  1. SYN Supernova XIII 22 APR 2023 LA Memorial Colossuseum, Los Angeles Hello everyone! Bleak here coming to you with the next chapter of SYN evolution and I’m brimming with excitement to work with the staff and managers here at the greatest org in the business. This is my first time to be involved with a Supernova promotion and I hope this preview does it justice as this is one of the greatest events on the planet and I can only hope to live up to the hype. As you know, Supernova is a monster. Every title is on the line, every MMA fan in the world will be tuning in for at least one of these fights, if not all. You’ve got the #1 P4P fighter in the world headlining this card in a title defense searching to set historical records. Co-headlining this event is another SYN champ on a nice run having recently travelled to Combate to exert SYN style dominance there. Obviously, with 7 titles on the line, you know there’s going to be a plethora of greatness on display in the cage, so let’s break down these fights a little more. Johnny Albatross vs Joe Biden Name: Johnny “Vampire Hunter” Albatross Record: 19-4 SYN record: 2-1 Country: Spain Manager: John Wayne Notes: Albatross is a newer addition to the SYN roster, but already he’s making a name for himself. Following up his extremely successful career at ENIGMA where he captured the Bantamweight title 3 different times. His most recent run being his longest stint as champion as he defended his belt 4 times before being dethroned. (Title fight record 8-3) Now, he’s looking for his third consecutive win in hopes of another title shot in the not too distant future. An excellent striker with 15 finishes but his bugaboo has been his ground defense where 2 of his 3 title losses came via submission. He’s an exceptional wrestler, but only a blue belt in BJJ and seems to be the focal point of his opponents. His current opponent is a much better grappler but doesn’t have a history of use his ground skills offensively, which will play to Albatross’ gameplan making this anyone’s fight. Name: Joe “The Eagle” Biden Record: 21-9-1 SYN Record: 6-3 Country: Sao Tomea Principe Manager: Jason Swanson Notes: Biden has had a successful career, but a title has eluded him to this point. He’s been in two title fights, losing both. His second fight in SYN he lost a split decision to Detkhunjon Sitsongrit, though he followed that up with a split decision win in his next outing. He’s now won 3 in a row and is building up momentum for this fight. While being a much more experienced fighter with 7 more fights than his opponent, yet 2 less finishes. He’s not displayed any real power since joining the SYN ranks, but that hasn’t stopped him from scoring points and out boxing his opponents as he’s become a better technical fighter. Matchup: These two match up extremely well standing. As I mentioned before, Biden has the advantage on the ground, but his skills have been used more defensively and not considered much of an offensive threat there. Both fighters are on a roll but there can be only one. Not a bad card when the opening fight features 2 top 100 P4P fighters on winning streaks to kick things off for another explosive Supernova! Cornelius Myers vs Petchuanglek Sitsongrit 145 Title Fight Name: Cornelius Myers Record: 24-11 SYN Record: 7-2 Country: USA Manager: John Wayne Notes: Myers won his belt on a split decision last fight against Sitsongrit, and he’s looking to prove it was not a fluke by following that up with another more decisive win in this one. Having won 3 in a row now, he looks to defend his belt and start another run like he had when he first joined SYN where he captured and defended the title two times. He’s proven he has the tools to get the job done and with a win here will likely crack the top 10 P4P fighters in the world as he currently sits at 13. Name: Petchuanglek Sitsongrit Record: 27-6 SYN Record: 15-4 Country: Thailand Manager: Theksit Ruengruong Notes: Sitsongrit comes from a stable of very accomplished MT specialists. With a 15-4 record in SYN, and having held the title on 3 different occasions with a total of 9 successful title defenses, Sitsongrit is one of the most accomplished fighters in the division. His SYN history is well known, but he’s displayed greatness even in the early days of his career where he was a 2x HFC champion with 5 successful defenses. When it comes to the bright lights, Sitsongrit steps up. He’s never lost two fights in a row in his career, and will not be looking to start now. Matchup: When it comes to the matchup, it couldn’t be any closer in skills. These guys are seasoned vets with big fight experience. Myers has a bit more pop to his punches, but many fighters have learned the hard way that it’s not easy to break through a Sitsongrit’s defenses to get that KO victory. Myers has proven he can hang with Sitsongrit, now let’s see if he can establish himself as just being better. This fight can go either way, and may very well come down to another split decision. These fights just don’t get any closer than this. Joad Crossbeckler vs Kaki Moutain 170 Title Fight Name: Joad Cressbeckler Record: 31-10 SYN Record: 12-5 Country: USA Manager: G Wad Notes: Cressbeckler is no stranger to the big stage having captured the title in both HFC and in SYN on multiple occasions. He’s on a roll now having won 4 strait, the biggest of which for him might just be the win over Benedetti where he avenged the prior two losses to him, and recapturing the title in the process. He successfully defended it last outing against Morrison and now puts his title on the line against visiting SMASH champion, Kaki Moutain. Sitting just inside the top 10 at rank 9 P4P, Cressbeckler is not a man to be taken lightly. A win here will not only give him clout amongst his peers at SYN, but possibly land him inside the top 5 P4P by the time this event is over. Name: Kaki Mountain Record: 25-12 Country: Finland Manager: Jorma Oltsu Notes: Mountain is a top 25 fighter in the world and 2x SMASH champion who has won 7 of his last 8 fights, 4 of which for the gold strap. He faced Raate Road in a cross promotion bout with Combate where he fell short via TKO but that hasn’t deterred him from the challenge of doing it again. He’s flashed the ability to finish opponents but most of his fights of late end up going to the judges score cards. Not a bad thing when you win most of them, I suppose. Matchup: On paper, Cressbeckler has the slight edge in both stats, P4P ranking, and in cage prowess. It’s not a huge gap by any means, but in a title fight you’ll take any edge you can get. Both guys have won most of their fights by decision, and both of them have won most of them. Each fighter’s losses of late come from being KO’d so I’m very interested to see if they fight for the decision or if one of them decides to test the other’s chin. Crusty Bigg vs Imperial Washington Name: Crusty Bigg “Bang” Record: 29-13 SYN Record: 10-6 Country: USA Manager: Bradly Burns Notes: Bigg has recently changed management and doesn’t look like the change has hurt him in the slightest. He’s now 2-1 under new management with the one loss being a title loss to the legendary Kilo Maluga who headlines this card. Nobody can fault him for that as not many fighters have stood in the cage with Kilo and not ended up sleeping. But what I love about Bigg is that he brings it. You love to see guys finish and rather he’s finishing or getting finished, he will stand and bang until it’s done. Yes, this is partially the weight class, but Bigg has stood and banged against some hard hitters and taken his fair share of lumps. But he always comes back and looks to rip the next guy’s head off. This matchup will be his chance to do exactly that and avenge his previous loss to Washington. Name: Imperial Washington Record: 22-12-2 SYN Record: 9-6-1 Country: USA Manager: Marky Mark Notes: Coming off a 2nd round KO loss to Olsen last outing, Washington is looking to bounce back in a big way. Another big boy who loves to finish, and we can bank on this fight ending with someone sleeping. The Olsen loss snapped a 4-fight win streak which matched the longest of his career. These two fighters have squared off before with Washington taking the TKO victory over Bigg and he’s got to be confident he can do it again. Matchup: Washington has the skill edge here, but his opponent being under new management could be a game changer in this rematch. It’s also worth noting these guys last faced each other back in their HFC days in November of 2021. Joe Dinapoli vs Danny Danger Name: Joe “Levels” Dinapoli Record: 31-8 SYN Record: 13-6 Country: USA Manager: Igor Peixoto Notes: Dinapoli has found some power as of late, having finished his opponent 4 of his last 5 fights with the lone one being a loss to the champ, Randleman. Early in his career he was a mainstay at the top of CMMA with 12 consecutive title fight victories. Once he lost his belt, he made his way to SYN to play with the big boys where he continued to exert his dominance starting off 5-0 and capturing the title before the Tycoon Olympics set him off course and starting his first ever losing streak in which he lost his belt. He’s been 9-3 since and looks in prime condition as he welcomes the newcomer, Danny Danger to SYN. Name: Danny “The Dandy Lion” Danger Record: 14-9 Country: UK Manager: Billy Arseworth Notes: Danger is making his SYN debut and what an opponent to welcome him to SYN. But he’s earned the right to take a shot at the top guys as he’s coming from Bellicose having wheeled off 6 wins in a row, the last two being title fights. The man has some absolutely devastating kicks already having 5 beautiful head kick KO’s, including the last two title fights. But don’t be fooled, he defeated Iso Paa during that stretch with an arm triangle submission which nobody saw coming, least of which Paa. He has a shot to walk into SYN and drop his nuts on the table and say “This division is mine!” with a statement win tonight. Can he pull it off? Matchup: This will be an absolutely amazing fight and I’ll be at cage side taking bets on who’s blood splashes my table first. Dinapoli has the skill advantage, but not by much. And Danger has been in this spot before and come out on top. This is simply a must see fight, and while not a “must win” for either, sure as hell is a very important fight to each and their title aspirations. Joe Exotic vs Aurelius Augustus 185 Title Fight Name: Joe “The Real Tiger King” Exotic Record: 26-10-1 SYN Record: 11-2-1 Country: USA Manager: Billy Arseworth Notes: No stranger to title fights, and no stranger to winning them. One of the divisions greats, Winton Todd, can verify that this man is the real deal. He’s beaten some of the best already in his career, highlighted by Todd and Hopkins. Name: Aurelius “Kaiser” Augustus Record: 22-4-2 Country: Italy Manager: Bael Basileos Notes: Augustus has been about as dominant champ at 185 as GAMMA has. He’s coming over to SYN for a super fight to take on Exotic as he’s plowed his way through the GAMMA competition. Ranked #11 in the world, and likely would be higher if he had stronger competition at GAMMA. If he can pull off the win against Exotic who’s ranked 12, it should be enough to bump him comfortably into the top 10. Matchup: These guys are neck in neck in the P4P rankings and just about deadlocked in skill sets too. While Augustus has a slight Muay Thai edge, Exotic has the BJJ advantage. But make no mistake, neither of these guys are going into this fight looking for a submission win. Tacitus Kilgore vs Ernest Graves 155 Title Fight Name: Tacitus Kilgore Record: 37-13 SYN Record: 5-0 Country: USA Manager: Billy Arseworth Notes: Kilgore has been all over the world and dominated every organization he’s fought in. A Hall of Famer from his days at SFL, and rightly so. He’s currently the #3 P4P fighter in the world, and far and away the top fighter at the Lightweight division. Currently on a 7 fight win streak that includes 3 title wins at Combate as well as 3 title wins at SYN. The man is on a roll and has no plans to relinquish his belt to the 40 year old Graves. Name: Ernest Graves Record: 43-32-2 SYN Record: 7-12-1 Country: USA Manager: Arthur Vandelay Notes: One thing to point out is this record at Synchronicity. While the record appears dismal and some might question why he’s on a Supernova card, his record has improved of late. Since he re-joined the SYN roster, he’s 4-2 and earned this fight in his last bout as he defeated Miami Vice. I guess he’s a bit like fine wine and is improving with age. Matchup: Another pretty even match up when it comes to skills. Kilgore has a slight edge in Muay Thai, but gives up that same edge in BJJ. But if you’ve seen Kilgore fight, you know he doesn’t give a damned about grappling in the cage. He saves that shit for the ring girls after a big win. Graves is 40 years old and most would be on the decline at this point, but he’s just getting better and better with experience. A year ago, I would have given this fight to Kilgore without question, but as it stands today, it’s anyone’s fight to take. Red Greene vs Balin Trollslayer 265+ Title Fight Name: Red “Love Machine” Green Record: 14-3 SYN Record: 4-0 Country: Canada Manager: Kaylynn Lee Notes: One of our fighters to come over from Highlands who’s been dominating the whole way. He’s putting his belt on the line in this one and seems he should be flying high with his recent success, but for some reason his morale has slipped a bit. Perhaps some behind the scenes drama or a scuffle with management, but whatever the reason he doesn’t have much time to get his head in the game. You don’t win a title without high morale and good focus. And as of right now, he’s not peeking. Name: Balin Trollslayer Record: 33-7 SYN Record: 2-2 Country: Australia Manager: Blaze King Notes: Trollslayer is another decorated veteran from Highlands. He was a long time champion there but lost his title in his SYN debut. His SYN record is only 2-2, but one of those fights was a cross promotion fight against the legendary Kilo Maluga and the man had to have balls of steel to step into the cage with that monster. His loss to Tarver in the SYN debut was via submission as he got caught while demonstrating his renown GnP ability. He’s chomping at the bit to get a shot at Green and get that belt back. Matchup: Trollslayer has the skill advantage across the board in this one. Green’s striking is abysmal in comparison to Trollslayer, but neither guy is a pure striker. But these guys match up well on the ground with Trollslayer having the slight edge, so perhaps the striking will be the gameplan that Trollslayers uses to re-capture his title. Because once this fight goes to the ground, it’s anyone’s fight to take. Randy Randleman vs David Choke 205 Title Fight Name: Randy Randleman Record: 33-11 SYN Record: 13-4 Country: USA Manager: G Wad Notes: The dancing Randleman currently sits at #4 P4P in the world and #1 in the light heavyweight division. He’s won 7 title fights in his time at SYN and only lost 1 title defense which he quickly bounced back from and recaptured. He’s represented SYN at a cross promotion fight at Combate where he did us proud and defeated Valentin Taneyev via TKO in the 5th round. The man is a winner, and he’s won titles everywhere he’s been. Currently riding a 5 fight win streak highlighted by wins over Aaron Wolf and Joe Dinapoli. Name: David Choke Record: 25-12-1 Country: Sweden Manager: Shape Shifter Notes: Choke is coming over from SMASH to take a shot at Randleman. He’s won his last 6 in a row at SMASH and 5 of which were for the belt. He’s one of the most skilled grapplers on the roster and will be looking to use his BJJ advantage to stifle Randleman’s KO power. Matchup: Choke may be the cream of the crop at SMASH, but these are different waters at SYN. He will have an edge on the ground, but he has to get the fight there in the first place and Randleman will not make that easy. Randleman is far and away the better striker, so look for him to keep his distance and try to pick Choke apart and open him up for the money shot to end the fight. He knows that if this fight goes to the ground he’s fighting an uphill battle, so he’ll need to score points where he can just in case he doesn’t get the finish and this one goes the distance. But if Choke has his way, he’ll be choking out Randleman and walking away with bragging rights. Kilo Maluga vs Kjetil Olsen 265 Title Fight Name: Kilo “Bloodbath” Maluga Record: 57-12 SYN Record: 44-8 Country: Kiribati Manager: Chris Karter Notes: Notes? It’s fucking Kilo Maluga, the #1 P4P fighter in the world and has maintained that status for quite some time. The man has 44 wins in SYN, all by way of knockouts. It’s obvious to anyone reading that he’s my current favorite fighter to follow, but the man has accomplished so much in his career that I lost track counting them. He’s the Tycoon Olympics champion, the SYN mainstay champion with 42 title fights (at SYN) under his belt with only 7 of them resulting in defeat. I could go on and on about the prowess of Kilo, but you can simply watch one of his fights and learn everything you need about him. He’s currently riding a 9 fight win streak and once again headlines the biggest MMA sporting event in the world. Name: Kjetil Olsen Record: 26-11 SYN Record: 4-3 Country: Norway Manager: Crazy Horse Notes: Olsen has faced Kilo before in a title fight back at SYN 959 and fell victim to the devastating power that Kilo possesses. He’s since won 3 in a row and flashed his own KO power himself, and he’s looking to shock the world and finish Kilo in this one. Matchup: Let’s be real here, this fight will not go to the ground until one of these guys are sleeping, but these guys are a carbon copy of skill sets, mirroring each other across the board. Kilo has more experience, by far, and has displayed more KO power than any fighter I’ve seen in recent memory. So Olsen will be fighting an uphill battle as he has to watch out for that power shot. But Kilo is not invincible, and anyone can land that big shot to put their opponent to sleep, especially when it comes to the big boys. And speaking of big boys, Olsen towers over Kilo coming in at a whopping 7’4 ½” giving him a significant reach advantage over the 6’5 Kilo. But, as we see from their first fight, Kilo can reach that chin and to do anything else would shock the world. Thank you for tuning in to this Synchronicity Supernova XIII event preview. As you know, Supernova is the epitome of the MMA world and there’s no other event that comes close. With cards like this, and fighters like these putting it all on the line, it’s a blessing to be able to be a part of the rich history you guys bring to this great org and this special line of events. As we move forward into the future, I will continually work with Mr. Stacks and the amazing staff to continue bringing you great content and fight analysis.

Knox falls to his knees and Maluga doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over! Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kilo Maluga! Maluga moves in close and cracks The Barbarian with a massive right hand! The Barbarian, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Maluga! Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). What a knockout! Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kilo Maluga! Johnson walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Johnson limp body while Maluga jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout! Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kilo Maluga! Legend Killer "Kilo slayed legends of the Syn' Heavyweight division and ended some of the most impressive win streaks of all time. He carries Syn' on his back and I'm riding his coat tails. He's the undisputed GOAT and I've seen him shower, once. Best day of my life." @Icon73 Slice is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Maluga doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Slice crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Slice's bad books for that mishap! Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kilo Maluga! Maluga drops Tower with a big left hand! Tower is injured, injured bad! Maluga jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over! Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kilo Maluga! Piano gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Maluga points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Piano wakes up just in time to hear Maluga thank his coaches in the post fight interview. Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kilo Maluga! The End! The reigning P4P #1 fighter and future Syn' Hall of Famer has collected more skulls than Conan. He's bagged more bodies than Rambo. You might have seen a couple names on there more than once, but that's only because Kilo's so nice he did it twice. He's clobbered more Belgium hookers than a methed up Hitler. Maluga lands an uppercut out of nowhere! McNasty falls backwards - clearly groggy! Maluga dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish! Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 5, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kilo Maluga! What was that? Oh, nothing. Just Kilo beating the shit out of some street urchin Was that his trademark "Jackhammer" uppercut? Oh yes, he really jackhammered him right there, didn't he? 3. I'm looking for someone wanting to start a feeder org/sister org, or even an ID org, it could be an existing org wanting to partner up and join the Syn family or you can start fresh. Or if you're looking to sell an existing org we can discuss that, I have a guy ready to take over immediately. I'll help with sending fighters over as well as some start up cash or just to help with every day operations. I do recommend hiring a partne or a few staff members to help out and you must be active. Also if your interested in joining the Syn family with another company in mind we can work that out, Nutrition, clothing, gym im willing to discuss it all. Thanks and please get in touch with me in game.
  4. At the time of this forum post Synchronicity has successfully set up a bout between the top 2 pound for pound fighters in the tycoon universe! First up representing EMPIRE! The 6'11 knockout artist from Toronto Ontario Canada! He is the current EMPIRE Heavyweight Champion Iain "The CN" Tower! His opponent representing Synchronicity! The man who beat Kimbo Slice in his company debut! He is the current Synchronicity Heavyweight Champion, Wesley "Cabbage" Correira This fight is sure to be fireworks and we can't wait until the 25th of May for Syn 632: Correira vs Tower!
  5. The annual event that truly created a Superfight feel in MMA Tycoon is back once again, with the 8th iteration of the event scheduled to take place in Wombley Arena, London on the 28th April. I was gonna post this on the 1st April, but ya know, April Fools and all that so I steered clear of most things. We'll be putting together a Video Package for the event, alongside a Full Event Preview + Review with Fighter Interviews for those competing on the card. All 10 spots on the card are still to be filled, but the real question I am pitching to the MMA Tycoon Community here is.... Who do you want to see go head to head from the world of MMA Tycoon? Mordecai Sackett has gone on to win the Syn Lightweight championship since moving up to the division, Russell Tyrone Jones has made it clear he is gunning for the biggest names in the Middleweight division, Evil Nixon has remained undefeated in Syn for the past 8 months, and Kimbo "Dark Killer" Slice has emerged as the most fearsome Heavyweight / Super Heavyweight fighter following his 2-0 victory over 2017's Fighter of the Year in Kajun Puno in their Best of 3 Series. There are many more names in Syn that will be looking to get on this card, and we will look to organise the fights that the MMA Tycoon Community want to see. So feel free to post your suggestions, fantasy book to your hearts content, and we look forward to producing one of the best events in Synchronicity history.
  6. With the upcoming time likely leading to me having less time to be able to spend on the game - Syn is now looking to hire some people to it's staff. Gonna do this all Job Listing like just so most of the questions get answered outright. What will you get for this? If you have no previous org experience, I'll bring you up to speed on everything org related you would need to know - Including Contracts, Matchmaking, Event Booking, and PPV Mechanics If you have Org Experience, you'll be a part of the most iconic org in MMA Tycoon history - While also earning some Tycoon $ for your time with the org which we'll work out. In addition - Should you leave Syn at any time for whatever reason, and run your own Fight Org, I'll help you in any way I can to get up and running. Responsibilities While I'll still be overseeing pretty much everything in the org, things such as Matchmaking and Contracting New Fighters will be part of your job in the org. Matchmaking is the main thing I will look for assistance with, but you'll also have a role in any part of the org you want to know more about. Ideally, you'll be on the game pretty often in order to have communication with me, be eager to learn, and be able to give feedback yourself and bring new ideas to the team. All In All What We Are Looking For 1. Able to learn pretty effectively 2. Be able to work as part of a team 3. Bring fresh ideas to the org 4. Not be an asshole 4( b ) - This auto disqualifies Humors You can send me on a PM, or even post in this thread, if you are interested in joining the org, and it's a pretty fun time to be a part of it as there are some upcoming plans for the org which should hopefully inject a bit of life back into the game.
  7. Syn' 562 Kajun Puno (#1 P4P / #1 HW) vs Kimbo Slice (#11 P4P / #2 HW) The #1 P4P Fighter and World Heavyweight Champion once again steps in the cage to face another hungry young lion who is ready to battle for the throne and make his claim as the Heavyweight King of the Jungle. Puno has been at the top of the P4P Hill for ages. He fights with the same Pinoy savagery as his father. During his reign as the King of Tycoon the 2017 Fighter of the Year has dismantled the Heavyweight division one-by-one and established himself as the GOAT. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/thumbnail/1268764048synlogo022.jpg Puno returns to Synchronicity with his world championship on the line against #2 HW in the World & Syn SHW Champ Kimbo Slice. Will Kimbo's size advantage be too much for the GOAT? Can Kimbo defend a takedown? Who has bigger cojones? Ultimately can the challenger avoid adding his head to The Champion's list of victims? Let's ask the World Heavyweight Champion what he thinks. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20170601204320Capture.PNG http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20120325031119synbeltnew.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20130727154002new-asc-beltb2.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20150503122605dms4rb.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15042037209588.gif @Puno_The_Goat "If he is big tree, I am small axe."
  8. Puno was looking for his next opponent. His next challenge. Many thought it would be Musketqueer fighter Soa Palelei. Some thought a rematch with heavy hitting France fighter Obelix De Gaul was warranted. And many people have been clamoring for a showdown with Gerbert Bryant who's been gaining a lot of weight eating hype from GAMMA cans. As fate would have it, none of these fights would materialize due to a series of predictable circumstances. Obelix De Gaul did what the French do best and tapped out. Soa Palelei did his best impression of Bob Sapp and took a dive. http://i.imgur.com/sSa85oE.gif Meanwhile the #5 P4P fighter in the world and #1 ranked Super Heavyweight fighter, Gerbert Bryant, is too busy chasing WWE-style mismatches in B-list talent pool organization GAMMA. http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y344/MichaelAnthonyHunt/Fights%20etc/Emanuel-Yarbrough-nearly-wrangles-Takase.gif Puno had a lot to think about. Jean Pierre Garcon threw his name in the mix but Puno was 2-0 vs him and beating him a 3rd time would do nothing for his legacy. Bryant seemed like a logical superfight but was too busy chasing the canned food he was being fed at GAMMA. He was 13-7 when he signed with the Mentor-lead organization, and he's undefeated against GAMMA level talent, his only loss coming to a Convicted fighter from Syn' who proved to be in a different league. Bryant put on a pathetic display vs Gymer Alexandersson, hugging his leg for dear life for 5 consecutive rounds in a decision loss and put on one of the most boring displays of mixed martial arts in Heavyweight history in his defeat. Puno gave a hard look at Monte Zuma, the #4 HW sporting a 15-6 record that just upset Obelix De Gual in a SHW title fight. ODG was French. Him tapping out and surrendering the victory to his opponent was something that runs thick in his genetics and ancestry, and despite it being the first official submission loss on his record, it was long overdue. Puno wanted to challenge himself. He wants to prove to the world that he's the best Mixed Martial Artist on the planet. He's laid waste to many high-level strikers on his run to the #1 headband, but he hasn't faced any high level submission specialist. It became clear that Monte Zuma, a black belt under Ramiro Hamilton, posed the biggest challenge from a technical standpoint. Is it the fight everybody wants to see? No. Is it the lightning meet fireworks meet dynamite stand & bang fest the crowd loves to see? No. Does anybody know who Monte Zuma is? No. But it is a true Mixed Martial Arts fight vs an opponent with a very different dynamic and technical threat than Puno's previous opponents. Puno hasn't faced a high level grappler in an MMA fight since CFC when he took on Samir Lemaitre, but Puno, confident in his own ground game, doesn't feel threatened by his next opponents high level BJJ or the fact he submitted ODG. "My job and obligation as Syn' champion to defend title vs all challengers." "Been awhile since I face a true grappler. As true mixed martial artist, I feel it poses a challenge and threat I haven't had to prepare for in long time." "Last opponent that grappled, Jean Pierre Garcon, a purple belt. He should know better, Puno could of smashed face but decided to display Jiujitsu and teach lesson." "Zuma is high level BJJ specialist in the cage. Dangerous on the ground, without doubt. But I am high level grappler and brown belt under Pluto Palhares (I used to be black belt, but they take away from me when I decide to punch people in face more)." "He is first person to submit ODG, but ODG is France fighter, and he did what his countrymen do best, surrender." "I compete in TWGC. I submit red belt, I submit black belts, I am silver medalist at TWGC tournament. I can't wait for him to dive into guard and I get to remind the world of submission ability."
  9. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1415893171image.jpg As many of you are finding out the news of Lil Wayne deciding it was time to hangup the gloves, Synchronicity has been left with a small issue of seeing their Lightweight Championship belt vacated. Now with Syn needing to crown a new Light Weight Champion, Management has been giving consideration to different options on how to fill this void. Currently the overwhelming idea which is standing out is the option to hold a tournament to crown a new champion. In order for this to be achieved we will need to pull from other divisions within Syn or bring in some new talent from abroad. Both options are going to be looked at closely as we come up with the most talented group of fighters to battle it out to become known as the inaugural winner of Synchronicity's... http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z343/rjs2442/366Degrees-Heir-to-the-Throne_zpszsq5j5nm.png "Heir to the Throne" Tourney... 10. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1415893171image.jpg As many of you may have wondered with his recent exit from the company, the current Synchronicity HW Champ and Tycoons #1 P4P fighter has decided to take a leave from professional MMA. Synchronicity has been left with a small issue of seeing their Heavyweight Championship belt potentially be vacated. The hope is to see Kajun Puno defend at least one last time but Louie will need more time to convince Mr Karter on such an idea. With Syn needing to possibly crown a new Heavy Weight Champion, Management has decided to hold a tournament just like we have done with our Light Weight Championship. The original Heir to the Throne tourney has been nothing short of a grand success however for this to work in our HW division our roster is in need of an infusion of talent if we want to see this be as successful as our inaugural Tourney. Our hope is to assemble the most talented group of fighters to battle it out to become known as the second winner of Synchronicity's... http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1505688623HTTT.jpg "Heir to the Throne" Tourney... 12. BIG NEWS : Finally the media have been able to talk to Fabian Hoi, the norwegian prodigy! http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14291980811949.jpg Fabian Hoi For the first time in the history of his career, Fabian Hoi has accepted to talk with the MMA media. There has been a lot of talk about him and he thinks it's his time to talk now. Find out more about the norwegian MMA prodigy in the following interview. ---- Hey Mr. Hoi! It's great to finally see you in person and being allowed to talk to you! Likewise. I never really was informed by former managers that it is interesting for a fighter to promote himself. My manager Bjorn O'Donnel has changed my mind about that and learned me that in this modern age, it's actually important that the world knows about you. It certainly is! Does that mean that we will here more often from you? Yes indeed. As long as my agenda allows it, I will try to keep my fans and the media informed on my progress as a fighter and how my life is going. There are a few interesting facts about my life that nobody knows about and I would love to talk about later. That's great news! Just one thing. Don't ever reach out to me again. I am the one who choses when I talk to the media and not vice versa. ( The reporter is clearly intimidated by emotionless face that Hoi has during those hard words and decides to try and lighten the mood a bit) I heard that you are really enjoying NY . Can you tell us a bit more about that? Hmm, ok. Well , I can't say that I enjoy NY as a city really, but I enjoy the quality gyms that the city offers. I train in my manager's gym - Bjorn's Elite Team- and also in - River's Edge Gym-. Both have been great places for me to improve my skills and I have been getting a lot of great training lately. The results of my hard work are clear. That's the least one can say! You have been doing great your entire career so far and haven't been looking any less lately at all. How did it feel to make the jump to the big leagues with your new manager? It feels great! Me and my manager decided that the only place were I belonged was a top org. I got like 20 contract offers, but choose Syn , as they gave me good pay and are legendary org with great staff. It was not easy to let down some other orgs that my manager likes as well, but in the end it was a good decision to choose for Syn for sure. You had 2 good victories in your first fights in a top level org. Did these fights played out the way you wanted or is there something you would have liked to see differently? My first fight was against a dangerous KO fighter, but I proved to be dominant during the fight and got an easy decision victory. I would have rather seen a KO win, but that's life I guess. In my second fight in Syn, I got another easy decision victory, but it must be said that this guy is only 22 years old and has the potential to be an absolute monster. I wouldn't be surprised to meet him in the cage later on again. He has the potential to reach the top as he is highly skilled and has a granite chin. He will be happy to hear that I imagine. How are you liking ITFL so far? The tournament has the potential to be great. There are almost nothing but great fighters/managers in it and GBK seems to be working hard to make it a big hit. I hope that the previews etc keep coming as they are very enjoyable to read and are a big extra value for the tournament if you ask me. What do you think of your team? Are they strong enough to get very far? Oh yes they are! We have a great team and will only get stronger as the tournament goes on. We work together very well and are a very complete group of fighters. In the first round it were the 170lbs fighters that got us the win, but don't be foolish to count our heavy guys out yet, as they have some big potential! There is one HW on my team that I have seen train and I can guarantee you that he is going to tear everyone up that stands in his way! Our team got an upset 4-3 victory in the first round against the favorites, so that already shows that we are not looking to be just an average team at all! That certainly was a big win for your team, but what said then about your win over Yates! That was some crazy stuff man! Haha, thanks! I must say that not much surprised me. I knew that Yates was a very tough opponent, but I trained extremely hard. Yates told me that he would keep the fight standing a week or so before the fight, but I knew that wasn't going to happen. I would dominate him standing and he knows it. His only chance was trying to get me to the ground. Guess what, I knew that and adapted my gameplan accordingly. I dominated him the first round standing and knew that he was going to need to take me down and so he did in the second. He tried to get a kimura twice, but I wasn't going to let him get it. Yates understood that it wasn't going to work and then changed to trying to gnp me, but I got hold of his arm and seconds later he was tapping. Crazy finish and I am very proud of it. That was crazy indeed! I guess some 170lbs fighters are pissing their pants right now . I'll bring some toilet paper along every fight that they can have if they are too scared, so that they clean their pee up. Haha, that's awesome! Who is your next opponent? A guy called Nomo. I don't really care who is next. I will accept the fight offer when I get it and then I will scout him and set up a plan to make him fail miserably as well, just like my last opponent. I heard that you received 'Sub of the night' award for your amazing submission win over Yates. I haven't seen it on your record yet. What is going on? Honestly, I don't know. My manager confirmed that he got the money, but he doesn't want it. It's my money and it's my price. My management team has messaged GBK and hopes to hear from him about the award. I want that award . My manager has sent back the cash as he doesn't want it. All that we want is that I can get that award that I deserve and that it's official. He announced it, but hasn't published it for some reason. Strange. Hopefully you will receive it soon. You certainly earned it! Thank you. ( gets a text message) Maybe we should end it here as I already have taken away a lot of your time and I understand that you are a busy man. Ah yeah, the message isn't work, but more like fun orientated. I'll explain it later to you , but not right now. Anyway, you are correct, I must leave. I don't want to be late for training, or I'll have to run some extra laps and that sucks! Have a great training session Mr. Hoi and I wish you good luck for your next fight! Thanks man, I appreciate it!
  13. As all of you know, Syn legend and olympic gold medalist Santiago Colon retired at the age of 34 after defending his Syn MW belt succefully again early february. A sad moment for the sport, as it always sucks to see a legend hang up his gloves, but we can't blame him as I've been to the Bahamas before as well and must say that it's tempting to not want to stay there. The Syn-staff wants to thank Colon and his manager Duphus, both absolute legends of the sport, for having been such a pleasure to work with and look forward to seeing some of his stall come to Syn again in the future. Congrats on all your achievements and we look forward to what the future brings! As Colon retired, he vacated his belt, what made that a lot of hungry challengers were thinking ' what is next? '. Well, what is next is a big tournament, purely for the 185lbs division of Syn. In a royal tournament with our fighters, the next kingpin at 185lbs will be determined. http://i68.tinypic.com/28bqwt5.jpg Extra good news for the fighters; they won't fight with tournament pay ( lousy 5k, 5k, 5k as often is the case), but will fight on their regular pay and also get the chance of winning the grand price of 1milllion dollar for winning the belt if they win the tournament !! The entire division has been messaged last week and all are very interested in taking part. The top 16 ranked guys will be in it and very soon the list of participants will be posted here , together with a list of the random draw for the tournament. TIME FOR SOME MIDDLEWEIGHT MANIA!!!! For those who are a bit new to the game and don't know who Colon is, lets give you a short profile of him: http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/31/31b1.jpg Santiago Colon Colon started his career at 170lbs , but would go on to fight most of the time at 185lbs, a division he dominated for the last year. Known for his KO power and amazing chin, this destroyer would already early on show glimpes of greatness, as he already became champ at the age of 20. After a loss at a young age still, his manager parted ways with him and he was picked up by the man, the myth , the legend, Ruphus Duphus . Under his wings, a yourney started that will go down as one of the greatest of a long time. Colon would go on to become the Syn champion, defend his belt succesfully 3 times, all finishes and would go on to become the gold medalist in the olympics at MW as well. In the final of the olympics, he took on the guy who many consider the future of MW, Rockmeteller TOdd and showed him that Colon still reigns supreme. Colon retired at the age of 34 , having achieved all his dreams, and retired with a pro record of 31-9-0 and as the Syn MW champion. He is know enjoying life on a party-island, surrounded by luxury and women that we can only dream about...!

  15. As previously discussed the Olympics will now be held to try and coincide with the OTY awards. This year we have seen some top tier orgs merge with top orgs leaving a gap in the market for new orgs to rise in their place. After much discussion with various managers around the tycoon community we have decided to offer three ID orgs a chance to compete at the Olympics this year. All three ID orgs are on the verge of ditching their ID restrictions or already have and between them have the best prospects the game has to offer. This also gives these ID orgs a chance to run PPV's which will increase the competition and increase their funds dramatically. The orgs involved shall be Claymore Elite Combat Evolution Insanity Montreal Fight Night Synchronicity Troid Team Thomas Fight Club Ultimate Proving Grounds As before every org will host one division which will be selected at random to ensure that each org has a fair shot at getting one of the more desirable divisions. Each org will send one fighter from each weight class 135-265+. Orgs may outsource a fighter from another org if they do not have a fighter who meets the right weight/p4p restriction. All fighters entered must be in the top 1000 p4p and must have at least one fight inside the org they are fighting in (unless an outsourced fighter). The weight restrictions are as follows (PLEASE READ THIS) 135 = 135 pounds or above. 145 = 145 pounds or above. 155 = 155 pounds or above. 170 = 170 pounds or above. 185 = 185 pounds or above. 205 = 205 pounds or above. 265 = 230 pounds or above. 265+ = 250 pounds or above. No fighter under these weight limits will be allowed to compete under any circumstances. Fighters may go on weight gain or weight loss in order to make weight, however the weight must be made prior to the first fight taking place, if weight is not made then the fighter shall be disqualified and the opponent will go through to the next round. The points system is as follows Gold = 4 Silver = 3 Bronze = 2 4th = 1 5-8th = 0 The prize fund is as follows 1st = 500K 2nd = 350k 3rd = 150k 4-8 = 0 The host org is responsible to pay the fighters this prize money. The contracts for the tournament are 15k-15k. We are shooting for a start date on either the 16th or 23rd of November. Orgs should try to get there team lists in by the end of October.
  16. Who do you guys think is the greatest fighter of all time? If you want you can separate by saying: Best Submission artist, Best wrestler, Best Knockout machine, etc.
  17. Who do you guys think are the most underrated fighters in MMA Tycoon history? I for one think that Tor Nansen and YB Sol are kind of forgotten greats.
  18. Thanks to Callum McGregor for the video! Very rarely we would seen in the world of MMA Tycoon a fighter breakout and become a star towards the end of their career but one fighter who is doing just that is 35 year old MMA Helsinki Hall of Famer Leroy Morris (23-13). Leroy Morris has been quite vocal in recent times and being eager to prove himself as one of the best Featherweight fighters in the world he not so long ago called out the legendary fighter Clint Lomax (63-20-4). Clint Lomax wasn't to be the only legendary fighter who wanted a piece of the action: Sadly for all the Martel fans out there, Charles Martel (57-26-2) didn't come close to winning EPL, picking up only 2 wins out of the 10 EPL fights. On the other hand, Leroy Morris had his hand raised at the end of his gruelling 3 round fight with Clint Lomax, with many now calling for the former great to hang up his gloves after adding another loss to his MMA record. With no fight on the horizon, Leroy Morris may well have been the fighter who "broke" Clint Lomax and Leroy certainly believes that's the case. "Of course I broke him, I see him at the end of the fight, that punk knew he lost it, he came out acting Mr Big Shot and got schooled by me and was lucky that one judge felt sorry for him. Fortunately for me, the other two judges were watching the world class performance I was putting on." When asked about the challenge of fighting Charles Martel for the BW Syn title Leroy had the following to say. "The only thing I'm scared of the most is the weight cut. I've never fought at 135lbs before but I'm confident I can make the weight. Why should I fear a has been? I'm the legend killer, Charles Martel is just going to be another name added to the list! He should have retired a long time ago, much like Clint Lomax. I'm looking forward to getting that Syn belt wrapped around my waist, proving that I'm the best BW fighter in the world." We have no clue who's going to be winning this massive fight between these two superstars but one thing we do know, Leroy Morris vs Charles Martel is a fight you do not want to miss!

  20. Greetings fight fans, we are here to to take a moment and look back and celebrate the career of one of the greatest fighters to make his mark on the Tycoon world in Sydney and abroad. This modern day warrior began his career fighting in mid tier Sydney based Orgs SEC & RCS before stepping foot in an AXF/BDU/Syndicate fight cage. It is very surprising to learn that when Dee first took interest in the world of MMA it was because he had gotten a job as a sparring partner at his local gym. Dee reflects back on that time in his life... Tweedle Dee: "I went to the gym for a job. I was a good wrestler in high school and saw an add in the paper for a sparring partner. I never dreamed I would ever find myself in a main event." Bawon Samedi, a mainstay in the Sydney fight scenes talks about watching his young protege Bawon Samedi: "I was a new manager just setting up a gym. I needed some guys to help spar with my fighters. Dee and his bother Dum came into my gym to help my fighters work on their wrestling. But Dee took an interest in some of the striking and picked it up fairly fast. I was lucky enough to get him a scholarship at an established gym run by a big name manager. Dee has been my best, I am sad to see him go." When looking back at the early days Tweedle Dee seemed destined for greatness as he began his Pro career on a torrid 10 fight win streak before running into former Sydney legend Kha Ri early in 2012. Dee's win streak was enough to earn him a shot at then Sydney's top prize in the Middleweight division as he battle for the AXF Gold. This fight unfortunately did not go the way he had hoped, or planned I am sure however it was nothing short of entertaining for the 18063 fans in attendance in Sydney's Superdome as Kha Ri and Tweedle Dee battled for 5 rounds ending in a unanimous decision in favor of Champ Kha Ri. We caught up with both Kha Ri and his former manager Feyd Harko to get some thoughts on Dee... Kha Ri : I remember well that Dee was from Sydney like myself. At the time, I already had a decent amount of fights, but there was a handful of youngs guns who were supposed to be the next big thing... Dee was amongst them, and the most hyped of them all. Kha Ri : His resumé was already impressive, but i knew i had the skills to beat him, and most of all the experience he didn't have... plus at the time, i wasn't that old (laughs). But seriously, i knew i had a tough challenge in front of me and was prepared for a war. Feyd takes a moment to give us some thoughts on preparations for their encounter with Dee... Harko : We knew he'd want the takedown... the plan was to break him, put his confidence to the test once he'd realize that for the first time, he couldn't control where the fight took place. If you rewatch that fight, that's exactly what happened. Dee still put on a great fight in the standup, but Ri managed to lands the better blows. Dee on Kha Ri - "Ri was a big fight for me. AXF was the place to be in Sydney and here I was fighting for one of its belts. I gave him everything I had. But his experience and skill was more than I was ready for." Following their initial battle these 2 warriors once again found themselves face to face a mere 2 months later ready, willing and able to go to war... Harko : We were as confident, but we were prepared for Dee to bring hell this time : suffering the first loss of your career changes a fighter for better or worse, and Tweedle showed after that first fight that he learned a lot of lessons and was coming back better than ever. Ri : The gameplan stayed the same, but it was much harder this time : Dee really didn't want to suffer another loss! (laughs). At the end of it, I honestly didn't know who won, and honestly, after such a great fight, i almost didn't care (laughs) ...it could have gone either way. After 2 hard fought decision victories we aksed Kha Ri if in his opinion, had he faced a tougher opponent during his career? Ri : I've had a storied career and a handful of losses, but in early 2012, Dee and I were the shit, the two best fighters from Sydney... He was definitely the hungriest of my opponents, and i was hoping to face him a 3rd time, but it never happened. Kha Ri also took time to reflect on the great career Dee has enjoyed... Ri : I remember he had a bad streak after our 2nd fight, but those were really close fights... he managed to rebound in a beautiful fashion and became the superstar we all know now. Being able to pull yourself back together after a few tough losses and beat the shit out of your opponents for such a long time after that is something i respect. Following the second hard fought loss to Ri Dee went on a bit of a tailspin failing to achieve a victory in his next 3 fights, leaving him winless in 4 and 5 out of 7 without a W would likely send most fighters off into the sunset but Dee took a month off, focused on what made him successful and went on a run in Syndicate that saw him win 7 of 8 fights including 2 against verteran Oswaldo Sanchez. We were able to catch up with Sanchez to get his thoughts on Dee and his 2 cracks at him in the Syndicate Cage... Sanchez: Going into the first fight I knew it was going to be a real battle, he was young, hungry and well rounded which makes for a great combination. I knew it was going to be one of the toughest fights of my career and that proved to be the case. The first fight was close, it was pretty competitive striking, if anything I just managed to edge it but the takedowns made the difference and gave him the nod on the judges scorecard. I knew in the second I couldn't go in there simply trying to outpoint him and tried to push the pace and be more aggressive, unfortunately I guess I underestimated his power and got caught, but hey, it happens. Following their second fight Sanchez talks about what he learned and took away from the matchup... Sanchez: I guess I took some positives out of it, it made me realise that in this day and age you need more tools to your game, and can't just keep going into fights with a similiar stand and bang strategy, I learned that I needed to evolve my game and start mixing it up more. Sanchez then took a moment to reflect on the amazing run Dee went on following the first round victory over himself and was followed up when he represented Sydney in the inaugural ITFL tourney followed up by of course a quick jab... Sanchez: I've got to be honest and say it surprised me, I knew he was a good fighter but for anyone to pull that sort of run off against quality competition is nothing short of incredible, fair play to him, although it was nice to see my buddy Veron be the one to put an end to it. Dee on Sanchez - "I was coming out of a slump and really needed to get some momentum. I was very happy to get the decision in the first fight. It really could have gone either way. But I think the only person more surprised than I was with the second fight TKO victory was Sanchez. After that win I really started to believe in myself." As stated above, the second victory by Dee began a run achieved by very few in the MMA world as Tweedle Dee took the ITFL by storm, defeating 14 consecutive fighters, a display of success many would not have been able to predict or even imagine. Along the way Dee ran into a man believed by many to be the butt of all jokes, a man who knew how to talk the talk but when it came time to walk the walk, he preferred to go nighty night. Yes if you havent figured this puzzle out by now, it is the one and only Artie Lange we are describing and lets just say he had some choice words to share with us...We asked Lange prior to his meeting during week ten of ITFL he had boldly predicted a loss for Dee ending his winning streak during the tourney, so we wondered just how silly did he felt when he through up a goose egg and the ref had to jump in to save save him? His response is nothing short of expected, and fueled by ludicris acusations Lange: The fuck you talking about man? Are you high right now, or maybe you've been heavily drinking. Dee is a bum and all he wanted to do in that fight was dry hump me into the canvas. Yea the fight ended with him being awarded the TKO victory but if you watch the replay you'll clearly see the vaseline he had rubbed all over his dick had managed to make its way to the mat. He didn't connect with a punch that knocked me down, I fucking slipped on that spot of vaseline! I cracked my head so hard I thought Dee was one of my usual escorts when he mounted me. That's why I wasn't fighting back or defending myself, Champange likes it a little rough from on top. By the time I realized what was going on I had already finished and the ref was calling the bullshit stoppage. Following the second round stoppage, amazingly Lange was much quieter then he had been in the lead up to their encounter, which was not unexpected however Lange has different ideas, unbelievable reasoning I might add on why that was the case... Lange: The only reason I was fucking quiet was due to the fact that Dee, pretty much, brought me to climax. Next question. We tried our best to reason with Lange, almost begging him to be honest with not only the fans but most importantly himself in regards to admiting he really had no shot in his fight with Dee... Lange: A shot? Are you fucking kidding me? I was well on my way to winning that fight bro. Dee was able to take me down in the first round and hold me there but without the vaseline slip in the second, which by the way happened when he was trying to dry hump me in the first, I was just about to expose that chump with my devastating power. Ask Antonio Hong about what these babies can do. *Lange kisses his fists and looks at them lovingly* We decided to end our interview with Lange with one final, yet very explosive question, asking Lange if the rumours were true that in comparison to his mediocre career Dee's success made him violently jealous and ultimately led to his retirement as he was unable to focus on anything but his shortcomings, I still maintain that Lange's bell was rang one too many times as his thoughts always leed in one direction, I am just glad he didnt go screaming "GRAPES" at me while trying top piece his thoughts together... Lange: If my career is your definition of mediocre you're one misinformed motherfucker man. I fought the best of the best bro and make no excuses for my losses. At the end of the day I know I gave it my all each and every time I stepped into that cage, I mean Dee, for example, only has 20 of his 45 wins via knockout. That's not even 50% bro, I finished 15 of my 17 career victories with a knockout which is pushing 90%. You tell me who the better fighter is. That's it I'm done talking about this creepy fucker now. Did I tell you he didn't wear a cup during our bout? I could feel his erection, all covered with vaseline. Still gives me chills. Dee on Lange - "Lange is crazy. I mean the man is certifiable. I don't know why they ever let him out of the cage. Lange is the kind of guy that after KOing you, he goes after your family." Not sure how we are supposed to recover from that display but next we caught up with Juan Sebastien Veron, the man who ended the amazing 18 fight win streak but more importantly ended Dee's dreams of ITFL glory, Veron described his thoughts leading up to and following their epic final battle: Veron: I think in this profession you always have to be confident, if you go into a fight thinking you're going to lose then most likely you will. I certainly wasn't over confident though, I knew from speaking to the likes of Sanchez and watching him myself just how tough it would be, I just know that on my day I'm capable of beating anyone. It was a great moment for me to get a win over such a talented opponent, especially since I don't think anyone really gave me a chance before the fight, so to pull it off was fantastic. Veron also took a moment to discuss the drama that followed his win among participants and managers alike from ITFL including Dee's manager Bawon Samedi... Veron:I don't think it was really disrespect or anything personal, mainly frustration really. It was unfortunate how the ITFL turned out with people dropping out but there was nothing I could do about that. I just wanted to help keep the tournament going and prove my skills on a big stage. Surely nobody wanted to go down the other route of advancing through the tournament with byes, but I totally get the frustration, it did take the gloss off the tournament a little considering I wasn't one of the original entrants. After all was said and done cooler heads prevailed, both fighters careers continued in Syn following ITFL with both men winning titles in their first appearances, we asked Veron did this in your opinion solidify both fighters legacy? I think Dee's legacy was already well and truly solidified at this point, the title victory for him just put an exclamation mark on it. For myself though it was great to add another title to my resume and prove it wasn't just a fluke. All but one of my defeats have been close decisons or stopped by a pesky doctor due to a cut when I'd gladly have continued, I think I've now shown I'm a match for anyone. Dee on Veron - "I let Veron control where the fight took place. Bawon told me to keep the fight standing. He gave me the wrong advise. I think that is why he lost and created a scene after the fight." Samedi on Dee vs. Veron - "I really screwed the pooch on that one. After getting Dee through so many tough opponents I dropped the ball on the biggest fight of his life. Veron is one of the greats, one of the toughest Dee ever faced. But with better advise Dee would have won that fight." Samedi on the forum fiasco - "Two huge mistakes in the same day. It was not the brightest moment in my career. I've learned to stay out of the public eye." Now we fast forward to what has aptly been titled "Curtain Call" as Dee will take his final steps inside an MMA cage and will face current Syn Middle Weight Champ Dragon Slayer, a fellow ITFL allum who much like Dee, has enjoyed many successes following that great tourney. We discussed with Slayer going into the ITFL individual portion you were actually ahead on overall points by 3, at anytime did you hope or even want to face Dee knowing the run he was on? Slayer: I was one of the younger less experienced fighters during ITFL tourney, I knew I had the talent to win the whole thing but was short on the experience and made a mistake in the opening round of the individual portion against Katsuro Sato where I got finished by a guy I just finished 3 weeks earlier. The mistake I made was I was looking to end it early again and let him get a TD and back then my ground game was seriously lacking and it showed. So at that time, Dee wasn't the greatest match up for me and probably was going to try and exploit my lacking ground game. I got hammers for fists and can take out anyone in my opinion and that makes me dangerous regardless on who I fight. Was I going to win or lose at that time? Hard to say as it could have went either way, but dee probably had the advantage at that time especially on the ground. Much like both Tweedle Dee and Juan Sebastien Veron following ITFL Slayer ended up landing in Synchronicity, we wondered aloud if he felt it was inevitable he would one day face Dee in a Syn cage? Slayer: If you plan on being the best, your pretty much going to fight all the best fighters so I expected that sometime our pathes would cross. It was really just a matter of if or when we both where close to each other in ranking at the same time but eventually it was gonna happen. We then posed the question to Slayer when you finally faced off against Dee, you lost the first round but then took over winning rounds 2 and 3 gaining the decision victory, how did defeating a former champion and great fighter like Dee make you feel Slayer: I knew as long as I kept it standing most of the fight, I had a better then average shot at winning. It felt good cause I think a lot of people didn't think I could do it. We concluded our conversation with Slayer by asking him to ponder the following the time is coming up where you will be a part of Dee's final appearance and his retirement fight, are you preparing for this meeting the same as your first or will you be looking at it from a new perspective? Slayer: I have rounded out my fighting style now and feel a ton more comfortable on the ground, so maybe I take him down and let him be on his back some for a change or maybe I just stand and bang with him. I'll make that decision when the bell rings. Dee on Slayer - "I think I was still rocked after facing Charalabous. The first time I faced Slayer. I kept clinching and forgot to follow through to the ground. I am not certain how we will play this upcoming match. Slayer has really rounded out his game. I am just honored to be in the cage with him again. It is a great way to end my career." Dee on Charalabous - "The boy swings anvils. No one has ever hit me that hard." Samedi on Dee retiring - "The boy has had enough. He really takes a beating every time he steps into the cage. If his body could take the punishment I would love to keep him around for another few years. He could have another run at greatness. I learned a lot managing Dee. I brought him in to teach my fighters how to keep the fight on its feet, and Dee taught me how to coach a ground game. We have been through a lot together. It is difficult to let him go."
  21. Well many of you are very well aware of my many run ins with Mentor and his outlandish hatred for everything Syn but in the past couple of days I have to admit to even myself I was blown away by what had transpired and I could not hold it in any longer, I just had to bring it to everyone's attention. But before I do so I would like to take a moment to reflect on our past goings on which has led us to the present... Back in late September of 2013 Mentor and I devised a plan, or a plot if you will to try and drum up some interest or hype in some events we had discussed holding in our Orgs. At first we were both in on the work, I admit to that and I also admit that looking back, maybe it was a dumb idea but little did I know just how dumb. Once announced the Tycoon world was abuzz with talk about a Syn vs GAMMA event soon to take place, unfortunately without my knowing Mentor had never planned to follow through and instead try and make me look like a fool, and lied his way out of the event, after we had mutually agreed he suddenly pulled the plug, and then blamed it all on me, when I was the one doing everything in my power to see it take place. I even tried this... to which Syn received this reply Which he never accepted, and ultimately blamed me for the downfall of this even though he puss'd out on it taking the back door to exit. Then came the Tycoon Olympics, when he took on his all high and mighty persona and once again bashed Synchronicity and new owner dark_soul originally for "pulling out' even though they never did... And then came the back handed insults... This was followed up by all the multi, cheating scumbag crap that I do not wish to drudge up so I wish to fast forward until early this week, when Mentor popped up in another Syn scandal, this time regarding the picking up of a FA... which led to this... Which then of course started the debate on Mentor feeding Bennet to his alliancemates fighter who happens to also be the LHW Champ in GAMMA, all well planned you would have to agree, no until JLP's thread derailed those plans... So by now I am sure some if not most of you are wondering where I am going with all of this, or why I am wasting everyone's time with old news...well following the explosion of discussion regarding the FA pickup by Mentor, I was suddenly greeted with an email, one from the manager of a certain top 3 LHW fighter...wanting to try and facilitate a fight between the winner of Syn's next LHW Title fight between Champ Devin Styles and Heroic LHW Champ Tiago Renato. Now even though this request came from the manager of the fighter I am fairly confident the actual request came from the man himself, Mentor asking endingcooper to do his dirty work for him as I am sure he is simply too proud to step up and ask Syn to work with him, we all know how that played out the last time... I am also confident, even though he has not stated this as fact, that Custer asked for this fight as he has no interest in fighting Bennet knowing the backlash that would follow such a sham of a fight, and for this I would like to offer endingcooper much respect for acting with honor in declining the chance to can out the hype built by JLP. Such an act left GAMMA without a fight for Custer, so they did what any other Org would do after bashing their rival time and time again...GAMMA asked SYN to bail them out. Yes, I am/was as shocked then as most of you who are reading this now are I am sure and I have to admit, based on the experiences of both Dark Soul and myself, neither of us have any desire to work with a cheat, nor would we ask any of our fighters to work with him either, so we struck a deal, a deal witht he devil perhaps...not a chance!!! (well after this post it may be off again) ... but we agreed to host the said fight in Syn, and as compensation we agree to send any LOD fighter of their choosing from Syn to GAMMA. Seems fair right, would you all not agree? They can work amongst themselves within their alliance to set it up so we do not have to deal with Mentor and Syn gets the fight that GAMMA asked for, win win I say!! Discuss amongst yourselves...
  22. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1363340514Logo01.jpg Welcome to The Synchronicity Six, where we will be giving you the chance to get up close and personal with Syn's last remaining warriors as they each make one last venture into the cage for Syn and the Tycoon Olympics. 5 fighters will be fighting to bring home gold and one fighter looking to add bronze to what has been an amazing Tournament for the fighters, their managers and Syn. First up is none other than Devlin Styles... Devin “Furious” Styles http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13945165273961.png Name: Devin Styles Nickname: “Furious” Weight (Natural): 205lbs Height: 187cm MMA Pro record: 25-8-0 Biggest Accolades: Former Syn’ 205 & 265 lbs champion Manager: Blunts Allday (record 14-5) On Friday the 4th of July, Devin Styles will be facing the man known as “The Holy Man”, Jensen Saint, in the finale of the Light Heavyweight division in the first MMATycoon Olympic Games. The two men will battle it out to be known as the best light heavyweight in the games and only one can emerge winner, taking the victory back to their respective organisation. Styles will be battling to take gold back for Synchronicity while Vatican City resident Saint will want to go home victorious to EVO. Syn’ will have to put a lot of faith into the younger Styles, as the 29-year-olds result this Friday could make a huge difference in where they finish in the final table. Styles’ has earned the trust and respect of the management and his fellow fighters, not only during the Olympic period with two impressive stoppage victories, but also during his time with Synchronicity. Since his arrival on the scene in Syn Styles has had 16 fights and during that time he’s won both the light heavyweight and heavyweight titles, with his biggest achievement being when he stopped the hype train known as Scotty Bennett (Bennett before his defeat to Styles was previously 27-0 pro record). Devin was also once the world number 2 pound-for-pound fighter after an impressive period of ten victories in eleven fights before losing his heavyweight title to “The Thing” Ben Grimm. It is unclear at this point what Devin has been training in the lead-up to this bout but with 21 of his 25 victories coming by (T)KO stoppages, it’s hard to see any other game plan that go for the knock-out. The only concern Styles’ may have coming in will be the ability of Saint on the ground but if Devin can keep the fight standing it’s hard to look past a Devin Style and Synchronicity win on Friday night. We look forward to seeing you all there and please send your best fan photo’s to the Synchronicity twitter (or Smack Talk page) in support of the Light Heavyweight hero! Written by Dan Milner
  23. On a hot summer day in Las Vegas, Syn owner Dark Soul (yes, that is his real name) is wisely hunkering down in his office to keep safe from patriotic Americans celebrating Independence day. He knows that his funny accent and teeth will make him a target of a drunken mob of slobbering neanderthals. Instead he is gazing lovingly at a picture of Devin Styles, trying to figure out how to make the first move. Soul is startled by a disturbance outside of his office and puts the photo on his desk just before his office door explodes inwards. Two men barge in the door, the first one Soul recognizes as MMA legend and linear Syn champ Kid Torres. The next man is former DSC fighter and Latvian heartthrob Edgars Simans. "What the fuck mate?" Soul cries out. Torres and Simans say nothing. Kid holds the door open while humors glowers at Soul. A whining hum can be heard coming from his secretary's office. A sick feeling starts to form in Soul's stomach as part of him remembers hearing that sound before. Fish and chips turn into a bitter cold knot of gross as it dawns on him....... JLP is coming. "G-g-g-g-g-get ooooouuuuut" Soul protests, but inside he knows it is too late already. He is trapped and he gave all of his security men the day off for the holiday. The whining gets louder as the all too familiar hover-round enters the room. Perched atop the laboring machine is a man Soul hoped to never see again. Breathing heavily, with gravy stains on his straining shirt, JLP enters Dark Soul's office, a triumphant look on his many jowled face and a .45 in his massive ham-hand. JLP pilots his craft straight into the desk at ramming speed, causing the desk to bounce back a few inches. Dark Soul dies a little inside as his picture of Styles plummets to the ground. "I wish Devin was here", Soul whines to himself, "I need you now my sweet prince." A pregnant pause comes over the room, beads of sweat break out all over Soul who struggles to not vomit in terror and revulsion at this monstrosity before him. Finally, JLP speaks, filling the room with the foul sickly sweet odor of his breath. "Dark Soul, you fool. Do you know why I am here?" Soul opens his mouth to reply, but JLP cuts him off sharply. "Quiet mongoloid. I'll tell you why I am here. I don't want your tiny brain to burst trying to understand the motives of a super genius. This is a hostile takeover. The most hostile of hostile takeovers." JLP turns to Kid and nods. Kid moves around the side of the desk and as Soul stands in alarm, Torres cracks the inside of Dark Soul's front leg. Dark Soul is a little confused. "If you dont play ball there will be more of that." JLP pants. "Que?" ponders Kid. Dark Soul, feeling emboldened by the lack of any power in JLP's bodyguard's kick, starts to feel a little tough. "Fuck you JLP, you wanker!" he cries. Kid Torres throws a leg kick but Dark Soul sees it coming and moves out of range. Torres is off balance and slips, he lands on his ass, the jarring fall knocking him unconscious. JLP and humors both have slight smiles on their faces as snores come from behind the desk. "Thats right you cbombs, now get out of here!" Dark Soul exclaims, feeling quite pleased with himself. "Or you two tossers will get what he got." An uncomfortable silence fills the room as JLP centers his icy glare on Soul. Soul's stomach churns and a dribble of piss goes down his leg as he stares into JLP's dead green eyes. "You fool, do you really think Kid is my instrument of intimidation? I feel sorry for that walking vegetable. He is here to amuse me only. These are my instruments." JLP says as he taps his sweaty forehead and waves his .45. "Although giving your security guys the day off made humors efforts to keister my pistol ultimately unnecessary but amusing." "I how a lot of fun doing it boss, and now this guy knows have far we will go." humors mutters in his dumb accent. "Quiet fool. Speak when spoke too." JLP replies and returns his gaze to Soul. "Well?" As DS' terror continues to rise, made all the more potent by Kid's labored snoring, he finally lets out a terrified squawk, "I'll do it, I'll sign Syn over to you! Just leave me alone! Forgive me Devin Styles!" A look of confusion crosses JLP's face, his many chins shudder in contemplation. "I'm talking about Dark Soul Combat." "Oh, really?" "Yeah, I wanted to take that over." "Why? I mean, sure, whatever. You could have just called and asked." Soul says. "Ok, fine. I just like this way better though, its more dramatic" JLP growls. "Fine, good. Please leave, this was kind of a dick move." "Sorry," JLP says as a way of apology. A new shean of sweat breaks out on JLP's face as he pilots his hover-round out of Syn's corporate HQ's, farting contently. Humors prances after him happily, he loves that smell. Dark Soul says a little prayer and pick up his picture of Devin Styles again. He weeps silently and tweaks his nipples as Kid Torres snores thunderously and dreams of better days.
