  1. Has anyone put their hand up to run the org? Maybe you could do it?
  2. For me, the two best and easiest options, if you're wanting to win quickly with 25 year olds (This is only for beginners looking to win early fights in QFC, or be successfully quickly in ID restricted orgs) and that is the Clinch Warrior or the Takedown Specialist Clinching is this game is completely unrealistic to real life but very effective to utilise in this game. If you create a clinch heavy fighter, with strength, he will feast on weaker 18 year olds and spreaders (fighters with their skills spread out) The Takedown Specialist has an early advantage against pretty much all Standup creations, as there isnt enough points to cover standup skills and grappling, sacrifices have to be made, and for standup fighters that is on the ground. NOTE: the below is only what has worked for me, I know of managers who are much more succesfull than me and do it different - Im not sure exactly how they do it but I know this works. Clinch Warrior Boxing - 110 Muay Thai - 1 Wrestling - 59 BJJ - 1 Skills: Punches - 110 Kicks - 1 Standing Elbows - 1 Knees - 1 Clinchwork - 110 Striking Defense - 110 Ground n Pound - 1 Takedown Offense - 1 Takedown Defense - 110 Submissions - 1 Defensive Grappling - 59 Transitions - 1 Escapes - 1 Physical Attributes: Agility - 60 Flexibility - 1 Speed - 50 Strength - 40 Conditioning (min 10) - 70 Balance - 39 Feel free to play around with the physicals. I start with not much strenght because that is very easy to improve in training. I'll train Strength until it gets to at least 60 before I take my first fight - strength is important in the clinch. The Con for this build is of course if they get taken down by a submission fighter. I would also not recommend clinching with BJJ guys as they often are able to pullguard from clinch to get the fight to the ground. In this case you gameplan to keep the fight on the feet where your fighter will have the advantage. TakeDown Specialist Boxing - 1 Muay Thai - 1 Wrestling - 100 BJJ - 79 Skills: Punches - 1 Kicks - 1 Standing Elbows - 1 Knees - 1 Clinchwork - 60 Striking Defense - 60 Ground n Pound - 1 Takedown Offense - 110 Takedown Defense - 1 Submissions - 110 Defensive Grappling - 70 Transitions - 70 Escapes - 1 Physical Attributes: Agility - 40 Flexibility - 39 Speed - 60 Strength - 40 Conditioning (min 10) - 60 Balance - 30 I'll play around and toggle between Subs and GNP - personal preference really, the main thing is having strong takedowns - although i do like to have a strong Sub game for times where my fighter has to pullguard. With physicals its important to have speed for takedowns, sometimes i'll go with less flexibility and add it to speed. I'll train strength up to at least 50-60 before taking first fight, and continue to train it alongside cardio. You'll want to be very aggressive with this fighter, getting the takedown before he gets punched in the face. I'll set take downs sliders somehwere between 50-80% aggression. The rest of the time you want him trying to clinch. In the clinch be aggressive looking for takedowns mainly, but some pulling guard is good too, you just want the fight on the ground. The Con with this build is coming up against a pure BJJ specialist, which is rare but sometimes does happen. My numbers may be off a little but you get the idea. I've had plenty of these guys (particular grapplers) win titles in restricted orgs. Depending on what you want to achieve, you may just use these guys to win some QFC fights to boost your manager ranking - which will allow you a better opportunity to pick up Free Agents. - Note: I think you can only win 4 QFC fights before the fighter is thrown to the harder level 2 QFC fights - this is where you can cut your fighter and do it all over again with a new one. I will put the caveat out there that I am by no means an expert at MMA Tycoon - happy for the seasoned vets to correct/add more to this. I do feel i have this early part of the game relatively figured out and has worked well for me in the past. I also just wanted to share a few quick tips for beginners as it is very hard starting early on. Hope this helps
  3. That's a fair enough opinion, but I believe that it is up to each org owner to determine wether they believe it diminishes the value of the awards or not. Personally, i wouldn't choose to use multiple awards at every event, but in certain ones I would like to give more than 1 KO award for instance. But as i,said before, for me it's more important to be able to give a performance award, as I've found myself wanting to give one at almost all of my events. And I've actually been giving them out by sending the manager a re-neg offer with the performance bonus from the fight added to the signing bonus. Of course, it would be much easier to be able to do this as a normal award bonus
  4. I think all awards could be given multiple times a night, like you said it's the org owners money should be their discretion but i'd happily just take a performance award multiple times tbh. I suppose you could jusgt call them KO bonus, Performance Bonus etc, instead of " Of the night" if the wording is throwing you off
  5. Suggestion: Allow more awards to be handed out post events Suggestions Description: I'd love to be able to hand out more awards after an event. The Sub of the night is obviously no good to me being a KT org, so i'm limited to just a KO and fight of the night. In particular i'd love a Performance of the Night award to be able to hand out, and maybe even the option to hand out multiple KO awards Pros: Fighters get rewarded for putting on a great/dominant performance (performance award)- not just KO's getting rewarded More fighters getting rewarded for KO's/great performances Cons: I dont make as much profit 😀
  6. In game clinch is definitely not realistic to real life and I agree that knees and elbows should be much more effective in the clinch than punches - which is the case in real life. Its pretty rare these days to see someone manhandle their opponent in the clinch and get repeated powerful punches off. There probably needs to be a damage meter in the clinch section of the sliders. And if your fighter is set to high damage then they are more likely to do powerful punches, but that should come with the risk of you opponent being able to break the clinch easier. Currently its too easy to stay in the clinch and throw damaging punches.
  7. That would depend on their learning speed. Testing your fighters learning speed is critical no knowing wether you will keep them or cut them
  8. I've been searching for some info on what the optimal Advertising and Production spend is for events but havn't had a great deal of luck. Saw an old post saying $3 x amount of seats in the arena - can anyone confirm this? I think there's a formula for advertising but I havnt been able to work it out. There was also a spreadsheet floating around but I couldnt work that out either. Can anyone shed any light?
  9. Yeah a robbery is one thing, but the game was saying (End of round commentary) that my guy was dominating haha. Is that normally what happens in tycoon robberies? Does the commentary agree with the judges, even when they are completely wrong?
  10. Ive got the same thing happening but the fights are still being booked as normal which is good
  11. But thinking about it, it cant be a robbery because even the commentators thought my guy was winning the fight comfortably. So im thinking the game was definitely rewarding him for something - which can only really be clinch defence i think? Strange one
  12. My guy won haha Yeah straight up robbery unless the game rewards defending clinch attempts and strikes? It shoudnt, as it doesnt in real life but maybe the game does reward defence?
  13. https://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=1150529 Check this one out - my guy landed 0 shots, didnt atttempt any TD's or clinches - he also absorbed 6 strikes from the opponent - and somehow won this fight haha I think the judges we're favouring the org owner here He either got rewarded for defending the opponents clinch attempts (It shouldnt be rewarded but maybe the game does reward it?) or just a straight up robbery
  14. Suggestion: Fix KT lack of hype problem Suggestions Description: Enable KT hype to get high enough to be able to have PPV's. I get that IRL MT/Kickboxing doesn't attract the same audience MMA does, but there's no reason grappling (in game) should be getting more hype than KT! Pros: Keeps KT a viable option for KT managers and org owners. A strong KT scene could potentially help with new user retention. KT is a little easier to manage if you're new to the game, not as daunting perhaps. Good option for older fighters, who are done with MMA (sparbots), to have some fights before retirement - especially if we make KT have less energy/injury use than MMA fights. Cons: I've heard people argue that IRL KT fighters/orgs don't generate as much financially as MMA does - which is true for the most part - but neither does grappling. Not asking for KT to be as hyped as MMA but dont see why it cant be at least on par with Tycoon grappling.
  15. Suggestion: Separating KT and MMA records on Managers Profile Suggestions Description: Currently KT wins and losses are combined with a managers MMA record in their profile. Can we keep KT records separate, just as they are in the Fighters profile and just as Grappling record is separated in managers profile. Pros: More managers getting involved in KT, as the combining of records put a lot of them off. Obviously KT should be separate as it isn't MMA, so doesn't make sense to combine with MMA record. Cons: Would KT fights still count towards a managers overall rank? Do grappling matches affect managers rank?
