It means the same as Twitter, but the word itself is so different that it doesn't come off as just a poorly satirized version of the original social media. It's both a noun and a verb, which means it's also easy to turn it into chirps and re-chirps and whatnot. Personally, I don't like names such as TycoonTalk or FightBuzz, they sound quite bland in my opinion. Then again, so does Facebook, so I guess the name doesn't really matter.
