Look forward to hearing from potential clients! /GP
  25. I've been looking to create a BJJ fighter and would like to extend my feelers for a good location to base him out of. If there are any mid level, affordable but effective gyms out there that think they would be a good home for my fighter please PM me. I'm still new to the game, but I'll do my best to make your gym or dojo proud.
