crap...

Ok, this is a little embarrassing... I didn't realize I was in over my head in creating a gym, until I read the thread called Bankruptcy...

A few days back I opened up a gym in Los Angelas called Jeff Li's mma, It was one of the recommended cities, I also noticed there were no low fee gyms around the 300-400 dollar range, with several trainers or more, so I reasoned that it would be a good place to get a gym started there. And that it should attract those newer managers that couldnt afford to pay 600$+ per week for good training.

There is one other gym which has a ct trainer, but it is highly over crowded, so at the time I didnt think of that gym as competition, I mean who wants to join an over crowded gym, when you could join one that just opened up and has absolutely no one else training there which means you would get the best training possible with 1 elite DT coach(the second day, that's all I had, after I noticed no one joining my gym, I foolishly added a wrestling elite coach, which was just a couple hours ago about a day later, yet just before I read the bankruptcy thread.)

So to be honest, this is not making sense to me, as I am only charging 125$ per week, and I have 2 elite trainers.

Actually there is one fighter in my gym. But he is my friends fighter, and although I read some where that I am not supposed to do that because it could "look" like I'm cheating, I am not a cheater, so its not what it looks like. If I was cheating, I wouldn't be posting this, nor would I had even mentioned my friend... Just wanted to clear that up.

Now back to my main point. So is there any advice for me? Did I screw up? I don't wait to lose all 9 of my fighters, or any of them for that matter. Please help me out with some advice.

Don't think about it man, I'd much rather the money go towards the gym or your fighters than my overpaid ass :P

The thing im saying is that it takes a bit of time, maybe you need a sparbot or something when you start getting fighters.

Hey, I'm very new to the game, and of course have some young fighters, but I checked out LA and would have my fighters training at your gym if I had any in LA. just FYI...

Hmm I think that the recent bug where almost all the fighters would get thousand of dollars of money from nowhere is not helping you. That said, the whole in-game economy is actually flawed. There is too much money around for a small gym like yours to make it Im afraid. Fighters will easily just choose better (and more pricey) gyms instead.

Sent you $50k so you have time to think about it. No need to ever pay back (I got plenty). My suggestion is that you go for the whole 9 yards with your gym meaning that you start pushing the price up and hire more elite coaches and see what happens. There is always demand for more elite public gyms but Im not sure about low range gyms anymore...

Allright, this guy just kinda proved me wrong lol. :dancing: Anyway IMO there is more demand in the elite gyms atm. Even Mr.Dynamite's fighters will move to more greener fields pretty soon when they have more money in their pockets.

Ok, I just added 2 more coaches and upped the fee to 250$ a week. I'm going to bed now, when I wake up, I will see if anyone has joined... If not should I add more coaches?

Anyway, thanks for the donations calmlikeabomb and predicted. Greatly appreciated.

I would have my fighter join the gym..but he is a MT specialist..and he needs to improve his kicks and all now..and u dont offer that..but dont worry..new fighters might join cos of the low number of fighters there..planning to add more coaches soon?

basically try to add some elite level coaches. ill give u some pointers on what works well for training so u can offer the best possible training:

for striking defense/punches u can hire a dual elite boxing/muay thai coach and this will be perfect standup training for punches and i would reccommend putting to mostly striking defense. then u can hire a dual elite Wrestling/BJJ coach and have him teach defensive grappling/ground and pound. this basically will provide perfect defensive grappling training and amazing ground and pound training (not sure if its as worth it for the gnp tho). u already have a single elite wrestling coach so this guy is perfect for takedowns and takedown defense training. and lastly imo u should hire a triple elite MT/Boxing/Wrestling coach who will provide u with perfect clinchwork training. if u want u can add a single elite MT coach eventually to do kicks/knees/elbows. aside from that u can also do a single elite BJJ coach for ur sub offense training.

but be warned because hiring all of the coaches here that i mentioned are going to cost a hell of a lot in lump sum signing fees. so think about if u want any of the coaches i mentioned and u dont have to add them all right away just think about what u can afford for now and if worst comes to worst then u can survive a while. so after u have all these coaches the only thing u are missing would be 4 star or more sparbots which is pretty much the minimum u would need to attract people to ur gym. finding sparbots is extremely difficult and u usually have to create them in order to get a sparbot into ur gym. im just saying this because i have advertised several times on the forums in search of a 4.5-5 star sparbot and i have offered to pay them and all that i didnt even set a price just said we will talk about a wage and i have never received any replies for this. but maybe its just because people dont like me :weeping: ...

and one last thing is that if u have fighters with money u can fly them into LA and have them train at ur gym since its already empty and has good training. it will cost for the flight there and 100$ per day but like i said if u have the money on the fighter then u can do that to help ur gym out and get good training at the same time.

anywho i hope this helps and good luck with ur LA gym!
