skintchicken
i like option 1, but if it's going to be really hard to work with option 2 is good too. however, i have a question regarding option 2. what if an org chooses not to have any k-1 fights at all? the way i read this 2. Allow orgs to run both types of event but each one event is all the same format. We could then have separate MMA and kickboxing rankings for orgs. An individual org could be ranked in both formats. If we did this, we'd make the org hype decay slowly in both, so that you need to keep active in both aspects to maintain your org ranking. The diminishing returns would be combined and look at both types, for a joint value, so you couldn't really dominate both. is that if an org chose not to have any k-1 fights that they would in effect be penalized by their hype slowly decaying more than an org that holds events for both mma and k-1. am i understanding this correctly? MMATycoon
If you only run one type you won't be at any disadvantage, probably the opposite. There will be separate org rankings for MMA and KT (I've decided that's what it's called so get used to it).
skintchicken
thanks for the answer. KT sounds good to me.
MMATycoon
It'll still be called Kickboxing in most places by the way - just KT when we're short on space.
ajperok
I am hoping these K1 fighters will not be included in any fighter rankings or manager rankings since it isn't the same game.
haystax
I like TK-1.
Guest
Its not kickboxing ... its muay thai? Unless you outlaw the clinch ???
Guest
no love for jiu jitsu in this game. should of been a 1-150 submission hidden and there should be a sub grappling league if theres a k-1 league.
Guest
grappling organization was an idea I had about a possible organization to run.. but after some research I found there wasnt enough people wanting to do all ground/clinch to try and risk running an org of that type
Nemesis84
I'm torn now! I want to keep running my Clothing company but now there is K-1 rules added making it easier to run a K-1 Org I want one of those too Liking the KT name also! colm
Yea need some ADCC up in here next.
Guest
Is boxing and ADCC coming up or will it stick to kickboxing and MMA? I like KB as abbreviation because it makes sense.
MMATycoon
Yeah KB might have worked better. Ah well, it's pretty much all done now anyway, so it's staying as KT No plans for just ADCC or boxing just yet. I think that they'd probably be a bit thin on content but who knows... maybe we'll just have specialist tournaments that people can enter instead. Guest
Will there be any kind of differental on the roster should an Org decide to host both kind of fights? Or is it something we will just have to note ourselves, not that its a big deal, just curious
Bern
Just a quick question so i'm clear on this. There will be Clinching in the Kickboxing matches?
Guest
Clinching is allowed as far as I can gather Look at it as Muay Thai rather than Kickboxing
Guest
I just noticed on the fighter list page a tab for "mma" or "kickboxing" is that to show the mma roster then switch to kickboxing roster or what?
MMATycoon
It shows their kickboxing hype / rank.
Guest
will this fully restrict people from trying takedowns? And in real K-1 you aren't allowed to clinch lol Will there be a Sub Grappling League? Disappoint...it is pretty much already K-1 tycoon, top p4p fighters are strikers with defensive grappling, you can't tango at the high level as a grappler with defensive striking maybe I'll have to make a grappling org lol

Guest
Have been reading on Sherdog that there are rules being sanctioned for combat BJJ fights that allow striking on the ground. Maybe this is something that someone could have a try with.
skintchicken
when exactly did/will the KT rules be usable?
