Quick review sfc Matumba versus Toepfer 2

Umba Matumba v Paul Toepfer

Matumba pull off a shock victory the last time they fought .it was a shocked since he submitted the submission artist Toephfer in the second round with a second to go .i think the cut effected toepfer and couldn't preform to his best .I expect toephfer to be a bit more aggressive with his takedowns since he knows he cant stand with Matumba for any length of time without getting hurt .Also he might be a bit more controlled on the ground not getting caught like he did the last time.Matumaba has a better ground game then i expected but i think he should try to keep the fight standing that where he has the big advantage and where i think he will put toephfer to the sword .

Predition: Matunba by knockout third round

Tamiwe Kamanula v Victor Frolov

Kamaula is on a impressive 5 fugth winning streak with his deadly leg kicks .Frolov on the other has had mixed success in his sfc career.I think frolov has a questionable chin and don't think he me able to summit kamula here.I think Kamula has a decent gournd game.i think it going to be trouble for Frolov and i see him getting knocked out early

prediction:Kamaula ko by legkick frist round

Luana Peroba Filgueiras v Edie Alvarez

very hard fight to call.To fighters don't seem to finish there fight that often and i see this going to the judges.I think Filgueiras has the experince here and is going to make it count.Alvarez has not really impressed in his last few fights .I see Filgueiras taken fight to the ground and grinding a decision.

prediction: Filgueiras by decision

Quick review puch versus wallace 2

Marcellas Wallace v Robledo Puch

Hmm here to start.There last fight was a draw which left the fans very unhappy.there were expecting a war but both fighters played it very safe and nobody deserve the win .I expect Wallace to go in all gun blazing and try to get the knockout .Punch has a good chin but if cant the the knockout will get him points with the judges.Punch on the other hand has the advantage on the ground but wallace has good take down defense.I cant see how punch can win here.Wallae has good take-down defense and enough of a ground game not to get submitted also can get the knockout with his superior boxing .this should be a title fight but do to legal issues it couldn't .Winner will face O'Sullivan for the title.if draw again these will fight each other for title :yes:

predition: wallace by decision

Wrestler Savvy v Ragner Thlekbuidi

Hmm kind of a stange fight .Savvy has used his clich rapeing skill to good effect by getting 4 wins with this technique. Thlekbuidi has had very good sucess with his submissions .This is a stange fight to called.Just one question will answer this fight can Savvy keep this fight in the clinch .If he can he will will but if he get taken down it going to be over in seconds.I have to go with Thlekbuidi here.all he needs is one takedown and it over

prediction :Thiekbuidi sunmission second round

"Another win added to my record. Man, it feels good having 4 straight submissions on my record, hoping I'll be able to add a 5th in my next match. I don't think anyone has taken me seriously in this division, but I think with 4 straight wins in the org and 4 submissions in a row, people are probably scared of my ground game and I don't blame them.

Since Bogdan Petrycki (8-2) has left the org, he should give up his title. There's plenty of fighters here at this org who are determined to win that title and I'm one of them.

I know some people think Robledo Puch (9-2-1) deserves a title shot, I don't. I don't think he even deserves to be a part of this org. This guy shouldn't be on the streets never mind fighting professionally in MMA. I hope Marcellas Wallace (10-5-2) beats him in their fight and will be routing for him in their fight. Perhaps Robledo will get in the cage with me sometime in the future, if he's smart he wont bother, if I get a hold of his arm or leg, I'm going to tear it off!

As for my next fight. I'm happy taking some time off to focus on my training, I'll speak to the match maker and see when he wants me fighting next."

"Dangerous" Daniel O'Sullivan

"I'm pretty gutted about the Puch vs Wallace fight. Thought Wallace would have been good enough to beat up that bitch Puch. Mickey Hart got in contact with me yesterday and said to me that I'm a contender for the title, I though "Great, I'm finally going to get my first title shot!" but then he informed me that Marcellas Wallace (10-6-2) is also a contender and explained to me that he wanted the winner of our fight to fight for the title against whoever wins between Robledo Puch (9-2-1) and Charlie Lim (8-1).

Honestly, I can't wait for that Puch vs Lim fight. Puch is going to get a beat down and I'll be very surprised if he can win against Lim. If he does win against Lim and I win against Wallace, then I'll get the fight that I wanted.

I respect Wallace and I know for sure he's going to be a difficult opponent. He's an experienced fighter, he's had 18 fights and he's 29 years old. I've heard of Gene LaBelle who he earned his purple belt under, I'm pretty sure he's known as one of the top Judoka in the world, so I'll have to be careful of Wallace's judo.

I believe I have the better ground game and I intend on showing it when we fight."

SFC Grffins vs Khrapov preview.

to be held Hayashi's Lounge - St. Petersburg on 6th April 2014.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1395566778unnamed%20%281%29.jpg

170lbs Stephen "The Crossbow Cannibal" Griffiths(9-2-1){5-2-1} vs Vasiliy "Khozyain" Khrapov(9-5-0){1-0-0}

In the Main event of the night, we have a title fight for the 170lbs weight division and the first defence of the title by Griffiths. Griffiths is a veteran of SFC having had 8 fights for the org with only 2 losses, the last loss being five fights ago. He is a master of BJJ having reached black belt standard, he has superb wrestling skills but also enough skill in boxing and Muay Thai to stand and bang should he need to. With 8 out of his 9 wins coming by way of submission, I think it's easy to guess what his game plan is going to be, he's going to try and take the fight to the ground where he is clearly most at home and look to submit Khrapov.

Khrapov has quite a large BJJ disadvantage, he only has a blue belt compared to Griffiths black belt. He will no doubt be relying on his dangerous hands to do the work for him. He has great boxing and wrestling skills and decent Muay Thai skill, although Griffiths still has the edge over him when it comes to wrestling. Out of his 9 wins, 6 have been by TKO or KO so Griffins will have to make sure he doesn't make any mistakes when going for a takedown. Khrapov has lost 5 times in his career, 4 times by submission, going up against a submission specialist he will have to have the fight of his life

if he wants to take the belt home. Khrapov may have good wrestling skills but I doubt they will be good enough to fend of Griffiths, if it goes to the floor I think that will be the end of Khrapov.

My prediction: Griffiths by submission in round 2.

170lbs Louis Terry(6-0-0){{3-0-0} vs Just Roll(7-1-0){7-1-0}

This may not be a title fight but it has all the ingredients to make it just as exciting. Up until Roll's last fight, both fighters were undefeated.

Terry has won his last 6 fights in a row, his last 3 here at SFC. If he can beat Roll, he will be sending a clear message to the top fighters in the division that he is a force to be reckoned with and will no doubt have his eye on the belt in the very near future. An expert in BJJ with a brown belt and decent wrestling skills, all of his 6 wins have been by submissions and up until his last fight, all of them taking no longer than 1 round to finish. He will need all of his impressive skills when he steps in to the cage with the ex-champion.

Roll, also a brown belt in BJJ with even more impressive wrestling skill than Terry, was the undefeated champion until his last fight against Griffiths. He made 5 successful defences of the title and will be looking for a quick win here to put him back in contention for a rematch with the winner of the Title fight. Roll has an impressive record for a 23 year old with just 1 loss out of his 8 fights and 6 out of 7 wins by submission. It looks like he could be walking into the cage with poor morale, will his superior skills be enough to compensate? I'm sure Terry is hoping it won't be. If it wasn't for Roll's morale, it would be a fairly straight forward decision. Roll's experience and better wrestling skills must be an advantage but how much will his low morale affect the outcome of this fight?

My prediction: Roll by submission in round 3.

170lbs Andrew Holland(6-2-0){6-1-0} vs Craig "Crafty" Clifton(7-1-0){3-1-0}

Holland is a dangerous fighter, all of his 6 wins have been by TKO and aside from his first qfc bout, he has only ever lost one fight at SFC to Just Roll.

With great Muay Thai and boxing skill, this fighter prefers to get the job done standing up although he has fairly decent wrestling skill and a blue belt in BJJ to provide some defence should he get taken down.

With a purple belt in BJJ and excellent wrestling skills, Clifton is an out and out submission specialist, all 7 of his wins were all submissions and 5 of them didn't even see the end of the 1st round. With just the basic skills in striking, Clifton will be looking to take Holland to the ground quickly and cleanly without taking any damage. Once on the ground, I think he should have a large enough advantage to get a submission and I can't really see Holland managing to escape his grip. Clifton has an impressive track record, with just 1 loss at the beginning of the year to SFC's Louis Terry. He's definitely been able to put that loss behind him and is currently on a 3 fight win streak. If he gets another win, it will put him firm amongst the top contenders of the division. A tough fight to call as both fighters are dangerous. If Clifton makes a mistake going for a takedown, it could spell disaster.

My prediction: Clifton by submission in round 3.

170lbs Gunnar "Gunni" Ludvik(6-1-0){5-1-0} vs Ramon "Tio" Monzon(4-1-0){2-0-0}

Ludvik is another ground fighter, with good wrestling skills and a brown belt in BJJ, he likes nothing more than seeing his opponent tap out. He's still focusing his skills at the moment, 3 of his 6 wins have been by submission, the other 3 he just hasn't been able to finish before the bell in the 3rd round. No stranger to SFC, Ludvik has had 6 previous fights for the org winning all but one of them. He is currently on a 3 fight win streak and steadily climbing up the 170lbs division.

Monzon, is hot on the heels of Ludvik, also climbing the up the division at an impressive rate of knots, no doubt helped by his impressive 4 fight win streak. So far, he has only made 2 appearances for SFC but is fast becoming a firm favourite of the fans, finishing his last fight with a superb Superman Punch and getting a standing ovation as well as the win. He has rock solid Muay Thai skills and decent wrestling skills to prevent take downs, Ludvik should treat this striker with the respect he deserves, and sloppy takedowns here could end up with Ludvik sleeping on the canvas floor. 3 out of the 4 wins by Monzon have come from straight knockouts, with raw knockout power like that, he'll only need one opportunity to pounce and steal the win. I think Monzon has the potential to take the win in this fight.

My prediction: Monzon by TKO in round 2.

Also fighting in the event;

Andrey Lapis v Stanislav Votava

Shorty Gonzalez v Neil Patrick Harris

Kazekage Gaara v Ushman Haszan

Paul Mackintosh v Chinny Magalhaes

Brian Gummidge v Isaac Hetfield

Andres Bonifacio v Efrbewc Fregrbws

sfc Nikolaev versus Matthews preview

Coming this Saturday, 12th April at the Hard Knocks Arena, St. Petersburg.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1396462137S.jpg

The main event of the evening will be a title fight for the Lightweight belt between Clay Matthews vs Volya Nikolaev

155lbs Clay "The Dream" Matthews (9-10-0){3-1-0} vs Volya " Nika" Nikolaev (7-3-0){7-3-0}

Clay Matthews lost his title at the beginning of the month to Norbert Swager Li, a fight that Matthews will probably still be very bitter about as he knocked his opponent down twice in the first round but still went on to lose. He has been hitting the training harder than ever and won his last fight in the second round with a huge elbow, and now he's looking to take bake what he thinks is rightfully his, the 155lbs title. Matthews has a brown belt in BJJ and his wrestling skill is second to none, he also has more than adequate striking skills giving him the confidence to stand and bang should he wish to. 8 out of his 9 wins have been TKO's so he definitely has stopping power.

Volya Nikolaev has spent his entire career at SFC, he's only ever lost 3 fights and is currently on a 3 fight win streak. He has had 2 previous title fights which he wasn't able to take the belt but all that changed a couple of weeks ago when he beat Norbert Schwager Li and become the title holder for the first time. This is his first defence of the title and he won't want to give it up easily. Nikolaev has similar striking skills to Matthews but has a very slight disadvantage when it comes to his ground game. He has a purple belt in bjj and whilst his wrestling skills are to a very high standard they are not quite in the same league as Matthews'.

This should be a great fight, Matthews seems a little more skilled in the ground game but has also lost a few more fights compared to Nikolaev. I don't think Matthews’s slight skill advantage is going to put Nikolaev off his game, he's fought tougher opponents before and come out the other side victorious. A difficult fight to pick a winner.

My Prediction: I'm going to go with the slight underdog but the reigning champion, Nikolaev. He's on a good winning streak and might have the momentum to protect his belt. Nikolaev by TKO in the 3rd round.

155lbs "Ryota" Alec Namiki (3-1-0){3-1-0} vs Jeff "Get Money" Smith (5-0-0){4-0-0}

Namiki is a Muay Thai specialist, a confident fight fighter with a flair for finishing fights. He's currently won all of his fights by KO or TKO and only lost once. He has basic wrestling skills and a blue belt in BJJ and obviously prefers to stand and bang. He has highly accurate kicks and loves nothing more than taking the fight into the clinch and using his powerful knees to end the fight. I think with a large stand up advantage over his opponent he will more than likely try and use a similar tactic and avoid the takedowns at all cost, I think the only question is, will his defence be good enough to with stand his opponents takedown attempts?

His opponent, Smith, is an out and out submission specialist. Smith has very basic striking skills but his real skills lie in his decent wrestling skills and a brown belt in BJJ. He's currently had 5 fights, all of which have been won by submission. There won't be any prizes for guessing Smith's game plan, he will either go offensive early on and try to take Namiki down before he gets chance to strike or possibly play it more cautiously and wait for Namiki to make a mistake and counter with a take down. If this fight does go to the ground, I can't see the result being good for Namiki but if Namaiki can keep the fight standing, maybe he can be the first person to really test Smiths chin.

My prediction: Smith by submission in round 2.

155lbs "Ravishing" Rick Rude (5-2-0){1-0-0} vs Andrew "shit Talking Punching Bag" Havener (11-15-3){6-4-0}

Rude is a well-rounded, highly skilled fighter. He has excellent boxing skills but also excellent wrestling skills and a purple belt in BJJ giving him many options to choose from when fighting an opponent. He made his debut for SFC in his last fight, winning some new fans by finishing the fight inside the first round with a dazzling combination. He is a real crowd pleaser and will no doubt win even more fans if he continues to finish his opponents in style. All 5 of his wins have been by Ko or TKO, most of them inside the first round.

Havener is no stranger to SFC fans, he's currently had 10 fights for SFC. He has had a bit of a stop start career but since joining SFC, he seems to be finding his winning ways more than the losses. He has great Muay Thai skills with a decent wrestling defence and a blue belt in BJJ. He has KO power but it will be interesting to see if Rude is prepared to slug it out with him or try his luck on the ground and use his BJJ advantage. Havener has a lot of experience and may prove to be a wise and slippery opponent. I think I'll have to go with the younger well rounded fighter, he may lack experience but if this fight goes to the ground, I'm not sure how easy Havener will find it to kick him off and stand the fight back up.

My prediction: Rude by TKO in round 3.

155lbs Jay "Falcon" Tyler (8-5-0){6-2-0} vs Joao GuardaChuva (5-2-0){4-2-0}

Tyler has had quite a successful career so far at SFC, winning 6 of his 8 fights. He has terrific boxing skills with pretty decent wrestling skills for defence and a blue belt in BJJ. He clearly has some stopping power in his right hand too, managing to finish 5 out of his 6 wins by KO or TKO. He is quite an accurate puncher but is still young and occasionally makes mistakes. He caught out last time out against Rick Rude with a missed uppercut, and Rude punished him by countering with a combo. I'm sure Tyler is eager to get back in the cage to prove that it was just a one off and will look for a win to impress his fans. GuardaChuva is a skilled wrestler with a purple belt in BJJ. He managed to put a stop to his 2 fight losing streak in his last fight and will now be hoping to keep on adding to the win column. I suspect he will look for an opportunity to take this fight to the floor and show the crowd how good a wrestler he is by moving into a dominant position and raining GnP down on Tyler. The question that everyone will be asking, is Tyler’s defence against takedowns up to the job? If Tyler can stuff a few takedowns early on, it may be enough to tire GuardaChuva just enough so Tyler can land a big blow and end the fight.

My prediction: Tyler by TKO in round 2.

Other fights taking place in this event;

Enzo Galasso v Jun Gyeong

Vasiliy Zadov v Eugeniy Akulenko

Jack Mitchelson v Anthony Pettis

Carl Maywho v Rufus Shepherd

Connor Flanery v Kyle Ward

Samuel Duke v Calvin Fawkes

And that concludes the preview for SFC Nikolaev vs Matthews.

Stay tuned for sfc Manison versus paris 2 preview coming shortly.

SFC Manison vs Paris 2 preview

to be held at Hayashi's Lounge, St. Petersburg on Sunday 13th April 2014.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1396880394b.jpg

The main event will be a title for the 185lbs title between Konstantin Manison v Craig Paris

185lbs Title Fight Konstantin "Manes" Manison (11-1-0){3-0-0} vs Craig "Power House" Paris (10-4-0){4-2-0}

Manison and Paris fought each other just over a month ago which saw Paris tapping out in under a minute due to the barrage of combinations being thrown at him. Paris clearly wasn't happy with the result and here we are with Manison vs Paris 2. This will Manison’s 3rd defence of the title, with Manison currently on a 3 fight win streak. Manison is a superb boxer with decent Muay Thai and wrestling skills and a blue belt in BJJ. He loves to throw a lot of combinations and so far it has been working out well for him. Another win here this weekend will see him defend his title yet again and still remain undefeated since signing his contract for SFC.

Paris is a submissions expert, 9 out of his 11 wins being won by submission. He has a brown belt in BJJ with decent wrestling skills and some basic striking skills. He also has experience on his side as he is 9 years older than Manison at 30 years of age, Manison being just 21. After his defeat against Manison, Paris has since fought Mike Hathaway and a first round submission has seen his confidence restored enough to come back for a shot at the title. If Paris can get this fight to the floor, he may have a strong chance of winning but to do that, he first has to negotiate the storm of combinations likely to be dished out by Manison.

My prediction: A close one to call, but I'd have to go with the history books and go for Manison by TKO round 2.

185lbs Anderson "The Spider" Silva (13-9-0){3-2-0} vs Mike Hathaway (6-2-0){1-1-0}

Silva is an excellent boxer with great wrestling skills and a white belt in BJJ. His last fight was a title shot against current title holder, Manison. Unfortunately for Silva, it wasn't successful and he is now looking to take on Hathaway to prove he is still a contender. He has some serious power in his hands and has proved it to his fans by finishing each of his last 3 wins all within around 10 seconds of the first round.

Hathaway has currently only had 2 fights at SFC, he won his debut but lost out to Paris in his last fight. He'll be looking to stealing the victory from Silva this weekend to push him back up the ranks. Hathaway has some great Muay Thai skills but also has decent boxing and wrestling skills and a blue belt in BJJ, making a fairly well-rounded fighter. At just 21 years of age he is still highly ambitious and with only 2 defeats in his career, obviously will set his sights on the title in the not too distant future.

My prediction: Silva’s powerful hands may just tip the balance in his favour, Silva by TKO round 2.

185lbs Rafael Salomon (6-0-0){5-0-0}vs John Vogh (4-2-0){3-2-0}

Salomon is just 21 years of age and is on an incredible 6 fight win streak, 5 of which have been won right here at SFC. He is a submissions specialist with 5 out of his 6 wins coming from submissions, also 5 out of his 6 wins have taken place before the bell for the second round has even rang. He has a brown belt in BJJ with some wrestling skill and basic striking ability. This youngster could have a long and bright future ahead of him if he can carry on like this.

Vogh is also a submissions master, all 4 of his wins have been by submission and unbelievably, they have also happened in the first round too. He has, however lost 2 of his fights by submission but is currently on a 3 fight win streak so maybe those early mistakes are long behind him. Vogh also has a brown belt in BJJ but has a small advantage due to his slightly better wrestling skills. Going off history, this should be a fast and furious fight, whoever gets the first takedown or best position could turn out to be the winner in this one. This could easily go either way.

My prediction: Salomon's win streak is just too big to miss, Salomon by Submission in round 1.

185lbs Petis "gop-stop" Chetkiy (6-5-0){0-3-0} vs Abu "Ali" Rock (6-0-0){5-0-0}

Chetkiy has a purple belt in BJJ with decent wrestling skills and some basic striking ability, although he has had 11 fights he is just starting out in his career at the age of just 20 years old. Unfortunately he is on a 4 fight losing streak at the moment, having had the unfortunate luck of meeting the division’s top fighters as they were climbing the ladder. I'm sure with 1 good win (and maybe a change of clothes) it will see his confidence and morale rocket and he should be back on the road to success.

Rock is another fighter currently on a 6 fight win streak (where does Mickey find them!!), with 5 of his wins taking place right here at SFC. Rock is an excellent wrestler with a blue belt in BJJ. He has a reputation for fighting sensibly and cautiously with 5 of his 6 wins coming from decisions, but with a record like that, who cares as it's obviously working well. This fight will more than likely take place on the ground, if Chetkiy is to overturn his luck he will need to make sure he is very quick when going to ground, if he can get into the right position before Rock can control him, he could have a chance of making Rock tap out.

My prediction: Again, Rock's win streak is too much to overlook. Rock by TKO in round 3.

Other fights also taking place on Sunday 13th;

Carl Rose v Yuri Tkyka

Xavier Travinski v Bjorn Larsson

Tony Tron v Wade Warner

And that concludes the preview of SFC Manison vs Paris 2.

Marcellus Wallace- Daniel O'Sullivan is an artist when it comes to submissions, but I've pounded out brown belts before. When I show up to a fight I'm always ready for a battle. I'm looking to redeem myself from my last outing against Puch. I'm not worried about title shots or anything like that; it would be a mistake to look past O'Sullivan.

SFC Punch vs Lim preview

to be held on 19th April, at The underground, St. Petersburg.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1397341501p.jpg

We kick the event off with a Lightweight Title Bout.

145lbs Title Charlie " Augustus" Lim (8-1-0){0-0-0} vs Robledo "The Death Angel" Puch (10-2-1){4-0-1}

Lima has outstanding Muay Thai skills with excellent wrestling and boxing skills, he also has a purple belt in BJJ making a real handful for any opponent. He's only ever lost 1 fight in the whole of his career, his last fight in which he lost DFC's featherweight title. This will be his first fight since the loss of his belt and I'm sure he'd like to replace it with the Lightweight SFC belt. He is known for his vicious head kicks and I'm sure the fans can't wait to see him in action.

Puch has remained undefeated since he joined SFC some 5 fights ago. An expert in BJJ having being awarded his brown belt, with great wrestling skill and more than basic striking skills, he will be looking to take the fight to the floor as quickly as possible to avoid Lim's dangerous MT skills and look to finish the fight early with a submission. He finished his last opponent in less than 30 seconds so his confidence should be sky high as he enters the cage.

Both these fighters have similar wrestling skill, so if it does go to the ground, it might not go all Puch's way. Puch does have the advantage of a higher belt in BJJ so Lim will have to be careful. Lim will probably have other ideas anyway and plan on keeping the fight standing.

My prediction: Lim by TKO in round 2.

145lbs Exp Two (6-1-0){2-1-0} vs Nikolai Kolpakov (12-9-0){6-5-0}

Two looks to have the skills of an out and out wrestler, superb wrestling skills and a purple belt in BJJ with just some very basic striking skills for defence and distracting his opponent. He's only lost 1 fight in his career so far but its still and impressive record never the less. His opponent, Kolpakov, has great striking ability with good wrestling skills which should help him avoid the takedowns that Two will definitely be trying to score. Kalpakov managed to put a hold to his 4 fight losing streak in his last fight so his confidence will be at an all-time high and he looks like he might step into the cage with more morale than his opponent. Enough to make a difference? We can only wait and see.

My prediction: Two by TKO round 2

145lbs "Dangerous" Daniel O'Sullivan (5-0-0){3-0-0} vs Marcellas Wallace (10-6-2){8-5-2}

O'Sullivan is riding high on the back a 5 fight win streak, 3 of which were won right here at SFC. He is great all round fighter with great striking capabilities and excellent wrestling skills and a purple belt in BJJ, a great skill set which enables him to change strategies on the fly. His opponent Wallace has quite similar skills, almost matching him in striking skills, and wrestling skills and also having a purple belt. O'Sullivan has a slight advantage in that his MT skills are much better and his wrestling skills are a little more advanced. This will make for a really great fight as there really isn't too much difference between these fighters on paper at least. The win has evaded Wallace for the last 3 fights and I'm sure he'll be looking to change that this weekend and get his career back on track.

My prediction: O'Sullivan by decision.

145lbs Aslan "Saber Tooth" Taisumov (5-1-0){5-0-0} vs Oleg "The Savage Mamedov (4-2-0){2-2-0}

Taisumov is on an impressive 6 fight win streak, taking 5 of those victories at SFC and none of those lasting more than 1 round. Taisumaov has very good boxing skill and good wrestling skills to prevent the takedown. Mamedov on first appearance looks to be a striker with good Muay Thai skills and modest wrestling skill, but he has the added advantage of being a purple belt in BJJ. An unusual collection of skills but it may leave his opponent wondering whether he has to defend against the takedown or if the BJJ is for defensive purposes only. If Taisumov can keep the fight standing, his heavy hands should add another victory to the win total. If Mamedov has the skill to takedown Taisumov, I can't see him getting back up and it will be a great result for Mamedov.

My prediction: Taisumov by TKO round2.

Other fights also taking place;

145lbs Joseph Corrales v Tetsuya Tate

145lbs Pozar Pozar v Smeder Balovich

145lbs Marc Lewis Dillinger v Rolando Dimagiba

145lbs Marco Ferk v Kirill Chernicin

Louis Terry: big shout out to Mr. Hart for giving me shot at a championship fight! Finally, a chance to make a name for myself in the MMA scene.

I've always been elusive to reporters and the media, and it's deliberate. I think, a fighter just needs to keep his head low, train, and fight with all might. However, this chance at a championship title for a considerable newb like me is a privilege, and I can't let this pass without even thanking the organizers, so thank you.

Khrapov is a daunting opponent. Based on statistics, I may not even hold up in the cage without getting knocked up. But that's just numbers, you know, when I step up to the cage, those practically don't matter. I'll give everything and struggle if i must to get that belt.

Samuel Duke "Congrats to Louis Terry on the title shot. It is well deserved. I am still new to the organization. But you have been at the top for a while I know. And it is well deserved. I will be sure to be there watching. Because I am sure it will be a great fight. And I want to be there when you win that title."

"Dangerous" Daniel O'Sullivan

22 years old

145lbs

6-0

"It was an honour fighting Wallace, he's a tough dude. He gave me a good competitive fight and that's what I expected. They say never leave it in the hands of the judges and after a close round 1, I didn't feel comfortable leaving the result of the fight in the hands of the judges, so really went for the submission in the 3rd and eventually got him to tap when I went for the RNC.

I hope he bounces back from this loss and wins his next fight, he hasn't had a great run recently but he's got the skills to get out of this bad run and pull off a win in his next fight.

Also was great seeing my name in the event previews. Man, I'm not used to it. I think that's the first time I've ever been featured in an online preview and/or review, so big thanks to StuMacK for featuring me in his preview for the SFC show.

Now I'm heading back to Amsterdam to rest and then training full time in preparation for my title fight with Lim. He's probably one of the top featherweight prospects in the world atm but I also believe I'm one of the top featherweight prospects in the world and hopefully by the end of our title fight, I'll be the one victorious and I'll be taking the title back home."

SFC Terry vs Khrapov preview

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1399113586Khrapov%20vs%20Terry02.jpg

170lbs Title fight Louis Terry(7-0-0){4-0-0} vs Vasiliy " Khozyain" Khrapov(10-5-0){2-0-0}

Terry is a submissions specialist who joined SFC after his first few qfc fights. He's made steady progress up the 170 lbs division scoring a huge victory in his last fight by beating the former title holder, Just Roll, inside the first round with a perfectly executed guillotine. This now puts him in the number 1 contender spot and he is rightly being given a chance to climb that final step and try and take the belt away from the new champion, Khrapov.

Khrapov beat Stephen Griffiths last time out by unanimous decision to become the 170lbs title holder. This will be his first defence and it certainly won't be an easy task. Khrapov has great striking skill with good wrestling technique with a blue belt in BJJ. He has dangerous power in his hands and Terry will have to be extra careful he doesn't get caught by a big right hand when he inevitably goes for the takedown. Both these fighters are on a great run of form and it should make for an excellent title fight.

My prediction: Khrapov spirits will be at an all-time high after winning the belt, I think he will win again. Khrapov by TKO in round 3.

170lbs Just Roll(7-2-0){5-2-0} vs Andrey "Laps" Lapis(8-4-0){1-2-0}

After five straight wins and 5 successful title defences Roll finally lost his belt to Griffiths 2 fights ago. His last fight was against Terry and his mind still wasn't 100% focussed on the task in hand after his first ever loss and he ended up being submitted. I'm sure this time he will be in top shape, both physically and mentally and will look to get this victory as part of the first steps to reclaiming his title back. He is an expert in submissions taking 6 out of 7 wins by making his opponent tap out. He has a brown belt in BJJ and excellent wrestling skill. Lapis is also no slouch when it comes to submitting his opponents. With a black belt in BJJ and great wrestling technique it is easy to see why 5 of his 8 wins have come by way of submission. He also has the advantage of having good striking ability and it will be interesting to see if he tries to keep the fight standing and use his advantage or play Roll at his own game and prove to the fans who is the best ground fighter.

My prediction: I think this could be the start of Roll's return. Roll by submission in round 2.

170lbs Andrew Holland(7-2-0){6-1-0} vs Ramon "Tio" Monzon(5-1-0){3-0-0}

Holland is a good all round fighter with great striking skill, decent wrestling technique and a blue belt in BJJ. He has only ever lost 1 fight since his time at SFC and that was to the then title holder, Just Roll. Since that defeat he has managed another 3 career wins and is climbing steadily up the ranks to attempt to be the number 1 contender again. Monzon is a striker with crazy KO ability, he has managed to knock 4 out of his 5 opponents out cold in his last 5 fights, some of them in amazing style too making him a firm favourite with the fans. Holland also has KO power, winning all 7 of his fights by TKO/KO. It will be interesting to see if one fighter decides to play it cautiously in the hope of spotting an opportunity to finish or whether the will both go all out for the win.

My prediction: Very difficult to call this fight, both are on winning streaks but I think I'd have to go with the flair of Monzon. Monzon by TKO in round 3.

170lbs Stephen "The Crossbow Cannibal" Griffiths(9-3-1){5-3-1} vs Lance "Lights Out" Waters(7-2-0){0-0-0}

This will be Griffith's first fight since losing the title and will be a great test to see if he's going to come back harder than ever or take a couple of fights to find his rhythm again. He's a monster of a ground fighter with exceptional wrestling skill and a black belt in BJJ, he also has decent striking ability making him a very dangerous opponent for a lot of fighters. Waters will be making his debut for SFC this weekend, if he can win against Griffiths in his debut he will surely have a lot of fighters anxiously watching their backs to see who he's going after next. His is a very talented Muay Thai fighter with great wrestling technique and a purple belt in BJJ, making him capable of fighting in any scenario, on paper at least. Let's see how he does against some of the best SFC has to offer.

My prediction: It's a brave thing to do but I think Waters has possibly bitten off more than he can chew in this one: Griffiths by submission in round 2.

Other fights taking place this weekend;

170lbs Craig Clifton v Ushman Haszan

170lbs Wrestler Savvy v Gunnar Ludvik

170lbs Alexander Schelokov v Paul Mackintosh

170lbs Neil Patrick Harris v Brian Gummidge

170lbs Kazekage Gaara v Ragner Thlekbuidi

170lbs Justin Sepulveda v Chinny Magalhaes

Louis Terry: An unfortunate loss. But I can't say that I didn't expect it. Khrap, can I call him Khrap?, hehe, anyway, he was a tough match up. A real counter to my fighting style. I felt I had progress with my Striking Defense, but it didn't hold up during the fight. Kudos to Khrapov. Well deserved win.

BUT this will not mean you will not be seeing me wearing that belt in the future.
