Maybe it was to help recover from his injury, but either way it was wrong and will taint his legacy. I don't really care about Diaz. We all know he does weed, and no one really cares. Roids on the other hand really hurt the sport. Are they making it a N/C since both failed? Perhaps he was given some meds by docs to help him through his injury and this is why he failed the test? At least this is what I'm hoping. I doubt his career was full of roids but obviously this was... As for Diaz,weed isnt that bad,doesnt change the way i feel about him one bit. Notice how Silva's Jan 19th results have not come in yet. PISS TESTS take a much shorter time to be analyzed and results returned, that is what Diaz got. As far as weed not being bad... it may not be, except when you sign a contract that specifically prohibits it and KNOW it's routinely tested for. Instead of actually training for the fight he kept getting high knowing he would be tested. That's one of the biggest fuck you's to the fans you could possibly do, get yourself suspended for something you know is coming, you have been tagged for a couple of times already yet you still can't lay down the blunt. RIF.org: According to Bennett, Silva was given out-of-competition blood tests on Jan. 9 and Jan. 19. An in-competition urine test was also administered on Jan. 31.
