OK this is the official place to discuss the training changes.

- If you want questions answered, ask it in here.

- If you dislike something, discuss it in here but don't go off the handle. If there is something that can be tweaked to be better, we will do it as long as it's discussed in the correct manner. However, don't bother just posting "I don't like it", unless you actually have something useful to say.

 

I imagine most discussion is going to be on the skill maintenance. See how you get on with it for a week or so before passing judgement. If you are unsure of how it works, read the wiki.

 

The only group of people that I feel are particularly badly affected are those who had trained their fighters up to have very high physicals. Apologies but that will be hard to maintain and you'd need to do circuits every 4th or 5th session. Hopefully you also picked physicals aptitude to help the maintenance if you really want to keep them all really high.

 

If you don't have a trigger bar for a certain fighter, it's probably because he's just had a fight. The bars will appear when the maintenance kicks in again after his rest period.

 

Other than those pre-emptive negative bits, I hope you enjoy the new training changes!

 

Future updates (coming soon-ish)

1. We are storing peak skill levels. So if you get to 120 but fall to 110, it will be easier to get back to 120.

2. Different types of ciruit training, specialising in different areas of the physical attributes.

3. Possibility of making it easier to be a member of multiple gyms.

 

Thing to report

As mentioned on the spoiler page this is about 7000 lines of new code so there's a possibility of a few little errors that I haven't spotted in all the testing. So just report things if they look weird. Weird energy gains / losses. Same for morale or any skills etc.

All my guys seem to be OK as far as I can tell. Their energy is on point(expected decrease with what activity they do in training as far as I can tell), and while I wasn't expecting any pops, everyone did seem to make their minor skill gains as expected through training. The only issue is the "training in progress" red text on the gym page limbo.

i didn't get any pops (not necessarily an error), but it looks like all my guys only lost around 0.5% energy for doing coached training, and about 0.75% energy for sparring.

 

*edit* rest sessions appear normal

 

*edit 2* one of my guys popped a secondary, but it's not on the pop list.
