  1. I would not be opposed to some adspace on here honestly. As long as it is not throwing popups in my face and so on.

  2. There are ads on the site - you guys just don't see them cos you're VIP Ads generally aren't a great source of income in their traditional form because so many people have ad blockers. It brings in about $800 a year for this site from the non-VIPs. In terms of alternative sources of income, I really hope that some of you guys will download Brave browser (use this link and I get $5 up front). I genuinely believe that will be a good source of income for the site over the coming years. Their model is that you will watch a couple of ads a day, then if you engage with the ad you get paid for your time. You can then keep that money or donate it to sites you like automatically based on the time you spend on each site. Given that people spend a lot of time on here per visit, I think it works really well for us. If you're earning $10 a month for watching a couple of ads a day then donate 20% of that to Tycoon, over a few hundred users, that's a very significant chunk of change. ($2 a month *12 months *200 people = $4800 a year). Given that the site only brings in about $20-25,000 a year that would be massive. N.B. if you don't want to watch ads, they also have a general tipping button like Patreon. The ads function is not all finished yet but the browser is Chromium based and basically you can do anything you would do in Chrome on Brave but it's quicker and more secure and they don't pass all your info and browsing history to Google like Chrome does. Intro to Brave & BAT from their Reddit And no offense taken, whoever said the interface is outdated, I know it is Anyone who's a designer is welcome to have a go at a new skin.... I mean GOOD though cos last time I asked we had some shocking submissions from people who clearly were not web designers

  3. Be fair, bro. It wasnt 2 or 3 fights ago. It was before your fight with Sao, that I told you that you would get a title fight. Before that, you were complaining about Dikoume getting a title shot. I told you he was up for a title shot at 185 and he asked if he went down to 170 could he get his shot, I told him yes. If you're going to try to sully my name, at least do it honestly. I told you your next fight is a title match. You know, blasting me in public only makes you look butthurt. I doubt you would find too many managers who have a problem with me keeping my word to them as far as getting fair fights and title matches go. If your fighters weren't given a review, it's most likely because they weren't headlining events. You said you looked back, you may have noticed after a certain time, only the top 3 fights of the event was preveiwed. Lastly, if you have an issue with me, it would be cool to come to me with the issue first, then if I don't rectify the problem, come and tell MMA Tycoon what an asshole I am.

  4. Since you want to be a Dickhead...lets bring our evidence out in the open: Hey bro 2019-01-11 10:44:50 You got your title fight. Is 1/26 too soon? The next date I would have would be for the second week in February. Hey bro 2019-01-11 10:46:56 Yeah, I see Mario still needs a week recovery. We will set it for the second week in February. 2019-01-11 11:24:33 Hey guys. We're off to a slow start, so far, this year. We were closing in on top 15 Worldwide, now back at 20. Seems I will have to strip another title holder, for inactivity. Actually same fighter, different manager. How does that happen. I'm hoping we can get back on track in February, moving back up the ladder. It's been a hell of a ride, so far. But, let's keep on truckin. Re: Re: Re: Re: Hey bro 2019-01-13 19:14:41 Yeah, of course he earned it. It was more of a rhetorical question. I was wondering when. I was thinking 2nd week in February. Now, I will admit, I did tell you that you would get a title shot before these correspondences. I told you after your fight with McNulty, then gave you the Alela fight after McNulty and Dikoume got the fight he asked for, before I told you that you would get the shot. Which meant you would fight the winner between Tiago and Marcel. Furthermore, I don't give two shits how you feel about me giving Marcel the shot before Mario. I gave my word and I kept it. Keep on being butthurt about it...I don't give a rat's ass. You kind of make me wish I never accepted your fighter into the league. I mean, I did break restriction to let your fighters in, because of how you said you were being treated in your other org. Makes me wonder if you were being treated poorly over there at all...or were you just butthurt over something that happened over there as well? 9. So, I posted this in a off topic discussion and started to think...I like this idea, so here it is in the proper place. Fight bot option for gyms (similar to sauna use): The gym pays a 1x fee to provide fight bots to the members of their gym and each use of this cost a fight X amount of dollars Fight bots can be selected to represent the 4 different fight styles (select based on the type of poignant you will be facing) No money gained, no hype or pop gain/loss and no tott determined. Also would not count toward win/loss record This could be a fun feature for all levels of managers and make fight planning more interesting and it would also help newer managers learn how to set sliders. Could also allow for how difficult a fight bot you wish to face (total skill points maybe?)

  15. PM me on this topic and I'll go into more detail on that question. I think that that would be a tad off topic and long winded for this thread. For the record I do not think you are/were being an asshole, or anything like that. You probably just didn't think of it from the org perspective and said to yourself, "Hey, this guy sucks" or whatever and so cut him lose. But I can go into more detail on my thoughts on how this should have been handled and even what I think will happen now. It's part of the reason that I do not tend to mess with FAs.

  16. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1547587679initiation%20III%20final.jpg Top of the bill in London this weekend is the pairing of Goglin and King. Monte "The Count" Goglin Bruce King Record 4-0-1 (W-L-D) Record 1-2-0 (W-L-D http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42a3.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24w14.jpg Straight USA V England for the top of the bill wih the American Goglin the more experienced and undefeated fighter with 4 wins and one draw to his name. Goglin has three wins by TKO and one decision in his career to date. He is known as a punch sponge and has serious capacity to take hits and has elbows like razor blades if he can get to use them in his fights. In his last fight he took a bashing form his opponent and stayed standing till the end and eked out a draw. He had a tendency to fight in the clinch when he can to make good use of his elbows when he is in tight so King may need to stay back a bit to dodge Goglin’s elbows. I wonder can King’s heavy hands negate Goglins granite chin on Saturday?? King is the less experienced fighter here and has two defeats and one victory to his name, coming by way of TKO. King is behind Goglin MT and wrestling with only boxing the area that he excels at compared to Goglin. The only hope King has is to keep Goglin standing and land a sucker punch while keeping out of the clinch at the same time. Verdict has to go to Goglin on this one Jugger Naut John "Blacky" Smith Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D) Debut Fight http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1b11.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b17.jpg Jugger has two wins to his name since joining the JAG stable and both have been by submission and a decision. On paper Smith is the better at MT and Naut better at wrestling and both fighters even across the board other than this. Smith is an unknown quantity as he is stepping into the cage for the first time professionally. Naut is a brawler with a granite chin and knows both how to take punishment and to give it! To date Naut has preferred to brawl in either a clinch on the deck rather than standing up and given his advantage in wrestling over Smith I would expect more of the same on Saturday. Smith is going to have to try to avoid being under Naut on Saturday night in the cage to have a chance to claim his first professional scalp. Kinda think this could be a debut win for the JAG Rookie, Chistopher "The Viper" Hammer Henry "Baddest Man On Space" Mioci Record 7-3-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/43/43b11.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15435020633411.jpg Viper is a JAG debutante by has plenty of experience to date with ten fights and seven wins he is known as a brawler and has a chin of stone to boot. Mioci is quick as lightning and had great MT and the ability to take any man down easily so Hammers granite chin might not get touched on Saturday! Mioci’s only win to date has been by submission when he charged into his opponent and ended the fight with only 39 seconds gone in round one! BOth these fighters are fairly evenly matched other than in MT where Mioci is miles ahead of the Viper, this might be interesting as both fighters enjoy clinching and takedowns but neither fighter to date has shown much interest in staying standing in the clinch, will Mioci keep the fighters standing and see if he can wear down the Viper or will the Viper clinch get to the floor and try to win by way of submission. I would have to favour the Viper slightly in this one due to his greater experience. Best of luck to all the fighters and managers taking part at the weekend. 20. Hi all. Just a quick update on the fight schedule. Going to take an extra week in between the first group stage and the second group stage just to give us organisers enough time to sort everything out with new groups draws and fight offers etc. Will probably do it in between the second round and knockout stages too. The extra week also gives us more of a chance of everyone getting over any injuries/cuts as well as a little extra training time which I'm sure no one would object too? Also, betting odds are up for the next round of fights if anyone is interested in that. I will keep them going until the end

  21. I agree with Gonzasco The double champ thing over complicates things and lets be honest it has become a circus fight more than anything tangible in the real world I also think if the rules didn't say that at the start of this game, it is a bit harsh to bring them in now. I would suggest in future comps though this whole double champ deal is binned Just my 2 cents

  22. tl;dr Either we define "valid reason" very differently, or we're not having the same conversation. See, what I hear is "you can't drop your fighter because he belongs to my org." That's not rude? Sometimes it has nothing to do with you or your org. Your suggestion is that the manager should first ask you to release the fighter from his contract so he can then drop the fighter; you've indicated you would hold the fighter hostage until the manager sent the signing bonus back. They aren't asking to void the contract and sign elsewhere: they're dropping them to free agency. You still have the fighter under contract, and if they're the kind of fighter you might have a valid reason to be upset over losing (or losing their signing bonus), someone's probably gonna pick 'em up as a free agent. You're asking someone else to play the game for your benefit, not their enjoyment: how is that not rude? Like I said, if (for example) they just signed their first contract with you and have only fought once (as is/was the case with the OP), that's rude; if they've already fought a couple times for your org and they just want to drop the guy, that's not rude: that's the game.

  23. Group D Weekly Round Up – Opening Round 1.1 (19th Jan 2019) Roar Dinosuar Jr v Alan Odrobny (Dinosuar Jr def. Odrobny by Sub, 03:48 Rd 1) Second seed Roar Dinosuar provided little surprise with a submission win over Polish brawler Alan Odrobny in the first round. It wasn’t entirely straight forward however as Odrobny was able to get a little offence in of his own in the clinch and even opening up a cut on Dinosuar Jr’s face before being taken down. Roar Dinosuar Jr will now meet Heitor Machado in what could be an extremely tough fight against a superior jiu-jitsu fighter. Alan Odrobny faces Johannes Boe and that one should also be a very tough fight Heitor Machado v Bubba Sparxxx (Machado def. SparXXX by Sub, 03:55 Rd 1) Heitor Machado was one of the only seeded fighters not predicted a top three spot come the end of this opening round but he managed to get of to a winning start against predicted struggler Bubba Sparxxx. Sparxx threw with power but was unable to land much on the feet before Machado predictably hit the take down and found the submission finish. Machado will now go into what is likely to be an extremely important clash for Group D’s overall standings as he meets predicted group winner Dinosuar Jr. Machado is slightly favoured in this fight For Sparxxx, he meets Marcus St Stone and while he will be fresh for the fight, St Stone will be nursing a fairly significant cut that might boost Sparxxx confidence from the start Marcus St Stone v Prince Thick (Thick def. St Stone by TKO, 01:15 Rd 1) Prince Thick took a step towards living up his distinction of being the only non-seeded fighter to finish in a top three spot with a competent display of striking against Marcus St Stone. St Stone pressed for the clinch throughout the short fight but it was in the end his undoing as Thick was able to beat him to the punch inside and picked up the TKO win in a little over a minute of the first round. Thick now meets Daniel Bradshaw in next weeks fight and that will be definitely be an interesting one while disaster for Marcus St Stone who goes into a tough fight against Bubba Sparxxx with a nasty cut that will not have a chance to heal Daniel Bradshaw v Johannes Boe (Bradshaw def. Boe by Dec) Johannes Boe was expected to triumph in his opening round fight but it was Daniel Bradshaw who managed to pick up the win after a three round clinch fest was ruled in his favour. Bradshaw now moves into the 4th spot in the group with 2 Points and will face off against Prince Thick in next weeks bout. Johannes Boe faces a tough match up against brawler Alan Odrobny and that will be made even harder with a niggling injury that he will carry into it.

  25. gyms are so generic. boring. elite coaches. nothing but. why even have skill levels for coaches at this point? is there a such a thing as a proficient, strong coach in the game? I don't think mikes vision for gyms ever materialized. i think that gyms were broken/out of adjustment from the get go and it's just more than he could ever do to fix them. Or the real reason being it's more than the community would ever have allowed him to do. the community would not allow him to fix private gyms and money laundering. the old days were like the wild wild west and the gangsters ran the town. but gyms would be so much more dynamic if retired fighters were hired to be the coaches at gyms. this game has been around for plenty long enough to have a really strong database of retired fighters for hire to be coaches. the beauty of retired fighters being coaches is the "hidden" impact. retired fighters possess authentic fighter skill sets cultivated organically from actually being apart of the game. not just a generic 150 elite and useless everywhere else coach. But the gem here is they have unknown hidden attributes that could be utilized and add a whole other level to gym ownership and training. if coaches could pass on their hidden attributes through training....even if for a short term boost just how dynamic could training fighters become at that point? especially since hiddens are guesswork to begin with. gym selection would be important coach selection would be critical gym management would become fluid and dynamic vs boring and stagnant

  26. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1546294449JBL%2013.jpg Hard Knocks arena in London is the location to be this weekend with the 145lbs title up for grabs with current champ Point being called out by the pretender to the throne Bagueirau. Point has held onto this title since he won it way back in October and has successfully defended his title on two occasions since, can Baguerau wrestle (literally!) the belt from Points hands???? Brayden Point Sildosoves "Throne" Bagueirau Record 8-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15322662702091.jpeg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15358835707854.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg On paper Point has the advantage in this fight when it comes to Boxing, MT and Wrestling and Bagueirau only holding his own when it comes to BJJ. Point is undefeated in eight fights to date and has won by a variety of means with his last victory by way of a KO by punch other than that he has won twice by submission and the rest by either TKO or KO. In Points last title fight he was deadly accurate and landed every single punch he threw although the fight was over that quick he didn’t have to throw that many in the end - only nine punches to KO Peralta with a fantastic uppercut being the icing on the cake that put Peralta on the floor. Bagueirau will have to soak up some punishment to win this one on Saturday! However given his superior wrestling talent Point might mix it up a bit and fight on the floor.. But I think he enjoys smashing people too much to do that! Bagueirau is a tough cookie and has five wins with only one defeat in his career to date, all of Bagueirau’s wins to date have been by submission with his one defeat by way of decision after going the full 3 rounds, he is a powerful fighter and had to take a lot of punishment from Top in that fight when losing as Top threw a lot of kicks at Bagueirau and landed over 50 on him and he stayed standing so his ability to take damage might be useful on Saturday. All Bagueirau’s previous wins have been quick ones too with none lasting past the first round so don’t expect him to sit back and wait for things to happen. I expect him to let Point throw a couple of punches then counter and use his BJJ to finish the fight! Should be a good fight but have to favour the current champ Point to come out on top! (sorry Winger ). Arnoldas Sireika Charlie Hickings Record 9-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-3-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14060592457708.jpg Sireika is a regular fighter with JAG and has been the middleweight champ for JAG previously when under a different manager so this is his debut for his new manager who will be hoping to make it ten wins on the trot. Sireika has great MT talent and has the capacity to knock people out cold but he is a bit lacking in BJJ whereas his opponent on Saturday has the better boxing and BJJ skills and will be trying to use this to his advantage. Sireika prefers standup fighting and is particularly fond of clinches and using his strikes when clinching and this has been his most successful manner of victory to date with six of his previous wins by way of TKO by Strike, so don’t expect him to want to do much fighting on the ground this weekend. Hickings has a chequered history since he went from being a full time football hooligan to professional MMA fighter with five wins to date but all of these wins were either KO’s or TKO’s with his defeats all coming to better ground fighters by way of submissions so he has a hard choice to make on Saturday… stay standing where he has had the most success or hit the ground where he is the better BJJ fighter… TOugh call for the manager to make but given Sireika history and pedigree he is the favorite to win this bout in my humble opinion. Jordan Bryant Dalton "MC" McConnell Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b27.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b2.jpg Bryant is the more experienced fighter on Saturday with seven wins from seven but McConnell whilst inexperienced has two wins from his two fights to date. McConnell has the better talent in Boxing and MT with Bryant showing much more flair in Wrestling and BJJ. All of Bryants, who is very powerful btw wins have been by either KO’s or TKO’s with one decision going his way other than that. He is a very good standup fighter and I just wonder with McConnell having the advantage in standup on paper will Bryant try to use his superior ground work skills to win this fight? The one thing about Bryant is that he is accurate with his fists and when he throws a punch more often than not they land, all his fights bar one have ended in the first rounds so this show’s how powerful a fighter he really is! MC’s two wins have been by TKO and decision and he is also a fighter that loves to throw punches and his last fight against Proudmore (who has a granite chin) was areal slugfest with McConnell throwing over 100 punches with nearly ⅔ of them landing on target and he still wasn’t able to put his opponent down and it went for him by way of decision. This could either be a toe to toe standup fight on Saturday or will Bryant use his superior ground skills to his advantage? Have to slightly favour Bryant on this one due to his greater experience. Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on Saturday and odds on all the fights will be availabe via my bookies if you fancy a flutter

  29. Well the way I was thinking was it being an option just like you can offer saunas...You click yes offer spar bots and then select the level (similar to coaches: Wonderful, Sensational, Elite) and you would pay a 1x fee of say $10K for elite and then if a fighter chooses to use the spar bot it would cost that fighter say $1k each session, so this way after 10 sessions of training from your gym members your upfront cost would be covered. It would also be up to the gym manager what style of fight bot it would be: So an elite ground specialist or Elite standup...If he chooses ground then he would essentially have 0 standup skills but all ground skills...or he could choose an all around guy so boxing and BJJ or MT and Wrestling. Basically combine the option of doing a sauna and the method of selecting training coaches, just in a manner of a fight bot not a training coach. The goal here is to offer another option of fighters using their bank and less being laundered and more going to gym managers, especially since gyms are a necessity and one of the easiest options for newer managers and it would help these newer managers have another source of income into their gym rather than just gym fee's. Have a cap on how many fight bots a gym could have (4 maybe) and this would increase the need across all the gyms so that 1 gym can't offer like 12 of them and have a monopoly going. Plus, it would also provide a learning tool for managers who struggle with sliders to learn how setting them a certain way works in a fight without the negative of losing a fight.

  30. I was more thinking of retired fighters from ones own stable or something like that. Either that or just a list of Sparring partners that are available for hire and just like other fighters/free agents you take your chances with their hiddens. Or even more like what I was thinking is to hire sparring partners like coaches in a gym. that way they would not decline and so on. Being able to fully customize right down to the hiddens is unimportant and needlessly complicated in my opinion.

  31. Yeah it would certainly have to take up a training slot and yes I would say at least double if not triple the energy loss as a regular training session, since it is basically a fight...I would say no injuries only because of the fact if someone uses this feature and goes into a fight with even 1 day of injury due to that spar fight they would likely complain they lost because of that...However, I suppose if the max days of injury was set to say....3 or 6 you could essentially plan your spar fight session to align with the number of days before a fight to make sure you would be injury free...But, risk going into a fight if you take a chance of a spar fight a couple of days before a fight.
    1 point
  32. I like the basic concept. I am thinking that it should be more like a sparring session but with greater gains then normal sparring sessions, (but also with greater energy loss perhaps). This would also remove money from the game by giving fighters something else to spend money on (an often discussed topic). It should be no injury also or maybe (for a bit of added realism) it could still be possible to get some injuries. Maybe half the normal chance of injuries? A quarter? How often do we see fighters coming to fights with injuries in real life? Pretty often. This could introduce that possibility into the game, but the risk of injury could be worth it if the added training was higher then a regular spar session. You could "purchase" up to four of these guys for your gym and they would have a cost dependent upon their "star" rating in the giving Primary. and be limited to 3 or 4 fighters in that time slot (other than themselves). Just throwing some ideas out there to add to what you did.

  33. I usually pay people to do my renovations and handle my business myself. It’s just a matter of maximizing my time and working smart vs working hard. Looking good though, nice tiles. On topic I would rather you don’t raise the VIP, lots of people already have trouble paying it. Even though it’s minimal. Ever thought about selling the game? I know it won’t bring in the amount it would have 5 years ago but that’s life and we can’t live with the should have/ could have.

  34. LOL, what more do I have to say? I quoted your buddy saying you should get unranked pay from two years ago when this all first came up. The only argument you goobers got is that it was overlooked last year so it should be overlooked this year. We know masterleader totally shit the bed updating the league last year, so it's funny he's using his incompetence as his argument.

  36. “Now, I will admit, I did tell you that you would get a title shot before these correspondences. I told you after your fight with McNulty, then gave you the Alela fight after McNulty and Dikoume got the fight he asked for, before I told you that you would get the shot. Which meant you would fight the winner between Tiago and Marcel.” This being the salient piece of information out of all that, I’m pretty certain it was before McNulty but anyway. Like I said you gave me your word too, so why be giving your word to multiple managers? Wouldn’t have been an issue really if you hadn’t. And I’m not the only manager you “broke the rules for”.
