I sacked 4 guys this weekend, all are solid fighters.  Probably more coming soon after this next round of fights.

I've decided I don't want to use Free Agents anymore to fight.  I'd rather stick to home grown in the future.  And I have a few spar bots already, so didn't want to hold up their careers to be spar bots.  Would love to see an accomplished manager pick them up.  Kocak was managed by Mac and is a great fighter, and I believe Andrade was a Jake Fury project.  Both are solid builds and will have great futures with the right manager.

HFC 66 - Lachance vs Nofud - Preview

Welcome MMA fans to the HFC 66 preview. I’m Alexei Smirnov and welcome to this great event. Many great fights today including two title fights. The fans in New York are in for a great card tonight.

Undercard

Daniel Yonic vs Paul Boxaaja

My pick: Boxaaja KO (Punch)

Dillon Van Barle vs Ragnar "The Ultimate Viking" Ragnarsson

My pick: Von Barle Via TKO (Strikes)

Manolito Tai Kung vs Luis Pinto

My pick: Tai Kung Via Unanimous Decision

Shaquan "Five Hands" Woods vs Sean "The Squid" Dickinson

My pick: Dickinson Via Unanimous Decision

"Gorgeous " Georges Moxley vs Kai Kona

My pick: Moxley Via Submission (Triangle)

Chief "BIG" Red Eagle vs Bobby "Blow" Chunks

My pick: Chunks Via TKO (Strikes)

Main Card

Sergey "Tel" Telegin vs Chris "Kenshin" Travis

Now it’s time for Sergey “Tel” Telegin (7-3-0) taking on Chris “Kenshin” Travis (11-6-0). Telegin coming off of a loss in his first ever shot at a title, he’ll be wanting to bounce back. Travis is on an absolute tear winning his last four fights. Telegin will want to do what he does every fight and that is take the fight to the ground. There he will want to use his black belt in BJJ to attempt to win via sub. Travis will want to stop the takedown and use Telegins horrible stand up game to his advantage. Telegin has a horrible stand up game and Travis has been able to finish a high number of fighters. Telegin has some big wins but none are bigger than his win over Juju Baraka. He managed to beat a fighter who has deadly KO power and could’ve dropped him in an instant. Travis’ last win over Leif Leifsson is a really big one considering Leif is one of the best fighters in the whole division and might even get a title shot. After looking at everything, who do I think is going to win?

My pick: Travis Via TKO (Strikes)

Telegin is very one dimensional and if he can’t take the fight to the ground that’s it for him. Travis isn’t even that out matched on the ground and could defend the sub quite well. I really don’t see Telegin winning here, it’ll be very difficult for him. With a win here Travis could put himself in title contention after some huge wins. Overall an interesting fight for sure.

Doug "And The" Slugs vs Lev Davidovitch "Rebel" Bronstein

Now it’s time for some Super Heavyweight action. It’s Doug “And The” Slugs (13-6-0) taking on Lev Daivdovitch “Rebel” Bronstein (13-7-0). Now we have two fighters who have not been doing great as of late. Both Slugs and Bronstein have been on bad losing streaks and one of them hopes to pick up a much needed win. Slugs is a HFC hall of famer and clinch specialist. Slugs will probably be looking to take things into the clinch and he has much better MT than Bronstein so that’ll help him. Bronstein mostly uses GnP to win fights and he’ll be looking to take Slugs to the ground and pound him out. Slugs is a former HFC champ and his best win is against HFC legend Chief Red Eagle, where he won via TKO. Bronstein’s biggest win is against Alex Ferreria where he managed to score a takedown and get the GnP KO. Slugs will want to stop any takedown attempts while Bronstein will want to avoid the clinch. Who wins this fight? Let’s find out!

My pick: Slugs Via TKO (Strikes)

After four straight losses I do see Slugs picking up a much needed win here. Slugs just dominate in the clinch and there isn’t much Bronstein can do about it. He will be looking for the takedown but Slugs is a brown belt in BJJ and won’t struggle as much on the ground. Whoever wins it’ll be nice for them to snap their streak. Overall a good super heavyweight fight!

Sabotage Rex "Pussy Melter" vs Chip "The Scoop" Nickel

Now it’s time for the co-main event for the middleweight championship! The champ Sabotage Rex “Pussy Melter” (12-3-0) taking on the challenger Chip “The Scoop” Nickel. Rex is coming off of a huge title win over Dre Battle aka Dam Barney Got Aids. He really showed his stuff in that fight and proved that he can do more than wrestle with women. Nickel is coming off of two wins last one being a decision win over Dante Black. Rex will want to stand and bang(haha) in this fight, his striking and KO power being his best tools. Nickel will also want to strike as his ground game is mediocre at best, Nickel has great KO power and a good chin as well. Both of these two have similar styles and really both will be hitting each other until one of them goes down. Another thing to note about Rex’s striking is his brutal kicks, he has some of the best kicks in all of MMA tycoon and Nickel will need to watch out for them. Like I mentioned earlier Rex’s best win is over former champ Dre Battle where he KO’d him in one of the best KO kicks I’ve ever seen. Nickel’s best achievement is also being a former HFC middleweight champ. Now who do I think will win this high profile middleweight title fight? Let’s find out!

My pick: Rex Via KO (Punch)

Aaaaand still HFC middleweight champ Sabotage Rex… Probably. Rex has great KO power and has never been KO’d, it’s very rare for him to lose any striking fight. The best way to beat Rex is on the ground and Nickel cannot do that. Nickel can’t get a KO and I think he won’t be able to withstand Rex’s strikes for too long. Rex is a great fighter and his first challenger will be an interesting fight!

MAIN EVENT: "The Assassin" Lucien Lachance vs Aingot Nofud "MEAN MACHINE"

Now it’s time for the main event for the HFC welterweight championship. The champ “The Assassin” Lucien Lachance (13-5-0)  taking on the challenger Aingot Nofud “MEAN MACHINE” (7-3-1). Lachance is coming off of 3 straight wins and is still going strong as an HFC champ. Nofud has been on a tear after losing his first three fights he hasn’t lost since, he is one mean machine. Lachance’s best chance at winning will be taking the fight to the ground, Nofud is too good on the feet to let him stay there. Nofud beats Lachance standing up but Lachance will try to end it fast with a takedown and a sub. As for Nofud he will not want to go to the ground and will want to stop the takedown and use his MT to either throw strikes or take Lachance into the clinch. Although Lachance does have quite a strong chin I doubt he’ll withstand much from Nofud but, luckily that black belt in BJJ will be coming in handy. As for Nofud he can take lots of hits and has only got subbed once, not to mention his incredible KO power and the ability to take fights to the decision. Lachance has many wins but, none of them are even as close to as big as his win over HFC fighter of the year ADA. He showed just how truly great he was when he managed to beat him, although it was a cut finish. Nofud’s last win over Malcolm King is a pretty big one for him and definitely his best win. King is a former champ and Nofud showed off his power in a big way. Both men have clear gameplans, who do I think will win this main event fight? Let’s find out!

My pick: Nofud Via Unanimous Decision

Aaaaaaaaaand new HFC Welterweight champ Aingot Nofud… maybe! As much as I’ve talked about these two ability to finish fights I see this being a decision win for Nofud. Lachance has a great chin and Nofud is skilled enough on the ground to defend the sub. Nofud’s great striking ability and elite MT should carry him in this fight and he should be able to land plenty of strikes. He’s been destroying people and hasn’t lost in a very long time. I see Nofud being the new champ and he deserves it honestly. Overall an interesting main event.

Sub of the night prediction: George Moxley

KO of the night: Sabotage Rex

Fight of the night: Lucien Lachance v Aingot Nofud

What a stacked card we have tonight and two title fights. This card has some pretty big fights and some that can change HFC history. I’m Alexei Smirnov, have a great day and remember to…

STAY HARDCORE!

HFC 66 - Lachance vs Nofud

Event Review
27 March 2021
Empire Arena, New York
Sponsored by Hardcore Alchemy

Fight of the Night:
Chip Nickel vs Sabotage Rex
This award often goes out to a title fight, or at the least, a main event.  And in this case, it was both.  The (at time of the fight) champ, Rex was a heavy favorite against Nickel, but Nickel showed off his heart and chin as Rex gave him everything he had for 5 rounds.  But Nickel was determined, and outlasted the champ.  The fight breakdown can be read below, but a five round title fight with multiple knockdowns and a shit ton of power packed strikes landing, and still not able to finish... well, this was the only choice for FotN.

KO of the Night:
Aingot Nofud
When a main ain't got no food, he gets hungry.  When he's hungry enough, he turns bum fights mode and makes Kimbo Slice look like a chump.  That's exactly what Aingot Nofud did to the champ Saturday night.
There were some great KO's on this card, but very seldom do you see a flying knee attempted, much less finish a fight.  So this was a very easy award to hand out.  It becomes even easier when you consider the stage.. the welterweight title fight.
"Nofud looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Nofud backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Lachance's temple! It sends Lachance violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Nofud celebrates and the doctors try to help Lachance!"

Sub of the Night:
Chris Travis
Sometimes, this award goes out based on the speed of the finish.  There are not a lot of submission finishes in HFC, usually 1 per event at most.  Saturday night, we had two, and both were impressive.  However, when a fighter goes into a fight with a purple belt and taps out a black belt in the first round, it's a no brainer as to who the award goes to.
"Travis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Telegin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Travis is tightening it up a little... Telegin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Telegin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Telegin taps out! Nice BJJ there by Travis!"

We have grown accustomed to having events with two title fights on tap.  Almost all of our events have at least one.  I will have to go back and double check, but I think this may have been the first time we have ever crowned two new champs on a singular event.  So let's go ahead and jump into the action and find out how this happened!

Main Event:
Aingot Nofud   DEF   Lucien Lachance  via KO (Flying Knee)

The first round started off with a lot of kicks and leg checks as the fighters felt each other out.  Nofud was clearly looking to finish this via KO (Kick) as he attempted several head kicks out of the gate.  Lachance did eventually take the fight into the clinch, eventually resulting in a pull to guard where he clearly had an advantage.  But Nofud manged to control the fight enough to prevent much from Lachance until the referee decided he had enough and stood the fight up.  Lachance did manage to get the fight into the clinch again before the end of the round, but to no end.
The second round started with a kick to kick things off.. yeah, I went there.  This was a kickers affair for sure.. wonder if anyone had a red neck after?  Ok, I'm done..
A couple of kicks, and a few back and forth jabs, and then the crowed went into a roar that nearly brought down the building as first responders came to the site fearing some micro earthquake when this happened..

And NEW!   HARDCORE Fighting Championship Welterweight Champion of the World!!!  Aingot Nofud!!!
Disclaimer.. HFC held a buffet in honor of the new champ and now Nofud has all the food he can handle.  But something tells me he will stay hungry to keep that gold belt!

Co-Main Event:
Chip Nickel   DEF   Sabotage Rex   via  Decision (Unanimous)
You guys know me.. I always affiliate blood with Hardcore.  Even going back to WWF days and watching Mic Foley do stupid and crazy shit to end up bleeding.. I though.. that fucker's the least fake Hardcore sob out there!  Well, Rex was more than happy to accomodate my desires as he drew blood right off the bat with a nasty combo that left Chip bleeding.  But, like most of our fighters, seeing some blood wakes up their inner gladiator because from that point on, this was a war.
Nickel looked to be the more aggressive fighter out of the gate, and the blood didn't slow him down one bit.  Back and forth these two went, trading blows for a good three minutes until a huge right by Rex dropped Nickel like a sack of petrified potatoes.  But with no desire to go to the ground, Rex waved Nickel back to his feet.  Displaying his amazing heart, Nickel stood up and went back to work, even dominating the round and taking it on the judges cards.
Round two went almost the exact same way.  Fighters went back and forth, beating the hell out of each other, Nickel slightly more aggressive and Rex fighting with the power of a herd of stampeding elephants.  Just over two minutes into the round, Rex landed another monster right that dropped Nickel again.  Nickel gets back to his feet, clearly rocked and dazed, and never lets up.  Again, Rex cannot finish as Nickel displays the heart of 17 lions.  And again, the fighters beat the living hell out of each other for the remainder of the round.  This time, the judges gave Rex the edge in points, but only narrowly.
Round three was more fo the same as the two gladiators traded blows the entire round, but for the first time Nickel was not sent to the ground.  Perhaps Rex started losing some of his pop after all the stamina he burned through to this point, or maybe Rex just decided he didn't want to get caught again and was a little more careful.  Round three concluded with Nickel dominating the round and taking a 2-1 lead into the championship rounds.
Round four started off with Rex being the aggressor and landing the first few strikes.  Clearly he knew he needed to score a finish to take this fight and stepped up his game a bit.  Hard to think of him stepping up his game when even though losing 2-1 at this point, the power behidn the punches sending Chips way was crazy and everyone knew that Chip had to be feeling it at this point.  But to Chips credit, he had done a very good job protecting that cut that was inflicted early.  Either that, or the cut doctor used some super glue and nobody caught wind of his ploy.
Once again, after a brutal round of slobber knockers, coldcock (wow that sounds bad) and bams, booms and kaplows, the fourth round comes to an end with Chip dominating yet another round.  At this point, Rex needs to finish this fight, but with all the damage he had inflicted so far, and Chip still coming at him, he had to be a little disheartened.
Round five started off with Rex throwing bombs that didn't land, three in a row before Chip countered with a nice shot to start the round.  As the round went on, Rex tried to land that big shot to end the fight, but Chip started to take a more cautious approach and waited him out.
As I've said before, I'm not a big fan of leaving a fight in the hands of the judges.  But when it works, it works.  And when you can take a beating like Nickel did and still come out on top, nobody can take away this victory from him as all three judges scored the fight 46:49 in favor of the new undisputed HARDCORE Fighting Championship Middleweight Champion of the World... Chip Nickel!!!

Chip truly showed the heart of a champion in this fight, and what a crazy division this is turning out to be as this loaded roster keeps beating the shit out of each other and is starting to seem like the days of the ADA's running the table for long stretches of time may be in the rear view as everyone in the top 10 is a legit threat in any fight, and the top 5 are all potential champions.

Main Cards:
Doug Slugs   DEF   Lev Davidovitch Bronstein   via   TKO (Cuts)

Chris Travis   DEF   Sergey Telegin   via   Submission (Triangle Choke)

Bobby Chunks   DEF   Chief Red Eagle  via   KO (Punch)

Kai Kona   DEF   Georges Moxley   via   Decision (Unanimous)

LOL

Igor and I went back and forth on this for a bit.  Woods has been on a good stretch, but his ranking still hadn't pushed him ahead of the likes of ADA, Lachance, or Petrov.  But being as Petrov vs ADA is happening on the 10th, and Lachance just lost the belt, it was the most fitting fight.  And the winner of Petrov and ADA would be in line for the next title shot at 170, this still works out.

But with that said, ADA made a statement about wanting to go for his belt at 185 again, and can only go for one at a time.  So I need to contact HLK to see which division he wants to focus on title asperations in.  If he chooses 170, the winner of Petrov vs ADA is the next TC.  If he goes 185, Petrov is right there but may have to go through Lachance first if he loses.  So much is in the air now for each of these divisions, and it's just a beautiful thing to see.

Love seeing the hype build up for this fight between Nofud and Woods already.  Good luck to each of you!  It should be a real slobber knocker!

If ADA wants to try and fight in the 185lbs division again, he better bulk up and not be pulling his speed advantage cheat again. He has pulled that stuff long enough and got away with it, but those days are over.
If he wants to come up, he has to bulk up to 185lbs natural weight (before cut) at least, or stay pissing in the 170lbs division instead.

PS: That 185lbs title fight between Chip and Rex was :mf_popcorn1:.
Massive respect for Rex his power and Chip is heart. Those guys are damn superstars!

HFC's division weight policy for the 185 is a minimum walking weight of 180lbs.  Been that way for nearly a year now.  All divisions (except 265 and 135 have that rule.  5 lbs under weight class walking weight is minimum.  We may revisit this in the future, and I there is only 1 fighter who continually breaks this rule.  But it has been brought to his attention.

I can confirm my client ADA will be fighting at the exact weight of 184.6 (185 pounds) for his next bout when he moves back up to Middleweight.  Not that it will make much difference he still will rule the division once again. Lol you still butthurt from the Bizi loss? The blue belt was the reason he loss to ADA, not his weight. Hope ya'll been training defensive grappling to Elite ++ because ADA is .8 away from a red belt.
