senjinone
Hey. So it seems like escapes are broken in the speed they train. So let's assume you have a fighter with no escape training apart from what you get from sparring. What would be the best strategy to use when you get taken down and would like to get back to fighting instead of the cuddle on the ground bs? // Crissy (Bonus question - Does this also mean it makes sense to put 110 in escapes at creation and then just ignore it?) Gator001
I thought it was just tweaked in the fight engine only
senjinone
I thought it was just tweaked in the fight engine only You learn Escapes slower when you train than other skills. So the question is how to deal with it.
listerman
If you absolutely need them, then yes go with 110 on creation.

senjinone
This. BJJ + sub offense so the fight can continue on the ground. Well, that did not answer the question What would be the best strategy to use when you get taken down and would like to get back to fighting instead of the cuddle on the ground bs? senjinone
If you are in the bottom and try "get up" - is that the escape skill or do transition help? What skill effects wich slider? Would it be best to just go all control and try to get a ref to stand up? How should you deal with having no escape and you end up being taken down? Rambo
If you are in the bottom and try "get up" - is that the escape skill or do transition help? What skill effects wich slider? Would it be best to just go all control and try to get a ref to stand up? How should you deal with having no escape and you end up being taken down? Should be self-explanatory. Transitions = advancing position http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/escape2.gif = get up/escaping... you either aim for a ref standup or evolve your fighters game and be prepared to fight on the ground. there's 3 options (escapes, control/defensive grappling, or offensive grappling). pick one. I'd lean towards the two that don't require training a skill that has broken/slower training speed. had to rephrase/edit my typing a few times. it's early, my bad lol... Never said that was something I thought about. So you either need to become a ground fighter or force stand up or train a skill that is broken... Nice options. Monsieur.Camara
Can’t we just ask Mike to fix this like ASAP? If it’s broken he has to fix it. We are not asking for improvements this is basic customer service no? // Crissy

senjinone
Impersonating female managers is kind of Camara's thing Is Impersonating male managers yours? In all seriousness, I have no clue why he would do a thing like that. I have been playing this game for years and never had another account. Such a weird move... I did call him a MF in a post recently, maybe that pissed him off or something... Same post i did call you that btw

pjrfin
It does suck that the training speed for escapes is so slow. But it used to be super fast. So, win some, lose some, I guess ? I see now there are two current threads about this. I do still train escapes. Just slowly. You don't need to max it anyway, so I'd rather spend the initial points on skills that do need maxing. And like others have said, there are options other than escape to handle ground situations.
Jackking
I'd really like to see this fixed. It makes no sense for escapes to train 30% slower than other secondaries unless they are somehow 30% more valuable. If it was truly an error on Mike's part like Duphus claims, then this should have been fixed rather quickly.
