admin
Please submit your ground moves where there is not a finish in this thread. Read the commentary guidelines thread before submitting your entries. Notes - Don't mention cuts in your commentary. Cuts are worked out seperately from this type of commentary. - Ground and pound. Please include a head shot in there somewhere. Any ground and pound attack can cause a cut, so we need to make sure the cut doesn't just come from knees to the body cos that would sound stupid. - Please keep it simple. One reversal or scramble per move, just to keep the commentary easy to understand. Try and keep it down to about 3 lines max. - Tactics. Someone can set to do no strikes at all but try submissions. So, don't mix in strikes and sub attempts from the same guy. - Counters. A positional counter can come off any move. - Winner is always the aggressor on the ground for T(KO)s. There can be counter sub though. Format e.g. Start position: ~ in guard on top. Commentary text: ~ throws and elbow that misses. ^ uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in ~'s guard. Guest
#2 reads a little funny. and i think that in #3 it has to start in mount, guard bottom, etc. just add that ^ goes for a guilatine first. at least i think thats how it works as there is no sub postion just attempts. but i like #1 and #3 when it is revised. CardiffWanderer
Reading about the changes to counteract grappling spamming and during inspiration from Tibau vs Neer, i think this would be a good bit of text going through the whole transition from both standing through wrestling to back standing. It will not be perfect but i think its a nice idea. Start Position: Both standing Commentary: X goes for a jab but Y ducks under and we see a massive double leg takedown Start Position: Fighter Y on the bottom Commentary: Y immediately pops his hips, raising X's hips from the ground. Y know has butterfly guard. Start Position: X on top in butterfly guard Commentary: X tries to deliver a diving right hand but Y unbalances X resulting in a scramble. Result: Both men standing again
