Jack Daniels defeats Frank Thompson by TKO (Strikes) R3 3:14*

Jack "Scotch"Daniels (3-1) and Frank Thompson (1-1) battled to a Fight Of The Night performance in the 150th fight in USFC history! Both men looked to establish their clinch game early, each landing a few good shots. Daniels started to take control as the round wore on and began to mix up his strikes, landing powerful knees to the body and head of Thompson before the bell. Daniels clinched early in the second and worked Thompson with takedown attempts while continuing to land good punches and knees. Daniels retook the clinch immediately in the third and turned up the heat landing kees and hooks before landing an uppercut that rocked Thompson at the two minute mark. Thompson continued to show the toughness that keeps him a threat in any fight, but Daniels was relentless with his accuracy and the steady punishment finally dropped Thompson with under two minutes left in the contest. "Scotch" took his opportunity to throw with reckless abandon, forcing the ref to step in. Marking the 111th finish in org history, both warriors gained the applause of the crowd in this historical battle! Daniels looks good and poised for a big fight while Thompson, always a crowd favorite, will surely make another high profile fight no matter who's next.

Victor Stoic defeats Ez Muney by TKO (Strikes) R1 2:21

Victor Stoic (4-4) looks to be a win away from a title shot after disposing of Ez Muney (1-1) midway through the first round. The co-main event highligted the ground and pound as Stoic took Muney down early and began to throw strikes. A nice elbow by Stoic set up the full mount where he finished Muney with a barrage of unanswered punches. As Stoic looks ahead to February 20th & 21st for the rankings to take shape around him, he now controls his own destiny in his quest for the championship. EZ Muney looks to get back into the gym immediately and I think we'll see him in action again mid to late March.

Jacare Romero defeats Steve Thompson by Submission (RNC) R1 4:28*

Jacare "Scorpion" Romero (2-0) gave us the lone submission on the card, defeating the always game Steve Thompson (1-2), after appearing overmatched early. Thompson looked dominant to begin the fight with a good clinch game. Romero attempted takedowns, pulling guard, and strikes, but Thompson defended everything while landing some good shots of his own. Obviously in control, Thompson looked a little cocky and slapped Romero in Diaz Brothers style. Romero came unglued, rushing Thompson, but the first takedown was defended. Romero, did not give up and charged again, this time taking Thompson to the mat where he unleashed hammerfists! Thompson panicked in getting back to his feet and gave up his back. The brown belt wasted no time sinking in the choke and Thompson smartly tapped. The two shook hands after the fight without mention of the slap that changed the momentum of the fight.

Mugsy Keller defeats Cedric Jackson by TKO (Strikes) R1 1:10

"The Stickup Kid" Mugsy Keller (4-2) dominated Cedric "The Flash" Jackson (2-9) in a fight that demonstates the need for an option to pass out mutiple OTN awards in the same category. Keller worked his clinch game at will while feeling out his opponent early in the first. Jackson just didn't get anything going, looking timid and awkward, stumbling a bit in the process. Mugsy put a mighty uppercut right on the Jackson's chin that sent him back into the cage. The New York favorite rushed in and put his opponent out cold while looking to the ref to save his hapless victim. After another brutal barrage the ref finally stepped in to help the unconscious Jackson. Mugsy gave the ref a piece of his mind, shouting abuse at the incompetent official. That ref better get low fast! Everyone knows "The Stickup Kid" is the boss in Montreal and New York!

Anon Ymous defeats Nixy Souch by TKO (Strikes) R1 3:46

Anon Ymous (2-0) showed good ground and pound to open the main card as he defeated Nixy "Nitro Nix" Souch (2-5) in the first round. Opening with a takedown, Ymous fended off two sub attempts by Souch, who then defended the kimura in return. Ymous transitioned to side control and Souch looked to gain a better position while dodging strikes. At the three minute mark, Ymous landed a couple of nice punches followed up with an elbow that put Souch in trouble. Souch ate another elbow that rocked him while Ymous postured up and landed two more hard shots that prompted the referee to jump in early, drawing boos from the crowd. Souch gave no argument and Ymous won the crowd back with his after fight speech, both showing the class of veteran martial artists.

Sergiu Petrescu defeats Jasper Irving by Decision (Unanimous)

Sergiu Petrescu (2-0) dominated Jasper Irving (0-1), winning the fight 30:26 on all three judges' cards. Petrescu opened the fight defending Irving's attempt to take the fight to the ground before clinching up and landing shots to the head and body. A huge uppercut dropped Irving who stood up and received another that had him badly hurt and bleeding. Irving showed heart and kept his composure while dodging Petrescu's attempts to finish as the round came to a close. Petrescu landed a stinging shot in the second, keeping Irving defensive, but Irving finally scored a takedown and passed into full mount! Irving decided to control and the only offense landed was a snot strike landing on Petrescu's shoulder. The third round went down the same as the second, with Petrescu contolling the fight on the feet until taken down just before the final horn. Petrescu looks ready for bigger competition while Irving still looks to get the first win of his young career.

Lunt Cicker defeats Newt Boone by TKO (Strikes) R1 4:37

Lunt Cicker (2-2) broke down Newt Boone (0-1) with a methodical performance. Getting the early takedown, Cicker softened up his opponent with steady striking while advancing position. Boone could do little more than attempt to slow Cicker's progression. Boone was overwhelmed with a steady rate of punishment and at the four minute mark Cicker delivered an elbow that broke the camel's back! Out of it, Boone began to flail his arms while Cicker rained down shots and the ref appropriately jumped in to save the defenseless fighter!

Patrick Burns defeats Nash Banks by Decision (Unanimous)

Patrick"Fire God" Burns (1-0) wins his MMA debut in a one-sided performance over Nash Banks (0-1). Banks initiated the clinch to begin the fight and Burns made him pay by lighting him up with several strikes! Banks' takedown attempts were repeatedly stuffed, forcing him to try the clinch again in order to get in close. This time Burns went for the takedown and then for a couple of sub attempts before the end of the round. Burns took the fight back to the mat to begin the second and nicely defended Banks' sub attempts while trying to get the ground and pound going. Burns began to connect with good shots as the round came to a close and looked to be in complete control. Banks cliched early in the third, but Burns scored another takedown and controlled the action until a referee standup. The two closed out the fight with a high amount of action, both swinging away! The crowd cheered, but neither man was able to land anything significant leaving an easy decision for the judges.

Harold Boone defeats Bobby Bilkington by KO (Punches) R1 1:21*

Harold Boone (3-1) showed spectacular power in a Knockout Of The Night performance over Bobby "Buster" Bilkington (6-8)! Both men came to fight and there was very little to the 'feeling out' process as the two began to throw shots from the opening. Boone threw some wild shots at the one minute mark and Bilkington showed the poise of a veteran fighter as he nicely slipped the barrage. Boone then tightened up his shots as he landed a jab that seemed to freeze Bilkington. Boone put a cross behind it and followed with a good body shot. As everyone waited for Bilkington to launch back, Boone didn't wait and unloaded a right, a left, another right, and a final shot that sent Bilkington down and out! It's another impressive win for Boone who takes out an MMA vet in dramatic fashion! Bilkington, always the warrior, promised to come back "twice as hungry" which drew applause from the crowd.

Dave Williams defeats Kevin Hordeen by Decision (Unanimous)

Dave Williams (1-1) opened the night with a decision win over Kevin "The Coffin" Hordeen (2-20). Williams scored the early takedown where he worked Hordeen over with ground and pound for the entire first round. Williams scored the takedown again in the second, but Hordeen stood right back up, only to be taken down again! Hordeen put all of his effort into standing back up, but Williams was too strong and continued to land with the ground and pound from full mount. Hordeen decided to roll and attempt to stand, but gave up his back while eating too many shots and was rocked just before the bell. Williams started the third by crossing the cage and taking Hordeen back to the mat. Hordeen never quit trying to stand, and continued to eat the ground and pound from Williams in the process. The crowd applauded both fighters for an all out effort, but it was a one-sided affair as Hordeen just didn't have an answer for Williams' wrestling.

It was another great night of fights with lots of GnP and brutal finishes! Give it up for all of these warriors and congratulations to the winners!

DIAMOND DOLLAR

"Looks like Harris has officially gone AWOL, so rather than wait for his b*tchboy self to return, I want to thank the boss for finding me a new opponent. I'm not the type of guy that likes to sit on my ar*e all day and play candy crush... i'd rather fight. Shoutout to my new opponent Gregory Campion, hopefully you gain a few new twitter followers from that mention. I don't have as much distain towards you as I did Terrence Harris, because unlike that son of a gun you actually put your money where your mouth is and agreed to fight me. However, the outcome for you is going to be the exact same. You are going to lose, and in convincing fashion. I give you 3 minutes (an incredible 60 seconds longer than my originally intended opponent). The 265lbs division is mine now, this is merely a stepping stone towards the title."

In response to Diamond Dollar's pre-fight remarks, a spokesman for Gregory Campion issued the following statement:

"Mr. Campion appreciates Mr. Dollar's kind words regarding his willingness to fight, and offers his own gratitude and respect for Mr. Dollar's willingness to fight him. As to the other comments, Mr. Campion prefers to stay in the gym and leave the trash talking on the garbage heap where it belongs, as any gladiator who prefers to do his talking in the ring is inclined to do. If Mr. Dollar is even a fraction as good as he makes himself out to be, then he will have earned Mr. Campion's respect, regardless of the outcome of the fight. Until then, let Mr. Dollar prepare himself for fight night, and on that night let him speak as a gladiator instead of as a promoter."

Breaking News in sports: Jason Voorheez makes his first comment to the press in a month.

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w10.jpg

I have been training long and hard for my comeback fight. I'm not much of a trash talker, but I feel good about this fight. I have been working on some key skills that will help me win this fight. 10 days starts the countdown to Voorheez Returns Celebration. That celebration will be full of blood, broken skulls and bones. Most importanty broken hearts. Maybe I will put another man into retirement.

Saturday night saw the UFC and USFC rankings shook up as Benson Henderson halted Brandon Thatch's championship run and Luis Cruz slowed George West Jr's run at the title. BJJ practioners rejoiced as the ground game trumped the stand up game in both main events! In a sport where raw power has grabbed recent headlines, we are reminded that MMA is cerebral, a thinking man's game, and that skill and technique will win out over brute force!

Luis Cruz defeats George West Jr by Submission (Kimura) R1 4:55

In a classic boxer vs grappler match up, Luis Cruz (4-0) handed George West Jr (6-1) the first loss of his career with a submission victory late in the first round. West Jr, a powerful striker, looked to have his fight plan working early as he attempted to land looping shots to the body while connecting to Cruz's head. Cruz seemed to be having trouble keeping his feet set as he was forced to remain on the move while looking to counter with a takedown. At the one minute mark, West Jr surprisingly closed the distance to initiate the clinch. Cruz, known for his intelligence, immediately seized his opportunity and took his opponent down to the mat where he began to aggressively work for an arm triangle. West Jr attempted to improve his position, but Cruz would not allow it and managed to free his leg from half guard and crank the arm, forcing West Jr to tap out! The victory shakes up the rankings in the middleweight division as West Jr was expected to challenge for the title with a win. Instead, Cruz has quietly risen to the top, with an undefeated record of his own, and has now made a name for himself among the division's elite. It is widely believed that Cruz is still on the rise and needs time to be at championship caliber, but with a strong perfomance against a formidable fighter, he now sits as the top contender at 185!

Maxx Elorde defeats Marcin Elsner by KO (Strikes) R1 :26*

Maxx Elorde (4-0) delivered the Knockout Of The Night in the co-main event, taking out previously unbeaten Marcin "Bimber" Elsner (5-1) just 26 seconds into Round 1! The victory came as a surprise to most, but all were shocked at how dominant Elorde looked against Elsner, a fighter believed to be poised for a title shot with a win. This was a completely one-sided affair as Elorde connected with Bimber's chin straight away. Elsner pushed forward and Elorde made him pay by dropping him with a shot to the side of the head! Elsner, who had worked extensively on his takedowns in preparation for this fight, did not get a chance to show his ground game as Elorde wisely waived him back up to his feet. With blood pouring from a cut, Elsner bought the feint by Elorde who then landed a monsterous right hand that sent his opponent back to the canvas. The momentum of the strike allowed Elsner to roll into a backwards somersault and spring back to his feet against the cage! As Elsner came forward, it could be seen that he was on wobbly legs! Elorde landed a shot to the body before going upstairs with three huge right hands in succession! As everyone wondered what was keeping Elsner up, Elorde closed the deal with yet another big punch that turned out Bimber's lights! It was an emphatic statement by Elorde who picks up his fourth win in as many fights and now resides among the division's best!

Svork Silva defeats Rhaegar Targaryen by Decision (Unanimous)

Svork "Strangler" Silva (9-5) picks up his ninth victory against boxer Rhaegar Targaryen (5-3) in a less than dramatic battle of middleweight contenders. Silva, a wrestler, immediately landed the takedown, but was unable to do anything significant before a referree stand up. Silva then clinched, where Targaryen attempted to do some damage, but was unable to connect with anything significant. Silva scored another takedown just before the buzzer to close the round. Round 2 began with Silva clinching up and eventually getting the takedown. Although he was able to land a few strikes from top position, the ref stepped in to get the fighters back to a standing postion.Silva scored another takedown and was content to ride out the time in a dominant postion before another ref stand up as the round came to a close. The third round was as the first two, with Silva scoring the takedown, then stalling until a ref stand up. With a minute to go, Targaryen began to let go of his hands, but it was way too little, way too late, and Silva was declared the victor on all three judges' cards.

Cilian Lynch defeats Matt Hiller by Submission (Armbar) R1 2:55

Cilian "Irishman" Lynch (2-0) lived up to the hype surrounding him as he made quick work of fitness guru Matt "The Super-Vegan" Hiller (2-4)! Lynch looked to land an early strike, but Hiller was well out of range. Lynch managed to squeesze in a decent leg kick while fending off Hiller's takedown attempts, but Hiller finally managed to drag him to the mat, landing in a dominant position. As Hiller looked to advance to full mount, Lynch stayed busy and brought the fight back to full guard. Hiller looked to take a breather, but Lynch secured an arm and flipped onto his belly where he was able to fully extend and force the early tap! The outspoken Irishman Lynch wasted no time in calling out the champion after his victory and looks to be cageside for Neyamr Junior's title defense on the 28th. With an impressive skill set, an unbeaten record, and the desire to become the champion, it would be hard to deny Lynch the title shot for long!

Vasily Rohdin Bibby defeats Fred Frederiksen by Submission (Armbar) R2 2:35

Vasily Rohdin Bibby (2-2) gets the biggest win of his career with a submission victory over former champion Fred "The Fredinator" Frederiksen (5-8)! Both men came to fight as Bibby opened by landing good shots to the body and Frederiksen attempted to bully his opponent while stuffing takedowns. Frederiksen's time working takedown defense in preparation for this fight seemed to pay off as Bibby just couldn't muscle his opponent down. But, with two minutes to go in the round, Frederiksen decided to take Bibby down instead! Bibby worked one sub attempt after another until the end of the round and moved ahead on points. Bibby opened the second with a solid uppercut but Frederiksen just waived him forward. Bibby then went back to work on the body before the former champ veered away from his training again and took Bibby back down! This time Bibby only needed one attempt to lock up the armbar and forced The Fredianator to tap from the pain! Bibby attempted to hype himself up after the fight, but just couldn't get the right words out and ended up looking like a bit of tool! Luckily for him, results matter more than talk and he keeps his championship hopes alive with an impressive finish!

Corey Terror defeats Christopher Lovelair by TKO (Strikes) R2 :05

Corey "Superjoint" Terror (3-2) stopped Christopher "The Second Coming" Lovelair (3-3) in a battle that wasted no time in getting to the action! Lovelair opened by clinching up where Terror landed a shoulder strike that bounced Lovelair's head backwards! Lovelair returned fire with a nice elbow, but Terror answered with a short punch that cut Lovelair! As Terror followed up by trying to land some knees, Lovelair looked to regain his wind before firing back some knees of his own. Both fighters exchanged, but it was Terror who was able to land the most punishment before breaking the clinch. Both continued to swing away at each other from the outside, but Superjoint continued to land the better strikes. Terror then clinched up and began to target Lovelair's cut, opening the nasty gash even more! After weeks of training the clinch, Terror looked to be in his element and began to take full control! Terror dropped Lovelair with a good uppercut and followed his rocked opponent to the mat trying to finish by Americana. Unable to secure the submission, Terror stood back up where he cracked The Second Coming in the ribs before dropping him again with a big right hand! The bloodied Lovelair tried to remain on the canvas, butt scooting, but the ref made him restand just as the horn sounded. Superjoint opened the second with a straight left that sent Lovelair down again! This time Terror pounced, dropping bombs on Lovelair before the ref dove in between them! That makes two big wins in a row for Terror who is flying under the radar towards the top of the division!

Noah Zelazny defeats Tom Tompson by Submission (Kneebar) R1 :40*

Noah Zelazny (2-1) earns Submission Of The Night honors against Tom Tompson (1-2) in a near flawless performance! Immediately diving in for the takedown, Zelansky remained calm, controlling Tompson who worked to regain his feet. Just when it appared that Zelanzy would be content to just control, he dropped backed for the leg and secured a beautiful kneebar! Neither men had time to break a sweat as this one was over in a flash! With two impressive finishes in a row, Zelazny has rebounded nicely form a debut loss by decision, showing reamarkable growth as a mixed martial artist!

Homer Thompson defeats Sin Cara by TKO (Strikes) R3 :41

Homer Thompson (3-2-1) looked impressive in stopping Sin Cara (2-4) early in the third round! Thomson came out striking, but Cara was able to pull guard and work for submissions. Despite being unable to land anything significant from top position, Thompson appeared to be in control most of the round. Thompson opened the second with a nice body shot, followed by a jab, and then a big punch that dropped Cara! Cara attempted to clinch up, but Thompson kept swinging away, hoping to land the shot that would bring the finish. Cara was able to dodge the wild power punching of Thompson, but one began to feel that if anything landed, this fight would be over. The third round opened with Thompson's gas tank still on full as he continued with a high volume of strikes. Cara attempted to counter with the takedown, but was kept in defensive posture. With all of the shots being thrown by Thompson, one was destined to hit the mark. With just over four minutes left in the fight, a brutal uppercut landed flush, putting Cara against the cage and out on his feet! The referee wasted no time jumping in to save the defenseless Cara before Thompson could unload more damage. It was a big win for Thompson who has knocked out 3 of his last 4 opponents with an 'all out' style that continues to make him a fan favorite!

Jesse Gonzalez defeats Darryl Maxwell by TKO (Strikes) R2 :51

Newcomer Jesse "The Gonz" Gonzalez (2-0) put on a striking clinic against the more experienced Darryl "The Demon" Maxwell (3-4)! Always a fan favorite, Maxwell brought the fight to The Gonz throwing kicks and looking for takedowns. But, Gonzalez had his number and countered everything with an impressive array of stikes! Maxwell continued to throw, and Gonzalez continued to counter with combinations, uppercuts, and straight shots. Maxwell began to dodge the jab, only to duck into uppercuts, and by the end of the first round this fight looked to be a complete mismatch. Gonzalez opened the second round by landing to the body as well as the head. Maxwell, never one to give up, continued coming forward with strikes of his own, but Gonzalez easily avoided all attempts while countering with impressive accuracy. As the first minute of Round 2 came to a close, Gonzalez began to head hunt. Maxwell looked to mix up his strikes by going to the body, but The Gonz unloaded with a flurry that had his opponent badly hurt! The ref had seen enough of the lopsided affair and stepped in to save Maxwell, who was borderline unconscious! It was a very impressive outing for Gonzalez in his USFC debut and a performance that is sure to bring him a big fight soon!

Laverne Reynolds defeats Borje Burman by Decision (Unanimous)

Laverne "Lava" Reynolds (2-1) and Borje "Bulan" Burman (2-3) earned the Fight Of The Night Award in a bout that resembled TWGC more than MMA. Burman launched a head kick early in the first to which Reynolds responded by rushing in and intiating the clinch. A few shots were thrown by each fighter in the first round, but it was apparent that this fight would be about cage control. Reynolds was the aggressor, trying to clinch up, and was able to take the round on points. Reynolds attempted to intiate the clinch to begin the second, but Burman scored the takedown and worked for a submission before standing back up. Reynolds responded again by clinching, then breaking the clinch, then scoring a takedown before restanding. Burman scored a takedown of his own, worked for a sub, but inactivity forced a ref stand up. Reynolds scored a late takedown, but Burman had done enough to even up the scorecards. The chess match continued in the third with Reynolds clinching and breaking twice before Burman landed another takedown. Neither man looked to do much on the ground and another ref stand up ensued. Burman clinched and Reynolds broke free. Reynolds then clinched and Burman broke free. The fight began to draw loud boos from the crowd, but many MMA fans were aware that a rare chess match was taking place. With a minute left, it was still anyone's round and fight, with the next successful move likely to determine the outcome. Reynolds then clinched and avoided the takedown, giving him the edge on the scorecards. It was a rare fight in which the element of control determined the victor, and with one minute left, we were on the edge of our seats to see who would make the final move to secure the win.

Training has been going well lately. It's good to see that my opponent isn't sitting idle either. I passed by his gym and saw him in a sparring session. His boxing looked ok, but he'll need to up his game even more if he wants to test me.

Yours one and only , the undisputed, undefeated LHW champion , Divock Origi :)

Luis Cruz

I took George West Jr. best and it still didn't phase me. I should have ripped his shoulder appart for calling me a pussy though. Enough about him, he was outclassed and needs to climb back up to even think about a rematch. My eyes are on the title. I want that belt and if I have to finish someone else to get to fight the champ I will.
