Yeah the reach thing is totally random, I made a FW on career mode 175cm tall and had a 185cm reach. BOOYAH

I added you by the way, no acceptance :'(

Also, why is it in CM's and not inches? So annoying

****

Okay I'm fucking done with playing online, the grappling is impossible with the slighest lag because the circle doesn't show any progress at all, or apparently the response is so fucking slow I'm mounted before I can even make a move to get up.

Haven't been online for a couple of days and am pretty busy after work for the next week but ill accept when i'm next online! :)

Any PS4 users have Rainbow 6 or the new madden as well? Also, any idea when the new fifa will be out or is it already out?

Playing on normal difficulty.

Haven't lost yet. Created a boxer. When I was losing, I got knocked down, they followed me to the ground, I reversed position, got into side control, and spams punches with zero energy until my opponent was out cold. That shit is lame.

I'm not saying the game isn't fun. The last one was fun. But the fighter movement in the cage is horrible. Counter Striking is hardly a viable option, and on the feet - standing - this is more like a "Tekken" than a MMA game. Imho I thought EA MMA was better as far as the stand up fighting and finishes go. UFC2 is still very robotic. Especially after you knock your opponent down and try to follow him to the ground. It just doesn't look like a real fight.

Don't get me wrong, for anybody who loves MMA games, and don't have any expectations past UFC 1, get it. you'll be entertained. but if you are like me and were really disappointed with UFC1 and were expecting a huge difference in UFC2, and on the fence about getting it, don't waste your time.

Yeah. There is certain positions in this game that are impossible to get out of even in online play. For example, if you get an opponent in back side position, or even sometimes the muy Thai clinch, it's game over, especially after you hit them a few times and they lose their energy.

This game does my head in.

The controls are too unintuitive and there are so many things to remember that I always end up doing the wrong thing. Why wouldn't you press down and kick if you want to do a low kick and up and kick if you want to do a high kick? Why forwards and backwards instead? Makes no sense.

I'm totally sick of people spinny kicking their way to a win too. I've been trying desperately to just counter strike and circle the proper way but you just get wheel kicked in the head.

Honestly, I just can't be bothered to learn all the bloody button combinations. People do things to me and I'm like "I have no idea how to do that".... Like sprawling into top position rather than just blocking a takedown. I can't even seem to defend a takedown full stop.

That is a well timed takedown defense or when they shoot a power takedown and you stuff it, usually.

I struggled blocking takedowns on the last game, I hated it compared to UFC undisputed 3, but I got used to it eventually. It's not perfect, but it is fun and if it's anything like the last game, they will release patches for it and make it more competitive and fun and less wheel kick spammy (I hope)

But to me, the problem is you are still getting used to the game when you are trying to play online, against people who had the last game and probably played the beta. So you are at an instant disadvantage. Try play offline, really get to grips with the game and then have a bash online and you'll find it more fun and competitive Mike. Just patience mate.

I'm honestly hating it. By this point I've had a hundred online fights and it's just the same old exploitable garbage over and over. Body-kick simulator 2016, no combos and that god-awful perk that makes you flop your arms at 200% speed when the opponent is injured. Christ, I could go on but it's not worth the energy.

Also, this was rather funny. http://prntscr.com/aiaczm

Takedowns use up no energy.

at least this one is easier to get a picked as top pick in TUF. I think on the last one I got picked 13th once, the rest of the times I was picked last.

I am terrible at this game. Barely made it through The Ultimate Fighter. A lot of losses and second chances. Two post-TUF fights on EASY difficulty, two losses. I seem to get tired way too easily compared to my opponents and I'm not even spamming. I can't see a way to improve stamina via training either. Still like the game though. One small thing, I wish the refs would rush in more to stop a fight. Oh and when they read out the tale of the tape they keep saying it's a 10 inch reach advantage when it's actually just a 2 inch adv. It's wrong all the time.

I've mainly been creating my own UFC in Custom Events. Pick the fights and watch them play out as a demo. Because I'm cool like that. Here are my inaugural Champions:

Heavyweight: Fabricio Werdum
Light Heavyweight: Jon Jones
Middleweight: Luke Rockhold
Welterweight: Georges St-Pierre
Lightweight: BJ Penn
Featherweight: Conor McGregor
Bantamweight: Renan Barao
Flyweight: Demetrious Johnson
W Bantamweight: Ronda Rousey
W Strawweight: Rose Namajunas

To increase the stamina u have to get a good ranking in the training games which then move training bar up to levels which could b stamina or something different training gives different results

I made a middleweight Submission specialist on Ultimate Team.

He is 18-13 last I remember.

I was doing horrible because since I am a submission specialist , as soon as I get a goot striker kicking me or punching me my character tended to drop down like a sack of potatos.

I realized I can move out of the way instead of just blocking , by blocking you can still get kicked or punched if your hands get tired but if you move out of the way you still have your stamina and have chance to counter attack which I use to attack their body to get their stamina even lower.

I then get them down when I find the chance , go to side control , get kimura , change it to armbar in between , and break their arms off.

Submission guys are OP if you know how to play it. Kick spamming and hoping to drop your opponent with strikes can go so far.

I was just about ready to throw the thing out the window the other day.

I would say I've got fairly decent at it now. The controls are certainly a bit more ingrained into my head. I've basically just played ultimate team and haven't bothered with any offline stuff. I got promoted to Div 3 but the step up in competition was just gigantic and I've gone 0-5 in Div 3. The problem seems to be that there are immortal builds in certain circumstances. I fought one guy who must have had nearly 100% skill from off your back. I was in his guard and he could get a guillotine in about half a second, whereas any move I did took about a second. So about 12 mins of the fight was him putting me in a guillotine from guard, me getting out of it easily, repeat. Probably 50 guillotines, none of which were ever close to getting a finish but I couldn't get out of the position. I also have no idea how to beat someone who blitzes you with those super fast puncher builds. I guess the only way is to just go toe to toe and throw massive hooks but I don't have a power puncher, so it'd be super low chance of working.

SO yeah, I've given up on ultimate team. The micro reward system is also too addictive and stressful, earning the points on a daily basis. If I do bother playing again I will probably just stick to fighting with real guys. I did get a fucking awesome KO a few days ago though, which I'll post when I can be bothered to download all the vids off my phone :)

I played career mode for a day and I think I was 13-0. I noticed a pretty steep step up in competition in that mode once you break into the top 10. Mendes must've hit a slump in the game cuz he was ranked 21 when I fought him when I was 25th, that was a tough fight since his overall rating was 95 to my 74 or something. I fought a Holloway listed as an overall 100 and I think my next fight was Frankie, who was also 100 overall. I believe my guy was 79 when I put the controller down. The only way I beat any of the guys who had massive stat advantages over me was spinning or step in body kicks and then a head kick, which got pretty boring. At first I could throw traditional combos but after a few fights that stopped working.

Haven't played it again since then and haven't played online at all cuz I found the lag on the last one sent me into too many murderous rages.

CK's analysis was pretty spot on.
