Aye Douglas. You almost had me with that head kick and had me seeing stars! I got a bit confused wondering why you would try to submit me when you clearly had me rocked.

But no matter! What's done is done and what's important now is that we enjoy our beer. As per our agreement, first beer is on me!

"Cheers mate!"

Oh PS: "General" Tso, i see you won your fight too. Are you still cooking your fried chicken? After the beatdown Douglas McCullough and i put each other through, a bucket of your chicken would go down nicely with the beer we're consuming!

Rutger "Dutch" DeBramalo, fresh off his successful Island debut, had this to say at the post fight presser:

As one of the younger fighters competing on the Island, I know I'm going to be the dog in most of these fights. I'm going to show everyone that it's not about skill. It's about taking a risk to prove that you are the man. I will be the IFF MW champ and I will be the season MW champion. Believe that.

Faster recovery means more fighting which means more money for orgs, which means more money for fighters, which means more capacity for supps and clothes, etc.

I really like Season 1, but it wouldn't hurt to trial fast recover this season I think.

How are some guys supposed to compete with rich fighters on the Island? I ask because my guy can barely afford to train (I guess I should have been part time from the start, at a cheap gym?) while other fighters have thousands of dollars. I saw a guy with over $3000 and only one fight under his belt. Where did all that cash come from? Insane sponsorship or something?

I have two sponsors; Ace of Spades paid me a nice amount but my other one, Atlantis, only gave a discount on supplements. If someone could let me know how to get a few grand quickly, it would be very helpful.

My Island fighter got an early contract from IFF when they still had some cash, so hes flush with over 3k after his first win. He has also spent all of his time at a $50 gym compared to your guy who is at a $750 gym, so some of the $ disparity is right there.

I really don't get why anyone would be at a 750 gym or even create one at this point, all of my training to this point has been weights and yoga.

Cheers man, will hopefully employ a better gameplan and knock him out.

You have nothing against my liver kicks.

It's The Island. No one is rich. Everyone started on the same money. Most people are so poor they can't even get a gym or a fight to earn money because the companies have no money.

^^^^^^ I got 400dollars in my company account till the 19th event, 1st 2 events were 2 much for contracts & not enough people on seats :( and the contracts are only 1k1k1k and even that was 2 much at the start I went a little over board :lol2: and know paying for the mistake I have a lot of people counting on me at the moment I have a waiting list that is as long as my arm, don't worry I have short arms its not that long :lol2:

but I will come on here and say no matter how far we look down at the moment we will not give up and bounce back, Island domination was my plan for the island and that plan has not changed, I plan to have the most competitive roster and best contracts and be number 1. Island Freedom Fighters may be down at the moment but when we have nothing to lose and out backs against the wall we are just as dangerous, WE WILL SUCCEED :)

That's why I was confused when I saw a guy with around $3500 a few days in, which to me, is rich for the Island considering the time frame.

I imagine he got say, $300 from winning a fight, and two $750 sponsors or something but how did companies afford to give him that much?
