  1. I wouldn't be too sure if two business slots would increase public gyms. I can easily see the opposite happening. Because then nobody would have to choose anymore between running a business OR a private gym to guarantee uninterfered 1-on-1 coaching. Having a private gym is too big of an advantage (if you can afford it) and a complete no-brainer with two business slots. It would only assure that the most active players don't give a rats ass about public gyms ... because they wouldn't have to. So this could easily work the other way. And since the player base is not that big right now (you can easily find public gym places a plenty), enforcing it would force many players to go inevitably into the red. The player base definetely has shrunk considerably since my first time around here. At least so it appears to me. And you can get decent public training, if you shop around properly and don't have all of your fighters in one place. I get plenty of one on one training and I exlusively use public gyms. Just keep mental notes (or actual ones - if you wanna go full nerd mode) about which gyms are good.

  2. Next big event in the JAG Calendar is the 185lbs showdown between Sireika and Johnson. This is an interesting contest in that Sireika has owned this title since he beat Takashi to take the belt on 11th August 2018. He is no coward and has defended the title on 3 seperate occasions to prove he is no flash in the pan. Lets see how Johnson fares on Saturday night in what’s expected to be a heaving Las Vegas venue. Nate Baker will be hoping that these fighters behave themselves, both in the ring and after the fight…. Or will he…… Just think of the grudge rematch if things did kick off outside the ring Arnoldas Sireika CJ "Bad Man" Johnson Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15319132153161.png Bad man hails from Sydney Australia and has earned his title when living on the streets of Kings Cross Sydney where he had to do a lot of bad sh*t just to stay alive and this has moulded him into the fighting machine that he is today, he has 5 wins from 5 to his name and has won 3 by way of unanimous decisions and 2 by way of TKO Strikes. He is a very confident fighter and tends to strut around the ring geeing up the crowd. He is a good man for clinches and MT and prefers to stay standing if he can where he can show some excellent ability in MT. He has gone the distance in his first 3 fights but has finished his opponents much quicker in recent times with his 2 TKO’s happening in round one of his last 2 fights. Current holder Sireika is undefeated in 6 fights and is flying high at the moment. He has won 4 of his fights by way of TKO and 2 by unanimous Decisions. He has a fantastic fists and has the ability to floor anyone that gets in his way, he prefers using fists and standup as much as he can but he did really well in his last fight to win by a one point decision when Takashi spent the whole fight bringing the fight to the floor with 59 takedown attempts (only 6 succeeded however) and of the 6 takedowns Takashi obviously thought Sireika was a nail and he was the hammer when he tried nearly 70 ground strikes but Sireika defended well and did some serious damage when standing and clinching when he missed only twice with his punches for the whole fight. This title fight should be interesting as both fighters like standup and clinching so this might be a war of attrition in Las Vegas on Saturday. Second to the title fight is the pairing of Vencedor and Davis Unai Vencedor David "Animal" Davis Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b8.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/36/36b1.jpg This on paper seems reasonably evenly matched with the Spanish matador taking on the Animal from Australia. Davis shades the boxing and wrestling skills (only slightly) and Vencedor is miles ahead when it comes to MT. Vencedor’s only defeat was in his last fight when he was challenging for the featherweight title against the impressive Stallone. Vencedor has an insane ability to soak up damage and is very fond of stand up and clinchwork and all of his wins have been by way of KO and TKO’s, his one defeat was by way of submission so expect Vencedor to want to keep this fight standing. Davis is a smart lad and can use his ability to think n his feet to change his game plan if things aren’t going his way and is a decent boxer and wrestler. He has defeated Manny Johnston who was also one of Vencedors previous successful fights. Davis lives up to his nickname and fights like an animal and is very keen on both standup and clinching so this fight could be a contender for fight of the night! Both these lads like throwing punches but with Vencedors granite chin he may be the slight favourite here (in my humble opinion). Next up is Mottus V WInger Taavi Mottus Second "Center" Winger Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6b13.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b8.jpg Tale of the tape on this one shows fairly even on all fronts other than Mottus who has the advantage in boxing, but his ability even in this is pretty woeful! Mottus who hails from Estonia has a pretty good record to date and has 4 wins and 1 loss which came by way of strikes to Gunna Win who is a regular battler for JAG and has 7 wins to his name so no shame in losing to him. All Mottus wins to date have come from TKO’s by way of Strike (X2) or KO by way of Punch (X2). Mottus has real KO power and has ended all his fights in round one with his quickest win was in less than one minute against Bobby Dee who was drinking from a straw for a couple of weeks after their bout! “Center” by comparison has only one win to his name but it was his debut fight and he won easily by way of KO punch although there was some shades of controversy about the ref calling the fight and some people thought they fight should have continued! Center threw 18 punches and 17 landed so he is an accurate fighter and has good capacity to take a punch with his granite jaw which will be tested on Saturday I’m sure. Can see the noob to JAG taking an Eastern European scalp on Saturday! Next on the card Top V Michaels Thip Top Pat "Music" Michaels Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-4-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w7.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w16.jpg This fight looks interesting in that Top is an exceptional MT fighter is better than Micheals at wrestling but Micheals is the better boxer and has a blue belt in BJJ to Top’s white. Top is the less experience of the fighters but has 3 wins and no losses to date with 2 wins by TKO (Cut) and one submission so he is not a one trick pony. Top has elbows like razors and this has been the cause of his two TKO wins when he opened up his opponents with elbows. Micheals will need to be careful in the clinch as Top is very capable when using his elbows and can do serious harm. Even Tops Submission win was by way of strikes and one again it was the elbows that caused his opponent to tap out. Michaels has a chequered history to date with 3 wins and four defeats however his last fight was a win so his tail is up a little at present. His 3 wins were by way of Submission (X2) and one decision. He has some talent when it comes to clinching and punches but his best bet for this fight is to stay on top of his opponent on the canvas as if (please excuse the unfortunate pun I’m about to state) Thip gets on top of Micheals on the floor the music could be stopping for Michaels.. Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on the night and may the best men win.

Now he's asking me to cut some weight so I can meet the requirements. Fucking asshole. At least he pays me well. 4. Yep gotta be honest, I have a private gym and the first thing I would do with an extra slot is have another one to enable enough coaches to train a 25 fighter stable

  6. Hey guys due to some personal things I have to leave the game but i would really like someone to take care of Gladius. The org is really great and it makes money but demand a lot of time which I don't have allowable and I don't see myself playing the game without running this awesome org. Send me a message in game AND reply to this post if you're interested I'll log in again this week end It has been a real pleasure its the 3rd time I play this game in 5 Years and I seul love it like the first time. LFC and Vikai were really great but Gladius is definitely above them. Thank you for everything Cheers Metra M'Bole aka Mr Wonder

  7. I trained with my 7,35 learner some escapes and he was after two sessions at 1++ then he popped to 2 and gained 2,55 at latest session. He had quite full energy at that session. There is no way that escapes are 50% slower training than takedef. And coach is douple elite and full morale. So my question is did Mike do something wrong when he took super fast training speed from escapes off or is just me doing something wrong..

  8. On a broader theme, IMHO everything that adds unique flavor to the fighters is a benefit to the game; it's bad enough that every top fighter is "Elite" at everything. What makes them different from each other are the hiddens. Having the perfect combination of hiddens is one of many "keys" to the game. So, also IMHO, the more hiddens the better - as long as they're "good" hiddens. One good hidden to add may be the "Profesionalism" or "Work ethic" hidden. it would be a skill that most of the time doesn't affect anything. But if your Profesionalism hidden value is extremely low, or extremely high, then there are some effects: High value (say 140-150 points): Your fighter attends the gym from monday to monday, goes to sleep at 9 PM, wakes up at 5 AM for a morning run, eats clean, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't go out, prays to Jesus, etc. Once in a blue moon you might get a message saying " 'Fighter A' was on fire in the gym today. He was so focused on training, his body has been in such great shape for so long, his technique is so crisp, he got a surprise bonus in points gained in his training session"; How much it would be the bonus? Who knows...not much I reckon. Maybe if it's posible, make it be more likely to kick in when a skill is at the '++' level so it may induce a pop and be more noticeable; Low value (the equivalent of a useless chin): The opposite - you get the idea. As a result, you might get a message saying " 'Fighter B' was unmotivated in the last training session and barely gained anything from it". Maybe add some messages just for flavor " 'Fighter B' got in an altercation at a local event last night and beat up a drunken fool cageside. As a result he was all over MMA media and became a trending topic on Twitter". And your fighter could even get a small boost in hype. BUT the bad thing of havng such a low hidden is that once in a blue moon (and I mean VERY rarely), you get a message saying " 'Fighter B' didn't follow his diet on fight week and had a bad weight cut. As a result he entered the fight with a small energy hit". And if we wanna go crazy with it: " 'Fighter B' went crazy on fight week and completely half assed his preparation resulting in a No Contest". Of course your opponent would get his full show and win bonus money. it would be very annoying for the manager but tough luck!

  9. Most dominant career, or most dominant streak? There have been a ton of streakers. YB Sol was the first fighter to go mainstream streaking. Jigoro Kane, Jen Sen or something like that, and Fidel Puno went streaking after. Ekaku went undefeated for a long time, huge streak like 22-0. Tonal dominated. Then there was Golden Glory, the original Scotty Bennett. Waru Kazaru aka Japanese Jesus pulled an Ekaku. Neo kable went 26-0 or something insane in the body gassing super heavyweight division. Womba and Kelly went streaking with their saggy flapjacks and loose clamp stamper all over my roster for so long it could of been turned into a meme. Scotty Bennett limp dicked his way to the top from ID orgs and ended the Womba reign. Bowser and Rinky had their runs that greatly benefitted from being in their alliance buddies org, still impressive streaks. Kajun Puno is a legend of his era. Aylib prolly had a midget or three that was swinging their little shrimps on the front page for quite some time too. Many, many, others.

  10. good idea anything to make the game more realistic and personal, even the no contest could be viable if it was on the really low spectrum of the 150 scale as if you fighter has very low chin hes basically done for anyway (and in need of throwing in the bin)

  15. Is it possible that the addition of having 2 businesses and those having multi accounts kind of go hand in hand...and maybe introducing this option, in fact could lessen the amount of multi's? I mean people who are going to have 2 accounts for 2 business are going to do it regardless. Those who aren't going to have multi accounts would benefit and utalzie this for the positive. Not to mention the increase in helping non-vip and new managers have successful fighters with the increase of public gyms...might even turn them on to buying VIP since their free experience is more full filling. Plus if you made it so that if you own a second business it has to be a public gym, this is just going to increase the numbers and allow for better training to those who can't afford private. Will also make you have to be more on your game with running a public gym as there will be more..so you'll have to have dedicated gyms, competitively priced gyms and maybe entry level gyms (coaches are maybe superb rather than elite) then fighters can move up to better gyms as their fighters decrease in training gains..

  17. Initiation II Next battle on the books takes place in London on Saturday night with 2 titles on the line again the 170 and 145 lbs divisions. Top of the bill is the 170 lb title bout between Alexandre and Wendal. Tiago Alexandre Mathias Wendel Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b2.jpg Alexandre is the holder of the title at present but it’s been a see saw battle between himself and Wendel with Wendel holding the title twice before losing to Alexandre in the middle of September last. Wendel’s last defeat was to Alexandre when losing the title when beaten by way of submission by Alexandre. Wendel is really keen to get what he feels is “his” title back and this adds some a real edge to this fight! Wendel tapped out the last time but will be keen to take Alexandre down on Saturday. Wendel’s previous wins were by way of KO Punches so when Alexandre took him to the canvas in their last fight he made light work of Wendel when winning in less than 2 minutes. Wendel if he can keep the fight standing has a huge advantage in boxing and MT and knows how to KO opponents but if Alexandre gets him to the ground again early he is in trouble as Alexandre has much superior BJJ and has won all his previous fights by Submission or Decision. If Wendel can keep Alexandre on his feet he will win this in the first round but if not who knows what will happen ! Next title bout is the 145 lb division fight between Stallone and Point, Stallone is defending his title for the first time on Saturday Frank "Rocket" Stallone Brayden Point Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22w10.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15322662702091.jpeg In his first defence of his title Stallone has a real challenge on his hands when trying to defeat Point who is 5-0 to date and with 4 wins by TKO Strikes with one submission, so he can adapt when needed to changing situations in fights. Point tends to be a counter fighter and waits to see what happens before pouncing, he beat a solid fighter in Sedlacek in his last bout and Sedlacek certainly knows how to take a punch. Point tends to like punching his opponents, either in the clinch or at distance as is equally lethal at both methods! Stallone is the opposite and has 3 wins by submission with a TKO Punch as well for a bit of variety. Stallone looks a little bit tired and this might affect him should the fight not end quickly! Stallone spent most of his last fight on the ground and I would expect him to attempt the same on Saturday but Point is no slouch and has the advantage in wrestling, however both fighters are similar in BJJ but Point has much better boxing when compared to Stallone. I can see an upset here ! Next up is Win and Von Erikson Gunna Win "The Darkness" Eric Von Erikson Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/30/30b4.jpg On paper both these fighters skillsets are very similar with Win being slightly better at boxing however Win is the much more experienced fighter with 7 fights and 6 wins to his name, his only loss was to Budo in a title fight which is no disgrace as Budo has beaten everyone before him to date! Other than that one defeat he has won all his fights by either TKO or KO so is a good man with his fists. The Darkness has a big engine and some pretty nifty skills with either fist’s or feet as his last win was by way of KO by head kick, in that bout he also didn’t miss any of his punches so he is very accurate and lethal. He has only 2 bouts to his name but has impressed in them both so this is a hard one to call as the more experienced Win should be able to use the couple of extra fights under his belt to win this but The Darkness has 2 impressive wins to his name so he might win his third in a row… Moese "No Chance" Daldo Andre Valentino Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17w22.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w11.jpg Two undefeated fighters taking to the cage on Saturday but with no title at stake it’s only pride (and cash!) that they are fighting for! Daldo has had 3 good wins by way of submissions to date and has the much better BJJ and wrestling skills on show with Valentino miles ahead of Daldo in boxing and MT so this fight is only happening with Daldo trying takedowns constantly to put his excellent GNP to good use with Valentino doing everything in his power to keep the fight standing where he will easily dispatch Daldo. If Valentino can stay on his feet this fight will not last for long ! However if it goes to ground its goodnight for Valentino ! Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on the night and odds are available from my bookies

  19. Sydney Fights Weekend Preview Hi folks, we are ready for another big one in Sydney, a weekend packed with 3 fight cards, we'll be on PPV on Saturday and Sunday. The big one being the 265 title fight in Sydney Superdome on Sunday. This will be a biggie featuring Kona vs. Piano, perhaps the biggest KO threats in all SyFi. Add in 2 more title fights and some big name matchups, and the Weekend is complete. Start off with the big one: Sunday: 265 title Santu Avisu Kona v Rick Piano This is a rematch from the May title fight, that they both entered in different fashion, Kona was the undefeated challenger that time, while Piano was the record streak champ, and Piano made short work of Kona, winning by KO after 4:05. Both fighters took different directions afterwards, Kona took a 6 week break from fighting, while Piano returned to beat Shorton and Barkley for a 2nd time. Than the fight came, that changed everything. Milton Friedman entered SFC from NJMMA, and won the title in a shocking 2nd Round TKO over Piano. But Friedman wouldn't hold on to the title, he faced Kona at SyFi 100, and lost in the 2nd Round. So Kona became the champ, denying Piano his rematch with Friedman for now. As Piano wants the belt back, and after a nice break of 7 weeks now should be well prepared. Both fighters are stand up kings, and it's clear Kona has done a lot of wrestling training, to keep up with Piano. LeT's get it started...... 135 title Yodsawan Sitsongrit v Dieselnoi Por Pramuk The 3rd title defense of Yodsawan looks one, thats between him and the big fight. Daishi Kishimoto, the man Yodsawan beat to gain the title has resigned at 135, and entered a 5 week training camp, to prepare for a rematch, but before that can happen, Por Pramuk will face Yodsawan in a Thai Battle, that will see a clear cut favourite in the Champ. Yodsawan (9-2) has won 9 in a row, and 7 of them at SyFi, one of the victims was Por Pramuk, who lost to him in a 3 round decision in June. The extended distance should be no strange to Yodsawan, who took both his last fight over the 5 round distance. Dieselnoi won 4 in a row since that defeat, and manouved himself into Title Contender position. All his last 6 fights have been decisions over the full distance, the last man to submit him was Daichi Kishimoto, when Dieselnoi went for the belt the first time, and here the circle closes. Expect Yodsawan by Decision, anything else would be a big surprise. Saturday: 265+ title Arn Anderson v Massive Overflow It will be title fight No. 11 for Arn Anderson, the 3 time champ lost two of the previous 10, when Mongolian Muslim and Jim Bob McDonald borrowed his title. However Massive Overflow may be the biggest test in his career. Anderson is a submission specialist, that won all his fights by submission, and both his losses where TKOs. And that's where it should suit Massive Overflow, the fighter born in Greece, and training in London has all the Boxing quality to KO Anderson, and all the Wrestling to keep it standing. He won 4 in a row, 3 at Torcida and 1 at Syfi, beating Arn's brother Ole by TKO in Round 2 in his SyFi debut. Look for a big Ko by Overflow or a Submission by Anderson, who needs to take him down quick. I don'T expect this fight to last more than 2 rounds. Other fights: Saturday's Main Event sees perhaps a contenders fight at 265+, as Arn Andersons stablemate Vick Venom faces Galactor Gigantus, Venom is the clear cut No. 1 in the division, but as SyFi ordered, that the 2 similar managed fighters will not face each other, Venom needs Arn to loose to get a title shot, or clean house on his own. He now faces former EFA Champ Gigantus in his 2nd SFC fight. Gigantus a man, that lost twice to Arn Anderson, but that should be much better suited in a stand up battle with Venom. Sundays Co-.Main Event also sees a battle at 265+ , as the man, that Venom beat last Jason Harris tried to return to winning form, against former Champ Jim Bob McDonald, where we expect a stand up battle by two remarkable boxers, that will likely look to bounce back from losses. In a fact McDonald is unbeaten in fights not involving Arn Anderson, and 1-2 against the champ. Friday offers the return of two previous champs to the cage, at 265 Milton Friedman, the man that shocked Piano will face Bill Shorton, a fighter, that already lost to Piano twice. While Friedman is just in his 2nd SFC fight, Shorton is 7-3 in SyFi fights, with losses against only the best, with 2 losses to Piano and a loss to Dillon, while beating Yormoza Built recently. In the CO-Main Event former 185 Champ Joey Hatton makes his 2nd appearance under new management, and wants to stay unbeaten in his new camp. He faces Ispa Mfer, a 7-2 fighter, that spent a long time at Torcida, before recently winning his SyFi debut, expect him to give Hatton a stiff test. Talent watch on Friday says look for Thomas Bolleke, the Belgian (3-0) is a black belt allrounder, that is on many watch lists to go all for the title, if he stays at SyFi to work his way up the cards, his victi...ahem..opponent this time is 10-9 journeyman Man Itizer. Saturday will see more ranked fighters in action outside the Mains, 8-2 Heimo Vesa will face 6-2 Boogie Rollins, both fighters had some up and downs, and are not ranked this week, but have been previously, the winner here may make a return to the 205 lineup. At 170 9-4 Akira Harada faces 7-2 Hosep Grigorian, while both had their struggles in SyFi, but both come in on wins. Grigorian is on a 3 fight winning streak, beating some talented foes, while Harada recently beat Facundo Galley, after loosing to Kevin Daugthrey in a No. 1 Contender fight before. Daugthrey now is the 170 champ. At 155 Nazim Bardkci enters the battle against Julius Wolf with a 3 fight win streak and a ranking position on the line, look for Bardakcis submission skills to work as his Kimura is his best weapon. Sundays deeper card sees more 265+ action when Ross Barkley battles Wladimir Yaroslev, Barkley won his 265+ debut against Mongolian Muslim, after loosing to Piano and Kona at 265, where he saw no future. Yaroslev should be a good challenge, on a path, thats clearly destined for the title. At 135 two ranked battles see Chamuaknoi Sitsongrit, who'll likely leave SFC after his battle with Sanka Coffie, as his Camp member Yodsawan holds the 135 title, and Chamuaknoi feels stuck at SyFi for the moment, and former Challenger Marcelo Barbosa tries to extend his 3 fight win streak, when he faces Forious Munchkin, who under new management has won his first SyFi fight, after loosing to Dieselnoi under his old management. In both fights we can see some guaranteed action. So folks, enjoy the fight weekend, brought to you by Bullet Proof System, MMA fight gear from New York.

  22. Iron Man Vale Tudo – 135lbs Grand Prix S02E03 The Underground, Los Angeles – October 7th 2018 Group Stage Round 3 Group A Pete Peterson (1-1-0 in Season) vs. Polly Paulson (1-0-0 in Season) Our opening bout of the evening is the battle of four “P’s” with second place Polly Paulson taking on third place Pete Peterson and a decisive win here in round three would put either of these fighters in at least the second qualifying spot for the championship play-offs. Polly Paulson is fresh off of his bye week after getting off to a winning start during his opening round bout against Nance Gibbord. Though that fight didn’t offer us much in the way of insight for what Paulson can do, we did see that he prefers to swing with a little more power rather than precision and that when he does land he is capable of doing some real damage. Now making his second appearance this season, Paulson should be completely fresh and ready for battle. His opponent is 1-1 Pete Peterson who has managed to turn around his opening round loss to Able Archer and pick up two points last time out with a decision win over Nance Gibbord. It was a fairly one sided affair in the face of a really bizarre game plan from Gibbord and Peterson was able to move back into the third place spot and a chance at moving on in the tournament and fight for at least fifth place. With only two fights left for Peterson, all points from here are going to be vitally important. In terms of match up, Peterson actually looks as though he might be the slight favourite with some small but significant improvements in his stand up and his main weapon and big advantage, his wrestling. Saying that, both fighters share a win over Nance Gibbord and it must be said that while Peterson went the full twenty minutes with him, Paulson had no such trouble and managed to put the Australian away inside two minutes. Something to think about no doubt but no matter what happens here, this fight looks as though it could be a guaranteed stand up war Prediction: Paulson by Decision. Paulson has those heavy hands but I think Peterson is getting into his groove and will at least avoid being finished here. Nilton Guimaraes (0-1-0 in Season) vs. Nance “The Warlock” Gibbord (0-2-0 in Season) Next up, we have the bottom two fighters in Group A and both are looking to pick up their first win of the season. Nilton Guimaraes was unable to capitalise on his first round bye week when he made his season debut two weeks after and was soundly beaten by Able Archer inside of two minutes. This was in no small part down to his lack of striking ability and here he will be facing a far superior striker in Nance Gibbord but up to this point, Gibbord has seemingly forgone any striking in attempts to grapple instead. This would no doubt be music to the Brazillians ears but otherwise, unless Guimaraes has been working on his takedowns since, he could be in for a repeat of his last fight. Nance Gibbord has now gone 0-2 in this tournament and realistically would need something close to a miracle to push on into a qualifying position in the group. Though it could be done, his performances in those two fights have left little room for confidence in said miracle. He did managed to improve upon his opening round TKO loss however with a decision loss, but still it was fairly one sided and really, Gibbord would do well to even pick up a win. On paper, this should be all Gibbord. His striking is light years ahead of Guimaraes’ and his wrestling is better too. Somehow though, I feel Guimaraes is the favourite in this. Prediction: Guimaraes by Submission. If Gibbord insists on grappling still he will be playing directly into the BJJ Brown Belts hands. His only chance is by utilising his superior striking skills Group B Gichin “Shoto” Funakoshi (1-1-0 in Season) vs. Crisostomo “Simoun” Ibarra (0-0-1 in Season) Another important match up here, this time in Group B. Fourth place Gichin Funakoshi takes on third place Crisostomo Ibarra. Both fighters are on a single point apiece with Ibarra ahead by virtue off having less fights. With current second place Joe Slasher on his bye week, a maximum point win here would put the victor ahead of him and into the championship qualification spot. Funakoshi got his season off to a great start with a decision win over boxer Joe Slasher. Unfortunately he ran into predicted Group winner Gruff Dragon in his second fight and, though giving a very good account of himself, succumb to a submission finish late in the first ten minute round. This loss put him into the fourth spot but in truth, Group B looks to be an incredibly competitive one and his current position perhaps doesn’t reflect Funakoshi’s level of performance so far. In the end though, the results do not lie and, now halfway through the season, Funakoshi will need to finish strong if he wants to compete for the overall grand prize. His opponent is Crisostomo “Simoun” Ibarra who was predicted a second place finish at the start of the season. Matched against another predicted qualifier in his opening bout, Ibarra fought to a stalemate against Gruff Dragon and then a valuable bye week in which to improve upon that in which he feels needed work. Ibarra now makes his return and he looks as though he has possibly spent a little time sharpening up his stand up skills. Whether this was the best use of his time as a Jiu-Jitsu fighter who lacks wrestling, only time will tell. This is a tough fight to predict as Funakoshi is very much a clinch fighter and Ibarra is a submission specialist who lacks wrestling. Moving into the clinch could be exactly what Ibarra wants and from there he could look to pull guard and drag Funakoshi to the ground. It wouldn’t be without it’s dangers but possibly less so than missing takedown attempts on the feet that could leave him vulnerable to counter and fatigue. Either way, both fighters will need to be wary of each other as one wrong move could end the fight quickly and with the group so evenly spread out currently, nether fighter will want to miss out on any points that are up for grabs. Prediction: Funakoshi by KO. Incredibly tough fight to predict as Ibarra has an experienced management team but Funakoshi looks as though he knows what he is doing and pure BJJ fighters have very rarely done well against strikers in these encounters Chris “Lights On” Chaitle (0-1-0 in Season) vs. Gruff Dragon (1-0-1 in Season) Our second Group B match up pits bottom of the pile Chris Chaitle against group leader Gruff Dragon and a win here for Chaitle could seriously blow this group wide open. Chris Chaitle put on a decent performance in his opening round bout despite ending up on the wrong side of a KO loss against boxer Joe Slasher. Though his wrestling is technically useless, he managed to secure a couple of take downs during the fight after being rocked early on but was unable to capitalise on this and his opponent was able to force a stand up. It’s possible that we may see Chaitle put on more of a striking display in this one however as his boxing has been improving steadily and Chaitle is rumoured to have some serious power in those hands of his. He’ll be facing a fighter who has so far managed to prove the odds makers correct by occupying the top spot in Group B. Gruff Dragon, the smallest competitor in the tournament currently, comes from a management team with a history of solid performances in these type of tournaments and will be looking to really cement his qualification to the championship play-offs with a win here. So far, Dragon has done OK and managed a draw and a finish win during the first half of his season but has looked far from unbeatable overall. This could be a good opportunity for Chaitle to really press the action and go for the maximum point win as he holds an advantage in the stand up and the submission skills to make Dragon wary of carelessly sitting in his guard after a take down. That’s not to say that Chaitle will want to be on his back against a fighter with such superior wrestling but it does mean that he at should at least still be able to hunt for a finish as opposed to simply holding on for a referee stand up. Prediction: Dragon by Dec. A match up that really does lend a hand towards Chaitle but I think the wrestling of Dragon will be the overwhelming factor in this fight Group C “I Weigh” One Fortythree (0-2-0 in Season) vs. Anders Silver (0-1-0 in Season) Moving into Group C we have One Fortythree, who after two fights is still looking for his first point of the season and he’ll be taking on Anders Silver who also will be looking to secure his first win this season. So far it has been a terribly disappointing season for Jamaican born One Fortythree. Predicted early to be the Group C front runner, Fortythree has instead managed to drop both of his first two fights by TKO finishes. This poor run of form has put him squarely at the bottom of Group C and he will now most likely need to finish the second half of the season with maximum point victories to merely have a shot at moving into the fifth place play-off at the end of the group stage. His opponent is Anders Silver, a Muay Thai specialist from Singapore. So far, after only one fight this season, Silver has yet to mount any kind of offensive move at all and will no doubt be itching to redeem his opening round performance against Takayama Yataro. With three fights ahead of him, Silver still has much of this season ahead of himself. Usually this type of grappler versus striker match up would heavily favour the wrestler but in this instance the wrestler has been in particularly bad form and the striker has obviously been preparing for this encounter and gained his blue belt in BJJ during his training time. One thing going for Fortythree however is the fact that he really has been mixing things up in the cage and likes to keep his opponent guessing. There is every likelihood that Fortythree will look to keep this fight standing and into the clinch and that may very well be a good game plan but, as we have seen literally nothing of Silver so far, it could just as well be the wrong one. Prediction: Fortythree by KO in the clinch. Having seen nothing from Silver so far, it’s very difficult to give much of a prediction “The Little” Rascals Alfalfa (0-1-0 in Season) vs. Takayama Yataro (2-0 in Season) Our other Group C match up features undefeated wrestler Takayama Yataro taking on Rascals Alfalfa who will be making his second appearance this season. “The Little” Rascals Alfalfa was unable to put his first round bye week to good use and made his season debut only to suffer a first round KO in under two minutes to Duke Nukem. His performance would have been no doubt disappointing to his manager as Alfalfa was unable to mount any real meaningful offence other than a mistimed head kick early on. Now, Alfalfa will get a second crack at the whip but he faces arguably his toughest fight within the group in wrestler Yataro. Takayama Yataro has gotten off to perfect start this season with two finish victories out of two fights though technically he is currently 3-0 if you factor in his MMA debut, a decision win in the QFC. He had a tougher match up against One Fortythree during his last but was still able to comfortably control the fight and end the fight with a TKO during the second round. He currently finds himself in second place but separated only by time spent in the cage and would actually go top with even a single point earned in this match up. This is a true grappler versus striker match up and unfortunately for Alfalfa, the grappler Yataro is currently in fine form. Alfalfa really only has a punchers chance here and unless he is somehow able to put Yataro away early, he is likely to find himself flat on his back fighting for his life. Prediction: Yataro by KO. Without any real grappling skills to speak of, Alfalfa will be completely overwhelmed once the fight hits the floor. Group D Balor “The Beast” Fino (2-0 in Season) vs. Makhlamed Armagedonenov (0-1-0 in Season) At this time of writing, Makhlamed Armagedonenov has not returned his fight agreement meaning that unless he does so before the event deadline, Balor “The Beast” Fino will be picking up another maximum point victory and practically guaranteeing his participation in the championship play-offs. Tom Baker (1-0 in Season) vs. “Brilliant” Brian Marais (1-1-0 in Season) With Balor Fino almost sure to take one of the two championship qualifying spots in the group, both Tom Baker and Brian Marais are two other fighters that are likely to be scrapping for the other. Tom Baker, so far only one fight into his season where he picked up maximum points with a KO over former predicted favourite Eunan Moray, is obviously in the stronger position as his opponent Brian Marias, unfancied to move on initially before a tremendous submission victory over Armagedonenov, is currently 1-1 overall. Marias goes into this fight a point behind Baker due to suffering a finish loss to Fino in his last fight and really does need a maximum points win here as, having actually had to fight Armagedonenov for his victory, if Armagedonenov doesn’t come back to the fray, Tom Baker is one of those still due to fight him and instead will be guaranteed a maximum point forfeit victory. Fight wise, this would usually be considered a tough fight for the wrestler Baker going against the submission skills of brown belt Marias, but Baker has just shown what he can do against jiu-jitsu fighters and the result was brutal. Marias would have to be a whole lot more proactive in getting the fight to the ground if he is to avoid the same fate. Prediction: Baker by KO. Expect the wrestler to follow the same game plan as he did against Moray and with no real wrestling to speak of himself, Marais might find it impossible to get the fight to the floor.

  23. GAMMA: September part 1 by James Isaac Abraham GAMMA#729 Featherweight Title Karol Mirowski v Selfie Lord When former UGD featherweight champ Lord arrived in GAMMA, he was out of the championship scene, failing to regain his throne in UGD after 3 attempts and his GAMMA debut was a loss to Tony Ramos. Just when everyone was about to consider him as a mid-ranked fighter, he has emerged and is now a bulldozing his way atop the top 10 rankings. This was Lord’s first title match since Nov. 2017 and he’s earned it with 3 straight wins prior to the title match. He faced who was back then reigning champ and future hall of famer Karol Mirowski. The match was splendid! The first round was absolutely a close one, where Mirowski got a slight edge in. The succeeding rounds were so close I didn’t really know who would win until the judges revealed their scores. Both fighters had almost the same gameplan and it have proved that they both can give us a good match. Striking was almost on par but there had to be a winner this time, and it was Lord who got the goddess of victory’s blessing. Result: Selfie Lord wins featherweight title via Unanimous Decision Lightweight Title Jeff Gower v Katu Partio Rumors have said that former GAMMA LW champ Gower is about to retire sooner or later. That is some real sad news but that doesn’t mean he’s taking a step down. In fact he’s been on fire winning 6 out of 7 matches prior to losing the belt to the reigning champ Partio. Partio on the other hand continues his push to the top 10 ladder and racking up wins against any contender. This time, they faced again for the second time around, Gower’s shot at redemption with the split decision loss, or Partio’s way of making a statement that he is the real winner. Last time around, it was evident how great their defense was. It was hard for both fighters to get a clear shot, and it was really obvious to end in a decision. Two judges had the same opinion to choose Partio but the other judge voted a close call in favor of Gower. The same case happened in this match. Both were so evenly matched, but they were both a bit more accurate. Partio was more aggressive and varied his strikes more. Less time was also spent in the clinch this time. For 5 rounds, both fighters went on and on, which made it very difficult to judge. In the end, it really was a tough call for everyone and the judges had different opinions. Despite Partio landing more strikes overall, match ended in a draw if we look at the scorecards. Result: Katu Partio retains lightweight title, Draw GAMMA#730 Welterweight Superfight Pablo Maracon (GAMMA) v Pekka Pera (OFC) We got ourselves a welterweight superfight in Pera v Maracon. Pera representing OFC has visited us to challenge our champion. Maracon was also a former UGD fighter and was bound to be in the title scene. His form continued on upon transferring to GAMMA and he’s finally sit in the top of the division, alongside his teammate Lao Shin. Pera on the other hand has also been on fire, being undefeated in OFC for quite some time. This was a match to boost into the top 10, and was a must win for both champions. Both fighters are very well rounded in the striking game. Pera’s gameplan was to vary his striking and capitalize on his wrestling skills. He was looking into more TDs and clinches but Maracon was prepared for it as a fellow elite wrestler. Maracon on the other hand was more aggressive in striking and he had splendid ground defense, regaining control immediately after Pera succeeds with the takedowns. In this match, Maracon’s control of the flow was crucial in securing his win in this one. This puts Maracon in the top 10, winning via unanimous decision. Sources say that Maracon plans to move to 185 and let his teammate Shin take over the division. Some interesting things going on in the division. Result: Pablo Maracon wins via Unanimous Decision Super Heavyweight bout FannyPack SissyPants vs Bubba Gumption GAMMA: Contenders rising star SissyPants blasted his way into the rankings with his Contenders run. At the age of 32, he’s been making a statement and has arrived in GAMMA with an immediate right to challenge the former champ and future HoF Bubba. Surprisingly, FannyPack had the intuition that he has a superior clinch game. Turns out, he was right. He is the superior clinch fighter. Right off the bat it was his gameplan and he pulled through with it. He destroyed Bubba in the clinch despite Bubba’s wrestling experience. SissyPants was dealing too much damage, causing Bubba to lose his form and getting finished. Result: FannyPack SissyPants wins via 1st round TKO (Punches) GAMMA#731 Super Heavyweight Title Dustin Kruger vs Brandon Simmons On top of the super heavyweight rankings lies the GAMMA champion Dustin Kruger. Prior to the match, Kruger has had 4 successful defenses and is en route to make a long run at the title after defeating GAMMA legend Bubba Gumption in GAMMA 710. The challenger Simmons on the other hand racked up wins upon acquisition by his new manager Balls Manager, going 3-1 prior to the match and earning the rights to the title match. Kruger was expected to secure another KO in this match. However, Simmons was a worthy challenger and put on a well fought match, going back and forth for 5 rounds despite having a cut from the first round. The third round seemed like it was the end for Simmons but he held on to survive the round, eventually recovering. It really was a tough call for the judges and all three had different opinions. In the end, match ended with a draw. An immediate rematch will took place tomorrow in GAMMA 734. Stay tuned. Result: Dustin Kruger retains SHW title due to a Draw GAMMA#732 Featherweight bout Felix Legions vs Gareth Keenan Gareth Keenan was recently acquired by manager Lance Templeton, thus keeping his competitive form and technique in check. He faces former Syn fighter Felix Legions who look to make a name in GAMMA since his arrival in August. On a surface level perspective, Keenan has advantage in striking while Legions has the better ground game. It was evident in the match, as Keenan was more accurate and effective in striking. Legions successfully took down Keenan twice in the span of 3 rounds. In the ground, Keenan showed great ground defense and took the scorecards all 3 rounds. Dominant win by Gareth Keenan. Result: Gareth Keenan wins via Unanimous Decision

  24. Indomitable Wills II Next event to take place is this coming Saturday when 2 belts are up for grabs in the 265lb and 135lb weight classes. The main event is the 265 division stand off between Hyon & Budo with Hyon the current holder in this calls when winning against Punch Drunk in late August. THe second title bout is between Laperierre and Machida with the title belt up for grabs from the current holder Generic Guy. 265lb Title Fight "Underdog" Seol Ki Hyon Thay "Sleeping Pill" Budo Record 5-0-1 (W-L-D Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w20.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15286846848534.png Current holder Hyon is really going to have to pull out a great performance to beat the undefeated animal Budo who is on a 7 win hot streak and has destroyed all the opponents that he has encountered to date. He is the current holder of the 205lb division and has successfully defended this title on 2 occasions and has been catapulted to this weight class to see if a bigger man can put some manners on him! Hyon is no pushover with 5 wins and a draw to his name and is a fan of getting in close to use his ability in the clinch which is similar to Budo although Budo can stay out of the clinch and is an excellent standup fighter and has real KO power. Budo has ended all but one of his fights within one minute and the longest it took him to win was 2.34mins which is still not a long time. Hyon in comparison has had to go the distance twice and tends to not finish opponents as quickly as Budo. Tale of the tape on this one show Budo to be much better boxer and wrestler but with Hyon shading it in the MT department. SHould be a good fight but can see Budo wearing 2 belts at the end of the night on Saturday! 135lb Title Fight Ian Laperrierre Lyodo "Karate Kid" Machida Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14736963834875.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/31/31w45.jpg There will be a new title holder of the 135 lbs no matter what on Saturday after this fight with both these lads looking to go home with the heavier kitbag! Laperrierre is undefeated to date and has shown some great moves in previous fights when winning 3 fights of the nights awards. Laperrierre loves throwing punches and is a great brawler and can fight equally well in the clinch or when standing off the clinch. He has won 3 of his five fights by decision so he has the legs and heart to go the distance with anyone. Machida is not a great striker but can be lethal in GnP so Laperrierre will no doubt be trying to keep this fight off the canvas. Machida has 4 wins under his belt with only one loss coming before he joined JAG. There is not much in the difference between these fighters with Laperrierre shading the boxing, MT and wrestling departments but Machida is the much better BJJ specialist than Laperrierre. This has the hallmarks of another fight of the night and both these fighters are very good operators and deserve to be getting this shot at silverware. Punch Drunk AKimbo "Dual Blade" Cutt Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32b11.jpg Punch is an interesting fighter and his only defeat to date was to the current 265 title holder Hyon (see earlier preview) which is no disgrace. He is a fantastic striker and has won all his fights by way of some shape of a punch with one strike, his ability to stay on his feet and use his fists to great effect has been the reason for his success to date. He is however coming up against a very good boxer in Cutt who also has a great record when it comes to wins by way of Strikes and/or punches, funnily enough Cutt’s only defeat to date was also against Hyon! Cutt is very accurate with his punches and doesn’t tend to miss so Drunk’s defence better be good to withstand the potential onslaught! Drunk while loving to punch it out is way better than Cutt in the wrestling category while Cutt is the much better boxer so maybe Punch might have to change his tactics for this fight and use his superior GnP to better effect as if he goes toe to toe with Cutt, Cutts better boxing ability might work against him. Drogovan "The Strangler" Skrtic Finnick Skywalker Record 4-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w11.jpg Skywalkers last fight when he was upended in under a minute by his aggressive opponent who came out swinging, however he does have 2 wins to his name with one going to a decision when he threw a remarkable 200 punches in the clinch to win by unanimous decision. He has better MT and slightly better wrestling than his opponent on Saturday which he will no doubt use to good effect. Skrtic is coming off the back of 2 title fights losses when beaten twice by Wendel ins less than minute on both occasions, both of these losses coming by way of punches. All his wins have come by way of submissions and he has very good takedowns so if Skywalker wants to win he will need to keep this fight standing or in the clinch where he will have the upper hand. Odds available with my bookies if you feel the need for a flutter. Also if anyone wants to get a morale & energy boost by flying Private I have recently purchased a top of the range private jet and can make available to anyone interested in getting some morale boosts and indeed if anyone wants to move base with minimal morale loss moving by private jet can reduce this. 25. GAMMA: August Part 2 by James Isaac Abraham GAMMA#726 Super Heavyweight Title Dustin Kruger vs Thorbjorn Heimendahl Kruger was on his way to defend his belt for the 4th time in his current run. After making a name defeating the legend Bubba Gumption, he’s been unstoppable since with consecutive KO wins. Heimendahl on the other hand has fought well in his 4 fights prior to the match, winning 3 of them and earning the rights to the title. As opposed to the initial predictions, we could’ve said that this was Kruger’s match from the get-go. It was different though as Heimendahl proved to be a worthy contender. Trading blows and going on the same pace with the champ. Heimendahl won the first round comfortably but Kruger retaliated in the second round. However, the continuous strain caused by the damage of Kruger’s hits were to much to sustain that the challenger fell in the 3rd round with consecutive brutal knockouts. Great match, but it was the champ that proved to be a monster. This makes it four successful title defenses for Kruger. Result: Dustin Kruger retains Super Heavyweight Title (4th defense) via 3rd round KO(Punch) GAMMA#727 Featherweight Title Match Karol Mirowski vs Felipe Feltre As a well-known top 5 featherweight, Karol Mirowski has solidified his claim to the GAMMA 145 lbs division. He’s defeated big names in the league and has suppressed different rivals such as Gareth Keenan and Kira Miyata. This time, he faced an opponent who he faced long ago, the challenger Felipe Feltre. They last met in GAMMA#702, where Mirowski just recently lost his title to his rival Keenan. Mirowski succeeded with a 2nd round TKO victory. This time, they faced as opponents and the title was on the line. As expected, it was no easy match for both fighters. Feltre’s strategy was more well rounded. He’s been circling around the champ and he’s getting a lot of points off of him, securing the first 2 rounds comfortably. Excellent use of variations with leg kicks and punches. However, the champ Mirowski went on with the same goal and strategy as their first meeting, trying to look for a TKO finish. In the 3rd round came a brutal knockdown that just caused Feltre to lose control. I would say it was the plan all along and Feltre was not able to hold on. Tremendous TKO finish by the champion Mirowski. Result: Karol Mirowski retains Featherweight Title via TKO (Strikes) GAMMA#728 Light Heavyweight Title Ghazi Okah vs Donsone DeNeville After the era of the legendary Menace Defoe, it was time for Ghazi Okah to make a name for himself. Defeating the legend twice makes him another all time great in the making. He’s faced with a new challenger in Donsone DeNeville who’s been racking up wins, winning 5 of his 6 matches prior to the match. The champ was the clear aggressor in this one, making a statement that he is the champ and had the goal of applying pressure to the challenger and controlling the match. Okah was throwing a lot of punches and landing a great percentage of them while DeNeville was struggling to connect punches. I wouldn’t say it was one sided but with the form Okah has been showing, he is en route to another victory sooner or later. The first round was a close call but those 19 head strikes mixed with different low kicks may have dealt a lot of damage already by the 2nd round. It was eventually over in the middle of the 2nd round where he landed a brutal straight to knock the challenger out cold. Outstanding power by the champ, as he is only the 2nd fighter to KO DeNeville in his whole career. Result: Ghazi Okah retains Light Heavyweight Title (3rd defense) via KO (Punch) Middleweight Title Dao Sonnen vs Razmig Grigorian The man who defeated Saul Goodman, Dao Sonnen is on his way to make a name in GAMMA. He’s been here for a long time but it was only until then that he pushed himself to the top of the fight scene. As a champion of different organizations, and going through the struggle of climbing the org through the GAMMA: Contenders, Sonnen is a success story. This time, he faced a young rising star with a tremendous 17 fight win streak. When it seemed like Grigorian was like a fighter who can’t be defeated, Sonnen was not fazed by the challenge. He’s used his experience and did what he does best, a well rounded strategy with a good use of his ground skills. If it was only striking, Grigorian would have won the match with his KO power, but Sonnen was smart to focus on his strengths also. With 7 successful takedown attempts, Grigorian lost control of the match, going down the mat at least once in each round. The champ Sonnen was not able to secure the finish but it was basically a great display of skill and technique. He outplayed the challenger this time. Grigorian is still young and he can still get another shot sometime around, given that he is indeed a great fighter. Let’s see how this one will go about. Result: Dao Sonnen retains Middleweight Title (1st Defense) via Unanimous Decision

  26. GAMMA: August Part 1 by James Isaac Abraham GAMMA#724 Middleweight TItle Saul Goodman vs Dao Sonnen They have been fighting under GAMMA for quite some time and have established themselves as top ranked middleweights of the world. It’s surprising that it’s the first time these guys go head-to-head. Nonetheless, Sonnen has climbed his way to the top contender spot with an amazing form and he’s finally faced Goodman for the belt. What would you expect from a bout between two of the top 15 welterweights? Of course, a good fight. The skill level in this one was so high but both fighters didn’t give in. Goodman was his usual self with his efficient striking and composure. Sonnen on the other hand was keeping up with the champ but he mixed it up with his ground game. With his takedowns, he’s managed to get some points and controlled the fight in the ground. Also, he almost got a finish more than a few times. It was a really close call, not really sure who would’ve won that as it surely was a tough match for both fighters. Sonnen got rounds 1,3,5 for 2 judges, while the other scores a draw. Hard earned win for the newly crowned champ. Result: Dao Sonnen wins Middleweight Title via Majority Decision Middleweight Bout Razmig Grigorian vs Basten Sodergren Another exciting Middleweight bout was in action last August 4 as two potential contenders for the belt faced each other. Sodergren is a also a top middleweight of the world and he’s fought under GAMMA for quite some time. However, the division is filled with tough competition and he’s only been to the title scene once, in which he fell to Saul Goodman in the 3rd round. On the other hand, the younger rising star Grigorian is trying to conquer the world at the age of 26. A must win for both fighters given that the contender spot for the belt was on the line. As expected both fighters kept it standing and it was a battle of striking and clinch fighting. Grigorian was more aggressive in the fight and he was landing good shots against the 33 year old Sodergren. Sodergren on the other hand was looking to take the fight in the clinch but it seems that Grigorian was getting better position to strike relentlessly. With this, Grigorian punches his way to a TKO win in the 3rd round. Tremendous power from Grigorian. This win earns him the right challenge the new champ Sonnen this 8-25 in GAMMA 728. Sodergren on the other hand will need to rack up some wins if he wants to get back to the title scene. Result: Razmig Grigorian wins via 3rd round TKO (Strikes). GAMMA#725 Lightweight Title Katu Partio vs Randy Springs Katu Partio has been on a roll since arriving in GAMMA. He’s been undefeated since joining and he’s bagged the belt after a thrilling decision win against former champ Jeff Gower. He defended his title for the first time and his first contender was a familiar face in the GAMMA 155 division. It’s none other than the future hall of famer and 3 time GAMMA lightweight champion Randy Springs, who looks to reclaim his title after losing the belt to Gower and failing to reclaim it in Gower’s 2nd title defense. Partio’s strategy in this fight was to make use of his BJJ black belt advantage against the former champ Springs. Springs on the other hand kept his form with his efficient striking and better wrestling. As expected, Springs was more accurate and took the first round in the scorecards. Despite that, the champ Partio finally got hold of a successful takedown after 3 failed attempts. The champ didn’t waste this opportunity and outmaneuvered Springs with BJJ. Eventually, it was a guillotine waiting to be locked in. Excellent display of BJJ by the champ. Partio then moves in the top 10 P4P and ranked #2 in world lightweight rankings. Springs has lost his past 3 title matches and will look to rack up some wins to challenge the winner of the upcoming lightweight title match between Partio and Gower. For the mean time, Springs will be facing Sala Barbo for a GAMMA 722 rematch. Result: Partio retains Lightweight Title via 2nd round Submission (Guillotine) Super Heavyweight Bout Hennan Hoyce vs Brandon Simmons 2 We got to see another clash between two of the top 10 SHW giants. The last time around, it was Hoyce who got the better of Simmons, knocking him out in a fashionable comeback KO after being rocked by Simmons. In this second match between the two, we’re expecting another 1st round KO for sure, and both fighters didn’t fail to give a good show. It was a battle of KOs, a strike to the death type of battle. Just like their first meeting, it was another power-filled clash and bodies were getting knocked down everywhere. The first 2-3 minutes was more of a tactical segment. Trying to gauge each other. As we have seen, Simmons was more cautious this time around and dealing heavy damage with counters while mixing in some accurate strikes with leg kicks and punches. In the 3rd minute it was a bloodbath. Simmons knocks Hoyce down with a massive hook. That sure dealt a lot of damage and the confident Hoyce seems to lose control of his body. Surprisingly a big head kick came outta nowhere with a quick comeback knockdown from Hoyce. Amazing display of heart and power by Hoyce despite being rocked a few seconds ago. However, not long after it was Simmons again with a big lethal right hand who succeeds with a counter and drops Hoyce to the canvas. The damage was too much and another knockdown followed. However, Hoyce wasn’t done just yet as he was gonna be able to survive the round with a few seconds remaining. As he was wiping off some vaseline Simmons manages to get a cheap shot, and a big one! This caught Hoyce off guard and manages to secure the KO win, knocking Hoyce out cold. A series of unfortunate events for Hoyce. With this, Hoyce moves down the rankings, losing 5 of his last 8 matches while Simmons earns the rights to challenge the reigning champ Kruger in GAMMA 731. Result: Brandon Simmons wins via 1st round KO (Punch)

  27. JBL 3 Budo V Dee was a massive success with a sell out crowd watching Budo retain his title and seeing Punch Drunk win the inaugural 265lbs title. Well done to both fighters and managers. Will anyone be able to knock Budo from the top spot?? Summary of the night is as follows: *** 205 lbs 5 Thay Budo Bobby Dee TKO (Strikes) 2 00:24 *** 265 lbs 5 Punch Drunk Standup Fighter TKO (Strikes) 2 00:58 185 lbs Shiba Inu Ruston Cohle Submission (Kimura) 1 04:26 135 lbs Ian Laperierre Slammy Neckbreaker Decision (Unanimous) 3 05:00 205 lbs Jordon Shoemaker Michael Dark TKO (Strikes) 1 02:58 135 lbs Brayden Point Timothy Wine TKO (Strikes) 1 02:56 145 lbs George Steve Jr Manu Peralta TKO (Strikes) 1 01:33 155 lbs Moese Daldo Juantamo Padilla Submission (Armbar) 1 00:49 155 lbs Matteo Claessens Mickey Ward Decision (Unanimous) 3 05:00 185 lbs Marcel Dikoume John Miles Submission (Americana) 1 00:24 Next big event is JBL IV Takashi V Sireika this coming Saturday night. Saku Takashi Arnoldas Sireika Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41a1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg Top of the bill is the 185lbs title fight with Takashi the current holder of the belt in this weight class. The pretender to the throne is Sireika who hails from Lithuania and is 3 fights undefeated and will be hoping to bring home the title belt on Saturday. Saku iwon the belt just under a month ago when defeating Shibu Inu in a tightly fought contest which went to a decision which went his way. Saku is a grinder with 3 of his wins going to decisions with only his debut win coming by way of TKO Strikes. Saku is a good wrestler and his fights to date seem to be spent on the canvas mainly with Saku using his remarkable wrestling skills to his advantage he is a persistent fighter as can be seen from his fights going the distance and he will take his time trying to improve his position to try to get the submission from his opponent. Sireika has won his 3 previous fights by way on TKO X2 and Decision. He is a very different fighter to Saku and will probably try to keep the fight standing where his Wonderful MT skills will come to the fore. He is a heavy handed fighter hows to to end fights so lets see how this one goes. If Sireika can keep out of range of Saku’s takedowns the title will be his! VERDICT: Sireika Mabo Dada Generic Guy Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/23/23b12.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w12.jpg Dado is the undisputed champ of the 135 lbs division and has a fantastic streak of 6 wins to his name with no defeats. He won the title for this weight in the middle of July when defeating Sedlacek in JBL 1 by way of decision after 5 rounds of war. He has won 3 of his 3 fights by way of TKO Strikes and the other 3 by way of Decisions. He is powerful man and is a fantastic puncher with more punches landing than miss and when he connects he really connects! You could ask some of his previous opponents how hard he hits but to be honest they wouldn’t be able to tell you as he has caused more cases of amnesia than a night of drinking single malt Irish whiskey cause! His opponent on Saturday is one of my guilty pleasures in JBL and I love the name for this guy Generic Guy, he is however anything but generic when it comes to his talent showing beating one of my fighters in his previous outing when he threw nearly 170 punches in clinches with my lad, I don’t know how Collins stayed standing to only lose by decision in the end the battering he took. He is a very accurate boxer and the majority of his punches/strikes actually hit their target so I think this should be a great fight on Saturday. Both of these fighters are evenly matched except in the MT department where Generic Guy has the advantage. I can smell an upset here VERDICT: Generic Guy Unai Vencedor Manny "Reaper" Johnson Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b8.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15267578275495.jpg 2 good fighters are next up and both of these could be title contenders if they can get a good run going. Unai had 4 wins from 4 and has won three by way of TKO Strike and on by KO so he certainly knows how to hit! Manny is similar other than he lost one fight by way of KO but other than that has won by either TKO with one decision going his way. Reaper likes to clinch with opponents then open them up when he can but he can also go toe to toe with another fighter and trade blows when required and enjoys a good brawl. Unai has a tendency to end his fights early and likes to brawl as well so this fight could be an old school toe to toe with whoever has the most capacity to soak up damage being the winner of this one. Johnson is the much better boxer and BJJ with Unai showing more talent in the MT and wrestling departments. If this fight stays standing then I would expect Johnson to win but is it goes to the ground Unai’’s superior wrestling might shade it for him Verdict: Johnson Seol Ki Hyon Jake "The Fat Sibling" Jones Record 3-0-1 (W-L-D) Record 1-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w20.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38w13.jpg Hyon is undefeated to date with the only “blemish” being a draw when the judges were unable to separate him and Knock Out. His wins were by way of TKO strike, TKO cut and a unanimous decision in his debut fight. He likes to get in close and use his remarkable MT to is advantage, however he has been known to stay at distance and pepper punches at his opponent, quite accurately too I’d have to say! Jones has only one win and one loss to his name and his win was by way of KO Punch when he threw only 3 punches with 2 landing and absolutely destroyed his opponent after only 20 seconds of round 1! His only defeat was when he was kept on the canvas so he will need to try to stay on his feet if he can in this fight where he can use his boxing talent to his advantage although with Hyon’s MT skills this could backfire. I really can’t call this one and if I was to have a choice I would probably call it a draw but I’m gonna slightly favour Jones on this fight. Verdict: Jones. I will preview the rest of the fights separately if I get time and will post them here

  28. GAMMA: July Part 2 by James Isaac Abraham GAMMA#721 Welterweight Title Pablo Maracon vs Robin Yount Former UGD star, now your GAMMA welterweight champ Pablo Maracon took challenge for his first title defense against a homegrown talent in Robin Yount. Robin Yount spent most of his career in GAMMA, with 80% of his career fought in a GAMMA affiliated org, including a time he became a lightweight champ way back in 2016. Yount hit rock bottom a year ago with a series of losses but now he’s back after clinching the GAMMA Contenders middleweight belt. He faced the streaking champ Maracon and the champ didn’t go easy on him. It was a closely fought match and both fighters pushed even if they acquired a cut mid fight. I’d give Maracon credit for his brilliant striking against the challenger. The champ was more accurate with his hits. Yount on the other hand wanted to bring it to the clinch. Yount was more accurate in clinch striking but the champ was far more aggressive, probably earning him more points in that aspect. The match ended with 3 judges scoring the match to the champ. Great battle and I hope Yount finds his way back to the title scene again for another shot. Result: Pablo Maracon retains Welterweight Title via Unanimous Decision Middleweight Bout Razmig Grigorian vs Matt Quin Another episode of recent GAMMA superstar acquisition going against a homegrown veteran. The former GAMMA Middleweight champ Matt Quin goes head to head against the former Dare Middleweight champ, a top 5 middleweight of the world. Grigorian was by far the better striker here and it was evident that Quin was smart enough to try and take the match to the ground given his excellent grappling skills. However, Grigorian’s defense on the ground is tremendous, doing a great job defending against the black belt Quin. As Quin tries to take Grigorian down again, Grigorian just keeps on hammering Quin from distance, punching through his chin bit by bit. Quin got rocked early in the 2nd. He tried his best to hold on but the damage was too much. Grigorian doesn’t waste his time and put’s Quin to sleep with an epic uppercut followed by a series of strikes. The referee had no choice but to stop it. Result: Razmig Grigorian wins via 2nd round TKO (Strikes) GAMMA#722 Light Heavyweight Title Menace Defoe vs Ghazi Okah 3 Familiar faces atop our 205 rankings, Okah and Defoe go head to head for the 3rd time. When these 2 fight, you always get a good show. Both competitive, highly skilled, experienced and have excellent chin. When Okah came to GAMMA, it was Defoe who was in the way for the title. Defoe showed him that it was his turf but GAMMA 713, Okah came back with a statement that he is the better fighter. Okah was so aggressive dominating the match early but the champ didn’t back down. Defoe staged a comeback but it wasn’t enough as Okah earned the scores for the 3 rounds. In this 3rd encounter, Okah is the champ and Defoe is now the challenger. As expected, it was another closely fought match. Outstanding performance by both fighters. Almost evenly matched in striking and in the clinch. It was a mere battle that anyone could win. However, in the end, it was the judges’ job to call a winner and this time, the belt remains to the champion Okah. A fight of true champions. Will go down as one of the best rivalries in GAMMA. I hope to see a 4th battle though. Let’s see if Defoe finds his way back up or if Okah keeps the throne long enough. Result: Ghazi Okah retains Light Heavyweight Title via Unanimous Decision GAMMA#723 Featherweight Title Gareth Keenan vs Karol Mirowski 4 When you talk about a rivalry, you can never forget about the featherweights of GAMMA, Mirowski and Keenan. This is the fourth time they fought this year. It’s not like they are the only good guys in the division. It’s just that they beat their way into the top of the division and end up battling each other’s hearts out. These guys were born to be champs and seeing a match fought by these two is plain luck for us MMA fans. Keenan was the reigning champ when his top ranked manager David Brent went on a hiatus and released him. Now, he’s with a new manager and will make his debut under Lance Templeton’s command (also a top ranked manager). When you see rivals like them going at it, and you are the judge, you’d definitely go crazy trying to score the match. It was so tightly contested all throughout. Both fighters are absolute beasts in striking and they never hold back, specially when they fight each other. Another 200 strikes thrown per fighter match between the two. It was so close until Keenan almost KO’d Mirowski. Mirowski got rocked late in the 5th and he was wobbly. Keenan was this close to a KO win but Mirowski kept evading until he regained control of his body! I honestly didn’t guess the winner until the judges revealed it. Even the judges had a hard time, with 2 judges favoring the challenger Mirowski. Result: Mirowski wins Featherweight Title via Split Decision Super Heavyweight Title Dustin Kruger vs Bubba Gumption 2 Not long after losing the belt to the new guy Kruger, Bubba is back to challenge his former throne. He destroyed Saric and Heimendahl in a 1st round finish, proving that he wants the belt back right away. Kruger on the other hand has his own feat, defending the belt against contenders Glozman and Pagnozzi. Now they met again for the second time. This time, Kruger was the champ. Their last match was a closely contested match until a splendid KO came in via Kruger. Just like the first outing, Bubba wins the first round. Great striking from both fighters but Bubba gets the lead. However, just like the first match, it was Kruger who kept his cool and keeps punching blow by blow. Bubba wants to clinch but it seems Kruger wants to keep it in distance. It was another close match only until Kruger got a clean shot to knock the former champion down. He wants Bubba back up and he does! But here comes another blow by the champ and Bubba goes down again. As expected of a former champ and future legend Bubba, he won’t get KO’d easily. He once again stood up and quickly regained his senses. Excellent heart and chin right there. It would’ve been an early KO for anyone. But it was the champ Kruger in the end who prevailed. After damaging Bubba with a body kick, he puts him to sleep with a nasty hook in the closing seconds of the round. Great win by the champ Kruger. I expect Bubba to be back in no time. Result: Dustin Kruger retains Super Heavyweight Title via 2nd round KO

  30. Well done to all the fighters that took part in the Test of Wills II particularly the new champ Mathias Wendel who beat Skrtic in the 170 title fight which ended quickly enough after less than a minute when Wendel landed a beautiful right hand to open Skrtic up and it was game over after that! List of the other winners on the night are as follows: 170 lbs 5 Mathias Wendel Drogovan Skrtic KO (Punch) 1 00:54 170 lbs Title 135 lbs 3 Martin Sedlacek Ted Cruz Submission (Triangle) 2 02:55 155 lbs 3 Kreemo Dada Rudi De Bruin TKO (Punches) 1 00:13 145 lbs 3 Pat Michaels Carlos Andrade Decision (Unanimous) 3 05:00 205 lbs 3 Isajah Free Adam Vierhoven Submission (Armbar) 1 03:54 170 lbs 3 Larry Haggus Billy Fotherby Submission (Armbar) 1 02:38 170 lbs 3 Khabib Nurmagoduv Ethan Wright TKO (Strikes) 3 03:32 135 lbs 3 Michael Collins Theodore Barnett TKO (Strikes) 1 02:51 170 lbs 3 Henry Shaw Paulo Rodrigues TKO (Strikes) 1 01:08 170 lbs 3 Luis Fernandes Hal Joseph Decision (Unanimous) 3 05:00 Next event to take place is this Saturday and is JBL 3 Budo V Dee and is a full 10 fight card. There are two titles on the line for this event the 205 and the 265 titles with Budo defending his title which he won on the 14th July and the 265 title which is currently vacant which is being fought over by Standup V Drunk. Main event Thay "Sleeping Pill" Budo Bobby "Sovereign" Dee Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15286846848534.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15w12.jpg This looks to be a very evenly matched pairing and both of these lads have yet to taste defeat in the ring - that is going to end (probably very painfully) for one of these guys on Saturday. Budo is the defending champ and has is not showing any fear of losing his title by defending it so soon after winning it recently. Budo despite his nickname is an animal in the ring and has won all his fights by way of TKO/KO strike or punches. Budo is a man that likes to throw a punch and has serious power in his arms he is also very accurate with his hands and doesn’t miss too often when he throws a punch. Budo doesn’t like going to ground whereas Dee is the opposite and all his wins whilst coming the same way as Budo by TKO/KO he has won his fights with ground strikes rather than staying upright. This will be interesting to see if Dee can take Budo out of his comfort zone and bring him to the canvas where Budo may struggle. Budo is absolutely miles better than Dee in boxing but Dee shades it in MT and BJJ. This really should be an interesting fight. I’m gonna tip Budo to retain his title Verdict: Budo Next title is the 265lbs category and its Fighter V Drunk. Standup Fighter Punch Drunk Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14760593138760.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg I’ll have to admit that I love both of these fighters names and well done to both managers for their imagination. This is Canada versus the Netherlands and we’ll see if the travel over from Montreal takes anything out of Drunk. This is the maiden title fight at this weight and it should be a great fight. Neither of these lads has lost to date and both will be hoping to take the belt and another scalp at this event. Fighter has won 4 out of 5 of his fights by way of TKO and despite his name doesn’t try to spend much time standing during fights he has decent wrestling so he tends to try to take the fight to the canvas and finish it out from there. He doesn’t tend to finish his opponents quickly but has the engine to wear them down over a couple of rounds if he is allowed! Punch Drunk on the other hand is the complete opposite fighter and has won all 4 of his fights by way of KO with one ending in fantastic fashion with a superman punch taking out Teempson - Go Drunk….. Drunk has ended all 4 of his previous fights in round one with his longest fight only lasting 1.50mins. This is a man that really knows how to hit. This fight is going to be interesting with Fighter wanting to hit the canvas and Drunk trying to stay standing where he has the boxing and MT advantage. Fighter is the better wrestler so if he can get Drunk down he will win. I have to say that I fancy Drunk to get the title on Saturday. Verdict: Drunk Next up with no title at stake but don’t expect them to show any mercy is Inu V Cohle. Shiba "Woofu" Inu Ruston "Taxman" Cohle Record 2-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41a2.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32w41.jpg Inu is fresh from a defeat in his title shot against Takashi so he will be looking to bounce back with a win against Cohle who is off the back of 3 wins in a row. Inu has won his 2 fights by way of Submissions and has lost to a KO Punch and a decision in a fights where both fighter spent more time on the ground rolling around than Neymar in a Brazil match! Cohle is a former lawman but turned to MMA when he ran into a bunch of corrupt cops in Texas. He is known as the taxman because he has a personality everyone loves to hate, and who doesn’t hate the taxman? He has won all his fights by way of Submission, and as fights very similarly to his opponent on Saturday so this could go all the way at the weekend. Cohle has much better MT and boxing than Inu who shades him on the Wrestling and BJJ fronts. Cohle looks a little tired so if this goes over a couple of rounds he could be in trouble and he will need to try to keep the fight standing for as long as possible to make his MT and boxing advantage count and try to keep off the canvas. VERDICT: Cohle Next up Laperierre V Neckbreaker Ian Laperierre Slammy Neckbreaker Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/34/34b1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15265777823149.jpg Ian is 3 and undefeated to date and has won his fights in a variety of manners, KO punch, Submission and Decision. He is a great wrestler and is strong as a bull and has taken many’s the punch and stayed standing. His Opponent Neckbreaker has won his 4 fights by way of TKO and KO by way of strikes and one by Punch. He is a good wrestler as well but enjoys throwing punches as well either standing or striking on the canvas, he is good at both. These two fighter are inseparable when comparing skills but Neckbreaker slightly edges it on the MT side which will help him if he can get Laperierre to the canvas. Given how even these lads are I’m torn but will go with Neckbreaker as I think he can use his wrestling ability to get Laperierre to the ground and then try to hammer him into the ground using his MT Verdict: Neckbreaker. 31. GAMMA: July Part 1 by James Isaac Abraham GAMMA#718 Super Heavyweight Title Dustin Kruger vs Mitzi Glozman The new king of the division Dustin Kruger defends his title for the 2nd time. He faces the contender Glozman who has been on a roll in his past 3 fights securing a 3-0 record. The champ Kruger has proven to be a very experienced fighter, managing to secure the W despite struggling early in the fight. Glozman secured the first 2 rounds in the scorecards, displaying his initiation in clinches. He’s managed to secure all 4 clinch attempts and surprisingly, it was Kruger who did much damage in the clinch landing more strikes. That might have been the key as he punched through Glozman’s chin bit by bit. In the 3rd round, Glozman finally fell to the champ in a brutal display of power. With a vicious uppercut followed by a series of strikes, it was over for any guy. Great save by the referee Result: Dustin Kruger retains Super Heavyweight Title via 3rd round TKO GAMMA#719 Super Heavyweight bout Bubba Gumption vs Zdravko Saric The number 1 contender spot for the title featured former SHW champ and future GAMMA Hall of Famer Bubba Gumption and the new guy Zdravko Saric who’s defeated another legend in Hennan Hoyce. Bubba lost the belt to the reigning champ Kruger and he looks to face him again with a win in this one. Right off the bat, it was pure aggression for both fighters. Very aggressive in striking and it was obvious that the match was to end in the first round at that pace. Saric was not to be ignored with his excellent chin and massive KO power. Saric managed to knock Bubba down and he was this close to getting the finish. Surprisingly, the beast in Bubba has awaken, shaking off that damage and managed to knock Saric down right after. This time, Saric was starting to fade, with Bubba going away with the TKO victory with a wonderful fake leg kick followed by a superman punch. Result: Bubba Gumption wins via 1st round TKO Welterweight Title Musta Laine vs Pablo Maracon A usual face in the championship scene, Musta Laine faces former UGD fighter Pablo Maracon. Maracon was en route to the belt with his winning streak but the organization has called it quits. After his career in UGD he took his talents to GAMMA and earned the rights to the contender spot with a victory against Robin Yount. It was unexpectedly very one sided in favor of the challenger Maracon. Excellent display of striking while maintaining good defense. Laine managed to pull through with 4 successful takedowns but Maracon had good ground defense. Great match indeed but Maracon got away with the victory. Now, Maracon faces a familiar opponent in Robin Yount but this time, the belt is at stake. Results: Pablo Maracon wins the Welterweight Title via Unanimous Decision GAMMA#720 Lightweight Title Jeff Gower vs Katu Partio Excellent duel by two great fighters in champion Jeff Gower and Katu Partio. Striking was almost balanced for both fighters. Both equipped with good technique and strategy but Partio was more on the clinch grappling approach. Knowing that Gower is the better clinch striker, Partio varied his moves with alternating engage and disengage which kept the champ guessing. Gower was more accurate in striking but Partio was more effective and he played the scorecards well. It was a very difficult fight to judge, and was evident in the varied opinions of the judges. 2 judges favored the approach Partio did, the other going for Gower. Excellent strategy and he goes home with the W. That puts Partio in 7 straight wins now while Gower will try to look for a rematch sooner or later. Result: Katu Partio wins Lightweight Title via Split Decision Middleweight Title Saul Goodman vs Basten Sodergren Newly acquired fighter Saul Goodman is now in the hands of a new top tier manager in Ed Minasian. His first fight with Minasian is a title defense against a challenger who’s been bulldozing his way to the title with 9 straight victories, Sodergren. Both are almost evenly matched on the feet but Goodman was very aggressive coming into the fight. Known as a decision specialist with 24 decision victories, he seems to have gone for a KO in this one. Slow start for Goodman but he took control right after the first round. Sodergren was so close to survive the barrage but Goodman was relentless to finish the match in the third. Goodman gets away with a KO win, his first KO in his past 18 matches. Result: Saul Goodman retains Middleweight Title via 3rd round TKO CEC 600 Featherweight bout Pako Laine vs De Bruyne In a star studded event in CEC 600, De Bruyne represented GAMMA in a duel of veterans. Former top 27 fighter Pako Laine faced former top 26 De Bruyne. It was expected to be a very competitive match given the skills of both fighters. They didn’t fail to give us a good show. Both fighters threw around 200 strikes each but De Bruyne was more efficient. Great showdown, great technique. However, it was De Bruyne that displayed more in this one. He gets the nod of 2 judges, the other giving them a draw. With that win, De Bruyne moves back in the top 100 as he looks to go back to GAMMA or look for another org to compete in the latter years of his career. Result: De Bruyne wins via Majority Decision

  32. GAMMA: June Part 2 by James Isaac Abraham GAMMA#716 Featherweight bout Karol Mirowski vs Farboleus Ricard For the co-main event of the night, we witnessed a possible contender spot at the 145 belt. The current 135 lbs champion Mirowski is on his way back to the 145 lbs title after losing it to the current champ Gareth Keenan (who by the way became a free agent after his manager’s retirement). The match was a tightly contested one as both fighters have shown versatility in striking. Ricard was a bit more accurate but Mirowski had more strikes landed. Despite having 5 successful takedowns, Ricard was not able to capitalize with striking nor sub attempts given that Mirowski has excellent ground defense. Most of the takedowns came in the later parts of the round and some of which resulted in a referee standup. This would’ve gone another way but 2 of 3 judges chose Mirowski. Great match! Result: Mirowski wins via Split Decision Middleweight Superfight Saul Goodman vs Russel Tyrone Jones Two of the top 3 middleweights clash in another episode of Synchronicity vs GAMMA superfights. In a battle of two champions, one shall prevail and Jones got it this time. The match was full of close rounds, with a very close scorecard most of the time. It was very difficult to decide given that both fighters had great striking and both fighters were also aggressive. With more than 200 strikes for each competitor, the whole crowd was on fire! Jones had significantly more body punches but Goodman capitalized on leg striking. Despite the close rounds, a winner shall be chosen and the judges have selected Syn’s representative Jones with a win. Sadly, the departure of Mr. David Brent resulted to the release of Saul Goodman. Hopefully the next manager keeps him in GAMMA and remains competitive until the end of his career. With this, Jones moves to the top 3 in P4P rankings while Goodman slides a bit to rank 19. I’d like to see another clash of these two soon. Result: Jones wins via Unanimous Decision GAMMA#717 Lightweight Title Jeff Gower vs Randy Springs The new guy Jeff Gower has taken over! Right after his arrival in GAMMA he has dominated the division since! The main event featured a rematch between former long running champ Randy Springs and the recently crowned Jeff Gower. It’s surprising that this match was no close call at all. Randy Springs usually gets to outmatch and outclass his opponents but in this one, Gower did. The closely contested round 1 went to the former champ Springs but the rest of the match was all Gower. Striking was no far matchup but Gower’s clinch game was monstrous. Gower dominated the match with his clinchwork, not allowing Springs to capitalize. From round 2 until the end, Gower owned the match and earned the well deserved decision win. Gower now solidifies his claim to the throne, with his rival Randy Springs becoming a free agent, no one knows who will be the rival or will Gower be dethroned by Partio soon. Let’s see how the division goes. Result: Gower retains Lightweight Title via Unanimous Decision

Those 2 are some of the best 310k WW in the game and I was really looking forward to fighting TJ. Could we please rebook us for one of the 2 events you have coming up? Chris Steve: Let me BANG BROS !!!!

  35. May Part 1 by James Isaac Abraham GAMMA#705 Lightweight Title Randy Springs vs Ray Malenko Two world class lightweights met each other for the first time in their careers. Before entering the match, both fighters were on a dominant win streak, Springs with 5 and Malenko with 6. This was a well earned title shot for the challenger Malenko, who when reunited his former manager Bobby Heyman rose the ranks in GAMMA Contenders and a 3 fight win streak in GAMMA before facing the defending champ Randy Springs. The match was dominated by the champion. All throughout the 5 rounds, Springs was his usual self. Efficient striking, excellent defense and overall technique. Malenko did his best to bring it to the ground where he had a better chance but Springs knew that and prevented it from happening. Near the end of the 5th round, Malenko desperately tried to end it with a submission but still no good. Springs gets away with the scorecards. Springs has been unstoppable since being acquired by manager David Brent. His only losses were only to Matthew Ridgeway who he then defeated in GAMMA#696 to reclaim the throne. His current run stands at 13-2 since January 2017 and currently ranked 1 in lightweights and 6 P4P. Winner: Randy Springs retains Lightweight Title via Unanimous Decision GAMMA#706 Featherweight Title Gareth Keenan vs Karol Mirowski In the third outing of this new found rivalry between Keenan and Mirowski, each fighter sought out to get the win over the other as they have each scored a match in their last 2 encounters. Both entering the match as top 5 featherweights, a good match was expected indeed. This time, the story was different. Keenan was more aggressive while Mirowski was more of the defensive. Mirowski patiently waited for a big opening but Keenan took advantage of that gameplan. Keenan landed around 150 strikes while Mirowski had only around 20. He was very accurate with his striking making sure that he keeps control of the standup game. The strategy paid off as he circled Mirowski with various strikes to get the judge’s nod all 5 rounds. This win keeps Keenan atop the featherweight rankings and back into the top 10 P4P while Mirowski slides out of the top 100. Losing 4 of his past 7 matches, Mirowski will need to get back in rhythm if he wants to get a shot again. Winner: Gareth Keenan retains Featherweight Title via Unanimous Decision GAMMA#707 Super Heavyweight bout Hennan Hoyce vs Callum Pagnozzi Entering the match as an underdog, Pagnozzi defeated the odds. Hoyce, ranked 30 P4P was en route to another KO win with his 100% KO win record. Pagnozzi displayed great accuracy and defense partnered with his granite chin brought him into a favorable position, knocking the chin out of the older and former champ Hennan Hoyce. The big knockdown in the early minutes shook Hoyce’s composure and with 5 seconds left in the round, he just did not make the bell. Pagnozzi gets a significant boost in rankings and few steps closer to the belt. He’ll probably be in the title scene sooner or later. Hoyce is now 2-3 in his last 5 matches and needs to pick it up to get another shot soon. Winner: Callum Pagnozzi via 1st round TKO GAMMA#708 Lightweight Title Randy Springs vs Jeff Gower In just 2 weeks after successfully defending his title against Malenko, Springs steps up to once again defend his title for the third time. This time, he faces a former champ in Jeff Gower. Jeff Gower is no stranger in the championship scene given his success in Ascension and his long career in UGD. After losing the belt to Fook Man, he took his talents to GAMMA and gets a title shot in his GAMMA debut. With no surprise, it was a hell of a good match. At first glance you would’ve expected Springs to dominate in the match with his advantage in all disciplines but Gower surprised him. The match proceeded to be mainly a clinch showdown between both fighters. With more than 100 strikes thrown in the clinch, no fighter was backing down. In the end, it was a very close call to make and Gower went away with the W. Winner: Jeff Gower wins Lightweight Title via Split Decision Middleweight Title Saul Goodman vs Hector Verama The streaking Goodman with 8 straight wins faced the challenger Hector Verama with 4 straight wins, earning his spot at the title scene again. Verama’s fallen to Defoe twice in the 205 division and now moved down to 185 to eventually face the champ Goodman. Almost evenly matched in standup skills, it was indeed a great match and worthy of a main event. Both fighters traded blows with almost equivalent numbers and you wouldn’t who would win until the end of the bell. Nearing the end of the bell, Verama was on the verge of winning after scoring a big takedown. With his superior BJJ he could’ve submitted Goodman but the champ kept his guard and defended the subs successfully. After 5 great rounds, 3 judges had varying opinions with 47-48 48-48 and 48-47 giving the match a draw. Great match for both fighters. We can expect a rematch soon. Result: Draw. Goodman retains Middleweight Title.

  36. Mentor the former Peterhoft / New Proving Grounds stands as one of the only 310K orgs in the game. Are you sure merging it to your 290K org next month is a good move? The gap will be quite large no? And if so, perhaps you should include this little piece of information on the contracts you are sending to the managers (I know I got one for Steve and this was not indicated in the contract): Every month the ID of the 2nd and 3rd tier organizations increase but 3-5k, so within a few months the Proving grounds will be merged into the Rising Stars organization. We could reopen a new Proving grounds organization later though. I didn't even know GAMMA had a 3rd Tier org. Wouldn't it be best to put some hard work into Rising Stars the conventional way and grow it instead of absorbing a much needed 310K org ?

I can swim in the deep waters. I ain't no Lieutenant Dan! Although, after I'm done with you, you're gonna feel like he did on New Year's Eve man! Except your eyes will be closed and I will have broken your nose. It's all good though, we can hang out later and smash some hoes!

  41. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14712501784210.png Brandon Simmons Now that I know for sure that Gumption can actually write and read, I'm curious to see if he can fight! His last three fights took him a combined 6 minutes, so perhaps it is time to take the shrimp in deep water and see if he can swim with a big fish. Training camp has started with some red lobster and will end with one tiny shrimp! http://imagesvh1-a.akamaihd.net/uri/mgid:file:http:shared:vh1.com/news/uploads/sites/2/2016/11/Martha-Feeding-Rick-1479163756.gif

  44. I can't remember how to format posts for my fighter in Firefox. I'll just quote for my fighter Bubba Gumption after his third first round KO. "If that guy (whatever his name is) wants to eat some shrimp, let him come to me. I've got plenty and he's already a fatass. I'm eating lobster now, so he's behind the game, but my nutritionist ensures me that my lobster game is better than it used to be.I accepted the fight before it was even made, because nobody is at my grade. Nothing and no man can talk to Bubba that way unless you eat the shrimp and make me your filet. Then it's OK, because I will come back to beat you anyway. There is no risk for me, you're a slave to my SHRIMPY!!"

  45. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14712501784210.png Brandon Simmons And that's the end of the fight! Brandon Simmons showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Simmons, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards. Ladies and gentlemen, after 3 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision. Judge Richard Clark scores the fight 30:27 Judge Colin Fotheringham scores the fight 30:27 Judge James Glass scores the fight 30:27 In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Brandon Simmons! A determined Brandon Simmons didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it! http://i.perezhilton.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/rick-ross.gif Two options next : 1) Fight the winner of Hoyce vs Gumption next for Gamma-gold and world dominance. or 2) Fight Mentor himself in an 'anything-goes' bare-knuckle fight to the death.
