I'm only 17-years-old and some of you may over-look me because of that, but please believe that my skills far proceed any 17-year-old's that you have seen before! I am hungry, determined and ready to start taking names! Sonny Bill Uru, I look forward to taking your name, your jaw and a win home with me on the 24th!

Robert "Saggitarius" Archer (1-2, 1KO)

I have become more versatile. I have more tools now. My striking is now well rounded, and you will see the new, improved version of Robert Archer. I respect Johnny Lawrence, he's got great elbows, but I've got weapons to stop them. I'll be extremely happy if I'll manage to win against him and get my win streak going :)

Thank you Mr Worldwide for the KO of the night honor, although in all fairness I deserved it, I made short work of an older, more experienced fighter and finished him off in style with a fancy spinning back fist! #1 is my goal and no one will stop me getting there!

XKC 12

Sunday, August 31st, 2014

Live From Hayashi's Lounge in London, England

MAIN EVENT

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/539/VC9M3q.jpg

XKC World Lightweight Title

Pat "HD" Barry (27-8-1, 1-0 XKC) vs. "Kapteeni Menkkaparta" Jaakko Kolloo © (22-7-3, 2-2 XKC)

Pat Barry, an American out of New Orleans, has led a long, and successful career in both MMA, and kickboxing, while he was a knock out machine earlier in his career, he more often now uses his superior cardio to outpace his opponents, grinding out decision victories. Not to say he still can't knock guys out as evidenced in his final fight with Dynasty K-1, a brutal 19 second head kick knock out over Kamikaze Suzuki. He has elite level skills in both his boxing and Muay Thai, and in his XKC debut, earned a close fought Unanimous Decision victory over Kid Kamakaze that earned him a shot at the title!

Jaakko Kolloo, fighting out of Pornainen, Finland, is the XKC Lightweight Champion! While most of his career was fought in mixed martial arts organizations, he has turned his attention fully to K-1, and though he struggled to make the transition, losing his first two XKC bouts, including a Lightweight Title clash with Tom Kite, he now has back to back victories under his belt, with a third round TKO victory over Captain Kat, and a five round Unanimous Decision victory in an all out war with Bong Toe, that earned him the Lightweight Title!

Prediction: In a battle of two cardio kingpins, it will likely be Barry's Elite level striking that tips the scales. Barry by UD.

CO-MAIN EVENT

Heavyweight Bout

"Panthera Onca" Joaozinho Gurgel (13-10-0, 1-1 XKC) vs. Sexy Julian (13-7, 2-1 XKC)

Joaozinho Gurgel, from Brasilia, Brazil, is a Muay Thai striker, whose vicious, come forward, knock out, or get knocked out style has made him a favorite of the fans, and earned him plenty of money, with 13 of the night bonuses in 23 career fights. Gurgel has gone to the judges scorecards just twice in his combat sports career, and won't be looking to go to them tonight!

Sexy Julian, from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, is another finisher, with power in his hands, he has been to a decision just once in his kickboxing career, in his CTC debut, a decision victory in a Fight of the Night bout against Zbigniew Ciosek, and while he lost his next fight by KO to Tak Sin Thanarat, he bounced back in his last fight to earn a 43 second TKO victory over Peter Maynard, and return to his winning ways!

Prediction: With two known finishers entering the ring, there are likely to be fireworks, and it would be surprising to see this go to the judges scorecards, while it's a hard choice, I think Gurgel's wrestling training will give him the advantage in the clinch. Gurgel by KO in Round 2.

UNDERCARD

Light Heavyweight Bout

Joseph Amadi (6-3, 5-3 XKC) vs. Armas Lumpio (8-2, 3-2 XKC)

Joseph Amadi, a native of Abuja in Nigeria, is an excellent boxer, who is rounding out his striking skill set with some respectable Muay Thai, he is very physically strong, and is knock for finishing his opponents, he won the Light Heavyweight Title with a brutal knock out of Je Tunaki at XKC 2, and had three successful defenses, all won by TKO, two in the first round, before losing the title by second round TKO to Dark Killer in his last fight. He was eager to jump right back into the ring and get a start on his road back to the title!

Armas Lumpio, out of Kuusamo, Finland, is a well rounded striker, with skills in both boxing, and muay thai, and a strong wrestling base for his clinch work. He is powerful, and is coming off a first round TKO victory over Je Tunaki. Lumpio will likely want to keep this fight in the clinch, where he can control Amadi, while Amadi will likely want to fight at range, where he can use his reach, and superior boxing to pick Lumpio apart!

Prediction: I think Lumpio's more rounded skill set will give him the advantage in this one. Lumpio by third round TKO.

Heavyweight Bout

Ino Tatsuya (1-2, XKC Debut) vs. "Brysk" Bjarno Lackenmeier (14-5-1, 2-2 XKC)

Ino Tatsuya, fighting out of Osaka, Japan, has long been one of the greatest Muay Thai coaches in the world, however, at 33 he has yet to fight in any credible organization kickboxing or otherwise, with his three fights all coming in the Quick Fighting Championship! However, he has been rounding out his skills in boxing, and wrestling, and is now looking to fight professionally instead of just training other fighters!

Bjarno Lackenmeier is a Muay Thai striker from Skagen in Denmark, he is known as a cardio machine, able to grind any opponent to the judges scorecards, with only two of his fourteen victories coming by way of a finish. However, he looked completely demoralized following his decision loss to Ser Gregor Clegane in his last fight!

Prediction: While I might have gone with Lackenmeier in this fight under nominal circumstances, if Lackenmeier's morale isn't worked up before the fight, Tatsuya should have no problem picking up his first XKC victory! Tatsuya by 1st Round TKO.

Super Heavyweight Bout

Shezzo "Habagat" Wicked (4-6, 1-1 XKC) vs. Antti Meijeri (3-3, 2-3 XKC)

Shezzo Wicked, from Sampaloc in the Philippines, is an exceptional boxer, who has worked hard to round out his skills in Muay Thai and wrestling as well! While he took a beating in Quick Fighting Championship early in his career, he reeled off a four fight winning streak, including a first round TKO victory over Tim Yankee in his XKC debut that earned him a fight with XKC Hall of Famer Giacomo Benvenuti for the Super Heavyweight Title, which he lost by knock out in the second round in his last fight!

Antti Meijeri is a Muay Thai fighter from Hanko in Finland, who also has strong boxing, and emerging wrestling skills to back up his clinch work. Meijeri recently had a two fight winning streak (Unanimous Decision over Left Fist of Steel Penn, 1st Round TKO over Tim Yankee) broken when he lost by first round knock out to Sam Makatua!

Prediction: Shezzo Wicked has the better wrestling, and boxing skills, plus managed to survive a round with Benvenuti, which no other fighter has managed to do, so I'm pretty confident picking him for the victory here. Wicked by TKO (Round 2).

PRELIMINARY CARD

Featherweight Bout

"Adrijan" Billy Joakim-Antrim (5-2, 0-1 XKC) vs. Zhu "Quick" Yuan (0-3, XKC Debut)

Billy Joakim-Antrim is an outlaw from Fort Winter, Old Mexico, USA, who has heavy hands, and is good working from the clinch, with his Muay Thai fighting style, his debut in XKC was a bloody three round war with Hematoma Hominick, that had Antrim come out on the wrong end of a Unanimous Decision.

Zhu Yuan fights out of Mekong, China, and likes to fight at distance, using his boxing to pick opponents apart, he has a lot of heart, and is difficult to knock out, however, he fought three times in the Extreme Fist Fighting Association in Amsterdam, losing twice by Unanimous Decision, and once by TKO in the fourth round! However, his morale will have taken a hit, being dropped by his manager going into the fight.

Prediction: Yuan has yet to pick up a victory, and without a manager in his corner, I don't see him picking one up this time, especially against a skilled fighter like Antrim, who will likely pick up his first XKC victory! Antrim by UD.

Middleweight Bout

"Saggitarius" Robert Archer (2-2, 2-2 XKC) vs. Simon Sor Suchart (0-0, XKC Debut)

Robert Archer fights out of Liverpool, England, and has strong boxing, with emerging clinch skills. Thus far in his short career he has tended towards victory by early finish, but has yet to win when the fight goes past the first round. He broke a two fight losing streak in his last fight with a first round knock out over Johnny Lawrence!

Simon Sor Suchart is a big 185er from Kingston, Jamaica! He is entering his first professional fight here in the XKC, but scouts from the amateur circuit report that he has a well rounded striking repetoire that should hold him in good stead in the sport of kickboxing!

Prediction: We don't know much about Suchart, so it's hard to pick him, while he has the better striking, Archer's wrestling may stand him in good stead if he can get to the clinch. Archer TKO (Round 1).

Super Heavyweight Bout

Harold "Badr" Hari (2-3, 2-1 XKC) vs. Luke Plouman Jnr (0-0, XKC Debut)

Harold Hari fights out of Israel, and is a well rounded striker, proficient in both boxing and Muay Thai! Hari tends to like to fight at distance, picking opponents apart with precision striking, he shows unwavering confidence in the ring, and won his first two XKC bouts, including a lethal head kick knock out over Asos Than, but in his last fight, but in his last fight, he lost to the Left Fist of Steel Penn by head kick knock out.

Luke Plouman Jnr is another fighter making his professional debut tonight, fighting out of Middlesborough, UK, by all reports an exceptional Muay Thai fighter with some emerging boxing skills, however, we will have to wait until later tonight to see what he really has to offer at the professional level!

Prediction: Plouman seems well trained, but will be in tough against Harold Hari, who has been impressive in most of his XKC fights, I will go with experience. Hari by TKO (Round 3).

Light Heavyweight Bout

"The Warlord" Temujin Khan (0-0, XKC Debut) vs. Lucifer Tyson (0-0, XKC Debut)

A battle between two fighters new to professional kickboxing, as hulking Muay Thai striker Temujin Khan, out of Ulan Bator, Mongolia, and Lucifer Tyson, a more well rounded fighter out of London, England enter the ring! Both will be looking to impress in their first XKC contest, and pick up that all important first career victory! While Khan will likely have the advantage in his kicks, and clinchwork, Tyson will have an advantage with his fists if he can keep the fight at distance.

Prediction: A tough call since we know very little about either fighter, but will side with Tyson's more rounded striking game. Tyson by UD.

Middleweight Bout

"Mr. Turkish Delight" Hadi Ozturk (2-1, 2-1 XKC) vs. Johnny "Karate Kid" Lawrence (0-2, 0-2 XKC)

We will start off the night with a battle between two participants from the recent Superior Warrior Tournament! Hadi Ozturk, an absolute delight from Dalaman in Turkey! He is a Muay Thai striker with excellent kicks, but his boxing game is also coming along. He usually prefers to fight at distance, and has a chin made of concrete, able to absorb any punishment his opponent can threaten with! All of his fights in the Superior Warrior Tournament went to the judges, and he is coming off a victory over Robert Archer!

Johnny Lawrence, a devastating Muay Thai striker, from Buffalo, New York in the USA, will have the advantage in the Muay Thai, and wrestling in this fight, and likes to fight from the clinch, though he's had precious little luck getting there in his first couple fights. He will want to make this a dirty inside brawl, and get to winning ways, as he lost both his Superior Warrior fights by T/KO in the first round!

Prediction: While Lawrence could be devastating if he can make this a dirty, up close fight, my money is on Ozturk's more well rounded striking game, and granite chin. Ozturk by UD.

Quick Notes

Xtreme K-1 Combat is always looking to recruit fighters, and has an especially big need for fighters for the 145, and 185 lbs divisions, both are 240K ID restricted.

I am always willing to hear criticism, or praise of my work, as this is my first ever written preview, I wouldn't mind recieving feedback from the ones reading it, however, let's not hijack the smack talk thread for such things, feel free to PM me your thoughts in game, I am Marcus Stephens (99762). Thank you.

Robert Archer (2-2) (2 KO)

I'm 80% sure that Simon Sor Suchart will be another victim of my Knockout Power. He seems to be a good man, both as a competitor and as a person, it's just that I'm more experienced and my clinch game is on a whole different level, as well as my Striking Defense. He just chose a bad opponent to start his career with :)

P.S. If I win, I want a rematch with the man himself - Hadi Ozturk!!! I know he will beat Johnny Lawrence as well and I really want to redeem myself against him!

"The Warlord" Temujin Khan (KT Debut)

Media: Mister Temujin Khan please, this will be your pro KT debut, how are you feeling before that?

Temujin: Nervous. My future depends on this fight, I'll have to show the best Temujin Khan that night.

Media: What do you think of your opponent, Lucifer Tyson?

Temujin: He hasn't ever fought proffesionally as well. All I know is that he is a man I'll have to fight.

Media: What do you think will help you to win this fight?

Temujin: The support of my friends and fight fans in London. Staying sharp and cold blooded mentally should help as well.

Media: Do you have any records in your Amateur Career?

Temujin: I'm the 2013 Mongolian Muay Thai National Amateur Champion.

Media: Mongolians are known worldwide for their wrestling ability. Are you a good wrestler as well?

Temujin: No. I never took wrestling classes yet, only Muay Thai. I don't think your skills depend on your nationality. Not every Brazilian is good at Soccer or Jiu-Jitsu. Not every Canadian is a Hockey player.

Media: Thank you, Mister Khan. We wish you good luck in your KT Debut.

Temujin: Thanks.

"Looking forward to my K1 fight vs Johnny "The Karate Kid" Lawrence (0-2), I know quite a few people consider me a heavy favourite for this fight but anything can happen in combat sports, I could have a bad night or Johnny could have a great night and end up catching me off guard and KOing me.

I respect Johnny, he seems keen to get back in that ring and try and get his first K1 win. His last fight was only 12 days ago, I know some might question his decision to step back in the ring so soon but I respect his choice. It's just a shame for him that he's going to be standing across from me in that ring. I intend on winning the fight and I want to make sure I keep moving up the Middleweight rankings.

Some people have been saying to me about Robert Archer (2-2) calling me out for a rematch if he wins his next fight, I've talked previously about him and said about how I respect the guy, especially since we were on the same team in the Superior Warrior Season 1 tournament but if I'm honest the fight doesn't interest me. I proved I was the better fighter fair and square, and I'm not meaning this in a disrespectful way but I don't want to end his K1 career before it has even started.

Perhaps in the future if both myself and Robert keep winning K1 fights, we might fight once more... who knows, it might even be a title contenders fight to see who gets the next title shot. But for now, I think it's best that we both concentrate on our next fights, instead of thinking too much about the future. "

Robert Archer (2-2) (2 KO)

I appreciate your desire to reject my offer to fight. If it wasn't you, I'd say that my opponent is ducking. But I understand, you won legitimately against me and you might want to fight higher level opponents. But I still have some targets on my eye, hope I can win against them to get my XKC title shot. That would be the biggest prize for me :)

"Mr. Steel Penn, our paths shall cross again on September 21st and I look forward to the rematch. I have no doubt your abilities have improved since June 27th, and I have no doubt the added incentive of the Super Heavyweight Championship will inspire you that much more. There has been much talk as of late in the organization and that's expected, but for anyone to overlook me is indeed potentially costly. Train well, prepare thoroughly, and I'll see you in the ring soon enough. Now if you'll excuse me, I have other business to tend to."

XKC 13

Monday, September 8th, 2014

Live From Hard Knocks in London, England

MAIN EVENT

Heavyweight Bout

"Mr. ASHY TO CLASSY" Edward Nygma (30-9, 1 NC, 6-2, 1NC XKC) vs. Alexander "Zala" Zalachenko (17-13, 1-1 XKC)

Edward Nygma is a born finisher from HELL in Albania, having won 27 of his 30 victories by TKO! He has elite level boxing, with strong Muay Thai, and wrestling skills to back that up. He has strong cardio, and had a two fight winning streak snapped in his last fight, when he was TKOed in the first round by Tak Sin Thanarat!

Alexander Zalachenko is a high level striker all around from Obukhovo, Russia, he has high level skills in both boxing, and muay thai, but his lack of a wrestling base will probably give Nygma the advantage in the clinch. He has a granite chin, and strong cardio, known for dragging fights into deep water. His last fight was a tightly fought Split Decision victory over Zbigniew Ciosek!

Prediction: A fight that will likely be decided on the basis of fighter morale. With Nygma having superior boxing, and a clinch advantage, and Zalachenko having low morale, I will definately go with Nygma. Nygma by TKO (Round 1).

CO-MAIN EVENT

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/539/VC9M3q.jpg

XKC World Middleweight Title/Superior Warrior Tournament Final

"General" Mathew Ridgeway (5-0, 5-0 XKC) vs. "Don" Tim Roth (4-1, 4-1 XKC)

It's a rematch in the Final of the Superior Warrior Tournament, as we expect fireworks with Ridgeway and Roth colliding again! The two met in the third round of the tournament, with the all out war ending in a decision victory for Ridgeway!

Mathew Ridgeway is a boxer from Fort Montroe in the USA, and will definately have the advantage with the hands today. He was the only fighter to come out of the Superior Warrior tournament without the blemish of a loss on his record, winning all five of his fights, all but the decision over Roth being finished via punches in the second round!

Tim Roth is a Muay Thai striker from Bristol in the United Kingdom, Roth is likely to have the advantage with kicking techniques, though the last fight showed that Ridgeway will likely have the advantage in the clinch, due to his better wrestling base. Roth has heavy hands, winning three of his four victories by TKO with punches!

Prediction: While Roth has the heavy hands to have a punchers chance here, Ridgeway's better wrestling base will likely give him the advantage in the clinch, taking away one of Roth's best weapons, so with apologies to my mentor, I believe Ridgeway will likely take the belt. Ridgeway by UD.

UNDERCARD

Light Heavyweight Bout

Brenton Bryce (5-6, 0-2 XKC) vs. Heavy Hands (4-2, 4-2 XKC)

Another rematch on the card, as Bryce and Hands faced off at XKC 10, with the fight ending at 1:45, and Hands being awarded the victory by doctor stoppage due to a cut.

Brenton Bryce is a former hockey player from Alberta, Canada, known more for his skill with his fists than his skill with a stick. He has respectable skills in both boxing, and Muay Thai, and his hockey fighting back ground gives him a decent base for clinch work. He began his career on the Island, but with four of his five victories coming in Quick Fighting Championship it's hard to tell if he's legit or not. He has lost both his fights since coming to XKC, a 21 second TKO loss to Joseph Amadi in a 205 lbs Title Fight, and a loss by cut to Heavy Hands in his last fight.

Heavy Hands is a well rounded striker from The Rock in the USA, with strong skills in both boxing and Muay Thai, he should have the advantage striking from distance, but Bryce's wrestling advantage may give him an edge in the clinch. Hands is a cardio machine with heavy hands, and snapped a two fight losing streak with his victory by cut over Bryce in his last fight!

Prediction: While I would normally probably pick Hands in this fight, he has no morale, so should be an easy victory for Bryce. Bryce by TKO (Round 1).

Lightweight Bout

"THE DEATH RIDER" Kamikaze Sazuki (24-19-1, 0-1 XKC) vs. "Sir" Bedivere Vita Cadoc (3-3, 2-1 XKC)

Kamikaze Sazuki is an elite level boxer from Osaka, Japan, who also has good Muay Thai skills, and clinch work. He has strong cardio, with half his 24 wins coming by decision, but also is powerful, able to TKO guys if he finds an opening. He had his XKC debut at XKC 11, where he lost a Unanimous Decision to Feyd Rautha Harkonnen.

Bedivere Vita Cadoc is one of the Knights of King Arthur's round table, from Camelot in Wales. He is one of the most well rounded fighters, with high level boxing, and Muay Thai skills, as well as a strong wrestling base to help with his clinch work. He has a granite chin, and while he lost three of his first four career fights, he is coming off back to back victories over Gar Logan!

Prediction: While Sazuki is more experienced, and a better boxer, I believe that Bedivere's Muay Thai advantage, and probable advantage in the clinch will give him the advantage in the fight if he can get it in close. Bedivere by TKO (3rd Round).

Lightweight Bout

"Sir" Lucan The Butler (3-3, 1-3 XKC) vs. Ricardo "Walang" Awa (16-16-1, 0-1 XKC)

Lucan the Butler has obviously lept forward several centuries in time, hailing from Camelot in Wales, he is looking to prove that he is as good a warrior as his brother Sir Bedivere! He has had little luck thus far in XKC, and while he has a very good skill set for success, with high level boxing and muay thai skills, it hasn't traslated to success in the ring. After winning a decision in his XKC debut, Lucan has lost his last three fights, the last two by decision to Tom Kite.

Ricardo Awa is a well rounded striker from Tondo in the Philippines, predominantly a Muay Thai striker, he is powerful, and has a strong boxing game as well as a wrestling base. Surprisingly, his prowess in the bedroom, and the garden has not translated to consistent success in MMA or kickboxing, though he was at one point the Hilo Hardhitters Welterweight Champion. He made his XKC debut at XKC 10, losing to Danny Osei Tutu by first round TKO!

Prediction: Again a problem with morale will dictate my decision here, as Awa is not feeling very good about himself at the moment. I believe that Lucan the Butler will end his losing streak! The Butler by TKO (Round 2).

PRELIMINARY CARD

Welterweight Bout

Sonny Bill "Super Maori" Uru (2-5, 2-5 XKC) vs. Piotr Redinov (9-3, 1-3 XKC)

Sonny Bill Uru is an excellent boxer from Auckland, New Zealand, with improving Muay Thai, and clinch games, he has knock out power in his big right hand, that he used to pick up his knock out of the night award against Mark Addison at XKC 9, but has struggled to sustain success, as he lost in his last fight against Mike Hussle by first round TKO!

Piotr Redinov is a Muay Thai striker from Warshava, Poland, with almost no boxing skill, however he has a wrestling base for his clinch work that will likely give him an advantage should the fight be fought in close. He has knock out power, but has looked pretty demoralized lately after back to back losses by first round T/KO to John Luther, and Pat Garret!

Prediction: Under optimal circumstances I would probably go with Redinov, but I have a feeling Sonny Bill Uru's big right hand will get him the victory thanks to a lack of morale for Redinov. Uru by TKO (Round 1).

Welterweight Bout

Bill Bumfight (3-1, XKC Debut) vs. Atauallah "Orb Spider" Ganteaume (0-0, XKC Debut)

Bill Bumfight, an accomplished boxer from New York, has fought all his previous bouts with Golden Ring, a boxing promotion, with all three of his victories coming by T/KO in the first round. A finisher, he is noted however almost exclusively for his boxing, though rumour has it he has been working on his Muay Thai techniques in training. We will have to see how he cuts it with the kickboxing transition.

Not much is known of the Orb Spider, a young man from Arima in Trinidad & Tobago, with this being his first professional fight, amateur scouts have him down as a well rounded striker, with some good clinch work, but it is oftentimes difficult to gauge how amateur experience will translate in the professional ring.

Prediction: Normally I would go with the more experienced fighter here, but assuming Ganteaume can live up to his "scouting report", I think wins here in his professional debut. Ganteaume by TKO (Round 2).

Middleweight Bout/Superior Warrior Tournament 3rd Place Bout

"Make Them Bleed" Brutal Demise (3-2, 3-2 XKC) vs. Albert "Chalky" White (2-3, 2-3 XKC)

Another rematch in the battle for third place in the Super Warrior Tournament, this one a bit more lopsided first time around, as Brutal Demise dominated White for 1:35, before unleashing a massive uppercut for the TKO victory!

Brutal Demise is a well-rounded kickboxer from Bristol in the United Kingdom, he has strong Muay Thai, and a wrestling base for his clinchwork, and his boxing is coming around, helped by natural KO Power, while he won his first three fights in the tournament by brutal finishes, he is coming off back to back losses by second round TKO to Tim Roth in the third round of the tournament, and to Mathew Ridgeway in the Semi-Final!

Albert White is a boxer from Belgium, who specializes in fighting with his hands, with not much skill in many of the other areas of the sport. He is heavy handed, and won his first two fights of the tournament, before losing three consecutive fights by TKO to Brutal Demise, and Mathew Ridgeway in the third round, and to Tim Roth in the Semi-Final!

Prediction: Their first fight was a lopsided victory for Brutal Demise, and I expect it will be no different this time out. Demise by TKO (1st Round).

From what it looks like, the Dynamo KT fighters will mainly be looking to find a home here.

Although i got knocked out in the first round, and did so in embarrassing fashion i would like to ask for a second chance here. What are the chances of a wildcard entry IF someone pulls out of the tourney?

I do not want my legacy to be that one embarrassing performance in the ring.
