155lbs: Lightweight Bout
(#4) Jian “Assassin” Zhao (10-3-1) vs. (#6) Frank “The Legion” Morrison (13-5)

An important showdown for these two fighters both of whom have been in good form of late and building some nice little winning streaks. Jian Zhao in particular would be very likely to earn himself a shot at the title should he be victorious and, with the division in a little disarray following the title being stripped from Keith Seng due to inactivity, Frank Morrison could well find himself thrust into the spotlight once more should he manage to get the better of Zhao.

On paper, Morrison actually looks to have the advantage in a few key areas so it's going to be a very tough night for Zhao if he is to finally earn himself his first ever chance at a title. Slightly more explosive however, Zhao might be the more likely to get a finish here as Morrison is known for dragging fights into deep water and winning via decision. Should be a great scrap with a lot on the line.

155lbs: Lightweight Bout
(#7) “Immortal” Riley Hatfield (7-2) vs. (#9) Isaac “The Viper” Vernon (9-6)

Yet another lightweight bout in a main event slot, this time a little further down the rankings but no less important for these two fighters who, again, are both in good form and currently climbing the ranks of the 155lbs division.

Riley Hatfield has been a Cali fighter since October of last year now and since that time has amassed an impressive 7-1 record. His sole loss in that time comes against outspoken social media presence Mehdi Kanaani but that hasn't stopped him climbing as high as #7. His opponent Isaac Vernon has been fighting here just a little while longer and though his record is not quite as impressive, it is still a rock solid winning one at 8-4 (9-6 overall)

Quite an even looking fight both on the feet and on the ground though both seem to have clear preferences as to how they going about their business. Both will be keen to keep the good times rolling here with neither having ever fought for a title as yet. You would imagine that would be the goal overall and with the lightweight title just starting to come into focus for them, neither will want to lose their momentum nor confidence with a loss

145lbs: Featherweight Title Bout
(CHAMPION) Yasha “Ferocious” Big Mouth (12-3) vs. (#8) Yves Marchant (13-4)

Keen to keep busy while waiting for the next challenger, Yasha Big Mouth accepted the proposal to fight #8 ranked Yves Marchant who otherwise wouldn't have really been in position to challenge for the CaliMMA featherweight title just yet.

Big Mouth has done well since losing a second title attempt against Zai Druggs back in March and in fact has only prospered since Druggs permanent retirement with a streak of five victories and the eventual capture and defence of his current featherweight championship. He has beaten every other big names in the division and so this match up will no doubt make an interesting change from the usual suspects.
Yves Marchant, a former Island winner under the management of Emily Chanet, found himself under the tutelage of new manager Ongjen Guyen on the mainland and languished in the seeming limbo of QFC before finding a home here at California MMA. With a record of 2-1 since joining and 13-4 overall, Marchant has done well to achieve what he has considering the late age he got into the game and whilst he doesn't have a great chance at pulling of an upset here, he does he at least a chance.

Definitely a fight to check out if you enjoy the potential for shock upsets and three fighters that will keeping a close watch on this are Abdelrahman Camara, Middle Finger and Keith Kenneth Ferkingstad. All of whom are in consideration for the next shot at the title.

265lbs+: Super-Heavyweight Bout
(#4) Dan “Doughboy” Donovan (8-2) vs. (#2) Sausage “Wu Tseng Killer” Pizza (11-3)

Despite efforts to legitimise the CMMA Super-heavyweight division it still remains a rather odd division full of big and bold characters with massively differing levels of skills. Whilst not exactly the purists idea of sporting fun, the division does provide some incredible entertainment and two fighters that have been putting on shows during their time here are Dan “Doughboy” Donovan and Sausage “We Tseng Killer” Pizza. Together they are sure to provide a picture of brutality as well as a rather delicious dinner

This will be the first time these two are meeting and it is sure to end well before the end the fifteen minute time limit. Donovan making his return since his valiant but failed attempt at the title and Pizza, currently riding a three fight winning streak and on course for his own shot at the title with a win.

CMMA 153

265lbs: Heavyweight Bout
(#3) Kimbo Slaissi (9-0) vs. (#2) Kjetil Olsen (8-2)

A big fight in the CaliMMA heavyweight division with newcomer and former Blaze champion Kimbo Slaissi taking on former CMMA champion Kjetil Olsen.

Following his successful CMMA debut against Billy Blank, Slaissi was offered the next shot at the title but declined citing not feeling ready for the big one. Some might see this decision as perhaps a mistake whilst others might agree that it is sensible given Slaissi's younger age compared to the top fighters in the division. Whatever their thoughts, Slaissi is sure to be front of the line once more should he manage to topple the former champion Olsen but that is far from given as Olsen looks to re-establish himself as top dog in the 265lbs ranks.

Olsen's new manager Optimal MMA Picks has been vocal about his hopes for his new charge and has already gotten off to a good start with a big win over former Byzantium champion Dimitri Svytogor. Slaissi is going to be a slight step up in competition however and Olsen will need to be at his best to get past him. There is no guarantee of a title shot for him either should he manage to pull it off due to having only recently lost the title to new champion Beau Abner and instead is likely to hinge on the result of Sven Torvik and Maksud Magomedov.

Spectators are advised not to blink in this one as both fighters have perfect 100% records of KO finishes in their victories. Slaissi still undefeated of course and likely be the solid favourite going in. Olsen, a top tier fighter in this division but the KO loss against Abner will still be weighing heavy on him. An important fight for the title picture and fans cannot wait to see these two go at it.

155lbs: For the Vacant Lightweight Title Bout
(#1) Evan Duvernay (10-1) vs. (#3) Damien “Snake” Tonon (11-6)

Following Keith Seng's disappointing inactivity and subsequent stripping of his newly and hard fought title, the CMMA owners had no choice keep the ball rolling and offer the vacant title to the next two most deserving fighters. At this time this just happened to be former C4 lightweight champion and recent title challenger here at Cali, Evan Duverney as well as Brazilian grafter Damian “Snake” Tonon who is fresh off a massive upset victory over former champion and division mainstay Rod De Minaur.

Most would have expected to see De Minaur here instead of Tonon but you cannot deny the man who just defeated the man the opportunity to be the man. It will certainly give Evan Duvernay something to think about too as his most recent loss was to De Minuar himself but his most recent fight is a win against the man he will face here tonight. Is it that victory over Tonon that will give him the confidence he needs to take the title or is it Tonon's victory over the only man to defeat him that will play on his mind and ultimately end up costing him his shot at glory?

Most bookies would have Duvernay as the favourite here considering he already has a win over Tonon but the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt is a submission master with ten submission finishes to his name. Whatever the outcome of this one you can bet that Rod Di Minaur will be laser focussed on regaining his championship belt sooner after.

265lbs+: Super-Heavyweight Title Bout
(CHAMPION) Sean Harrison (9-2) vs. (#1) Khabib “K-Ferg” Ferguson (10-4-1)

For the first time in quite a while, CMMA Super-Heavyweight champion Sean Harrison might feel that he has a bonafide challenger on his hands in the form of Brazilian Khabib Ferguson. For the past several defences, Harrison has beguiled the lack of competition in the division as he has taken on worthy but under skilled opponents but this time around he faces an opponent who is more than capable of causing an upset.

Challenger Khabib Ferguson first made an appearance at CMMA all the way back at CMMA 10 where he was inexplicable denied the vacant title following a rare draw with Quellon Blacksea. They did meet again down the line but Blacksea had long lost the title and so Ferguson's victory would have been a little bittersweet. From there Ferguson bounced around a couple of different organisations with little major success aside from a shot at the C4 heavyweight title of which he lost to Beau Anbner. After that, Ferguson rejoined the Cali ranks and so far has been having a much better time having gone 3-0 and shooting straight up into the number contender spot.

For Sean Harrison, he has barely needed longer than one round for the past nine fights and still remains undefeated in nine fights. Could this be the challenge that he has craved for so long or will Ferguson crumble like all before him?

205lbs: Light-Heavyweight Bout
(#7) Moritz Zimmerman (8-4) vs. (#8) Billy “Silver Star” Wilson (7-2)

One time title challenger Moritz Zimmerman takes on #8 ranked Billy Wilson in what is looking like Wilson's last fight at CMMA for a while.

Zimmerman remains a popular fighter here at CaliMMA no doubt in part due to this being his only home since getting his start in MMA. Though not currently in the best of form right now, he still manages to remain high up in the pecking order and it wouldn't take much at all to see him earn himself another shot at a title.

Billy Wilson arrived at CMMA right on the 100th event milestone and from there has managed to rack up a 3-1 record to add to his 7-2 overall. With four wins out of his last five, Wilson has been quickly climbing the rankings and gets closer and closer to a title shot. A real shame to lose him but then then who cares right? Not me haha ?

Wilson with the slight edge in the stand up, Zimmerman the submission hunting BJJ brown belt. Hopefully Zimmerman kicks his arse unless Wilson decides to stay in which case I take that back and remain impartial.

Mehdi Kanaani about next fight:

Rep - Big win for you at Cmma 149, huge upset in this one as you were the underdog. Now you fight in the main event of 5 rounds again as an underdog. Any words for your next fight with Konrad Wagner?
MK - About Cmma 149, Mcwrestler is a good guy. He will be back, his last fight was a humble one for him he nows the drill and he will fight for the title soon. And about Wagner I don t have so many words.
Rep - Many fans waited for some words, maybe a trashtalk like many fights that you fighted before Wagner.

MK - I know you wait for some trashtalk but here is the deal here. Wagner for me is the champ at 170. He is the goat of 170 champs from CMMA. My opionion is that If I will fight for the title, if he wons he will fight for the title with that no chin Rene Lafayette. Hey! Rene, you won shit man! You judge ass licker.
Rep - So you have a problem with the champ Rene Layafette?

Mk - Yea. Wagner is fine, if he wanted he was able to fight for the title and not with me for sure but he taked the most money fight with popularity and all the things not a fight with a Shakspere looking motherfucker.

Rep - You will come back at 155 after you run here at 170?

MK - For now I focus on the hardest fight of my career. When I came in Cmma I fighted as a main event, Wagner was fighting in the co main event in that night. In this game are levels and this guy advanced very good and stayed focused.  He won that last fight with Rene but fuck the judges sometime they are blind.
Rep - Any last words? Something for the fans?
MK - The fans love me man, see you at Cmma 161. And for my next opponent I will say that it won t be easy man so prepare cause I am about to smoke next time we meet.

I'm sure you will back and climbing up the rankings again but Gruff isn't a victim and he went out tonight to prove a point and put you back in your place.

CALI MMA-MONTHLY ROUNDUP

(PART 1 OF 4)

Hello again folks... damn hasn't it been a long-ass time since you lot saw me here, but hey good  news, i'm back baby, so you guys don't have to suffer with Alfred's boring ass writeups anymore (Just kiddin lol, they are class...don't fire me :( please ). Now i know i've been out of touch with the organization for a while, and i also know that most of you would be very eager to take an in-depth look at what's been cooking in each of our divisions, hence it's your lucky day boys, cause here it is...

135 LBS

STATE OF THE CHAMPION

Champ: Tekashi Six Nine

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Tekashi Six Nine

Tbh nothing much needs to be said about this guy other than the fact that this kid is unbeatable at the moment, and unfortunately for the rest of the fighters in this division, it's the harsh truth. I mean this kid has dominated the bantamweight division in 2 separate organizations now, so as much i would like to say that Tekashi Six Nine is just riding on a high and will eventually lose to some random donny, sadly (cause i have a fighter of my own in this division) i don't see it happening anytime soon.

  THE TITLE CONTENDER

#1 CONTENDER: Schmedgar Dimms

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Schmedgar Dimms

Now then, i have to be honest, when this guy stepped foot in CMMA, i personally didn't expect him to be a title contender so soon, but if his first performance was anything to go by, well he deserves this title shot. Well Mr Dimms here has had a very up and down career so far, as he has had some highs as a kickboxer, and then he has had to face the irony of losing a title fight while over at Blaze MMA, so all in all, he'll be hoping to put things right and win his first ever title next month.

POSSIBLE TITLE CONTENDERS

Caio Peieira

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Caio Peieira

Well, apart from getting outclassed by the champ, which btw happens to pretty much whoever faces the champ at this point, this guy has turned out to be one of the top contenders for the title if we go purely by performance, but up next, there is heavy rumours that he is going to be in an absolute dogfight with a guy who has just dropped a level from the featherweight division. So let's wait and watch what happens for him in the future, but rest assured he looks like a future title contender for sure.

Joe Biden

13b2.jpg

Well, let's get it out there, the guy who Caio is heavily rumoured to be matched up against is Joe Biden. Now, this guy has had a worldie of a time over at the 145lbs division for a while, but ever since that loss in the title fight, he's not been the same guy again, and therefore he desperately needed a change of scenary, and hence this move to a new division doesn't just put him in the mix for a title fight, but it also gives him a fresh start and a chance to prove himself to the public all over again.

OVERACHIEVERS OF THE MONTH

Rounin Hashima

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Rounin Hashima

Going purely by the rankings which btw are fire (Great work Rail Solimar, kudos to ya brother) Rounin has had a pretty good month it looks like, and that win alongside a performance bonus has helped his cause a lot for sure, but even then, i think he has still got a fair few yards to travel before he reaches the stage of being a title contender, but nonetheless, he has further strengthened his grip at the top #5 spots in the division, and hence he will be looking to continue his very good progress in his next few fights to hopefully get closer to a title shot.

145 LBS

STATE OF THE CHAMPION

Champ: Yasha Big Mouth

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Yasha Big Mouth

Now, this guy genuinely needs no introduction or any of that shit at all, cause he is simply, a flat out destroyer...and let me tell you, not many fighters get's me to call them destroyers, but honestly, this dude is scary as-F***, cause nobody and i mean abso-fuckin-lutely-nobody can stop this dude atm. The worst part being, the only person who looked to have his number is not even fighting in here anymore, so as sad as this might sound, i see Yasha dominating the Cali-MMA (Featherweight division for a long time to come).

THE TITLE CONTENDER

#1 CONTENDER: Middle Finger

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Middle Finger

Now if there was ever an example of a guy succeeding after never giving up during dissappointments, then this is it, cause let me tell you, Mr finger here has gone through some tumultuous times in his career, but now under new management he simply looks like a man reborn...but will that be enough to dislodge a champ who looks ridiculously good atm? who knows, but one thing we know for sure will be, that the title fight is going to be one hell of an exciting bout which nobody would wanna miss.

POSSIBLE TITLE CONTENDERS

Keith Kenneth Ferkingstad

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Keith Kenneth Ferkingstad

Now another guy who has turned his career upside down for all the right reasons is this don...cause after a few shambolic perfomances in the beginning of his CMMA career, he has simply looked unbeatable since then, and is currently riding high with a 4-fight win streak, so he'll definitely be one of the guys who is right in the mix for a shot at the title, but for now, he'll simply need to wait for his chance.

Slash Shredder

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Slash Shredder

Now this kid has simply been on an absolute tear through the division atm, as he is currently on a 3-fight win streak (all 3 contains performance related bonuses) and is seeing his name skyrocket through the division. But although he has looked emaculate so far, we have to keep his mind that he hasn't faced any of the big boys as of yet, so we'll just have to wait and watch where this guy ends up, but sky is the limit for this guy and that's for sure.

OVERACHIEVERS OF THE MONTH

Genkei Takahashi

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Genkei Takahashi

Well apart from a tough loss to the current number #1 contender, his career path seems to be heading very much in the right path at the moment, and the back to back wins has also helped him jump right up towards the top of the featherweight rankings, so all in all, he is having the time of his life at the moment probably, but we have to remember that everytime he has come across a top fighter or a top contender, he's lost..but nontheless, hopefully he's learnt his lessons the hard way and will finally unlock his hidden potential and win a title in the near future, but unfortunately all we can do is wait and watch.

So that's it for part 1 of this monthly roundup of the divisions, i hope you guys liked it (leave a comment if you want me to make changes to the format of writing or if you want some specific info added to the writeup) so until next time, have a good day and cya!

Superb work fellas. Thank you Matty for an awesome divisional breakdown and thanks always to Raul for doing the kick ass rankings.

Also it's nice to see a little interaction from some managers as it just brings things to life a little bit. We've also gotten a decent grudge match or two out of smack talk and it would be cool to build some more.

CALI MMA- MONTHLY ROUNDUP                       (PART 2 OF 4)

Right then, i think i gave a long enough description of what this and the next couple writeups will be all about yessterday, so i'll not waste anymore time on repeating the same thing, therefore let's jump straight in and see what i got in store for ya'll today...

155 LBS

STATE OF THE CHAMPION

Champ: Evan Duvernay

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Evan Duvernay

Now the champ is really not the hardest guy to describe imo, cause he's just a fuckn beast! And i'm not even kiddin in that regard. Now why do i say that you may ask? Well the answer is very simple, which is that this guy tends to absolutely annihalate his opponents for the entirity of their fight, when he doesn't just knock em out sooner that is, and so far, apart from a very miniscule blip in his CMMA debut, he's had a picture perfect career, which he'll hope to continue...But since he has not fought any of the top-top contenders in the division, the jury is still out whether he is the best Lightweight at CMMA or not,so until he beats one of em, we will just have to wait i guess, but imho, this is the real deal right here.

THE TITLE CONTENDER

Number #1 Contender: Frank Morrison

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Frank Morrison

Now similarly like the champ, even Frank had a very stuttery start to life at CALI MMA, the first time round as well as on his second and current stint, but ever since that devastating loss on his return to Cali MMA, he seems to have polished up his art to defending and countering a lot, cause ever since that loss, not only no one has beaten him, but also no one has even come close to really breaking through his sturdy defence, and hence after 3 straight wins (2 post fight performance bonuses) he is getting his much deserved title shot, so hopefully he puts up a good performance and shows everyone why he is the top contender to the Lightweight title.

POSSIBLE TITLE CONTENDERS

Damian Tonon

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Damian Tonon

Well although he suffered a pretty disappointing loss in his maiden title fight, he is still considered and probably is one of the top contenders to that title. Now i know that he recently lost a title fight, but if we look at his recent CMMA record, this guy has only ever lost to the current champ, and has beaten almost everybody else who was put in front of him, so even after a loss in a title fight, there's no question that this kid is still gonna be there or thereabouts during the conversation about the next challenger for the champion.

Isaac Vernon

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Isaac Vernon

Now although he hasn't really beaten anyone of note so far, this guy has won 5 out of his last 6 bouts over here at Cali MMA and is currently on a 3-fight win streak, so this guy has to be in and around the conversation for a title shot soon, considering some of the top #5 fighters are either inactive or are busy with their grudge matches in a different organization,so look out for this guy, cause who knows he might turn out to be the special one.

OVERACHIEVERS OF THE MONTH

Samuel Clemens

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Samuel Clemens

Now this guy has really been on an outrageous tear through the division at the moment, and his 4-fight win streak (2 performance related bonuses) just proves my point further. It's true that this kid hasn't really come up with any serious competition as of yet, but whatever little i've seen of him, i've been left very impressed, so keep an eye on this guy, cause he could potentially go onto do some great things in this sport.

170 LBS

STATE OF THE CHAMPION

Champ: Rene Lafayette

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Dwight SchruteMixed Martial Arts Fighter - Rene Lafayette

Now although this guy isn't really the most exhilaratingly dominant fighter in the world like most of the champs,he is a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve and gives absolutely everything in a fight and sometimes has a knack of pulling out some outrageous submission maneuvors sometimes, so all in all he is a pretty exciting guy to watch on the cage. But as we all know, he has yet to prove himself to the endearing public as a brilliant and dominant champ, so we just have to wait and see if that happens in the future.

THE TITLE CONTENDER

Number #1 Contender: Dwight Schrute

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Dwight Schrute

Now if anyone has earned a title shot in their life, it has got to be this guy right here, cause after toiling for 7 long grueling wins, he has finally got his much overdue and well deserved title shot. Alright yes some might complain that he hasn't fought any of the big guns yet, but hey hold your horses right there, cause he has beaten two top #10 contenders in his last two fights, so he fully deserves this shot, and hopefully he puts up a brilliant perfomance in his next fight and who knows maybe come out as the winner, while carrying a bright new shiny title by his side.

POSSIBLE TITLE CONTENDERS

Konrad Wagner

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Konrad Wagner

Now the former champ really has to be in the conversation for a title shot sooner rather than later, cause, well he simply deserves a rematch to win back what he thinks rightfully belongs to him, which if you didn't get it yet is the title. Well before he lost his title fight, he simply destroyed anyone and everyone who was put forth in front of him so that automatcally puts him at the top of the que for a title shot, which shouldn't take a long time to arrive, cause i think he is the next in line as it should be.

Demetrius Jackson

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Demetrius Jackson

Another guy who has only ever lost to the current champ during his stay at Cali-MMA is this don, but unlike Wagner, i do not think he'll get a title shot straight away, cause he has just lost a title fight, and unlike wagner, he hasn't defended the belt multiple times previously, so although before the disappointing loss in the title fight he indeed won a lot of fights, but i still think he needs to win a couple big matchups to get back into the mix for yet another title shot.

OVERACHIEVERS OF THE MONTH

Dude McWrestler

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Dude McWrestler

Well after a very bad showing against a top #5 contender in Mehdi Kannani, dude bounced back perfectly with a win against a higher ranked opponent this month to move up a spot in the rankings, which btw get's him even closer to his maiden title shot, but as we know he has still got a lot of work to do to break into that elusive top #5, and let me tell you the road to the top won't be easy at all, so dude needs to keep doing what he is doing, and hopefully he keeps on giving us brilliant performances like this for a long time to come.

So with that we have come to the end of yet another segment of the monthly roundup, i hope you guys will like it, and join me tomorrow for yet another segment of this months roundup featuring two more divisions, but until then take care and cya!

Amazing writing! Loving to see my face on the articles around the world!

If Mehdi would like to offer me a rematch, it would be great for me, I really missed a huge part of it in our first fight, now I fixed it and I am 100% sure I will not lose the rematch, not even a round. If Mehdi wants it, I want it, if CMMA wants it, let's make it happen. I want to get my revenge now or later, I wont let him go away with that win.

I will be at CMMA 161, Mehdi you should call me out if you're a man! But you have to win it first, if not, I will jump over the cage and challenge you for a rematch. Get your tickets for it! Make sure to be there because I will show up for the main card! Good luck to CMMA warriors!

I don't know what to say about the takedowns, but they we're allowed to happen, I let you take me down, let's try again. So, I won my last fight, you lost your last fight, I think it's time to get my rematch, let the matchmaker do his job, the fans wants to see the rematch, I want to smash your ugly face in the rematch. If you chose to run away from it and don't want it, you a pus$y, you know it's a 100% lose for you if the rematch happens, I am down for the trilogy if I beat you, but now I know what I did wrong, if we fight 30 rounds, I am 100% sure that I will win 98% of the rounds. Good luck with running, it's all on matchmaker shoulders, make it happen! Get me the rematch!

         CMMA-MONTHLY ROUNDUP

(PART 3 OF 4)

Right then, i know you guys have somewhat enjoyed the writeups in the past few days, at least the positive ratings suggests as much, therefore i'm back again with the 3rd segment in the monthly roundup which arguably features one of the most competitive divisions in the entirity of CALI MMA, yes people, we are talking about the Middleweight division. So buckle up and let's get the show rolling...

185 LBS

STATE OF THE CHAMPION

CHAMP: Mustafa Owens

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Mustafa Owens

Now the champ is a one of a kind type of guy tbh, i mean this dude is literally unbeatable, and hold on, before you say "unbeatable my foot, he has already lost a fight", yeah he has lost a fight, which was the first ever fight he competed in at an amateurish level, so that imo doesn't count...anyways back to the topic, well yeah this guy is unbeatable, he has won all of his 7 fight here at CALI MMA, and let me tell you, he bossed and dominated all his opponents...but even then some argued that he hasn't fought any of the top guns, so when he won the title fair and square against a so called top gun, well he clearly sent out the message that he is the best cause he deserves to be the best, hence it's gonna take a colossal effort for someone else to knock him off his perch that's for sure.

THE TITLE CONTENDER

Number #1 Contender: Manny Tavares

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Manny Tavares

One of the many former champs Middleweight champs in CALI-MMA, Manny Tavares has been on an ablsolute roll ever since he lost his title back in CMMA 114, cause since then, he has simply destroyed anything that moved in front of him once that cage got locked. Now again a few people have asked for him to fight a top #5 guy before challenging for the title, but guys he has won 2 back to back fights against top #10 competition and is on a 3 fight win streak currently which does count for something and therefore i do think he does deserve this title fight, and hopefully when that cage closes for his redemption bout of sorts, he will be hoping put in one of his best ever performances and once and for all shut all his doubters up and prove that he indeed is one of the best and deserves to be at the very top.

 POSSIBLE TITLE CONTENDERS

Ansis Kaupens

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Ansis Kaupens

I think after the 2 back to back stunning victories against top #5 opposition, Ansis is gonna be the next in line for a title shot, and let's be honest, not one of you can give me a reason as to why he shouldn't get that title fight (if he does get it that is), because ever since stepping foot into CALI MMA, he has been nothing short of spectacular (4 wins out of 4), and his last two fights were something like the icing on the cake, but to put the cherry on top of it, he needs to win a title, and therefore he will be hoping to get that title shot soon, and then win it ofcourse to show everyone watching, that the Ansis Kaupens era has truly begun.

Carter Wright

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Carter Wright

The most recent of the former Cali-MMA Middleweight champs, Carter Wright was the man to beat for a long time both at KOFW and over here at CALI MMA, but a very unexpected loss (mind you he was unbeaten until that loss, with his record being 9-0-1) to the current champ has put a dampner in the works for Carter to cement his legacy as one of the single best Middleweight in the history of Cali MMA, but as he showed in his previous fight, a true champ cannot be kept down for long, and therefore he will be hoping to continue his winning run with another fine performance, which could possibly end up pitting him for a title fight next, but as of now all we can do is wait and see what happens.

FIGHTS TO KEEP AN EYE ON

1) Carter Wright vs Kyle Switzer (CALI MMA 167)

2) Principo Adam vs Barack Obaminator (CALI MMA 169)

OVERACHIEVER OF THE MONTH

Peguero Jean Phillipe

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Peguero Jean Philippe

Well ever since getting a new manager onboard Mr Phillipe's performances have definitely improved by leaps and bounds from his old self (now i know he was a former champ but his fighting style was different back then), which btw was very pragmatic and very nervous on occasions...but now he seems to be a very different guy, a guy who actually goes into every fight expecting to win, and i know that loss to Quinton was a bad one, but we all have a bad day every now and then, so right about now, i'm hoping he keeps up his good form and keeps performing to the best of his abilites so that the world can finally see why so many were extremely excited to bring him onboard CALI MMA at the first opportunity during his rookie days.

So that's it for another segement of the monthly roundup here at CALI MMA, i hope you guys like it and until next time cya!

P.S. I know this part has only covered 1 division, but since i'm a bit busy this is all i can do today, but the rest of the 3 divisions will be covered in the next part so stay tuned :) .

CALI MMA-MONTHLY ROUNDUP

(PART 4 OF 5)

Right then lads, i know this segment took a little bit longer to come by than the previous ones, but anyways, the most important thing is that the penultimate part of the monthly roundup is finally upon us, and let me tell you, this writeup will be covered with praises for few of the most dominant fighters in the history of Cali MMA, so let's not waste anymore time and jump straight into it...

205 LBS

STATE OF THE CHAMPION

Champ: Joe Dinapoli

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Joe Dinapoli

I mean tbh, does this guy even need any introduction as to who he is and what he has done so far in his career? probably not, but i'll do it nevertheless. So Joe is probably the single most dominant champion in the history of Cali,MMA so far, and honestly, you only need to look at his unbeaten record of (16 wins 0 losses) to know how good a fighter he actually is (that is if you didn;t know that already). He has defeated, destroyed and knocked out all but two of his opponents so far in his career (even them two got peppered with a barage of strikes in the latter rounds) with one of them being his next opponent, so he will be hoping to make amends of some sort (i know it's crazy but making amends in Dinapoli's brain is probably a KO win) and win his next fight again to firstly continue his winning streak and show everyone that he is still the most dominant fighter at CALI MMA once again.

THE TITLE CONTENDER

Number #1 Contender: Dempsey O? Neill

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Dempsey ONeill

Now the number #1 contender has had a pretty decent career over here at CALI MMA so far (currently on a 3 fight win streak), but, there has been a stern criticism that has been thrown upon him by some fans who have been saying that he never actually turns up for the big fights when it really does matter, and to some extent i really do agree with that, cause in his first ever title defence against the current champ, he started the fight really well, but then faded off and lost the fight, and the same thing happened when he fought in a title eliminator bout against Sora Izanagi later on, so unfortunately until he actually beats some of the absolute top tier Light Heavyweights over here, i don't think the fans will get off his back with the criticisms, and hence he will really look to win this bout to once and for all prove to everyone that he has indeed learned from his mistakes and is finally ready to dominate the CALI MMA 205 LBS division for a long time to come.

POSSIBLE TITLE CONTENDERS

Sora Izanagi

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Sora Izanagi

The first of the potentially two contenders who are in with a definite shout at a title shot is Sora Izanagi, who btw has been in brilliant form since joining CALI MMA, well he was doing well before that too but losing to Jeremiah Hill is not the most impressive thing ever, nonetheless Sora has impressed one and all during his short stay at CALI MMA. Now he has been involved in a title fight previously against our dominant champ in Dinapoli, which (spoiler alert) he lost, but honestly, i think Dinapoli was pushed to his limits in that bout, and so far no one else has been able to accomplish that feat again, hence imo, if he beats his next opponent in a fight which i'm expecting to be a title eliminator (just my personal opinion) i think Sora will get another shot at the title which he deserves btw cause of another win against a top #10 contender in his previous bout, so right now he needs to do one thing and one thing only, WIN SORA WIN!

LEONZAR KENNEDY

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Leonzar Kennedy

Now the second of the potentially two fighters who can possibly get a shot at the title next up is Leonzar Kennedy, and mind you, this guy has literally beaten up anyone and everyone whom our fantastic matchmaker has throw at him, so how is he not the champ you may ask? Well, see the thing is, he has beaten everyone but one, and that guy just happens to be our champ Dinapoli (I mean at this point the entire division wants Dinapoli gone i think to actually give them a chance to win a title lol), o and btw, Mr Kennedy has lost to Dinapoli 3 times, and all 3 of them bouts were title fights, so yeah, it's been a tough journey, but we know that a fighter with a champions mentality never gives up, so Leonzar will look to win this fight so that he can get yet another shot at that title which has eluded him for so long, and prove to everyone that he is indeed the real deal.

OVERACHEIEVER OF THE MONTH

David Choke

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - David Choke

The overachiever of the month accolade for this month can really go to no other guy but our very own David Choke, and let's be honest ain't no one is argung with that judgement. Why? Well firstly he just happens to be unbeaten ever since joining CALI MMA, and is currently flying high on a 4-fight win streak, and to add to that, he has beaten a top #10 contender in his previous bout, so all in all everything that can go right, has gone right so far for him and therefore he will be looking to win his next bout, to further solidify his grip on the top #4 spot in the rankings and get ever closer to his maiden title shot at CALI MMA.

265 LBS

STATE OF THE CHAMPION

Champ: Adils Hallbjornsson

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Adils Hallbjornsson

On the talk about dominant champions, here's another guy for the record books CMMA fans, cause honestly just like Dinapoli at 205 LBS, Adils has absolutely dominated the Heavyweight division here at Cali MMA for a very long time, and will probably still do it for a lot longer. I mean yeah there was a blip down the pathway to domination but cmon, who doesn't have a bad day in the office once in a while? (maybe dinapoli but he is one of a kind) Anyways, moving on, apart from him being dominant in this division he has also made subtle changes to his approach during a fight from back when he started off fighting, for example, back in the day, Adils would looks to finish his opponents as quickly as possibly which resulted him being very rash with his level of aggression which ultimately cost him his title in the only loss he suffered at CALI MMA so far, but nowadays he is more calculated with his aggression and waits for his opportunity to knock someone out rather than go fishing for it, hence is a much better fighter nowadays, and hence he will look to win this fight to defend his title once again and show the entire division who's the boss.

THE TITLE CONTENDER

Number #1 Contender: Kjetil Olsen

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Kjetil Olsen

The number #1 contender Kjetil Olsen has almost had a picture perfect career so far at CALI MMA, but there was just one problem, he "almost" had a perfect career, but he didn't, and the sole reason he didn't have it was because he was simply too careless at the start of his first ever title defence, and he got knocked out cold... apart from that, he is the only guy at CALI MMA to have ever beaten the current champ fare and square inside a cage, and is currently flying high with a 2-fight win streak (one of them being a top #3 ranked fighter) under new management, therefore he will hope to continue his good form and win the bout, so that he can not only prove that the loss was just a blip in the road and a ver careless mistake on his part, but that he can also show the world once again that he is the man to beat in this division.

POSSIBLE TITLE CONTENDERS

Beau Abner

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Beau Abner

Well when we are talking about future title contenders, we honestly cannot look past Beau Abner imho, cause not only was he the most dominant heavyweight at both CALI MMA as well as C4, he was also unbeaten up until that one fateful match against the current champ, and that's why although it might take him one more win to get back into the title picture, he is definitely not far away from it, especially as he is sitting in the number #2 spot in the rankings currently, hence as far as he is concerned, if he wins this next fight, i think he is next in line for a title shot.

Noah Anderson

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Noah Anderson

Now Anderson might be a surprise inclusion to many in the context of choosing the next possible title contender, but however much i've seen of him over at BLAZE MMA, i've been left very impressed i got to say, and apart from those two losses against a current champion at Blaze Brothers, he has beaten everyone else and has previously also held the title for a short while at BLAZE MMA, hence if he beats the number #2 ranked fighter in the division, who knows maybe he will get a title shot in his second ever fight at CALI MMA itself, but as we know already, beating Abner is no easy feat, so he will have to be in his very best in that day, to firstly have a chance to win the fight, and secondly prove to his doubters that he is indeed ready to face the big boys in the big leagues like CALI MMA.

OVERACHIEVER OF THE MONTH

Chew Kok

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Chew Kok

Well i don't know how this has happened, but Chew has somehow found himself in the top #10 rankings of the Heavyweight Division, but since he has had the biggest jump in his rankings, i guess he deserves to be the overachiever of the month, and therefore he will get this accolade in my writeup. I mean performance wise, over at Blaze MMA, Chew was a beast, and is still unbeaten as a professional fighter, but as we know CALI MMA is a step above the rest and has got the best talents in the 360k range therefore he will need to perform well above his best to be successful in here and hopefully if he keeps his winning run going (8 wins 0 losses), way in the future, he will possibly be in line for a title shot, but until then we can only wait and see what happens.

Alright i lied in my previous writeup, this part won't be the last segment in the monthly roundup, cause we got one more division to cover, which means the last part of the monthly roundup will probably come out tomorrow and i might have some interesting news for ya'll. So until then, take care and cya!

35w3.jpgMehdi Kanaani gived some words this morning about rankings:

  - Who the fuck is this Bate Pepo? He is nr 4 at 170, ok. But how? Me and the others behind him in rankings are more low then him or what? Mcwrestler is nr 8? Me nr 6? Give me a chance and I will eat Bate shit Pepo and send him back to the prelims. I worked my ass out to be here and I will not watch how a piss of shit is climbing the rankings like nothing. I fighted Wagner to be nr 6? The 170 was on the wheel of going down as a weightclass if you ask me, few fighters, low hype fighters, I stepped in to put some sugar around and keep fighting and now a no name is top 5? Make top 15 on rankings or balance them I dont care but that guy is not top 5 material.

To be fair you're not wrong he's got a fight against my fighter Henry Skalitz who is unranked and lost to number 9 Walad Anubis in his last fight... Also a top 15 would be cool if it isn't to much work

Dude "El Duderino" McWrestler

Stop talking and give me the rematch I deserve. Tonight I go ahead and win the fight then I should get rematch from you, go ahead if you really "beat" me first time. Let's make it 1-1 then let's go for trilogy. Don't be a dickhead!
