Floppzzy
Hi all, I decided to post a topic with a catchy name today, because I was really happy with myself after making a decision. I decided to sack a fighter from a guy who never fought for me after he rejected a fight for the fifth time. The guy never have a reason why and I even set him up with cans to try and get him to fight. He even asked for a fight twice and when I offered one it was too late once and to close the other time (they were a week apart). What happened after I sacked him was even better! I found out that he was one of the 2 guys who gave me a 1 rating in the past so my rating just moved up to 95%. I know there are two because I had a 4% drop twice with one new rating. I won't name him here as that's not good form, but I do advice every club owner to just take the loss is they have a guy that keeps refusing fights (even easy ones) as he's most likely just trying to screw you over anyway. Just my two cents! 6

Damn, it took five declined (easy) fights without any reason given to make you kick that dummy out from the org? Personally I've axed these types wayyyyyy before than that just to save my nerves. But IMHO, after so much douchebaggery I think it would actually be good form to give that dude a name so the other org owners like me can avoid signing his fighters.
Guest
I thought each manager could only vote for an org's rating once regardless of the number of fighters they have in that org?
DaBest
I thought each manager could only vote for an org's rating once regardless of the number of fighters they have in that org? This is correct but I think he was saying that he was one of two managers with a fighter there that has given him a 1 rating.

I'd love to form a blacklist with other organisations to help each other out. Perhaps that night be a good idea, I'll see if I can set something up...

Personally I've axed these types wayyyyyy before than that just to save my nerves. I usually release a guy almost immediately if he is rejecting fights. I can accept a decent excuse, but in my opinion very few excuses are decent. I always try to matchup fighters based on their p4p and that their skills are on the same "star" level, with a few exceptions in higher ranking fights. Either way, you did the right thing to boot this manager out of your org. 5 rejected fights is ridiculous.

Perhaps that night be a good idea, I'll see if I can set something up... I just did the same flushing out process last night lol. I would be interested a blacklist as I think thats the only thing that really annoys me about running an org and it would be easier to know before you offer a contract if it is worth your while. I do suspect some people just sign younger fighters for the signing bonus then refuse fights for training(which is fair enough imo) but the intention is just to see out the activity clause and not fight so they can leave. Don't get me wrong I have plenty of managers who are really helpful and I would sign as many as their fighters as they had available as they make life so much easier. It is only the odd few who do this but it does make running an org a bit more difficult.
Guest
very fitting title indeed. there's a million of these types, so naming wouldn't fix the disease.

Guest
My fighter is currently signed to a contract where it took like 2 weeks to get his first fight offer, and since then he's got two against a guy literally twice as good as him each time. I'm begging for the dude to take your advice
Skap
I doubt the decision came easy for you as you have a big heart and lean towards giving people the benifit. I think you did the right thing without doubt in this situation. Hopefully you dont run across this too much in the future.

listerman
I have my own blacklist personally for frustrating foolishness and im pretty nice to everyone,i dont get it Is that why I have a fighter on his last fight of contract, fighting tonight, and still no contract re-negotiation? Get my name out of your blackbook! Jokes aside, Ricky White is looking for a 3 fights extension. And don't wait until 5 declines man. Usually after 1, if you judge the fight was fair, and he doesn't have an excuse, release the fighter, because it will only complicate matchmaking for you. tp61503
i always ask people when the decline with no reason to give me a reason so i can fix the issue, so far i havnt had to cut anyone for this reason, after i ask they tell me and its all good. Widing
Some people are just bitches, there was a time I tried working with these guys, but eventually it's just pointless. I've just decided to cut ties with these guys who complain and bitch about everything, makes my life way easier. So I agree with your advice here. Steel
I complain and bitch about everything widing does at Dominance, fucker wont boot my guys out. My tactic is to look at contract length, and if its long send them offers to re-set inactivity. I mail a great manager and tell them I'm sending them a fight offer, explain the problem, and they work with me to stitch these bastards up. Sometimes they accept because they realise its futile and I'm not going to release them without causing them aggravation. When the contract length is reduced I then boot them out. But I bore them to death first. However, these cases are very rare. Most managers are great though, its the guys picking up FA's under contract that piss me off when they wont fight or demand release. Another thing I do is look at how often the manager has his guys fight, that normally tells you a lot, and look at who they have their guys fight and whether they take risks. Just because a fighter has a lot of hype doesn't mean he is worth signing. Grief from managers, and feeling all the effort a org owner puts in counting for nothing, results in many org owners jacking it in.
Floppzzy
My god, what am I doing wrong? There's another one declining fights and demanding title fights in the category im hosting a tournament in and when I tried to explain the reaction was: "Well I'm declining unless I get easy fights and a guaranteed title fight" Contact me if you need the name for your personal blacklist. Blacklist will be updated on my company page. Won't name them here, but in every news update i'll add them...
Skap
If the guys unreasonable and a blatant jerk like that Id just out him. Hate mail might do him good Im pretty sure the contract he signed never said "I Guaranteed easy wins until your undisputed champ of my org."
Guest
Ha ha, running an org can be a bitch. I remember back when i was employed in an org in St. Petes, a guy declined a fight and wrote something in russian. Since i didnt understand it i ran it through google translate, it said "please eat dick"
