That’s very strange. When you click on his profile it says 170 lbs on the dot and only when you click on the weight thingy it drops it by .1

Very weird.

Will message Mike must be another one of the recent glitches.

Don't act confused, weight gets rounded on fighter page, Energy checker and Assistant page are showing the correct fighter weight. You tried to troll again and failed.

Camara, please get your fighter up to weight by Monday otherwise he will be ineligible.

He is on weight gain now. I had no idea weight got rounded up at the main page. He will be on weight in a day or two.

Thanks for the heads up.

Let`s get this tourney on the way, Queen Kendork is just trying to get me DQed because he fucked up and is in my weight class, too bad sister ask your alliance what I do when I catch them :) Comanche Moon baby, google it :P

Cheers Butch. One thing though, from what I can see, that 155lb fighter is still waiting for a QFC and not signed up for one. That could take some time and I wanted to get everyone signed up and set up the first round of fights as soon as possible after tomorrow. His other guys are also waiting for QFC's too though looks like they have had a test already?

Aside from him, just waiting for three of Yabai's guys to send their fighters and I'm pretty sure that's it.

Awesome. Cheers guys.

All fighters have been declared and contracts have been sent out. Most have already signed up but just waiting for a few others.

I will create the fight schedules when each division is fully signed up so keep an eye out in the first page. Using challonge to generate the order of fights but not using their points table.

Tournament format is going to be a straight league table to decide the winner. Six fights overall. As there is an odd number of participants one fighter will get a bye round at some point during proceedings.

A brief look into the seven alliances involved in the first ever AWC event and an early prediction of their final expected positions come the end.

Yabai

Established sometime mid 2014 by founding fathers Bwang Jong Sr, Laz Staz and Carlos Castenada, Yabai have been one of the top alliances right from the go, competing almost exclusively in the top tier of the Alliance pyramid. With four out of their five managers being former or current No.1’s they’re likely to be the early favourites to take this competition overall.

Predicted Finish: 1st

The Stepdads

F%@king mom's for around a year now, The Stepdads was brought to life by Alex K and Jake Fury, two former No.1 managers. The Stepdads also compete mainly in the first division of the Alliance Pyramid and will also be a team to watch for by the end. Whether they are on par with Yabai however remains one of the most interesting and exciting questions about to be answered.

Predicted Finish: 2nd

FinnFighters

One of or if not thee longest running alliance in the game, FinnFighters have always been around since the tycoon universe began. Created by some unknown mythical northman long ago, the alliance was handed over to Marky Mark at some point down the line and remains in his care to this day. With two former No.1's in their ranks and rounded out by three former Top 10’s, FinnFighters could be another decent bet to take the Overall championship come the end of this tournament.

Predicted Finish: 3rd

The GBU

Created by Lieutenant Colombo sometime in 2018, the alliance was handed over to team captain and a former No.1 manager Ibrahim Camara early in 2019. Bolstered by two former No.1 managers from the LOD (who were shockingly unable to field a team themselves) it really will be down to the veteran managers in this team to carry the weight of expectations as the remaining two members of the team have yet to crack the top 100

Predicted Finish: 4th

Evil Empire

Started by Bruno Falcone some time ago and passed down to Randall McSweeny when Falcone went away capiche? To this day nobody has seen nor heard from Mr. Falcone and nobody knows if he will ever return. Some say there is a curse on the Empire as this particular fate has befallen it's fair share of the team but for now McSweeny will have a bunch of capable but currently middling managers at his disposal.

Predicted Finish: 5th

Heritage

The rumour is that the alliance Heritage was founded by the notorious and often banned player Humours in order to help out new and inexperienced players. Active for around a year now, team captain I’m Lupe will be leading the troops into battle on this occasion though expectations will be reasonably low for this band of obscure and unfancied managers.

Predicted Finish: 6th

Cromulent Doom

Cromulent Doom’s inception began with the betrayal and desertion from the Evil Empire sometime in 2019 by it’s founder Butch Harris. Harris, who is now known as Judas Harris to many of those in the Empire will now get his comeuppance as he leads his new alliance into battle. Consisting mainly of newer managers and recent returnees, Cromulent Doom will likely be thought of as one of the weaker teams in the tournament until proven otherwise.

Predicted Finish: 7th

135lbs Division Preview

With a quick glance at the small guys division, one fighter immediately jumps out as a potential favourite to take the group and that is Chinese BJJ Brown Belt Shu Fang Tzeng. Managed by former #1 and current number #15 ranked manager Action Jackson (Yabai), Tzeng is one of only two fighters in this group to have seen action before the tournament begins and that was against a fellow competitor Evil Empire, a MT clinch fighter managed by Joe River (Evil Empire, Best Rank #6) A Bizarre result in a bizarre fight and hopefully the immediate week one rematch will leave far less questions asked.

“Maruding” Markus Haland is another who might be worth keeping an eye on here as he is guided by The Stepdads Prince Mitchell. Currently at #22 in the rankings with a career best of #3, Haland’s wonderful wrestling could be a problem for the fighters already mentioned.

FinnFighters entry Urho “Permafrost” Viikate is an unknown quantity at this point and he will be managed by Frank Abbout who with a career best of #26 is the alliances weakest link (which also says something about the strength of their team) Another BJJ Brown Belt, Viikate has opted to come in around 10lbs over the minimum weight which is an interesting strategy. He will take on fellow Brown Belt “Lord” Chrollo Lucifer in the first round. Lucifer is guided by Cromulent Doom’s Jay Soul who is a relatively new player but one of which has been learning the ropes quickly. At the time of writing he sits at his career best of #67, Soul could improve further during this tournament so perhaps Lucifer too will be an interesting one to watch?

On paper the weakest of the bunch is American brawler Randy “Retread” Rutherford who is guided by The GBU’s Bob Loblaw. Loblaw has been around for a little while now but has only ever managed to get as far as #164 in the rankings. Still, he will have plenty of experienced managers to draw from when he takes on Heritage’s team captain I’m Lupe and his fighter Sergej Tkach. Lupe too has been around since 2015 and the highest he has managed is #127 meaning that both managers will be fairly even going into the first round.

Prediction

1st - Shu Fang Tzeng

2nd - Urho Viikate

3rd - Markus Haland

4th - Evil Empire

5th - Chrollo Lucifer

6th - Sergej Tkach

7th - Randy Rutherford

155lbs Division Preview

An interesting group with a few different possible champions within it.

First up is FinnFighters team captain Marky Mark who will be bringing his striker/ground fighter hybrid fighter Digi Box with him. With some remarkable boxing and a purple belt in BJJ, Digi Box will clearly be looking to perform best wherever his opponent is weakest but without any wrestling pedigree at all, that could be a very risky strategy. As a former #1 manager in the tycoonsphere and with a 2010 starting stamp on his profile we will have to give him the benefit of the doubt. He’ll take on Cromulent Doom’s Bobby Bowen and his brawler Walter Sobchak in the first round. On paper Bowen is the weakest manager in the group with a career best of 160 so it could be a rough start for the 2016 vet.

Yabai’s Carlos Castenada did some extensive scouting for his pick of the tournament but finally decided upon Maximus Furioto who has already racked up a 1-1 record pre-tournament. His most recent fight was a first round KO loss but Castenada has obviously seen something he likes in the fighter even in defeat and as a member of the hallowed #1 club his experience in the matter should probably be taken notice of. Furioto will match up against so Bitch in his first round match which looks like being a potentially exciting slug fest. Wonderful Boxer Bitch is managed by Heritage’s Rick Hustle who is also their best shot at winning a group. With a career best of #33, Hustle is obviously competent in the game and there is no reason to think that he couldn’t do well even amongst some of the Tycoon cream of the crop.

The Stepdad’s will also have a former #1 manager within the 155lbs division in the form of Billy Arseworth. Getting his start in 2012, he currently sits at No.2 in the rankings meaning he is one of the best players in the game currently. His fighter Chubby Funster makes me very uncomfortable but perhaps it’s that exact kind of psychological warfare he is going for? A BJJ Brown Belt but as yet nothing else is known about him.

Rounding out the group is Evil Empire team captain Randall McSweeny and his fighter Garth “Baby Yoda” Wader. Wader has a 0-1 record so far but McSweeny knows his stuff and will no doubt have a solid tournament. A career high of #4, McSweeny is also likely to be the Evil Empire’s best shot and a division title. Wader takes on Stig “The Transporter” Statham in the First Round who is guided by new manager Bobb Mogg of The GBU. Mogg has so far managed a #121 spot in the short time he has been involved so while not completely green, he’ll still be considered one of the weaker fighters in the group.

Predictions

1st - Digi Box

2nd - so Bitch

3rd - Chubby Funster

4th - Maximus Furioto

5th - Garth Wader

6th - Stig Statham

7th - Walter Sobchak
