You got schooled for 23minutes by a 24 year old and then landed an all-or-nothing shot. You were lucky to land that punch as I was dominatint you with ease.

I'm looking forward to fighting you. Probably the biggest test of my career so far, but it's gonna be a fucking war so let's give the fans their moneys worth.

I was supposed to fight Aimo Pamaus but looks like his manager was on his way out of the fight game so props to Olympia Unchained and his manager Scott for stepping up on short notice to fight. Now I've got 3 wins in the promotion, I'm looking towards that title and a great fight with Shogun.

I bought a new laptop, so i should be able to pop out a few more rankings then I have been. It was a chore to do it on the piece of shit Ipad that I had been using mostly and I didnt like to go hang out in my cold basement to use the desktop in the winter. I recently hired Vlad Advalov to help out with the org. Vlad will be mainly handle recruiting for now, but he can certainly help anyone out if they have an urgent issue or request that anyone needs attended too.

 

Two titles were contested at Wednesday nights show, so I will do rankings for the 185 and 155 divisions.

 

155 Champion: Trent Cotchin

A 3 fight win streak culminated in Cotch taking the title from Chiaramanda in a strong performance. Cotchin outstruck the former KT champion in impressive fashion, not even needing to use his grappling advantage. Cotchin will make his first defense against former challenger Kokoszaka.

 

1. Dominik Kokoszka

Kokoszka has gone an impressive 7-1 in Ascension. His only loss was a title shot against former champion Chiaramanda. Kokoszaka and Cotchin are pretty evenly matched on paper so it should be a close and competitive fight.

 

2. Ossilus Chiarmanda

Chiaramanda's run at LW champion came to a close at Ascension 0315, but the striking star is definitely not out of the title picture by any means. At 5-2 in Ascension with a win over the current WW champion Chiaramanda has had an impressive run and is still relatively new to mma. He will rematch with #3 contender Matt Kuchar to decide who gets the next title shot.

 

3. Matt Kuchar

"Kooch" has gone a respectable 4-2 at Ascension against the top of the LW division. He rebounded from back to back close decision losses to Chiaramanda and Tonga to take consecutive wins over Tucker and Perfect. He's one win from challenging for the title again and it comes in a chance to avenge a close decision loss occurred when challenging Chiaramanda for the strap.

 

4. En Sabah Nur

"Apopcalypse" has gone 6-2 in Ascension, but has come up just short of getting a title shot on two occasions. The elderly slugger combines fantastic grappling with a powerful right hand to string together an impressive run. He's about two wins from a title shot, but it will be a great story to see the career sparbot make a run at Ascension glory.

 

5. Kukulcan Tonga

Tonga has had mixed results in Ascension with a 1-1 record. Both fights have been against top competition so Ascension management is still high on the Guatemalan as a future contender. The striking ace welcomes new comer Better Dead to Ascension at 0325.

Champ: Jason Sturd Jr

What else can you say about Sturd other then "The guy's a stud" 5-1 in Ascension title fights. 12-1 in Ascension overall. "The New Prototype" has been dominant over the MW division since Ascension's rebirth a little over a year ago. Harrison Yates has emerged from the pack to challenge Sturd yet again at 0408.

 

1. Harrison Yates

Yates came up just short the first time he collided with Sturd for the MW title, losing a contentious split decision to the champion. He dropped his next fight to the always formidable Arman Shaker but has since strung together a four fight winning streak to get another shot at the prestigious Ascension MW title.

 

2. Darren Lockyer

The definition of "Grizzled Veteran" Lockyer has held the title in four different organizations. He won his Ascension debut with a decision over former title holder Matt Kroblur. Lockyer is primarily a boxer but makes up for his limited attack by having spicy venom in his hands. He next takes on Veikko Pilvi.

 

3. Howard Stern

The longtime MW stalwart, Stern has been involved in the title picture nearly his entire Ascension career. 2-1 in title shots, Stern came up short in his last fight which was a #1 contender bout vs Yates. The veteran grapple has gone an impressive 9-4-1 in his Ascension career. A win in his next bout vs Paha Hemmo will put him right back in the title picture.

 

4. Charles McGuire

EPL veteran McGuire had a nice MW debut, beating former champ Kroblur by decision. He came up short in his next bout taking on longtime champ Sturd Jr. in a once sided fight. The durable grappler features a dangerous ground game that might be the best in the MW division.

 

5. Benedict Arnold

Arnold's entire Ascension career has seen him fighting nothing but the top shelf of MW's, as he has only fought men who have once held the Ascension strap. Arnold will likely need two more wins to get a shot at the title but he is on the cusp.

"The Fox" Don Diego (206485) defeats Darren Lockyer to become NEW Middleweight Champion of Ascension. Adding another impressive Title to his long resume of Championship wins http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/tinybelt.gif

 

The Champion had no answer for "The Fox".

 

Diego was in control from the start, using technical boxing and powerful uppercuts before closing the distance with the much larger man. Diego was much smaller but his speed and power showed, as Lockyer could only take so many damaging blows from close range from the powerful New Zealander.
