-[Heavyweight Division: Philo Beddo li vs. Lars Bullock

Round 1 – Lars Bullock opened with a takedown attempt and ate some heavy punches for his trouble. Philo Beddo li opened a cut on Bullock's face with a stiff jab and then tied the man up in a clinch. Having trapped his opponent against the cage, Beddo li went to work landing short range punches and knees to the body of Bullock, visibly knocking the wind out of the man. At first Bullock was firing back but seemed to be hurt to the body from a big shot up the middle and by the end it was all Beddo li throwing strikes.

Round 2 – Philo clinched early and although Bullock tried to fire out a few token knees, it was all Philo throwing strikes with emphasis to the body. Big knees to the head near the end of the round increased the amount of blood flowing from Bullock until he resembled a faucet.

Round 3 – Philo Beddo li opened with a jab and then clinched. This round belonged to Beddo li who put on an even stronger performance than the opening two rounds, battering Bullock to the head and body and really busting his face up. Philo Beddo li def. Lars Bullock via Unanimous Decision (30-25, 30-25, 30-25).

[Main Event]

-[Featherweight Division: Sylvian Lievremont vs. Hans Richter

Round 1 – Hans Richter opened with a failed leg kick and Sylvian Lievremont responded with a failed takedown attempt. Richter pushed forward and tagged Lievremont with an overhand right and Lievremont shot in immediately for a double leg takedown, landing in guard. Richter immediately bounced back to his feet and the two fighters clinched up against the cage. Richter landed some short punches and circled away when Lievremont began working for a takedown against the cage. For the next few minutes, Richter chased Lievremont around the cage popping out crisp punches. Two and a half minutes in, Lievremond scored a counter takedown into side control, but Richter immediately bounded to his feet! Richter worked the jab and Lievremont scored a third takedown, landing in side control once again. Lievremont finished out the round on top threatening with a kimura, although Richter managed to get to half guard on the bottom.

Round 2 – Richter came out swinging wild and Lievremont clinched, attempting to score a quick takedown. Richter broke free and circled away, landing punches as he went. Four minutes in and this round thus far belonged to Richter who was managing to hit without being hit in response. Lievremont clinched and Richter broke free. Lievremont scored a double leg takedown into guard. Richter attempted to brute force escape to his feet as he had done in the opening round and Lievremont passed into half guard. Aside from threaten with a kimura, Lievremont did little with his dominant position however.

Round 3 – Richter had some early success throwing punches in this round but Lievremont scored a takedown into half guard. After thirty seconds of Lievremont stalling on top, the referee stood the fighters up. Richter pushed forward with wild swinging punches that backed Lievremont up but then Lievremont scored yet another takedown, landing in guard on top. As the clock quickly became a mortal enemy of Lievremont, he went for a high risk heel hook and paid for it with his position as Hans Richter reversed into top guard! Lievremont was working a high guard but you could just about feel that everyone knew this fight was just about over and won by Richter. I guess someone forgot to tell Sylvian Lievremont because he rolled for an armbar and actually got it! He forced Hans Richter, who was easily ahead by 2.5 rounds, to submit! Sylvian Lievremont def. Hans Richter via Submission (Armbar) at 4:29 of round 3.

In the co-main event the unfortunately named Test Fighter A seeks redemption, having had his five fight winning streak broken in his most recent fight. Will his power punches be enough to outclass the boxing pedigree of Pedro Navas?

[Prologue]

UnderGround FC 37 features Undisputed Middleweight Champion Giuseppe Turturro bringing his world class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt experience to bear as he attempts to make his first title defense against hard hitting knockout artist Yewis Mybitch. Both men have won the majority of their fights within the opening round, making this a must see main event for the ages.

In the co-main event the unfortunately named Test Fighter A seeks redemption, having had his five fight winning streak broken in his most recent fight. Will his power punches be enough to outclass the boxing pedigree of Pedro Navas?

[undercard]

-[Welterweight Division: Jack Falcon vs. Xay Bizihwaeile

Round 1 – Xay Bizihwaeile came out wild and aggressive and Jack Falcon was able to slip under his punches to counter with a right hand on the button. Bizihwaeile immediately switched to attempting takedowns instead of boxing but Falcon was able to nullify the effort. Falcon circled away and came back with a one-two combination, then a body kick, then a jab. Falcon was piecing Bizihwaeile up. Falcon landed a big combination that dropped Bizihwaeile! When his opponent got back to his feet, Falcon landed an uppercut that knocked Bizihwaeile out cold! Jack Falcon def. Xay Bizihwaeile via KO (Punch) at 0:50 of round 1.

fmCjtCE.jpg

-[Welterweight Division: Andy Sanches vs. Hamilton Scrapple

Round 1 – Andy Sanches came right out of the gate spamming takedown attempts that were easily stuffed by Hamilton Scrapple. For his part, Scrapple tied Sanches up on a failed takedown and clinched with him. Scrapple stalled out the majority of the round controlling Sanches against the cage. Near the end of the round the referee separated them. Sanches landed a few jabs before Scrapple clinched him up to finish the round.

Round 2 – Both men failed miserably at landing punches (or were amazing at deflecting punches depending on how you want to look at it) while Sanches tried desperately to bring the fight to the ground. Scrapple took Sanches down, landing in guard on top. In true Hamilton Scrapple fashion he stalled in the dominant position. After a referee standup at the one minute mark, Scrapple clinched once again... and stalled out the better part of a round before Sanches broke free and circled away. Scrapple clinched and pulled a little wall and stall to close out the round.

Round 3 – Scrapple executed a double leg takedown into half guard and Sanches got back to full guard. Sanches was working the high guard but Scrapple was content to stall on top. After the referee stood them up, Sanches landed a leg kick and Scrapple scored a takedown into guard on top. Scrapple controlled the position to close out yet another exciting round. Hamilton Scrapple def. Andy Sanches via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

GalgEXf.jpg

-[Welterweight Division: Tshephang Batho vs. I Love You Man

Round 1 – Both fighters opened with wild strikes that missed by a mile. Tshephang Batho landed a nice uppercut and stuffed the takedown attempts of I Love You Man. I love You Man scored a takedown into guard. I Love You Man tried to pass the guard but Batho maintained the guard through to the end of the round.

Round 2 – I Love You Man attempted dozens of takedowns to start this round and Batho managed to stuff many of his attempts. Batho landed a jab but inevitably got taken down with Man in guard on top. I Love You Man wanted to pass the guard but couldn't accomplish it so the referee stood them up.

Round 3 – Batho opened with some straight punches early and I Love You Man spammed out some takedown attempts. Batho hurt Man with a counter uppercut but was content to circle on the outside safely without risking getting taken down again, much to the chagrin of the audience in attendance. Tshephang Batho def. I Love You Man via Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26).

-[Lightweight Division: Moe Lester vs. Andrew Balderas

Round 1 – Both fighters were swinging wildly but Moe Lester was hitting and not getting hit, putting a clinic on Balderas early.

Round 2 – Balderas managed to land some shots in this round, making Lester pay for his missed shots. However Moe Lester still absolutely dominated this round with his boxing.

Round 3 – Lester slowed down his assault a bit in this round, picking his shots more carefully so as to not allow Balderas to return fire so effectively. Moe Lester def. Andrew Balderas via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

OrRtZSB.jpg

-[Lightweight Division: Johny Boom vs. Eddy Gordo

Round 1 – Eddy Gordo opened the fight by clinching and then executing a trip takedown into half guard on top. Johny Boom attempted to sweep and Gordo passed into full mount! Gordo postured up and began raining ground and pound down on Boom! Gordo threatened with a submission but went back to dropping ground and pound instead. Boom managed to get back to half guard and Gordo mostly took the remainder of the round off, landing a few shots for points.

Round 2 – Gordo clinched and took the fight to the ground, landing in guard on top once again. Boom with the high guard, working for a possible triangle or armbar. Gordo started dropping elbows from guard. Near the end of the round, Gordo passed into half guard and spent the remaining minute working ground and pound.

Round 3 – Gordo shot in and took Boom down, landing in half guard on top. After landing some shots, Gordo stood back up for some reason. Boom tried very hard to clinch with Gordo and ate a right hand for his trouble. Boom clinched and Gordo landed a big knee before pulling guard. Boom attempted to work some ground and pound but Gordo controlled his wrists to mitigate the damage. Both fighters teased submission attempts and this fight came to a close. Eddy Gordo def. Johny Boom via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

[Main Card]

-[Welterweight Division: Dropkick Flexy vs. Donald McCalister

Round 1 – Donald McCalister tried to score a takedown but Dropkick Flexy stuffed it and clinched the man up. Flexy tried to jump guard and the two separated, but McCalister clinched immediately. Rinse and repeat, the two were clinched for the third time and this time Flexy managed to pull guard. Flexy spent the rest of the round submission spamming.

Round 2 – McCalister managed to stay on the outside and survive the takedown attempts early before clinching with him. Flexy pulled guard and once again submission spammed out the next few minutes of the round.

Round 3 – Flexy clinched early and tried to pull guard but McCalister broke the clinch. For the first time, McCalister pushed forward and began landing punches and kicks that put Flexy on the back pedal. Dropkick Flexy def. Donald McCalister via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

tkYq5Oe.jpg

-[Welterweight Division: Joey Simone vs. Wally Kruschev

Round 1 – Joey Simone opened with a missed spinning back kick and ate a left hook from Wally Kruschev. Simone started finding a home early for his jab, poking and prodding Kruschev from the outside while slipping the returning fire. Kruschev started to come back late in this round and a slugfest ensued between the two for the better part of a minute that had the fans on their feet. The round ended with both fighters throwing leg kicks on each other.

Round 2 – Simone began leaning heavily on his leg kick attacks in this round while Kruschev circled on the outside. Simone clinched and landed a few shots but Kruschev broke free. Midway through the round, Kruschev started firing back with leg kicks and soon the two were trading slapping low kicks again.

Round 3 – Simone really took control in this round. Kruschev still managed to land some shots but really it was all Simone, especially in the moments that he was able to hold a clinch and work the dirty boxing. Joey Simone def. Wally Kruschev via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

ECDHWdI.jpg

[Co-Main Event]

-[Welterweight Division: Test Fighter A vs. Pedro Navas

Round 1 – Pedro Navas clinched early and went to work with short range punches. Test Fighter A tried valiantly to escape the bad position but couldn't get free.

Round 2 – Test Fighter A opened this round with a big uppercut and Navas responded by clinching once again. More of the same as Navas continued to chisel away at the extremely durable Test Fighter.

Round 3 – The first half of this round took place at a striking distance but Test Fighter A was too tired and battered to really make it count. Both fighters were swinging wild here. Navas managed to clinch midway through and went back to pouring on short range shots to win yet another round. Pedro Navas def. Test Fighter A via Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26).

Round 1 – Knowing that his best chance to win this fight was an early knockout, Yewis came heavy straight out of the gate, but the wily champion avoided the blows. Turturro clinched, pulled guard, and slapped on a lightning quick armbar. With this victory, Giuseppe Turturro becomes the first Middleweight Champion in the history of UnderGround Fight Club to successfully defend the title, officially breaking the curse. Giuseppe Turturro def. Yewis Mybitch via Submission (Armbar) at 0:32 of round 1 to retain the Undisputed UnderGround Fight Club Middleweight Championship of the World!

Hello i am Kendo acting as a publicity writer for Underground Fight Cub Org and am pleased to announce that we have a exciting time happening here and we would like to share it with you all.

On the agenda for today is the first in which we hope to be a series of interviews with some of our managers and fighters making a name for themselves in the MMA world.

First up is one of our top managers Rick Steiner who has kindly brought with him one of our top 5 fighters "Souless" Scar Ambe.

Kendo; First many thanks for taking time from your busy schedules to grant me this interview.

Rick; Will this take long ? I am a busy man you know.

Kendo; Shouldn't take too long, i felt it might make a change to get a managers perspective as well as that of the fighters. Shall we crack on?

Rick; You mean we haven't started?

Kendo; Ahem, first question is as they all are to the both of you. Can you tell me and the readers what brought you into the MMA world?

Rick; Well i had some amateur experience as a young fighter but before i contemplated a fight career i soon learned that the real money is not made by getting hit in the face its the guy managing all that, that makes the real money, so here i am.

Scar; Well i suppose it was Rick.

Kendo; Do either of you have any heroes. someone you admire and respect ?

Rick; Myself obviously (big grin) and i suppose Vince McMahon.

Scar; Well it has to be fighters like Dan Severn and good old Randy you know the grinders.

Kendo; What are your favourite food and drinks ?

Rick; Chinese i have it on speed dial, look (shows me his phone) and good old Dr Pepper.

Scar; I stay on a strict diet aided by Underground Supps, so iam ready to whoop anyone at 145 to 170 at any time.

Kendo; What music do you like listening to ? Any favourite albums, tracks or bands ?

Rick; Too busy, besides i wouldn't hear any above the volume of my money machine.

Scar; Nickelback, but basically any hard rock.

Kendo; Is there a film that you would watch more than once ?

Rick; Too busy to waste my time on stuff like that. Are we nearly done here ?

Scar; My fight film with Neves (huge smile)

Kendo; Who is your favourite TV/Film star ?

Rick; I can only take so much,,,,,,,this is ,,,,,,(muttering as he leaves abruptly)

Kendo; Are you still ok to continue Scar?

Scar; Yeh. I heard the first time, i like watching my fights.

Kendo; Apart from MMA is there any other sports you have or still are involved in ?

Scar; I was a wrestler at school and still do some outside of MMA. I still have hopes of making the Olympics.

Kendo; What sports do you watch? Apart from your fights that is.

Scar; If its not KT then it has to be Football.

Kendo; What about your family, any brothers or sisters ? Anyone in your life at the moment ?

Scar; Too focused on my fight career for any relationship and i come from a large family all my brothers are in the MMA game that's because we like to put a lot of hurt on people.

Kendo; Is there a something that helps you focus and that gives you some extra drive when needed ?

Scar; I believe in me and my ability to break anyone. I find thats all i need most of the time apart from that i am tired or hungry so i just do.

Kendo; Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years ?

Scar; Retired bro,,,,after my next few fights i will hang 'em up and move to full time wrestling then you will see me in the Olympics, yeh that's right i'm calling it now.

Kendo; Are there any fighters we should be keeping an eye out for ?

Scar; Me and the guys i train with, Darren Tellkins (KT badass) oh and my family members on the Island.

Kendo; Final question, any special announcements for the fans ? Ant treats in the pipeline ?

Scar; After my next fight i hope to get my 3rd rematch with Litill Bjornson i believe i am the bro to dethrone that total douchebag.

Suddenly Rick bursts back into the room

Rick; Hey i got one, my KT Org in Amsterdam, soon to be the best KT Org in the world.

Kendo Well again thanks for taking the time (Rick starts to leave telling Scar to get a move on if he wants a lift) to give me this interview. all that's left for me to say is thanks for reading hope you enjoyed.

This interview was conducted by Kendo on behalf of Underground Fight Club Org.

Pre Fight Chit Chat

Hello this is Kendo on behalf of Underground Fight Club Org fresh from my quick fire journey around

the globe to bring to you some of the latest chit chat ahead of Underground FC 38.

First stop was Tokyo where i was hoping to catch up with "Beast from the East" Serhey Rishikinov for a

for a quick chat. I finally tracked him down in his favourite Sushi Bar. I try to catch his attention,

(Me) Hi Serhey ? he looks at me and smiles as best anyone could with a mouthfull of raw fish.

(Serhey) Hello, hello come sit, try this (as he offers me some raw fish on the end of a pair of chopsticks)

(Me) Oh er thankyou but all this flying and time zone changes, my stomach hasn't setttled yet.

(Serhey) Plenty of protein in this. (He declares as he once again gestures towards me and after i again

politely decline he finishes his 1st serving)

(Me) I was just hoping to grab a quick word before your upcoming fight with Marin Ivanov.

(His lips curl slightly as he speaks)

(Serhey) Marin Ivanov (He hisses between tight pursed lips)

(Me) Do i sense bad blood ?

(Serhey) For him and anyone on the other side of the cage (starting to relax somewhat)

but maybe a little more for him.

(Me) Any particular reason ?

(Serhey) Little jumped up fighter from nowhere probably seeing this as his way of climbing

the rankings for another feeble attempt at a title (His second serving arrives) Are you sure ?

(he once again gestures to me i simply shake my head) I am a title holder and i will show him why he isn't one.

(Me) (By now the sight and smell was becoming too much) Well,,,,thank you ,,,but you will have to excuse me ,,

i really have to rush (struggling to stop the dry heaving)

(Serhey) Oh so soon ? Pity we have some Squid and Octopus coming along next.

(Me) (By now i am holding back the last thing i ate) thanks ,,good luuuck,,,hope to chat,,again,,some time.

(Serhey) Yeh anytime just bring an appetite next time.

Safely on the plane next stop New York where i will be chatting with Marin Ivanov.

Arriving at the Forge gym i see some sparing going on and see Ivanov joining in with the many voices offering

support and advice.

(Me) Excuse me Marin ? (He turns and smiles)

(Marin) Yes

(Me) Hello i am Kendo (he stops me there)

(Marin) Yes i know you we were expecting you earlier

(Me) Erm well yes unfortunately something came up all of a sudden and well i had to see to that before coming here,

i hope i didn't keep you from anything ?

(Marin) No no it's ok glad your here now (again he smiles) Well what do you want to know ?

(Me) First how do you feel going into this fight ?

(Marin) I couldn't be in better shape.

(Me) Serhey Rishikinov has suggested you might be seeing this as a way to step up the rankings, is that the case ?

(Marin) Well that is the way for everyone. what better way to say that i am ready to become a belt holder than by

beating one up a little bit (he says with a big grin) That has to be the long term goal for everyone to become

a champion and we all start at the bottom and climb up.

(Me) So what would be your short term goal ?

(Marin) Putting a lot of hurt and pain upon Rishikinov.

(Me) Any particular reason ?

(Marin) No not really (He laughs) I see where your trying to go with this, but no, thats always my short term focus,

to beat the other guy on the other side of the cage. (He moves to leave) I am sorry our time was short but,(i jump in)

(Me) I understand my fault i was late.

(Marin) These things happen. (He shakes my hand)

(Me) Thanks anyway , good luck and hope to do this again sometime. (He has already left)

What a stroke of luck as i notice Cosmo "Worldbeater" Hines making last minute preparations before he departs.

Hoping to get a word or two from him and with the latest rumours suggesting a rift of some sort between him and

Callam "Super Crazy" Bowers still fresh in my mind and their manager Scott Pritchard not returning my calls,

i go in search of an answer.

(Me) Hi Cosmo ? Any chance of a quick word ? (He looks up)

(Cosmo) Yeh sure i got time. (We sit on a couple of chairs in a quietish corner)

(Me) I am sure you are aware of the rumours of a rift or grudge of some sort between yourself and Callam Bowers ?

(Cosmo) Yes and to be clear they aint rumours.(He is clearly agitated)

(Me) You mean they are true ?

(Cosmo) Yehall of 'em i can't stand the little twerp.(Stated through gritted teeth)

(Me) So it would be fair to say that this fight has an edge to it ?

(Cosmo)You can say what you want as long as you say i will be shutting his yap.(A pointed finger and waved fist

display his emotion)

(Me) What exactly started all this ?

(Cosmo) He did.

(Me) How ? What happened bem tween you two ?

(Cosmo) Have you met him ?

(Me) No not yet i am hoping to speak to him sometime soon.

(Cosmo) Why,,?,,,Well once you meet him you will get it yada yada yada (Cosmo imitating mouth with his hands

it looks like a naked glove puppet) He never shuts up.

(Me) Oh i see, well (Cosmo is summoned by his one of his trainers)

(Cosmo) Sorry bro gotta go and whoop some yappy chappy

(Me) Yeh no worries, good luck and hope to catch you again sometime.

(Cosmo) Yup ok bro. (Speaking as he leaves)

Well this appears to be a novel way for a manager to restore order within his "stable".

With Underground Org giving me unprecedented access to one of their executive jets i set off for Amsterdam for

Underground FC 38, with a stop over in Helsinki where i should find Callam "Super Crazy" Bowers.

A quick taxi ride to the Blanc Fitness Academy and i soon see Callam packing a few items for the trip.

(Me) Excuse me Callam ?

(Callam) Yeh that's me (He turns to look at me) Oh it's you (He holds out his hand and we shake) How are you ?

(Me) Oh a little jet lagged but more importantly how are you ? The readers are not onterested in me (He laughs)

(Callam) I am fine man all good, whats on your mind ?

(Me) Well this rift between you and Cosmo Hines really, what is it all about ?

(Callam) Have you met him ?

(Me) Uhm yes.

(Callam) And ?

(Me) He said the same thing to me about you.

(Callam) What ? Jeez thats him all over, always someone else never him.

(Me) Is this just a difference in opinion as to which one of you is top dog to the other ?

(Callam) He has different opinions to everyone on everything but after the fight he will know his place.

(He picks up his flight bag) Its been fun chatting but i have somewhere else to be.

(Me) Yeh no worries thanks for the chat.

(Callam) All good man.

(Me) Good luck hope to do this again sometime. (HE turns and shakes my hans again and leaves)

Well hopefully this has wetted some appetites in readiness for Underground FC 38. A special thanks to Underground Org

for the use of a company jet, couldn't have done it without it.

This is Kendo writing for Underground Fight Club Org and it been my pleasure.

"Today, our nation saw evil -- the very worst of human nature -- and we responded with the best of America. With the daring of our rescue workers, with the caring for strangers and neighbors who came to give blood and help in any way they could." - George W Bush

[The Prelims]

-[Middleweight Division Division: Alejendro Gutterio vs. Mitch Raynes

Round 1 – In a battle of promotional newcomers, two Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belts poised ready to make a grand introduction to this tremendous event. Mitch Raynes came out swinging for the fences immediately but Alejendro Gutterio clinched with him to slow his assault. Raynes wanted to stall with his back to the cage but Gutterio was having none of it, pressing his fellow grappler against the cage and hammering away at his body and head with punches and knees. As the defenses of Raynes began to noticeably slow against the cage, Gutterio began my least favorite style of combat to write about: clinch and break clinch on repeat. Finally near the end of the round, Gutterio brought the fight to the ground and submitted Raynes with a guillotine choke with one second left in the bout.

Alejendro Gutterio def. Mitch Raynes via Submission (Guillotine) at 4:59 of round 1.

-[Lightweight Division Division: Rodrigo Lopez vs. Evgeny Popov

Round 1 – Rodrigo Lopez landed an early body shot and tried to follow his success with a takedown but it was defended well by Evgeny Popov, who responded by taking Lopez down instead. Popov advanced from guard to half guard before going to work with ground and pound and threatening with submissions. Lopez managed to get back to guard but Popov spent the remainder of the round on top landing strikes.

Round 2 – Popov opened this round with a big tower takedown into side control! Popov attempted a guillotine from the top but instead spent the round on top dropping bombs. For his part, Lopez had a little success defending from the bottom but still cleanly lost the round.

Round 3 – Lopez tried to score a takedown to start this round but quickly found himself trapped with Popov pressing him against the cage. Lopez escaped the position, tried to work some punches out, but quickly got taken down by Popov. Lopez escaped to his feet and then pressed Popov against the cage. Popov executed a trip takedown into half guard but the referee stood them up after a minute of inactivity. Popov shot in for takedown attempt after takedown attempt but Lopez managed to remain on his feet for the remainder of the round while landing zero strikes from this position.

Evgeny Popov def. Rodrigo Lopez via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-28, 30-27).

-[Bantamweight Division: Caeser Kombomuizc vs. Kalvin Harper
