Preview for IFC Wednesday Night Fights #4

Two titles will be on the line (the IFC 205 strap and the vacant IFC 170 belt) on the fourth edition of IFC Wednesday Night Fights. The food poisoning ridden Hayashi's Lounge will host the event. Slowly but surely things are picking up. As the first IFC Welterweight Champion will be crowned and the race towards the top of the Island slowly but surely starts to take shape.

Cyu "Zombie" Yakuba (1-0; 1-0 in IFC) vs Huey Pacco (pro MMA debut)

Featherweight bout

The first match of the main card will be between two purists, so to speak. Yakuba is leaning nearly exclusively on his wrestling background and some crude striking, which was enough to win his first fight by KO in the second. His opponent, Huey Pacco, is an BJJ brown belt, who also hasn't much more than his native discipline to resort to. This could prove to be a dangerous fight for Yakuba. Because given his own background he will probably have to deal with Pacco on the ground, where he will be in danger against the clearly superior BJJ player.

Ivan "Russian Bear" Dragski (1-0; 1-0 in IFC) vs Dick "Smash" Tater (1-1; 0-1 in IFC)

Heavyweight bout

The next one is a rematch of a fight, we had two weeks ago at Wednesday Night Fights. It ended in form of a unanimous decision in the favor of Dragski, who won the fight by virtue of time in top control and landing his ground and pound pretty much with impunity. What warrants this rematch? Hell if I know! Yeah, Tater was the better man on the feet. But his combined hits don't even equal the ground strikes landed by Dragski. It's gotta be the: “But Wrestling sucks, brah!”-stigma again. Come on Dragski, do it again! You send him for a ride, control him, so that he can blame his inability to get up solely on you, the ref, the judgs, tainted suplements …. whatever. And then you whisper in his ear, that soon it all will be over …. That's Rasslin', bitches …… fuckin' RASSLIN'!

George "Doughnut" Baker (2-0; 2-0 in IFC) vs Eugeniy "Pit" Petrov (2-2; 2-2 in IFC)

Light Heavyweight bout

The next fight sees Baker, a typical Muay Thai based wall and staller, go up against Petrov, who is a ground grappler. This fight is either man's fight to win. And it is probably in the wrestling department, where the key advantage lies, as both men have different ideas about where this fight ought to take place. A discipline, in which both men are fairly evenly matched.

Mister Hankey "The Christmas Poo" (4-0; IFC debut) vs Joseph "Uncle Joe" Ligambi (4-0; IFC debut)

For the IFC Welterweight Championship of the World

The co-main event will see the IFC Welterweight Championship conquered for the first time. And you just know, that when the first two men fighting for an all new title belt have the nicknames "The Christmas Poo" and "Uncle Joe", that this title is destined for greatness! Both men are debuting in IFC and have earned this chance of historic proportions by virtue of going 4-0 on the Island. And both are straight forward ground and pounders. So this fight may have all the excitement and aesthetics of a wild school yard brawl going for it. Uncle Joe gets hit by Poo! That is a sentence that you would only hear when civil unrest erupts in some of the more remote locations of the bible belt.

Light "Son Of" Heavyweight (4-0; 4-0 in IFC) vs Chung "The Backbreaker" Lee (3-0; IFC debut)

For the IFC Light Heavyweight Championship of the World

I'll be damned if the Drago clones from Light Heavyweight to Super Heavyweight aren't the scariest motherfuckers on this Island. By now all IFC fighters are so scared to fight them, they have to lure the opposition in. Enter Chung Lee, who is 3-0 and debuts in IFC. Has somebody even told the guy what he is facing? Anyway, I have prepared this in depth prognostic video, to give you an idea of where this fight is probably going, when Lee enters Light Heavyweight's turf.

Ladies and gentleman have we got a killer line-up of fights scheduled for you on this 4th installment of Island FC Wednesday Night Fights!

Kicking off the nights action is the first of 6 145lb matchups.

Doo Choi takes on Raymundo Sweeney in what should prove to be an epic conflict between two elite strikers looking to rebound from disappointing debuts. Expect to see sparks and fists flying!

Up next is the debut of the man known as "The American Hope", Wayne Makoy. Wayne squares off against another debuting fighter, Mark "The Shark" Renolds. Renolds has a slight striking advantage but Makoy's ace in the hole is his elite game planning. This match could be the dark horse fight of the night.

Following next is jiu jitsu specialist Lauri Laminaatti testing his skills against notable striker and former PAC 12 collegiate wrestler Troy Palmer Jr. This is a textbook battle between styles. Will the striking and wrestling prowess of Palmer be enough to neutralize the lethal ground skills of Laminaattti? Or will the relentless ground attack of the Finn be too much?

King Boomboom is an 18 year old striker with lightning in his fists. He looks to use those fists to spoil the debut of his opponent, Muay thai specialist Ricky Rickston. Rickston has a significant advantage on the feet and will try to use his wrestling and clinch work to neutralize the strikes of King Boomboom.

Coming up next we have another sure-fire fight of the night candidate. The pure boxing acumen of Benji Lootin clashes with the muay thai precision of Dan Wilson. Both fighters are equally deadly on their feet so look for Wilson to try and drag this fight to the canvas where he has a significant size and skill advantage over his opponent.

In our final 145lb bout Cyu Yakuba looks to build on his impressive debut against the wily jiu jitsu practitioner Huey Pacco. Pacco himself is making his professional debut after amassing an impressive record on the jiu jitsu scene. Pacco has a significant height advantage and will be looking to use those long limbs to wrap up his opponent and make him tap.

Kicking off the nights main card is a rematch between The Russian bear Ivan Dragski and Dick “Smash” tater. Dragski was able to eke out a victory in their first bout but you can bet that the man they call Smash is not going to let that happen again. Expect Tater to come out firing on all cylinders looking ot end the fight early with his superior boxing. Dragski knows his weakness and will likely attempt to use his superior wrestling to smother and stifle the more experienced Tater. There is bad blood between these men so expect to see a great fight!

Following that is a light heavyweight battle with definite title implications. George Baker, the #3 ranked fighter in the stacked 205 division, puts his undefeated record on the line against the slick submission machine Eugeniy Petrov. Petrov looks to break into the top 5 against baker and get his name into the title mix. A jiu Jitsu phenom, Petrov has both of his wins by way of submission with one loss by knockout and one via judges decision. “Doughnut” Baker has been a knockout machine providing some of the internets most reposted knockout gifs of the past year. A master at utilizing all 8 points of contact Baker hopes to force his way into a title match with a quick and decisive victory over Dragski and put the light heavyweight division on notice!

Our co-main event of the evening is a welterweight title match between 2 of the most dominant fighters on The Island! This match will crown the first ever Island FC welterweight champion!! Mister Hankey looks to continue his path of destruction against Joseph Ligambi. Both fighters trade in heavy leather with each having 3 decisive KO victories over opponents with neither man having ever tasted defeat. Wednesday night that will change for one unlucky fighter. While one man will taste the sweet nectar of success and leave the arena draped in gold and the glow of victory, the other will leave with a bruised and battered body and the sad stench of disappointment.

And now for our main event! Reigning light 205lb champion Light Heavyweight puts his title on the line against the kickboxing phenom Chung Lee. Lee comes into Island FC riding a three fight win streak, earning himself an immediate crack at champion Light Heavyweight. Both of these gladiators love to keep their feet on the canvas so expect there to be blood! Light Heavyweight has never had a fight go the distance, in fact he has never gone past round 2 in any of his bouts. He will have his hands full as he has never faced a striker with the pedigree or toughness of Chung Lee. This fight is scheduled for 5 rounds but I suspect we will see both men go all out and try to end this one early! This one is too close to make a prediction so come on out to Hayashi’s Lounge for Island FC’s Wednesday Nights Fights!!!

A fool is still very easily a great fighter that will leave devastation in his wake.

Island FC is my turf now. Have the body bags and the gourny ready

let me think about which fighter of mine on the island I want to use and I will take you up on setting up a fight but tbh I may want Bobby Shintosux to be the guy and he is currently in a tournement for another org but as soon as he wins that tournament and I can switch Orgs I will be looking to sign with island FC so I would then be all for this fight. Hopefully you don't lose by then but either way I will take the fight but it may need to be an openweight contract for 1 fight so we can set it up not sure what your guy is weighing in at

Weight is in the 265 division

Since I gave you both a beatdown, why don't you guys fight each other in a "Best Loser" fight?

IFC7 - WAR GAMES

Welcome everyone to IFC7 – WAR GAMES in Hard Knocks Arena on The Island, Saturday, July 15th!

We are featuring 10 amazing matches.

First three events of the night are Bantamweight matches, the first being between McHough and Pacheco; two fighters who are both 3 and 1. McHough being a remarkable muay thai fighter with two TKO’s and a proficient wrestler to boot. Whereas Pacheco is a Brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu who has had no trouble translating that skill into a submission in an MMA match. Will the BJJ experience be enough to even out his poor striking game?

Next event is between Bell and Obata. Bell is a Respectable wrestler with a Brown Belt in BJJ, undefeated with 4 wins, 3 from submissions in the first round! Obata, an undefeated 3 and 0 fighter on the other hand is a superb muay thai fighter who has used his strong wrestling background to keep his fights standing, controlling from both distance and within the clinch. Neither fighter will want to compromise on where they want the fight to go in a round that will for sure be a cult classic!

Last from the Bantamweights is Jacobs vs. Verhoeven! This is another striker vs. grappling match. Both fighters are coming off of two losses in a row, both hungry to win representing their style!

Up next in the Lightweight match is Destructon Man vs. The Savage Samaritan. Two wonderful grapplers with differing means to finish off opponents, this one is sure to be anyone’s game!

In the first Heavyweight match of the night is between Stiffy and Kruger. Two humongous fighters coming off of a loss. Stiffy is a superb boxer, whereas Kruger is a remarkable muay thai fighter. Both fighters have taken their wins from brutal TKOs, so it is sure to be lights out for one of the two!

In the first Light Heavyweight match of the night is two well rounded fighters, North vs. Donderson! Both should be ready to take it to each other in any position given their diversity of skills!

In the Welterweight match of the night is Push, a 1 and 1 grappling style fighter vs. Schreave, an 0 and 1 Muay Thai fighter hungry for his first professional victory! Schreave won’t have to worry about being knocked out via strikes in this match, so this will be a test of his ability to avoid Push’s submission based game!

The second Light Heavyweight match of the night is between two great up and coming boxers, Manchinha and Jones. Manchinha used to harvest shark teeth with his bare hands, and has had no trouble using them to achieve two wins. Jones, while being a great boxer in his own right, also has a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Sink or swim, this fight is sure to make a splash!

In another Heavyweight fight, we have Braithwaite making his professional MMA debut against Lee. Braithwaite is a Purple belt in BJJ, and a proficient Muay Thai fighter. Lee on the other hand, is a towering hulk of a man and a remarkable wrestler. Lee recovered from being knocked out in his debut and wants to return the favor to this newcomer!

Finally, in another Light Heavyweight match we have Downdin making his MMA debut against Maximus. Downdin is said to be a remarkable Muay Thai fighter, and so is Maximus. Maximus is coming off of two losses, but has a respectable wrestling background and is hoping to bring it the newcomer despite his past shortcomings. Both are sure to be hungry for a victory, and hungry means dangerous!

IFC 7 - WAR GAMES: Each event is getting better and better. Ben McHough and Jose Pacheco Put on the Show of the night, the fight only lasted one round but what a round it was. Ben McHough Waled away with the Victory but both fighters waled away with Fight of The Night Award. Dirtee Donderson Stunned all in attendance with a 45 second KO which earned him KO of The Night. Savage Samaritan Showed of his grappling skills with a very nice Guillotine inside the 1st round which earned him Sub of The Night. #IslandFC #Kyrptonite

Preview for IFC Wednesday Night Fights #5

Another Wednesday, another fine selection of fights in the Island's very own Hayashi's Lounge. It's Wednesday Night Fights #5 and it is guaranteed to please your desire to witness a beating or two. Following is the main card of yet another glorious IFC event.

Leifi Plomeros (1-1; IFC debut) vs Jordan Hendo (1-0; 1-0 in IFC)

Middleweight bout

The main card is kicked off by a man, who is just debuting in IFC: Leifi Plomeros, a Muay Thai clinch fighter with a suspect takedown defense. His opponent already was victorious in his IFC debut. Jordan Hendo will look to go 2-0 and to use his sharp stand up to do so.

Miguel "Piranha" Fernandez (2-1; 1-1 in IFC) vs Ganny Kogir (2-1; IFC debut)

Heavyweight bout

The next fight sees another debut. Ganny Kogir is a heavy handed wrestle-boxer and looks to make an impression in his first fight for the IFC. But he will have to do this at the expense of Miguel "Piranha" Fernandez, a fighter with well developed punching skills of his own. But he better hides his chin, for he has been knocked out before.

Khamed Al Khabbib (3-0; 2-0 in IFC) vs Matthew "Cris" Cristico (2-0; all in IFC)

Super Heavyweight bout

This one sees two unbeaten Super Heavyweight fighters on a collision course. Only one will remain unbeaten, when this one is over. Khamed Al Khabbib is a big, fat submission machine from Dubai. He has submitted all three of his opponents and has yet to hear the final bell. His opponent is the equally massive brawling wrestler Matthew Cristico. A wild slugger, who has won both of his fights by first round knockout, using ground and pound tactics. Going to the ground with a brown belt might prove to be dangerous, though.

Theodoros Demetriou (3-1; 1-0 in IFC) vs Wee Man (3-2; 2-2 in IFC)

Light Heavyweight bout

The co-main event sees two comparably experienced Island fighters go to work. Theodoros Demetriou is a Greek submission fighter, well versed in the art of Pankration. He also calls a BJJ brown belt his own. In order to get a winning streak going, he will have to best Wee Man. Wee Man boasts some submission threat himself and is also the better striker. His jaw line, however, is suspect. As both of his losses saw him getting his clock cleared.

Rokuya "Monkeymagic" Date (4-0; 1-0 in IFC) vs Michal "Hrabia" Biszpink (4-0; 1-0 in IFC)

For the IFC Lightweight Championship of the World

Rokuya "Monkeymagic" Date will defend his title for the first time in the main event. The unbeaten Date has proven himself to be a capable volume striker, who is as busy as he is accurate. Four opponents have already succumbed to his volume. But his next opponent has made quite an impression so far as well. Because Michal Biszpink is possibly the most skilled submission artist that Date has faced upon until this point. The Pole has submitted three of his opponents in the first. Date however, has made it his hobby, as it seems, to feast on grapplers. Since all of his opponents were just that. Will the grappling killer strike again or will he be on his head this time around?

IFC Tourney Update

Hey Everyone,

This is just a wee message to let you know where we are at with the IFC Tourney.

So on Sunday the 30th July at 9pm GMT (UK Time) we will be doing a live draw on twitch so all you eager managers can watch the draw live if you wish. I will be hosting the live stream (pending no problems) and I estimate it may only be on for 10-15 mins. The draw will be done using a very cool site I use on my competition giveaway's. The Site Is http://wheeldecide.com/ check it out if you fancy a wee look, I like it because I can say pop all the 155's in at once and start drawing, taking one person out when they have been drawn. The Twitch page used for the live draw will be https://www.twitch.tv/briankirk87 .

I will also talk to a few of the tourney organizers and owners to see if I can maybe do a live Competition at the end of the stream for viewers for maybe $50,000 and a goodie bag of stuff and could possibly do a Prediction Bit on the stream which would just most likely be my prediction(opinion, so don't kill me if I don't think your guy may be up for it :P) on winners and dangerous guys to watch etc, But I've still to talk the over with a few people so this part is still unconfirmed. I will be sending out another mail the night before and 1 hour before we go live just as a heads up to you guys.

We are trying to put on a very unique tourney and really trying to make all managers feel as apart of, and involved with the tourney as anyone else.

Any Questions you guys may have feel free to ask me, Toth Or Jarmas and we will do our best to answer any questions as best and promptly as we can.

All the Best,

Hamish McTarvish

*This message has been mailed to each manager involved.

ISLAND FC PRESENTS
IFC8 - GUNSHOT!

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1500260230poster.png
Ladies and gentlemen of The Island I hope you’ve taken your heart medication and got your affairs in order because we have an absolutely electrifying night of fights coming up for you live from Hard Knocks Event Centre on July 22nd. Island FC in partnership with After School Syndicate clothing presents: IFC 8- GUNSHOT!

Renan Gracie v Shakir Abdul Rahim

First up in a middleweight scrap is the debut of bjj sensation Renan Gracie. Gracie, a native of Brazil and descendant UFC hall of famer Royce Gracie, takes on “The Maharaja” Shakir Abdul Rahim. Rahim is a strong wrestler with an affinity for grounding and punding his opponents. He’ll be in tough against the fiercely active guard of Gracie.

Donny Drumpf v Kicky McKickface
Donny Drumpf is a stand-up fighter in the mold of Chuck Liddell. He uses his wrestling to keep the fight from hitting the mat and looks to make an impact with fists. That suits his opponent just fine as Kicky McKickface, looks to use his muay thai prowess to deliver explosive strikes and end fights.

Mako Takaziko v Duxney Pierda
Fresh off his first professional win, Mako Takaziko is looking to show that his submission victory over Indigo Myles was no fluke. A BJJ blue belt with penchant for trading strikes in the pocket, “Crazy Monkey” will have his hands full with Duxney Pierda. The man they call “Q-Ban” in his native Cuba, is a BJJ purple belt with an amateur background in boxing. He will be hoping to reverse his fortunes here and get back into the win column.

Gaspar Carvalho v Francis Lacaille
Coming up next is a tilt between the Frenchman Francis Lacaille and his opponent Gaspar Carvalho of Portugal. Lacaille has been unsuccessful so far in his professional career but is confident he can turn it around and Carvalho. Alternately, Gaspar Carvalho has yet to taste the bitter sting of defeat in his young career. Both fighters prefer to stand and trade so expect this fight to end in explosive fashion!

Paea Supuaga v Thor Magnunsen
I hope the cage is triple re-inforced for this next bout. In our superheavyweight division we have 2 combatants that love to work from opposite sides of the ground. Paea Supuaga is a slick bjj practitioner that loves to work for submissions from his back. His opponent, the appropriately names Thor Magnunsen, lives to to punch faces. With both of his victories coming by way of fist-to-face, he has established a reputation for extreme violence. What he lacks in technique he makes up for with brute force. A classic clash of styles in this contest, to be sure.

Frank Turturro v David Hanson
Nicknamed “The Dream”, David Hanson certainly is living the dream of becoming a professional mixed martial artist. Riding a 3 fight unbeaten streak, the welterweight phenom looks to continue his run of domination against “Big salami Frank Turturro. Turturro transitioned to MMA after a successful career as an adult film star in his native Italy. Both fighters are accomplished BJJ players and favour working from the mat. Turturro has a slight advantage of the ground and Hanson has a bit of an edge on the feet. Regardless of where this fight ends up we can be sure it will be a heartstopper with an epic climax!

Alexander Porto v Clive Garret
Following up- next is another pair 170lb bangers. Alexander Porto and Clive Garrett are both riding 2 fight winstreaks and are looking to make some noise in the IFC welterweight title picture. Both fighters favour the art of muay thai and love to trade leather. Don’t expect and subtle ballet of grappling here. This is sure to be an all out slugfest with both fighters utilizing all 8 points of contact. My prediction: Fight of the Night by a landslide!!!

Ion Novosad v Big Mike
In a heavyweight contest with absolute heavyweight title implications, Ion Novosad looks to continue steamrolling the competition against Big Mike. Big Mike has big fists and loves to use them. Both fighters are power punchers who pack a whollop. Novosad comes in with the experience advantage and is a little more well-rounded and has unheard of knockout power. However, the muay thai technique of Big Mike is absolutely flawless and will make finding openings in his defense nearly impossible for Novosad. But it only takes one punch. This fight is sure to be an absolute slobber-knocker! Which fighter will remain unbeaten? Which fighter will walk away with the stench of defeat? Find out on Saturday night at hard Knocks!

Luther Jones v Iaman Asshole
And now for our co-main event of the evening!!!! A 5 round battle for the undisputed middleweight championship! The challenger is a man known across the globe for his unparalleled brazillian jiu jitsu acumen. Called “one of the most creative submission grapplers I’ve ever seen” by none other than UFC hall of famer BJ Penn, Iaman Asshole looks to capture IFC gold in his second crack at the title. Coming up short against former IFC champ Robert Hurt, Asshole has learned from his past mistakes and plans to put those tough lessons to good use against current champ Luther Jones. Jones doesn’t have the prettiest fight technique, but his unorthodox mix of strikes and movement have given his opponents fits. Add to that his inherent ability to punch like a freight train and you’ve got a recipe for a championship reign. Not a single opponent has managed to make it our of the second round with the man known affectionately as “Touch of Death”. Will Asshole be the first to stop the man from the land down under?

Heavy Weight v Grigori Rasputin
Now, the fight everyone is really excited to see!!! Our main event is sure to blow your minds! The IFC heavyweight champion of the world, Heavy Weight takes on the powerful, fast rising challenger Grigori Rasputin! Both fighters are riding 4 fight unbeaten streaks, leaving a trail of battered bodies in their wake with all 8 of their combined wins coming by way of KO or TKO. Heavy Weight trains out of the highly regarded Ivan Drago fight camp, home of fellow IFC champions Super Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight so the pressure is on his broad shoulders to continue the tradition of championship dominance! Rasputin is very much from the same mold as his name sake. Tough as nails and nearly impossible to defeat. Will Heavy Weight retain the title that he holds so dear? Or will the crowd end up cheering ‘Ra Ra Rasputin!’ as we crown a new champion?

Grigori Rasputin

http://i.imgur.com/DyFilGB.jpg

Interviewer: Grigori , you did it. You beat the undisputed HW champion and in dominant fashion. What was the strategy going into this bout?

Rasputin: Yvan Drago is well known in Russia, my camp knew that this would be long, difficult fight so we trained cardio in the mountains and fucked goats.

Interviewer: You performed really well in the clinch, where Heavy Weight has dominated all opponents. Any comments?

Rasputin: I went to Siberian prison at 17, as fish you get clinchraped every afternoon the first year. I've done my time, I do the clinchraping these days.

Interviewer: You out-struck your opponent 56 to 16 systematically working head and body and bloodied him up all fight until the doctor had no choice in the 3rd but to stop the fight. Did you think you would dominate him like this going into the fight?

Rasputin: If doctor don't stop fight I kill him. He has granite chin but not granite liver and I cut people so he better not clinch with me unless he wants reconstructive surgery. My elbows are extra pointy :) I finished him early in the 3rd round, what you telling me he can go another 15 minutes with me? No way, that means I get to punch him 140 times ?? HAHAHA no way, poor guy, did you see his face he was leaking LOL

Interviewer: What is next for the champion?

Rasputin: Rest, I need some rest my hands hurt from punching Heavy. After that a bit of training and I should be good to go in about 3 weeks. I believe Big Mike is next or the winner of Kogir vs Giroux. Ion Novosad's manager Shiv dropped him so not sure what happens to him. But most are hurt at the top, myself included so beach healing and sex is a must right now.

Interviewer: You wrote something on the mat with his blood in russian , what was it?

Rasputin: A message for Yvan Drago, from my manager's mentor: The Fart Master says hello.
