GAMMA#659 Defoe v Grigol – September 2

205 superfight - Menace Defoe (GAMMA) Vs Grigol Pandahammer (Synchronicity)

Two of the greatest light heavyweight forces collided in a superfight for the ages as the Gamma and Synchronicity light heavyweight champions go one on one in the octagon. Two of the greatest organizations in the world may compete directly against one another but they know good business when they see it. A superfight of a magnitude that could send shockwaves through the world of MMATycoon can only be good for business and thus this superfight was made possible. One of these elite fighters will immediately be catapulted to the global number one spot in the light heavyweight division and bring with him the bragging rights of defeating the number one light heavyweight from a rival organization.

Menace Defoe looked better than ever in his last fight as he proved once more that there is no quit in the Gamma menace. After going through hell and back to regain his title against Divock Origi, he struggled against the dominant force of destruction that is Hector Verama but a comeback that set the place ablaze helped him retain his title. His latest fight saw the resurgence of the Menace Defoe of old, a machine gun of a striker. An armada of lethal strikes bombarding his foe until he was the only man left standing. Never does he back down from a challenge, he faces anyone who dares to oppose him with his head held high and when he’s facing an obstacle higher than he expected and is backed into a corner he is more dangerous than ever, as surrender is never an option for Menace Defoe. He’s a fighter, strong and brave with a never yielding fighting style, a never say die attitude and with the support of the Gamma crowd fully behind him it was his fight to lose.

Grigol Pandahammer is a bear of a man, like his opponent he loves to strike with vigor and doesn’t back down from a challenge but the difference lies in the details. While Menace Defoe is constantly hunting for a finish, Grigol Pandahammer loves to overwhelm his opponents with an abundance of strikes. He will not rush the finish, he methodically breaks down his opponents with series of punishing blows and snapping kicks and should an opportunity arise he will finish them off but he won’t risk going for the finish if there is still some potential danger ahead. This Georgian bully will make you feel the pain and torment you until the fighting spirit leaves your body before he mercifully ends the fight. In his last couple of fights - that saw him facing the likes of Evil Nixon and the legendary Sotiris Kakoullis - he continued to walk the fine line between his bold in your face style and reckless abandon as he was pushed to the limit by these world class strikers. The question on everybody’s lips remained, would the Georgian sensation be able to keep his cool when he’s being pressured by a fighting machine like Menace Defoe with global light heavyweight domination on the line, in this emotional pressure cooker of a superfight?

The bell rang and Menace Defoe immediately told his opponent what’s up, landing a leg kick with such tremendous force it buckled Grigol’s knee. Menace Defoe followed it up with a brutal body kick right to the ribs and Grigol Pandahammer was more than happy to exchange pleasantries as he planted two thudding kicks right into Defoe’s body. Pleasantries exchanged, these light heavyweight warriors went right to work. The first round saw Menace Defoe dominating with clobbering blows and a perfectly executed combination that sliced open a cut across Pandahammer’s forehead. Gamma’s Menace Defoe took the early lead with his reckless tactics as he was swinging for the fences from the get-go and struck home with a lacerating combination but his recklessness was also part of why he started fading away from the second round on. The reckless swings frequently missed their target and Grigol Pandahammer more than took advantage of his opponent’s lack of caution as he started gaining momentum with a plethora of snapping punches and slapping kicks that struck with near-perfect accuracy. The cut Grigol Pandahammer suffered in the first round proved irrelevant for the rest of the fight as Menace Defoe didn’t pursue it thoroughly and Grigol Pandahammer’s cut man did a wonderful job in keeping the cut from getting any worse in between rounds.

Grigol Pandahammer’s focus rested solely on scoring points and keeping the cut from getting any worse and he did so by keeping a steady pace. Things were looking up for Synchronicity’s light heavyweight champion. Menace Defoe however was unimpressed and when he felt the tides were changing, he broke up the pace by closing the distance. The clinch game and the constant assaults on Pandahammer’s life proved a game changer for Gamma’s light heavyweight champion as Menace Defoe started gaining momentum in the final rounds and ended up getting his hands raised at the end of the fifth and final round.

Winner: Menace Defoe by unanimous decision.

GAMMA#660 Goodman v Obama (884464) – September 9

155 title - Cullen Castrello © Vs Randy Springs

"The Great White" Cullen Castrello has swum his way up to the top of the food chain in the lightweight division and like a shark on the prowl he is already looking for his next meal. As was the case in his last fight, Castrello had a significant height advantage and it was interesting to see if that advantage would once again be a big factor come fight night. Indian superstar Randy Springs took out two former Gamma champions in his last couple of fights and now he looked ready for the real deal as he entered his first Gamma championship fight, riding an impressive six fight winning streak.

This was indeed the spectacle the fans expected it to be as both Gamma warriors went toe to toe in a slugfest. Technique went right out of the window as this turned out to be a dirty grinding street fight of a brawl. From a distance they bombarded each other with cannonballs of punches and kicks like bullets fired from a shotgun. From a distance neither was able to gain the advantage and thus the champion closed the distance and got subsequently caught with his pants down as the challenger more than rose up to the challenge.

Winner: Randy Springs by unanimous decision.

185 title - Saul Goodman © Vs Russian Obama

Saul "Slip The Jab" Goodman had just successfully dispatched KnockOut FC graduate Bruce "B A M F" Diehard but another KnockOut FC graduate had already taken his spot. Former openweight champion in the famous KnockOut FC organization, Russian Obama made his promotional debut and what a chance he had to make it a great one. Facing an unfamiliar foe in unfamiliar territory gave him a chance to perform in the underdog position but sometimes being the underdog can take the pressure of your shoulders, it can allow you to spread your wings and fly higher than you’ve ever gone before. Was that the case in this fight though? Read on and find out …

The battle for the coveted Gamma middleweight title took off with a tentative exchange but the action changed gears in the blink of an eye. Fists and kicks were flying about as the champion tried to establish his dominance from the get-go while the challenger refused to back down in his promotional debut. Both competitors were headstrong in their resolve to walk away with the title and in a tit for tat battle of attrition, only one man got to walk away the victor.

Winner: Russian Obama by split decision.

GAMMA#661 Keenan v Citizen (884465) – September 9

170 title - Ilya Mstislav Volkov © Vs Musta Laine

Ilya Mstislav Volkov took Tim Pierno to school in his first defense since regaining the welterweight title. The Russian kickboxing bulldozer steamrolled right over poor Pierno and he made the message clear that he would do the same to any who would dare stand in his way. New arrival to Gamma’s main event scene Musta Laine was the one to rise above his peers and answered the champion’s open challenge with gusto as he was sporting a three fight winning streak.

Both parties came to play as they started swinging wildly from the get-go. Ilya Mstislav Volkov was hell-bent on keeping the streak alive and he didn’t go back to his corner empty-handed as the crowd had come alive, roaring with excitement from the action they had just seen. But after the opening round it was the challenger who started coming alive. Strike after dangerous strike, exchange after exchange, Musta Laine was slowly gaining the upper hand and the champion did not like it so he put his wits to work. A clever plan developed in the mind of the sly fox named Ilya Mstislav Volkov. The champion looked to break the pace with fast clinch attempts, slipping in and out of danger faster than the speed of light as he clearly respected the notorious ground game of the challenger. Musta Laine didn’t really get to put his ground game to work but when he did get the champion on his backside he put an exclamation point behind the round, telling the fans and the judges straight up that he won the round.

Winner: Musta Lain by unanimous decision.

145 title - Gareth Keenan © Vs Nico World Citizen

Gareth Keenan "Investigates" put his sleuth skills to work in his last fight, he found the clues, cracked the case and found the path to victory against Lukasz Wolek. Now the newly crowned and still undefeated champion faced another former champion in Nico World Citizen. A striking affair was expected as both champion and challenger are known for their elite kickboxing ability.

Gareth Keenan didn’t waste time and set the bar high as he pushed himself to the limit with a dire pace and kept it up until the final bell had rung. Nico World Citizen followed suit but he had a hard time climbing to the top of the mountain as Gareth Keenan defended his mountain with a seemingly bottomless barrel of strikes. The challenger used his clinch skills to elevate his chances of winning but the elusive champion proved a hard target and the multitude of failed clinch attempts eventually cost the challenger more than he had hoped to gain.

Winner: Gareth Keenan by unanimous decision.

September 2017 recap part 2

By Alika Webb

GAMMA#662 Bryant v Curry 2 – September 16

265+ title - Gerbert Bryant Vs Arthur Curry

Gamma’s force of destruction in the heavyweight and super heavyweight division - "President" Gerbert Bryant – is fresh off another dominant performance but there is no rest for the wicked as a familiar face awaited him. Arthur Curry blitzed through former heavyweight champion Joe Jordan in shocking display and was immediately rewarded with a rematch he had been looking forward to for months now. In their first encounter, Arthur Curry did a phenomenal job of mixing up his strikes to keep the champion guessing but Gerbert Bryant never backed down from the fight standing and on the ground he was as dominant as a great white shark in open water.

Arthur Curry knew that the diversity of his strikes was his biggest asset in their first fight and so he launched a whirlwind of dangerous punches and kicks. The surprise of the fight turned out to be the champion, who no longer fought against the wind as he did in their first encounter. Rather than stubbornly fighting the wind, he caught a gust of wind that blew him high into the sky. Flying on a summer breeze without a care in the world, he flew over the cage with his full-grown wings spread to show the world how far he has come. Dancing to the whistling tones of the howling wind, he escaped from the clutches of dangerous striker Arthur Curry while dishing out some damage of his own. The effortlessness that oozed out of the champion’s incredible display of avoiding Arthur Curry’s strikes was a beauty to behold. The incredible accuracy and power Gerbert Bryant retaliated with standing and the domination that once more took place on the ground was part of another clear message to the world that Gerbert Bryant truly is second to none.

Winner: Gerbert Bryant by KO (punch) after 1 minute and 59 seconds in the third round.

GAMMA#664 Defoe v Verama 2 – September 23

205 title - Menace Defoe © Vs Hector Verama

Hector Verama clawed his way back to a title shot after suffering a devastating loss against the champion himself - Menace Defoe – and considering the way their last fight went, his intentions of capturing the elusive light heavyweight title were crystal clear. What an amazing fight their first encounter was, an absolute classic come from behind victory from the champion as he was dominated by the challenger for four rounds before pulverizing the confident challenger in devastating fashion. Many claimed the champion was in trouble from start to finish and merely survived by sheer willpower while others saw merit in an alternative theory, that it was all a plot from the start for the champion to let Verama take the initiative while he set up his plan for a late finish. Was it a brilliant strategy on the champion’s part that allowed him to climax what looked like an absolute blast of a beat down into such a mind-blowing fairytale ending? Or did the champion escape by a hair’s breadth of being blown away by the sheer brute force of the steamroller that is Hector Verama? The rematch was set to answer the questions that still lingered on everyone’s mind after the first fight.

The rematch saw a clear change in strategy by the champion as he was more disciplined in his striking offence. No more wild swings were thrown by Menace Defoe as the champion took control early on with a more defensive approach. As was the case in their first fight, Hector Verama was the aggressor but his punches hit almost nothing but air and when the timing was right, Menace Defoe punished the challenger with clobbering blows that soon drew blood. The champion closed the distance and in the clinch they traded more evenly but even so the challenger knew he needed to finish the first round strong to even stand a chance of winning the round. Hector Verama desperately went for a takedown and managed to finish strong but he knew he barely made it out on top in the first round.

The second round started and the champion rushed the challenger to trade fists up close and personal. The bad taste of his poor performance clearly still weighing on his shoulders, it was clear he came into this fight with only vengeance in mind despite emerging victorious the first time around. Verama soon created some distance before changing his mind and closing the distance himself as the lethal accuracy combined with the devastation of Menace Defoe’s power strikes turned out to be a deadly combination that was simply too hard to overcome. In the clinch they proceeded to trade punches. Tossing technique out of the window, they slugged it out like two drunk bar crawlers settling their differences in a good old fashioned bar room brawl. The only things that mattered were the power in their punches and the toughness of their chin and in the second round … Verama’s chin gave out.

Winner: Menace Defoe by TKO (strikes) after 4 minutes and 18 seconds in the second round.

Syn 546 – Apex – September 29

145 superfight - Viktor Tsoi (Synchronicity) Vs Gareth Keenan (GAMMA)

In his youthful enthusiasm, Gamma featherweight champion and MMATycoon’s most tenacious detective Gareth Keenan took on a special case concerning global domination. His keen detective skills have sent him all over the world and his next clue took him to the beautiful city of angels, Los Angeles. Gareth Keenan has interrogated and overcome every suspect on his list so far but the next name on the list is the number one featherweight fighter in the world and Synchronicity’s featherweight champion Viktor "Tri-Gold" Tsoi. A man whose relentlessness, talent and superb technique in all aspects of mixed martial arts are notoriously known all across the globe. Will the sleuth put his detective skills to work and find a weakness in a seemingly flawless elite fighter?

Gareth Keenan is known for his cautious style, never going overboard in taking risks. He sets a steady pace with a tight combination of kicks and punches that keeps his opponents guessing and pressures his opponents all night long until their will to fight gives out. Viktor Tsoi on the other hand is a different kind of animal. A true student of the game, Viktor Tsoi has flawless technique to boot no matter where the fight takes place and he knows it. An incredible confidence in his own skill set opens the door to an aggressive style, he is not afraid to take some risks in gaining the upper hand. The story of the fight was the more experienced Viktor Tsoi taking the Gamma detective to school as Gareth Keenan was overwhelmed by the aggressive Synchronicity champion.

Winner: Viktor Tsoi by unanimous decision.

GAMMA#665 Laine v Shin – September 30

170 title - Musta Laine © Vs Lao Shin

In a seemingly classic striker Vs grappler encounter, champion Musta Laine used a particularly aggressive strategy in taking down the challenger and putting his fists to work in a vicious ground and pound campaign. Former multiple time champion Lao Shin on the other hand looked flustered in regaining his footing after an early takedown but kept himself in the race by going for submission after submission. The champion threw caution to the wind and it nearly cost him as some of those submissions were just a split-second away from being locked in but it was the chin of Lao Shin that gave out first under the duress of the champion’s pummeling ground and pound strikes.

Winner: Musta Laine by TKO (strikes) after 3 minutes and 57 seconds in the second round.

185 title - Russian Obama © Vs Matt Quin

Russian Obama had quite an eventful promotional debut as he defeated Saul Goodman for Gamma’s middleweight title. An incredible battle of attrition it was but far from a dominating performance for the newly crowned champion. To be truly recognized as the undisputed champion a breakthrough performance under the Gamma banner was required and so he needed to be tested once again. A former number one pound for pound fighter from title defenses past has been scratching and clawing his way back to the title scene and Matt Quin seemed ready to win his belt back. Would the blast from the past be back with a vengeance or would the newly arrived champion be dead set on staying seated on his freshly conquered throne? The stage was set for an action packed title fight to end the month on a high note.

From the start Matt Quin looked like he was fighting an uphill battle. The champion set a brutal pace, blasting Matt Quin with stiff kicks and pummeling punches that found their way home more often than not. Russian Obama dominated the stand-up and continued closing the distance the keep the challenger frustrated as Matt Quin proved not so successful in taking the fight to the ground where he can truly shine. The champion proved himself a true master of his craft as he kept the pressure on his foe until the final bell, he never gave him an inch from start to finish and left no room for doubt as he was crowned the undeniable victor this time around.

Winner: Russian Obama by unanimous decision.

October 2017 recap part 1

By Alika Webb

GAMMA#666 Curry v Gunnar 2 – October 8

155 title - Randy Springs © Vs Mathew Ridgeway

Randy Springs captured the lightweight title in his last outing, a hard-fought decision victory it was. Kickboxing specialist Randy Springs might not be known for his knockout power but his high intensity work ethic puts him amongst the top of his peers. He doesn’t slow down and he never backs down from a challenge. And a challenge he once again received as his first challenger was former professional kickboxer and former EVO mainstay, Mathew Ridgeway.

From the start it was clear that these two lightweight kickboxers share a similar style as high volumes of strikes were thrown in rapid succession. Randy Springs set a dire pace but Mathew Ridgeway did a great job of keeping up and then some. Mathew Ridgeway was clearly the more accurate fighter and he wonderfully kept the champion guessing by occasionally taking the fight to the clinch. The flustered champion soon found himself in a world of hurt but he kept going after the challenger and never showed signs of slowing down.

Winner: Mathew Ridgeway by majority decision.

Vacant 135 title - Cullen Castrello Vs Nico World Citizen

Cullen Castrello just lost his lightweight title against Randy Springs but his championship ambitions were higher than ever and thus he dropped not one, but two weight classes to vie for the vacant Gamma bantamweight title. His opponent was former bantamweight champion Nico World Citizen. Nico World Citizen unsuccessfully challenged featherweight kingpin Gareth Keenan so a win was a must for the former bantamweight champion.

Considering both men were desperate for a win as they both just suffered a title loss, it didn’t come as a surprise that they pulled out all the stops. Castrello started the fight by feigning a clinch and launching a rocket of an uppercut that could have decapitated his foe had it landed. The tone was set and it didn’t take long for Nico World Citizen to respond in kind. In round 3, Nico World Citizen landed a vicious combination that had Castrello on spaghetti legs but he fought through the pain and kept going strong until the final bell. A back and forth slugfest that spilled all over the cage from these two bantamweight warriors ended in a standing ovation from the crowd as they screamed for more.

Winner: Cullen Castrello by split decision.

UGD 80:Pulkkinen Vs Defoe – October 13

205 superfight - Pena Pulkkinen (Underground) Vs Menace Defoe (GAMMA)

A clash of titans shook the earth to its core. All life seemed to have departed from the ground beneath our feet as this fight had devastating consequences. These superhumans rampaged and thrashed about all over the globe, destroying everything in their path of carnage until they arrived at a deserted place of horror. A rock infested beach where all forms of life seemed to have vanished without a trace, leaving only these larger than life freaks of nature breathing in the toxic atmosphere carried by the icy winds that tormented the seas. The waves ever-growing until they clashed against the immovable rocks that signaled land, erupting like massive volcanoes of freezing water.

In this unforgiving desolate place, two figures stood out like a sore thumb. They watched each other from a distance, exhausted from their tug of war of global magnitude. Their struggle dwarfed any fight before it and regardless of the consequences, a winner had to be crowned. They had gone too far and sacrificed too much to even consider backing down from the fight and they knew it.

Menace Defoe prepared himself for the final strike, the one strike that had never failed him. He lowered his stance, shifting his weight he drew back his hands away from his foe’s view and started rumbling from within. Collecting all the energy left in his tattered body in the palms of his hands. Pena Pulkkinen stood still like a pole and clapped his hands together as if he were calming his nerves through deep meditation but not soon after, energy started flowing from his core. Consuming his entire body, the energy flowed with gusto as Pena Pulkkinen prepared for his final stand.

A bolt of energy surged through the air as Menace Defoe fired his kill shot. The energy from the seemingly exhausted Gamma light heavyweight champion packed a punch as the impact catapulted Pena Pulkkinen towards the restless sea at the end of time. A shockwave ran through the Underground light heavyweight champion as he was flung back-first into an erupting wave, the living horror of the sea swallowing up his body like a killer whale that rose from the deep. But the wave’s eruption elevated the wave to new heights and out of the wall of deep blue sea that darkened even the brightest sunlight, a new light appeared as it shot out of the darkness like a spear. Pena Pulkkinen completely engulfed in the flames of his own energy torpedoed himself towards Gamma’s force of destruction. A tsunami followed Pena Pulkkinen’s attack and sent both legends sprawling across the boulders of the coast.

Like zombies rising from their graves they rose as the fight still had not left their mind and soul. Just as they primed their ragged bodies for another attack, thunder roared and lightning cracked the darkness in the sky. As lightning struck, the earth rumbled and the two fighters froze in their steps. A British voice from the sky lashed out as admin god Michelangelo screamed at the top of his voice: “What are you two bellends doing?” The two warriors standing on the brink of exhaustion looked at each other and decided to call it a night. As the maddened British voice still rang through the air, they each went their separate way.

Winner: Menace Defoe by unanimous decision.

GAMMA#667 Bryant v Bubba 2 – October 14

265+ title - Gerbert Bryant © Vs Bubba Gumption

In their first encounter, Bubba Gumption came close to an upset victory and after rising back to the top of the division he looked ready to prove that luck wasn't involved in his previous near-domination of the champion. As in their first encounter Bubba Gumption took hold of the reigns in the standup while Gerbert Bryant was always on the lookout for a takedown. These goliaths traded leather and the champion’s presence should not be underestimated but the sheer brutality and relentlessness of the challenger was what sold the judges on his victory.

Winner: Bubba Gumption by unanimous decision.

Brad O'Neil HOF Induction

The next person inducted is someone we cannot actually look up! Due to the way the game was storing data in the past, a lot of old school managers were simply wiped out of the database. This was actually one of the reasons why i decided to keep a record of the top managers myself to begin with.

Brad O'Neil is one of just 4 managers to have 3 or more fighters in our HOF (Sol Tavarez, Dwayne Hicks, Jack Burton were all his fighters). He is ranked 10th best manager in GAMMA's history and for the better part of our first 3 years was probably our best together with Face Kicker, Grund McGrunderson and Mr Gutz.

October 2017 recap part 2

By Alika Webb

GAMMA#668 Diehard v Laine – October 21

145 title - Gareth Keenan © Vs Kira Miyata

Gareth Keenan’s ambitions reached higher than the sun and he consequently got burned as he tasted defeat for the very first time. It was the biggest fight in his short career but the champion is ready to get his career back on track. Over two years have passed since Kira Miyata’s last title fight. Lurking in the shadows, he patiently awaited his opportunity until he felt the time was ripe to challenge for the coveted Gamma featherweight title one more time.

In a classic striker Vs grappler match-up, the more experienced Kira "Gaijin" Miyata had a lot of trouble taking this fight to the ground as he was consistently pummeled by an overwhelming plethora of strikes. And when the challenger was finally able to let his opponent’s body hit the floor, he found himself trapped in the clutches of the champion’s underestimated ground game. Like a crocodile’s jaw snapping shut over the flabbergasted Kira Miyata, the champion latched himself to the arm of the challenger and didn’t let go until the referee intervened.

Winner: Gareth Keenan by submission (armbar) after 2 minutes and 58 seconds in the fourth round.

170 title - Musta Laine © Vs Bruce Diehard

In quite stunning fashion this fight managed to stun fans around the globe as both champion and challenger continued to take the fight where the opponent found more success. You could see nothing but surprise on the faces of those in attendance as the champion looked to continue the trend of trading leather while his opponent more than was his match on the feet. Frustrations clearly visible on the coaches in both corners as the challenger was constantly on the lookout for a takedown where Musta Laine lurked in the shadows, like an octopus lying in wait to spring upon his unsuspecting victim and drag him into the deep end. Both fighters gave it their all in a fight that left all who watched frown with confusion.

Winner: Bruce Diehard by unanimous decision.

GAMMA#669 Obama v Goodman 2 – October 21

185 title - Russian Obama © Vs Saul Goodman

A rematch not to be missed as the former champion Saul Goodman made his return to the middleweight title scene. Russian Obama’s victory over the former champion was a very close one and with both of them conquering a former middleweight champion on their path to this rematch, the crowd was electric. Buzzing with anticipation the crowd roared with thunderous joy as the bell signaled the start of Obama Vs Goodman 2.

The fight started and from the get-go it was crystal clear that Saul Goodman came into this fight with a vengeance. The gameplan was simply put: overwhelm the champion with a flurry of strikes and keep hammering into him until the final bell. Russian Obama is no pushover and he kept up the pace but he was constantly in pursuit, trying to get even with Saul Goodman instead of actually gaining the upper hand.

Winner: Saul Goodman by unanimous decision.

GAMMA#670 Curry v Mencken (887716) – October 28

155 title - Mathew Ridgeway © Vs Vladimir Emelienko

Mathew "Deep Waters" Ridgeway barely walked away with the championship belt in his last fight so the pressure was on the newly crowned champion to blast away all his doubters with a dominant victory. Vladimir Emelienko knows full well how the nerves can get to you in your first title defense as he once lost the title in his first defense. Certainly the challenger was looking to capitalize on his experience, this combined with the fact that he has never been finished in the cage made him a tough challenger for the lightweight title. These two warriors went at it before and last time it was Mathew Ridgeway who walked away the victor.

From afar this fight would look pretty similar to their previous encounter but a close-up would reveal the intricacies that made this fight worth watching. For yes, they were trading hard shots and stiff kicks most of the time and Mathew Ridgeway was on the lookout to take the fight to the clinch and yes he did once again find success there but both their strategies had definitely changed since the previous time they met. The champion was focused on slowing down his first challenger with wood chopping leg kicks while taking his time to set up his clinch attempts. The challenger on the other hand kept his strategy quite simple as he was mostly headhunting all night long, using his kicks merely as an extension of his arsenal and keeping the champion guessing until the final bell.

Winner: Vladimir Emelienko by split decision.

With his latest KO at GAMMA 671, Gunnar Steigelmann has become the all time leader in most all time KO wins with 29 surpassing Jt Colossus with 28. 2 other fighters Renan St Juste and Raz Matazz who both competed in the lower weight classes have 27 each (if you include their super fights outside of GAMMA).

The most impressive about Gunnar is the fact that he is still competing at a high level, ranked inside the top 100 of the game despite him being 40y of age! A win in his next fight against Bubba could earn him a title shot.

November 2017 recap part 1

By Alika Webb

CEC 551 – November 1

155 Superfight - Serge Spectre (Claymore Elite Combat) Vs Gareth Keenan (GAMMA)

Gamma’s featherweight champion Gareth Keenan successfully recovered from the first loss in his career when he not only defeated Kira Miyata but he actually made the submission grappler tap out to a wicked armbar heard round the world. Now he thought the time was right to get back on the horse and take another shot at global domination. Next on the list was Serge Spectre who is the CEC lightweight champion, meaning that Gareth Keenan actually needed to fight in a higher weight class, a weight class he has frequented before.

Serge Spectre came to play and did a great job of keeping up with the interpromotional invader in the stand-up. While Gareth Keenan struck with force and relentlessness, Serge Spectre struck with the intention of taking the fight to the ground. The takedowns of Serge Spectre were the tale of the fight as Gamma’s featherweight champion found no answer to the CEC lightweight champion’s rough and tumble grappling approach while Serge Spectre took a lot of punishment while setting up his takedowns.

Winner: Serge Spectre by split decision.

GAMMA#671 Bubba v Bryant 3 – November 4

135 title - Cullen Castrello © Vs Karol Mirowski

Cullen Castrello took Nico World Citizen by surprise and took home the bantamweight title in the process. Considering Cullen Castrello had just lost the lightweight title in his previous fight, many wondered why he would choose to drop two weight classes at once but the results could not be argued. His first challenger was the one man Polish wrecking crew, Karol Mirowski.

The best way to describe this fight would have to be ruthless aggression as both guys went at it guns blazing. Neither man pulled any punches but Karol Mirowski’s seemingly unlimited source of energy was an amazing thing to watch as he kept blasting the newly crowned champion with an incredible selection of strikes that had the fans sitting on the edge of their seats as a finish was never far away in this explosive battle for bantamweight supremacy.

Winner: Karol Mirowski by unanimous decision.

265+ title - Bubba Gumption © Vs Gerbert Bryant

No introductions necessary as these two goliaths go at it for the third time in their respective careers. Last time these two giants collided, the earth was shook to its core as it resulted in one of the biggest upset victories of the year.

He was a powerful machine and relentlessly mean.

He was the best damn heavyweight champion we had ever seen.

Bubba with all his might, outworked him in his last fight.

Now the rematch is upon us, will he find back his stride?

Receiving more than his share, he was fighting for air.

Trying to close the distance while he was already there.

Because the cage started shaking, the fight was breathtaking.

History, they just made it

and Gerbert Bryant shook Bubba Gumption’s world … all night long!

Winner: Gerbert Bryant by KO (strikes) after 2 minutes and 36 seconds in the fifth round.

GAMMA#672 Goodman v Quin – November 11

185 title - Saul Goodman © Vs Matt Quin

Saul Goodman recaptured the Gamma middleweight title in a brawl that concluded the second part of his feud with Russian Obama. When two dogs fight over a bone, a third one carries it away. That is a thought that must have crossed the legendary Matt Quin’s mind as he made his way back to title contention. Belgium’s pride and joy personified and a former number one pound for pound fighter to boot. Matt Quin’s stock may have plummeted since losing the Gamma middleweight title and a few more fights that followed but he never let it get to him. With an iron will, nerves of steel and takedowns like thunderbolts, he has clawed his way back to the top.

The champion did a great job of mixing up his strikes, keeping the challenger on his toes and scoring some very important points along the way. Matt Quin might not be the most diverse striker but who needs pulverizing strikes when you have takedowns seemingly faster than the speed of light? Every time the challenger put the champion on his back you could see the light in the champion’s eyes fading as he had already given up on the idea of standing up for the rest of the round.

Winner: Matt Quin by split decision.

205 Superfight - Menace Defoe (GAMMA) Vs Alex John Conor Burns (Claymore Elite Combat)

In a superfight for global domination and interpromotional bragging rights, Gamma’s light heavyweight champion Menace Defoe took on Claymore Elite Combat’s light heavyweight champion "Scotia Bear" Alex John Conor Burns. This is the second superfight of the month between CEC and Gamma with tension running high as CEC won the first interpromotional superfight.

The crowd was restless to say the least with all the pressure on Menace Defoe’s shoulders to defend Gamma’s honor and remain the best light heavyweight fighter on the planet. It was a slugfest to say the least with both fighters throwing everything but the kitchen sink at each other. These legendary warriors brawled as they struck blows so vicious that they could have finished the fight against any old ham and egger but these are no ordinary men. Like gods in the clouds above they bombarded each other with lightning as the impact from their strikes culminated in a thunderstorm of explosions that drowned out the sounds of the roaring crowd in the jam packed LA Memorial Colossuseum.

The bell rang after the fifth and final round and the crowd was furious with the result as Alex John Conor Burns earned his bragging rights and then some by outworking one of Gamma’s best, Menace Defoe.

The CEC champions then came seemingly from out of nowhere and stormed the cage to celebrate their fellow CEC champion’s successful campaign for global domination. Their celebrations rubbed the tens of thousands of fans in attendance the wrong way and the CEC championship mafia gladly took their exit from the Gamma cage, leaving the defeated Gamma champion behind. CEC super heavyweight champion Timur Rubin lifted up his badly bruised brother in arms on his broad shoulders on the ramp and the restless crowd started to get closer inch by inch, an infuriated mob with only ill intend in mind for the CEC champions and CEC lightweight champion Shogun Iron Tyson had seen enough as he punched a fan who had come to close. The crowd tried to retaliate but as soon as the punch was thrown, music blasted the LA Memorial Colossuseum and the Gamma champions came spilling out of the backstage area, flooding the crowd with mixed emotions of joy while still carrying a burning hot desire for vengeance.

The battle lines were drawn as the champions from Gamma and CEC were lined up against each other on the entrance ramp near the cage. Face to face they came except for Alex John Conor Burns who was still perched on the shoulders of his supersized friend. Timur Rubin soon came to regret carrying his fellow champion on his shoulders as Gareth Keenan still had a bone to pick with the CEC gang so he used his speed to race towards the bulging brute and leapt into the sky, soaring like an eagle but striking like a burning hot phoenix. His right arm stretched out and stiff as a plank hit its target. Seemingly paralyzed from the dagger-like blow to the throat, the lifeless corpse of Alex John Conor Burns broke contact with the broad shoulders of Timur Rubin and came crashing down to the metal surface of the entrance ramp. The crashing body signaled the beginning of the end as both groups of champions ran towards each other and collided with a vicious example of gang warfare as a result, that sent the bloodthirsty crowd into a frenzy.

As the champions on the ramp were fully engaged in beating each other to a pulp, one man had just climbed to the top of the cage. Looking over this newly formed battleground, the battered and beaten down Menace Defoe stood tall like a superhero scanning the scene of the crime before he comes to the rescue. A target he found and with vigor he sprung from the cage with a senton and landed right in the middle of the group of warring champions. His body came crashing down from such a height that the impact of his landing was like a massive explosion, sending shockwaves in the group of the fighting elite, breaking up the fighting once and for all as the shockwaves pushed the champions down to the floor, giving security some time to separate these battling brutes.

Winner: Alex John Conor Burns by unanimous decision.

GAMMA#673 Diehard v Shin – November 11

170 title - Bruce Diehard © Vs Lao Shin

Bruce Diehard had just captured the title but it wasn’t his to keep as former champion Lao Shin "To Chin" came at him with a passion that rung his opponent’s bell in the very first round. With Lao Shin standing in his way, he knew he would not pass so with the burning hot fury of a Balrog he started whipping out some strikes to get back on track but the judges gave the victory to the magical offense of the challenger.

Winner: Lao Shin by majority decision.

November 2017 recap part 2

By Alika Webb

GAMMA#674 Bryant v Mencken – November 18

155 title - Vladimir Emelienko © Vs Randy Springs

Considering these two strikers have such a similar style in that they prefer to outwork their opponents rather than taking chances in the hopes of a knockdown, it came as no surprise that this was a very even back and forth brawl. But one man took the lead on the scorecard early on and he looked hell bent not to let it slip from his grasp. With an iron will and an unstoppable armada of piercing blows Randy Springs was awarded the victory.

Winner: Randy Springs by unanimous decision.

265+ title - Gerbert Bryant © Vs HL Mencken

The list of people HL "Black Flag" Mencken has recently conquered reads as a list of people you never want to get into a bar fight with and since his arrival in Gamma he has been unstoppable. This made him a perfect challenger for the one man wrecking crew named Gerbert Bryant. Gerbert Bryant still had the heavyweight gold around his waist but that didn’t stop him from getting his super heavyweight crown back in an explosive rematch that served as the end of the trilogy with new rival Bubba Gumption. Now Bryant looked to defend it once again.

The fight did not go as champion Gerbert Bryant had planned as the challenger more than rose to the occasion. HL Mencken did a great job of keeping the fight standing and never let the champion forget who the better striker was throughout the fight. The real difference maker however came in round two when the challenger himself closed the distance and brought the pain to the champion until the referee pulled the raging maniac HL Mencken off his latest victim.

Winner: HL Mencken by TKO (strikes) after 3 minutes and 20 seconds in the second round.

GAMMA#675 Bubba v Gunnar – November 25

135 title - Karol Mirowski © Vs Zang Zhai

Undefeated since coming to Gamma but even so current bantamweight champion Karol Mirowski had a lot to prove in his very first title defense. The challenger Zang Zhai has won three out of his last four fights and looked ready to put Karol Mirowski to the test in this battle of the newcomers to the bantamweight title scene.

Karol Mirowski and Zang Zhai were striking, their attacks were fast as lightning.

Truth be told, the fight was a little bit frightening. As both men fought with expert timing.

They were two scrappy fighters from Gamma’s bantamweight division.

They were stirring things up and they did it with amazing precision.

It’s an ancient human tradition, that made everyone who paid for admission

go mental with a thirst for more, as the fight they witnessed could make no man snore.

Winner: Karol Mirowski by split decision.

145 title - Gareth Keenan © Vs Cullen Castrello

Gareth Keenan’s stock may not have plummeted but it has definitely taken a big hit, losing two superfights in his last four bouts. Cullen Castrello still felt the hunger for the gold as he keeps going to new divisions to find more championship success. This fight felt as the end of the road for one and a redemption for another and with the featherweight title on the line, the deck seemed stacked for an amazing fight.

Gareth Keenan showed no mercy in this kickboxing tit for tat battle. With a never ending army of strikes from all possible directions the champion kept outworking the challenger. Cullen Castrello had a clear strategy in mind but every time he failed to close the distance he looked more and more desperate and it showed in the rest of his performance. With his early attempts to take control of the fight failing, he never seemed to get back in the right frame of mind to possibly upset the champion.

Winner: Gareth Keenan by unanimous decision.

170 title - Lao Shin © Vs Bobby Shamrock

Lao Shin just recaptured the welterweight title but the fight was so close that it was ruled a majority decision by the judges at ringside. Another man with a lot to prove in his new championship reign but this time, he brought with him a lot more wisdom and experience. The champion needed that edge too as the challenger brought with him a drive to become the Gamma welterweight champion for the first time in his career and that was clear to see in his spirited effort to keep up with the champion.

Both warriors seemed to have a clear goal in mind and that was in both cases to take the fight to the clinch. It was also pretty easy to see that neither man was able to get the advantage in close quarters. No, the real fight for supremacy took place on the outside as the champion was sniping like a sharpshooter on a mission.

Winner: Lao Shin by unanimous decision.

The Greatest of All time (GOAT) is a debate that always a debate the fans always like to bring up. GAMMA has held more events than any other org in this game's history and with the exception of a few stuborn assholes, all the top managers have had a least a few fights in the org at one point or other. But who has perfomed the best over the course of our 8 1/2 years of history?

GAMMA has a ranking system that rates managers based upon the following criteria:

1 Point Per Loss

2 Points Per draw

3 Points Per title fight/Super fight

4 Points Per win

50 Points for HOF Fighters

Based upon that criteria, here is how our managers ranked! (Note: We only ranked managers that competed in title fights), the list below includes just the top 30 and the last time we updated this list was in August:

Gale Hawthorne (22636) 1200

Whymer Van Mastodon (40116) 905

Mr Gutz (3074) 718

Boondock The Destroyer (503) 691

Pawel Ufcowski (52087) 595

Igor Psycho (6994) 522

Dom Jaehnke (20196) 518

Gerbert Bryant (84742) 489

Face Kicker (2965) 448

Brad O'Neil 371

Alika Webb (62511) 359

John McGuirk (1306) 351

Fart Master (102643) 341

Grund McGrunderson (3341) 323

Paulie Walnuts (79001) 314

Richard Davenport (10647) 303

Andy McKenzie (101467) 289

Matt Cave (45538) 288

Jebba . (61031) 286

Gritty Smitty (1206) 286

Digga Dogman (91254) 275

Seppo Koskinen (2820) 266

Doug Heffernan (10852) 260

John Bravo (50889) 255

Jack Smith (7552) 251

Klatz Matz (46802) 250

Central Park Wigan (27741) 238

Choose Life (3393) 229

Marky Mark (22640) 211

Lance Templeton (889) 206

Among the above managers, only a few are actually playing the game at the moment and have fighters in GAMMA. That list includes:

Whymer Van Mastodon (40116)

Dom Jaehnke (20196)

Gerbert Bryant (84742)

Alika Webb (62511)

Fart Master (102643)

So Gale remains the G.O.A.T, it is remarkable how Gale ammassed those figures, considering that he left the game years ago, however Whymer is closing ground. At this current pace it should take him around 1 1/2 years to surpass Gale and become our greatest manager, although a lot depends on the success of his fighters. Dom, Gerbert, Alika and Fart are also high up the list at the moment, at the current pace we should see them all ranked inside the top 6-7, they all have fighters at the top or near the top of their divisions.

December 2017 recap part 1

By Alika Webb

GAMMA#676 Defoe v Ericsson – December 2

205 title - Menace Defoe © Vs Ludvig Ericsson

A superfight loss at the hands of Alex John Conor Burns brought Menace Defoe to the eye of the storm as conflict was brewing between two of the most dominant forces in MMATycoon history, Gamma and CEC. Menace Defoe now found himself on a quest for redemption and his first stop was new light heavyweight title contender Ludvig Ericsson who was on quite a nice four fight winning streak.

Both men got on like a house of fire as they started swinging for the heavens from the get go. While the challenger tried to play it smart by looking for ways to take the fight to the mat, the champion brought the intense fighting spirit he is known for and frequently switched it up by closing the distance, keeping the challenger on his toes. While it was still a competitive battle up to that point, the champion always looked the part and never seemed to get into any sort of real trouble. A massive overhand right hand however knocked the challenger out cold in the second round and that was the exclamation mark that the champion desperately needed, to regain what he lost in his previous fight.

Winner: Menace Defoe by KO (punch) after 3 minutes and 56 seconds in the second round.

GAMMA#677 Menken v DaCoca – December 2

185 title - Matt Quin © Vs Russian Obama

One whole year after losing the title he held dearest, Matt Quin came back like a ghost from Christmas past with a vengeance as he recaptured the Gamma middleweight title. Now a man who has once beaten him before is his first challenger. Who would be victorious in an epic battle for middleweight supremacy? The champion who had fallen lower than any before him but through hard work and sheer willpower clawed his way back from rags to riches? Or would that honor go to the recently defeated but never conquered challenger, Russian Obama?

Russian Obama and his band of masked men who were all clad in black armor that covered them from top to bottom, stormed the palace where middleweight king Matt Quin had just taken place on his throne. The palace itself was sparkling with the holiday spirit, flashy lights aplenty, boughs of holly decking the halls and even a very real-looking life-sized Santa doll who greeted them by the door. The newly crowned king had taken his celebrations to a whole new level with the Christmas time nigh upon us. But Russian Obama had no intentions of enjoying the festivities. Christmas was nothing but a symbol of everything wrong in this world and when he got his hands back on the middleweight crown, his first act as king would be to cancel the holiday he hated so passionately. Russian Obama out of sheer hatred for what it represented punched the Santa doll so hard in the gut that had it lived, it would have screamed bloody murder. Russian Obama was glad to see the inanimate doll had remained still and with his fear of the doll being an actual person put to rest, he ordered his men to seize control of the palace.

With an arsenal of brutal punches that shot out like a fiery rain from a machine gun and kicks fired with the brutality of a shotgun, Russian Obama spared no man who stood on his way to reclaim his throne. With the palace sealed off and everyone inside rounded up in a single room, Russian Obama was more frustrated than ever to see that Matt Quin was not there, yet he was sure the king was still at large inside the building.

Confirmation came soon after, as one his accomplices was found dead wearing nothing but the Santa suit Matt Quin had used to avoid detection during the initial siege of the palace. A message was written on the Santa suit: “you won’t fool me twice, hohoho” and the message brought even more frustration to the already furious challenger. Russian Obama gathered his men, considering the king stole his accomplice’s clothes, the challenger was sure that he was now hidden amongst his own men.

But there was one thing the king hadn’t accounted for: the absolute viciousness of the challenger. The savage brute told his masked men to drop their weapons on the floor and as soon as they did, he pulled out his own gun and let go a thunderstorm of flying bullets striking flesh, blood spraying the canvas of the palace walls. One by one, the challenger killed his own men until there was only one left standing. Giving up all pretense, Matt Quin rushed the challenger in a passionate sprint and took him off his feet with a slam heard round the world.

“Merry Christmas!” Matt Quin exclaimed as he took off his mask. And the maddened Russian underneath his massive frame started wriggling like a squid in a desperate attempt to escape from the king’s clutches. The king weakened the challenger’s body with some nasty ground and pound but his spirit remained unscathed as his continued attempts to break free finally got him back on his feet.

“Luka—turn your wheel so I need not slay this man!” Matt Quin prayed for he knew the next attack he would launch could mean the death of the foe he now faced. Russian Obama readied his fist and ran towards the king with nothing but ill intent in mind but the king ducked under the challenger’s mighty swing that hit nothing but air. Matt Quin connected with the challenger’s torso, grabbed a hold of the Russian savage and lifted him up with a power only the king could produce in the heat of battle. Matt Quin lifted the challenger on his broad shoulder and started to sprint toward the stone wall he now faced. Russian Obama was speared into the stone wall, back first. The impact he felt was harder than that of a fall off a small building and the king had thought that the challenger’s body would give out before the wall would. He thought wrong.

The wall caved under the force of the two warriors and opened for them a new door towards the unknown. The rattled king and challenger had a hard time figuring out their surroundings as the light in the newly discovered room was dim … until the king flipped the light switch and the room came alive. Christmas presents filled the room so large it could house a small army. All presents were exactly the same size, nearly as big as the king’s head. Russian Obama was maddened by the sight of all these sizeable presents. “What are all these presents?” Russian Obama asked. “Christmas presents. One for each of my loyal subjects.” Matt Quin replied sternly. “Well you can keep mine!” Russian Obama shouted as he threw one of the presents towards the king. The present bounced off the king’s head and landed with such a soft thud that it was barely audible to the naked ear.

“What the crap was that?” asked the baffled challenger. “It’s a comb.” the king proclaimed. “A bloody comb in such a big box? Wait? What?! You give your loyal subjects a bloody comb for Christmas?” Russian Obama was shocked by this revelation. “Consumerism is the reason for the decline of our society, it’s the thought that matters not the price!” said the king in his defense. The maddened challenger was now steaming with rage and swung for the fences with a punch so powerful it would have launched the king’s skull to the moon had it connected. The king with cat-like reflexes ducked under it and swept the maddened brute off his feet. As they landed on the floor, a card fell from one of the presents and came into the view of these warring gladiators. The card read the following:

“Why is Santa always so jolly? Because he knows where all the naughty girls live.”

Even the stern face of Russian Obama vanished like snow melting in the sun. They laughed and laughed until they couldn’t laugh any more. The fight was ruled a draw as a definitive conclusion has yet to take place but one thing is for sure, we haven’t seen the end of this rivalry yet …

Winner: Nobody as the fight was rules a majority draw.

265+ title - HL Mencken © Vs Charles DaCoca

HL "Black Flag" Mencken put himself on the map and then some by finishing Gamma legend Gerbert Bryant but now he had to prove that it was not a lucky punch but true skill that made him the new super heavyweight champion. Charles DaCoca has been unstoppable since making his way to Gamma but up until now, he didn’t have to deal with the added pressure of a title fight. The question on everyone’s mind was which man would be able to rise to the occasion.

This fight was not competitive to say the least. The champion was busted open by the very first strike that landed and that was just the beginning as Charles DaCoca launched a massive nuclear assault with a blast radius that encompassed the entire cage.

Winner: Charles DaCoca by KO (punch) after 3 minutes and 12 seconds in the first round.

GAMMA#678 Bryant v Hoyce – December 9

135 title - Karol Mirowski © Vs Kira Miyata

A classic striker Vs grappler matchup with the bantamweight gold hanging in the balance. While champion Karol Mirowski took the lead in the stand up, challenger Kira Miyata did a hell of a job keeping up with the champion. Quick strikes led to both guys looking to break the pace by closing the distance as Kira Miyata was using his strikes to open up opportunities for a takedown while the champion looked to enforce his will in the clinch. A very even fight that could have gone either way but the judges gave it to the champion.

Winner: Karol Mirowski by unanimous decision.

155 title - Randy Springs © Vs Mathew Ridgeway

Randy Springs captured the Gamma lightweight title for the second time in his career. The first time around he had the misfortune of losing it in his first defense against Mathew Ridgeway, most certainly nominating him as the most hated fighter in Randy Springs’ mind. Now for the first defense in his second reign he gets to face his nemesis one more time.

A really close stand up encounter it turned out to be. While the champion did a great job of mixing up his strikes and scoring points, Mathew Ridgeway did so too and then some. A great wealth of kicks flashing out of the corners of their eyes put them both on notice while the snapping punches kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.

Winner: Mathew Ridgeway by unanimous decision.

265 title - Gerbert Bryant © Vs Hennan Hoyce

2017-12-09 Los Angeles

When I started my shift late in the evening, I hadn’t the foggiest that such a peculiar meeting would occur. Having just moved to the city of angels, I must admit quite dreadfully that I was not ready for such a life-changing moment so early in my short yet illustrious life.

My colleagues had already told me about the bizarre man who had just been escorted into the hospital but I knew my co-workers and I knew they had the habit of exaggerating a few details here and there to make the story more entertaining. Like the incredible tale of mister Puno whom they declared the greatest fighter of our time who turned out to just be incredibly smart, simply avoiding new challengers when he arrived at the peak of his career. But I digress.

When I walked into that room, the man’s face was an absolute mess. The cuts and bruises were no mere token of this man’s pain and suffering. No, it was a clear sign that the man had suffered more than any man should suffer in a lifetime. During my time in med school I had seen corpses better looking than the body that lay before me.

I hesitantly walked over to his bed as I feared he might look upon me. The aura emanating from that bed put me under a blanket of fear for that was one of the worst sightings I had ever the displeasure of seeing. I boldly glanced at him and out of the corner of my eye, I caught him staring at me. I looked away immediately and started to slowly back up out of the room as I feared that thing might start to talk to me.

A grunt came from that monstrous image that now faced my backside. I stopped dead in my tracks, gathered up all the courage I could and asked him if he was trying to say something. Once more a grunt came so I turned around, carefully avoiding any contact whatsoever with this gruesome abomination’s eyes and as I approached him cautiously I heard his voice as clear as day: “Still better than Puno.”

Trembling to the core, I walked away and as I closed the door I could feel my eyes starting to water up. At the brink of despair, standing on the edge of the most terrifying abyss known in the world we live in. Facing horrors unbeknownst to mere mortal men such as myself, this creature roamed the earth among us.

Winner: Hennan Hoyce by KO (head kick) after 2 minutes and 47 seconds in the second round.

Matt Cave (45538) HOF induction

Matt has been retired for over 3 years, but when he was playing he was largely considered one of the best managers in the game for the better part of 5 years. A game Hall Of Fame inductee with a record of 25-10-0 in GAMMA. He is one of only 3 managers to be inducted with under 50 total fights in GAMMA, the other 2 are Grund McGrunderson (3341) and Richard Davenport (10647), who are also MMA Tycoon former #1 ranked managers.

Matt had a crazy level of consistency at the top echelons, with 26 out of his 44 fights being either title or super fights. He also has 2 fighters in our HOF, only 4 other managers have more and in their cases it was with more than double his total fights. If not for retirement, Matt would probably be ranked in our top 5-6 managers of all time by now.

He even had a period as our writer for 3-4 months before he hanged up his gloves, after which we made it our goal to always have consistent writting done for our org. All in all, a legend for GAMMA.

All the other spots can change for sure, some fighters could jump up 3-4 places, so it will be interesting.

I really don't mind getting hit and being cut open myself, as I wouldn't want to be doing anything else.

Gave him a nice Christmas present worthy of 16days of injuries AND 16 days of cuts!

Fuck those pointfighters, I'm going headhunting every single time!

New fight offer already in the books.

Up against Thorbjorn Heimendahl next, Whymer his massive HW butcher.

Lets meet in the middle of the cage and inflict as much damage as any human can possibly endure!

One thing though Mentor; there is going to be regular drugtesting for this bout right?
Heimendahl post fight seemed a bit too hyped up yesterday for my liking....

Man Mentor really outdid himself this time. For Monte Zuma's welcoming fight he got none other but Beast Putin himself to fight him :) It's not everyday one of your fighters gets to rumble against the most powerful man in the planet.

I sat down with Zuma for a talk and to prep ourselves a bit for our first fight at a big org, these are uncharted waters for us. The mighty Zuma i a bit shook I might even add. This is what we have been able to research so far about Beast Putin. We are formulating a plan as we speak but man it's tough...

Beast Putin only mounts the finest russian specimens:

December 2017 recap part 2

By Alika Webb

GAMMA#679 DaCoca vs Steigelman – 16 December

265+ title - Charles DaCoca © Vs Gunnar Steigelmann

Newly crowned champion Charles DaCoca simply walked all over Gamma’s 2016 fighter of the year and then some. Gunnar Steigelmann started strong as he sliced open the champion with a sharp left but Charles DaCoca was enraged at the sight of his own blood and like a bull seeing red, he went berserk on the legendary challenger. It didn’t take long for the champion to bust open the challenger and after a blitzkrieg of an offensive swarm of kicks and punches, Gunnar Steigelmann had his light switched off with a destructive overhand right.

Winner: Charles DaCoca by KO (punch) after 1 minute and 47 seconds in the first round.

145 superfight - Sergey Panikov (Aggressive Damage) Vs Gareth Keenan (GAMMA)

Gareth Keenan’s last two attempt at securing a superfight win under his belt did not go the way he had anticipated, now many wondered if the third time would be the charm. Meet Sergey Panikov, Aggressive Damage’s featherweight champion. With a recent quick knockout over former Gamma bantamweight champion Underestimated "Snake In The Grass" Dillashaw Junior, Gareth Keenan and fans around the globe were warned that Sergey Panikov still brings the pain.

What a intriguing chess battle this turned out to be. Sergey Panikov definitely took hold of the reins at the start of the fight. Mighty aggressive he was, kicks with brute force were mixed in between an armada of explosive punches. A finish he craved but the cunning wit of Gareth Keenan slowly but surely took control of the fight. A splendid festival of near-magical vanishing punches and flashy kicks found their target more often than not, while Sergey Panikov had a lot of trouble hitting meat and bone.

Winner: Gareth Keenan by unanimous decision.

GAMMA#681 Mason vs Shin – 23 december

185 title - Matt Quin © Vs Russian Obama

Their first fight was an amazing sight to behold but unfortunately it ended without a clear victor. A draw does not offer anything to gain for either man. Like Schrödinger's cat they lived in limbo since their last fight as neither man could move forward or even backward until their rivalry finally gets a real conclusion.

The third one was indeed the charm for MMATycoon’s Cinderella man as Matt Quin dominated the first three rounds. With an abundance of razor sharp punches and always dangerous takedowns, the champion had the challenger’s number for the first three rounds. In the fourth round Russian Obama started to get back in the game despite the champion’s tenaciousness but even a close fifth and final round proved it was too little too late as the champion retained in a perfect ending to the trilogy that has captured the hearts of Gamma’s fans for so many months.

Winner: Matt Quin by unanimous decision.

170 superfight - Lao Shin (GAMMA) Vs Zane Mason (Aggressive Damage)

The undeniable favorite for the 170lbs Fighter Of The Year 2017 award is Lao Shin. He has had quite an amazing year but losing his last fight of the year would leave quite a sour taste in his mouth and might even put his spot of top runner in jeopardy. Party pooper Zane Mason looked quite ready to blast Lao Shin from his throne but the killjoy needed to get past a motivated Lao Shin at the top of his game.

Both elite strikers are known for their knockout ability but the difference in their last couple of fights is most certainly worth noting. Lao Shin "To Chin" has not been able to put his dukes to work in the chase for a finish since being finished himself not long after last summer’s end. Zane Mason on the other hand does not like to leave his victory to chance and has not neglected to finish people left and right, three out of his last five fights were quite exhilarating finishes the fans have adored him for. Fans were hopeful to see a knockout and they were not shy about letting it be known to these caged warriors.

Fans around the world were delighted to see that both men came to dance and what a tango of death this fight turned out to be! A true battlefield it was. An terrifyingly brutal mess of suffering, chaos, ugliness and mayhem as these brutes collided in the middle of the unforgiving steel cage. They swung for the fences, pulling no punches as they drew in the crowd in their brawl for bragging rights and for Lao Shin the possibility of losing the icing on the cake as his yearlong achievements could be rendered mute in the end of the year awards.

Zane Mason was quite adamant in taking this fight to the clinch but he soon came to regret it as Gamma’s welterweight champion proved himself quite the expert in close distance combat. The damage was done and Lao Shin could smell the sweet taste of victory. A crisp right hand countered Mason’s destructive left hook and dropped him on his backside. A relentless Lao Shin did not let him get off the hook as Lao Shin absolutely blasted Zane Mason with a nasty barrage of deadly blows until the grim reaper put on a referee’s attire and stepped in to end the fight.

Winner: Lao Shin by TKO (strikes) after 32 seconds in the fourth round.

UGD 93:Kenway Vs Keenan – 29 December

155 superfight - Edward Kenway (Underground) Vs Gareth Keenan (GAMMA)

After finally gaining some modicum of success in the realm of superfights, Gamma’s featherweight champion Gareth Keenan jumped back into the deep end faster than his own shadow. What an opponent he was given as the shark on duty was none other than Underground’s lightweight champion Edward Kenway, an undefeated force of mass destruction since signing with Underground.

They struck with nasty precision and expert timing. Not a gruesome brawl but an enticing chess match this was, between two masters of their craft and the tension could be cut with a knife as even the slightest error could prove the difference maker. The crowd kept holding their breath in anticipation and what a nifty battle for control this proved to be as Gamma’s featherweight champion more than held his own deep in enemy territory.

Winner: Gareth Keenan by unanimous decision.

GAMMA#682 Churchill v Ridgeway – 30 December

155 title - Mathew Ridgeway © Vs Winston Churchill

It took him quite a while to get there, but Winston Churchill let it be known that he was here to stay. The newly crowned lightweight champion on the other hand needed a victory to solidify his latest title reign and nothing was going to stop Mathew Ridgeway from walking away victorious.

In a whirlwind of strikes, only one man was the Tasmanian Devil in this fight and that was the champion. The challenger got blasted with an overwhelming amount of thunderous strikes. Like meteors passing through the atmosphere, the champion’s strikes were burning with a red hot desire and when they found their target, it was not a pretty sight. The impact of the champion’s strikes was so brutal that the challenger rushed his way into the clinch, only to find more misfortune there as the champion mercilessly continued his path of destruction.

Winner: Mathew Ridgeway by TKO (strikes) after 4 minutes and 46 seconds in the third round.

I was in the middle of a local press conference, when the reporter asked me if facing a giant like Heimendahl worries me...

The only thing that I fear is my own aggressiveness.

I'm a ruthless brawler and one day I'll pay the price for that, but that's a risk I'm willing to take.

Meet me in the middle Heimendahl and lets throw down.

If I get past you, I fully expect to be thrown into at least a number one contender fight or better.

Hey Mentor, arrange me some hot chick, I'm feeling lonely today and want to spare my hands this week.
She'll have to do all the work.
