Stupid woman There are lots of working dogs for hunting/herding/service dogs etc..., but dogs as pets far outnumber them. I have two mutts, they are both lame but I like them.

Skap
I like chihuahuas and if you youtube it they use them for search and rescue dogs in places like japan. They are small and can move into small spaces larger dogs cant after a earthquake, making them perfect to find your ass under a fallen building

Scooby
We don't have earthquakes where I stay, yet... and I'm not tolerating a chihuahua just to wait for a natural disaster to happen for it to prove it's value... In the meantime I want a Presa Canario

Guest
The stereotypical American family is a white picket fence, 2.3 kids and a dog. I can't think of anything more American than keeping a dog as a pet. Next thing you know, she'll be telling you that the Japanese don't like karaoke or rape porn. Barely anyone in either of these countries eats dog meat. It is actually illegal in Korea due to most dog farms using very inhumane slaughter practices, but some old people eat it as a delicacy. It is legal in China, but not really all that common. It really isn't a very good tasting meat, so it has dropped in popularity as China's wealth has grown and people have been able to afford better sources of protein. Having dogs as pets in far, far more popular than eating them in both of these countries. Personally, I have no problem with people eating dog as long as the animals are treated properly. What makes a dog any less ethical to eat than a pig, a cow, a deer, or a chicken?
