B2l 18 Preview

Another Saturday night, another Built 2 Last show at Wild Bob’s and this time it’s making me hungry. Named Dirty Doug’s Diner, B2L 18 not only contains the usual variety of great action at multiple weight classes but four fighters are fighting for metal! You’re going to get the same satisfaction of a belly full of burger, beer, and disco fries from Dirty Doug’s without the life shortening grease. The only life shortening will be going down in a ring as fighters put it all on the line for your viewing pleasure.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

155 lbs Travis Ramsey versus Angus MacAngus

The appetizer of Saturday night’s smorgasbord, lightweights Travis Ramsey and Angus MacAngus both look to bounce back from being finished in their last fights. On the feet, it’s a wash but Angus holds a significant advantage in not only BJJ but also experience with nine wins to Travis’ three. Ramsey must mix it up and stay away from the ground game especially since he lost his last fight to a Greg Bryant kimura. My prediction: MacAngus by submission.

185 lbs Bernardo “Shark” Lima versus Erik “Teddy Bear” Flugentaggen

I doubt Bernardo Lima thought his B2L debut would be over so soon to an imma truth headkick but half a minute is all it took. “Teddy Bear” on the other hand has gone 2-1 in B2L despite having rather similar skills to “Shark”. The outcome will boil down to whether Lima overcomes his doubts and whoever’s gameplan comes to fruition. My prediction: Flugentaggen by decision.

155 lbs Victor Dragonov versus “NO2” Asteroids Bombereem

Two losses in two fights painfully showed to Victor Dragonov that even being a remarkable wrestler can’t win fights without cardio. Asteroids makes his professional debut in B2L with a sizeable striking advantage that hopefully will match up to his explosive nickname. Every fight starts standing up but how long it stays there should determine the victor. My prediction: Bombereem by TKO.

170 lbs Luke Withers versus Jason Baltimore

Losing five out of six will put doubt into any man; journeyman Luke Withers must battle this doubt paired with a young Jason “Bring It On” Baltimore. Winning might spark a second run for Withers’ career but a loss might be the end. Jason can win this fight if he plays to his boxing advantage but his submission wins might mislead him to dabble in Wither’s strength on the ground. My prediction: Withers by decision.

265+ lbs Jason Voorhees versus Jorge “123” Murphy

Despite having power and strong Muay Thai skills, Jason Voorhees has been missing something that lets him translate those traits into victories. Whatever he needs, he needs to find it fast against a promising Jorge Murphy. Winning his first fight by KO demonstrated his striking prowess. The question in this next fight and the future will be if that’ll be enough in mixed martial arts. My prediction: Voorhees by submission.

185 lbs Timber Lake versus “Lusty” Julius Cesar Alcaraz

Eight more years of boxing training gives Timber Lake an advantage on his feet against Julius Cesar Alcaraz. “Lusty” will have to mix things up with takedowns to compensate, something Lake had trouble stopping in his last fight. But with these small gloves, one clean shot to the chin can bridge years of boxing training and end the fight before takedowns are even necessary. My prediction: Lake by decision.

155 lbs PierreLuc Beaulieu versus Tony Corner

PierreLuc Beaulieu and Tony Corner are like straight lines on a graph that intersect for one moment before they go completely different directions never to meet again. Needless to say, Beaulieu is the line going down fast while Corner’s line isn’t far up the Y-axis but it’s pointed up. With a Muay Thai heavy gameplan, Beaulieu can pull off a win here against the young Corner but his recent performances don’t bode well against the power heavy boxer. My prediction: Corner by TKO.

265+ Title Fight

265+ lbs “The Nigerian Nightmare” Emeka Shakur versus Heavy Hnds

Saturday night will not only find the best super heavyweight fighter in the world but also which of them has the heaviest hands. Heavy won the belt in his last fight against Chris Murney by KO and looks to defend in the same fashion. Shakur is a technically better striker with a moderate boxing advantage and a dramatic Muay Thai one. He’ll have to use both to avoid the champion’s punching power; Shakur’s losses have all come in some form of knockout or TKO. Needless to say, whoever wins we’re not going to be seeing a submission here unless it’s to strikes. My prediction: Hnds by TKO.

Co-Main Event

170 lbs Luke Downer versus Mikhail Chivitchian

Mikhail lost not only his last fight but the 170lb belt to current champion Beautiful Boxer. He was in foreign territory losing by KO; usually he’s the one putting people to sleep. Luke Downer stands in Mikhail’s path back to the title, hoping to use Chivitchian’s name as a stepping stone to his own title shot. Downer finds himself at a significant boxing disadvantage but does hold an advantage in Muay Thai and wrestling. But his trainer will deserve a raise if Downer finds a way to upset a contender of Mikhail’s level. My prediction: Mikhail by KO.

Main Event: 170lb Title Fight

170 lbs Dean Perry versus Beautiful Boxer

The welterweight division finds itself stacked with young fighters holding great destructive potential. Not only is B2L finding talented fighters, it’s finding finishers as shown by this matchup of undefeateds who between the two of them only have one fight going past the second round. The smart money is pointing towards a finish with someone probably going to sleep. Dean Perry has shown a bit more versatility winning his first fight by armbar, versatility he’ll need against Beautiful Boxer whose name tells all you need to know. Boxer will have a distinct striking advantage and just as distinct of a disadvantage on the ground. Will the fight last long enough to even go to the ground? Either one could be knocked out within the first thirty seconds. My prediction: Boxer by TKO.

I picked this fight as it was an evenly matched fight with the up and comer Frances LeBlanc. Leblanc comes in this fight with a perfect record of 2-0. His opponent on Techno Viking is coming of a loss and has a 1-1 record. I'm pretty sure Techno Viking was hungry for a win as he was trying to close in and clinch Leblanc. How ever LeBlanc wasn't really a touchy person as he swatted Viking's clinch attempts. While Viking was trying be affectionate, Leblanc was looking to break open Viking's face with excellent counter punches. When Viking realized that clinching didn't work. He tried another plan which was taking down LeBlanc. Guess what? He failed. LeBlanc also demonstrated great takedown defense as he stuffed Viking's every takedown attempt. As the round went on Viking was clearly breathing heavily. LeBlanc capitalized on it and put on the pressure. LeBlanc scored a brutal combination which knocked down Viking on the floor. After letting Viking stand up, LeBlanc throws a beauty of a right hand which knocks Viking out on his feet. A very brutal KO by LeBlanc.

WINNER VIA KO(PUNCH) Frances LeBlanc!

Now for our next fight we have a veteran Rich Thorburn against a young talent Brent McCoy. In the first round we saw an early takedown right into full mount by McCoy. McCoy demonstrated his wrestling prowess as he was very aggressive throwing vicious shots on the ground and pulling out sub attempts. Although he was very aggressive his efficiency wasn't there as he was struggling to control Thorburn. when the fight restarted Thorburn took advantage of the stand up as he was destroying McCoy landing lefts and rights. When McCoy got his second takedown he was already exhausted and couldnt do anything in the dominant position. The fight was stood up and Thorburn continued his dominance with his striking. Thorburn got the first round as he was connecting more shots. In the 2nd round both fighters were looking tired as they were already sweaty as hell. The 2nd round was dominated by Thorburn as he stuffed McCoy's takedowns and made him look like an amature eating shot after shot. It was a one sided round where Thorburn clearly won. In the 3rd round McCoy showed some life as he scored a counter takedown straight onto side control but that was pretty much it as he was already out of gas letting Thorburn pass easily to half guard where eventually Thorburn escaped. Once the fighters where back in striking distance McCoy was already done taking shot after shot from Thorburn. Thorburn was desperately trying to finish McCoy but he doesnt want to give up. The round came to an end where it was obvious. Thorburn dominates McCoy for a unanimous decision win.

WINNER VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION Rich Thorburn!

The next reason I picked the next fight is because... DUH?! ITS THE KO OF THE NIGHT. truth drops Mcdougall with a combination from hell. Don't worry Mcdougall there are a lot of positive things about this fight that you can look at.

1. you didn't lose that much energy which will help you improve your game.

2. punches = KO therefore punches = avoid = win.

3. you've got great hair which truth doesn't have so you win that one. :thankyou: :winner:

WINNER VIA KO (PUNCHES) imma truth!

CO-MAIN EVENT

In our co-main event, we have Ivan Sampiao go against Gregory St. Pierre. In the first round we saw St. Pierre trying to end the fight early as he was throwing sub attempts on Sampiao. St. Pierre were very aggressive as he was using all of his arsenal on Sampiao. Sampiao wouldn't let St. Pierre finish though defending well against St. Pierre's barrage of attacks. Although St. Pierre was the aggressor Sampiao controlled most of the action thus taking the 1st round. 2nd round Sampiao took advantage of the standup throwing flurry of punches at St. Pierre. Just before the 2 minute mark St. Pierre got the takedown into half guard after a minute of stalling the referee stood up the fighters and that is where Sampiao took advantage and rocked St. Pierre. Sampiao wanted the finished but the bell rang signaling the end of the 2nd round. Sampiao dominated the 2nd round with his excellent striking. In the 3rd round Sampiao definitely was looking to finish as he saw that he clearly hurt St. Pierre late in the 2nd. Sampiao was throwing combination after combination. In the 2 minute mark Sampiao dropped St. Pierre with a beautiful combo. Realizing St. Pierre got hurt, Sampiao throws a monster right hook that Knocks St. Pierre out cold.

WINNER VIA KO(PUNCH) Ivan Sampaio!

MAIN EVENT

In B2L main events dont disappoint. And (B2L) 17: Call the dentist is no exception! This fight was so electrifying it only needed 5 secs. before you get so electrified and you'll die! The fight just needed one combination from Emppe and it was all over! Emppe set a beast of a left and then followed with flurry of punches which crumples Carpenter alerting the referee to jump in and stop the fight. OMG! I just peed in my pants!

WINNER VIA KO(PUNCHES) Mahtava Emppe!

MAIN EVENT 1

In other orgs. they have main events and co-main events but in B2L we have TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIPLE MAIN EVENTS!!!! For our first Main event for Dirty Doug Diner will be Hnds vs. Emeka. Both really like to slug it out as they both have KO power in their hands. Hnds has proclaimed that his hands are the heaviest there are in MMA. Well we saw that one in this fight as he landed only one shot on Shakur(Those are pretty heavy hands dont you think?). Shakur definitely put a beating on Hnds combining head and body punches. Hnds really needs to work on his conditioning as he was gassed out before the 1 minute mark in the 1st round. Hands were throwing shots hitting nothing but air. I remember my coach saying "You can not hurt what you can not hit" whenever we were training and Hnds was a perfect example of that. After receiving numerous shots from Shakur. Shakur unleashed a right hand which crumples Hnds to his knees. Shakur's killer instincts kicks in and pummels Hnds with more shots forcing the referee to stop the fight.

WINNER VIA TKO(STRIKES) Emeka Shakur!

MAIN EVENT 1.1

In our SECOND MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING!!! yeah you heard it right! SECOND! We have Downer vs. Chivitchian. Mikhail "The human tounge twister" Chivitchian was really in the zone in this game. He was like in the "ima kill you! Ima KILLL YOUUUUU!!!" mode this night. AND HE WAS SCAAAAAAARRRY! Downer on the other hand was in the PUNCH ME I DONT CARE MODE. We saw Chivitchian rearranging Downer's face with punches landing 54 out of 56 shots. How ever Downer was really a determined and confused guy. Why you say? After taking so many shots he got the takedown then stood up. I was YEAH HE GOT THE TAKEDOWN!!! then :OMG: he stood up?! That was pretty much the end of Downer's night as Chivitchian scored with a combination following with an overhand right which was like a lullaby for Downer.

WINNER via TKO(Strikes) Mikhail Chivitchian!

MAIN MAIN EVENT

IN OUR MAIN MAIN EVENT!!!! WE HAVE BOXER VS. PERRY!!! When i came to the stadium i saw a poster with "Beautiful Boxer vs. Luke Perry" in the main event. I was "WOW LIVE PORN!" I immediately purchased a ticket and watch the great fights. When the MAIN MAIN EVENT took place I was as hard as a horse in heat! when the two "character" went into the ring i saw a muscular bearded man and a tall blue haired guy topless.... I immediately went soft... But hey... i saw one hell of an MMA fight!! I was amazed on how Boxer manhandled perry in the fight. It was a show of magnificent takedown defense. He sprawled at every takedown attempt Perry threw at him. Boxer then clinched Perry missing only one shot. Perry couldn't do anything after one minute of beating Boxer set up a beautiful uppercut which rocked Perry. Boxer put on the pressure for the referee stoppage.

Winner via TKO(Strikes) Beautiful Boxer!

B2L 19 Preview

B2L promises its 19th event titled "Quick and the Dead" does not mean there will be any actual sudden death in the ring. Pinky promise. We can't promise however that people won't look a little or even a lot dead from the knockouts and chokeouts sure to come on another packed slate of fights. Join me as I morbidly try to guess how ten people will lose consciousness on another Friday night at Wild Bob's Bar.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

265+lbs "The Tower" Tra Falgar versus Evo "Evito" Morales

Like last Friday, we're beginning with some big boys with one of them being extra big as "The Tower" is over 6 foot 7 inches tall. He'll have a comically long reach advantage being almost a foot taller than "Evito." But like they say, "the bigger they are, the easier the arm bar." Is that how it goes? Anyways if Morales wins it'll be by using his brown belt whereas Falgar's win will likely come by fists to the face. My prediction: Falgar by decision.

185 Fedor Obsut versus Nathan "Crusher" Matos

Middleweight Nathan Matos finds himself in the dark against a newcomer wild card he should beat but could just as easily lose to. Stacking the deck even further, striking experts consider Obsut to be essentially Matos with better and more well-rounded striking. That said, Obsut will be battling several months of ring rust in his first fight under the B2L banner against a seasoned veteran. My prediction: Matos by TKO.

265 Kenyon "The Shooting" star versus Stalin "Steal Mill" Starksson

Kenyon bounced back from his debut KO loss to win his last fight utilizing takedowns to score enough points to secure a decision win. I'd advise he not do that at all against his next opponent who debuted with a rear-naked choke win after two non-B2L submissions before that. Will Kenyon gameplan his way to another win or will Stalin explain why he's named the "Steal Mill" in a post-victory interview? My prediction: Starksson by submission.

265 Jake "The Spider" Batungbakal versus Poncho "Tinku" Rojo

A jiu-jitsu ace that wandered into MMA, Rojo showed the effectiveness of his discipline by coaxing a tap out of Tyson Storm at the beginning of the month. Batungbakal hopes to counter Rojo's grappling expertise with considerable Muay Thai skills, something he could not do in his his debut loss to Nigel York. If he can stay vertical, "The Spider" will have some easy prey come Friday. My prediction: Rojo by submission.

205 Peter Vulture versus "Headhunder" Hernandez Zatox

Peter Vulture's last fight began like his other two wins except not, scoring a takedown only to get kicked off, rocked, and finished by TKO. A standard ground and pounder, he will pit himself against the standard boxer in the "Headhunder" Hernandez Zatox. Zatox boxed his last fight to a decision win that revealed a gaping hole in his game: his takedown defense. Will he have patched it up by his fight against Vulture? My prediction: Vulture by decision.

205 "Mr Mombasa" Shanzo Miganzo versus Ricky "Americanzi" Stanzi

Ricky found out the painful way that the headhunters around here don't give up their necks to chokes before knocking you out. His only two B2L fights have been brutal TKO losses, and his next fight isn't any easier against a once professional boxer "Mr Mombasa" Shanzo Miganzo. 4-1 in his organizational career, Shanzo and his exciting resume, finds himself at the top with several others of a crowded 205 division. In the short term, a Kenyan should beat an American at something other than marathon running this Friday night. My prediction: Miganzo by TKO.

155 "Senor Sexy" Rodrigo De La Renta versus Adam "Snake" Silva"

Two much-hyped newcomers will make their debuts as one Muay Thai expert pops his MMA cherry in a hateful affair with a veteran from Canadian Cage Combat. There's been a lot of underground chatter about "Senor Sexy" and his sexy nickname despite having never fought once in MMA. Regardless, his striking is for real and sure to test "Snake" Silva who despite his BJJ prowess has shown to be rather well rounded, winning in a myriad of ways. My prediction: Silva by decision.

155 "Terror" Maximilien Robespierre versus Michael "Nucleur" Jimenez

Their unhappy nicknames rather fitting considering the abuse they both cause, "Terror" Maximilien Robespierre and Michael "Nucleur" Jimenez will compete to see whose nickname can win an MMA scrap. "Nucleur" is coming off a loss to the lightweight champion, a match he spent the majority of which on his back. He shouldn't have that problem against Robespierre who prefers to stay standing up especially in the clinch. A win against a title contender like Jimenez would give "Terror" another boost towards a title shot, while a loss would do the same for his opponent. My prediction: Robespierre by TKO.

Co-Main Event

205 Josh "Braker" Bernardes versus John "Unknown" Doe

If you asked either of these fighters where they'd like to start a fight, they'd probably answer "on the ground." Bernardes a brown belt, Doe a purple belt, one wouldn't exactly be making a bold prediction to say the fight will end in a submission. But this is MMA and Doe could steal a win using his slight boxing experience to win this fight. One slip up however and he'll be on the ground and on the receiving end of a creative "Braker" submission that varies in technique every fight. My prediction: Bernardes by submission.

Main Event

170 Charly "Max B" Wingate versus Alan "T-Bone" Ringseal

Your night will end watching the bitter face of a fighter who tastes defeat for the first time. Both fighters started their careers with a wrestling base but veered in opposite philosophical directions. Wingate has been focusing on striking and ground pound; Ringseal has focused on submissions with his kimura becoming a speciality. The fight will be an interesting litmus test for both, demonstrating how far along each has progressed. Expect Wingate to try to mix up his striking and takedowns to confuse Ringseal and tire him out. Ringseal on the other hand, will probably try to counter those same strikes to take his opponent down to grab another submission win. Knowing MMA, it'll be something completely unexpected like Jake Waldren by folding chair. My prediction: Ringseal by submission.

JOHN DOE

John Doe is an up and comming MMA talent who surprised the world in his last QFC fight by submmitted Muay Thai Champion Justin O Reily in less then a minute. He fights this weekend at B2l 19 against Jiu Jistu Ace Josh Bernanrdes. Here is a 10 minute Interview with him.

Who is John Doe?

John: Hahahaha, that's funny. My parents have a sense of humor there. My name is John Doe, yeah I know, it's stupid, why name your kid John if your last name is doe, but that's what it is. I live In quebec Canada, but I was born and raised in Toronto.

Why did you move from Toronto?

John: I guess it was the quality of the gyms here, and I wanted an adventure. Plus there were too many distractions in my home town.

Against your last fight, you were the heavy underdog agaisnt O Reilly and you basically a nobody before that, tell us how you feel.

John: Well, it feels unreal, I mean people expected Mr. O Reily to knock me out in less then a minute, but the fans tend to forget that the stand up is just a small part of the game. It felt good to just go in there and win injury free, and I am happy that the fans got to know me a little.

In your next fight you are the underdog again, and everyone is saying you will lose. How do you feel about that.

John: I trained hard, and I am confident in my skills. Everyone can say whatever they want, but nothing is set in stone, and nothing is impossible. I don't plan to just go in there get beat up and get paid, I plan to win, and I trained to win. I expect to pull another upset. I can't say that I will win, but I will give everything I have in that fight, and I am not afraid to lose.

What can you tell us about your opponent?

John: Josh Bernardes is pretty well known in the grappling community, the guys a prodigy on the ground no doubt. But this isn't a grappling match, this is an MMA match, and I plan to bring the fight to where I have the advantage.

Does that mean you will keep the fight standing?

John: It depends. I may take it to the ground if I want to, I am confident in my skills as well, on paper he may be the better grappling guy, but that's just in paper, there are so many other factors that cannot be seen. I don't want to reveal anything, but I think I got the gameplan to win this fight, and I know I have what it takes. So let's do this!

---------------------------------------------

GAULE CRIXIUS

Hey guys! TATAME talked to Gaule Crixius (2-0, 1-0 B2L), that fights next 26 on B2L 20: Bom-Ba-Yeh. He faces Han Jambon (1-0), that debuts on B2L.

"I told you before my last fight: I'm here to be the champion, no matter who I have to face I'll take everybody out my way."

"This is only my second fight on B2L but I fell myself at home. It's a nice org"

"He's a striker and me too, but in the end I'll be the one who will stay stand. I'm gonna knock him out!"

----------------------------------------------

HAN JAMBON

The hockey enforcer turned mixed martial artist, Han ``Maple Leaf’’ Jambon burst into the scene earlier this month with the stunning KO of Martin Lagermo. His friend and trainer Bobbie Masson spoke with Kevin Aole of the Whoohoo sports.

“I have never seen anyone with such raw talent. The kid is unbelievable. Hes like a sponge! There are some areas where he needs to work on but overall his learning curve is the best ive seen in more than 15 years training fighters.”

Jambon, star enforcer of the Titan de Laval made the transition to MMA after a disappointing first season in the NHL last year.

“`I have always been a fighter at heart. When I wasn’t fighting guys 2 years older than me or taxing nerds I was in the boxing gym training with my Dad”

Jambon is returning to the ring this week end where he will be fighting the very dangerous French fighter Gaule Crixius. Crixius made short work of his last 2 opponents with vicious first round knockouts.

“I don’t know anything about the frog I am fighting saturday.” Said Jambon. “All I know is that he’s going down in the first round”

B2L 20 Preview

Bom-Ba-Yeh! Decades later and thousands of miles from South Africa, you can hear the same chant all night during Built 2 Last 20 "Bom-Ba-Yeh." You're not going to find Ali in the ring either but you will find boxing and all other forms of legal Montreal-sanctioned MMA. Almost half the fights being heavyweight, Saturday's event should also clarify the 265 picture. Read on fight fans.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

155 Marco "Brick Shithouse" Brickowski versus "hands of pillow" Takanori Gomi

Sometimes you can judge how a fight's going to go just by looking at nicknames, compare "Brick Shithouse" and "hands of pillow" and tell me who will win. Not only having a more aggressive nickname, Marco Brickowski possess a striking advantage that should severely test Takanori Gomi's chin, one that failed him his last fight against a similar opponent in Allen Carter. Unless he's figured out a new gameplan, it should be more of the same. My prediction: Brickowski by TKO.

265 "Nature Boy" Jaques Cousteau versus Tyson "Thunder" Storm

In the first of four heavyweight bouts, one 22 year old will also have the first victory of his career. Both are seemingly mirror images of the other in style but also career losing their most recent fight to rear naked choke. Get a quarter out; we're looking at a coin flip. My prediction: Cousteau by decision.

265 Iskar "Whiskeyjack" Jarak versus Gedeon Nkuwu

Perhaps an event named in his native tongue will inspire more consistency out of Nkuwu. His debut marred by an inability to make 205 led to a No Contest; he followed that with a move to heavyweight and a decision win, only to lose his latest fight by knockout. Jarak on the other hand, hopes to continue his streak of first round knockouts, his latest against the veteran Charles Landsman proving he can hang with the big boys. Will he make his B2L debut with a splash that forces the other heavyweights to take notice? My prediction: Jarak by TKO.

185 Han "Maple Leaf" Jambon versus "The Undefeated Gaul" Gaule Crixius

I don't know what will happen to Gaule Crixius' nickname if he ever loses but so far he hasn't had to worry about it; he's won both his fights including his latest league debut by first round TKO. Han hasn't exactly been a slouch, knocking out his first and only opponent in 22 seconds. We should be in for a standup war kicking off back to back to back middleweight bouts. My prediction: Gaule by TKO.

185 Harry "Tamayo" Villegas versus Jacques Gillette

The first grappler versus striker battle of the night, it'll be a fight of down versus up. Down means Villegas will have another submission victim on his hands. Up means Gillete will have roughed a person up for the first time in his professional career. Who knew directions could be so exciting? My prediction: Villegas by submission.

185 Andy "Naturell" Sawer versus "Wolverine" James Logan

His nickname might sound like a facewash but his debut bout showed he can knockout people along with dirt and grease. I don't run anything here at B2L but I'm going out on a limb that losing his only three organizational fights means "Wolverine" will be fighting for his job on Saturday. Will it inspire him against a hyped fighter like Sawer or blow out the last candle of his fight career? My prediction: Sawer by TKO.

265 Michal "Złamas" Nielamliwy versus Kanu "Crazzy" Mitzucuik

With names that look like their parents grabbed a handful of Scrabble tiles and placed them in random order, Nielamliwy and Mitzucuik will fight for the privilege of baffling the ring announce twice in one night. Another striker versus grappler match, Nielamliwy will be praying his ring experience will enable him to manage a takedown to secure a submission against a striking expert making his pro debut. Otherwise, Michal will find himself knocked out by "Crazzy" who is probably tough and violent enough to justify the second "z" in his nickname. My prediction: Mitzucuik by TKO.

170 Remy "Olympian gold medalist" Garmin versus Georges "Leo" Dunston

His gold medal in wrestling hasn't helped Remy Garmin win in the B2L ring. Unable to generate finishes from his takedowns, his short time standing has led to two TKO losses. Lucky for him, his next match will be against Georges Dunston, someone whose heart isn't into fighting. If Garmin loses Saturday, he'll need to re-focus his training towards striking or go back to wrestling. My prediction: Garmin by decision.

Co-Main Event

265 Danny McGauffie versus Camillo "The Prankster" Starksson

Sometimes the color of your belt doesn't mean you can't submit people in MMA. Despite having only a blue belt, McGauffie has won his two professional fights by submission. He'll be tested on Saturday against a purple belt who's also won both his bouts by submission. Considering he's a bit more well-rounded, it'd be in Danny's best interests to utilize his well-rounded skillset to keep "The Prankster" off balance. If he gets arrogant and hopes to win through pure grappling (especially off his back), it'll be like purposefully cutting himself in the ocean with a shark like Starksson swimming around. Either way, it should be a hectic and exciting submission battle leading up to the night's main event.

Main Event

205 FkYou "InTheAHole" WithMyDik versus "The Grim Reaper" Gary Moskavony

"The Grim Reaper" looks to bounce back from getting his 4 fight win streak snapped in a title bout against Chucky Little. He'll fight a new face "InTheAhole," who comes in undefeated and riding high from a TKO win. The main event is a trap game for Moskavony, a win will hitch him back on the contender train but a loss will make him give up his seat to the newcomer. WithMyDik can't really lose in this scenario as a win over a contender like Moskavony elevates his hype while a loss is "to be expected." A boxing ground and pounder, he'll be entering Moskavony's strength if the fight hits the ground. Will he get enough shots in or will he get subbed like Gary's other victims? My prediction: Moskavony by submission.

In our First highlight of the night. We have star vs. Starksson. This fight didnt last long as Starksson got an early takedown. And what do we say when white belts get takendown? We see a http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/sub.gif after http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/sub.gif till we get a tap out. And that what happened here Starksson got the take down tried for an armbar at first then went to a triangle which he got tightly. star tried to defend but he eventually tapped out.

Winner via Submission, Stalin Starkson!

In our next fight we highlight a fighter who's on a roll. Silva is on a roll with a 2 fight winning streak. He was forward to stretch that winning streak against De La Renta which he did. In the fight we saw Silva take advantage of De La Renta's weak clinch game. Silva force the fight into the clinch where most of his take downs took place. Silva controlled De La Renta on the ground. De La Renta tried to do L n' P but it didnt work. The referee did not stand up the fighter cos' Silva was very busy in the ground. All three rounds went to Silva's favor winning the fight with some great ground work.

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Adam Silva!

CO-MAIN EVENT

Bernardes vs. Doe

In our co-main event of the evening! We have two undefeated fighters in Josh Bernades and John Doe. In this fight Doe was trying to test his stand up skills with Bernades. Doe did not attempt any takedown in this fight. In the first round doe was swinging wildly at Bernades. Bernades' game plan was to counter attack which he barely did in the fight. Late in the 1st round Bernades finally did something and went for the takedown but Doe defended well and got back up to his feet before the bell rung. In the second round Bernades got a takedown in the 1 min. mark. Both fighters were battling for position while Bernades where looking for submitions Doe reversed the position and passed to side control. Late in the 2nd round Doe decided to stand back up. Doe continued to swing at Bernades but couldn't land any shots. Bernades tried a couple of takedowns but didn't succeed. The 2nd round was pretty close but still the judges gave it to Doe. 3rd round was a do or die situation for Bernades as Doe got the two previous rounds. Bernades should get a submission or a KO to win but Bernades was already gassing out he tried to take Doe down but he didn't have any strength left. Doe cruises to a Unanimous Decision win over Bernades and keeps his unbeaten record.

Winner via Unanimous Decision, John Doe!

MAIN EVENT

In our main event we have undefeated wrestlers going at each other. We know wrestlers don't like to be on their backs so we could say that who ever gets a take down might win the match. In the opening minute of the 1st round Ringseal got Wingate into a clinch and got a takedown. Although ringseal got the takedown Wingate immediately got a sweep ending on top of Ringseal. Wingate took use the advantage to land some ground and pound. After a minute in the dominant position, Wingate decided to stand up. After standing up Wingate took down Ringseal where he tried again to Gn'P Ringseal. Ringseal then pushes off Wingate and gets back up. Then Wingate takes Ringseal down for the 2nd time. Wingate did not want this fight to go to the second round Wingate throws bombs at his opponent. Ringseal was rocked by the continued barrage from Wingate. Wingate pours more strikes on Ringseal. Ringseals taps out from the bombardment of strikes from Wingate.

Winner via Submission(Strikes), Charly Wingate!

BOM-BA-YEH

Our next event Bom-Ba-Yeh we have undefeated fighter Iskar Jarak vs. Gedeon Nkuwu. In this fight we saw Jarak swing with wild combinations hoping to KO Nkuwu early. His plan was perfect as he knock downed Nkuwu early with a combination. After the knock down we saw blood dripping from Nkuwu's face as he was also cut with the wicked combination. Jarak waves at Nkuwu to stand back up as Jarak was obviously confident with his stand up. Jarak again knocks Nkuwu down with a hook. After letting Nkuwu up for the 2nd time Jarak finished Nkuwu with a flurry of punches! Nkuwu really needs to improve his stand up as he was very vulnerable when standing up.

Winner via KO(punches), Iskar Jarak!

Our next fight is another KO reel. Jambon tried to test his granite chin against Crixus and he failed. Big time... Crixus made Jambon eat his punches like Jambon was in a punch eating contest. Jambon ate a total of 9 punches and a combination. Jambon's granite chin finally broke when Crixus hit him with a bigshot that knocked him down. Crixus poured in more shots. The referee then steps in to save Jambon.

Winner via TKO(Strikes), Gaule Crixus!

CO-MAIN EVENT

IN OUR CO MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIN EVENT OF THE EVENINGGGG!!! In this fight we saw McGauffie snap Starksson's unbeaten record with a fantastic knee to the face. McGauffie set Starksson up with a leg kick then a body kick following it with a beautiful knee right into Starksson's jaw. Starksson crumples on the floor with a bleeding nose and a broken jaw.

Winner via KO(Knee), Danny McGauffie!

MAIN EVENT

In our Main event. Dry humper WithMyDik go against The grim reaper Gary Moskavony. Let's see if "the grim reaper" can resist the humping style of mister Dik. In the opening of the first round WithMyDik got a takedown into Moskavony's half guard. WithMyDik Gn'Ped Moskavony on the ground while Moskavony was looking for submissions. After defending from Moskavony's submission and landing some GnP. WithMyDik stood up and countered a takedown attempt from Moskavony. WithMyDik found himself in a worse position in Moskavony's guard. WithMyDik continued his GnP while Moskavony was still trying to get a submission. WithMyDik dominated the first round with his GnP. The second round was almost the same as WithMyDik dominated Moskavony with GnP. Moskavony still trying to get a submission but was unsuccessful. In the 3rd round WithMyDik got another takedown and continued his relentless GnP on Moskavony. Moskavony is still working hard on the bottom as he was trying to improve his position. After multiple tries to go on top of WithMyDik. Moskavony finally got on top as WithMyDik made a mistake of going for a leg lock. When Moskavony passed to full mount the bell rung... I heard Moskavony crying on top of WithMyDik... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!-Moskavony. :suicide_anim:

Winner via Unanimous Decision FkYou WithMyDik!

Built 2 Last 21 celebrates legal US drinking in Montreal with more MMA action at Wild Bob's Bar. Someone Flying Dropkick me I must be dreaming, two title fights in one Friday night! We'll be seeing every weight class represented with the lightweight and light heavyweight straps on the line. Lemme go down the list to show you all the action to come.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

185 Jaws Bilo versus Alain "Coco" Martel

First shot of the night kicks off what should be a boxer (Bilo) versus kickboxer (Martel) strikefest. Both make their B2L debut coming off decision wins. Good chins on each means we'll probably be seeing a hard fought decision. My prediction: Martel by decision.

170 George St pierre versus Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter VIII

Losing two in a row prompted George St pierre to switch fight camps. Now training out out of Master Gym, he hopes the change in partners will reignite his career. He'll need a bonfire to propel him past Lecter who recently broke a two loss streak of his own with a TKO win over Remy Garmin. On paper, "The Cannibal" should win handily with superior striking but we just never know in this sport. My prediction: Lecter VIII by decision.

170 Reyes "Braulio" Zayas versus Brandon "Renegade" Steelhart

"Braulio" began his career the right way with a first round kimura. If he's watched any tape on his next opponent, he must be licking his chops. Though he possess decent kickboxing skills, Brandon Steelhart has chosen to grapple in most of his bouts often winning or losing by submission. Considering "Braulio" is a brown belt with kindergarten level striking, it'd be in "Renegade's" best interests to try to keep it standing. The question is whether he can even do it if he tries. My prediction: Zayas by submission.

265 Brock Lesnar versus Brock Lesnar

So in a burst of pyshic power today, I blacked out and woke up knowing the winner of this next fight. If you're a gambler, listen up. Brock Lesnar is going to win this fight. Well same name aside, they're actually rather different fighters. The 1-1 Lesnar strikes to win fights while the 1-0 one takes the ground and pound approach. Hopefully you're not listening to this one on the radio or you'll be a bit confused. My prediction: 1-0 Lesnar by decision.

185 Junior De Gonzales versus Wilson "Tarantula" Arruna

A 4-0 clinch grinder from the now defunct Canadian Cage Combat organization, Junior De Gonzales figures he can have the same success eating away at the wills of his new competition. Should be another day in the office for him against Wilson Arruna who while great on the ground is amateur at best on his feet. Who knows maybe Junior will slip and the fight will end up there? Otherwise, it's not looking good for "Tarantula." My prediction: De Gonzales by TKO.

185 "The Cobra Kid" Johnny LaRusso versus Tabor "Boy Galis" Nok

Sometimes the fact that everyone starts with an empty record isn't fair. Both "The Cobra Kid" and "Boy Galis" haven't fought a professional fight but their skills are miles apart. If we put this situation into a computer, Johnny would best Tabor 99% of the time. But you can't put a number on heart or chin and only Friday will tell who's got either. My prediction: LaRusso by TKO.

205 Gordy "TD" Nennings versus Adrian "allday" peterson

A bit of a grappling ringer, "allday" hasn't looked like a white belt winning his two pro fights by submission. Considered an all around striker, he'll be tested against "TD" a Muay Thai specialist who's won his only pro fight by TKO. Peterson's manager has already predicted a win so we'll see if that has motivated Nennings to put in those extra reps to show his opponent up come fight night. My prediction: Nennings by TKO.

265 "The Gentleman" Nigel York versus "Hype" Oleg Sladkov

My favorite fight of the night, we're going to see some old fashioned fisticuffs. Nobody should be going to the ground unless they're rocked or just plain out cold. A much better technical striker, "The Gentleman" Nigel York has shown us some striking clinics in the past but with surprisingly few finishes. "Hype" has been the opposite, winning four of his last five by first round knockout. This violent struggle between technique and brute power should be a great opener to the following title fights. My prediction: York by decision.

Co-Main Event: 155lb Title Fight

155 Max "Well" House versus Allen "The Shadow" Carter

A young undefeated contender, Allen Carter hopes he can make a Muay Thai miracle against the lightweight champion Max House. "The Shadow" is a kickboxing expert but is bested in all other areas by the champion who recently defended the title against "Nucleur" Jimenez. House has been undefeated since joining B2L with five convincing wins usually on the ground. If he can get it there again, he'll have his second title defense against an opponent with no real ground game to speak of. But the longer the fight stays on the feet, the longer "The Shadow" has a chance to steal a win against the cream of the 155 crop. My prediction: House by submission.

Main Event: 205lb Title Fight

205 Pit "Rock" Bull versus Chucky "Icecold" Little

In another fight unlikely to hit the ground, Pit Bull gets a second crack at the champion, hoping to prove the first KO loss was just a fluke. His latest win over Ricky Stanzi utilized a heavy dose of leg kicks to set up head kicks for a TKO win. That might be the right formula for "Icecold" as taking out the legs will destroy his boxing base. But so far, Chucky Little has been immune to every opponent the B2L matchmaker has thrown at him, winning every fight by first round knockout. There's not much to say about Little technically aside from the obvious fact that he's a brutal striker. He's also been able to keep every fight standing as long as he needs (which is not very long) to explode on someone's face with his fists. I have a feeling we're going to be in for some deja vu. My prediction: Little by TKO.

So Saturday night, what do you do? Of course head down to Wild Bob's for another sweet B2L card. Well good thing you're reading this because B2L 22: Where Legends Are is going down elsewhere at The Underground. But while you might have some trouble finding it, you can find the same weekly preview right here.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

205 Rado "Razor" McDonald versus Mike Frazier

Head on down early to find your seats or you just might miss the first fight of the night. Both Rado McDonald, a Muay Thai specialist, and Mike Frazier, a boxing expert, finish their work rather quickly; none of their fights have gone past two minutes of the first round win or loss. Time to break out your lucky quarter for a coin flip. My prediction: McDonald by KO.

185 Stephan "Rudeboy" Potvin versus IRONMAN "KILLER" GAB

Even though they're both coming off submission losses, "Rudeboy" is hoping this fight still goes to the ground where he'll have a massive advantage against "Killer." IRONMAN tends to prefer a ground fight as well but he'd be better off using his kickboxing advantage than loitering in the floor. Will he let his ego get to him or strike his way to a decision? My prediction: Potvin by decision.

185 Jack Mistigris versus Harry Hammer

Here we have two fighters trying to stay afloat in the sea of middleweight talent here in Montreal. Hammer especially has been sinking fast despite having the blueprint of a decent sprawl and brawler coming into Saturday off three straight losses. Mistigris, a similar but less developed fighter, broke his own two loss streak against James Logan only to get destroyed by the "Undefeated Gaul." We'll see who uses the other to buouy himself up a bit longer. My prediction: Hammer by TKO.

185 "The Storm" Wesley Snow versus Mick "The Punisher" Audet

An obvious bounceback fight for Wesley Snow, he should have this next fight rather easily. But Mick Audet has been streaking of late, adding to a two fight win streak by submitting Vincent Lontrame in his B2L debut. Snow on the other hand, has lost two of his last three fights albiet one a championship decision loss to Peter Just. A quick submission win here could swing him back into title contention. My prediction: Snow by decision.

170 "Testy" Bustin Balls versus "Mr.Amazing" Rob Gurgel

One has to wonder if "Mr.Amazing's" heart is really in the fight game. 1-3 since joining the fight league, he hasn't lived up to his nickname at all. He'll get to prove me wrong against Bustin Balls, a grappler who debuted with an impressive kneebar. But as much as I'd like to believe in the redemption story, Balls has too much potential and should take this easily. My prediction: Balls by submission.

170 "The Ultimate Weapon" Danilo Caparas versus Jorge "Trick Master" St Pierre

I'm sure you guys remember Caparas' debut into the league or at least remember the loud "Whack!" as his foot connected with Huerta's face. I don't know if his opponent Jorge will have any tricks to deal with someone who clearly outmatches him in almost every phase of the game. The one advantage, a brown belt to Caparas' purple is the only trump card "Trick Master" has as it'll be a painfully short night if the battle stays standing up. My prediction: Caparas by TKO.

170 Georges St Pierre versus Rosa "Bloody Rosa" Luxemburg

"Bloody Rosa" gets the privilege of welcoming a newcomer Georges St Pierre into the professional fight game. A bit of a misnomer, there usually isn't much blood in Luxemburg's fights as he likes to deal with his victims in the submission game. If he can keep it standing, the well rounded St Pierre should pick Luxemburg apart as he really doesn't have much of a striking game to speak of. My prediction: St Pierre by decision.

205 Techno Viking versus Gino "Bri" To

It will be interesting to see what approach Gino To takes in his entrance into the pro game. He'll face a struggling Techno Viking searching for his first organizational victory. They're both kickboxers but Gino has a significant wrestling advantage. If they both choose to stand, it could go either way. But if Gino looks to overwhelm the Viking with his takedowns, he would improve his odds albiet with the possibility of being a tad boring. My prediction: To by decision.

Co-Main Event

185 "The Secret Weapon" Jose Oquendo versus Kick "kickflip" Flip

Jose Oquendo came into B2L with a bang, several bangs actually, winning three fights by TKO or head kick. But two fights later, we're talking about his rather obvious weak grappling game or at least weak enough to be dooming a fighter with championship potential. Standing across from him will be someone with a similarly impressive starting record at 4-0, Kick Flip. His game is grappling and really is a human test subject to see how far along Oquendo has come. But if Flip pulls the upset, we're talking about a newcomer with a craftiness that will take him far in the middleweight division. My prediction: Oquendo by TKO.

Main Event: 265lb Title Fight

265 Cain "The Juggernaut" Marco versus "Made Man" Avtomat Kalashnikov

If you're a little confused as to why we have a heavyweight title fight without the current champion, it appears Tony Douglas has been MIA and as they say, "the show must go on." Undefeated since joining Built 2 Last, Cain Marco earned his title shot with a resounding knockout of Michael NIelamliwy. He'll get a shot at the belt by facing off against "Made Man" Avtomat Kalashnikov. Kalashnikov faced Douglas for the title before only to lose by armbar. He'll get his second chance after earning it with a decimation of Gedeon Nkuwu. An exceptional wrestler, Marco will look to neutralize Kalashnikov's electric striking with takedowns and ground and pound. Either way, we'll have ourselves a new champion and hopefully one easier to reach. My prediction: Kalashnikov by KO.

A Brief Comment

Journalist - "Hi there folks, I have managed to locate the whereabouts of George St Pierre. Let's hear what he has got to say about his call-out of Peter Just, and the Champ's response......or lack of one!"

GSP - "I think it's an indication of the fear that Peter Just feels deep inside whenever he thinks about how much of a danger i am to the things he holds most dear. Namely my belt around his waist. His silence is deafening, and it simply proves that he realises that I am the better man."

Journalist - "Well the Champ has not backed down from a challenge thus far. Perhaps he believes you don't deserve a title shot?!"

GSP - "Do YOU think I deserve a title shot?!?!"

Journalist - "Well....."

GSP - "I DESERVE a title shot. I am the best in the World at what I do! Do you understand what I'm saying to you right now?!"

Journalist - "We...."

GSP - "Shut Up. You put this out there and make the World aware - I'm not some sort of little b*tch who runs and hides when a challenge arrives. I don't sweat Peter Just. I would destroy Peter Just. The only reason that Yabba-Dabba b*tch is still walking in a straight line is cos I haven't had the chance to break his legs yet. But I will. I'm a patient man, and when Peter Just grows a set, decides to man-up and accept my challenge, I will prove to you, to this cameraman, to every single doubter out there at the moment, that I am the real deal, I am the Man, and I am just That Damn Good!"

This weeks smack talk

GSP: I am ready for this fight, I've been training with guys that can knock him out and tap him out in the first round. I am going to establish my dominance in the stand up game. If I am 100 percent mentally and physically, nobodys going to andle my riddum

--

Gino "Bri" To, wrestling coach from the Univsity of Montreal wreslting team is making his B2L debut this saturday against the "Techno Vicking". Loretta Blunt from Sherfox.com met up with Gino earlier today to enquire about this week ends fight.

Blunt: "What do you know about your opponent ?"

To: "Well I hear hes a good stand up fighter. We ll see how good he is when i put him on his back."

Blunt: "You are making your pro debut this week end. Are you nervous?"

To: "Not at all. I have been wrestling in from of people for 15 years. Its nothing new and i intend to stay in familiar territory during the fight. thats with his shoulders pinned on the floor and my fist hammering his face to a bloody pulp"

--

Alain "Coco" Martel does not seem like your typical mixed martial artist. In fact, the soft spoken, McGill art student has not told his relatives about his new found career.

"I guess they ll find out eventually if i keep winning. I am not sure where i wanna go with this MMA thing yet. Its fun for now but i take it one day at a time."

Martel is fighting Jaws Bilo this Friday in Montreal in what should be an exciting fight.

"Jaws is a stand up fighter. I hear hes a good boxer. I have been working out a lot for this fight and i am ready for a 3 round war. "

PRESENTS

WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS

TOP 3 FIGHTS OF B2L:FLYING DROPKICK

York vs. Sladkov

In this slug fest we saw York dominate Sladkov in the stand up where it was a heavyhanded fighter going against a very skilled boxer. Who won? Althoug Sladkov has powerful hands, you can't knock out someone if you can't hit them right? Sladkov got schooled by York in this one and also putting him to sleep with a powerful overhand right then follows it with a flurry to finish the fight.

Winner via KO(Punches), Nigel York!

CO-MAIN EVENT

House vs. Carter

In this fight we have a fighter who has been wreaking havoc in his weight division. He is in a 5 fight winning streak coming in to this fight. In the fight he was up against MT specialist Allen Carter. This is House's 3rd title defense. The fight was dictated by house instigating his clinch game. He was definitely shooting for Carter's weakness in the ground. House got the takedown and tried to submit Carter but the referee stood them up. The second time House got the takedown he was determined to finish and he did. He got Carter into a tight guillotine and made him tap like this guy(See Video below). House won his 6th straight and retains his championship belt.

Winner via Submission(Guillotine), Max House!

MAIN EVENT

Bull vs. Little

In the Main Event we have a championship match against Chuck little and Pit Bull. Man, Bull must really be emotionally scared when he was little. Just imagine your parents you pit. First he was named after a dog. SECOND your first name is PIT. What kind of name is that? On with our fight Pit bull was dominating the fight with his kicks early he was landing kicks like he's in an initiation in a frat or something. He was using his leg like he was initiating Little. He kicked Little's ass LITERALLY! Little tried to dirty box but Bull breaked the clinch not allowing Little to capitalize in the clinch. The fight went Bull's way for 3 round until Little controlled better in the 4th and 5th. He was killing Bull in the clinch landing most of his shots but it was too late. Bull was already too ahead in points for him to make a comeback. I see a rematch in the future with this two. What a great comeback from Little just a LITTLE too late. HAHA! Did you get it? a "LITTLE" too late.. No? Whatever...

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Pit Bull!

In our first highlight we have Snow who is very hungry coming off a loss in a championship match against Peter Just facing off against Mick Audet who is on a roll winning 3 straight fights. In this fight we see Snow demonstrate what kind of fighter he is delivering punch after punch to Audet's face. Audet was clearly out classed. Snow was clearly trying to wear down Audet focusing more on body shots than head shots. In the first round Audet was already breathing hard from Snow's continuous body shots. As a result in the later rounds Audet wasn't effective anymore. He was just receiving shots after shots from Snow. Snow won every round in the fight. It's a good thing Audet has got a great chin if he didn't he could've gone down in the 2nd or 3rd round. A great win for snow who snapped Audet's 3 fight winning streak.

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Wesley Snow!

CO-MAIN EVENT

In our co-main event we also have another fighter in a winning streak. Kick Flip was on a 4 fight winning streak before he faced Oquendo in this exciting match. Oquendo on the other hand is in a 2 fight losing slump. If this fight was on the ground it could've gone better for Kick Flip unfortunately it didn't. To make things worse Oquendo knees Flip's groin. Flip cumples on the floor crying and saying "Putangina! Putangina! gusto ko pa magkaroon ng anak! Putangina iyan ang masakit!!!!" if wanna know what he said google it up. Then he knocks him out with a head kick... Good night cry baby...

Winner via KO(Head Kick), Jose Oquendo!

MAIN EVENT

Marco vs. Kalashnicov

The main event was a boxing slugfest between Marco and Kalashnikov. Kalashnikov made the champion look like a child trying to hit a grown man. Marco didn't even come close to hitting Kalashnikov in the fight. Kalashnikov used Marco's face like Silva vs. Griffin fight. After a minute of beating Kalishnikov connects with a powerful jab that rocks Marco. He follows it with a powerful combination that finishes the fight!

Winner via TKO(Punches) and new Heavyweight champion, Avtomat Kalashnikov!

Built 2 Last 23: The Mouth of Madness Preview

We'll be back at Wild Bob's this Friday with more scary good action. Sure, there's no titles on the line but sometimes that's OK because not every exciting fighter is a champion. And we're going to have one of the most exciting ones headlining a card full of finishers. Read on and get amped.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

185 Alfonso "Minotoro" Dilorenzo versus Eyepun Chiewout

We're starting the card with some unknowns with serious striking potential. "Minotoro" has one professional fight by TKO victory to his name which masks his grappling chops, a brown belt in BJJ. It's a fallback he might need against Eyepun Chiewout, a better all around striker with no grappling experience making his professional debut. My prediction: Dilorenzo by submission.

155 Flavio "The Spanish Armada" Sandoval versus Travis Ramsey

Two rising lightweights will clash Friday and only one should be standing at the end. Both powerful strikers, Sandoval has a slight boxing edge while Ramsey has a similar advantage with his wrestling base. The outcome will help differentiate one from the other while building a resume for a title shot. My prediction: Ramsey by decision.

265+ ISupport "PRAISE BE ALLAH" AlQaeda versus TJ Thomas

In a good old grappler versus striker fight, AlQaeda a ground and pounding purple belt will face off against a boxing veteran coming off a long hiatus, TJ Thomas. Apparently so confident in his skills, AlQaeda is not even training right now while Thomas is doing his time at PhoQus Sports Enhancement. Can Thomas make his opponent pay for his hubris? My prediction: Alqaeda by decision.

170 Jason "Bring It" Baltimore versus Mark Groslouis

Jason Baltimore looks to spoil Muay Thai expert Mark Groslouis' B2L debut much in the same way "Bring It's" debut was spoiled by a Luke Withers' TKO. If he's able to take the battle to the ground, his submission edge should lead to another armbar finish. If it stays standing especially in the clinch, Groslouis could control and batter his opponent to a win. My prediction: Groslouis by TKO.

170 Gregory "Twister" St Pierre versus Luke Withers

Speaking of Luke Withers, he'll fight immediately after his last victim in a bout against "Twister" St Pierre. It will be anyone's fight if they choose to strike but a ground game favors the veteran Withers. He could build himself some momentum and resurrect his career against an opponent whose last fight seemingly killed his spirit. There are rumors he's not even training for this fight. My prediction: Withers by decision.

205 Logan "The Iceman" Louis versus Alarcon "The Traitor" Ramirez

Another fighter who's a glutton for punishment, Logan Louis will square off against Alarcon Ramirez, a submission artist who crafted himself a kimura win in his debut. Yet another fighter who's not even training at the moment, one has to wonder even with a striking advantage if he can pull off the win. My prediction: Ramirez by submission.

265 Kyle "Butcher" Buttler versus "The Torturer" Robbie McSlaughter

There are strikers like Robbie McSlaugter and there are Strikers with a capital "S" like Kyle Buttler. But not every striking expert transitions smoothly to MMA and at the very least, "The Torturer" has shown he can knock people out in MMA. We'll get to see if the "Butcher" can do the same. My prediction: Buttler by TKO.

185 Eliseo "Rolando" Rodriguez versus Eyetake Yudaon

So not every fighter has an all around game, you're going to see that in this bout of one dimensional grapplers. "Rolando" is a BJJ brown belt while Yudaon has a standard wrestling base. Sure we might not see a brutal knockout but we'll get to see some superb grappling technique. My prediction: Rodriguez by submission.

Co-Main Event

205 Rich "Hands of Stone" Thorburn versus Ma Chao

Some people would quit after losing five in a row but Ma Chao kept chugging along to break the streak and actually rack up a three fight win streak. Well hopefully he'll break his streak trend after his latest loss in this co-main event fight against striking veteran Rich Thorburn. A new league did Thorburn good as he put on a striking clinic against Bret McCoy. It should be an all striking affair, and "Hands of Stone" knows a finish here might put him at the bottom of the 205 short list. My prediction: Thorburn by decision.

Main Event

205 "Vorssan poika" Justin Case versus Mahtava "Mursu" Emppe

One person every MMA fan is excited about is Mahtava Emppe. It took him four fights to amass more than a minute of actual ring time because he finishes his opponents so darn quickly. He'll have a tough test on his hands against veteran ground and pounder Justin Case, a 7-2 fighter making his B2L debut on the big stage. For all his hype, there are detractors that wonder about "Mursu's" ground game and how he'll handle longer fights. That's not a question for Case who battled through early cuts to grind out a decision win in his last fight. Whoever wins will be joining Thorburn on the contender list in the light heavyweight division. New champion Pit Bull should be paying close attention tonight. My prediction: Emppe by TKO.

Built 2 Last 24: When We Were Kings Preview

If you can wake up after a night of hardcore boozing and MMA action after Friday night's B2L 23, make your way down to Paddy O'Malleys on Saturday night for more of the same. You can even time your last call shots with a 170 pound title fight that I can say with almost absolute certainty won't end in a decision. Of course, it's never just one good fight but usually ten of them at a B2L event. So read on friends.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

155 Jimmy "The Gent" Conway versus Graham Goddard

"The Gent" is still searching for his first organizational win after three B2L bouts. He'll face an opponent also searching for his first win, Abu Dhabi champ and BJJ black belt Graham Goddard. If the fight hits the ground, it should be an easy win for Goddard. The reverse is true if he can't. My prediction: Goddard by submission.

265+ Jason Voorhees versus Eric "Bobo" Correa

Two Muay Thai fighters searching for a foothold on their lives meet to discuss their life goals with fists and feet. No longer training MMA, Voorhees will face "Bobo" a fight veteran but B2L newcomer who should easily use Voorhees as debut win in his new home. My prediction: Correa by decision.

265+ Jorge "123" Murphy versus Johnny "Joe Bine" Walker

A boxer who found his way into MMA, Jorge Murphy has found he can hang even without much grappling experience. He'll face Johnny Walker, a wrestler with rudimentary striking skills trying to rebound from a 51 second TKO loss in his first fight. Even with his wrestling, Walker might not have enough weapons to win this. My prediction: Murphy by decision.

155 PierreLuc Beaulieu versus Victor Dragonov

PierreLuc Beauliu hasn't won an MMA fight since before Thanksgiving, the closest being a draw against Egg Nok in early February. He'll get a chance to break the streak against a just as miserable fighter in Victor Dragonov who's 0-3 in his professional career. Hey at least someone has to win. Right? My prediction: Beauliu by decision.

155 To "twister" Blake versus "NO2" Asteroids Bombereem

Their nicknames even matching their fighting styles, "twister" and "NO2" face off in the standard grappler versus striker fight. Blake makes his MMA debut hoping his brown belt will neutralize the explosive power Bombereem showed in his B2L debut. It will be a serious test to see if "NO2" has the takedown defence to make a real dent in the lightweight division. My prediction: Bombereem by TKO.

155 Pierce "The Fourth Judge" Russell versus Tony Corner

We're in for a boxing match as two fighters that debuted with wins in the B2L fight for their second org victory. Tony had an arguably more impressive win by 3rd round knockout but Russell's decision win was equally dominant in a striking clinic. Neutralizing each other on the feet might lead to the fight entering unknown territories like the clinch or the ground game. My prediction: Corner by decision.

170 "Awesome" Howard Schmidt versus Moon Nam Sip

A great wrestler with developing submission skills, Moon Sip is undefeated with a takedown and submit formula. If he can wade through enough vicious "Awesome" punches and kicks, he'll have himself another takedown and submission win. If he gets caught once, it'll be a short night as Howard Schmidt makes up for his grappling weaknesses with great striking skills. My prediction: Schmidt by TKO.

170 Dean Perry versus Luke "Die Hard" Downer

Two fighters looking to bounce back from recent losses square off against their doppelganger. Both boxers with underrated grappling skills, the winner will find himself back in the hunt for a title shot especially considering Perry was Beautiful Boxer's most recent victim. Regardless of the winner, we're looking at some of the cream of the welterweight crop. My prediction: Perry by decision.

Co-Main Event

265 Dutch Hand versus Ned Schnidt

Far from a lay and pray fighter, Dutch Hand takes people down and usually finishes them. He'll meet a striker named Ned Schnidt who debuted with a vicious KO punch. Wherever the fight goes, we're look at some violence. I wouldn't be looking for a decision in this one. While they might lose to decisions, they're always looking to finish which is probably why they're the co-main event of Saturday night. My prediction: Hand by TKO.

Main Event: 170lb Title Fight

Beautiful Boxer versus Ivan "The Terrible" Sampaio

So here we are, the main event a battle between the technician and the beast. "The Terrible" is coming off his most impressive win, a hard fought battle that showed his resiliency against a game Gregory St Pierre. In Sampaio fashion, he of course won by KO. It'll be a bit tougher on Saturday against the champion, whose name is very fitting for his style of boxing. A bit more technical, he finishes his fights just as well against top flight competition. It'll be interesting to see if the raw aggression will overwhelm the champion. As exciting as Ivan is, I think he's met his match. My prediction: Beautiful Boxer by TKO.

Smacktalk

Marc Groulouis interview

Veteran Kick boxing fighter, Marc Groslouis, talked with Marc Petit from Le journal de Montreal about his friday night MMA debut against Jason Baltimore. Baltimore a veteran of 4 professional bouts will bring in the cage considerable MMA experience compared to Groslouis.

Petit - " What made you jump from Kick Boxing to MMA?"

Groslouis- "The money, the fame, the women, the Paparazzis"

Petit- " Funny....How long have you trained for this fight ?"

Groslouis- "All my life. I was a wrester even before i threw my first kick. I know what i have to do to win that fight and i intend to dictate my game plan."

Petit- "Care to elaborate ?"

Groslouis- "No."

Petit- "Ok....Well Baltimore seems like a very well rounded fighter. He is comfortable where ever the fight takes place. Are you worried he might take advantage of that ?"

Groslouis- "Its a fight and a fight is a fight. Like i said i have outstanding wrestling and if he wants to bring me to the ground then great. Its easier to KO a tired opponent."

Petit- "Thank you Marc. Good luck Friday."

Groslouis-" I wont need it, but thank you"

Open letter to Asteroids Bombereem,

My name is To Blake. You may remember me from the last grappling tourney in Windsor where i choked out your coach in under a minute. Sadly for you i think we are fighting each other tomorrow. On the ground i am light years ahead of you. And beleive me; the fight will take place on the ground. When i take your arm and bring it home tomorrow, dont be mad.

I am painting my kitchen and i may need a hand.

Regards,

To

By Michel Fecteau from La voix du sud.

Dont let his record fool you. Johny Walker is no stranger to MMA. The gentle giant from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu has been involved in amateur MMA for the last 4 years. His last fight ended prematurely becasue of a cut. According to him a fight he was well on his way to win. Walker is fighting pro for the second time this week end in Montreal.

-Fecteau "Your last fight ended by a TKO due to a cut. How did you take that decision"

-Walker "The doc was only doing his job. He is there to protect us. I respect his decision"

-Fecteau "How do you see this second fight going down?"

-Walker "Well. My boxing is improving every day. I wouldnt mind testing it out against a good striker like Murphy. Every fights start on the feet so we ll see. Hes a really tough opponent and i am looking forward fighting him"

-Fecteau "Thank you Johny. Good luck tomorrow"

-Walker "Thanks a lot."

B2L 23:THE MOUTH OF MADNESS

TOP 3 FIGHTS OF B2L 23: THE MOUTH OF MADNESS

AlQueda vs. Thomas

AlQueda is in a two fight winning streak going into this match and Thomas is a very dangerous striker as well. In this fight we saw Thomas got taken down early in the first but he showed great defensive grappling as he got up into his feet. As soon as the fight was stood up Thomas he thought of the millions of USA soldiers who died hunting for Bin Laden. The fire grew in his eyes as the song(see video below) was playing in his head.

He felt a burning in his pants! He then summoned all the strength in his body to pulverize AlQueda with head and body punches. He then catches AlQueda with right hand that drops AlQueda. He follows him to the ground and piles in more strikes until the ref stops the fight. USA - 1 AlQueda - 0!

Winner via TKO(Strikes), TJ Thomas!

CO-MAIN EVENT

Thorburn vs. Chao

This fight definitely deserves the award of Fight of the night. Both fighters were killing each other. Neither of them gave an inch. Both fighters where knocking each other down, it was like the best fight of ever(video)!

they were both looking for a KO. We thought it was going to end in the first when Chao got a knockdown and follow Thorburn into the ground but Thorburn defended well and survived the round. Thorburn then turned the tides by winning the 2nd and 3rd while Chao won the 1st 4th and well the 5th with a powerful combination that knocks Thorburn senseless in before going down.

Winner via KO(Strike), Ma Chao!

MAIN EVENT

The main event was all about Chase. He dominated Emppe every round in this match. He was avoiding strikes and countering very well. He took down Emppe 5/9 times in the fight dominating him on the ground. He was also using the clinch negating Emppe's striking. Emppe tried to control Chase but he was struggling with it. In the 3rd round Chase managed to get to full mount and that was the moment where he cut and Rocked Emppe. He lands big shots on Emppe's face. Emppe just couldn't take more of the shots and he was just covering up. The fight was stopped by the referee. A dominating performance by Chase!

Winner via TKO(Strikes), Justin Chase!

B2L 24:WHEN WE WERE KINGS

TOP 3 FIGHTS OF B2L 24:WHEN WE WERE KINGS

Murphy vs. Walker

On the first When we were kings highlight is the fight between Murphy and Walker. Walker got a takedown early but he was not able to captalize on his ground game because Murphy controlled him well on the ground. Since not much was going on the match was stood up and it was back to square one for Walker. Murphy capitalized on this opportunity and threw bombs at Walker. After cutting Walker with a jab Murphy went to the clinch where he rocked Walker. When he saw Walker's eyes were blank he catches walker with an uppercut that finishes Walker knocking him out cold.

Winner via KO(Punch), Jorge Murphy!

CO-MAIN EVENT

In the fight we saw Schnidt was dominating Hand. He was usually on top of hand landing GnP and controlling Hand. Hand must really improve his takedown after this. He was getting taken down from the clinch. He didn't even stuff a takedown from Schnidt in this fight. Schnidt was dominating the fight until the 3rd round where he got a takedown into full mount! Hand threw flurries of strikes, although Schnidt has a great chin but Hand's hands were like millions of tons dropping on Schnidt's face! Schnidt tried to improve position but instead he got caught with two shots which rocked him. Hand lands a brutal shot that puts Schnidt to sleep. Fight over...

Winner via KO(Strikes)Dutch Hand!

MAIN EVENT

Our main event shows two excellent boxers squaring of. Boxer who is in his third title defense while Sampiao is undefeated and KO'ing all of his opponents. Boxer was showed his experience in this fight. He knows Sampiao is a dangerous fighter to stand and bang with and he avoided standing toe to toe with him. He brought Sampiao into the clinch where Boxer had an advantage. Each time Sampiao was getting in the groove in the stand up Boxer clinches him up and worked his dirty boxing skills. Boxer never let go of Sampiao once he manage to tie him up. Sampiao on the other hand was always trying to break free but he just couldn't. Boxer exhausted Sampiao by controlling him and never letting him break free. In the end Boxer's advantage was just too much ensuring his win and 3rd successful title defense in B2L. Great strategy by Boxer.

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Beautiful Boxer!

The Silence is Deafening.... -

"Peter Just, I have been a fool. I actually had a little bit of respect for you. Thought you were a fighting champion. Then I do the honourable thing and try and give the fans what they want - a fight between two great warriors. And instead, your silence speaks volumes and all we find out is that if the fight ever did happen, it would be 1 great warrior versus one little bitch! I mean, in all seriousness, where are your testicles?!?! The whole of B2L is laughing at you - making fun of you - having one hell of a time watching you duck challenges and hand-pick easier opposition. Is that belt the only thing that enables you to get laid?! You certainly seem very reluctant to face anyone who might pose even a small threat to it. I have a feeling you will ignore this, just like you have ignored everything else I have said. It's a damn shame that a great organisation like B2L has such a pussy for a champion. I just hope that justice is served, and B2L MAKE SURE the fight happens, rather than letting you hand-pick the phony challengers as you always do. It's personal now - you do NOT just dismiss me or ignore me!! By doing so, you have ensured that eventually, somewhere, somehow, you will be served with a huge slice of an ass-whooping!"

Built 2 Last 25: Wild Things

Wild Things makes me think of Charlie Sheen from "Major League." And really, B2L 25 will have lots of things a warlock like Mr. Sheen would enjoy. Enjoy the action from ten fighters "winning" this Friday night at Paddy O'Malleys. If you're not a B2L fan, you're probably just a troll like Jon Cryer. Non-trolls read on.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

205 Phace "Twinkletoes" Schmascher versus "Headhunder" Hernandez Zatox

The "Headhunder's" professional career so far hasn't been very impressive but he has a chance to spark some excitement by pulling off the upset against Phace Schmascher. Even without a pro fight, oddsmakers consider "Twinkletoes" the favorite against Zatox due to his boxing pedigree. My prediction: Zatox by decision.

170 Remy "Olympian gold medalist" Garmin versus Hugo "The Lokomotive" Trainner

Two excellent wrestlers square off in an MMA match which usually means a sloppy boxing match as their strengths neutralize. And despite bouncing back from two straight losses to win his last fight, Remy Garmin just doesn't have enough weapons to combat a ground and pounder like "The Lokomotive." My prediction: Trainner by TKO.

265+ Joseph "Staline" Vissarionovitch Djougachvili versus Siggi "Sumo" Herrmann

These two have met once before and it wasn't pretty. "Sumo" controlled the fight takedown after takedown until he won by 2nd round TKO. "Staline" hasn't made any changes to his training to warrant anyone thinking a second fight won't go the same way. My prediction: Herrmann by TKO.

185 "Lusty" Julius Cesar Alcaraz versus Vincent Lontrame

Sprawl and brawler "Lusty" Julius Cesar Alcaraz squares off against another fighter finding it difficult in the shark-infested B2L waters. Vincent Lontrame is the prototypical jack of all trades but master of none. And in MMA, as he's finding out, that's sometimes just as bad at being one-dimensional. My prediction: Lontrame by decision.

185 Timber Lake versus Jan "Mclovin" Mcdougall

Timber Lake exploded onto the B2L scene with a first round KO over the previously mentioned "Lusty." "Mclovin" on the other hand is finding out like a lot of BJJ guys who start MMA that the stand up game can end their night as quickly as a submission, losing his last fight 5 seconds after the starting bell. Could be deja vu for Mr. Mcdougall. My prediction: Timber Lake by TKO.

185 "yes" imma truth versus Erik "Teddy bear" Flugentaggen

The one who administered the 5 second loss to "Mclovin," imma truth surged back from a submission loss to win his last two fights in a combined 34 seconds. He faces "Teddy bear," another fighter who bounced back from a loss to win two straight. We'll see who can take the fight into their realms, standing for truth or grappling for Flugentaggen. My prediction: Flugentaggen by decision.

205 Bret McCoy versus "Sunshine" Marcel Thuram

If you believe in patterns, Bret McCoy should win the next fight as he usually alternates a loss with a win. But "Sunshine" Marcel Thuram's pattern is straight winning, as a win here would give him four straight. Like the fight before them, whoever keeps the fight in their realm will get to continue their pattern.

155 Adam "Snake" Silva versus "hands of pillow" Takanori Gomi

"Snake" continued his winning ways in his B2L debut over De La Renta. He'll see if he can grind his way to a finish against Takanori Gomi, someone who hasn't been able to escape the first round since joining the org. While it might not be in the first round, it should be an easy win for Silva. My prediction: Silva by TKO.

Co-Main Event

170 Kenshi "Ground Zero" Zuko versus Charly "Max B" Wingate

In a fight that should take place mostly on the ground, B2L newcomer Kenshi Zuko faces undefeated Charly Wingate. However a change in strategy could find "Ground Zero" at a strong advantage in the striking realm. But even on the ground on paper at least, purple ranks higher than blue. In the past, we've seen that rarely matters once people start getting punched in the face. But if you're going percentages, it's hard to ignore Zuko. But if you're looking at momentum and hype, you're gonna go with "Max B." Regardless, we'll be adding another name to a stacked welterweight division. My prediction: Zuko by decision.

Main Event

205 Marcus "Terminator" Green versus John "Unknown" Doe

An exciting and undefeated finisher Marcus Green fights for the first time under the B2L banner against supreme underdog John Doe. I personally thought he'd lose his last fight but he was active enough on his feet and neutralized his brown belt opponent on the ground to eke out a decision. He'll need to be able to pull off his gameplan to win, except this time by bringing the fight to the ground. "Terminator" might not have a brown belt but he's usually able to finish people on his feet quickly enough to render that pointless. Against a green striker like "Unknown," it should be an easy win for another strong addition to the 205's.

Built 2 Last 26: In Ali We Trust

Saturday night is going to be like eating the breakfast special for dinner. It's stuff you know you like but kind of different at the same time. We've got a lot of familiar names but also some new ones to shake up their divisions. So chow down on some French toast with a side of blood and sweat as you read about B2L 26.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

155 Michael "Nuclear" Jimenez versus Shinya "Tobikan Judan" Aoki

Boy do things change fast in MMA. After starting with two wins to earn a title shot, "Nuclear" Jimenez needs a win against "Tobikan Judan" Aoki to avoid a three loss streak. Grappling ace Shinya on the other hand, has trended the opposite direction with all the upward momentum in this one. That said, Jimenez is probably too well rounded to lose this one. My prediction: Jimenez by TKO.

170 Alan "T-Bone" Ringseal versus George "Rush" St Pierre

If you've been following MMA news lately, you might have seen "Rush" spending a lot of his time calling out Peter Just. I don't understand why a welterweight is calling out the middleweight champion in the first place but he better get his priorities straight by focusing on his opponent "T-Bone." Alan Ringseal is a dangerous grappler that could easily remind his opponent the dangers of looking ahead. My prediction: Ringseal by submission.

155 "Terror" Maximilien Robespierre versus Dean "War Wolf" Monroe

It took "Terror" a B2L debut loss to settle in before bouncing back with back to back wins. He's looking to play spoiler to newcomer Dean Monroe, a well-rounded veteran. On the feet, it'll be a technical battle but if the fight hits the ground "War Wolf" has a massive advantage. My prediction: Monroe by submission.

185 Nathan "Crusher" Matos versus "The Undefeated Gaul" Gaule Crixius

Nathan and Gaule might as well be twins. Both excellent boxing sprawl and brawlers, the two meet Saturday with massive fan hype. You can probably find Matos slam KO finish and Crixius three quick TKO stoppages in every recent B2L fan video. I don't do it all the time but I'm breaking out the quarter for a hell of a coin flip. My prediction: Crixius by TKO.

265+ Chris Murney versus "The Tower" Tra Falgar

These two monsters have probably been a little gloomy lately, both losing two in a row despite being very skilled for their size. The upside is someone has to win Saturday and hopefully turn their careers around. Could go either way but I'm going with the more experienced Murney on this one. My prediction: Murney by decision.

265 Cain "The Juggernaut" Marco versus The "Bearded" Dos Equis Guy

Cain Marco looks to recapture the momentum that came screeching to a halt in a title shot loss against "Made Man" Kalashnikov. It's only been two weeks since then, and he faces The Dos Equis Guy, a fighter who demolished his three opponents before joining Built 2 Last. Both are supremely skilled boxers so we're probably looking at a striking war. My prediction: Marco by decision.

155 Marco "Brick Shithouse" Brickowski versus Mickey Javier "The Falkon" Pantaleon

Brickowski has only fought twice but has finished both viciously. He's probably smiling on the inside knowing he'll face an inferior striker in "The Falkon." But he should be careful, one trip or slip and the fight hits the ground and Pantaleon has shown he can finish there. My prediction: Brickowski by TKO.

170 "Testy" Bustin Balls versus "The Ultimate Weapon" Danilo Caparas

They couldn't be any more different but they've been equally effective since joining B2L, Balls with his submissions and Caparas with his striking. But while it might look like a classic grappler versus striker battle, "The Ultimate Weapon" lives up to his name with great overall grappling along with world class strikes. We could be looking at a future champion. My prediction: Caparas by TKO.

Co-Main Event

155 Manny "the Pacman" Pacquiao versus "The Natural Born Killer" Mickey Knox

It seems like every event we're looking at more and more new talent being introduced to every division. And it's the same case Saturday night as we'll discover two fresh faces to B2L, with only one loss between them in eight bouts. This one will be more like the standard boxer versus ground guy fare as they're both fairly one dimensional. If he can keep it standing, heavy handed Pacquiao will have a quick win by TKO. But if he can't stay standing, his only loss comes by submission and "The Natural Born Killer" happens to have a purple belt.

Main Event

205 Ricky "Americanzi" Stanzi versus Josh "Braker" Bernardes

In a bit of a rarity, Saturday night's main event will be an epic ground battle between two brown belts. If not, it'll be an ugly bit of amateur striking. But my money's on a technical ground battle between two of the best ground guys in the organization. If we're talking momentum, Stanzi is coming off an easy first round sub of Shanzo Miganzo. "Braker" on the other hand, is probably still frustrated from a loss to John Doe that could have easily swung his way. For a short while, the winner can brag about being the best ground guy in the light heavyweight division. My prediction: "Braker" by decision.

Smack talk for Saturday night fights

TATAME MAGAZINE talked again with Gaul Crixius (3-0), that fights against Nathan "Crusher" Matos (6-3) at B2L 26: In Ali We Trust. Check what "The Undefeated Gaul" told us.

TATAME: Talk about your training camp for this fight.

Crixius: Well, I trained very hard to face Nathan. I focused my stand up skills: punches, kicks, knees, clinchwork and my striking defense. He has a big right hand and I'm prepared for a stand up war.

TATAME: So, you think this fights won't develop on the ground...

Crixius: Sure! The only way to this fight goes to ground is if one of us be knocked down. He's an excelent boxer, as am I. He slammed a guy in his last fight, but he will never do the same thing with me, no way!

TATAME: Your last opponents never passed from the 1st round. Do you think this will happen again?

Crixius: I don't so...Nathan is better than the other guys I faced before, this will be a real test to see if I can be the champion. I'm prepared and pretty confident too.

TATAME: Now, you figure on top 10 at B2l 185ers. If you win, do you think you will deserve a title shot in next fight?

Crixius: Why not? But I think I need to face a top 5 first. If I win, I'll be definitely in the mix. Let's see, but now my thoughts are on Nathan.

TATAME: To finish this, you want to thank someone?

Crixius: My coaches, my manager Luis Borracha, my family and my sporsors Ka-POW Clothing and Fight Club Clothing Helsink. Also thanks to my boss, Jake Waldren.

TATAME: Good luck and good fight tomorrow.

Crixius: Thanks!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CD2LRROpph0

Mccoy vs. Thuram

This fight is very important for the these two fighters. Mccoy is coming off a loss and is trying to get back on track while Thuram is looking to extend his winning streak to 4. Mccoy’s game plan is obvious. Get Thuram on the ground and beat him till he calls for his mom. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTT… Thuram showed great defensive grappling and avoided his strikes. Thuram got back on his feet and lets his fists fly. After showing some great punches, Thuram connects with a powerful kick to Mccoy’s jaw. He knocks him down and ushers him back to his feet. He then fakes a kick then comes with a powerful right and left that finishes Mccoy.

Winner via KO(Punches), Marcel Thuram!

========================================================================================================================================================

Gomi has been struggling as of late. He has been losing left and right. He has been KO'ed in his two fights. Now Silva wants to add another loss to Gomi's record .Gomi tried to swing on Silva but Silva used good head movement in order to avoid strikes and take the fight to the ground. Which Silva did. Silva pulled guard from the clinch then worked away with sub attempts. After failing his first submission Silva successfully gets an armbar. Silva wasn’t letting this one get away and he cranked his arm almost shaping it into an arc. Gomi taps out from a beautiful submission from Silva.

Winner via Submission(Armbar), Adam Silva!

========================================================================================================================================================

CO-MAIN EVENT

Zuko vs. Wingate

Zuko made all the people believe that wrestlers really don't like being on their back. Just ask Wingate. Zuko never let Wingate get the dominant position. He was controlling Wingate very well. Zuko was landing shots on Wingate and on top of that he was really looking for submissions. In the first round Zuko showed great GnP and by the second round Zuko was also showing great jiu jitsu. After four minutes in the 2nd round Zuko got to Wingates back and secured a RNC tightly Wingate refused to tap and falls unconcious. WTF REF! YOU SHOULD'VE STOPPED IT ALREADY!

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/36/36w14.jpg

Winner via Submission(RNC), Kenshi Zuko!

========================================================================================================================================================

MAIN EVENT

Green vs. Doe

In our next fight we have two undefeated fighters. Green has been in a 5 fight win streak while Doe has never been defeated in his young career. Doe was looking to counter in this one. Unfortunately his opponent is very powerful. Fighters with KO power doesn’t need many hits to make their opponent sleep. That’s what happened here Green connected with overhand then follows with more strikes that made the referee stop the fight. Green remains undefeated!

Winner via TKO(Punches), Marcus Green!

Two words. ASS WHOOPIN'! Crixius took the game to Matos as he was spanking Matos' ass till the bell rung. Crixius connected majority of his shots and even rocked Matos in the second round. We should also applaud Mato's heart. He showed that he has a heart of a champion. Refusing to go down even if he had been rocked and has been eating some shots. In the 3rd round I thought Matos was done for. He still was banging with Crixius. In the end Crixius was just too much for him and the fight was won by Crixius via scorecards.

One thing I hate about making wrestlers is that you need to build their stand up AND ALL FIGHTS STARTS STANDING UP right? Yeah it's a cliche but that's the truth. Dos Equis made Marco realize that. He made Marco pay with exchanging strikes with him. After a minute of beating up Marco, Dos Equis counters with an enormous uppercut. Marco was clearly hurt and Dos Equis piles in the pressure and forces the referee to stop the match.

CO-MAIN EVENT

Pacquiao vs. Knox

If you ever see Pacquiao in a MMA fight what would your strategy be? That's right get him flat on his back. That is exactly what Knox did. He took down Pacquiao and controlled him there. He was very active on the ground mixing up subs and GnP. He never let Pacquiao use his tools to win the fight. I'm surprised on how well Pacquiao defended against subs. Few white belts rarely survive once they hit the ground. In the end Knox dominated Pacquiao and won the fight via decision.

Built 2 Last 27: Ironhead's Revenge

ARRRR. I bet a pirate would enjoy a good MMA fight. Well I'm not a pirate and you don't have to be one either to find ten of them Friday. We'll be at Wild Bob's (probably would've been a popular pirate spot), and there'll even be gold. Gold strapped to a belt given to the baddest super heavyweight on the planet. Read all about it mateys.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

170 George "Rush" St pierre versus George "Rush" Pierre

With the most popular male name in modern Canadian history, two George St Pierre's will bang heads to start the night (although one lost his saint status somewhere along the line). Both are grapplers and basically identical. They could probably fight ten times and split even. My prediction: Pierre by decision.

155 Greg "Maniac" Huges versus "Senor Sexy" Rodrigo De La Renta

Maybe it was the bright B2L lights but "Senor Sexy" couldn't find his mojo in his debut against Adam Silva. He spent most of that fight on the ground and could see more of the same if his takedown defense isn't shored up when he faces Greg Huges. Huges is a grinding takedown specialist but not exactly aces on his feet. My prediction: Huges by decision.

265 Brock Lesnar versus Gedeon Nkuwu

This fight could be the third one that ends up hitting the mat with a takedown. Both fighters are ground and pounders although Lesnar has been seeing more success as of late. His momentum emotionally and physically (size advantage) will probably carry him through to another TKO win. My prediction: Lesnar by TKO.

265 Michal "Złamas" Nielamliwy versus Danny "Irish ending" McGauffie

The second of three heavyweight fights, these two could easily continue the night's trend of ground fighting as both tend to lean on submissions to win. Nielamliwy however has a brown belt so on paper has the advantage there. This fact might push McGauffie to try to keep the fight standing to take advantage of his strengths there. My prediction: Nielamliwy by submission.

265 Kanu "Crazzy" Mitzucuik versus "Nature Boy" Jaques Cousteau

"Crazzy" figures to be a tough fight for "Nature Boy," as he's essentially a more advanced version of himself. Both fighters setup a late takedown with strikes. That said, taking the fight to the ground actually gives Cousteau his best odds as their skills there are more even than on their feet. My prediction: Mitzucuik by decision.

170 "The Animal" Anthony Santiago versus Reyes "Braulio" Zayas

"The Animal" could be in for some trouble against another ground specialist in "Braulio." He's struggled in the past to keep the fight standing where he hopes to do damage, especially in the clinch. Zayas on the other hand has coasted since joining the org with two straight submission wins. My prediction: Zayas by submission.

265+ Mirko Filipovic versus Ronnie Coleman

Mirko Filipovic's first win showed devastating power and precision but ended too quickly to disprove the doubts fans have about his grappling skills. He'll get to prove plenty against a veteran ground and pounder with underrated striking, Ronnie Coleman. If he can avoid Mirko's strikes long enough, one takedown and some strikes could show why not every striker can make it in MMA. My prediction: Coleman by TKO.

185 Junior De Gonzales versus Lu Bu

We're in for a clinch war as two great middleweights with sterling one loss records square off. They differ however as De Gonzales comes with a Muay Thai background versus Bu's boxing one. This test of wills and clinch prowess should add another name to the middleweight contender list.. My prediction: De Gonzales by decision.

Co-Main Event: 265+lb Title Fight

265+ "The Nigerian Nightmare" Emeka Shakur versus TJ Thomas

Six hundred pounds of muscle and a referee will test the engineering of the ring in the co-main event of the night. Not only that, they'll be fighting for the title of biggest baddest man on the planet with a gold belt as proof. His last bout with Heavy Hnds proved who indeed had the heaviest hands as "The Nigerian Nightmare" easily dispatched the former champion by TKO in a little over a minute. He'll face TJ Thomas, boxer coming off a B2L debut with a TKO win over AlQaeda. Thomas has his work cut out for him; because on paper at least, he's inferior in every stage of the game. He'll be praying for a miracle right hand. My prediction: Shakur by TKO.

Main Event

185 "The Secret Weapon" Jose Oquendo versus "The Storm" Wesley Snow

Two top middleweight contenders might be fighting for a shot at who gets Peter Just next. Jose Oquendo seems to have shaken off the funk of losing his title to Just by headkicking it away onto his last opponent Kick Flip. Snow lost more recently to the champion but bounced back with a marathon of strikes against Mick Audet. "The Storm" has an edge on paper in every category but especially on the ground. Keeping it on the feet is probably Oquendo's best chance while a ground battle should give Snow an easily victory. My prediction: Snow by decision.

Built 2 Last 28: The Main Event

Not to say this Friday's B2L 27 card is a bad one but it'll be hard to argue against B2L 28 being "The Main Event" of the week. Har. Along with the usual mix of exciting fighters standing and on the ground, we're capping the night with title fights for the middleweight and heavyweight crown. Let's be like Dora and explore Saturday night's card.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

265 Stalin "Steal Mill" Starksson versus Iskar "Whiskeyjack" Jarak

Just in case you didn't trust me when I said we'd have excitement, we have two undefeated finishers in the heavyweight division opening the night. While "Steal Mill" does it with his wide variety of submissions, "Whiskeyjack" just knocks them out cold with his fists. Either way, it's going to be a short night for these two. My prediction: Starksson by submission.

205 "The Grim Reaper" Gary Moskavony versus Peter Vulture

A loss to the champ Chuck Little started Gary Moskavony's tumble down the 205 ladder, and he can't seem to stop. He'll face Peter Vulture, a similar smaller fighter that likes to setup takedowns with striking. "The Grim Reaper" will need to mix it up or he's going to get out-wrestled all night. My prediction: Vulture by decision.

205 FkYou "InTheAHole" WithMyDik versus Dwayne "Bang" Howard

It wasn't the greatest fight but WithMyDik won his debut in February. He'll try to ruin the debut of Dwayne "Bang" Howard, a fighter with similar skills, styles, and resume. I predict a decision coming down to whoever has the better cardio. My prediction: WithMyDik by decision.

185 Andy "Naturell" Sawer versus Han "Maple Leaf" Jambon

"Naturell" came down to earth in his last fight against now retired James Logan, kept off balance in every stage of the fight. His next opponent, Han Jambon, lost recently to another fighter with similar skill sets in Gaule Crixius so it should be a bounceback win. But Logan was supposed to be a winnable fight too and we saw how that turned out. My prediction: Jambon by decision.

185 Jeff "Ulick" MaGee versus Harry "Tamayo" Villegas

His first fight a win by decision showed the standard strike to setup a takedown style of Jeff MaGee. He'll probably avoid that strategy against BJJ brown belt Harry Villegas who's won his two fight B2L fights by submission, the latest an exciting last ditch arm bar with five seconds left in the fight. My prediction: Villegas by submission.

185 Jaws Bilo versus Kick "kickflip" Flip

Kick Flip found out the hard way how difficult it can be to stay undefeated once he woke up from a nasty head kick from Jose Oquendo. Hopefully his strike first grapple later opponent Jaws Bilo is taking notes, he's undefeated but should realize he probably can't stay that way forever. In fact, I think "kickflip" will probably be the one to show him that. My prediction: Flip by decision.

265 Kenyon "The Shooting" star versus Jake "The Spider" Batungbakal

As an MMA fan, I have to respect that a fighter has to utilize what he has to make a living. But some fighters just aren't much fun to watch because it feels like they're missing that last weapon to end a fight. Well, we've got two of them here that have fight styles that don't live up to their aggressive nicknames. Hopefully one proves me wrong. My prediction: Batungbakal by decision.

170 Reynaldo "Chike" Da Silva versus "The Phantom" Fabio Huerta

We're looking at the debut of clinch artist with razor sharp elbows against a grappling ace, let's call it a variation of the striker and the ground guy. The problem for "Chike" has been a failure to win in other ways if his elbows can't end the fight. If Huerta's head proves resilient, a takedown could be in order and the fight could go either way at that point. My prediction: Da Silva by TKO.

Co-Main Event: 265lb Title Fight

265 "The Gentleman" Nigel York versus "Made Man" Avtomat Kalashnikov

Any time you have heavyweights that like to strike, the fight could end in an instant. And for Nigel York and Avtomat Kalashnikov, they usually do. I have a feeling it'll be a matter of pride that keeps the fight on the feet. In the case of the current champion, he never fails to entertain; as while he typically is the one finishing opponents with strikes, his losses come by submission or TKO as well. The contender called "The Gentleman," has shown the ability to win a technical striking match as well as finish his opponents. His kicks will probably determine the outcome. My prediction: York by TKO.

Main Event: 185lb Title Fight

185 Peter "The Anaconda" Just versus Keijo "Ylimielinen/Vihamielinen" Sardiini

Keijo Sardiini opened the eyes of B2L fans who'd never heard of him by forcing Jose Oquendo to quit due to brutal strikes. And for as great as his striking has been, he's shown a weakness to submissions. And as we all know, the current middleweight champion is called "The Anaconda" for a reason. He pulled off an impressive decision victory over a great challenger also with impressive striking, Wesley Snow. While Sardiini obviously has a puncher chance, it's more likely he'll find himself on his back trying to entangle his limbs all night. My prediction: Just by submission.
