This thread is a compilation of people with poor argumentative skills arguing for and against in a black and white issue.

at one point reading this i thought similar thoughts. Clearly no one is budging from their stance so why continue arguing.

I think multi's are an issue, but I'd have to disagree with the part about more multi's than non. If that's the case, please don't tell me. I don't even want to know that.

 

Fact #5: There's a very small market/fan base for this style & pace of a game. 50/50 at best.. and that's not including all the people who reroute their IP address or use proxy servers.

There are way more multies than non multies in this game, always has and probably always will be.

The ones with the greatest indignation of alleged multies, are more often than not, multies them selves.

 

Shit like this is unnecessary bullshit that just takes Mikes time away from something constructive, user gets booted and doesn't come back. The only multies that come back instantly, are the true scum-fuckers of this game, like Humors, Splash, Misfit, Castor etc...

 

Those fuckers pop straight back under a different ID and continue harassing other members of the game with their trolling, ignorance.

 

Now, people can have a varied opinion of Mentor, but he has always done a lot for the game, for a long time now,,, who cares if he has another account or has done so in the past.

 

Go after the fuckers that do nothing but diminish other managers joy of the game and contribute nothing positive.

Fuck those arseholes,, but I still don't care if they are multies, unless its in the extreme.

When people abuse it badly, they always get nailed, and that's how it should be.

I lolled when I saw that, you know he's actually a decent chef apparently. I respect that. Allegations of him being a multi is a satisfyingly witty joke. (About castor as highlighted above)

 

Well, whether Mentor is a multi or not, he's done many good things for the game (other than owning GAMMA and can crushing back in the 2009-2011 days which was really sad to watch.) Mentor is a very active manager and comes up with ideas and applies them. We don't have managers who put enough dedication in this community. I was never a fan of mentor, I actually disliked him at one point because of what I mentioned earlier. I just see that now he's trying to reform the game in a semi-adequate way (rather than the annoying bullshit which was pulled in the olympic thread.)

This isn't a trade two good things for one bad action. Obviously we can never know if Mentor had any true negative outcomes due to his actions but there's a real chance his actions caused at least one person to not get a VIP account. That one paid account outweighs all his non-VIP multi's.

A no brainer, way worse than more individual users, but a hell of a lot better than very few individual users,

 

So because something is broken we should allow people to break set rules in order to test ideas for loopholes? Here's another real world comparison for you than...should I be allowed to start a company and test wildly crazy, or even safe, ideas of ways to generate revenue/profit and should they fail walk away from said company with no recourse? IE - bankruptcy and being held accountable for those actions financially at the very least?

Well, in RL, you wont get personally bankrupt if you play your cards right when you set up the company, and simply start again with the same customers under a new company name/ID.

Only poor people and idiots get personally bankrupt if they fuck up their business.

Thing is he didn't keep them apart, and you have no idea if he caused anyone to leave.

Most of my supportive comments have been based on him having one or two accounts from the past, as came forth early in this thread.

With further info, it now looks like he was possibly abusing his multies to some extent, so Mike needs to look at it and make his decision on what to do about it, if anything.

But, i have data on several people who have admitted having another account and some are writing in this thread.

Some of them have even admitted so on this forum.

Logging on to a friends account "who's on a break" to set his training, sliders, accept fights and transport,, etc... same thing albeit less serious.

The thing is, because of the idiocracy of the lynch mobs this forum breeds, I would NEVER out any of them, as I see nothing wrong with it what so ever, its a victimless crime.

But, if I saw some of them scumfucking noobs over with their (maybe temporary) alternate ego, I would out them fast.

The current success of this game/site is debatable.

To me, it keeps getting better and better.

If this game had 500 users, it would be much harder getting new players in.

When we reach 15-20k users, we can launch a MAJOR multi hunt, clean sweep the area and maybe end up with 3-5000 individual users, afte rthat sweep, but the game can't afford a major sweep right now.

 

 

As has been stated perhaps Mentor's actions weren't nearly as far reaching as Steel Penn's but they obviously were used for his own gain, be it either through his company or manager account, and no matter how much you try to argue the opposite there's no solid way to know what negative and/or positive results came from those actions with regards to others. The one thing we know for sure is that HE gained from them.

I am not at all trying to argue the opposite.

My point is simply, if it's MAJOR, deal with it,, if it's MINOR leave it alone.

I'm not saying he should be ousted from the game but at the very least there should be the immediate deletion of any of his multi's, perhaps some sort of Tycoon money fine, a hype hit to his org, or even put GAMMA on the general market.

Something that Mike takes fairly consistant critique for is the lack of consistancy in the game, either meaning updates, or punishment for these sort of issues. Well here's a good chance to start establishing some imo.

Mike is awesome with his constant updates, I'd rather he carried on spending his time on developing the game, than wasting massive time on this, no question.
