Gavin "The Gentleman" Blackwood

"Ahh Shinhan, so we meet again. I am very glad to see you were courageous enough to fight me again while others, who shall remain nameless, hid in the shadows and avoid facing a true test. You earned my respect the first time around, but we will be locked inside a cage once again and the outcome will remain the same. My hand will be raised and I will walk out victorious."

What is uppp evryone?

Reikoku, yet another stellar event! We packed the arena and the fighters really brought it today! Good times to be a Choke fan! =)

In our main event James Hartman showed everyone that after the humiliating loss to Jackson Ramos he is not anywhere near done! He looked hungry for revenge today. He took some hard blows in the clinch and asmiled. After he got cut and got to taste of the blood he just got started. Hartman was able to drag the fight to the ground where Otso Koski had no answer. Hartman wrapped up his opponent and made him tap to Americana. Slick and swift work from the fromer champ!

OTN awards were 3k a piece:

FOTN : Kolehmainen vs Fury

KOTN : Conor Brazier

SOTN : James Hartman

Tomorrow we have a HUUUUGE fight when our 135 champ Jackson Ramos will challenge the 145 champ Taisto Anttila in a fight to decide who is the baddest small man in the org! It will be glorious! Stay tuned you savages!!

Chris "The Lion Tamer" Lancier

Moments after Chris Lancier defeated Charles Carey, he recorded a little video for the orginisation and the fans.

“Let that be a lesson Carey, you call me out and I’ll make you tap out. You little rat faced Mumfords ‘n Sunava bitch!”

Chris shook his head, did Corey really think he could beat him?

“You really thought that YOU were the one to end my streak? The one to steal my thunder?! Goddamn man.. You ain’t been knocked out yet in your career but clearly you already suffer of a lot of brain damage. I’d suggest you just give up on your MMA career just like you gave up in that submission. But hey, credit where credit is due; you blocked a good few attempts of mine, and got out that first minute.. I’ll applaud you for that. And hey, join me, give yourself a hand too.. Oh wait that’s right, you can’t ‘cause I fucked your arm up! “

He grinned, looking pleased that he was able to submit Carey and that he ended up getting him in the arm bar.

“Anyways.. Pillow Fists; you versus me, title fight. Whatcha think?!”

Chris just stared into the camera, looking ready to take on the champion. And with that, the video came to an end.

"Oh Steven, there you go getting delusional again. Luck and a lack jiu-jitsu training from myself were the only reason you defeated me. I anticipate the day we square off again and I dismantle ever last bone in your body. I would call you a pretty boy wanna be, but we can all see your Cro-Magnon forehead makes you look like you have down syndrome.

Speaking of another delusional inbred, Innokenti how you managed to get a fight with someone as high ranked as Ward is beyond me. No matter though as he will more then likely punch your teeth down your throat and send you crying back down the rankings. It's too bad that I will be above you in the rankings afterwards and will not have the time of day to bother facing such lowly peasant."

Heyyyy it's me again.

Our second event of this weekend was a huge one (for us)! :D A lot of knock outs but the most devastating finish was in our main event where our former 135 champ Jackson Ramos came up a weight class to challenge Taisto Anttila for his 145 belt! It was like a KO in a form of submission: Anttila shot for a takedown right after the bell rung and managed to get into side control. From there Anttila got the kimura and cranked like hell and Ramos had to tap before it even started! Craaaazy! Looked like Ramos was sleeping or something. He definately wasnt ready for this. What a rude wake up call from Anttila!

The fight between Alexy Innokenti and Micky Ward was an absolute war where both warriors bled and left everything in the cage. Innokenti who was cut and rocked in the 1st came up on top at the end and just overwhelmed Ward with different strikes. Too bad Innokenti's management has got a bit of a big head and we dont see eye to eye in things so that's why I have to let that talent go. I wish him all the best in the future though.

Agent Dee:

Your picture perfect sub victory over Carey was a work of art! Even though you've had only one fight with us I think it's time to give you the title shot. Hands vs Lancier for the Choke middleweight championship of the world @ Choke 029 Daryoku, how does that sound to you?

Alexy Innokenti (260605)

The fight was brutal and that's what I like. The old guy turned out to be one hell of a tough guy. His power, heart and chin make him a tough fight for anyone in the division. I was happy that I trained my kicks well lately and they made a big difference. I landed 34/34 kicks, so clearly my kick training paid off. My chinbones are getting really fucking hard and it's a pleasure to use them to fuck up guys in the cage.

I have decided, together with my management, that it is time for me to go back into training for a good amount of time and then try to make a step up in competition. I just like challenges and by no means want to disrespect the org owner or anyone in this division. That's why I have asked him to give me a good amount of time to really get some training in. I don't want to work myself up to a title fight and possibly win it and then keep the belt hostage. That would have been disrespectul and me and my manager aren't like that. If it turns out that I'm not good enough to fight higher experienced fighters yet, I would be more than happy to return to Choke and stay here, but I want to try and see what I'm capable off. Thanks for the great time I had here and I can certainly recommend this org to any fighter out there that is looking for a contract.

Chris "The Lion Tamer" Lancier

Lancier was pleased to hear from Agent Dee and that he got the shot at the championship.

“That souds good to me Dee, and if I had a heart I would thank you from the bottom of it. You won’t regret doing this fight, it’s time that you’re the 185 division got a talented champion. And who better than me? None.. none are better there me. Figured I’d answer that for you.. “

He shrugged before continuering

“It’s ironic that the current champion is called Pillow Hands, as I’ll be putting him to sleep and he won’t get his hands on me. I, The Lion Tamer, will takethat belt and will put away anyone stupid enough to challenge me for the championship. But hey, I am getting carried away here and don’t want to spoil the future too much for all of you fools in the division.”

Gavin Blackwood http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14132511468050.jpg http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14119346965126.jpg Ethan Nygma

Hey all you Choke fans! We recently had a chance to catch up with two of Choke's most outspoken fighter's in Gavin Blackwood and Ethan Nygma (live via satellite). Let's take a look and see what they had to say...................

Reporter: Thanks again to both of you for taking the time out of your busy training schedules to answer some questions. So how is the training going for the both of you?

Gavin: Training is training. It's something I have done ever since in my early teens. I have been working on what I consider my weaknesses and hopefully learning fast enough to keep pace with the other fighters in Choke.

Ethan: I am training my ass off out here in Helsinki. Although this fight camp was a little shorter then what I am used to, it will be worth it in the end once I reach top of my division.

Reporter: Both of your divisions have loads of talent and guys that are willing to "talk trash". What are your thoughts on each of your respective divisions?

Gavin: Light heavyweight is a deep division here at Choke and it's only going to get deeper as time goes on. I have much respect for most of the fighters in my division. There are a few that irritate me, but it's nothing more that hollow talk from most. Innokenti was one of those so called fighters, if you can call him that, that talked a big game but folded under pressure. Glad to see he has decided to "train" a little before attempting to return to any sort of combat sport because he was becoming a laughing stock.

Ethan: The same can be said for the Featherweight division, but that could be mostly due to it having an influx of fighters moving up from Bantamweight much like myself. Probably the deepest division in Choke as far as talent goes. Not quite as many men willing to banter back and forth, but enough for me to toy with.

Reporter: So you both are facing men that you have previously fought, how do you prepare for a fight like that and what will be different?

Gavin: Well you simply prepare for it like any other fight and work on what you believe you is your greatest weakness that you opponent can exploit. Shinhan and I have had a few fights since our last meeting, so both of us have evolved in certain aspects. We each know what worked and what didn't from that fight and we will build on that.

Ethan: Things are a little different for me. My last fight was against my next opponent and I broke the cardinal rule of mma and left it in the judges hands. I know I won my fight. Thompson knows I won that fight. Hell I'm sure your grandmother knows I won that fight. But when we leave it in the judges hands, stupidity is bound to rear it's ugly head and we all begin to wonder why darwinism isn't something globally supported. As far as preparing, I play things by ear and adjust as needed.

Reporter: Last question, where do you see Choke going in the future?

Gavin: Choke will go as far as we take it. I don't mean just myself and Ethan, we can't do all the work, but all of the fighters currently signed and future signees. It has the potential to be one of the lasting organizations and in a tough place like Tokyo, that truly says a lot about how well it is run from the top. It certainly won't be an easy road, but one that could and should be quite successful.

Ethan: It's hard to rely on such young talent like ourselves to make an organization rise to the top, but with most of the roster being full of youth we have a swagger about us that is hard to match. Maybe we are to young and dumb to realize it or maybe we just really believe in the product that we are putting out there for everyone to see. It will definitely be an interesting few months to say the least and I am glad I will be a part of it.

You are pissing me of Ethan. I granted you a rematch, because I'm a fair guy and think that you earned it, and then your training partner start to talk shit about my brother Alexy...?! Let one thing be clear to you, he didn't asked to be released. He asked more training time, that's all. As he is still very young, he wants to make the maximum out of his training and potential. Is that bad? I don't think so at all, but yeah, think about it what you want. Compared to him, altough being the same age, I'm a shit fighter. I know that and don't care as I do my best as well. That's what it's all about; not giving up and keep pushing forward. Alexy never told to me something about being too good or that he feels that the rest of the division are pussies. He just wants to see how much better that he can become. I don't think he needs to excuse himself for being motivated....

And after being released, he was even a class act and said that Choke is a great org and that he loved his time here. So from my part, no bad feelings at all.

Whatsuuup?

I brought my island fighter Mairbek Krylov in to find out if he can hang with the guys in Choke. Whats the big idea? Well the idea is that almost anyone in the org can challenge him and if the challenger wins he gets some extra cash depending on how he won!!

RULES:

1. Challenger must be ranked P4P 4500 or higher

2. Krylov is a natural 205er. If your fighter is lighter he has to come up to 205, if your fighter is heavier Krylov meets him at his weight class. Remember that the weight in this game doesnt play as much a factor than it does IRL.

HEADHUNT PRIZES:

- win a decision $5k

- win via submission $10k

- win via KO $20k

Toverish! Even I in my vodka hazed days learned to read so why can't you? I will take on anyone in only one condition: the challenger has to be ranked p4p 4500 or better. Once you get there brother I will gladly slay you on the battlefield.

Ya, lets pretend that's the reason. I don't care about rank and any real fighter shouldn't either. I'd fight you in my backyard for nothing for all I care. Fair enough though I will wait to put my hands on you. That will only go toward my favor though so I can't complain. Can't wait to smash your head in. I'll make you look like a fool in there with me. Now run along and go find another chump to fight. In the mean time I will be getting ready for you sweety.

My opponent wasn't able to surprise me at all. Same fight, same strategy, but the one thing that happened was that I suprised my manager. He told me that I have to stop drinking those Japanese Whiskeys before fights as I was clearly throwing wild punches for no obvious reason. Aah, I just like to get a bit tipsy before a fight and in the end the result was good, so who cares..?

The fight was fun and the fans loved it as they gave it a high rating. THat's what I'm here for. I don't want to just win, I want to put on a show and become a fan favorite.
