I know exactly how Peel feels about writing the Preview/Reviews... it is a shit ton of work... I was spending 3 hours or more on each of my Previews when I was writing them, I spent about 2-3 hours for the Reviews and I was also writing interviews and other RP bits... when people start talking shit about why their fighter wasn't showered with gold or a gaggle of Brazilian hookers and a briefcase full of cocaine they get all but hurt. Many are the managers that brought their fighters in here thinking they would be the king of the shit pile, because many thought Immortals was full of cans. They came in here and fought the Shane Wellmans, the Brunno Falcones and others thinking that because our records are shit that we would be easy marks to pad their record, and guess what? They got swatted... some so hard that they begged for an early release of their contracts; so worried were they about their precious records.

When you get no feedback at all or nothing but negative feedback on one of these write-ups that you do it starts to piss you off and you get burned out quick... It's why I hired a guy to do the writing over at AFP (my org) instead of doing it myself.... So just enjoy what it was and if you want a crew of naked Filipino sex slaves to blow you while showering you with wine, fanning you with palm leaves, and feeding you grapes, figs and dates, then fucking earn it. Win a fight or two and then you will get that respect in the write-ups.

Does anyone really expect Steel (or anyone else for at matter) to publicly blow their fighter when his initial outing in the org was a one sided beat down? Apparently a lot do, but many more are just content to suck it up, man up and just go prove the writer wrong. Hell sometimes in my write-ups I deliberately wrote stuff that I didn't agree with, because it looked that way on paper. Many times I had my own guys picked to lose when I knew I could win the fight. It is a personality they using other than their own doing the writing, and I am sure Steel does the same.

People still can't read... I'm not saying that because he posted whatever he did about my fighter. I'm saying it because looking back to the previous previews, I thought there would be another interesting one for us to read. He could have said the biggest things possible to my fighter or whatever. I've already said that this is the best smack talk thread and everything (specially previews) are great. That's why I just said I felt it was disappointing to see a preview small like that compared to others. I know he's probably busy and so am I. That's just a thought I had and I'm not here saying Steel sucks a lot and whatever...

He picked my fighter to lose against Shields and did I complain about that? Actually that preview was awesome. I don't expect or want to see every time another one like that because it was the super card, but I thought that looking at the last previews, this one would be a little bigger than it was. Stop making it about me bitching about what he says in his last phrase in the main event preview. I read all the previews FYI.

Or maybe you should stop taking negative votes so seriously, put the cowardly Swag Fo Dayz on weight gainer instead and fight AC Ferreira. Then we'll see if competing for this organization can force a few real life tears out of ou.

@twittaswag4dayz - "How bout AC come down to 170 and I'll kick his ass give him his 1st loss?"

Riggs is now in a coma after being extremely embarrassingly KO'd by Abdullah... the doctors say there is a 50% chance he will wake up again... His last words were reported as "Fuck you Abdullah"

His manager Mr Daly was asked how he felt about Riggs being in his state and this is what he had to say: "Fuck it the guy is the biggest can I have ever come across and I kinda ditched him for like 3 months so he didnt really do much training. If he never wakes up from that coma, I will be umm.... sad?" (He can't help but chuckle as he walks out the hospital doors).

I like how i get Minus 3 for smack talk in the smacktalk thread. Sorry guys for adding activity and personality to my fighter. I wont post anymore.

Nah, don't let it get to you. Your guy makes a great heel and any posts that generate activity in the smack talk department are fun to read. Keep the smack coming brother....I just need my 155er to be ready and he'll have something for mister Swag

I told you all arabi had no ground game. he spent half that fight running from me. either clinch or don't, make up your mind. or even better yet, put on a gi and get a decent ground game. as i said before, your not really a brown belt. maybe a 2 stripe blue belt, but not a brown belt, and i showed the world that.

Gaius Arabi: I have nothing to say after that fight... I was winning it and he pulled guard, nothing new when you look at his poor skills. It took a lapse of attention and he got an armbar. I'm going back to the drawing board and I'm telling you that I'll get a rematch against this guy and I'll defeat him fair and square. I don't have to prove him that I have a ground game. If you just grab in somebody's body and drop to the ground, you look like someone who really has nothing to do here. He got the win? Yeah, he did. I'm sure that I'd beat him 9 times out of 10, but the only shot he had of winning was yesterday. You better start working right now because when I have the chance, I'm not wasting it again.

Nothing gripes my ass more than some meely-mouth little bitch whining about the org's write-ups, or what are "IN "the write up's. I wrote for Peel for almost a year, and I can personally tell you that if you are writer worth a salt; researching, looking at fights and fighters, while covering 2 events per week takes LOADS of time and effort if you want to do it right..and that doesn't include all the time trying to get the graphics to look descent!!! It's a HUGE undertaking!! Almost as much work as sanitizing your crank after nailin a Kardashian!!!

If you don't like what is being written, put down the Victoria Secret catalog and the bottle of Prell, and write your own review! It's not like anyone can "delete it" ..you can say what you want about whoever you want. If it's a well written and logical article that makes sense, peole will ask for more. I personally have been offered 20K to write reviews, but I just don't have the time at this point due to other obligations. So my hats off to all those guys who take the time to make the game much more interesting and entertaining ...even the Zyad!

PS This goes out to ToeJam .....rather it's minus or positive, you got reviews!!! Ever heard of the saying "There is no bad PR"? Use the minus to your advantage. You obviously evoked an emoptional response from someone, thus you got under their skin. Indifference is much more insulting than dislike.

While there is some truth to this I understand why it could chap the dudes ass. It is ultimately going to affect his reputation. Plenty of managers in game look at that stuff. Generally even when someone does vote you down it isn't enough to really make a difference. If you are an asshole then you get a bad reputation, if you are a good guy then you end up with a good reputation... I am the anomaly here as I am an asshole yet I still have a good reputation... :shades:

"meh meh winy bitch" it's all that those people who can't read and understand a comment can type here. It's all the same. I've talked with Steel already via PM and I'm sorry if I've hurt the feelings of all those guys who said shit here. There were guys that understood it and even if they said to me that I should appreciate that we have reviews (And again I tell all of those who can only start a sentence with "wah wah wah winy bitch" that I do appreciate it), they said it in a normal way. This thing is already done and just keep on complaining and giving minus :)

how did you get to be a brown belt without learning to respect someone's guard. you sound like a wrestler, i have news for you, being on top doesn't mean you are winning. i got you with my 2nd sub attempt and had we rolled longer, i'd of tapped you out more. i don't know who gave you that belt, but you are not a brown belt and your jiu jitsu is garbage.

humberto has stated a desire to fight arabi after his current fight. he thinks it will be an easy win and that arabi will not be able to get him down or hang with him in the clinch.

Gaius Arabi: You caught me in a lapse of attention. You just grabbed my body and dropped to the ground like a rock would when thrown from a higher place. I'm comfortable being on the ground with you. What you did was a fluke and when the right time comes, I'm coming to finish you, Ankutse. You had a good win but don't rely on that being the answer to your problems. You're not better than me, even though you won the fight. I was picking you apart on the striking and I was relaxed when it went to the ground, but you managed to get a nice armbar and it was my fault for losing attention and getting caught. You see that winning against me got you a title shot huh? It would be great to have a rematch against you for the belt, but I'm sure that you can't even get near to it.

About Humberto? That would be even easier than Ankutse. I must win the fights I'm supposed to and those 2 are examples of it. I'm winning my next fight, it doesn't matter against who. I want to start from the bottom of the division and show everyone that this is what I'm meant for. I'm here to win and those 2 losses will only make me a stronger fighter.

FN 42 The Alexi Supercard

Liberty Dome, New York

March 20 , 2013

MMA fans around the world, I’m Richie Ciapelli of MMA USofA, and this is the SUPERCARD, the night when the Immortals fans get to see a whole host of INY Superstars.

Every one of the fights on this card has ramifications whether it be the title picture, earning the respect of INY fans, or maybe getting the win that gets you that high profile headline fight.

So, fight fans lets get it ON!

Opening proceedings we have a huge 185lb match up between Bowman Rook and Thor Okam. 18 months ago Bowman Rook was on a 5 fight win streak and was considered a serious world title contender, after wins over Meyers, Taylor and Whales. A sensational wrestler with a brutal clinch attack manager Jolon Williams thought he had struck gold. What followed was in essence a disaster as Rook was brutally KO’d in a title fight with then champ Ventura, and then KO’d by top contenders Roaig and Knight. Manager Williams no longer believes Rook has what it takes to mix with the elite of the INY and is likely to fight in the minor leagues after facing the 4-0 Okam. Can Rook leave the INY with his head held high, or will he be another scalp for the controversial Thor Okam, who won’t be shy if he takes Rook out?

Okam is 4-0 and a former Junior World Amateur Boxing champion, who has worked hard on his wrestling since being signed by Heisman. Okam has fast and heavy hands, and he was way to fast and skilled for journeyman Muay Thai fighter Diggins last time out. Rook however is a real step up in class, while Rook’s chin maybe isn’t good enough to allow him to take a genuine world title, we know nothing about Okam’s either. Okam will look to blast Rook out early, Rook needs to counter into the clinch and then make Okam pay. Is Rook durable enough to take the shots and force a clinch and expose Okam?

Okam has the reward of a grudge match with Taco Bueno if he can better Rook, but it remains to be seen if he can.

Okam starts the favorite at the Casino, but not by much.

Mazzio vs Miles at 265lb sees a rematch of a fight 3 years ago which Mazzio won by submission. Mazzio is 2-1 since that fight and is now a BJJ Brown belt with a 6-3 record but hasn’t been very active. Mazzio’s camp hasn’t pushed their man, having fought younger guys or journeyman, so is the Holliday camp convinced Mazzio is the real deal? He has great takedowns, pulls guard nicely in the clinch and has a great submission attack. Miles is 7-5 having stopped his last two opponents, and is a nicely rounded MMA fighter, though he struggles to find consistency even at journeyman level.

This fight will take place on the mat unless Miles can counter Mazzio and test Mazzio’s suspect chin. Once this fight hits the mat I feel Mazzio will edge proceedings and force a tap out, though if Miles can gain top position he could put Mazzio away. Mazzio starts the favorite here.

At superheavyweight we have Heisman 4-1 looking to bounce back from a loss to Peitexeira and so remain in title contention when he takes on talented wrestler Le Sheet 6-3, a fighter who has spent his whole career taking on the divisions best.

Heisman is a terrific striker, great chin, and judging by the Olavski fight he has also has good takedown defense. This will be critical because Le Sheet will look to stick him on his back on pound him out, as he did Heisman’s team mate Leroy Jenkins.

While Heisman looks a great talent, Le Sheet should have too much for him once this goes to ground, so Heisman needs to land the money shot early if he is going to get the W.

At 205lb the Speed vs Alldren clash is one all MMA fans are looking forward to when former two org World Champion Nathan Speed collides with undefeated former GEMMA champion Nate Alldren 9-0. Speed 12-4 is a world class boxer who has made a name for himself in both Tokyo and Amsterdam. His debut in the INY was a shock decision defeat to Wunderkind which took him to 3 straight losses, so the Dee Early camp will be determined to ensure Speed brings his A game for such an important fight. Alldren 9-0 8 Kos began his career as a wrestler with great takedowns and ground and pound, and he has slowly developed his stand up to become a fearsome striker with a good chin and damaging clinch. Alldren is 9-0 but he hasn’t ever faced as accomplished a fighter as the Zombie Nathan Speed, so despite being a former champion this is Alldren’s first true test at world level. Will he unravel when he has to compete with the best, will Speed be a bridge too far? Speed has 4 losses so Alldren will be confident but this really could be anyone’s fight.

Another important clash at 205 will see former INY and NAF champion Matt Youngblood 15-4 return to action following consecutive title fight losses to Jules Winnfield. Youngblood wont like being on the undercard, given that 13 out of his last 14 fights have been world title fights. Youngblood is a world class boxer, with heavy hands, a good chin, and the cardio of an Olympic triathlete. Having been dropped by Winnfield in their last fight (only the 2nd knockdown in 19 fights) facing a wrestler might be a good thing for Youngblood.

Banner 10-5 has 9 sub wins and took down young prospect Renninger last time out to get on this Supercard, but he hasn’t shared the cage with anyone of the caliber of Matt Youngblood. Banner must take Blood down early, gamble and go for broke, but this will be easier said than done. Banner’s wrestling and takedowns are to be respected, and I don’t expect Youngblood to underestimate the threat these pose, however Youngblood is from a genuinely top draw camp who should be able to guide the former champ to a much needed victory.

Nick Shields began his career with the Immortals, he went to 8-0 before contract disputes put his career on hold, but the 9-0 BJJ specialist showed the Immortals fans what they had been missing last time out when he outclassed the highly regarded Arabi. Shields’ new management are taking him to pastures new, so his fight against fellow BJJ fighter Jackson Jones 8-4 will be his last. Jones steps up to see Shields off, knowing he is up against it here, but he has won his last two, and will want to perform well for his camp.

Shields has the measure of Jackson and could win this standing or on the ground, although a ground war offers more risk. I suspect the Shields will utilize his fast developing striking skills to see off Jackson. We wish him well and hope to see him back in the fold sometime soon.

The Schmuk is next up and earnt his place on the supercard by submitting former champion Randy Turner and now faces a far stiffer test in former world champion Charlie Meyers. Meyers has mixed with the elite consistently for the past 3 years, having faced Melton Snr, Fallon, Rook, Knight and Ronan on route to a 9-4 record that includes 7 submission wins. The Schmuk is a BJJ Brown belt with 7 submissions in his 8 wins, and he wont have to go looking for takedowns in this one. Meyers is on a 3 fight win streak and starts a firm favorite, but the Jet camp will relish this challenge and the Schmuk will want to do his camp proud on such a prestigious card.

A fighter taking a real step up in class is Tatsumi Fujinami a 10-3 judoka who has earned a brown belt in BJJ to compliment his brutal ground and pound. The Dragon is on a 6 fight win streak having crushed mid ranked fighters, and now faces a striker in Wunderkind who is on a remarkable 5 fight win streak that contains the names of Nathan Speed and Lamont Banner. In fact his only loss in 10 fights is to Jules Winnfield the current World Light Heavyweight champion. We know Fujinami has powerful takedowns and fight finishing ground and pound, but he is stepping up in class, so can Wunderkind handle the takedown heat Fujinamo will bring? Wunderkind handled Banner and Yakubi, both decorated ground fighters so he won’t fear Fujinami, and on that basis Wunderkind opens up at the Casino as the favorite. Fujinamo is likely to get a chance though it’s likely to be early, so he must capitalize on any opportunity he gets and put Wunderkind away.

Now we move on to one of the main reasons 5000 screaming Immortals fans are expected to pack out the Liberty Dome here in New York. The co-main event features the reigning and defending world middleweight champion ‘Mr Hammerstorm’ Tyler Richards making the first defence of the crown he took in sensational fashion from Anthony Ventura no less than 3 months ago. The former Valhalla 4Kings champion faces the on form and former Troid middleweight champion ‘Peaty’ Laph Roaig. Richards 14-5 is a granite chinned BJJ Black Belt from the world rated Janne Finland camp, who also hold the INY welterweight title with Kharmalov. Richards’ whole career is built around his ability to absorb punishment from superior strikers and seizing any opportunity to secure the takedown and pound out his opponent. Never was this more evident than when he took the title via 4th round KO after taking sustained punishment from Ventura for 3 rounds. When Ventura started to slow down, Richards struck and finished a stunned champion with brutal ground and pound. That night was overshadowed by Ventura’s manager Speedy Gonzaitev having to be physically restrained from attacking Janne Finland. The Finn Fighters are here in force at the Liberty Dome, with Dee Early expected to sit cage side with Janne Finland, as the Finnish Invasion gains momentum.

But what of Laph Roaig? Roaig is 8-3 7Kos a pure striker, fast hands, great kicks, and devastating power as both Bowman Rook and the granite chinned Mario Silva can testify. Roaig is under no illusions here, he hasn’t faced a fighter with Richards’ ground skills, and he knows he cannot let Richards be successful with takedowns. Roaig is likely to counter Richards, and break his opponent down with leg kicks, stay out of the clinch, and catch Richards on the way in. I expect Roaig to take the opening 2 rounds, but this will not phaze Richards who historically comes on strong and will look to wear down Roaig in similar fashion to the Ventura fight.

Roaig might just be the real deal, but Richards has been here time and time again, and invariably delivers, and I’m backing him to stop Roaig in the championship rounds.

Just when many INY pundits and fans thought Matt Youngblood was destined for a lengthy reign as World Light Heavyweight Champion and in doing so become a nailed down certainty for the Hall of Fame, up stepped Jules Winnfield 12-3 9kos. After 10 rounds of war with the Youngblood, Winnfield emerged the victor, no doubts, no controversy now, Winnfield was the bonfide undisputed Immortals World Light Heavyweight Champion. Winnfield, a former member of the US Olympic boxing team was offered a contract from Golden Boy Promotions, but he chose MMA, and now he is reaping the benefits. Everyone thought Youngblood had hands, Winnfield is at genuine world class pro boxer level, just ask Wunderkind who was demolished in just 13 humiliating seconds.

With Hayes, Cooper, Alldren and Speed not signed to the INY until quite recently, Winnfield was in need of a high profile opponent, so up stepped Rory Lyons from the 185 division. Is Rory Lyons likely to be intimidated by Winnfield? Absolutely not, Lyons is the former 205 Valhalla 4K champ and has beaten Hektor Troy twice, Michael Fybra twice, and Leonidas Sheynauvah all tremendous strikers. Lyons also has a great chin and the heart of a lion, a trait that rescued his world title against Troy when he had been battered for 4 rounds and secured a submission win with 4 seconds left in the 5th round.

Winnfield will box at distance, he knows how dangerous Lyons is on the ground. Lyons has submitted Tyler Richards, so Winnfield has to keep this standing. Lyons, like Richards in his fight against Roaig, will be patient, but he must avoid too much punishment as he has a propensity to cut. This fight could turn into a bloodbath, Winnfield has been stopped on cuts twice, and Lyons is a notorious bleeder. Call the paramedics, this one could get real messy.

Winnfield has beaten Youngblood twice, and on those performances he starts the favorite, but Rory Lyons is a warrior, and he will bring it. Get ready for WAR!

''The whole world has lost faith in me. Even my manager. But everyone has forgotten one thing. I am the streak ender. This is a constant, this is a fact. And come March 20th, Okam will face the same fate Taylor did. The same punishment that Whales underwent. Come the 20th, Okam will be exposed, his undefeated streak too, will end. And the whole world will know that Bowman Rook may have been knocked down, but he has NOT been knocked out.''
