  6. August 2017 recap part 2 By Alika Webb GAMMA#655 Volkov v Pierno – August 19 170 title - Ilya Mstislav Volkov © Vs Tim Pierno Ilya Mstislav Volkov was once again sitting on the welterweight throne and he wasn’t going to give it up easily. Fresh off a total war with Rufus McTearson, the new champion felt the pressure to perform more than usual as he needed a dominant performance to once again establish himself as the undisputed champion. Challenger Tim Pierno on the other hand hadn’t been defeated in his last four fights. Italian native Tim Pierno is known for his endurance and never say die attitude so the fans knew they were in for a slugfest. The tale of the fight was all about the champion’s dominance and the challenger’s frustrations getting the better of him as he was constantly chasing after the champion’s shadow. Ilya Mstislav Volkov did a great job of mixing his strikes and his patterns of attack shifted so much that it flustered the challenger to no end. Tim Pierno was looking for that knockout punch and was swinging haymakers like you wouldn’t believe but no matter how hard you throw them, if they don’t land you’re just wasting energy. The champion kept the challenger on his toes by constantly striking and getting out of the way before the challenger had time to strike back. Winner: Ilya Mstislav Volkov by unanimous decision. GAMMA#656 Goodman v Diehard – August 19 155 title - Vladimir Emelienko © Vs Cullen Castrello Although his last fight nearly ended on a sour note, Vladimir Emelienko conquered the beast that is the former champion - Robert "Sitek" Sito - and was thereby crowned the new lightweight champion. Now he faced his first challenger, the bigger and leaner Cullen Castrello. On a three fight winning streak, Cullen Castrello looked to win the first title fight in his career at a respective 33 years of age. Both are primarily known for their kickboxing ability but the challenger has a mean clinch game, packs a punch and had a height advantage that couldn’t be ignored so the champion knew he would have his hands full. In true Emelienko style, the champion tried to establish his dominance but it was the swarming attacks of the challenger that set the pace. Castrello did exactly what the champion himself is actually known for and then some, Castrello simply outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game. While Castrello was thanking his fans after the fight, Vladimir Emelienko was clearly disappointed and emotional in his loss as he stormed out of the cage as soon as Castrello’s hand was raised. Winner: Cullen Castrello by unanimous decision. 185 title - Saul Goodman © Vs Bruce Diehard Saul "Slip The Jab" Goodman didn’t have it easy against his last opponent but the result was just the same, as the champion retained and won his fifth fight in a row. A kickboxer who prides himself for his work ethics as hard work is his number one weapon. He never takes it easy and never wants to give his opponents an inch. He had another tough bone to chew as the next opponent was waiting in line. The challenger this time was a new arrival from KnockOut FC, the gritty grappler and submission powerhouse Bruce "B A M F" Diehard. Saul "Slip The Jab" Goodman’s strength is his relentlessness to keep coming at you with everything he’s got but the challenger more than put the champion’s stamina to the test as Bruce Diehard blasted the champion with body punches and was always looking to close the distance. A few close calls aside on the ground, the champion’s dominance was crystal clear as he continuously rained an armageddon of striking torrents. Vicious punches struck meat and bone with lethal intent, shotgun-like kicks struck the challenger with malice and at the end of the day, Saul Goodman once again had his hand raised. Winner: Saul Goodman by unanimous decision. The rest of the month was dominated by the Money Fight, the entire world was glued to their screens as they watched one of the biggest super fights in the history of combat sports. But in that short timeframe, Gamma’s legions of gladiators did not lay still. No title was defended but title implications were overly present. Irish firepower Arthur Curry made a statement and earned himself a title shot with a quick knockout victory over former heavyweight champion Joe Jordan. Divock Origi’s chances of getting the trilogy he so craved against Menace Defoe appear grim at best as he was defeated by Hector Verama in a three round war and it appears his manager has all but left the building. Last but not least, Lao Shin "To Chin" made his case for another title fight by taking out Daniel Mosby with a convincing first round finish.

  11. http://i.imgur.com/BawKd7t.png Edition #21 Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Edition #21 of TWW News. With nearly 2 months since our last edition, we have plenty of cover in recent events along with updating you all on the current affairs in the game. Org Round Up Evolution looked like it was going to be out of business on a permanent basis when they sold their roster to CEC which solidified their star power, despite a number of fighters signing elsewhere, but Mega Jug has made a return with the org, which has now installed a 288k ID restriction. People have speculated why this ID restriction would be in place rather than say 285k or 290k, and people have pointed out that Mega Jug’s unsigned fighters begin with 288k. While that isn’t proven to be the reasoning behind it, it will be interesting to see how Evolution progresses under the new direction. Synchronicity continues to be a powerhouse in the Org rankings, holding onto the #1 position for what seems to be a permanent basis now. They have an incredible 24% of the top 100 fighters, and over 70 fighters in the top 1000 P4P, along with 5 of the current top 10, with Pandahammer being in GAMMA for a superfight. GAMMA and CEC have both been slowly making improvements to their orgs, with GAMMA having 19 of the top 100 and CEC having 16 fighters in there. Both orgs are in close contention for the #2 spot in the power rankings this time, but will we see a switch in them this time? Aspire MMA continues to be one of the most exciting brands the game has to offer, with their recent announcement of their initial HOF class and their success at bursting into the PPV scene. They have 5 fighters in the top 100 P4P, and seem to have a lot of potential talent on their roster which should see that number rise further. Underground completed the merging of Ascension’s roster into their existing divisions and it has seen plenty of excitement rise among their fans. The question with the org is whether their roster needs to be running an additional event here and there, or whether they need to downsize with a roster of over 120 and what seems to be a cycle of 4 weeks for fights. Bushido remains the top Non-PPV org in the game and plans to eventually become a PPV org are surely in the pipeline for the Tokyo based promotion. I was recently hired to the org in an effort to help them build up the roster and improve their numbers, and I have to say that Rei has done a phenomenal job with the org in all aspects. With DFC’s inactivity, a number of their biggest fighters have already jumped over to Bushido, with 6 of their 7 champions making the move among others. Game Improvements Mike Tycoon made the announcement he was creating a player-run group that would be responsible for deciding on what changes the game would be making. To begin with, he was entrusting them to make aesthetical game changes, and so far there have been improvements to the KT side of the game with P4P trophies being added along with a HOF page. The Pre-Fight introduction has been updated to include the fighter’s current P4P and w/c rankings, something people have been calling to be included for a long time in order to see the rise of fighters throughout their careers. The next improvement to be implemented is a Belt Cabinet for fighters to show off their championship accomplishments throughout their careers, another update people have been looking forward to seeing added to the game. The update to follow that is TBD, but with an average of one update per week, and no real disruption or discord among the group so far, it’s looking like a very positive move forward for the game. Guide to Fighter Building This was something I was planning on doing sometime before the end of the year, but thankfully, someone else has done one and it contains pretty much everything I would have written, and even more. Big thanks to King Kendrick (Ovoxo) for making the guide which is a fantastic starting point for people looking to make projects. While he admits it is not the be all and end all of fighter builds, if you have no real idea of how to build top fighters, this is a good starting point before you start having your own ideas of what a top fighter can be. Link to the Fighter Guide can be found HERE Half Year Awards Although a bit late to be really considered “Half-Year Awards”, we’ll still be taking a look at some of the upcoming awards and who we think are the frontrunners so far, along with who we would pick to win if it had to be decided today! Manager of the Year TWW Nominations – Whymer Van Mastodon, Chris Karter, Grant Brophy, Bradley Burns Winner – Whymer Van Mastodon I was going to have more nominations, but there were way too many people I felt were close to each other when it came to the 5th spot. All 4 of those above have been #1 during the year, and their records are incredible, with it standing at Whymer - 97-41-5 (67.8% Win Rate), Chris Karter 150-45-5 (75% Win Rate), Grant Brophy 75-12-1 (85.2% Win Rate) and Bradley Burns 149-65-8 (67.1% Win Rate). While Chris Karter has had the best fighter this year in Kajun Puno, Whymer’s success and ability with fighters are different weight classes and sheer stature gives him the edge in my opinion so far. While I feel Burns lost his pace a lot in recent times, his success in the mid-season of the year gives him a place among the best of the year, while I don’t really know what to say for myself, but spending all year so far in the top 10 and slowly getting champions in multiple orgs gives me a case of being up for consideration also. There are a few names who, given a strong end of year, could end up in the voting also so this award is far from decided at this point. Org of the Year TWW Nominations – Synchronicity, CEC, GAMMA, Underground and Aspire MMA Winner – Aspire MMA Despite Syn being the highest ranked org, I personally have them tied for 2nd in my Org of the Year rankings with GAMMA. While GAMMA haven’t been the #1 ranked org, and while Syn has a better roster, GAMMA does provide more write ups than Syn which is a factor I look forward to in orgs. When I look at an org that is the complete package however, Aspire MMA ticks every box. While I could certainly be called biased, with my admiration for Aspire being abundantly clear and that I see them as a lot like my own former org, they bring everything you could want from an org to the table. Consistent write ups for the entire year since Adam Holland took charge, building up a fantastic roster, an owner that you can talk to about any detail of the org, pushing on to PPV level, cracking the top 4, etc. I could go on for days about what Aspire MMA have done this year, but I will simply say that what they have done from an immersive aspect of the game is far and beyond what any other org has brought. Best New Manager of the Year TWW Nominations – Adam Holland, Brian Behdiez, Tyson Mitchell, Cobb ., Danielle Bee Winner – Tyson Mitchell This was a pretty tough call between Tyson and Danielle, with both hitting the ground at a breakneck speed in terms of how they are picking up the game and learning from their mentors. Tyson has a winning rate of 80.4% while Danielle has a winning rate of 72.4%. Both of these Aussie rookies have top quality mentors in King Kendrick (Tyson) and Chris Karter (Danielle) who are both instilling their own person views on the game, and you can see from their starting builds on that. What makes Tyson standout is he is fighting significantly higher ranked managers than Danielle, with her last 20 being in the 700’s on average while Tyson’s is in the low 200’s. Add on top of that he has established the best clothing store in the game right now, and Tyson is the frontrunner for the Best New Manager of the Year. Alliance of the Year TWW Nominations – The Six Musketeers, Boyz 2 Champz, Convicted Inc Winner – The Six Musketeers Obviously with The Musketeers being my own alliance, this may come off as biased, but the competition is actually quite fierce this year. 3 alliances have won the Division 1 Pyramid, and they are the 3 nominated alliances. All of these alliances hold some of the best managers in the game today, and house many of the top fighters. The sole thing that I could separate them on really was how many Division 1 wins they had this year. Convicted picked it up twice, capturing the crown in January and July. Elite Punishment Inc won the division in June, changing their name to Boyz 2 Champz in the process, a moniker that was a huge hit with the MMA Tycoon faithful. The Six Musketeers have won the Division 1 title 4 times this year, with a run of wins in February, March, April and May during a period of fierce competition with Boyz 2 Champz, an alliance I once said could have snuck the title from The Musketeers at any point and they subsequently did. We have 4 more months of the year to go however, and The Musketeers and Boyz 2 Champz are engaged fiercely in competition for the Division this month once more. The remaining months could either see one alliance pull ahead of the pack, or perhaps a surprise contender emerge from the chasing pack. Fighter of the Year TWW Nominations – Lukasz Wolek, Kajun Puno, Karim Bashorov, Robbie Luatua Winner – Kajun Puno This year was pretty much the year of the Pinoy Savage. Undefeated so far in 2017, with his last loss coming on New Years Eve in a loss to Jordi Joestar. Aside from that sole loss, he has been near unstoppable at 265, which he moved up to in Mid 2015, and his record in the division stands at 21-1. He defeated a list of top contenders in 2017, with wins over Slade Traylor, Jean Paul Garcon, Bo Juggernaut and Monte Zuma, along with stopping the huge winning streak of Robbie Luatua and avenging his sole loss in the division to Jordi Joestar. Fight of the Year Divock Origi vs Menace Defoe I, Michael Murdock vs Buakaw Banchamek, Seifer Almasy vs Alexey Karasev I Winner – Divock Origi vs Menace Defoe I There have been some outstanding fights this year, with the three listed above just among the ones I have noticed for their ferocious back and forth battling. Origi vs Defoe I takes this on account of being the most high profile fight of the bunch, as both fighters looked at times to have taken the other out of it before they battled back into contention Power Rankings *Note, these are purely initial thoughts based on their recent results, combined with their opposition, average opp rank, and title holders in recent times* Managers – #1 – Whymer Van Mastodon ^2 #2 – Pablo Spezziale ^Unranked #3 – Chris Karter v2 #4 – David Brent ^Unranked #5 – Grant Brophy ^Unranked Fighters – #1 – Kajun Puno ^1 #2 – Viktor Tsoi ^Unranked #3 – Gerbert Bryant ^Unranked #4 – Kalervo Kaunismieli ^Unranked #5 – Felix Sturm ^Unranked Orgs – #1 – Synchronicity = #2 – GAMMA = #3 – Aspire MMA ^2 #4 – CEC v1 #5 – Underground = The TWW News Hall of Fame Class of July 2017 Yes it’s been a long time coming, and I was initial going to be doing a much bigger write up on this but time restraints of late mean I will only be able to announce names rather than do a write up for each inductee. 12. In small towns, getting QFC's is A BITCH. The region should be shanged from town to continent. America/Europe/Asia. No travel necessary. This will make QFC's way faster and better. I think this is an easy change to implement as well. Also: KT QFC's -- where you at dawg!

  13. A problem some managers find is when a fighter they've loved and nurtured throughout their career reaches the end phase of their fighting life they only have two options: 1) retire him to the Bahamas at the cost of 90 VIP days. 2) release him to the wider world, where he may have his name changed, his face changed, and his record tarnished by mismanagement. I propose that when you add him to your personal hall of fame (as visible on your manager profile page) his record, face and name are logged as they are then, forever enshrined in that state. THEN, you can release him to the free agency market whereby he can be picked up by whoever and done whatever with - name changed, loss after loss accrued and so on. Ok, it doesn't "make Mike more money" (as is a common argument in discussions like this) but it's a nice bonus to us, the loyal players. It won't stop people choosing to retire a guy to the Bahamas as the name and avatar may not be changed by the next manager, and when you click on them in the future it will still link to the same fighter profile page like it does now; it is just a snapshot of a fighter frozen in time for the ex-manager to enjoy. Thoughts?

I faced some hot prospect from Stu Mack his camp and steamrolled the sucker into Oblivion. Beating up the prodigy of a first class traitor is sweet. Seems that I am too scary for the division as 3 declined fight offers hit my inbox afterwards. I told the org owner "anytime, anywhere, anyone" and in the end finally saw an accepted fight offer in my mails. Snoats can hide and decline fights, but one day he will be forced to step into that cage with me and I will break him.

  27. well learning from fights has been debaded in the past. In my opinion it would be good to get a slight boost or maybe temporary to hidden stats. Maybe add minor gains to other technical skills that wouldn't be more than the gains you get from training. That would encourage more fighting instead of more training.

  31. It'll definitely train up. Not as well as if they had boxing and MT, and none knows precisely how much better/worse, but it will do ok for him. To get the maximum benefit a coach only has to be 4 grades higher than your fighter (I think, or is it 7? ..Sorry that's not all that helpful..) so him being Elite and your guy being Useless(?) is still overkill. It's fine for now is what I'm saying.

  33. August 2017 recap part 1 By Alika Webb GAMMA#652 Sito v Emelienko – August 5 155 title - Robert Sito © Vs Vladimir Emelienko Robert "Sitek" Sito finally had a good thing going as he was still in possession of the belt he craved for and got another winning streak going again but a new challenger was already en route to challenge him for his title. That challenger was none other than Vladimir Emelienko. A multiple lightweight champion from the now-defunct United States Fighting Championship organization who was been on a tear since joining the Gamma ranks. Both are highly talented stand-up fighters but their approach to the striking game makes for an interesting match-up. Styles make fights and what a fascinating clash of styles this fight portrays. While the champion is a striking machine who strikes with lethal intent, the challenger is a technically skilled chess master. The champion is always looking for that one blow can knock the opponent’s lights out while the challenger looks to overwhelm his opponents with a plethora of accurate strikes that will keep them on their toes. The tale of the fight was basically the champion seeking for that one punch to turn the fight upside down while the challenger was punishing him with a seemingly never-ending armada of quick light strikes. The heat-seeking missiles Robert Sito was bombarding the challenger with certainly left their mark as they lacerated the challenger early in the fight and like a bloodhound he chased it with evil intent. The blood on the challenger’s head acted as a bulls eye as the champion’s punches more than found their target, continuously opening up the horrifying wound above his eyes even more. The challenger on the other hand never took a break from scoring points with kicks lashing like whips on the champion’s legs and punches snapping with pinpoint accuracy. The leg kicks the challenger was whipping out took their toll but there was still some spring left in the champion’s legs as they neared the final bell. In the fifth and final round, the champion came back strong and even rocked the challenger’s world as he clipped Vladimir Emelienko with a bludgeoning hook. Vladimir Emelienko however weathered the storm and had his hand raised in the end. Winner: Vladimir Emelienko by unanimous decision. GAMMA#653 Bryant v Rutten 2 – August 12 265+ title - Gerbert Bryant © Vs Sebastiaan Rutten "President" Gerbert Bryant is undeniably the poster boy of Gamma’s heavier divisions for he has conquered the heavyweight and superheavyweight title with such flawlessness and viciousness that he has already gained legendary status. Who would dare to oppose the living legend? A ghost from title defenses past, Sebastiaan "Bas" Rutten has worked his way back up the rankings and is dead-set on revenging his past loss. The first time these goliaths collided, it was a one-sided beat down and Gerbert Bryant was in total control for the short duration of the fight. Their first fight was more reminiscent of a punching bag workout rather than a professional mixed martial arts bout and Sebastiaan Rutten remembers it still. To settle the score, Sebastiaan Rutten has been knocking people out left and right. Amassing a four fight winning streak has earned Sebastiaan Rutten the right to face the champion one more time but will he still be the wrecking ball he has become since losing to the champion or will the champion once again be swinging the hammer? Gerbert Bryant immediately set the pace with a short hook that made the challenger take notice. A jab from the champion hit nothing but air and Sebastiaan Rutten capitalized on the opportunity as he launched a massive head kick that sliced open a cut on the champion’s forehead. Gerbert Bryant’s jab once again vanished in thin air as the challenger was still quick on his feet and the red target above the champion’s brow gave Sebastiaan Rutten more hope of winning than he had ever felt in their first encounter. Gerbert Bryant remained cold as ice in his facial expression but the blood flowing across his face made him boil inside from pure rage. Like a bull seeing red, Gerbert Bryant went ballistic in his assault. An overhand right from the champion struck down from the heavens but Sebastiaan Rutten snapped back immediately with a flashing kick to the ribs. Sebastiaan Rutten still had no idea of the dangers that awaited him as he just pissed off the wrong man. A straight right hand with lethal intent made the challenger aware of the monster he had just awoken and a clobbering two punch combination from the champion made the champion’s intentions crystal clear. The challenger side-stepped away from the rushing champion and managed to land a nice right hand but the champion walked right through it and shot a cannonball into the gut that had the challenger gasping for air. Sebastiaan Rutten missed with a couple of head kicks, thrown out of pure desperation as he wanted to end the assault of the maddened champion. A jab to the body had the challenger stumbling backwards and Gerbert Bryant dropped the challenger with a thundering straight right hand. Gerbert Bryant continued his assault on the floor with a series of merciless hammerfists until the referee dragged the roaring champion off his latest victim. Winner: Gerbert Bryant by TKO (strikes) after 2 minutes and 5 seconds in the first round. GAMMA#654 Wolek v Keenan 2 – August 12 205 title - Menace Defoe © Vs AJ McKenzie The saga of Menace Defoe continues but he had quite a close shave in his last fight as he was fighting an uphill battle for the first four rounds against Hector Verama. A comeback win for the ages it was, as he managed to claw back from certain doom with a knockout that shocked the world. Another win it may be but it certaintly didn’t come easily. AJ "The Machine" McKenzie is part of the new wave of challengers he faces and a familiar face for the champion he is, as it was Menace Defoe who beat McKenzie in his promotional debut. Since that time, AJ McKenzie has been represented by new management and he was sure that a rematch was going to be a different fight this time around. AJ McKenzie started throwing leather like there was no tomorrow but it was Menace Defoe who struck the first blow and what a blow it was, as the challenger got sliced open from the get-go. Neither man wanted to give up the lead and they went at it like cavemen fighting for fire, clobbering blows flying all over the place. The more accurate striker was the champion. With kicks like spears and punches like cannonballs, Menace Defoe kept piercing through AJ McKenzie’s defenses. Menace Defoe’s confidence grew and so did AJ McKenzie’s cut until the third round came. Menace Defoe seemed to be having the time of his life as the fight went on, a finish was definitely on his mind as he kept striking with vigor and scanning for a weakness with those hungry eyes. Twice the champion dropped the challenger with a dazzling uppercut before ending the fight with a devastating combination followed by some hard hammerfists. Winner: Menace Defoe by TKO (strikes) after 46 seconds in the third round. 145 title - Lukasz Wolek © Vs Gareth Keenan An immediate rematch was necessary for these featherweight gladiators for their last encounter ended in a draw. Undefeated promotional newcomer Gareth Keenan went one on one with the great one. They stood toe to toe and never gave each other a second to breathe as they put the pedal to the metal and never shifted gears until the end. Their rematch ended up being more of the same as they didn’t give each other a hair’s breadth. It was a tornado of strikes whirling in the ring with maximum velocity and ferocity. Another striking affair it was with glancing blows and snapping kicks. Lukasz "Wally" Wolek did a great job of breaking the pace by occasionally closing the distance and while their contest was even from start to finish, a draw was not how the judges scored it this time around. Winner: Gareth Keenan by split decision.

In the Main Event, a trilogy will find its conclusion as bitter rivals Junior Vilson and Gil Jacobson collide for a third time, with the score currently standing at 1 win a piece. In their first fight, Jacobson was given the decision after a close 25 minute war which saw an end to the long reign of the "Tarantula". In their second fight the pair went at it again and after a grueling five round fight, Vilson had recaptured his crown. Now, both men look to answer any remaining questions by winning the final fight in their trilogy. http://i.imgur.com/loVaNRP.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20170718222607newblto.png Main Event Featherweight Championship Bout Junior "Tarantula" Vilson (11-1-0, 10-1-0 Bushido) vs. Gil "Bipolar" Jacobson (12-2-1, 2-2-1 Bushido) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14598583159219.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15w16.jpg Co-Main Event Featured Featherweight Bout Cody Chalke (12-3-1, 3-2-0 Bushido) vs. Harry Baals (16-2-0, 0-1-0 Bushido) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/43/43w12.jpg Main Card Featured Light-Heavyweight Bout Samuel Kravac (9-4-0, 2-1-0 Bushido) vs. Leif "The Viking" Erikson (9-4-0, 1-0-0 Bushido) http://i.imgur.com/gTTRngC.png Main Card Featured Featherweight Bout Rami Astalo (10-8-0, 3-3-0 Bushido) vs. Ao Ki (13-6-0, 8-6-0 Bushido) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14742652031134.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14838567766829.jpg Main Card Featured Light-Heavyweight Bout Ryu "11th Planet" Aokison (9-4-0, 1-3-0 Bushido) vs. Ralph "Rage" Gardner (9-3-1, 2-2-0 Bushido) Good luck to all fighters! 36. July 2017 recap part 2 By Alika Webb GAMMA#648 Bryant v Grumption – July 22 265+ title - Gerbert Bryant © Vs Bubba Gumption "President" Gerbert Bryant cemented his place in GAMMA history when he conquered the GAMMA heavyweight title and in doing so became a two division champion but there is no rest for the wicked as another super heavyweight collision was already in the works. Considering the domination of the global phenomenon, throwing some new blood into the mix was more than welcome. A product of GAMMA’s developmental organization GAMMA Kids in New York, Bubba "Shrimpin" Gumption is a dangerous kickboxer with a killer instinct. He is no stranger to title fights either, capturing the heavyweight title in his promotional debut for GAMMA Kids put him on the map and the title picture was never far removed from the experienced striker during his entire run. He got promoted to GAMMA after successfully defending his title against his rival HL Mencken in a barnburner that ended with an explosive finale. Since arriving on the biggest stage of them all, Bubba "Shrimpin" Gumption has been on a tear, taking out two GAMMA veterans on his path to title contention. The blast of youth looked ready to take the world by storm but one of the most dangerous fighters in the MMATycoon universe still stood in his way. Bubba Gumption started throwing leather with ruthless aggression but was quickly swept off his feet by the champion. The challenger did show some remarkable defensive grappling skills and was able to get back up to his feet without taking too much damage. Once again Bubba Gumption didn’t hesitate to strike as he started throwing bombs and Gerbert Bryant was not far behind as he traded in kind and threw back some haymakers of his own to keep the challenger guessing. It worked like a charm and the challenger ended up on his back, not for long though as Bubba Gumption got up with incredible ease. The battling brutes both started swinging for the fences at the end of the first round and the crowd gave them a standing ovation for their efforts. The second round started and Bubba Gumption could smell an upset victory in the air and stormed out of his corner with a finish in mind. Again the champion was quick to shoot for a takedown, bewildering Gumption once again. They played cat and mouse for a while until the challenger – looking pretty confident in his standing supremacy - got caught by surprise as a stunning left hand landed right to the temple and dropped him on his back. Gerbert Bryant immediately followed it up with a vicious slaughtering of ground and pound strikes until the referee mercifully ended the onslaught. Winner: Gerbert Bryant by TKO (strikes) after 4 minutes and 57 seconds in the second round. GAMMA#649 Defoe v Verama – July 22 205 title - Menace Defoe © Vs Hector Verama It was another close fight but Menace Defoe edged out a very narrow victory over his rival Divock Origi to retain his light heavyweight title. Once again a finish eluded the knockout kings of the light heavyweight division and a conclusion to their rivalry is yet to be found. Next on the hit list for Defoe is "The Event Horizon" Hector Verama. A dangerous opponent with a firm grasp of all the aspects the sport that is mixed martial arts entails. Hector Verama entered the fight with a clear goal in mind and got straight to work. The tone was set from the start of the fight as Verama connected with a blazing right hook and Defoe swung back in kind with a cross punch that landed right on the button. They continued brawling but their follow-up strikes hit nothing but air as both elite fighters quickly got their head in the fight. No warm-up period required, Verama got the fight back on track with a body punch that even sent the crowd gasping for air. Defoe responded with a body blow of his own but Verama anticipated and countered it with a straight right hand. Defoe – not taken aback by the dominance established by the challenger – launched a combination in anger that was mostly blocked by Verama but kept the challenger on his toes. Defoe threw a punch that was hitting nothing but air and Verama stopped the champion’s advance with a bulldozer of a body kick that nearly folded Defoe in half. Verama threw a speedy leg kick that fueled the champion’s anger even more and Menace Defoe launched a missile of a head kick in response that would have sent his opponent’s head to the moon had it connected but Verama was quick to move out of harm’s way. Another leg kick landed for Verama and the champion once again failed to retaliate with a ferocious haymaker. A flickering jab to the body by Menace Defoe finally found its target but before he could follow up, a snapping jab by Verama landed flush on the mush. The crowd was roaring with excitement as the relatively unknown challenger kept the champion guessing. They kept exchanging clobbering blows and the cage was thundering with rapturous delight as no fan was left standing at the end of the first round. Frustrations building in the champion’s mind, Menace Defoe looked flustered but never stopped his hot blooded assault. The clearheaded challenger’s accuracy was undeniably getting the better of the haymaker-swinging champion. On a few occasions Menace Defoe was on the verge of gaining the upper hand but Hector Verama was always there to stop momentum from changing sides, occasionally even trying to close the distance or shooting for a takedown to keep the champion on his toes. The fourth round over and done with, Hector Verama was sitting pretty in his corner. Confidence at an all-time high for the challenger, unconcerned with the champion’s last stand as Verama’s corner men were already basking in their future champion’s glory. The champion on the other hand was sitting still on his stool in between rounds, his corner men’s shouting didn’t reach his ears as he was on another plain of existence. An ice-cold glare from the champion the crowd saw as he was staring at the challenger across the cage. But if you focused your vision, one could see that his eyes blazed red with fury. His body might have been battered and bruised but his mind was focused and ready to let the challenger feel the heart of the champion. Menace Defoe knew he was too far behind on points to let the judges decide the victor, a finish he craved for that was the only way he would be able to walk away with his belt still around his waist. The fifth and final round started with a bang as Hector Verama slipped a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Verama’s front leg had taken an incredible amount of punishment and it was clearly showing as a nasty welt enveloped a big chunk of it. Menace Defoe was starting to gain momentum again as he bobbed and weaved out of danger and hit the challenger with a perfectly placed uppercut that had Verama stumbling backwards in surprise. Verama missed with a lazy jab and a slippery body kick, Defoe came back strong as he faked him out. Menace Defoe knows how to feint a punch as he put all his rage into it and changed levels flawlessly as he threw a slapping leg kick right on Verama’s already wounded front leg. Verama wanted to stop momentum from shifting so he dove in for a takedown but his leg was suffering from the effects of those leg kicks, Verama’s speed was lacking and Defoe saw the takedown coming from a mile away. Hector Verama was suffering as the momentum had clearly shifted. Verama threw another poorly executed jab and the champion nearly took Verama’s head off with a counter right hand that hit nothing but air. Quick as a cat, Hector Verama leaped out of harm’s way and landed a hard shot to the body of the champion. Defoe landed a stinger of a jab followed by a slapping inside leg kick. A grazing head kick saw Verama backing up momentarily but he quickly regained his composure as he landed a jab to the body of the champion, followed by a thudding right hook to the skull. Another hook missed the champion by a hair and Menace Defoe smashed a counter right hand on the button. Verama traded an inside leg kick of his own before another slow jab got countered with a thundering leg kick on the already injured front leg of the challenger. A front kick by the challenger had Menace Defoe stumbling backwards, opening up an opportunity for Hector Verama to rush him against the cage. In the clinch they fought but while the champion was slowly gaining the upper hand, the distance was too short for a lethal blow to be thrown. Luckily for Menace Defoe, the short-range punches were having their effect as it was the instigator himself - Hector Verama – who took the fight back to striking range. Menace Defoe drilled a hook to the wrist into the challenger’s gut. Verama scrambled back in an effort to catch his breath. Defoe missed with a body kick and got caught with a lunging uppercut for his troubles. Menace Defoe snapped back with another painful-looking leg kick. Hector Verama tried to trade back in kind but missed with a leg kick of his own. Another leg kick saw Verama’s leg starting to buckle and the champion heard opportunity knocking. Like a shark he smelled blood in the water and struck with dominating force as a thunderous combination of strikes found its target. Hector Verama was seeing stars but a cornered animal is a dangerous animal and the challenger swung his leg around in a crescent shape but the body of the champion was nowhere to be seen. The challenger was not out of the woods yet as he was still standing on spaghetti legs. Menace Defoe started chopping away on the challenger’s damaged leg and when Hector Verama tried to end the assault with a shot to the body, the champion’s right hand blazed with fire like a comet shooting from the sky. The champion put all his weight in the thundering right hook and the challenger’s jaw was sent flying, his lifeless body crashing to the canvas. The crowd was roaring with amazement as the arguably greatest light heavyweight on the planet just elevated his stock to a new height. With a fairytale of a come from behind victory the champion regained his hard-earned title. Winner: Menace Defoe by KO (punch) after 4 minutes and 43 seconds in the fifth round. GAMMA#650 McTearson v Volkov – July 29 170 title - Rufus McTearson Vs Ilya Mstislav Volkov "Rip" Rufus McTearson may have beaten the champion in his last appearance but he still had a lot left to prove if he wanted to call himself Gamma’s welterweight champion. In comes Ilya Mstislav Volkov, a former champion who’s been on a path of destruction since losing the belt once more against eternal rival Lao Shin. Since dropping the title, he has won every single fight he’s competed in, not only by knockout but in the very first round as well. Considering his former accomplishments and his current winning streak, he would be the perfect test for the five year older Rufus McTearson to prove himself. The tale of the tape showed a significant advantage in both height and weight for "Rip" Rufus McTearson but the age difference could definitely cancel those advantages out. Both men are primarily known as strikers but there is more than meets the eye as they are both as well-rounded as can be. Rufus McTearson waltzed in with a house full of fury and with a sound strategy in mind. Taking the fight to the clinch was McTearson’s priority and while he did his best to achieve his goal, Ilya Mstislav Volkov proved a tricky competitor as he eluded many of these blind rushes in an attempt to close the distance. While Rufus McTearson aimed to close the distance, he never stopped striking. The thing was that Ilya Mstislav Volkov also proved he still had an unlimited source of energy for he never took pause in his quest for regaining the belt. The failed clinch attempts eventually proved the difference maker for that was the only thing that truly set them apart in a neck and neck race for the finish. Winner: Ilya Mstislav Volkov by split decision. GAMMA#651 Goodman v Hanolla – July 29 185 title - Saul Goodman © Vs Jutta Hanolla Newly crowned middleweight champion - Saul "Slip The Jab" Goodman - had a tough first challenger to meet when former champion Jutta "Hammer" Hanolla stepped up to the plate. Saul Goodman took Jimmy Dias Jimenez by surprise to win the title, he completely overwhelmed the former champion and he looked to do the same against another former champion. Jutta "Hammer" Hanolla lost his title to Jimmy Dias Jimenez and he was looking forward to meeting him once again in the cage for a title opportunity, destiny decided otherwise. He completely steamrolled over Yoshihiro Asai to earn the number one contender spot and while the wearer of the title might not have been his first choice, regaining the title was still his priority. Both men are kickboxers by trade but that’s where the similarities end. Saul "Slip The Jab" Goodman is known for his pinpoint accuracy and his unforgiving clinch game while Jutta "Hammer" Hanolla’s methods of destruction tend to be less subtle. While in subtlety he may lack, the raw explosive talent of Jutta "Hammer" Hanolla cannot be denied. Many have tried to capture the essence of the challenger but Jutta Hanolla’s fists made of bricks and his pure animalistic instinct that tears his opponents apart combined with years of experience and masterful levels of techniques makes him a tough nut to crack for any foe he might encounter. These two warriors met for the very first time but a feeling-out process was not required as both men started exchanging strikes from the first bell’s ring. A tit for tat battle this was, technical striking reigning supreme. A torrent of blows wreaked havoc as they both came out guns blazing. The first round was an absolute blast to sit through as neither man was pulling punches but the first round did see a winner in the challenger, who had a small advantage in the striking department. The champion came back strong in the second round, taking over the lead by a very small margin. The third round came and went with Jutta Hanolla once more seemingly back in control of the fight but the final two rounds were up for debate. Many felt the champion had done enough to be rewarded with victory but others saw merit in the challenger’s claims to declare him the new middleweight champion. Dissension there was, even in the eyes of the judges for they did not reach a unanimous decision. While in advance the more accurate striker was perceived to be champion Saul Goodman, the facts however speak volumes about the way this fight was fought. They both went all out in trying to out strike the other, each throwing over a baffling 200 strikes during the course of the fight. While the difference is barely worth mentioning as they were almost mirror images of each other, it came as a surprise to see that the slight edge in both volume and accuracy of strikes went to Jutta Hanolla. The champion however filled the gap by occasionally picking his time to strike and the majority of the judges granted him the victory. Winner: Saul Goodman by split decision. 145 - Lukasz Wolek © Vs Gareth Keenan Lukasz "Wally" Wolek is the number two pound for pound fighter in the whole wide world, that also makes him one of the biggest targets in the world. He has been such a brutalizing force in the featherweight division that he even dropped a weight class to conquer the bantamweight division as well and he did so successfully in his last fight. Now he’s back to defend his featherweight belt but the challenger he now faced was not a familiar one. Making his promotional debut is the undefeated Gareth Keenan, a kickboxer primarily known for his trilogy with Chris Karter and his successful run in the now defunct Evolution organization that brought him to the attention of Gamma’s powers that be and got him the opportunity of a lifetime as he made his promotional debut against one of the best fighters in the world with one of the most prestigious titles in the world on the line. But what can this promotional newcomer bring to the table against one of the most dominant fighters in the world-renowned Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts? Lukasz "Wally" Wolek came storming out of the gates and laid down the law on the challenger, once more establishing himself as one of the best in the world. A world-class boxing exhibition started out the fight and the champion was clearly in control. But if there is one thing the challenger is known for, it is his patience. It took Gareth Keenan two five round fights to find a weakness to exploit in his trilogy with Chris Karter so while his sleuth skills might need some polishing, you know he has the patience to ride out the storm and capitalize on any weakness that might reveal itself during the initial onslaught. That was indeed the case in this fight as the challenger’s confidence truly rose round by round. By the third round he had more than caught up with the champion and really started controlling the fight and letting the champion give chase. Another close five round fight, both competitors went toe to toe and never gave each other a second to breathe as they went full throttle from start to finish. Winner: Nobody as the fight was ruled a draw.

  37. Andy McKenzie (101467) HOF Induction Andy is probably the most versatile manager to ever participate in GAMMA. He started out as simply a manager, he is one of the few managers with over 100 competitive fights for us, 105 in total ranking him 9th all time. He even had a good run on a couple of cases, reaching 13th rank in game. I probably would had inducted in our HOF as a manager, but he is in mostly due to his role for GAMMA outside of the cage. He was a long time employee in our rookie organizations, he took our NY affliation to totally different levels and also helped run our GAMMA: Contenders affiliate. He then moved on to take over our K-1/MT version of GAMMA and helped establish a rookie affliate for that org as well. He even had a long stint as the main designer (designing mainly posters) so Andy is MMA Tycoon's version of a handyman willing and capable to do anything. To top all this off, he was probably one of the most likable people in the game and one of those people i often communicated with. He is deserving of this HOF induction without any doubt.

  38. June 2017 recap part 2 By Alika Webb The first part of June was action-packed from start to finish, let’s keep the good times rolling as we take a look at the second part. GAMMA#641 Hanolla v Jimenez – June 17 185 title - Jutta Hanolla © Vs Jimmy Dias Jimenez Jutta "Hammer" Hanolla came into GAMMA with a bang as he dethroned middleweight champion Steve Belliveau in his promotional debut. The former USFC and Trinity middleweight champion knew from first-hand experience that you aren’t really recognized as a true champion until you’ve defended your belt at least once. Set to spoil his Hanolla’s first reign as champion in GAMMA is Jimmy "BrokeBack" Dias Jimenez. Never been crowned a champion at 36 years of age really weighed heavy on the mind of Diaz Jimenez and he figured the time was right to try his hand at another title shot before time ran out on him. Both men are veteran strikers and they aren’t known for pulling their punches as they have a combined 41 knockouts on their resume. Title opportunities don’t grow on trees and at the age of 36, Jimmy Dias Jimenez knew that this could be his last shot at greatness. He knew that he had to pull out all the stops and went for broke as he came storming out of the gate. Jimmy Dias Jimenez started out strong, blasting the champion with an armada of clobbering blows that had the champion tucking tail right from the start. The challenger closed the distance and the champion pulled guard faster than his own shadow. The tides turned and now Jutta Hanolla was putting the hurt on his challenger as he had the challenger in some nasty looking submissions. The challenger however survived the round and appeared to be unscathed as the brutal assault of the challenger started all over again. Jimmy Dias Jimenez closed the distance once more and started unloading on the champion with everything he had in his arsenal. Hanolla kept trying to jump into guard but the challenger is not your average joe and he was able to keep the fight standing until the champion dropped to his knees in defeat. Winner: Jimmy Dias Jimenez by TKO (strikes) after 3 minutes and 32 seconds in the third round. GAMMA#642 Shin v McTearson – June 17 170 title - Lao Shin © Vs Rufus McTearson Considering that Rufus McTearson dominated the welterweight scene for a long time in his heyday and Lao Shin has been mixed in the title scene for what seems like an eternity, it is surprising to see that the current and former champion’s paths have not yet crossed. When Rufus McTearson lost his title and saw his career plummeting into a dark abyss, Lao Shin had just worked his way up to the top. When Lao Shin kept going back and forth with living legends like Ilya Mstislav Volkov and Stanly Williams with welterweight supremacy hanging in the balance, Rufus McTearson had his own demons to battle as his struggles inside the cage kept pushing him further down the card. Somewhere along the way something snapped inside the former champion’s head and Rufus McTearson at 39 years of age, the old veteran amassed a four fight winning streak to prove he still had something left in the tank. Fighting time, Rufus McTearson has clawed his way back to the top and he made it known that he would stop at nothing to gain back what he once lost so long ago. With two elite fighters with such vast experience at the top, people were expecting fireworks. The champion Lao Shin did not take the former champion lightly as he went swinging for the fences right from the start, undoubtedly trying to take out the veteran as fast as possible. While he did do his fair share of damage by swinging like a madman, his aggressive strategy did see him striking air more than once. Rufus McTearson on the other hand - the veteran that he is – took on a more cautious approach, focusing more on accuracy rather than damage as he was undeniably looking to outwork the champion and possible softening the champion up before going in for the kill in the championship rounds. The chin of Rufus McTearson, who has never lost by strikes was put to the test as the grazing blows of Lao Shin had him seeing stars and a glancing head kick even put him on his backside. But no matter how hard he was struck down, Rufus McTearson got back up to his feet and went right back to changing blows. Both fighters put in a tremendous effort and had the crowd on their feet multiple times throughout the fight. Winner: Nobody as the fight was ruled a draw. GAMMA#643 Wolek v Sackett – June 24 135 title - Underestimated Dillashaw Junior © Vs Nico World Citizen One thing we know for sure is that Nico World Citizen did not overlook Underestimated Dillashaw Junior. The champion brought the fight to the challenger and the challenger responded in kind. Nico World Citizen did a good job keeping up with the champion but at times it looked as if he were fighting an uphill battle. The champion set a relentless pace and Nico World Citizen regularly interrupted the champion’s rhythm with a clinch attempt. The champion eventually learned the hard way that sometimes it’s worth slowing things down to get a better perspective of the situation you find yourself in. Nico World Citizen managed to get a good grasp of the champion’s timing over the previous four rounds and when he saw an opportunity to strike, he uncorked a huge combination that sent Underestimated Dillashaw Junior crashing to the canvas. Winner: Nico World Citizen by TKO (strikes) after 3 minutes and 25 seconds in the fifth round. 145 superfight - Mordecai Sackett (EVOLUTION) Vs Lukasz Wolek (GAMMA) The current number two pound for pound fighter in the world wanted to prove himself a force to be reckoned with and thus he keeps on boldly challenging the best opposition the whole wide world has to offer. Mordecai "Golden Boy" Sackett is the Evolution lightweight champion but he gladly dropped eleven pounds to take on the Gamma bantamweight champion Lukasz "Wally" Wolek. A warrior that goes to amazing lengths to meet a challenge not many dare to undertake, one can only respect the heart of the Evolution champion. When they stood toe to toe they went all out and brawled all over the arena. Despite Lukasz Wolek taking the lead in their little dance, Mordecai Sackett did not dance out of step. He traded every strike back in kind. Every clobbering blow Lukasz Wolek launched, was thrown back with lethal force by Mordecai Sackett. Every wood chopping kick Lukasz Wolek attempted was reflected back to him by Mordecai Sackett. The timing and accuracy of Lukasz Wolek gave him a small advantage but eventually the difference maker turned out to be the clinch game. When Lukasz Wolek managed to close the distance, he reduced his opponent to minced meat. Winner: Lukasz Wolek by unanimous decision.

We both went full damage again, was a very close fight, but seeing him get the edge by the judges sucks. I feel as if I decided where the fight took place and inflicted more damage for sure. Defoe, lets settle this once and for all, trilogy fight! Number 3 will not see the judges, 100% guaranteed!

  43. I am a VIP, because I am a firm believer in supporting things that give me enjoyment. I like this game a lot and I can tell that a lot of hard work goes into it and expecting that to be done for free is selfish imo. The same people who play these games for free are usually the ones you find complaining that things are not the way they like as well...lol Anyways, i think the game is a lot of fun and has the potential to be HUGE some day and the only way that can happen is if we support the guys who are putting their time into making this thing great. I am very new to the game so unfortunately I do not have enough knowledge to recommend what else I would like as a VIP, but I will continue to support the game.
