Welcome to B2L! Tonight a title is on the line and in the main event we have a fight that will keep you in the border of your seats, so guess what, the fight is going to be full of suspense due to the different match ups that are in tonight's main event. And what not to say about the title fight, a hungry challenger is about to give the newly crowned champion the fight of his life!

Nigel York is one of the most dangerous strikers and the first fight of the night is taking part with his opponent Jake Batungbakal, whom is a decent striker himself with a background in Muay Thai; however, York's boxing has proven to be above most of his competition as of now, despite having his chin betray him in the past, it's going to be an amazing showdown when these two striking styles clash.

Hunter Adams and Oleg Sladkov are two fighters who are pretty much evenly matched in the striking and the grappling. Oleg has the edge in wrestling, which will allow him to keep the fight where he wants to, probably to sprawl and brawl his way to victory since Adams can pretty much fight wherever he wants to, decent boxing and bjj keep him safe wherever the fight goes, but sadly he cannot decide when to use these attributes.

Making his MMA debut here in B2L we have Hernandez Zatox whose first opponent will be Tche Bagual, this fight is going to be really hard fought as the superior wrestler is Zatox, but once it goes to the mat he will be lost aside from trying to stand up as fast as he can, because Bagual has the ground game to finish him before he can cry uncle.

BJJ specialist Reyes Zayas will make his MMA debut by fighting the 'all around fighter' Tyrese Jennings. Zayas has very little training in striking, most of his knowledge is from defensive striking so Jennings probably just has to keep the fight standing up to prove he is superior, however, we don't know how Zayas' wrestling is, which is going to be the most important factor in this fight.

Treyark Olso is a boxing expert who pretty much limits himself to trying to keep the fight standing and knock his opponents out, his opponent Tra Falgar knows a little bit about this and has a much better wrestling background which, who knows, could let him squeeze out a victory tonight.

Hannibal Lecter VIII is primarily a muay thai striker with a pretty well rounded skill set, but his opponent Remy Garmin possesses a really good wrestling background which makes him a threat on the ground, with his brutal ground and pound he will for sure look to put Hannibal on his back, the question is, can he survive on the feet before the fight goes to the ground?

These two fighters are pretty even striking and grappling wise, PierreLuc Beaulieu and Egg Nok have different results in their records though, something that leaves us with no idea of how this fight will downplay. But I can make sure that this fight will be a really hard fought one.

Willie Boyd is a better striker than Alan Ringseal, however, Ringseal has a very big advantage with wrestling and will no doubt try to take this to the ground, I wonder, however, how much will Boyd resist on the ground before Ringseal starts working that devastating top game that allowed him to dominate his one fight so far. Will Boyd be competent enough off his back to avoid damage or will Ringseal's top game be too much to handle? Doesn't matter, because if he keeps it standing he might as well walk out the winner.

Lightweights champion Max House will make his first title defense against Michael Jimenez, whom is a very good striker himself and possesses the wrestling to keep the fight standing. But a champion is got to go and leave it out in the cage, or else they wouldn't be wielding that title all over the place, am I right. So once the two enter the cage, none of them will be the champion, but instead, will be fighting for it, all over again. Only one will leave the champion and House has many ways to prove this, submission or knock out, and even the conditioning to go to the scorecards for 5 rounds. Let's see how Jimenez, whom has never been in a title match, reacts to the pressure.

Ricky Stanzi and Pit Bull are going to, shockingly, put on a striker vs grappler match up in the main event tonight, and nothing much can be said about these two other than the fact that this will either end via submission or via strikes. Why? Because these guys despite not being as well rounded as you'd expect, what they do, they do it well. So Stanzi probably wants this on the ground due to his amazing grappling skills which have allowed him to score all of his victories via submission, and well, it's no secret that Pit Bull will sprawl and brawl up in this, because his opponents regret ever stepping in the cage with him, or just go to sleep before they try to. Fights start standing, so Bull's most chances are at the start of every round, before the fight gets dramatically dragged to the mat by Stanzi. Let's see if it's a submission or a (T)KO what we see in tonight's main event. Probably an 'of the night' award for the winner since this is going to be a thrilling match up.

BSL 1 Preview by Milsy

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen I am pleased to present unto you this evening a fantastic card from Wild Bob’s Bar in Montreal Canada!

We have a trio of Super fights that shall be a pleasure to behold amongst a thriving youth of activity amongst the lower weights.

A word from Mr. Jake Waldren “enough chatter from our esteemed host Milsap LET THE WARS BEGIN!”

First off we have our 170lb bout featuring Nick Macdonald v Georges St Pierre :

We’ve got one fight wonders debuting in our 1st bout here, Macdonald comes in after a hairline defeat and St Pierre comes in with a stunning performance nearly taking a knockout in his prior fight.

It seems like Macdonald enjoys throwing his combo-sets while setting up to take his opponent to the ground-game if he has his way St Pierre will still the night with his superior methodical strategies of working the body with varied strikes and having a solid ground-game. Prediction: St Pierre will take the victory via way excessive damage dealt by his hands and legs.

For our 185lb bout featuring tar tar tar tar tar v Dan Smith :

Here are two boys who wish to show us and the world what they are made of. Neither boy has a fight to his name.

From Tar Tar’s camp comes news that he has been preparing for this fight for some time now, he’s taken to heart what his trainer’s have instructed him in coming into this fight.

On the flipside of things Smith has been slumming it through his training in a feeble hope that he will not embarrass his family’s name. Prediction: Tar Tar will win by decision.

For our 265lb bout featuring Paul Edman v Antony Van Der Solje :

Paul Edman hails in with a submission loss on the 29th second of the 3rd round he looks to continue this by going into tonight’s bout and bringing home a knockout victory….Van Der Solie comes in with an impressive submission victory on the 29th second of the 3rd round, these two men are polar opposites ladies & gentlemen.

Van Der Solie will look to finish the fight early with his overwhelming skills in Jiu-jitsu lest he gets rocked by Edmans heavier hands. Prediction: Van Der Solie will take the match by submission.

For our 205lb bout featuring Clydee Forte v John Rebasjki :

Forte strides into the bar with elegant ease of mind, he is accustomed to the oddities that are present here tonight. Rebasjki on the other hand looks like he’s lost control of his bowels I feel badly for the kid.

Forte will look to smash Rebasjki’s will with an impressive duo of potent wrestling and Jiu-jitsu. Rebasjki’s hope tonight will be to dominate Forte by not being tagged or taken to the ground. Prediction: Forte wins by submission.

For our 155lb featuring between Juan Gab Abad v James Edman :

Gab Abad will be wishing he had spent more time in the gym than carousing the streets of Montreal he will not stack up against Edman.

Edman holds the victory tonight with vastly heavier hands coupled with one of the world’s deadliest combative forms Muy thai, need I say more ladies and gentlemen I do….he has also thrown together a powerful duo of wrestling and Jiu-jitsu.

Prediction: Edman wins by 2nd round knockout.

For our 265lb bout featuring Tyson Christy v Tony Douglas :

Once more we have two men Debuting amongst us tonight. I must say I am utterly shocked that Christy’s trainers even saw fit to let him fight he definitely needed another few years of training. Douglas Seems to have come from a stricter upbringing he looks a fair amount more chiseled from time spent brawling as a young boy.

Douglas will press Christy to his limits with knuckles bled from bare-knuckle fights, once Christy’s faces is torn open he’ll be tossed to the ground like a small toy whilst there he had better pray for the strength to over come Douglas like David did upon Goliath.

Prediction: Douglass shall win via decision.

For our 205lb bout featuring Shanzo Miganzo v Carter Shields :

Miganzo comes in under a 2 match loosing streak will Shields be able to take Miganzo by surprise yet again with a victory by submission?

Miganzo will look to tear Shields apart tonight to avenge his loosing chain. From what is common knowledge we see that Miganzo is working his way to best the punching power of George Forman. His gameplan should be to set his own pace by not allowing Shields the opportunity to catch a glimpse of him.

Prediction: Miganzo will win via decision.

For our 265lb bout featuring Jacob Bokserski v Chris Murney :

Bokserski is an unknown quantity coming in after a loss via decision. Murney holds no credentials from combat but he looks to be the one who will steal the night.

Once Bokserski take Murney to the canvas Murney will work his superior wrestling skills to take advantage of his power. Murney will be disadvantaged if he is unlucky enough to be caught in one of Bokserski’s submission attempts.

Prediction: This fight can go either way no clear cut advantage.

For our Final bout of the night we have our super-fight featuring Jacob Bokserski v Chris Murney! What an interesting match-up we have here ladies and gentlemen Murney comes in on a debut performance with intent to send Bokserski out on a stretcher.

Murney comes into this fight the heavy handed boxer…whose goal is to nail at least one of Bokserski’s eyes shut before the ground game settles into pace. If Bokserski can withstand Murney’s hands of steel he may have a shot at taking a submission victory.

Prediction: Murney wins via knockout in the 2nd Round.

Alas it is that dreaded time yet again, I on behalf of Built 2 Last wish that every match was an orgy of art until we meet again Have a good night folks.

B2L 2 Preview

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen Joining me tonight is a long time friend and loveable bastard Joe McLain to give you fight addicts your lust for information as the 2nd round in the Race to the VIP continues in the Montreal Micro-Arena.

Coming your way on the under-card is a bout featuring Pit Bull v Remy Lee in a light-heavy weight match-up where they are weighing-in at 205 and 207.4 pounds respectively with records of 0-0-0 and 1-0-0.

Bull is coming into the tourney on his debut match as a pro while Lee has won a match earlier on. I can tell you Joe while Bull can claim he’ll be able to tear off Lee’s head with a perfectly time head-kick I would love to see him stay on his feet for the duration of tonight’s war that will end up forcing him to seriously reconsider his attitude on training.

Well John as Lee could do nothing but take his man down in his 1st bout he’ll have a rough time countering Bull’s Muy Thai I feel.

I cannot stomach these words right now as Joe and I are agreeing on our prediction that Bull will win tonight with a Knockout Victory.

Coming your way next is a heavy-weight bout featuring Big Buster v Robbie McSlaughter, these men are weighing-in at 220 and 262 pounds respectively with records of 0-1-0 and 0-0-0.

Buster should haven’t to worry about becoming another victim to a submission loss this evening Joe, but will he be able to avenge his loss and turn it into a submission victory?

I cannot tell you one damned way or another John but I can say this if McSlaughter is able to stand and bang as he so desires his debut match this evening shall be a beautiful orgy of blood-letting.

I will say that Buster wins via Submission against Joe’s Prediction of a Decision Victory for McSlaughter as we make a side bet of $50.

Coming your way next is a light heavy-weight bout featuring Gayee Kentee v Logan Louis! These men are weighing-in at 205 pounds respectively, with records of 0-1-0 and 4-3-0.

I cannot say this fight will be a slow match Louis will look to force his winning ways with his godly hand-strikes unto the heathen Kentee. If Louis smites Kentee he will be moving onto an impressive career with a good potential.

John all you can say is what you are given with note-cards how can you miss the fact that these two men are completely even in respects to Muy Thai and BJJ. I give the promoter props for wanting to pain the canvas tonight with his fighter’s blood!

John feels that Louis will Knock out Kentee as I do within the 2nd round.

Coming your way next is a heavy-weight bout featuring Kevin Melloman v Oleg Sladkov who are weighing-in at 270 and 240 pounds respectively with records of 0-0-0 and 0-1-0.

Melloman looks to be a gentle giant like a good Canadian pal of mine Joe this man doesn’t have the skills Jessie does though…Jessie can tag you left and right and have a fair shot at hurting you.

From what I can tell John Sladkov enjoys using his hands to brutalize his opponents heads as much as he enjoys a competent wrestling dual. He tells me his goals tonight rest in his ability to bob and weave out of range while he picks and chooses his strikes.

I enjoy this match-up as much as Joe loves to be the antagonist he is telling me he will put up $300 on Sladkov winning via Decision.

Coming up next we have a heavy-weight bout featuring Troy Johnson Johnson v Michal Nielamliwy! These men are weighing-in at 265 and 229.7 pounds respectively with records of 0-0-0 and 1-0-0.

Johnson better hope that he will win the night with his hands which he has been training since he was 16 years old. He has worked his way to having a flat fist all he has to do no is work on his dedication to the fine art of boxing and he’ll be knocking men out left and right.

This may be true John but Nielamliwy will crush this Johnson fellow with a brutal submission whenever he gets a chance to do so.

I can say that this match is a shocker Joe and I are in agreement that Nielamliwy will walk away the victory via Submission.

Coming your way next is a middleweight bout featuring Harry Hammer v Jan Veavatne! These men are weighing-in at 185 pounds respectively with records of 1-0-0 and 0-0-0.

Joe as I can tell Hammer is definitely going to live up to his name tonight as he pounds on Vevatne with his indestructible iron smelting fists. Legend be told that he has used his hands to forge his personal knife collection. I doubt the validity of this but we shall have an entertaining night with this man forcing his unique and devastating tempo upon Vevatne who is coming in with no experience as a pro fighter.

I along with Joe favor Hammer winning via Knockout.

Coming your way next is a welterweight bout featuring Tryus Jackson v Hannibal Lecter VIII who are weighing-in at 172 and 182 pounds respectively with records of 2-1-0 and 1-1-0.

Joe: I hope this man Lecter gets his ass submitted tonight, I am not a fan of television and I cannot stand serial murders lest this man is a jest I could care less. I do not share any love loss for the murdering bastard so you and I are on equal footing Joe.

With that aside we will see an entertaining bout while the match stays on the ground, if it stays on the feet Lecter may hold a decent skill advantage in Muy Thai.

I will be favoring Jackson winning via Submission tonight while Joe favors a decision for Lecter.

Coming your way next is a lighweight bout featuring Max House v Egg Nok! These men are weighing-in at 159 and 165 pounds respectively with records of 4-4-0 and 3-4-0.

House is a unique man; he was able to pull off a fluke knockout with his unwittingly cunning skills in Muy Thai, this could be his wild-card that he is hiding up his sleeve. He may end up utilizing his powerful hand-strikes that shall be a precursor to humiliating Nok on the ground with his excellent BJJ game.

Nok’s only hope tonight will be able to submit House before he is sent onto another loss which will put him at 0-4 with this match forcing that in his last 4-matches.

Joe and I can come to only one conclusion with this match ending in a submission going to House.

Here it is we’ve got the Co-Main Event featuring Robert Matthews v Chucky Little! These men are weighing-in at 205 and 215 pounds respectively with records of 1-0-0 and 2-0-0.

I would give just about anything to see Little take out Matthews like he did Hamil in 19-seconds. Little is the vastly superior man in this match-up. Joe will it last beyond the 45th second? I will wager it doesn’t John.

Joe and I are worrying that the match will not last beyond the 1st minute what do you say? TKO is a likely end to Matthews tonight.

Here it is the Main-Event featuring a middleweight bout featuring Seek Destroy v Jose Oquendo! These men are weighing in at 191 and 190 pounds respectively, with records of 1-0-0 and 4-0-0.

Joe I have a strong feeling that Destroy shall obliterate Oquendo’s 4 and 0 record tonight what can you chime in? Well John there is a small dilemma in your assessment, Oquendo has obtained a single TKO victor along with a Knockout both coming way of either kicks or punches. This man is a crazed Thai Fighter he will be able to shatter Destroy’s will to fight this evening.

I must also bring to light Joe that you can have all the glory if Destroy is brought to the mat knocked out of his world, but it may be another story if Destroy decides to take the bout to the ground where it could end at any moment.

We are torn on this fight which is lovely folks! Joe says Oquendo will win via Head-Kick KO, I say Oquendo is submitted.

Joe and I on behalf of Built 2 Last Premier MMA look forward to seeing you at the after party when all of these horrendously beautiful matches have concluded. Until then have a hell of a night!

Built 2 Last #3 Preview by Milsap

Good Evening ladies and gentlemen, standing beside me is Joe McLain thank you for making it to Paddy O’Malleys Bar in Montreal this evening! Get ready for a night you will soon remember as a night that the canvas has been painted with illustrious amounts of carnage!

Our night starts off with Jason Celso v tar tar tar tar tar coming in as middleweights, weighing-in at 185 and 190 pounds respectively holding records of 0-0-0 and 0-1-0. From what Tar Tar has shown us in the past he cannot weather any furious storm of strikes that land on his chin if he has any hope this evening he will push the match to a strategy of destroying Celso in a ground & pound game says Joe, I tend to agree here with Celso the more dominant striker in this match.

Lenwe Elendil v John Rossi are coming in as welterweights this evening, they are weighing-in at 180 and 175 pounds respectively and hold records of 0-0-0 v 0-1-0. I cannot foresee Rossi loosing via submission this evening Joe, what can you provide for us on this match-up? Well as you are being so hostile and leaving me little hedge way into tearing apart these fighters I will say that Rossi will be insanely lucky this evening if he can weather Elendil’s ferocious boxing skills whilst he survives the 1st round!

Chris Murney v Treyark Olso provide us a Super Heavy-weight bout this evening weighing-in at 300 and 280 pounds respectively as they hold records of 1-0-0 v 2-3-0. I can tell you this will be one exciting match seeing how both Murney and Olso do not mind slugging it out on the feet. I cannot remember the last match that would live up to the one we will see with this one!

I agree Joe, it will be interesting to see how Olso works out his game plan in this match knowing he doesn’t want to end up on a 3rd loss to pad his 2nd loss in a row.

Shanzo Miganzo v John Rebasjki are providing us a light-heavy weight bout this evening, weighing-in at 215 and 199 pounds respectively as they hold records of 1-2-0 v 1-0-0. Joe this is another beautiful match we’ve got this man Miganzo doesn’t care how few strikes he has to throw to provide us with a show-stopping knockout. He will not rest until he gains another knockout victory; if the match goes to the ground he will be able to force his slippery body to a standing position with relative ease. I would be amazed if the match lasted past the 1st round this evening.

Jack Mistigris v Rocc Fury are coming in as middleweights this evening, weighing-in at 194.64 pounds and 185 pounds respectively…while holding records of 0-0-0 v 1-0-0. Rocc may not be able to give this newer man MIsitigris a thrashing for his opening fight with B2L this evening while Mistigris holds a fairly even edge on him in boxing. There will be a advantage to MIsitigris being able to take Rocc down at will with some brutal takedowns that could end up knocking him out if he isn’t lucky.

Fabio Huerta v Patrick Cortez Patrick Yokeez Cortez are coming in as welterweights this evening, weighing-in at 175 v 172 pounds while they hold records of 8-4-1 v 2-0-0. Joe this match should be fairly cut and dry Huerta is obviously the veteran here with 8 victories in the cages six of which are submission victories. With his Brown belt in BJJ I cannot foresee the respectable boxing skills of Yokeez being any form of deterrent to a utterly devastating submission being sunk early on in the night.

Chuck Perry v Jack Rice are coming in tonight for your CO-MAIN EVENT as welterweight fighters, weighing-in at 177 v 175 pounds respectively while holding records of 1-0-0 v 1-0-0. John I feel that Perry has a extremely slim chance of pulling out his 2nd victory of his pro-career against Rice. I couldn’t agree more with you joe, where are the horrendously violent attacks this evening? Oh you know me too well John give me a little time and it’ll come forth. Alright back to the match at hand…I feel that Perry will need to stall as much as possible in this match and hope that a decision will come his way if he has any shot at winning.

And here we have it folks the MAIN-EVENT is here and we’ve got Jose Oquendo v Bruce McGee to battle it out in the Light Heavyweight dvision, they are weighing-in at 190 v 195 while holding records of 4-0-0 v 0-0-0. Here’s one of the more lopsided matches in tonight’s card John Oquendo looks like he will tear McGee limb from limb this evening whenever they clash for any length of time regardless of the fact that McGee holds a slight advantage in his brutal Muy Thai training. We will possibly see a fight of the night emerge from this match!

John and I are glad to have given you the juiciest details of what will be coming your way in a short time, we hope that you’ve enjoyed the weigh-ins meet us for the after party while we recap the event to come until then have one hell of a night!

B2L 7 Preview by Galashki

Hello, hello, hello dear fans! Welcome to (B2L) 7: Die-no-mite and all I can say is what a night we have ahead! We have Chucky Little against Shanzo Miganzo in the main event, two very dangerous strikers who have showed they can knock their opponents out. Hell, I even predict most of the fights will deliver entertainment to all of you as they will be fought really hard and I doubt that they will be any boring decisions, but I will not spoil anymore, let me show you tonight's match ups:

*Oleg Sladkov vs Big Buster*

Oleg Sladkov (1-2) is a wild striker who is always looking to knock his opponents out, and by now, Big Buster (0-3) must be aware of Sladkov's power in his hands, not to mention his superior striking, so it is a given that he wants this fight on the ground, sprawl and brawl is the key to victory for Sladkov who is already a favorite amongst the fans.. Buster is in for a long night if he does not know what the meaning of cliching is IF he does not go to sleep earlier than expected.

*Troy Johnson Johnson vs Antony Van Der Solje*

This match is going to be all about balls, taking the fight to the ground or keeping it on the feet is the key factor, but neither Troy Johnson Johnson (1-1) or Antony Van Der Solje (2-1) are experts in wrestling, so it is going to come down to who wants it more, if Van Der Solje weathers the storm and manages to take the fight to the mat, he is more than aware that he will make his opponent tap. Either way, we could see a very one sided fight in this match, all depending on who has developed the most on their wrestling by now.

*Michael Jimenez vs Mike Enriko*

Michael Jimenez (1-2) is an exciting star in the roster, who always puts on a show in his fights, we might not see KO's often but the technical level of his boxing makes up for most of what he has been missing into knocking guys out cold. Mike Enriko (0-1) should really find out what Jimenez' weaknesses are or he will be in big trouble, trying to strike with him from the distance will be suicide as Jimenez has proved to have a granite chin, taking all kind of strikes when fighting in the stand up. Enriko's heart and desire to win should allow him to give Jimenez hell of a fight tonight!

*Bret McCoy vs John Rebasjki*

Bret McCoy (1-0) is a powerful wrestler who has shown to be very capable to impose his will on his opponents, but sadly, wrestling alone can only get you so far, and John Rebasjki (1-1) being the superior striker should really try to avoid fighting on the ground, but it is easier said than done, tonight McCoy's wrestling might be more than enough to frustrate Rebasjki and outscore him or even finish him with the ground and pound.

*Logan Louise vs Alberta Wrecking Machine*

Alberta Wrecking Machine's (3-4) three wins come via the way of submission, but his only took is not submissions only, he has shown he packs power in his punches and will for sure make sure Logan Louise (2-2) knows this, despite Louise's capacity of taking shots to the head and shrug them off. This fight shouldn't go to decision, a submission is very likely as these two love to make their opponents tap, being Louise the more skiller grappler, but Machine having the ability to rock his opponent and finish him via strikes or work on a submission while his opponent is still in survival mode.

*Max House vs PierreLuc Beaulieu*

Max House (6-4) has gone on to two fights back to back since joining us, he is a guy who doesn't crumble through adversity and has the cardio to keep a relentless pace, on top of that, he is very capable of finishing fights either by KO or submission so he is a very exciting fighter to watch. His opponent PierreLuc Beaulieu (2-3) is just making his debut for B2L in this match, from earlier fights, you could tell he has the chin to take a shot.. but is his heart anywhere as big as House's? If he wants this fight, he must be careful of House's boxing skills or he will force the referee to stop the fight once again.

*Luke Downer vs Chuck Perry*

A young challenger against a late starter, Luke Downer (1-0) faces the grappler Chuck Perry (2-0) there is just one thing that is safe to say, Downer's takedown defense will need to be at his top if he does not want to tap out or get out grappled to a decision, how else would he beat a seemingly superior grappler on the ground? Keeping the fight there will be a hard task for him no matter what.

*Gary Moskavony vs Carter Shields*

Carter Shields (1-1) great power, but a chin? Who knows.. but his opponent Gary Moskavony (2-0) seems to have the chin to withstand Shields' power, I might be wrong, but heart will be a more important factor for Moskavony as Shields' is way too much for him to handle on the striking, he really needs to mix up his game to steal the victory or he is going to get his ass handed to him by a much superior striker in Shields. For what we know, all Moskavony needs is one takedown to quickly dominate the fight on the ground and get a submission win, leaving the danger zone and adding another nice victory to his record, all he has to do is bring it to the ground.

*Michal Nielamliwy vs Cain Marco*

Michal Nielamliwy (3-0) is soundly a submission specialist, and his opponent Cain Marco (1-1), whom's specialty is to fight on the ground as well, is the one who has the advantage to chose if he will try to strike or to pound his head against the canvas tonight. I would not count on it though, trying to ground and pound a much superior BJJ fighter with not much training yourself could be recipe to getting caught in some sort of submission from the bottom, so giving a good use to his wrestling and keep the fight on the feet should be what could do. Of course, unless he he has the physical skill to avoid being caught in a submission while punching his opponent in the face against the canvas.

*Chucky Little vs Shanzo Miganzo*

In the main event: two strikers. The undefeated Chucky Little (3-0) against another heavy handed fella, Shanzo Miganzo (2-2). These two will indeed be looking to literally take each other's heads off with punches all night long. Little has the reach advantage and two victories by (T)KO so not only he can land more, but he has enough power to do it. Miganzo is going to need to pressure him and not allow him to use this reach or he will be ridiculed if he does not land a KO shot that puts his opponent out cold early in the night. What will we see tonight? A technical boxing match ending in dramatic fashion or a very one sided sparring session? Doesn't matter, it is needless to say that when the night is over, one of these two will have been KTFO and our small crowd will be very pleasured with what has been witnessed tonight.

B2L 8 Preview

Paddy O’Malley, like any Irishman, likes two things, drinking and fighting. So what else would he do with his free time other than open a bar? Seems logical. Paddy likes to take it one step further though. Since he loves fighting, he enjoys hosting professional mixed martial arts matches within the confines of his bar. This time around though, Paddy has outdone himself. Built 2 Last Premier MMA comes back to Paddy O’Malley’s, due to popular demand, for the first time since November 14th. There is about a 0% possibility this fight card will be a disappointment, with features such as the Super-Heavyweight title being on the line, as well as extremely exciting strikers and grapplers stepping into the cage. Additionally, two fighters, Georges Dunston and Steve Fox, will have their first fights. Many people have been waiting for these two to take their first fight, and could be future contenders within the sport. Without any further ado, let’s take a look at this explosive Montreal-based card. I am trembling with anticipation for “(B2L) 8: Not in the face pls”.

“Mad Man” Mike Bremner will be looking for his first win in the first match of the night, a lightweight fight. Bremner has fought twice before, losing both times. The competent boxer and wrestler has shown to have had trouble in the past defending against, or even mounting a strong offense against a grappler in the past. We shall see if he has worked on these problems, as his opponent is a competent wrestler with a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Since winning his first fight by submission 52 seconds into the first round of B2L 5, the world has taken notice of John Helmsley. Helmsley won submission of the night that night, and would love to repeat. With another impressive win, Helmsley would be building a solid name for himself, and look to make a steep climb up the ladder of competition. Look for Helmsley to exploit Bremner’s past failings against strong grapplers in this fight, and take home another submission victory.

In the next fight a twenty-five year old Canadian squares off against a nineteen year old Ukrainian. After losing his first fight by TKO due to strikes in just 19 seconds, Erik Fluggentaggen went back to the drawing board. Realizing losing like that was no way to make a name for himself, he knew he had to step up and make others take notice of him in his second fight. Did he ever. Fluggentaggen dominated all three rounds against his second opponent, winning a unanimous decision. Now Fluggentaggen will attempt to prove the first loss was merely a fluke, as he squares off against fellow middleweight, Vitali Klitschko. This may prove to be a difficult task though, as the nineteen year old is an exception striker, with a bit of a wrestling base. If this fight stays on the feet, Fluggentaggen will be in trouble, as Klitschko will undoubtedly try to test his already suspect chin. My gut tells me that Fluggentaggen’s troubles will not surface in this fight, and the hometown Canadian favorite will win the fight by decision.

“The Gentleman” Nigel York will be making the trip up from New York to fight in our next bout. This wonderful boxer has shown exception skill with his hands in the past, scoring a knockout victory in his premier fight. A boxing match will seem to suit his opponent, Steve Fox, just fine however. Steve will be making his mixed martial arts premier in this fight, and brings to the table superb boxing and proficient wrestling. Look for these two fighters to stand and bang. Unfortunately for Fox however, he is just not as good as his opponent on his feet. There stands the possibility Fox takes this fight to the ground with his much higher level wrestling, but the question remains what he will do once the fight is there, holding only a white belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. York should take this fight and remain unbeaten.

Our first light-heavyweight fight features two fighters with experience. Marcus De Paula enters the ring with a respectable 2-1 record, while his opponent, Pit Bull enters with a 2-0 record. De Paula is a traditional well rounded fighter, with no real weaknesses in his game. Pit Bull is almost exclusively a Muay Thai fighter. This should make for an interesting battle. The question is if De Paula can avoid Bull’s vicious Muay Thai, and still manage to mount an offense. This fight will come down to whether or not De Paula game plans correctly, as he can pretty solidly predict his opponent’s plans. I have faith in his ability to do so, and believe he will either win by submission or decision.

The fifth fight of the night has “possible fight of the night” written all over it. Peter “The Anaconda” Just holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, a testament to his strong submission skills, and adds to it with a good combination of other skills. He shows a bit of a weakness in his boxing, a hole his opponent will look to exploit. Dam “Big” Mouth has already won a fight of the night award. His skills are incredibly well rounded, showing few weaknesses at all. His superior boxing may help him in this fight, and he will need to keep the fight standing if he expects to win. If he goes to the ground, Just will likely take over this fight. Anticipate this fight ending poorly for Mouth, the submission grappling difference may prove to just be too much, and the black belt will make him tap.

A striker vs. grappler match is next on the card. Robbie McSlaughter is a respected Muay Thai fighter in his native New Zealand, and will hope to redeem himself after being knocked out in the first round of his last fight. He will have to use all of his might to keep this fight where he wants it. His opponent, matheus madureira, is a far superior grappler, holding a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Despite his superior grappling though, he will be at an incredible disadvantage at the stand-up. Look for madureira to shoot early and often. If he manages to get his opponent to the ground, the fight will be over rather quickly. Otherwise McSlaughter will likely grind out a striking victory.

Our second new-comer fight is next. Georges Dunston makes his premier against Georges St. Pierre. The eighteen year old Dunston moved to Montreal from Budapest, Hungary to fight in the Built 2 Last fight organization. He has a base in all skills, unfortunately for him, this may not be enough for him in this fight. St. Pierre seems to simply outclass Dunston. Additionally he has the advantage of experience. And the backing Canada. While I hope for Dunston’s sake this young Hungarian finds a way to win, I just don’t see it. I see St. Pierre winning by unanimous decision, through his far superior boxing and wrestling.

The final undercard bout of the night features two middleweights. Nathan “Crusher” Matos is a 23 year old boxer. His wonderful boxing has helped him to accumulate his three previous wins, and may lead to a fourth. Matos has also been working on his other skills to bring a more rounded game into the fight, which will undoubtedly give his opponent, Vance Gates, a challenge. Gates is a mediocre fighter. The eighteen year old has a lot of potential, and experience for someone his age. However, he is completely out-classed in this fight. Matos will likely pick him apart with his vastly superior boxing, and there will be little Gates can do to defend it. Even if Gates managed to bring the fight to the ground, Matos again has the advantage here. Look for Matos to dominate his way to victory, whatever way necessary.

Our co-main event features two fighters maintain two distinctly different styles. Beautiful Boxer is strictly a striker. He lacks any ground game at all. This has not shown to be a problem in the past though, as he prefers to score early knockouts. Hannibal Lecter VIII on the other hand prefers a more rounded game. Watch for Lecter to clinch and try to take the fight to the ground as much as possible. This will negate Boxer’s superior boxing, and allow Lecter to play to his strengths in this fight. There are two possible outcomes to this fight: Beautiful Boxer by knockout in the first minute of the fight or Lecter by decision or submission.

The main event of the night features the two top super-heavyweights squaring off for the B2L championship. Chris “The Killer” Himmin enters the ring touting a perfect 2-0 record. This 25 year old Canadian will likely be the home town favorite. He boasts wonderful wrestling skill to accompany his respectable boxing ability. Chris Murney, his opponent, will look to stuff his takedown attempts though, and use his remarkable boxing to score a knockout in this fight. Murney, a native of the United States, will try to improve his 2-1 record and secure the title. This looks to be an incredibly entertaining bout. I don’t even want to attempt to pick a winner for this fight, as I will undoubtedly be wrong.

There you have it folks, the line up for Saturday’s fight card. This event should feature some incredible fighting, and undoubtedly some surprise endings.

There you have it folks, a new champion in the super-heavyweight division. Once again, I am your reporter, Brian Richardson, reporting live from Paddy O’Malley’s bar here in Montreal. We had an exciting night of fights tonight, and before I get to discussing the main event of the evening, I’d like to recap all of the fights which occurred tonight. As expected, the competition was fierce, and there were some excellent fights to watch. The breakdown of finishes went like this: Six decisions, two knockouts, and two submissions. A pretty good breakdown if you ask me. So let’s take a look at how each fight went.

The first fight of the night was a lightweight fight between Mike Bremner and John Helmsley. If you remember my pre-fight analysis of this fight, you will remember that I saw Helmsley winning this fight comfortably by submission. Comfortably he did. Not seconds into this fight, Helmsley shot a nice double leg takedown taking away any edge Bremner had in this fight. The referee stood them up not long after, in a controversially quick stand up, considering neither fighter had been on the ground very long, and Helmsley was definitely trying to improve his position. We can never know what a referee really sees in a bout, so I won’t grind him too bad. Luckily, this quick standup did not affect the outcome of the fight. Seconds after the standup, this fight was back on the ground. Helmsley then attempted submission after submission, until he finally caught Bremner in a tight arm bar which ended the fight. This submission won Helmsley his second submission of the night in as many fights, he is quickly making a name for himself as a force to be reckoned with in the lightweight division.

The next fight I predicted would be won by Erik Fluggentaggen with the belief that his prior chin problems had been rectified. Well I was right in once sense, his chin held up throughout the fight, lasting until a decision. What I forgot was how superior Vitali Klitschko’s striking is. Klitscho landed 167 of 168 attempted strikes. That’s a 99.4% connection rating, that’s incredible. Fluggentaggen managed to hit his target zero times. That’s perfectly understandable though, when you throw one punch the entire fight. Seriously, how do you step into a fight, any fight, disregard that this was a professional mixed martial arts fight, and throw ONE PUNCH in fifteen minutes of action? That’s embarrassing. Granted, he attempted twelve takedowns, but the keyword here is attempted. He didn’t try to adjust his game plan once it became obvious that this fight wasn’t going to the ground. This fight was just a one sided beat down. Fluggentaggen better get to the gym and work on his striking a little more.

Luckily, I didn’t make the same mistake predicting the next fight, which was nearly equally as lopsided. Nigel York successfully landed 95.4% of his strikes against Steve Fox. When I predicted York would win this, I was not expecting it to be that handedly. Fox, like Fluggentaggen, was essentially useless on his feet, scoring no strikes, at least he tried though, throwing 21 strikes. He also attempted twenty-seven takedowns, almost a takedown every thirty seconds, and scored on one of them. York tried one takedown, and got it. I actually felt bad for Fox at one point, considering this was his first fight as a professional, and he got so badly decimated.

Marcus De Paula knew exactly what his opponent, Pit Bull, intended to do to him in this fight. Pit Bull wanted to clinch, then beat the ever loving shit out of De Paula with his massively better Muay Thai. All De Paula had to do in this fight was avoid the clinch and he might have had a better outcome. I guess that’s easier for me to say as a reporter than a fighter, because Pit Bull caught De Paula in the clinch early, and pounded on him from start to finish. Bull also threw 104 leg kicks, and landed 102 of them. If you don’t think that affected De Paula’s game, you’re so incredibly wrong it hurts. For an idea of how badly this affected De Paula, go down to your local bar, tap some guy on the shoulder, and ask him politely to kick you in the thigh as hard as he can 102 times. If you’re lucky, he’s just some random goon at the bar, and you’ll only be in excruciating pain for about a week, if he happens to be a world-class Muay Thai fighter like Pit Bull, you more than likely will be in a wheel chair for a while.

With the fifth fight I expected Peter Just’s black belt in BJJ to be too much for Dam Mouth, and what do you know, I was right. It was all just a matter of time before Just managed to bring the fight to the ground, and as soon as it got there, it was obviously all over for Mouth. Just’s ability was just too much, scoring with strong ground and pound until Mouth gave up his back, at which point Just sunk the hooks in and won with a rear-naked choke.

I have to be honest, the Robbie McSlaughter, matheus madureira fight surprised me. I expected McSlaughter to spend the fight being cautious of madureira’s takedowns and end up winning by decision through his superior striking. Man was I wrong. McSlaughter came out swinging, knocked madureira down early, cut him open, then finished him off with a TKO caused by countless hooks to his opponent’s face in just 1:38. This impressive display of striking prowess won McSlaughter KO of the night. This knockout victory was nothing short of impressive, and undoubtedly shocked many people as they now will take notice of McSlaughter’s fighting abilities.

The other rookie making a premier tonight, Georges Dunston, did not fair much better than his peer, Fox. He at least scored where he is strong, with four of his five takedown attempts being successful. That was not nearly enough for him to beat George St. Pierre though. St. Pierre slaughtered this poor young man. Once the fight hit the ground, St. Pierre went to work with a vicious ground and pound game, which, eventually, won him the unanimous decision victory.

The final under card was about as much of a mismatch as I predicted. It took all of two punches for Nathan Matos to knockout his opponent Vance Gates. Gates shot in for a takedown, and Matos landed a vicious counter hook right on the button. Gates crumbled like a rag doll, and proved he should have never taken the fight in the first place.

In the co-main event, I believed that as long as Hannibal Lecter VIII made it out of the first minute of the fight, he would be fine against his opponent Beautiful Boxer. Unfortunately for Lecter, this was not the case. He did manage to make it out of that first minute, and in fact lasted the whole fight. He also managed to amount almost no offense, as Boxer picked him apart with superior boxing and Muay Thai. The fight was so lopsided in Boxer’s favor that at a point, the crowd actually began to boo since the fight had became so boring. It’s impressive when you can make a fight so lopsided that the crowd boos how well you’re doing!

Chris Hinmin made his way out to the cage blaring AC/DC’s Thunderstruck. Ironically, he looked pretty thunderstruck himself by the time the fight was over. Hinmin’s wrestling was not enough to secure him the super-heavyweight title tonight. On the other hand, our new super-heavyweight champion, Chris Murney, showed he is worthy of his new position with this fight. He scored with almost all of his strikes, then, almost as if to add insult to injury scored 13 of 14 takedown attempts against Hinmin. Why he continued to take Hinmin down, I do not understand, because Hinmin’s ground and pound was doing significant damage, and added a risk to Murney’s otherwise sure victory. Murney’s overall dominance in this fight secured him the victory, however; it also allows him to have a nice new shiny belt that he can put in his trophy room. Good luck to Murney with his title run, he definitely deserved the belt tonight.

In all, we had an incredibly exciting night of fights tonight, and to show his appreciation, the owner of B2L, Jake Waldren, gave out many bonuses tonight, here is the list of everyone who won an additional bonus tonight:

Chris Murney

Chris Hinmin

John Helmsley

Robbie McSlaughter

Nathan Matos

Peter Just

George St. Pierre

Georges Dunston

matheus madureira

Pit Bull

Marcus De Paula

Nigel York

Steve Fox

Vitali Klitschko

Erik Flugentaggen

Congratulations to all of you, and thank you to all of the fighters who put on an excellent show tonight, we look forward to seeing you all in the future, this is Brian Richardson signing out.

Back by popular demand, Built 2 Last Premier MMA has done it again. What have they done again? Put together an amazing card. After the previous performance, Paddy O’Malley called up Jake Waldren, the owner of B2L, and begged him to host another fight at his bar. He even asked for the event to take place on the busiest night of the year for his bar, Christmas. Apparently patrons of O’Malley’s like to drink away the memory of Christmas as quickly as possible, and really, who can blame them? Mr. Waldren hesitated a bit though. He wasn’t sure if he would be able to put together a successful card on short notice, and convince people to fight on Christmas day. After some deliberation, and talking to some of his key fighters, he decided it was possible, and put together an excellent, exciting card, which even includes a title fight. This just shows the quality of ownership which runs the B2L organization, as well as how great the fighters are within the organization. For this B2L is going back to the old ring which was their tradition until recently when they started incorporating a cage. We shall see if that makes a difference, and additionally, whether or not it will stay. Let’s take a look at the stacked card planned for “(B2L) 9: The stretch run”:

The first fight starts this card off with a bang. Vincent Lontrame, a 21 year old, originally from Detroit, comes into this fight with a misleading 5-7 record, which does not show what he is truly capable of. Back in mid-November he won a submission of the night award, which shows the hard work he has been putting into his Jiu-jitsu is paying off. He followed that showing with a dismal decision loss, which he will no doubt try to put behind him as he enters the ring squaring off against his opponent, Jack Mistigris. Those who believe that name sounds familiar are not mistaken, this will be Mistigris’ third fight for B2L, a career he likely wants to extend. Mistigris suffered a brutal TKO loss in his last bout and will want to show his chin is strong enough to handle Lontrame’s superior Muay Thai. These two fighters are so evenly matched that one would have a difficult time making a bet on it and feeling confident.

Rocc “Hurricane” Fury has suffered a two losses in a row since joining the B2L roster back in mid-November, and will need to win this event to help his chances at staying on that roster. He will likely try to control his opponent with his superior Muay Thai. This may be a very tall task, as he is set to fight Jason Celso. Those watched B2L 6 undoubtedly remember how Celso smashed the opponent, Dan st pierre’s face into the canvas with his vicious ground and pound. There is little doubt Celso will attempt to repeat that experience, trying to use his wonderful wrestling skill to overpower Fury, and cause another early stoppage.

Following that exciting show, comes the most evenly matched fight this writer has ever seen. James Logan, or “Wolverine”, as he likes to be called, will be making his B2L premier in this fight. He will face a tough opponent in Leo Cage, whom has gone 1-1 in his previous B2L fights. Both fighter’s skills are almost identical; Logan has a slight advantage in boxing, but that is it. This fight may come down merely to who is the more intelligent fighter in the ring that night. All I know is I’m glad I am not a bookie trying to make odds on this fight, as it would be nearly impossible. This should be an incredibly exciting fight, I can’t wait to see it.

Middleweight, tar tar tar tar tar, or as he will henceforth be known, T5, has been with B2L since day one, when he was knocked out in the first round by Dan Smith. He has fought twice since then, winning submission of the night at B2L: 3. T5 boasts a very well rounded game, which he will need when he faces off against his opponent pablo mardureira. This will be pablo’s second fight since joining B2L 5. He boasts a wonderful Muay Thai game, which he adds to with respectable boxing. He is largely lacking in ground skills though, a weakness T5 will undoubtedly attempt to exploit. The question will be if T5 is capable of withstanding the barrage of blows which will undoubtedly come his way as he attempts to take the fight to the ground.

Logan Louis enters this next fight hoping to snap a two fight losing streak. This exciting fighter has won two awards for his fights in the past, one fight of the night, and one knockout of the night. The knockout from one of the most vicious slams in the history of the sport; it resembled more of a professional wrestling move than a MMA slam. His opponent, Gedeon Nkuwu, is not intimidated by Louis’ history. Nkuwu, an import from Congo, will look for his second MMA victory. Nkuwu showed an impressively dominating victory over his first opponent, which propelled his reputation enough to fight someone of Louis’ caliber. This could be one of the highlights on an already bright card. Make sure to watch this fight.

Each fight I see on this card seems to make me salivate more in anticipation. The two lightweights, Egg Nok and Jimmy “The Gent” Conway will undoubtedly put on an incredible show. Conway, is a remarkable boxer, a skill he developed as a teen serving prison sentences for mafia related crimes. He also holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and is a veteran of 12 fights. He has done all of this while still only being nineteen years old. Impressive. His twenty-four year old opponent, Egg Nok, will present him with quite a challenge. Egg Nok also has nine fights of experience, including one fight of the night. Nok brings to this fight a well rounded game, which should present many challenges for The Gent. This is yet another match so evenly matched it will be hard to predict.

The ring may break under the combined weight of 589 Lbs which will be entering it in the following match. That’s right, the big boys are coming out. Expect this fight to be a brawl, it may come down to who simply has the stronger chin. Heavy Hnds won his B2L premier with an impressive 37 second knockout against Teyark Olso, another strong striker. Leland Montador on the other hand lost his premier by decision to Chris Murney. Expect Montador to come out looking to make a point that he is in fact a top-notch striker, and desperately try to win this fight. Hnds will not make this easy for him though, and will likely try to add to his legend as one of the most devastating strikers in B2L.

Jack Rice is trying to make a name for himself in our final undercard, a welterweight fight. The 25 year old Brazilian Jiu-jitsu purple belt has had three fights in his career, all with B2L, winning two by submission. This fight will be his biggest yet, potentially skyrocketing him up the ladder of stardom. Marshall Law, his opponent, will by no means make this an easy task. Law, a 25 fight veteran, is no slouch on the ground either, being a BJJ blue belt, and remarkable wrestler. His real strength is in his hands though. His superb boxing will make a difference in this fight, no question about it. Law, on a 2 fight win streak, wants to show that his days as a so-so fighter are behind him, and that he is the future of the B2L welterweight division. At 28 years old, it is definitely time for him to make a splash. Expect Law to try to win this fight decisively with a knockout in his attempts to prove dominance over others in his weight class.

The co-main event of the night pits two welterweight BJJ purple belts against each other. Mikhail Chivitchian, the 25 year old Armenian prodigy, and former UFF champion, has moved to Montreal to make a run at another title. In his previous four fights, he has won three times, two being knockouts of the night, the other a triangle submission. Only once has he had a fight leave the first round. As you can see, Chivitchian is strong both on his feet, and on the ground. His opponent, George St pierre wants to prevent Chivitchian from becoming a household name for B2L viewers. St pierre has had three fights, and won all of them by first round submissions. This 21 year old Canadian will likely try to avoid Chivitchian’s heavy hands and try to take this fight to the ground, leading to an awesome display of grappling, which should be nothing short of exciting.

If by now you haven’t already bought your ticket to see these fights, this fight will sway you to run out the door, jump in your car, run over the dog on your way out of the driveway, speed through a school zone, and park your car inside of O’Malley’s bar to ensure you are the first to purchase a ticket. The main event features two of the greatest middleweights fighting today. Not only that, but both love to scrap. This fight will be a war. “The Secret Weapon” Jose Oquendo, enters this fight 6-0, 4 victories by knockout, two of those knockout of the night, and one fight being fight of the night. That not enough? His opponent, Harry Hammer, is 4-0, 3 knockouts, one knockout of the night. These two love to hit people. Oquendo, sponsored by Fight Club clothing, and fighting out of the Knockout Montreal gym, is a Muay Thai striker, and will likely look to use the clinch to his advantage. This will be necessary, since the opponent, fighting out of the Synergy Fight Team Elite camp, is an strong boxer, and will likely control the stand-up fight outside of the clinch. Don’t rule out the possibility of this fight ending up on the ground either. Both fighters hold a blue belt in BJJ, and Hammer is a wonderful wrestler. This fight could show how complete each fighter is. I am so incredibly excited for this fight that I almost forgot to mention the most important part. This fight is for the B2L middleweight championship! It can’t get much better. In fact, rather than finishing this article I’m going to leave mid-sentence to go buy---

Well… That was definitely a short run as champion for Harry Hammer. Hello fight fans, Brian Richardson here again with a re-cap of all of events which took place tonight here at Paddy O’Malley’s Bar in downtown Montreal. To be honest, I broke normal journalistic protocol, and may have had one or two or fifteen beers to help enjoy tonight’s event… and to drown the memory of the ungrateful family which has decided to disown me for choosing MMA over another Christmas celebration. Those heartless pricks. Don’t they know I do this to put food on the table damn it! They can all go to hell for all I care, assholes. All I really need in life is my fighting and my good buddy, Jack Daniels. Speaking of jerks, how about Gedeon Nkuwu? That prick apparently felt it was more important for him to shove a whole Christmas ham down his gullet than to actually make weight for this fight. Seven pounds overweight for his fight, that’s a newborn baby. That’s okay though, his family probably loves him now, since he could spend Christmas with them. I guess that’s more important than your job. Right, mom? Anyways, besides that setback which caused the first no contest for B2L since the event we no longer speak of (B2L 2) where the main event and co-main event were cancelled, B2L 9: The Stretch Run was a huge success. Seven hundred people crowded into the bar, making it very difficult for me to get a beer, and forcing me to double-fist the entire night, you know, like a champion.

Speaking of champions, B2L has a new one in the middleweight division. Jose Oquendo earned it through a dazzling highlight real deserving kick. Oquendo, despite being taken down twice by the former champion, Harry Hammer, seemed to control the entire fight. When the fight hit the ground, Oquendo would continuously improve his position, leading back to his feet, where he dominated. It was the back to back succession of head kicks which did Hammer in, ending the fight by knockout at 3:05 in the first round, and winning knockout of the night honors for Oquendo. Hammer will undoubtedly have a headache comparable to mine in the morning.

The co-main event also happened to be awarded fight of the night honors, and with good reason. Not because it was necessarily a good fight, but because George St pierre got his ass beat. Twice before Mikhail Chivitchian finally knocked him out, St pierre was rocked, knocked down once, and finally caught a brutal combination. With his face. St pierre just did not appear ready for this fight, being lethargic before he even stepped into the ring. Perhaps a training camp error? Perhaps his father keeping him up all night screaming at him that he will never make anything out of his life making chump change writing stupid articles about mixed martial arts events instead of spending time with his family? We may never know.

Speaking of training camp errors, how about Rocc Fury? That dude needs some training on how to slip a punch. Maybe some neck exercises as well to help with that glass jaw. My god. Two jabs and the guy wilted like a leaf. I could have stepped in that ring and put up a better fight. It took a mere thirty seconds for Jason Celso to knock Fury’s ass out cold. Kind of sad. Maybe he should give up MMA.

While on the subject of giving up, one cannot gloss over the lack of heart shown by Leland Montador. Who submits to being punched? What a pussy. The guy was winning the fight too, it’s not like his opponent, Heavy Hnds, had been dominating the whole fight, and Montador had no real reason to continue. Quite the contrary, the scorecards had Montador winning the first round. So what happened? Did he gas? Or does he just lack the heart to fight at this level of competition?

I’ll tell you two guys who absolutely do have heart though, my boys T5 and pablo madureira. What an awesome fight. Those two went at each other with force from the word go. In the first minute of the first round, T5 was knocked down by a slick 1-2 combo by madureira, rocking him. T5 fought his way back, though. For the next three rounds, it was a constant barrage of takedowns, strikes, ground and pound, and submissions. In my opinion, this was the real fight of the night. Chivitchian’s win was impressive, but this fight was a war from start to finish, including a comeback by T5 after being rocked very early, very impressive.

The most dominating fight had to be Marshall Law’s fifty second knockout of Jack Rice. Rice did not even appear to have a chance in the ring. All eight of his attempted punches missed. Law on the other hand, managed to hit every one of his shots. Much in the same fashion which won Oquendo his shiny new belt, Law landed a back to back series of head kicks, ending Rice’s night early. Maybe we were watching another champion in the making in the final under card of the night?

Vincent Lontrame started off the night with an impressive come-from-behind victory. Jack Mistigris won the first round on all cards with his superior stand up. After that, it was all Lontrame. He managed his win mostly by controlling his opponent, not allowing him to actually perform in the fight. Smothering him. Kind of like my parents try to do to me. Pricks.

Well, James Logan no longer has to worry about continuing on unbeaten. He got steamrolled by Leo Cage. Cage showed the power of being the superior wrestler in their fight, as he seemingly took Logan down at will, taking away Logan’s striking advantages. Once on the ground, Cage smothered his opponent with a barrage of submission attempts and ground and pound. Logan appeared lost. After three rounds of his, the judges made the right decision, and awarded Cage the win, and Logan his first loss.

Egg Nok also showed the power of wrestling, just in a different way. He managed to stuff seventeen of his opponent, Jimmy Conway’s eighteen takedown attempts. While Conway exhausted himself failing to bring the fight to where he wanted it, Nok picked him apart with countless accurate strikes, which made it even harder for Conway to attempt to win the fight. While Nok’s punches rarely landed, it was the kicks that really won the fight for him. One thing Conway definitely has going for him is a chin, though. He managed to take thirteen head kicks without once being rocked, impressive. Unfortunately, ability to take punishment doesn’t win fights, otherwise I’d be champion of the world. What wins fights is a superior strategy, Egg Nok had it, and got the nod for the W.

In all, an excellent night of fights. The following eleven fighters will be given bonuses for their fights tonight:

Jose Oquendo

Mikhail Chivitchian

George St pierre

Marshall Law

Jack Rice

Heavy Hnds

Leland Montador

T5

pablo madureira

Jason Celso

Rocc Fury

Congratulations to all of them. Now I must bid you ado, as I attempt to drown my broken life some more as I attempt to create a new drink by mixing different types of vodka, rum, and whiskey, wish me luck!

People often ask me, “Brian, how did you manage to score such an awesome job? All you do all day is interact with MMA fighters, watch events, and write stories. You’re doing what you love, and what many people dream to do.” Well, I intend to answer that question is a couple of parts. First, I paid for a really good fake journalism degree from some website I found on Google (it only cost me $200!). Second, I annoyed the living shit out of some organization owners to let me write about their organization. Third, and most importantly, the visionary leader, Jake Waldren, who runs Built 2 Last Premier MMA saw potential in me, that I had an inner drive to cover these stories which was unmatched, and I could actually produce something great (either that or he was desperate, and thought my degree from South Eastern Miami Community College was legitimate). B2L 10: New Year’s Jam shows more than anything else how much of a visionary Mr. Waldren is. Each event, Waldren seems to try something different, searching for what attracts viewers to his shows the most. At B2L 10, he is bringing back the cage. Additionally, he is trying something never tried before by the organization, he’s testing a new 10-point must system for the judges to score fights. We shall see how this affects the fights taking place. This shall be the first event of the new year ran by B2L, and should be extremely exciting. Let’s take a look at the fights set to take place.

Never shy to back away from explosive fights, B2L starts off with a bang usually only heard out of a Mossberg shotgun. What else would you expect from them? “Mr. Mombasa” Shanzo Miganzo, the twenty year old Kenyan Light-Heavyweight, has already won one fight of the night, and one knockout of the night award during his career. He has shown impressive power in the past, and has strong wrestling to back up his exceptional boxing skill. Miganzo will need every bit of his exceptional cardio, and large heart against his undefeated eighteen year old opponent, Bret McCoy. McCoy, coming from the small town of Wayne, West Virginia, has an opposite approach to fighting. Rather than stand and fight, McCoy uses his remarkable wrestling ability to bring fights to the ground. From there he typically grinds out a victory through submission attempts and ground and pound. It should be interesting to see whose style prevails in this fight.

Two fights, two awards, that’s how Dutch Hand rolls. This Zimbabwean has some of the most impressive wrestling skills seen on the scene today. That’s good, because his stand-up is pitiful. That’s how he lost his last fight, his opponent game planned in advance, knowing Dutch had no chance in the fight if he kept it standing. Dutch also showed a weakness in that fight, developing a nasty gash before he was knocked out. One has to wonder if all the years he spent wrestling has lead to a higher probability of him being cut by accurate shots. I imagine Tyson Storm, his opponent noticed this watching tape of his opponent’s last fight, and will intend to game plan against it. Tyson, like Hand’s last opponent, will most likely look to keep this fighting standing as well. While Tyson does not world class striking abilities, they are significantly better than Hand’s, and he has just enough wrestling to keep the fight standing. Should be interesting to see if Tyson can successfully win his first MMA bout.

In our third bout imma truth, from Azerbaijan, where names are not capitalized, will be fighting Jan Veavatne. This bout will come down to intelligence versus determination. In his first fight, truth dominated his opponent with a successful use of the clinch, and through sheer determination willed his way to victory. Veavatne, we are told, has very high fighting intelligence. This was not exactly shown in his first fight, unfortunately, as he walked straight into a right hand and got his ass knocked the fuck out. It is worth noting that his first opponent was Henry Hammer, you know, the guy who just fought in the championship fight against Jose Oquendo. So, it’s kind of unfair to judge him by just that one fight, this fight should show Veavatne’s true skills, and we will know whether he is as good as people say he is.

Are you ready for a wrestling match? I know I am, and that’s a good thing, because in the fourth fight, we get to watch two of the very best wrestlers in B2L step into the cage. Peter Vulture won his first fight by decision. He won that fight by taking the other fighter to the ground and unleashing some impressive ground and pound on him. The question is whether or not that tactic will work on his opponent, Remy Lee, who has the exact same fighting style. Who will shine as the better ground and pound fighter? Or will Vulture use his superior striking to win this fight? It’s definitely something keeping an eye out for and I can’t wait to watch it.

Hopefully Luke Downer has worked on defending submissions better since the last time we saw him fight in B2L. Downer faces his second BJJ brown belt in a row, the first won by Americana in the third round. The key for Downer is to keep this fight on his feet, which may not be difficult, considering his opponent, Logan Louise is not exceptionally skilled in wrestling. If by some chance, Louise gets this fight to the ground, Downer’s night is almost definitely over. Louise, an eighteen year old BJJ brown belt, has already won two fights in his MMA career by submission. If Downer can keep it on his feet, he’ll win, if you don’t think he will be able to, get on the phone with your bookie right now, and tell him you want Louise.

Remy Garmin claims to be an Olympic gold medalist in wrestling. A quick Google search reveals no such information, but what is undeniable is that he really is a quality wrestler. It is questionable whether or not it will be sufficient for him to earn a victory on New Year’s day though. While he will unquestionably rule the wrestling department in this fight, his opponent, Dean Perry, is actually more skilled once the fight hits the canvas. Perry, in addition to being a proficient boxer, is a BJJ purple belt. This will undoubtedly cause problems for Garmin in this fight, as it cancels out his preferred, “takedown, strike, strike, strike, submission attempt” method of fighting, as Perry will not only be able to submit Garmin, but will have the skill to grapple for better position, nullifying the wrestler’s ground and pound tactics. Undoubtedly, this is the fight I am most excited to watch.

Rob Gurgel will be fighting jose madureira in the seventh bout of the night. Gurgel was knocked out in his first B2L fight, and will come into this fight looking to avenge his only loss. He has been working hard at the gym, and it is known that he really wants to win this fight. The Brazilian, jose madureira, whose family at one point in history lived in Azerbaijan, wants to produce a repeat of Gurgel’s first B2L fight. He has world class striking ability, and will want to knock his opponent out quickly. The quick knockout is madureira’s only real chance in this fight though, as his ground game is non-existent. I expect to see jose come out swinging wildly for the fences, and if he connects, this could be the shortest fight in the history of B2L.

Our final under card pits Travis Ramsey in a three round duel with Maximilien Robespierre. Again, another very interesting match up. Both fighters have excellent wrestling abilities, but I would not bet on this fight ever seeing the canvas. Ramsey has unfortunately been stuck with back to back no contests, as his opponents failed to make it to the fight on time. This only means that Ramsey has had a considerable amount of time to train since his last fight, all the way back in September, which he won by decision. Expect Ramsey fired up and ready to fight after such a long lapse without a fight. His opponent, Robespierre, will be no pushover. Robespierre has some nasty Muay Thai skills, and even nastier elbows, which have lead to his two previous victories. Ramsey will almost undoubtedly walk out of the ring with a cut. Hopefully, for Ramsey’s sake and the sake of the fans, the cut is not the reason for the fight to end, as we all prefer to watch fighters fight to the finish rather than be stopped by cuts. This should definitely play out interestingly.

The co-main event features two fighters with 2-1 records. Troy Johnson Johnson has spent his entire career fighting in B2L. He enters this fight riding a two fight winning streak, one by TKO, the other by decision. At nineteen, he has established a base level of knowledge in all aspects of MMA, and will likely need all of his knowledge to beat his opponent, Cain Marco. Marco is a wonderful wrestler. He can also win on his feet, as he proved in his first B2L fight, which he won by decision. This combination could spell trouble for Johnson Johnson. The question is, where will Marco decide to have this fight take place, as his wrestling skills will undoubtedly be the determining factor as to where these two fighters duke it out. It should be interesting to see where Marco feels he has the advantage.

And then there were two. The main event features two of the biggest names in B2L’s stable of Heavyweight fighters. Michal Nielamliwy enters this fight 3-1, incidentally suffering his first loss in his last fight against Cain Marco. The twenty-three year old Polish fighter trains out of New World MMA, holds a brown belt in BJJ, and has achieved all three of his victories by way of submission; one of those submission of the night. His opponent is twenty-six year old Hunter Adams. Hunter, fighting out of Cozad MMA, has a two fight win streak at his back, and intends to extend it. Adams holds a purple belt in BJJ himself, but adds to his arsenal with respectable boxing skills. We shall see in the main event whether or not those boxing skills will hamper Nielamliwy’s ability to fight the ground fight he undoubtedly wants. Interesting match-up to finish off a strong card, I can’t wait to see it.

World's Collide Preview

Jake Waldren very well may have lost his mind. Not one. Not two. No, Three. Yes, three. Three what? Title fights. That’s right, the owner of B2L, Jake Waldren put together a card featuring three title fights on the same card. I tried to talk him out of it. “Come on man, spread it out a bit, my mind might explode if there’s three title fights on one card. You may even piss of the gods by surmounting their awesomeness.” He wasn’t hearing it though. So now we have the pleasure of watching three titles being battled for for the first time. The welterweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight titles will all be on the line. Before I start discussing those, though, let’s take a look at the rest of the card.

Both of the fighters in the first match are coming off of first round victories in their previous fight. Shinya Aoki managed a 44 second submission on his last opponent, and Angus MacAngus a triangle at 4:26. Both have rather different histories in their professional careers. At this point, Aoki is only 3-2, and struggled when he first entered organized competition. MacAngus, on the other hand, has developed an 8-3 record, and shined when competition is at it’s highest. MacAngus is even a former champion in the now defunct Waldo Cage Fighting in New York. After losing his title, MacAngus took seven months off from the sport. Many thought he was considering retirement after his solid run. It turned out he spent that time training, and it paid off, with his victory in his last fight. Now MacAngus seeks to return to his old glory days, and his first step will be getting past the excellent grappling skills which Shinya Aoki possesses. Will Aoki manage the upset over the veteran favorite?

Remember Robbie McSlaughter’s first round knockout at B2L 8? Of course you do, stupid question, it was so impressive he won the fight of the night award. Well after that match, he earned himself a chance to avenge his only loss. That’s right, McSlaughter is climbing back in the cage with Nigel York. York also fought at B2L 8, winning a unanimous decision over Steve Fox. More importantly, though, York won his first fight as a professional against McSlaughter. The first fight was a one-sided drumming by York, whose striking skills are generally out of this world. We shall see if McSlaughter has progressed as a fighter since the first fight between these two, and whether or not he will be capable of avoiding the knockout McSlaughter will be aiming to repeat.

In the fight between Dan st pierre, and Vance Gates, one of the fighters will, finally, walk out of the cage with a mark in the W column. Neither has won a fight in their combined five fights, a testament to how difficult MMA competition truly is, because neither fighter can be classified as a slouch. Gates, in the past, has shown the most troubles. His four fights look like this: Submission, submission, submission, KO. Not an excellent way to start your career, and he will undoubtedly be coming out to this fight with aims to win no matter what. Don’t be surprised to see him swinging for the fences at the word go, in hopes of saving his name as a fighter. Dan, on the other hand, may have just been on the unlucky receiving end of an excellent series of strikes by the dangerous Jason Celso. If his first fight does in fact prove to be a fluke of a young fighter not being experienced enough in the cage, and getting caught, he may have an easy victory against the struggling Gates.

Let’s not get off of the subject of Vance Gates just yet. His last fight he lost by knockout to none other than Nathan Matos. Matos enters the cage on the 7th to fight another struggling fighter, Dam Mouth. Mouth, who has some impressive skills has not made it out of the first round in either of his B2L fights. Jose Oquendo, B2L’s middleweight champion, knocked Mouth out with a demolishing head kick, and Peter Just caught him in a rear naked choke. If he wants his B2L career to last, he will have to win this fight. The 4-2 Matos will not lay down and hand him a win. With his wonderful striking abilities, and known knockout power, Matos will cause Mouth a lot of problems. It appears Mouth’s only chance is to bring this fight to the ground.

Two eighteen year olds will be making their B2L premier in the subsequent fight; EJ Resparzo will be making his professional premier. Resparzo maintains some impressive ground fighting skills, holding a brown belt in BJJ, coupled with wrestling and boxing skill, he has to be the favorite entering this fight, despite his lack of experience. Lando Gracie is no pushover, though. Gracie has gone undefeated in his first two fights, winning both by decision. Unfortunately for Gracie, all of his skills are overshadowed by Resparzo. One thing we know about Gracie, though, is he is a determined little bastard. That heart may make a difference in this fight, plus the cage experience that Gracie brings to the fight.

John Helmsley is probably the best grappler B2L has seen. In his two professional fights, both with B2L, Helmsley has won submission of the night both times. Quite an honor. Neither of the fighters he has faced in the past have secured a win in their career, which is important to note. For the first time, he enters the cage against a combatant who has won in his professional career. Thomas Pollard is traditionally a Muay Thai fighter, but simultaneously holds pretty proficient skill on the ground, as he showed in his past fight, winning by submission. This fight will be a litmus test for Helmsley, to see if he is actually talented, or has lucked out with his previous competition.

Tony Douglass has fought for B2L in all three of his fights, won all of those fights by knockout, and earned two knockout of the night awards. Think that record is impressive? Look at Avtomat Kalashnikov’s. Despite this being his first fight in B2L, Kalashnikov has earned the right to fight for the heavyweight championship. Hold on a second. Did I say heavyweight championship? Yeah. I did. Here’s the part where you look at me with a crazy look in your eye and say, “But… but, Brian. This isn’t even the final undercard bout, I thought there were only three title fights? What is going on? My head is going to explode?!” Trust me, I understand. I had the same reaction when I first saw the card. The only justification I have created for myself at this point is that Jake Waldren didn’t want us all to lose our minds with a succession of three title fights in a row. Paying for damages caused by rioters is expensive. Anyways, back to the topic at hand Kalashnikov’s record. Kalashnikov used to fight for SFO. He actually got his start fighting in the inaugural Become a Made Man tournament, which he won. Since then, he has split fights, and apparently, either SFO didn’t want to retain him, or Waldren made the Made Man an offer he couldn’t refuse. What we do know is this exciting fighter will be coming into the ring smelling blood, and looking to win a belt. It will be interesting to see if this fight makes it out of the first round, as neither fighter has ever fought out of the first round. This fight could come down to who has the better gas tank as we enter the later rounds of this fight.

Now for what I call the enigma fight. Not to disrespect either of these fighters, I just don’t understand how this follows that title fight, which will undoubtedly be a fight of the night contender. Beautiful Boxer is 2-0 as a professional fighter, both fights taking place within the B2L cage. Boxer wins his fights using his incredible striking skills. Luckily for Boxer, he has never really faced a fighter with impressive grappling skills, since as good as his striking is, his ground work is among the worst in the business. His opponent, george st. pierre, will finally put Boxer to the challenge. Also undefeated, st pierre will be the largest challenge Boxer has had so far, as far as grapplers are concerned. This is not all, though, st pierre actually won his first fight on his feet. This shows he can adapt and overcome. This should be a good fight, and a good filler between the three title fights of the night.

The second title fight, a battle at light heavyweight, features two undefeated strikers, with rather different styles. Pit Bull likes to win his fights by wearing out his opponents. In his last two fights, he has thrown over 80 leg kicks per match. If that is not enough for him to secure victory, he tends to clinch up with his opponent, and deliver a succession of elbows, with malicious intent, hoping to end the fight with a cut, which is how he won his first fight. In contrast, Chucky Little just looks to demolish opponents. His two fights in B2L have lasted less than two minutes. Combined. He has won four total, and only one fight has made it out of the first round, his first, a three round decision. We shall see in this fight which style is more effective, the brutal kicker, or the demolishing flasher.

The main event features two of the only members of B2L worthy of headlining a card like this. Marshall Law is one of the most experienced fighters in the world of MMA. With sixteen victories under his belt, the twenty eight year old fighter admits this may be one of his last chances at a title. Having lost his previous three attempts at a belt in the defunct DFC in Las Vegas, Law has fought everywhere, and recently pulled off a string of three straight victories vaulting him to a fight of this level. Recent quotes from Law hint that if he does not win this fight, retirement may be on the horizon. Mikhail Chivitchian hopes to earn the title of legend killer in addition to the championship in this fight. Chivitichian, unlike Law, has shown an ability to shine in moments like these, having previously held the title for the now bankrupt UFF in New York. Since losing that title, he showed up here in B2L, beat George St pierre (not the same one in the final undercard bout, obviously), and earned this title shot. This will be an incredibly tough battle for both fighters, one I cannot wait to see.

Chincheck Preview

As if the three title fights on the 7th were not enough, Built 2 Last went out, and made another event, B2L 11: Chincheck, which will take place on the 8th! This event features the fourth title bout in two days. This time Egg Nok will take on Max House for the lightweight championship. In addition to that, there is a full card of exciting fights which will take place. If you are a fan of MMA, B2L is obviously the promotion to watch, as they are throwing a continuous litany of top notch fights at you every week, sometimes on back to back days!

PierreLuc Beaulieu is coming off a recent loss to tonight’s title contender, Max House. Having lost his last two bouts, Beaulieu is looking to turn things around, and get back to winning ways. If you watched B2L 7, you absolutely remember Michael Jimenez’s second round dominating TKO victory. Entering this fight with a mixed 2-2 record, Jimenez will be looking for another dominating victory. This fight looks very much like Jimenez’s to lose. Being an good striker is important for anyone, but compound the fact that Jimenez does not go to the ground easily, and when there holds a purple belt in BJJ, you have a seriously dangerous combination. This is compounded by Beaulieu’s preference to win by submission, and only being a blue belt. Obviously, this may be a difficult match for Beaulieu to end is losing streak.

Crusher Jackson impressed people with his come from behind unanimous decision victory when he fought his first professional fight. Having both boxing and wrestling skills helped him out with that victory, many did not even expect him to attempt takedowns, like he did. That surprise factor will not be available again as he enters the cage to fight Alan Ringseal. In fact, the element of surprise will be in Ringseal’s favor as he will be fighting his first professional bout. Ringseal, we are told, is a strong wrestler, as well as having skills which make him capable of fighting a fight anywhere. The interesting question is what his plans will be in this fight, and being unable to be sure of Ringseal’s plans may really hurt Jackson in this fight as far as game planning.

Fabio Huerta fought his first fight in June of 2009. He has been around as long as some of the biggest names in the sport. To date, he has not gotten his big break as a fighter, and has stuck around the lower levels of competition. He is definitely not someone to sleep on though, as he won his B2L premier by submission, and has won seven of his nine fights by submission. Hannibal Lecter VIII has gone 2-1 since joining B2L, having lost his last match by decision to the elite Beautiful Boxer. Lecter showed life towards the end of that fight, and many felt he won the final round. So far, Lecter has gone 1-1 fighting BJJ brown belts, losing the first by submission, and winning the more recent fight by decision. We shall see if he can now win a fight over someone as talented on the ground as Huerta has proven to be.

Georges Dunston got dominated in his first career fight against George St Pierre. Dunston managed to land 4 of his 5 takedown attempts, but that was about the extent of his control in the fight. St Pierre continuously would reverse position, and smash Dunston with ground and pound. It was an important learning experience for Dunston, teaching him the importance of expanding his fighting game a bit more, to include strikes, rather than just rely on his wrestling abilities. He will need that new knowledge when entering the cage to fight Lucas Nogueira. Nogueira is making his professional debut, and will likely cause a lot of problems for Dunston. Nogueira is a better wrestler, neutralizing Dunston’s preferred style, and is about equal in all other areas. This fight is a very close and interesting match up that I am looking forward to seeing the results of.

Serguei Iganashov enters his first B2L fight with the best record of anyone even joining the family without having fought in another org before. At 5-0, Iganashov will be looking to extend his winning streak, using his wonderful boxing skills, which have helped him to win 4 of his fights by way of (T)KO. His opponent, Kick Flip, while not yet compiling an equally impressive record, is also undefeated. Flip has won his first two fights by way of decision, usually using a ‘lay and pray’ system. In his first professional fight, all he did was take his opponent down. In fact, that was all the action the entire fight. While this may not be as showy and impressive as the way Iganashov uses to win, no one can claim it is not an effective system. The largest question in this fight however, is whether or not Flip will be able to take Iganashov down, considering he is the best wrestler he has faced to date.

If there were a sure bet in any fight on this card, it would be that the next match will be battled out by the two fighters on their feet. When you put two super heavyweights with wonderful boxing skills and enough wrestling to keep them on their feet, ‘fight of the night’ is definitely a possibility. Both Bobby Leo and Teyark Olso have won all of their fights by way of knockout. Only Olso had been knocked out before, though. Leo’s better chin may be the determining factor in this fight, as there is almost no doubt these two will come out and swing for the fences in this one. If you are a fan of watching two giant men beat the ever loving crap out of each other in a ring, don’t miss this fight.

While on the subject of big boys who like to knock people out, how about Oleg Sladkov? In his last appearance, at B2L 7, Sladkov won Knockout of the Night honors for his nine second knockout of Big Buster. Sladkov enters the cage to take on one of his toughest challenges yet, the undefeated Kenyon star. Kenyon, like Sladkov, is a striker. So far, star has not shown the knockout power that we know Sladkov has. We do know that star has a good chin, though, which may make a huge difference in this fight. If Kenyon’s chin can withstand some of the punishment that it will undoubtedly take from Sladkov, Kenyon may be able win decision. Or maybe I’m looking at this the wrong way, and maybe star will score a five second knockout and surprise the world. We’ll see.

The final undercard features two 1-0 welterweight fighters. Willie Boyd, fighting out of New York, is the better boxer of the two. Tyrese Jennings, however, has the better Muay Thai. Those are the only differences between these two very similar fighters on paper. On paper, this should be an incredibly exciting, close match. I believe Boyd may have more heart, though, evidenced by his come from behind victory in his first match. If this belief holds true, we can look for Boyd to walk away still undefeated, and looking to take the welterweight division by storm.

If you’re a fan of grappling matches, the co-main event is the fight for you to watch. Gary Moskavony has won all three of his fights by way of submission. He has not, at this point, fought anyone who is quite as good as Tche Bagual on the ground. This causes an interesting situation. If Moskavony keeps this fight standing, he can win hands down, as he undoubtedly has the better striking skill. One has to wonder how willing he will be to change his normal game plan. This fight will all come down to whether or not Moskavony’s game plan entering the fight, if he fails to adapt, expect him to accept his first loss to the superior grappler, Bagual.

When titles are on the line, fights are always exciting. Both fighters are willing to fight their hearts out in their attempt to seize the moniker of champion. The battle for this lightweight championship will be no different. Interestingly, it appears both fighter’s parents were thirsty when naming them as well, considering the fight pits Egg Nok against Max House. The coffee man, Max House, is a favorite in this fight, and with very good reason, he’s already beaten Egg Nok. He dominated his way to a unanimous decision victory all the way back at B2L 2. Since then, House has won back to back submission victories. Nok learned a lot from that fight, though, and considers it a huge turning point in his career. Until then, he had struggled as a fighter with a 3-4 fighter, since then he has secured back to back victories, due to diligent training, and has earned himself a rematch, and a title fight. This fight will be the true test for Nok, can he beat the man who changed his career? Or will he step back into the shadows of mediocrity? There’s only one way to find out, watch this fight. I hope to see you there with me at Paddy O’Malley’s. If you do, make sure you offer me a free beer.

B2L 12 preview

Ladies and gentleman, welcome to B2L 12. Tonight you just can't miss the action here as we have a lot of interesting matches, and well if that's not enough, guess what? we have TWO titles on the line tonight and either of these could end VERY dramatically.

Jack Mistigris (1-2) is a hard hitter, despite never ending a fight by KO you can easily see how he rocks his opponents head with everything he throws. James Logan (1-1) will try to climb his way to the top after losing in his debut by having his ground game exposed by a superior wrestler, but he displayed a really good chin after he ate so many ground strikes, this time he gets to face another striker, so we will get to see much more of him in what he does best.

Making his debut for B2L is Josh "Braker" Bernardes (1-0) whom apparently has a really dangerous ground game, and also making his debut tonight, we have his opponent Rado "Razor" McDonald (1-0) whom has a pretty good striking. Both of these are really good at what they do, and only one will leave with a victory in their debut fight. McDonald should keep this on the feet long enough and don't allow Bernardes to survive in order to win or he will just start tapping as soon as he is down.

Jason Celso (2-1) has never gone out of the first round, in fact, I don't even think the combined time of his fights sum up to one whole round yet, but this time he is going to face a really tough guy, this is Vincent Lontrame (6-7) a fighter who not only has chin, but he has heart, and having never been T/KO'd in his whole career, it is doubtful Celso can do it, but who knows, it will be a close fight for sure and probably will make many people nervous when the decision is announced.

Harry Hammer (4-1) came undefeated into a titleshot, but he lost this streak once he found himself sleeping in the middle of the mat, but he won't let that put him out, not only he is confident, he also has brutal KO power, having finished all of his fights in B2L by TKO prior to facing the champion. Wesley Snow (3-1) is making his debut here with a decent record, the submission specialist might not be as strong as Hammer but he can indeed outscore him with his technical striking; now, he probably doesn't want himself to be mounted on this one or it will be over in about a minute.

Two journeymen go at it as Jimmy Conway (5-8) faces Bobby Earl (1-5) this fight is going to be just incredible as we get to see one of the strongest chins against a guy with really technical striking. I certainly can't wait for this one, it's going to be hell of a fight.

Now moving up to the big guys, we have an interesting match up in the heavyweight division, Steve Fox (0-1) is billed as a boxer whom has very good kicks, and an amazing wrestling background which he can use to keep the fight standing, and against Gedeon Nkuwu (1-0) it's going to be pretty useful as he is adept in all areas, but he will only choose to fight in one tonight, will he try to strike or grapple?

Mike Frazier (0-1) is really decent boxer and he is facing no less than another good boxer in Logan Louis (4-5), the big difference here will be the ability to take the fight wherever you want, and the privilege belongs to Louis as he possesses a very decent back ground in wrestling, so unless Frazier knows what to do once he is on his back, or at least has an idea of what dirty boxing is, he could be in for a very long night.

"I have the HEAVIEST hands in MMA today!" is what the challenger: Heavy Hnds (2-2), says, which I could be very close to believe, because the only fights that go the distance have been against guys whose chins are otherworldly, however, I'm going to believe him if he is capable of laying out the champion, Chris Murney (3-1) whom is a good striker himself, this fight is going to end in a blink of an eye, because both of these guys are so adept in striking having so much chance to knock the other out, that it's going to come down to who lands the hardest shots once they start throwing punches at each other. I just hope they don't get tired going for the finish as it would be a waste to see such a good title fight lose it's shine due to poor conditioning. A technical war is not bad either, but if it ends with a KO, it's going to be the perfect mix.

Ma Chao (5-5) has returned to his winning ways and after this, he is making his debut for B2L tonight, and an undefeated, and also making his debut, Ricky "Americanzi" Stanzi (2-0) is here to make up for a great fight. A guy with a solid ground game, could possibly get the fight to the mat easily and let it be over, but the same is said if it stays standing; so either way, we are looking at a potential Sub/KO of the night fight.

Peter "The Anaconda" Just (3-1) is tonight's challenger for the undefeated champion: "The Secret Weapon" Jose Oquendo's (7-0) title. Now, both of these guys LOVE to finish, and Just's grappling might be more than enough to crown a new champion, but man, all Oquendo needs tonight, and always, is that VICIOUS head kick which he has been given his nickname for, however, it's no secret that leg is going to end up in Just's head if he is not careful tonight. I wonder what kind of strategy has Oquendo prepared if the fight happens to go to the mat, it's going to be really hard for him to stand up, but then again the same can be said for Just, because it's going to be a pain to strike with Oquendo at this level. The pressure is on Oquendo, let's see how he handles putting not only a championship but an undefeated record on the line; Just has nothing to lose. And another curious fact is that most of these guys fights end in the first round so don't expect a war, you know, this is going to end up in brutal fashion and reeeaaallyy fast.

B2L 13 Preview:

Heeyy welcome to 'Built 2 Last 13' tonight's event is titled: Maximum Overdrive; and you will find out why soon, make sure you stay on your seats, be in on the bottom line or in the cage-side, you cannot miss anything of this guys.

Leo Cage (2-1) made his debut here with us in B2L and ever since his first loss, he has gone 2-0 against the other competition, this time fighting a well seasoned boxer in Vitali Kitschko (2-0) will be the new test. Klitschko has been working a lot on his wrestling so he can keep the fight standing, but man, Leo is strong, may be able to ragdoll Klitschko if he knows to avoid exchanging punches with him. Damn, this could easily not go to the judges.

The last night we saw Ivan Sampaio (1-0) he really showed that he packs a punch, brutally knocking out his opponent with a right hand. I don't have the slightest idea of what Rob Gurgel (2-1) has in mind coming into this fight, what kind of gameplan will he pick? He's going to get knocked out if he decides to strike with Sampaio, so I'm guessing (no shit) that he is going to try and take this to the mat and dominate this with superior grappling.. what other chance does he have for a potential KO of the night fight?

Jason Voorhees (2-3) has one of the most interesting skillsets and he has some sick clinch in MT and mixed up with his wrestling makes it very hard to take him down.. however, he can take you down as well and use his BJJ against you. But what is so useful against this varied skill set when you face someone who can put you out at any given second? Bobby Leo (3-2) just made his debut for B2L with an amazing KO victory in the third round, what a beast, he really is capable of finishing fights, any of them could really get finished this time around, heart is going to be required for these two.

Bret McCoy (2-1) is by now well known for his background in wrestling and his ever-improving BJJ skills. Techno Viking (1-0) has a very unorthodox style, so I have no idea what he will try against such a good grappler, if he is smart enough, he will avoid the grappling and try to pick him appart with his striking, which should be enough in this fight to achieve a victory.

In the light-heavy' division we have an up and comer Mahtava Emppe (2-0) fighting here for the first time, and being his welcome fight, awaits Robert Matthews (1-2). Matthews definitely wants this on the ground, striking with a technical hard hitter is going to be no easy task, and if he tries, he will probably go to sleep earlier than expected.

BJJ specialist Jan McDougall (1-0) fights for B2L for the first time and will test himself against Tar Tar Tar Tar Tar (2-2) (also, what kind of parents would name their child like this.. what his this world turned into? not to mention this guy is 26 years old, so it's not some sort of stupid fad from the 90's). Enough said, I haven't seen McDougall trying to strike at all so there must be a reason for this.. outscoring Tar is not going to be easy anyway.

Mike Bremner (0-3) and Victor Dragonov (0-1) both looking for their first victory since the start of their careers, so I guess it's time for one of them to win and the better fighter will walk out with their first victory tonight, there we go, to the death! Or to the ring of the bell as well.. fine; this is going to be really hard fought.

Bernardo Lima (1-0) and his wrestling background is going to be the greatest advantage he could have over Imma Truth (1-1). Truth needs to keep this on the feet to find any success.

EJ Resparzo (0-0) has one of the best backgrounds in martial arts despite his young age, he already has a brown belt level in BJJ and his wrestling is more than enough to take the fight to the ground. George St Pierre (3-1) is really decided to win this fight, but anything he is good at, Resparzo does best, so chins and hearts will be put to the line in this fight, do not miss this, it is about to give a 720 spin to the 170 division.

Ivan Petrov (2-0) comes right away to a main event status into B2L due to his two back to back decision victories, but his technical boxing background is something to brag about too, this is going to be a really good fight once him and Gregory St Pierre (2-1) we will see nothing but a war, both are pretty evenly matched and it is just going to get better as the fight goes on, as both of them have the cardio to go the distance, way to go on this main event, even if there is no finish, everyone will be satisfied with this match up.

Welcome to Built 2 Last: To the Flipside; this card is featuring lots of big fights in the lightweight and in the welterweight division. Not only that, the 170 title is on the line tonight and the co-main event features the big guys in the heavyweight division, so please stay here to see what's this going to be all about!

First fight of the night features Travis Ramsey (2-0) against Greg Bryant (1-2). This bout is going to include a lot of wrestling due to the fact that these two have decent habilities in this discipline, Ramsey is an amazing dirty boxer, controlling and landing punches from the clinch; while Bryant is more of a GnP/submissions guy, he seems to be really quick to take fights to the mat and set up submissions with his brutal GnP. I wonder if we will even see any sort of fighting from outside of the clinch tonight.

Maximilien Robespierre (2-3) is one of the most interesting journeymen in the business, while he seems pretty good at finishing opponents, he has trouble going the distance, maybe it's his conditioning that doesn't allow him to perform as he would wish to, and tonight he's fighting a tough bone to crack in Angus MacAngus (9-3) who has only been finished by submission, something that is not Robespierre's strength, however, who knows Robespierre might be the first in 12 men to put his lights out?

George St Pierre (1-0) is a well rounded grappler with enough stand up game to avoid getting hurt standing up against most of his opponents, but when you're fighting Dean Perry (2-0) you can forget about taking him out of his comfort zone, he is pretty good at any area because he has the tools to survive either on the feet or on the ground, but sometimes dominating on the ground comes down to who can impose their will and not only move like a cat on its back so well, given that these two mixed results give one submission, TKO and decisions, it's going to be hard to determine how will this end.

Luke Jones (1-2) has that MT/BJJ build that gives you the most interesting asset to fight both standing and on the ground, but what happens when you fight someone who can negate all of this with their wrestling skills and hard punching abilities? Luke Downer (2-1) will show us what is this all about when he procedes to dictate the pace of the fight with his superior wrestling, if Jones knows what's better for him, he better be ready to fight back if he does not want to be manhandled, I would start by slowly picking apart the opponent instead of desperately look for finishes.

George St Pierre (1-1) is coming off a brutal KO defeat in the first minute of the first round of the fight and he is looking no less than a good comeback when he fights Lucas Nogueira (1-0). These two grapplers will for sure try to edge each other on the ground, forget sprawl and brawl, this fight is going to be a grappling clinic when these two try to rip limbs off or pound heads out all night.

Shinya Aoki (3-3) is billed as a submission artist, having never gone to the distance, he has been finished by strikers and submissions, but doesn't matter, he for sure has the skill to finish fights on the ground and the next to test him will be Tom Scruv (0-0) whom is just making his professional debut here with us, so stay awake, because Scruv will do anything not to get his ass torqued on the ground.

Pablo Madureira (1-2) is a dangerous striker who loves to hurt his opponents, hurt them bad, and Erik Flugentaggen (1-2) is just as good in hurting his opponents as he posesses some really good power, although he has not finished an opponent yet, you can see how he makes his opponents heads bounce like basket balls when he tags them. I believe however, that Flugentaggen should take advantage of his well roundedness to fight into Madureiros weaknesses, which is argueably his ground game, the threat of the takedown might be a big factor.

One of the best boxers in the roster is Shanzo Miganzo (3-3) who has one of the most technical hands I have seen so far; he sure knows how to put a fight despite his ground game not being as bright as his stand up. This might pose a problem when he faces Peter Vulture (2-0) as Vulture has the defensive boxing to avoid damage from Miganzo for short enough to get a takedown and unload his donkey kong ground and pound on Miganzo, however, if Miganzo connects a good one, it could be all over for Vulture before he touches the mat.

Michal Nielamliwy (4-1) and Cain Marco (3-1) are probably two of the most fearsome grapplers in this organization, Marco has probably the advantage due to his wrestling, letting him dictate where the fight takes place, and could very well decide where he is more comfortable at. Nielamliwy could surprise all of us with some grinding tactic and maybe even a late submission if Marco is too aggressive early in the fight. This will probably be a fight of the night candidate.

The 170 crown is going to be fought here, the champion, defending tonight Mikhail "The Prodigy" Chivitchian (5-1) will take on the contender whom posses a very good menace to his reign, Beautiful Boxer (3-0), the undefeated striker. Let's see what Mikhail makes out of this as Beautiful Boxer has a more well rounded striking arsenal than he does, taking the fight to the mat.. is this an option for Mikhail? Because he might be in some trouble with Boxer's more versatile stand up. I guess we'll have to see and wait until the moment of the fight to find out who the true warrior is. If Boxer is capable of beating him in this one, I don't see any other striker getting to him right now.

Smack Talk heard this week!

Brock Lesnar: Hal Halson is so full of shit, he wouldn't be able to defend any take down of mine. In fact my wrestling is so good that I wouldn't throw any punches standing up at all. I am a force to be reckoned with, and soon the belt will be mine.

Adrian Peterson's Manager: Adrian Peterson will dominate the division. after his next bout i think he should earn a title shot. He also can take a superfight with heavyweight champ. Adrian is a monster he lives to fight and is willing to take any fight. And his next match you will see after he put Grody to sleep.

Interview with Gaule Crixius

Today, Gaule Crixius (1-0) debuts on "B2L 15: Forget Paris" against Jack Mistigris (2-2). TATAME Magazine talked to the "Undefeated Gaul" about this fight.

TATAME: This is your debut on B2L. What goes through your mind?

Crixius: I'm very calm, relaxed and pretty confident in another victory, in another knockout. I'm going to entertain the people, to hear the crowd yelling my name. I just wanna be the champion, no matter who's on my way.

TATAME: Tell us about your training camp and what do you think about your oponent.

Crixius: I worked hard with my boxing coaches. I think Mistigris is gonna keep this fight on his feet. If I'm right, In tell one thing: he will leave the cage uglier than he is now. I'll punch that face!

TATAME: You are really confident, uhn? Prediciton for the fight?

Crixius: I win. 1st round KO.

TATAME: Anything else you want to say?

Crixius: I want to thank Jake Waldren for this chance, my coaches, my manager and my family. Ah, Jack, be ready!

TATAME: Did you forget Paris?

Crixius: Non, jamais! I'm from Paris although I've trained in Italy for a long time. Now my life's here in Montreal. Ça va?

MMAradio Interview w/ Dean Perry 2-6-11....

MMAradio here on the phone with Built 2 Last Welterweight title challenger, Dean Perry. How's everything going with your training & in general, your life?

Perry: Life is treating me well, I can't complain. I'm always working hard both in & out of the gym, keeping busy. That's what makes me happy.

MMAradio: We were talking earlier about how little fans know about fighters behind the scenes. Can you tell everyone about your story, where you came from, how you got started in MMA?

Perry: Sure, I started kind of early, around the age of 8. I got into martial arts from watching bruce lee movies, chuck norris films; I would always play-fight with my brothers, you know how young kids are, haha. My parents always being against any kind of violence absolutely hated the whole thought of me fighting so they signed me up for karate classes; I guess they felt it would instill discipline in me. As I got older, I started doing a bit of jiu-jitsu because I loved how technical it was. For me it was different because I saw it as a different style, a new approach to fighting instead of the punch-him-out style. I competed a few times & did very well, but I was looking for more. I got into MMA after watching my first MMA event. It was so exciting, I was pretty much hooked from day 1. I began cross training my boxing to compliment my jiu-jitsu & I just found that I have a natural ability for it. I took my first MMA fight & performed very well. Honestly, I love it. I haven't looked back at all.

MMaradio: Great story, Dean. So today, you're 3-0 in B2L with a title fight coming up. How do you feel about the way things have been moving along in your career?

Perry: Well, I'm still a baby in this sport but I'm having a blast. Each opponent has provided different challenges for me & I'm always welcoming those challenges. I've fought some tough guys for sure & it's been great. When you're in a deep division like the WW division, it only pushes you to a higher level.

MMAradio: You have a title fight coming up in a few weeks against Beautiful Boxer. He's been on a tear knocking out most of his opponents. What do you think about Boxer as a fighter & what challenges does he possess?

Perry: Beautiful Boxer is the current champ so he's got to be tough right? He's definitely tougher than my previous opponents, but when fight day comes, it won't matter. I'm never worried about what my opponent will do to me. I know what I can do. I aim to please & I have fun with it.

MMAradio: This is your first big fight, a main event title fight against a tough opponent. Is there any added pressure to perform?

Perry: Not at all. I don't focus on the media or what others are saying. In fact, I spend most of my time away from all of that stuff. You guys are lucky to have even found me, hehe.

MMAradio: What are you doing to prepare for Boxer? He's got some serious hands.

Perry: Haha, well we've definitely focused a lot on boxing as well as other specific things. Boxer has good hands but I'll catch him.

MMAradio: Prediciton for the fight?

Perry: I don't like to predict how my fights will go because it's pointless. All I can say is it will be a fun fight. Don't miss it.

MMAradio: Thanks so much for taking the time to speak with us, it was a pleasure having you on. Good luck in your title fight.

Perry: The pleasure was all mine. Thanks.

Interview with defending B2L Middleweight champ

Reporter: OK we have caught up with Peter Just a few days after his title defense against Wesley Snow. First question. How do feel about the win and your performance?

Peter Just: This was a real tough fight. It was close most of the way through I was surprised it was a unanimous decision and not a split because the last round could have gone either way on the scorecards. I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t finish the fight.

R: Would you want to fight Wesley Snow again?

PJ: Maybe in the future but I think the Jake Waldren(org owner) has other ideas first and I agree with him. All I’m want is to have Wesley remove the Gi and black belt he wears(in currently wearing) cause he’s not a black belt in BJJ he’s a purple belt.

R: So you find that disrespecting?

PJ: Yes it took me many years to get my BJJ black belt at age 19.

R: Let’s go back to that last round, I had you winning but others think Wesley took it. What do you think the judges saw to give you the round?

PJ: In the 5th I was exhausted and my corner keep yelling at me to push the action, even though I didn’t really strike I think me clinching up and controlling him was the deciding factor seeing he really didn’t land strikes.

R: So you were out of energy in the last round?

PJ: Yeah totally. I was done after the fight. Right after I was beat up and drained I had to be helped back to the locker room. Later that night I went to the hospital to receive an IV and to have my foot checked out from all the leg kicks he checked.

R: Were you hurt?

PJ: Didn’t break anything just a bad contusion. Was told not train for a week so I could regain my energy and recover.

R: How long do you think it will be until we see back in action?

PJ: I know the org wants me back in as soon as March 11th card but I told them I would need 5-6 weeks but we’ll see what we work out.

R: Good luck and hope to see you back defending your title.

Peter Just: Thanks.

B2L 17 Preview

Hello, my name is Joey, and I'm addicted to MMA. Since you're seeing me here, you must be too. But you don't need a ten step program to fix the problem; you just need a guide to the higher stuff. I will help you find it from here on out. So embrace your addiction by binging on some quality Built 2 Last ish, the premiere stuff, pure unadulterated MMA.

This Friday, B2L holds its 17th event so it’s not legal in every state but old enough to host some serious violence. The event's name "Call the Dentist" is right; teeth should be falling out all night. I don't know if there'll be any dentists around but I think we can get some cups of milk to keep teeth in. We're so thoughtful.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole three round fight (five for titles), rather than a round by round ten point must system.

Here's the rundown:

265+lbs Chris Murney versus "Big" John MacCarthy

The night will begin with a 600 pound collision of bones, brains, and hopefully muscle as long time B2L vet Chris Murney faces off with 1-0 John McCarthy making his organizational debut. A more proficient striker Murney hopes to finally showcase his rumored heavy hands against his opponent, a strong wrestler who displayed surprising power with a TKO win in his first professional fight. The fight's outcome hinges on whether MacCarthy can take Murney down to grapple his way to a win. My prediction: Murney by decision.

265 lbs "Nickel" Ned Schnidt versus Sledgehammer "the great Maniac" Abortion

In another veteran vs newcomer fight, two new heavyweight faces hope to get their careers on track. Schnidt has been inconsistent splitting his last four fights, losing two by decision but winning two by TKO. He hopes to reach his apex with a fresh start against Sledgehammer Abortion, a fighter who while I can't confirm his last name has shown the potential to fit his first, his only other fight a win by knees. Who will start their B2L career on the right foot? Either way we should see fireworks. My prediction: Schnidt by TKO.

155 lbs Pierce "The Fourth Judge" Russell versus Jimmy "The Gent" Conway

Jimmy Conway has been fitting his nickname a bit too much, graciously losing his only two fights against B2L fighters. He should have an advantage Friday night against newbie Pierce Russell whose fights have been exciting winning or losing within the first hundred seconds of his only two fights. This fight will be about hunger more than experience or even skill. My prediction: Russell by TKO.

155 lbs Graham Goddard versus Flavio "The Spanish Armada" Sandoval

The classic grappler versus striker match up, BJJ black belt Graham Goddard hopes to extend his three fight win streak against boxing ace Sandoval. Sandoval has underrated grappling, having never been submitted in his career but having never faced Goddard's caliber of jujitsu. The outcome will either lay bare Graham's rather obvious Achilles' heel or stall Flavio's rise into the organization's upper half of lightweight fighters. My prediction: Sandoval by TKO.

155 lbs Greg "The KO Kid" Bryant versus Shinya "Tobikan Judan" Aoki

The last of three lightweight fights should offer a break from the strikefests before it in the form of an epic ground war between two purple belts. Both Bryant and Aoki know what they like to do and that's to strain bones and joints. Can Greg's ironic nickname save him or will his first time in the big leagues overwhelm him against a more seasoned Shinya? My prediction: Aoki by submission.

205 lbs Techno Viking versus Frances "Jerome" LeBlanc

Techno Viking recently suffered his first loss by submission but there should be no real threat of that in what should be a stand up war of Muay Thai versus Boxing in his next fight against Frances Leblanc. Leblanc knows a loss here puts a serious dent in his momentum as it's much easier to get lost in the pile at 2-1 instead of 3-0. Pure boxers like Leblanc traditionally struggle against Muay Thai fighters but another win against a game Viking would boost his resume at 205. My prediction: Viking by decision.

205 lbs Bret McCoy versus Rich "Hands of Stone" Thorburn

Having beat Techno Viking from the bout before him, Bret McCoy hopes to build on a 3-1 light heavyweight career. Rich Thorburn too began his career with a promising record at 4-1 until his record got a bit spotty. He hopes a new fight league and fresh opponents will get him back to the glory days of his beginning. The youngster and veteran's struggle to bring the fight to their respective comfort zones, Bret with his grappling and Rich with his striking, should decide the victor. My prediction: Thorburn by decision.

185 lbs "Yes" imma truth versus Jan "Mclovin" Mcdougall

Yet another grappler and striker battle, imma truth's performance will prove his latest quick win by head kick shows the real type of fighter he is rather than his disappointing submission loss in his B2L debut. McDougall began his B2L career with a bang or I guess more like a gurgle winning by triangle choke. We'll see after Friday night who's for real. My prediction: McDougal by submission.

Co-Main Event

170 lbs Gregory "Twister" St Pierre versus Ivan "The Terrible" Sampaio

Sometimes fights are like horror movies, it's a battle between the sexy but resilient co-ed and a beastly monster intent on bloodshed. The co-main event and the only welterweight fight of the night should be a horror movie. The question is whether Gregory "Twister" St Pierre is the hotty that survives to the end or the minority friend who gets stuck under a garage door. If he can use his well-rounded skillset to keep Ivan off balance both on his feet and on the ground, he could control his way to a win or even pull off a submission. Ivan though in his only two fights has shown his nickname is for real. His B2L debut was as impressive as can be with a 12 second knockout of Rob Gurgel. Will it be the cheerleader or the beast? My prediction: Sampaio by TKO.

Main Event

205 lbs Ray "The Perfectionist" Carpenter versus Mahtava "Mursu" Emppe

If you want to talk about impressive debuts, take one look at Mahtava Emppe and his 14 second KO win. In fact, his three fights have all been won by knockout in less than one minute. Combined! Yep, 57 seconds total. A Muay Thai fighter, Emppe will face Ray "The Perfectionist" Carpenter, a pure boxer who is also undefeated at 2-0 albeit both against Pro Pizdon. While it might look like a serious mismatch, Carpenter has shown he can go the distance while Emppe has never been tested beyond the first minute. If he can survive the initial onslaught, Carpenter could stifle and tire Emppe out and ultimately derail the hype train that has been going full steam. Either way after Friday night, one of these strikers will have suffered the first loss of his exciting young career. My prediction: Mahtava by KO.
