  5. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/manager_avatars/1413865312nn.png Ladies and gentleman Amsterdam's highest rising organisation DSC is bringing us a massive fight card that contain 170 and 265 lbs title fights when the biggest talents of this organisation colide to see who will rise to the top and claim their thrones as the king of their division! Every fight is carefully constructed to be a show stealer so you better sit tight and watch this ridiculously good card for the beggining to finish because you never know what you might miss. Preliminary card 155 lbs bout: Mark Kerr (5-5) vs Omni Kakadu (1-4) 205 lbs bout: Ultimate Brutality (11-16) vs Tyler Murphy (11-5) 170 lbs bout: Ashley Sheilds (7-4) vs Zach Didion (12-15-1) 170 lbs bout: Fredo Dio (8-5) vs Nicola Cardinale (4-1) 205 lbs bout: Jummi Jammi (13-9) vs Terry Hope (10-3) Main Card 170 lbs bout: Alex Mercer (15-6) vs Ray Robinson (6-3) We start the main card with 2 former title contenders Alex Mercer and Ray Robinson who both fell victims to the current champion Hildebran Coenan. Alex Mercer is a world class boxer that never gets tired because of the amazing conditioning he has. Mercer is a man who can use any of his masterfully skilled abilities against his opponent but one thing his opponents must know is that 93% of his wins end in a brutal TKO that not many people know how to deal with. On the other side Ray Robinson is making his 4th DSC appearance in which he has a score of 2 wins and 1 loss, unfortunately since that loss was for the title those 2 wins seem less important so he is trying to secure another win and get back into a title shot. Excellent grappler and boxer with impressive black belt in Jiu Jitsu is no stranger to spectacular finishes so we might see a high profile TKO or submission here. Anyway I gotta side with Alex Mercer on this, that loss might've stunned him but he is still a massive favorite for a reason. 265 lbs bout: Lucifrous Satanus (16-3) vs Brodus Clay (18-8) "The Beast" Lucifrous Satanus is called the best for a reason, at one point in his career he had 14 wins in a row and a perfect professional record. Former TGC World champion is a massive talent in DSC that always takes the spotlight in his fights. He is a 3 time sub of the night and 2 time KO of the night award winner and he is looking to add one more bonus tonight. Satanus is a wrestler, grappler and an amazing BJJ submission artist that can make you tap out from any given position. "Funkasaurus" Brodus Clay on the other side is the more experienced fighter who is making his 3rd DSC fight on this card with a score of 1 win and 1 loss. Lucifrous is famous for his submission skills but he might hit a wall on this one since Brodus Clay has never been submitted in his career which gives him a big plus in this fight. Nevertheless Norway's Satanus still has my vote in this fight, he will get a win one way or the other. 265 lbs World title bout: Dom DeNardo (14-3) vs Charlie Sheen (26-12-2) First of two title bouts of the evening is this fight, the champ Dom DeNardo is defending his title against a much more experienced fighter who has 2 impressive wins in DSC as of lately Charlie Sheen. The champ DeNardo is without of a doubt one of the most talented fighters in this company, holding a perfect score of 3 wins an 0 losses in DSC he has dismantled everyone in his path including Argivas Kareznikov and one of the biggest hyped fighters in DSC Gordus Clay. DeNardo is a perfect fighter in every way, he has no weakness, he excells at everything, especially his lethal high kicks that he relies on throughout the fight. On the other hand Charlie Sheen sweeped out 265 pounds division to get a title shot. Insanely flexible world class boxer with sensational Muay Thai skills is a worthy opponent for the champion and he might have what it takes to dethrone the king. With his 18 TKO and 8 decision wins he is a spectacular fighter that deserves the royal treatment and a high profile fight. I really belive that but Dom DeNardo is just way too good to lose at the moment, I cannot see that happen so I side with the champ on this one. 265 lbs bout: Frank Garfunkel (8-1) vs Gordus Clay (16-1) Gordus Clay losing to Dom DeNardo in their title bout was something not a lot of people saw coming since before that he had a perfect 16 wins a 0 losses, a record many people can only dream of. Clay is still a massive star even though that happened, after all he held a title in every organisation he has ever been in which is ridiculously amazing. I have no doubt that he will be a champion again but before that happens he has to face Frank Garfunkel who is a crazy skiled wrestler that is riding a 5 fight win streak. Taking a KO of the night at DSC 5 he is looking to add another victory to his record with the use of his high kick skills, olympic wrestling and BJJ submission skill. Gordus is a similar fighter who is used to high profile fights so this won't be a problem for him, can't say the same for Frank who is facing the biggest challenge of his career. Gordus has to win this fight and get a title shot again otherwise the hype train will derail from the tracks. I believe in Gordus Clay and give him a TKO win in 1st round. 170 lbs World title bout: Hildebrand Coenan (12-3) vs Cedric Maake (14-5-1) Netherlands own Hildebran Coenan is a crazy popular fighter and a champion for a reason, his boxing and flexibility is off the charts, his wrestling and BJJ skills are unmatched and his pure ability to dominate the fights is remarkable. He has not met his equal yet in this organisation but Cedric Maake is looking to step up and take that challenge. Can he do it? Hmmm we'll see. Maake has faced Coenan once in DSC 2 where the first 170 pounds champion was going to get crowned, he lost that fight via decision and Coenan has been dominating ever since. Maake's good wrestling and pure power might help him a lot in this fight if he uses it carefully and with some great tactics because finding Coenan's weakness is almost impossible. Maake will need to go into this fight 150% prepared and determined because if he doesn't then he won't stand a chance against the champion. To be honest I don't think Maake has what it takes but stranger things have happened, I gotta side with Coenan on this one anyway. Even though I like to root for the underdog I still have to go with logic here and say that title won't change its home in this fight. Now that is a smashing card! 2 title fights, rematches, possible title condenders and I am 100% sure that we will see some spectacular finishes. All of that on one card in Amsterdam's greatest organisation DSC! October 25, 2014 at The Red Light Arena in Amsterdam, don't you dare miss this!

  14. OK, so as many of you will know I am currently totally revamping counters and how they work. I'm making it so that we will see failed counter attempts as well as totally changing how we work out success rates for counters. During this process I've been re-thinking how I want to calculate the success rate of both counters and offensive moves. Background: At the moment the more infrequently you set your sliders to do a move, the more likely it is to land. So if you set e.g. head punches to 10%, they are more likely to land than if you set them to 20%, because of that "surprise factor" or whatever you want to call it. Call this a success modifier. Having spent more time thinking about it, this is a bit of a fudge. It works as a concept once the fight has been going for a round or so but let's say you come into a fight with a totally unpredictable gameplan and go for 100% takedowns with a striker; this system basically gives your opponent magical predicting powers straight from the first bell and your chance of landing a takedown is massively diminished because you set that slider so high. Basically that's rubbish. I have begun reworking that process and instead of using your slider tactics to modify success rate, I've used your fighter's stats over his entire fight history.... N.B. the only problem being we haven't stored clinch attempts / successes at all so we'll have to fudge that. As the fight then progresses, we tally up attempted attacks (offensive and counter) from your opponent, and adjust these values gradually over the course of the first 30 to 50 moves depending on experience and intelligence. So that's a muuuuch more logical system because it mimics gameplanning / prior knowledge of your opponent but does not assume your fighter can guess the opponent's gameplan for the current fight. However, it's a bit lacking for counters in particular because there is no differentiation in the previous fight's stats for whether it was an offensive move or a counter. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO eventually, here is my question; Would you guys like the OPTION (not required), to predict your opponent's standup & counter sliders to use as the initial base values instead of previous fight stats? I'd just give you a set of sliders that you'd set exactly like you set your own, which would be your prediction of your opponent's tactics. If you predicted high counter takedowns for example, your fighter would be pre-prepared and would be more likely to defend against them. Again though, as the fight progresses, these modifier numbers would adjust to what was actually happening in the fight. If you didn't choose to set up your opponent's slider predictions, we can default to using their historical fight stats. I'm always striving for more realism and I think this is a massively more realistic situation than what we had before both using the stats but obviously moreso using your own predictions. What do you guys think? edit; please read my next two replies down the page if you are unsure how it works.

  16. Allen is without a doubt the biggest pest/asshole in this game. He is a known multi cheat, he starts threads guaranteeing winning slider advice and charging people for it when he basically knows nothing about the game and he starts a thread every bloody week advertising a new tournament for his org where he benefits greatly from it monetarily and the participants basically win nothing. Thread 1 Thread 2 Thread 3 I like Castor, he brings some life to the forums, but Allen is just a prick. I love that he made this thread knowing full well that he's probably top 3 most disliked managers/forum personalities in the game.

  23. One thing I have considered for a while which would only require one slider and would negate that as an issue, would be a "go early ----- go late" slider, whereby you would use your energy / aggression early vs late. You wouldn't be able to tell your relative setting compared to your opponent so there would be more jeopardy there.

  27. Since most of our mmatycoon stars are in the late 20 to mid 30 it seems that fighters above 40 dont get the respect you shall pay an old man. Most of this 40+ gentlemen dont even get the chance to proof what they still got because they are enslaved as sparring-dummies to train the little boys how to fight. But not so this time! Steel Penn N.Y. made it happen: The battle of the grandpas. Whit a combined age of 85 years, this could be the "oldest" fight in mma-tycoon history? The protagonists are: Orion Cook (43) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27w3.jpg vs. "The Grandfather" Otis Gein (42) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22w1.jpg Well, you might ask "whats so interessting about to old, boldy guys manwrestling each other?" I will tell you! This is not just a simple mma-match to find out whos bones suffer less from osteoporosis. No, this two man battle for a trophy: the fabled denture. Everything startet on Friday the 3rd of october in the year of our Lord 2014, when Otis woke up and couldn't finde his denture. The glas of gin, in which he uses to keep them during the night was empty. Not even the gin was left. So Otis got really pissed and startet searching for the one who commited this sneaky robbery. But Otis is a clever guy, so he made up a plan. Because of his dentur-gin-rutin the true thief, who was wearing the denture during the day, will smell after gin in the evening he thought. So when the day got to an end and all the customers at Otis rest home had to go to bed (which was at approximately 6:30 pm). Otis went to bed as well, but this time he didn't take his "happy-sleep-pills" muhahahaha. Yea, evil Otis had to stay awake. During the night Otis sneaked around all the rooms of the rest home looking for the gangster when suddenly he smelled a very familiar fragrance: GIN (Otis is very sensitive for the smell of gin since he is addicted to it for approimately his whole life). It was comming out of Orion Cooks rome! Otis entered the room, took another smell and had a look at the glass next to Orions bed. Otis decission was made: Orion is the Thief! Immediatly Otis jumped onto Orions bed mounting him, but this move was a terrible mistake. The powerfull jump hit otis cardio that hard, so that he fell asleep just after landing in mount position. Since Orion was a good boy and swallowed down his medicin he was sleeping so deep that he didn't notice the assault at all. Next morning, when sexy nurse Mandy found those guys sleeping on each other she was shoked. She informed the director, who is a friend of Torrelio Sacana, the owner of Steel Penn N.Y.. Many discussions and tranquilizers later two signatures were placed on a fight-contract. This contract also states, that the winner of the fight will be the lawful owner of the fabled denture and also will get 50 percent of the loosers pills for the next month. Ladys and Gentlemen, i cant wait for this to happen! May the best grandpa win!

  28. I've seen this posted about before, and it really is a bit alarming to be honest. You have other guys like Soa Palelei, Matt Mitrione, and everyone else outside the rankings who are also over 30. Struve is literally the only fighter I can think of in the UFC Heavyweight division that's under 30. The unfortunate thing is however, I really don't rate him. Yes, he's got time to improve and I think his transition/submission game is decent, but he is prime example #1 on how to poorly use your length advantage on the feet. Jessamyn Duke would be #2. I'm not expecting him to be as good as JBJ, but I just haven't seen him improve on that at all over his last few fights, and I subsequently have major doubts on his potential ceiling (also partially due to his health issues). Maybe I need to watch closer, but I just don't see the potential in him to really make waves in the future - but he's got time to prove me very wrong. As it stands however, any of his opponents with a half decent standup are getting inside too easily and/or have some length themselves (see Browne). The fact he's the only one I can think of under 30 with a reasonable hope of upside (my doubts about his ceiling aside) in the division is scary for the future of it. EDIT: Found another one, Jared Rosholt is 28! I know nothing about him though. Hindsight is a bitch eh. I think people could see the shallowness of it then, but it's clearly become worse. 4-7 years later and it's pretty much the same people fighting with very little fresh blood. The fresh blood that has come in so far have been the likes of Ruan Potts who have really struggled and isn't exactly a spring chicken himself (36!). Other newish guys like Alexey Oleinik and Anthony Hamilton are also like 36-37 (Alexey has 58 pro fights!) and surely don't have a truly long term future either due to father time.

  29. Exactly, ive NEVER committed a crime or been arrested, obtained a degree, worked nearly 2 years at the courthouse and hold a solid leadership role where i work currently but have had police put their gun in my face 4 times in my life. Think i want to be a cop??? All over youtube are videos of police extorting black citizens, you cant possibly believe that EVERY warrant for arrest is clean. As Aylib said, "us vs them" is a two way street, For your example with Ferguson, there is a lot to be learned about a situation when they have taped off areas and raised platforms for media crews to record what is going on. (This is not a movie) Then, video has Mike Brown paying for the cigs but all they talk about is strongarm robbery as if police dont have handcuffs or tasers. For anything to change, not being racist is not good enough. One must HATE racism to rise above it. Whites have rallies against citizens being disarmed as muchacho said, but wont rally when an unarmed black(HUMAN) is gunned down. If he was openly gay, Darren Wilson would be punished right now rather than receiving funds. People have to stop saying "forget about it" and dedicate actual time to understand what was really done to them and more importantly why. Most whites AND BLACKS dont even understand that public lynchings were not carried out in front of 30-40 people, they planned the EVENT and sold tickets to thousands as if it was a UFC card. Tying up each leg of a man to two separate horses and whipping the horses until his body split in half while fucking his 7 year old daughter and his wife is forced to watch did an incredible job on an entire race's psyche. Broke apart the family so women want to be independent and men are either effeminate or hot tempered. Until that is understood, Humors will still call me "black panther" every once in a while, people like misfits/rainbow will randomly talk shit and KKK avatars like John Hess will be accepted and used for half a year without anyone saying anything.... Let someone so much as name a fighter "hitler" and see what happens... People of all races have to understand that there was/is more than one "holocaust." But i digress, K-Rad is right, more people in agreement does not mean they agree on something that is right. LOL

  36. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1412019797MFN_149_poster.jpg MFN 149: Unleashed in the East Our 5th stop on MFN's World Tour brought us to the Tokyo Bowl where we rocked it. Some may not recognize the image on the poster, but that's Judas Priest. Back in the late 70s they released a live album that this event was named after. Here's the best song on that album played a few years later: Francisco Manuel Ibanez vs. Hung Lo - We open the night with a local fighter from Tokyo stepping up and taking on a fairly experienced fighter. This was Ibanez's first fight for six months and he was very excited. Before the match Hung Lo knew he had a challenge in front of him by facing an unknown fighter. When the match started it became clear that Lo was going to try and win the fight in the clinch. He successfully pulled Ibanez into the clinch a few times, but each time it was Ibanez who was dishing out the punishment. 12 seconds into round two, while in the clinch, Ibanez dropped Lo with a big uppercut and scored a KO victory. This could be the first in many victories for the promising youngster. Johann Bismark vs. Dan Swano - After the first exciting match, the second match between two members of the 205 weight class began. Swano was still looking for his first win at MFN, whereas Bismark was looking to build on the momentum he attained from his victory in his only previous match with MFN. Just like Ibanez previously, Bismark is a local resident of Tokyo, and thus had the crowd on his side from the moment he walked down to the cage until the end of the fight. Both men have won by submission before, but Swano has many other ways to beat his opponent. From the beginning it was clear that Bismark was going to try and get another submission win. Submission attempt after submission attempt all failed. Finally by the time this one went to the judges table for a decision, Bismark had attempted a whopping 23 submissions without succeeding. Swano clearly made up his mind that he was not going to tap out, but played this fight too defensively for the judges opinion, and Bismark was awarded a decision victory. Xiahou Dun vs. Sanji Sanpun - Up next we had two fighters who had come a long way to fight in Tokyo. Dun hails from New York, whereas Sanpun resides in Rio de Janerio. Coming in, Sanpun had somewhat of a losing streak built up, whereas Dun was looking to build on the win in his MFN debut. Both men possessed skills across the board in terms of fighting ability, and could readily use any of the fighting disciplines to secure a victory. This made for an interesting and close match. Early on, Sanpun scored a successful takedown, and it became clear that he felt strongest on the ground. Dun, on the other hand, tried to stay boxing and kicking, but by the time this one went to decision, it was a relatively easy decision to make. Sanpun was awarded a decision victory and nobody in the audience was surprised, even though Dun landed a few good shots it just wasn't enough. Felipe Calderon vs. Abed Nadir - Calderon is well known in Las Vegas, but once again the crowd had a local fighter to cheer for when Nadir came down to the cage. Calderon is an elite boxer with hands that have ended many fights, whereas Nadir (who also has some boxing ability) was predicted to go to the ground and avoid Calderon's fists. Although exactly what most fans and experts agreed would happen tactically for both fighters, it was Calderon who ate a huge combination of punches from Nadir early in round 2 and was done. Before that combination, most of Nadir's damage had been done with ground strikes, but as he showed the audience, Nadir also can punch with the best of them. Magnus Landeskog vs. Jean-Louis Andre - The tale of Landeskog's career is quite a story. He showed a ton of promise early on, but right when he was on the cusp of greatness, he started to lose fights. After 4 straight losses, Landeskog's career path was very much in the air. He needed to right the course of it before he faded away into mediocrity. Landeskog's opponent, Andre, is a solid fighter who has failed to be consistently successful. In this matchup, Landeskog was the better ground fighter, while Andre was the better standup fighter. Landeskog scored a relatively early takedown but it was Andre who surprised most of the fans by going for submissions off his back. Even though the submissions were not successful, it gave Landeskog more to think about while he was maneuvering and going for submissions of his own. Eventually this one went to the judges table, as even though both fighters were active on the ground, neither could score a successful submission and get his opponent to tap out. The judges awarded the victory to Landeskog, although there was some controversy as one judge clearly liked Andre but most fans figured Landeskog performed better due to his successful takedowns. Nickolai Ketchum vs. Django Unchained - Another local fighter was in the next match, as chants of "Django! Django!" rang through the Tokyo Bowl as he came down to the cage. Ketchum, hailing from Los Angeles, was the underdog in the crowd's eyes as well as most experts. He faced a tough crowd and a tough opponent. Django is proficient in all fighting disciplines and is well trained. Ketchum is more of a heavy handed, intelligent boxer with some wrestling ability. Ketchum also came into the fight with significantly more experience, but the hostile crowd towards him did not care. As the fight began, it was clear Ketchum's plan was to beat Django on his feet. He hit him over and over with head and body punches, even knocking him down 2 minutes into the fight. Every punch that Ketchum landed seemed to open up Django, as he bled more and more from the strikes. Eventually, the referee stopped the fight in Ketchum's favor, as Django's face was beaten into a bloody mess. The crowd was displeased, but it was a huge victory for Ketchum. Vincent Mangano vs. Kyle Turris - After that bloody match, a couple of long standing MFN fighters faced off. Even though between them they have fought a combined 21 fights at MFN, they had never faced each other. Turris tends to fight for a decision, whereas most of Mangano's fights are settled by KO. Both men are skilled boxers, but Turris has some success on the ground as well. Fans and experts were predicting a boxing match and a quick big hook at almost the 2 minute point in the match sent Mangano to the ground. Turris won by KO with some well placed head shots. Bernard Benton vs. Craig Anderson - After losing to future MFN Hall of Famer Rob Tracey in his last fight, Benton came into this fight with Anderson looking to rebound and return to winning. Anderson, on the other hand, was looking to capitalize on the win in his last fight and continue to put his losing streak from earlier in the year behind him. On paper, this one had the look of a boxer (Benton) vs. wrestler (Anderson) based on the proficiencies for each fighter in those areas. Anderson knew that to win, he needed to get Benton on the ground, and that is exactly what he did. In this match Benton never could really get his attack started and Anderson dominated the position. With no surprise, Anderson was awarded the decision victory and was clearly better than Benton tonight. Benton will rebound though... count on it. Simon Phoenix vs. CJ Richards - In the co-main event, Phoenix and Richards were ready to go to war. Neither fighter has had consistent success upon joining MFN, but both claimed that they were ready to change that fact before their fight began. Phoenix's strengths are more boxing-based whereas Richards is more suited for ground fighting, and each fighter's plan for the match was clear very early in the match. Richards was able to score an early takedown, and immediately went to work on Phoenix. To Richards' surprise, it was Phoenix who started using submissions in an attempt to make Richards tap. After a few failed attempts as well as some jockeying back and forth for position, Phoenix secured a rear naked choke on Richards and the match was over as Richards feverishly hit the mat. What a surprise finish! Douglas Quaid vs. Johny Slicer - As we said goodbye to Tokyo, MFN featured 2 members of the 265 weight class. Quaid was making his MFN debut, whereas Slicer was facing his 5th opponent at MFN. This one was billed as the Muai Thai fighter (Quaid) versus the Wrestler (Slicer) as these men came down to the cage. Quaid knew that with a win he would be strongly considered for a title shot next month, whereas Slicer also mentioned a title shot as a possibility in his pre-fight interview. Neither man hailed from Tokyo, so by the time this fight happened quite a few of the fans had left already. It was comparable to a Catholic church after Communion but before dismissal. Those that stayed saw a relatively quick fight with Quaid doing his best "head hunter" impression scoring an early second round KO with an absolutely brutal left hook. "Bring on the champion...whoever he is" Quaid shouted after the fight.

  38. It doesn't matter how well it's running, GAMMA lost all chances of being a top org after the multi shit.

  39. We have our first visitor. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=261340 His manager is 11-0. Off to a great start, and wishing to continue his winning ways, and as a reward for being the first, I have sent him a reward of 10k!

  41. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13898156624342.jpg On the 10th of November 2013, in the middle of a thunderstorm, Drake Dusk set foot on earth for the first time. The minute he was born, all lights went out and the dogs started howling. The prophecy had become true; the bringer of choas and mayhem had arrived! After he nearly beheaded his brother Duke with dental floss, he was send to Holland to live with his uncle. The man was the owner of a gym and knew that kicking the shit out of heavybags and fat, smelly unconditioned wannabe fighters would be ideal for Drake to release a bit of steam without getting locked up again. His arrogance learned him some hard lessons, as saying "My boot, your face; the perfect couple." isn't the best way to introduce yourself to a K1 Legend like Ernesto Hoost at training.

  42. Do you think someone would want to be on the force, after their cousin was harrased, their borther was beat, father pulled over numerous times for no reason? It transcends generations. The us vs them is not a one sided issue, and understandably so.

  43. There are a few good public gyms available but its probably not quite the standard that you would like, if someone is interested in opening a gym for the fighters of this tournament and in the future this org, contact me or Beau Banks and we can get talking about it. Couple of gyms that Im a nutrition partner with and think are a good standard. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gympublic.php?gmid=3201 http://www.mmatycoon.com/gympublic.php?gmid=2323

  45. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13898156624342.jpg The name? Dusk. Drake Dusk. I have a cool ass avatar but I'm not a very talented fighter. I never was. I started off my career as Willem Van Oranje. If my manager were competent, he would of identified my lack of hiddens and expected my lack of success at some point. Instead, when I quit my job as a professional can crusher, and faced adversity for the first time in my career, my manager blames the game changes for his inability to put me in a winning position and quit the game, and quit on my inevitable lackluster future. It might not all be his fault, because I popped experienced which is usually a sign that I'm going to suck. But if there's one thing you should remember about the has-been who never was, it wasn't my managers fault I lost. It wasn't my lack of hiddens that I lost. It was the fight engine changes that completely altered my ability to win.

  46. Do the game economy a favor and keep your money in your account. It will be good to have it when/if you come back.
