  1. The way I approach Projects is how would it be the most efficient way to train them. Make sure that the starting Primaries and Secondaries are relevant to each other, then you will maximise the efficiency of secondary training. In most cases, I wouldn't bother starting with BJJ, since you can earn a Brown Belt through secondary training alone. If you are gonna run a Boxer, you should give him Punches, SD and Clinch, since they are all relevant, and it means you will get a boost to MT while you train up his kicks, and your Wrestling/BJJ will be boosted from TDD, Def Grap and Transitions, along with Subs, GnP, Escapes depending on which you go for For a Muay Thai starter, Kicks should replace the Punches, because it's pretty much the same scenario where you then train up your Punches and get a boost to Boxing. For both of these, you realistically would also swap Striking Defense for Kicks/Punches, because training up SD improves your Boxing AND Muay Thai. I also always start with 12 in Conditioning, but that's just my preference. I generally only go with those two builds, so somebody else might be better suited for discussing a Grappling build to start. And also, ALWAYS start with Wonderful Clinchwork. Training up Clinch gives you points in Elbows and Knees, which ends up becoming wasted points when you hit the cap, so to train it up from Useless will give you a lot more points compared to starting from Wonderful.

  2. Sounds like his dad can't handle not being in control of him. I do understand that he is a young kid and TriStar will push him a lot, but why wouldn't you let him train with some of the best in the world.

  3. QUOTE (Eversor @ May 5 2010, 09:46 AM) You could choose either one for one of the four primaries: Boxing / Kick Boxing Muay Thai / Karate Wrestling / Judo BJJ / Sambo The primaries would affect secondaries something along these lines (both offensive and defensive): Boxing has better punches than Karate, but Karate affects kicks. Kick Boxing has better punches than Muay Thai, but Muay Thai has better clinchgame. Wrestling has better takedowns for shooting from afar, but Judo has better takedowns from the clinch. BJJ has better chokes, but Sambo has better leglocks. No gamebreaking changes, just a small coefficient to add a little more flavor. Existing fighters could have a one time opportunity to change their primaries to corresponding ones if they so wish for. Reviving a quote form an old thread and although not an immediate important must have improvement, I think this is actually a really, really, good & creative idea that would add a lot more depth, etc. Could use some revising of course, but the base idea is great. Instead of every fighter being boxer/muay thai/wrestler/bjj we could have something that makes them a lil different. The only challenge is finding the perfect style to pair up with it's counter part. I.E. to "argue with the quote" Boxing & Kickboxing could be paired up, but then what would you pair up with muay thai? And for Sambo, I'd say it gets a small boost to GNP & takedowns, and BJJ is submissions and defensive grappling. Maybe instead of "Karate" call it "Martial Arts" to give it a more broad horizon for the imagination of styles. Who knows. The only reason why I could see somebody suggesting against it is; everything fuctions as it is, it could be extremely complicated. Contrary to some belief, you really wouldn't have to add any additional flavor text. The most challenging thing in my mind about this would be tweaking the benefits you'd get for what primary, and programming that into the system, and also I don't know how secondaries and primaries mesh to create a "total" for the game's fight engine, all that is extremely complex to me. So if it required a major overhaul, obviously it really wouldn't be worth all the time but I firmly believe that the idea of seeing and being able to select one of two options, per primary, would be awesome. Not 100% sure if this was shot down or not, I seen a thread about "adding primary's" recently closed, but I'm not asking for a complete overhaul or anything like that, I would think it could be as simple as adding selective/optional text upon fighter creation? --- if that makes any sense. If it doesn't I could elaborate.

  4. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/144766762227.png Legacy! 28 - Available on PPV 12.05.15 Belle Centre - Montreal Legacy! hits the Belle Centre in Montreal again on the 5th for one of its biggest events to date. An action packed card will be watched worldwide on PPV when some of the best talent the tycooniverse has to offer strut their stuff in front of more then 21,000 fans in Montreal. Main Event Bantanweight Bout Ruud Gullit vs Jong Un Kim The night main event will prove big things can come in small packages when two of the best bantamweights on the planet go toe to toe in what will be a number one contender matchup for the the prestigious Legacy! strap. Ruud Gullit makes his debut for Legacy after registering a record of 28-7 on the pro circuit, with all of his 28 wins being finishes. The highly popular Gullit will be looking to prove a point and further solidify his spot in the top ten of the bantamweight weight class globally. Boasting a fantastic grappling pedigree topped off with a black belt in BJJ aswell as some absolute bazooka fists you can expect Gullit to come out hard and fast and try to knock Kim out early before his opponent capitalises on his striking advantage. Jong Un Kim enters the Legacy! cage for the second time, after a complete domination at the now defunct Imperial. The former Imperial champion will come into this fight with a distinct favourite status over Gullit and surely one eye on the current Legacy! championship in the near future, blessed with the best of both worlds, Kim can finish you anywhere the fight goes and may look to take Gullit down and back his black belt in over the dangerous boxer, after all, everyone has a punchers chance and Kim has been put out before. Prediction The entire world will be doing Gangnam style! Jong Un Kim by Decision Co-Main Event Middleweight Championship Cid Strife vs Wendel Clark The co-main event of the evening features two of the best up and coming middleweights in the world, when the 12-1 Cid Strife comes face to face with the 12-2 Canadian native Wendel Clark. Cid Strife, a former Imperial champion will be a force to be reckoned with for some years to come, a highly skilled fighter who has the world at his feet at the tender age of 24, Strife will look to catapult himself into the Tycoon stratosphere at his new home, Legacy!. A complete striker, there's no questioning what Strife will be looking to do, and that's batter his opponent on the feet from the outside and in the clinch. Wendel Clark will enter the cage for Legacy! looking for his third straight win for the organization and to secure the Legacy! belt around the waist of a Canadian who will have the crowd firmly behind him. Underdog status won't phase Clark who will be looking to avoid engaging in too many striking exchanges and get this one down to the ground where he carries a distinct advantage and perhaps his only hope, don't count him out though, you don't get a record of 12-2 for no reason. Prediction Cid Strife by TKO Middleweight Bought Ed Gennero vs Jon Altare Gennero and Altare square off what should be an entertaining fight sure to deliver a highlight reel finish and push the winner toward the top end their division and on the right track toward a title shot in the future. Gennero made his debut with Legacy in his last fight and the crowd who attended were not disappointed, with him finishing the fight with a brutal spinning backfist and announcing his arrival to Legacy! A heavy handed brawler with a all or nothing approach, Gennero has one plan, and that's to punch Altare in the face, hard. Altare enters the fight with patchy form in his last six fights and will look to finally string two wins together for Legacy when he collides with Gennero. Altare has devastating power and this might be the perfect fight for him to showcase that power. Don't blink during this fight, you might miss the best part. Prediction Altare by TKO Heavyweight Bout Ji Lu vs Thomas Bannon The big dogs step into the yard to lock jaws in what will be one of the most anticipated fights of the night. Lu comes into the fight with a strong record and a renowned ability to find a finish, with the stronger boxing game and superior ground game, this one can go either way, however Lu might do best to avoid the standup and go for a submission win. Bannon, or as he is better known, "The Cannon" will come into this fight looking to flaunt his scary knockout power and continue his run of knockouts toward the heavyweight belt. Prediction Thomas Bannon by TKO Super Heavyweight Championship Dave Brown vs John Bunting The nights main card kicks off with a bang when two behemoths clash in search for literally the biggest belt that Legacy! has to offer. Dave Brown, a world class striker will face off with an equally brilliant striker in search of the title, in a battle of the chins it seems Bunting may have the edge in both durability and youth over the aging Bunting. Able to finish on the feet and on the ground, he should be a good bet to capture the belt. John Bunting will be looking to add another barrel to his vault full, with all the skills needed to win, it really is a matter of whether his chin holds up long enough to get the finish himself, can he overcome his declining chin and add another highlight reel knockout to his long resume? Prediction Dave Brown by TKO

  6. Before i start,Im fairly new to the game and this is my first time suggesting something,So if it seems garbage,I Apologize. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Injuries:I Think it could be a decent idea to suggest this to add a small bit more realism to the game:Next to the injury icon,There can be some info regarding the injury,For example,Next to the injury icon could be this:(Broken Hand,Broken Jaw,Fractured fingers,Concussion,Etc.)One of the things that came to my non-existant mind was that maybe different kinds of injuries take longer or sooner to heal,For example Fractured fingers will be healed sooner than a broken hand,Concussions longer than Broken Jaw Etc... If possible,The poor, poor fighter can have multiple injuries at once,For example you could have broken jaw and hand at the same time,Which will combine the time in total,Taking longer to heal up. Cuts:Same as the injury,Only differences i think of right now are the locations,For example:Eyebrow's,Below the eye,Forehead,Etc... The Effect of the cut could also be there,For example:Minor,Mild,Deep,Very Deep. Everything is the same as the injury one except for those changes. Sorry for the TL;DR.This is just something i had in mind a long time ago.

  8. It would be a nice addition along with hospitals to treat these chronic injuries, a money sink and a bit more in depth realism to the game. It could allow fighters perhaps to last a year or two in game years if they are kept in good condition with good treatment.

  9. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14289445908269.jpg Dickie "The Dirt" Dirty Akihiro so far only had one problem in his life, and that was his constant doubts about if his nails were looking great . The thing is , he will soon have another problem in his life, being me. When he meets me in the octagon, he better has cut those ugly nails so that his only problem will be me. I'm not a bad guy, so I'l explain him why it's not good to have such long nails. 1) You might injure yourself when your nails get caugt in zippers, windows,... or your female parts. 2) Using your hands to eat food with such nails can allow bacteria to enter your system and make you sick before the fight. We wouldn't want that to happen! 3) It's difficult to get a grip on something/someone without breaking your own precious nails, so if you don't want me to rip them off, cut the damn shit! http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/2013/06/tumblr_inline_mnuwr3TsXh1r79k32.gif

  12. Thanks for the nominations guys. I would like to nominate five people. 1. Grant Brophy - Does an amazing job running Troid EP and has a wiki page for his organisation. Also an excellent co-host on the MMA Tycoon Podcast. 2. John Hetfield - John doesn't get enough credit for the job he does behind the scenes for the podcast, he's the guy who records it and then makes time to create a video for the podcast 3. Bjorn O'Donnel - Bjorn has helped out with the MMA Tycoon Facebook page posting updates regarding the game. Very grateful for him helping out. 4. Aaron ThaiGuy - He's helped Mike convert some of the web pages so they can be used for the mobile app for MMA Tycoon, I'm sure Mike is very grateful for his help. 5. Steel Penn - This guy puts a lot of his own money into MMA Tycoon and for that alone he deserves to be on this list.

  14. How could I miss him? Definitely deserves a nomination. Main argument against him could be that he started late and didn't fought any good opponents (that probably why he stayed below my radar) but that argument was overthrown when he made his case against Chocula.

  15. It's all about the payday for White, always has been always will be. But, Ronda's coaches are just as much to blame, just like they said Ronda could stand with Holly in the first place, they took Ronda completely out of her game with that approach.

  17. ITFL. Not been lucky enough to have taken part yet but seems to be very well run. I'm looking forward to future seasons (possibly the next) when my youngsters can take part. Not as well known as some of the big tournaments but I feel Junior Grand Master of KT deserves a shout out. It seems pretty rare that creation tournaments can attract 32 fighters these days, let alone KT fighters. Joe Lang did an awesome job in his continual quest to revive KT.

  18. While i may cop a lot of flack for this, but i'm gonna go out on a limb and say Vendetta. Now while there are a minority of idiots in that alliance that give them a bad name, i gotta say i get along with most of them and the banter i have between the majority of them stays friendly. I generally ignore the idiots (the minority) of that alliance and while we have had our differences in the past there is no denying that Vendetta have been having great success in the orgs they run as well as with their fighters. Whether they can continue remains to be seen but to ignore their recent success would be silly. Can they keep it up? We'll see in 2016. But in 2015 there is no denying they did well. Stay Classy y'all!

I signed him up to your other 145lbs tournament but it seems like that one might not be happening? I'd rather have him participate in this one if it moves forward. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/1325098637sas_outkast_sample_24_.gif 1. Davy Jones (Fighter: Romulus "The Victor" Fietsora) 2. 32. Well a lot of fighters are also old, since for KT you dont need to remain so many skills, you can manage to keep them fighting to 38-40 around that. Depends on the Fighter. Just look up Don Marciano, still a beast at the end with age 41

  37. This was my message to the few fighters I had signed and sums it up pretty much: hey everyone the rumor is correct, after the special event at NYFN I will become the boss at Syn. I want to make clear why to you guys first. 1) Jeff looked for a new boss as he didn't had the time anymore and wanted me and didn't find anyone else who he was ok with doing it. It's a huge opportunity and honor to be able to have been considered for such a task. 2) If I wouldn't have done it, Syn could have been bought out by a rival org most likely and we would lose one of the most legendary and elite orgs in the game and that would have been a loss to everyone. for all of you with fighters at NYFN, I will release them later and send an extra signing bonus as an apology. I would have never taken this opportunity, no matter how great it is, if it weren't for the case that otherwise Syn would have disappeared most likely otherwise. for any questions or requests, I am always available bjorn

  39. 5 in top 15/20 but everyone likes to shit on Vendetta and pretend our accomplishments are imaginary this is more of a popularity contest between the good alliances then just being a good alliance. Vote Droogs: Ultaviolence and do the right thing. And so farewell from your little droog. And to all others in this story profound shooms of lip-music, brrrrrr. And they can kiss my sharries. But you, O my brothers, remember sometimes thy little Alex that was. Amen. And all that cal.
