Lets call it org politics, but in reality it's just Davies, that makes that the deal to fight Conne is off the table. I have messaged Mentor to see what's next, but he is on holiday so not likely to respond soon. My point is the same as JLP's those. Call it what you want but the deal is off the table so let it go Elsa. I didn't see the fight promised anywhere and a fight is never a done deal until the fight offers are accepted by both parties and that shit is locked in. It's all typical as is the part where it just needs to be let go and moved on from. Calling Page a can crusher seems like a really cheap way to avoid a fight with him. You said further pad his record in relation to a fight with Hoi which implies you think Page will beat him maybe? I don't know. Above all the nonsense, the thing that strikes me the most. You signed with GAMMA, you have had 2 fights with GAMMA and both of those fights were with the same guy. One guy you have fought in GAMMA and you are already trying to find super fights elsewhere? You can't even defend your title first?(not counting the obligatory rematch for Prado). I am genuinely not trying to start drama here and it's weird that I am talking about doing right by GAMMA but you always seem to do this. You could at least fight a couple fighters in GAMMA before super fight hunting like you always do. Always duck fighter's like Page because the fight doesn't benefit you, if you lose that fight you lose to fighter you called a can-crusher. You wan the Jason fight because even if you lose you get to say you lost to a legend. Once again the whole situation revolves around you picking and choosing fights that only benefit you win or lose. jefframrod Posted May 21, 2016 Report Share Posted May 21, 2016 Ok so I'm not the biggest fan of discussing the "behind the scenes" stuff on the forum but clearly some of this needs to be addressed. I've tried to play nice with Bjorn but I feel his version and my version are just too different to ignore. So I will make a couple of points here. The VERY FIRST message I received from Mentor enquiring about Connemara ends with him requesting that I get back to him soon as he is in talks with Syn and also with Scott about potentially sending Page over. My point here is that Page is already in the mix before Connemara was. So Scott never came in to hijack anything and Bjorn only seems to be throwing the fact that Scott is co-owner out there now after I pointed out to him that I wasn't about to screw over my business partner. To say the deal is "almost agreed" really is reaching, Mentor and Bjorn had agreed with each other clearly but not with myself. I was discussing with other org owners the possibility of deals that could be done involving a number of fighters, not just Connemara. My last message to both Mentor and Bjorn was regarding the fact I had heard Page was expecting to face Hoi, in fact he had signed to GAMMA already. I even suggested to Bjorn to do Hoi/Page with the winner getting Connemara. Next thing I know Bjorn has given Mentor money, Hoi has been released and both think that the fight has been agreed????? This is what was meant by us feeling that others were trying to call the shots in OUR org. The money? Well, let's just say in my opinion Mentor was going a bit overboard with what he felt was a fair trade for Hoi once I had said the next Connemara fight would take place in CEC, nowhere else (not meaning Hoi, meaning anyone). He had tried to sell me Hoi based on the hype of Connemara and not Hoi. I found it rather insulting he thought I was this stupid if I'm honest and I told Bjorn this. I don't know how much money Bjorn gave Mentor but he done it off his own back and not because I told him he would get the fight if he chose to do so. At this point Hoi was released. Again, nothing agreed with myself. Conclusion in my opinion is that Page/Hoi talks must have happened to some extent, I don't know how far those talks went, not my business really. Mentor and Bjorn were pushing a fight hoping that I would just go with it despite the fact I hadn't said yes to it. Scott never sabotaged this fight, I had issue with the way it was conducted, Bjorn knows this because I told him so. Myself and Scott agree completely and even if he had zero involvement in CEC i would still have issue with the way the negotiations were conducted. First of all, I got this message first from CEO of CEC Bradley Burns Hey man 2016-05-15 20:37:30Gus and Bjorn both are asking about Hoi, would you be willing to send him over to take on the great Connemara? Thanks. Which started the negotiations to begin with. Bradley offered Simba in exchange for Hoi which i felt was a poor offer, but i still agreed to after Bjorn agreed to do one free fight. I released Hoi on the day i was leaving on my trip, but found out a few days later that the fight was not happening. It seems there was a little miss understanding between Gus and Bradley about what they wanted to do with Conne in his next fight. In the mean time, Hoi is going to fight Page, which was the preferred option for GAMMA to begin with because Scott made us a very generous offer and it is a very high profile fight anyway. Unless someone suddenly backs out for some reason, this fight will be happening. I have also been talking to Scott, which happens to be Co-owner of CEC that if both Hoi and Conne win their next fight, we will make that fight happen after all, he "gave his word" that he will make that happen. It seems Gus is proposing that as well based upon his post above, so i see no reason for that to not happen if both fighters win. I sent you that message thinking you wanted Conne in GAMMA, which you did, you wanted the fight there and me and Gus felt like we made it clear he has been away from the org for his last 2 fights and he should fight next in CEC. Again, I was told this fight was a lock by someone, and I offerered Simba as potential if Gus wanted and you wanted him for 2 fights plus extra cash and that's when I told you to speak to Gus because I didn't feel that was fair...and it was Guses call, and he said no. I said he used to be a beast, but he might still be, only it's far harder to judge as his last few fights haven't been anywhere near the level of opponents he was used to fighting. I'm curious what version of Page will show up. If it's the one of the days of vs Dragneel etc, it's going to be a sick slugfest . I'm ranked number one in my division worldwide and even number 3 p4p. Some would say ( and have said), sit down and wait until you become number one p4p by seeing the others lose, but I'm not that type of fighter. I'm a destruction machine and I don't plan on stopping being myself anytime soon. I'm a totally different beast with unmatched KO power for this division. There has never been such a scary force at 145lbs and there might never be one again after me.
