Mentor
not enough pictures of ufc ring girls. This is the main problem we need to fix, more chick pics will solve the inactivity issues.
markyosullivan
Pretty sure I've never seen MMA Tycoon so inactive before. It's dieing a slow death and that is pretty much obvious when you look at how much attention Syn's latest Supernova event got.
BillyRose
Pretty sure I've never seen MMA Tycoon so inactive before. It's dieing a slow death and that is pretty much obvious when you look at how much attention Syn's latest Supernova event got. Between this and BetMMA, it seems like at least 400 people are always online. To me, that seems like a healthy number for a community like this. Maybe I'm wrong. I sometimes question how Mike is drawing in new people. All I've ever seen in terms of recruitment is that "vote for us every day!" thing on aggregate sites. I think those went out of style with Minecraft in 2012. Beyond that, I've never even seen an Ad. Tycoon has very little social media presence, and a text-based game will only hold the interest of a certain type of person. It's a lot cheaper than you might think to get something seen by hundreds (or thousands) of new eyeballs. Trouble is, there's a bunch of stuff that needs fixing, so why introduce a new generation of gamers to something that's about to be changed? A catch-22. To give the game new life, it needs an overhaul - perhaps a 2.0 - and it needs a little pizzazz to go with it. Tutorial videos, ad campaigns, social media outreach. Like... have a subreddit for it. Use the official MMATycoon Twitter to interact with other things people see on Twitter. This place could find new life. It's just a lot of effort and I don't know if Mike has the time, energy, or frankly the inclination.

Multiple reasons for that impasse: - veteran managers are burning out due to the huge amount of time it takes to create their new crop of top guys. - no big (legendary) rivalries anymore - most of the elite managers (who have most op the top 50 p4p fighters as well) are calm and collected people, softspoken... guys like Whymer for example. - the commitment from Mike to this game doesn`t really seem to be there anymore either, what worries me. Hardly anything gets changed and the few things thay he wants to do are not appealing many of us at all. I hate to say this, but it seems like his betting site is 80% of his focus and that shows. 1
Slice
I hate to bring this up; but this place hasn't been the same since the whole Wolf and Aaron thing, I believe activity has been on a steady decline ever since that happened. Put a downer on the game for many top managers

Not gonna get into specifics, but he's stated before that the betting thing makes him more money. The difference is kind of significant. Can't blame him. I was wondering today how long at this level will it take that UFC RSS will be the most posted user in the forum? And I would never understand why Mike would not make new server with few changes that would attract new managers and bring old ones back? Forum of course should stay the same for both of them. JimCornette
I've gotten like 40+ referrals in a month of playing. I will bring this game back to life whether I have to do it all by myself or not.

I agree it takes long time to create a good fighter but at the same time this is a manager game and if you compare it to other good and popular managers games for example like Hattrick or others the time to build up team is even way longer. What is the problem? That first few months of training you cant really do nothing only once he is ready to fight. And how to fix it? Lets have amateur fights or something at the start of the training where you dont lose energy for example and can fight few times a month or even a week just like it happens in other professional combat sports. 2. That is true but how to change it? People need to be more on forum and chat. I would recommend to give something more than few spins if you post in forum. 3. And how that makes game less active? 4. This is the most easly fixed problem in the game. Mike should just add admins that would be able to do stuff in the game not just delete forum posts. Admins that could for example delete fighters, delete managers, add avatars and other stuff. Salvidor.

'That first few months of training you cant really do nothing only once he is ready to fight. And how to fix it? Lets have amateur fights or something at the start of the training where you dont lose energy for example and can fight few times a month or even a week just like it happens in other professional combat sports' I have been here a little more than a month and can see why someone might lose some interest. The time it takes to learn this game and train a good fighter is not for a lot of the microwave generation. I'm sure the above idea has been talked about many times and people have come up with good reasons why not to do it. I hit the forums hard when I started and did not just jump right into fights before reading a ton. After all that I still felt the need to reach out for a mentor. After more than a month I only have 3 fights under my belt because I would like to have good fighters. I can see in my short time here that many new members jump into fights without knowing how to play the game. They have their fighters fight right out of the gate and get picked apart by knowledgeable managers and leave the game after starting 0-6 or 1-5.. I'm guessing that getting killed quick in the game and the speed of the game is keeping some people from sticking around. By the way this is just my opinion and I could be dead wrong.
