BlakePhoenix
Junior "Tarantula" Vilson (290550) Since the rule you cant nominate yourself isn't in each thread with the other rules, I thought it no longer applied.
imcool
Junior "Tarantula" Vilson (290550) Can't nominate your own fighter, but I'll nominate him if you feel he deserves it: Junior Vilson 2

imcool
Junior Vilson challenges the winner of Jernit vs Alzheimer to prove who is the best 145er. I reached out to Randall to try and set up Alzheimer/Vilson rematch on 12/28, if you're down.
stpierrecanada
Well, Vilson pretty clearly takes this I think.
imcool
Well, Vilson pretty clearly takes this I think. Debatable. When you compare the competition Alzheimer faced vs Vilson this year, there's a gap there. Alzheimer is a 16 year old creation who started depopping the second half of the year, time unanimously beat him, not a fighter. I think it depends on the criteria a person uses to pick the best 145 fighter here . P.s. not taking anything from Vilson, he beat Alzheimer fair and square both times. 1

Its a tough call, going 13-4 versus 8-2-2, but with the latter fighter beating the former twice, and finishing the year stronger. If the last two months didn't happen, Alzheimer takes this discussion unanimously, but with what Vilson pulled out of his bag, I'd say he takes it on my scorecards. Time may have given him the weakness, but a fighter exploited that weakness.

The award is "145 lber of the year", Alzheimer has had a better 2019 than Vilson(becoming #1p4p), but I could completely understand someone voting for Vilson because he beat Alzheimer twice. 1

As you say, "The award is "145 lber of the year". Alzheimer was 9-3 at 145 lbs. His greater success and becoming #1 P4P happened at openweight. Alzheimer wins openweight fighter of the year hands down. Also, I don't think de-popping should be involved in the decision, but either way Vilson has been de-popping the last few months too.

Even if you take away the openweight tournament win(which was openweight, so there was no foul play there; he beat some of the best fighters in the game there), he's faced tougher competition at 145 than Vilson this year. 1

Eligibility Rules for this year`s awards: 1- 265+ nominee must weight 266 lbs minimum before cut This year the 265+ award is really a Super HeavyWeight award, not just openweight. Just wanted to clarify as it was stated in the rules from day 1. Honestly I did it so no 207 lbs. (after cut) dude that had fought all year at 265+ won it as they hold a big (speed) advantage over heavier guys until Mike fixes it. This created a lot of frustration in years past.
