Moment of silence

Exactly why I struggle to read the news or watch it. So heartbreaking.. Those people are not muslims in any way, they are extremist terrorists. Nowheres in the Quran is violence okay.

Exactly. It's horrible what the media is doing right now. Seems to me any I talk to about this issue who has watched this news thinks that Muslims = terrorist. Yet we are talking about less than 1% of the Muslim population and these guys aren't even real followers of Islam. They are using faith as an excuse to fuel their hate and justify their actions, hand-picking verses and then translating and interpreting as they please for their own sick agenda.

I am agnostic but my heart goes out to real muslims every where who are being persecuted more than ever before for people who are using their religion for violence and evil. This is not a religion issue, this is an issue of hate breeding more hate over generations.

My heart goes out to the people of Paris, France and the people all around the world who are affected by this and effected by hate and violence.

Seems like France sent Jets to Syria and dropped a few bombs. Not really what I was hoping for. Dropping bombs makes too many collateral damage and gives those bastards picture material to use in propaganda movies to recruit new fighters. Hopefully the military action against ISIS that will take place will be with groundtroops from now on.

It may be stupid but I think you need religion to fight religion, these guys just think like standard educated humans.

Well I am glad to announce Russia AND Iran have joined the coalition in the attack on isis...terrorist leader of Hezbollah issued a video statement offering solidarity and humanitarian support to those affected in France. It looks like THE WORLD is fed up with isis and I just pray they all work together to remove this threat to humanity

They have been threatening my country every day this week...just released a video claiming they r coming for our white house next. I am very on edge and am keeping vigilant when in public. I live 20 miles west of Philadelphia ..2 hrs north of white house 2 to 3 hours south of NYC

They would be idiots to try and storm our capital so soon after what happened in Paris. They would get their asses blown to pieces.

My saddest moment has been when guys I've known from the service have been saying not to let refugee's in the US. They need to come they need to be screened heavily but they need to be accepted (which sadly I know they won't if the repubs get there way). Hate to say it but a coalition can't do it unless their own people are the tip of spear. The US is still to bigoted to except people that they only know as the bad guys from the films/ HELL! Russia was the boogeyman not along ago so imagine if Cletus sees someone darker than him doing something it goes to another place. I talked to my state rep. though and already volunteered to help with any refugees I know a little Arabic and I will slap the shit out of any moron trying to be xenophobic plus I got a CCP

No, no, and fucking no. For the sake of common sense. This may be the humanitarian in you crying out, but it's flawed and will only hurt people here in the end. Let's play preventive defense.

We are the 3rd most populated country in the world.

THIRD. MOST. POPULATED. COUNTRY. IN. THE. WORLD.

Anybody thinking we need to take refugees (or even permit the majority of our population to breed) from other countries = moronic sentimentalism. It's a bad idea - many, many, many variables and reasons. One, we're overpopulated and there's a hundred other places to send those people. Bad idea because the security breach. Bad idea because it ruffles too many feathers of current citizens. You're pumping a bunch of warmongers with fuel for their fear and hatred. You're pumping them with war viagra and now a bunch of self-destructive war cry rallying people are searching for their inner rebel with a full fledged, rock hard, warboner from the cold depths of a fictional books hell.

Common sense, you don't take in refugees of war. You're opening up pandora's box of potential enemies and catastrophes. Every time a shot is fired in public, there's a bomb threat, a building gets hit by a plane or goes down because a bird goes through an engine, it's going to come down on the muslims / refugees / "terrorist". There's way too many americans with guns just waiting for a rallying cry to go shoot people over skin color and different beliefs.

It is a tragic what is happening at the moment but i agree with Karter in regards to the refugees. I mean think of it this way, if 100k move into Europe or the USA now, is there not a good 0.5 to 1% of those being potential terrorists, with fake passports? Most certainly there is. So imagine 500-1000 trained and armed terrorists running around Europe or some NATO ally?

You do not need to imagine it, as it is already happening. Paris is only the start.
